Thanks to Curieously for finding this unique pink Mid-Century Modern home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. 4bds, 3ba, $1.190M. It looks freshly painted in white, a clean slate, waiting for the buyer to put their own stamp on it. I think that the first thing I would change is the yellow door. The owners are currently renting it out on Airbnb. So, let's go inside.

It is a spacious open concept, rounded, with the ceiling reflecting the scalloped roof line.

Since the wall is one continuous curve, it may be cost effective to leave it white and decorate with colorful furniture and art on the walls. I would also lose the dull and dated light fixture.

There is a lot of space for a dining room between the living room and kitchen. The table could easily fit across to separate the two areas.

The owners had the dated cabinets painted green and changed out the hardware. I like green cabinets, but not that particular green. The glass block island is nice, but doesn't sparkle like glass block. Maybe it needs a good cleaning.

Oh, there's a cabinet inside, maybe that's why, you see the back of the furniture thru it.

They painted a feature in the primary bedroom. You can always paint or paper a bedroom b/c it's a smaller space.

The glass block wall is very nice.

Lovely en-suite bathroom has siding doors to a terrace.

The 2nd bedroom is also very nice and has doors to a terrace.

Bathroom #2 is spacious and has cabinets painted to match the kitchen.

The bedrooms are all very nice, get a lot of light, and have access to the terrace.

On the ground level is a spacious rec room with a kitchenette. More green cabinets.

A door in the rec room opens to the pool.

Beautiful pool with a big patio, covered area under the house, and a pergola.

The lot measures .44 acre.

The home is just down the road from the Gulf of Mexico.

A R C H I P E L A G O x SimspirationBuilds collab (patreon - beachfront tier, early access)

You guys, I am so very excited to share this month's set. SimspirationBuilds & I got together to create a HUGE set to fully customize a build idea that was really inspiring us. The idea is set around a co-working space & café. We wanted to create a super cozy but modern working environment. The 1st floor would be an area to gather, take a coffee break & relax. The second floor is divided in small working areas, with a bigger space for meeting/sales pitch etc. We totally had in mind a place to allow different types of small businesses to work in the best atmosphere possible. Cozy, but work oriented, with all the amenities in one building. The goal is to bring together self-employed people, small businesses & entrepreneurs all under the same roof. Hence, the name archipelago.

For this collab, we both created separate sets that complete each other. To download @simspirationbuilds part of the collab & have access to her content (20 meshes) & build, head over to her tumblr (or instagram or patreon). All the content is, as usual, early access.

Now, regarding my content: I created 26 new meshes (!!), from sofas to desk, to clutter. Adding to these 6 different minimal-type windows, a glass door, a cozy little deco reading nook etc! For the archipelago collab, all the content in my preview pictures is staged for the purpose of showcasing a café/work environment, but I definitely see most of those pieces used in a regular home as well, to create a cozy living area or a home office space.

Now that I finished posting the chapters I can finally post my latest illustration

The prince rushed down the hallway, with a determined look, heavy, steady steps and a large pile of newspapers. Entering the main dining room, he didn't even bother to sit down before slamming the papers against the table. He pointed his finger to the title of an article and told his brother-in-law next to him:

"Read that!"

“Maksim Vladimirovich Sokolov died in a fire in his own laboratory, only a day after having been found guilty of his parents’ poisoning. ”

"As he very well deserved!" he exclaimed, full of confidence.

"What is it that you want from me, Tolya? You arrive late for breakfast, you don't greet me and now you desperately want me to read this 25 year old newspaper. You weren't even born then!"

"Sorry, Radek, but this was rather urgent. You didn't believe me when I told you of lab-made diseases, so I did a bit of research on that. If they existed then, they also do now. Read the other articles as well, you'll find everything you need to know about that 'scientist'.”

Radek looked at him in confusion for a second, then widened his eyes in disbelief. It was only now that he noticed Anatoliy was dressed the same as the previous day, and he was pale and with dark circles under his eyes.

"Did you stay up all night just to prove me wrong? It wasn't that serious of a debate either!"

"I knew you wouldn't take me seriously, so I went to the archives immediately after finishing yesterday's breakfast in order to do some research. I was certain I would find much information, and as you can see, I did."

Radek placed his palms on his forehead and sighed, then continued:

"Please, stop now. (...)"

I may be insecure about other parts of my writing but I am very satisfied with the opening for this novel, I think it sets the stage well in terms of mood and characterisation.

Thank you for the ask!

The main character of my novel is Anatoliy, the son of the emperor (but not the heir; he is the middle child).

In terms of personality, he is a very passionate person, both for the better (he puts a lot of attention and care into his interests and his loved ones) and for the worse (in modern times he would 100% be diagnosed w/ OCD, being unable to let go of his fears and worries). His main quality would be honesty and his main flaws would be stubbornness and recklessness. He thus perceived by others as rather immature (he's almost 22 in the first chapter) and a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but he is well loved by his family despite the disagreements.

In terms of values, he is very religious (but it would be accurate to say that he tends towards legalism). What he values the most in life is justice, but to the detriment of forgiveness, and honesty, to the detriment of grace.

In terms of relationships, he is the kind of person to put people into two main groups: friends vs enemies. Towards people he considers to be friends he is very kind and loyal, but, as he in fact does in the first chapters, he would take matters into his own hands if he thought somebody harmed his loved ones. As it stands, his circle of trusted people is rather small, consisting mostly of his family members (father, two sisters, a brother-in-law, 3 nephews, uncle and as of recent his wife and newborn).

The main plot involves him assassinating the neighboring king because he believed him to be guilty for his father's death, and only afterwards does he learn that the man was innocent.
