Let my love erase all your doubts
Summary:
While traveling with Loki in Asgard on a mission for the TVA, Mobius stumbles upon what appears to be a tender moment between Sif and his lover. When Loki finds him in their room, Mobius lets his jealousy take possession of him to Loki's great surprise.
Tumblr request :
How about writing a jealous Mobius as he and Loki are in Asgard? Loki paying attention to someone else that's not family?

"Hahaha! No! Did he really do that?!"
"Yes he did, Sif, I swear! I don't know if at that moment it was jealousy or disappointment because I had betrayed him, but he really did."
Mobius, recognizing Loki's voice and still trying to find his way through the endless hallways of Asgard, used the sound of Loki's voice to direct himself. He arrived in front of a room closed just by a curtain.
Through the curtain, he saw his lover sitting close and laughing with Sif, the young, athletic and attractive woman that Mobius had used to "torture" Loki.
But now it was Loki who looked very intimate with the young woman.
Mobius didn't know what held him back, but he remained in the doorway, not signalling his presence.
"I admit," Sif continued, "That many times I've had the urge to punch you in the face, but to put you through this over and over again... terrific."
Loki grimaced at the memory.
"But tell me, Mobius and you, is this all serious?" the young woman asked softly. She whispered something else to Loki  that Mobius couldn't hear.
Loki answered, a smile in his voice, "It's true that I prefer when they are well groomed, elegant, in short, classy. But this one, even though it's ordinary, is really more practical. It fits better with what I am now. I'm not really a prince anymore, so I don't need all that elegance."
Sif muttered something again that Mobius could not understand.
Loki answered in the same tone as before.
"Hahaha, yes I know, but for now I'll settle for it, until I find a model that combines elegance and efficiency."
Mobius didn't wait to hear more, so he left with a rush, consumed by anger and disappointment.
"Mobius, my friend! Did you find my brother?"
Mobius took a deep breath to try and keep his composure and replied to Thor, "No but that's okay, I'll go to our room, get some rest."
He moved quickly under the thoughtful gaze of the god of thunder.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed with his back to the door and did not hear Loki enter a few moments later.
"Mobius?"
Mobius replied in a cold tone, "So? Finished your little interlude with your precious Sif?"
"One in every port, right? Or rather one in every planet? After all, it's true, with so many years of life..."Loki stood in front of him, looking completely uncomprehending.
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Mobius had an angry scowl on his face, his lips pursed, and did not answer.
"Mobius?"
He didn't answer and instead got up and quickly approached Loki, grabbed him by the collar of his jacket, so strongly that Loki's feet almost didn't touch the ground and kissed him full on the lips. The kiss had nothing tender, however, even if Loki was surprised by this abrupt and wild side of Mobius, and never the excitement had risen so quickly. He wanted to grab Mobius's head to deepen the kiss even more but Mobius didn't let him and pulled back, saying with a hard voice, "Don't touch me!" and then resumed the kiss in an even wilder way.
Loki, more and more surprised, but enjoying this dominating side, let himself be completely done. His crotch pressed against Mobius' thigh and he began to rub himself, feeling his hardness grow, he had never been so hard so fast.
Mobius pulled back again and asked in the same cold tone, "And that's fancy enough? and that's classy enough?" before devouring Loki's lips again. Loki's mind was so foggy with desire that he didn't understand what Mobius was saying.
Mobius pressed his thigh against Loki's groin and moved faster and faster and Loki felt the pleasure rising and his orgasm approaching at the speed of a tornado.
Mobius moved aside again and spat out, "I'm convenient right? You like using me like this?" before continuing what he was doing, and Loki, too far into the pleasure, didn't even hear, as his orgasm took him over.
Mobius released him abruptly and Loki had to lean against the dresser behind him to keep from falling.
Slowly coming back from his lightning climax and catching his breath, Loki opened his eyes to see that Mobius was there, frozen, the image of anger, fists clenched and breathing heavily. Little by little Loki's mind realized that there was something very wrong.
"Mobius?"
Mobius looked at him with icy eyes, "I'm convenient huh, not elegant but convenient. How did you tell your dear Sif? Ah yes, ordinary, until you find something better."
Loki, didn't understand anything, and replayed the last few hours in his head, but he couldn't see what Mobius was getting at.
"But Mobius, what are you talking about?"
"Don't lie to me Loki, I just heard you tell Sif! You prefer style and elegance. Which I obviously don't have, but you're content with me, since I'm convenient for you, right?"
Then Loki understood everything and could not help but laugh.Mobius, shocked, said, "That's right, laugh at me!  Loki, how could you?"
"Mobius, stop! You're completely wrong, I swear I wasn't talking about you! Wait!"
Loki pulled the flaps of his own jacket forward and said to Mobius, "I meant the outfit, my outfit."
"You've got to be fucking kidding me right now!"
"Love, give me your hand, I'll show you our whole conversation."
Loki brought Mobius' hand to his temple and projected the discussion he had with Sif.
"But tell me, Mobius and you, is this all serious?" the young woman asked softly. She leaned over and whispered in Loki's ear, "I'm surprised by your outfit, you're not even wearing your prince's clothes anymore."
"It's true that I prefer when they are well groomed, elegant, in short, classy. But this one, even though it's ordinary, is really more practical. It fits better with what I am now. I'm not really a prince anymore, so I don't need all that elegance."
Sif whispered, "No, but you don't even wear your helmet anymore.
Loki answered in the same tone as before.
"Hahaha, yes I know, but for now I'll settle for it, until I find a model that combines elegance and efficiency."
"Well, now that we've talked about clothes, you didn't answer the first part of my question, Mobius and you, is this serious?"
There was no mockery nor judgment in her voice.
Loki lost his playful look, his face took on a serious expression and his voice was firm and determined as he replied, "Sif, this is the most serious relationship I have ever had. Mobius is... Mobius has been the unexpected on my path of destruction, the surprise I never thought I would have. He has made me better... even greater, he manages to make me believe that I can be better."
Sif hugged him and said, her eyes shining with emotion, "When you talk about him like that, I feel like I'm seeing the young Loki running around and going out on the town with his brother again. I'm happy for you. Really."
Loki gently removed Mobius' hand from his temple and kept it in his own.
"I..." Mobius seemed to deflate like a balloon. He went to sit on the edge of the bed again, took his head in his hands and said in a breath, "I'm sorry..."
Loki went to sit next to him and just put his hand on his thigh, waiting for Mobius to calm down a bit.
After a few moments of silence, Mobius spoke up again, "How can you be here like this, when I just behaved in such a despicable way?"
"Hey Mobius, did I say no? And if I had said no, would you have stopped?"
"Yes, of course!" protested Mobius at once.
"You see?" replied Loki softly, "To tell you that I wasn't surprised would be a lie. And to say I didn't like it would also be a lie. Would I mind a repetition? Yes, but certainly not with you in that state of mind. Because it's now obvious that you didn't enjoy it at all."
"I'm sorry I misunderstood."
"That I think is the next topic we need to talk about, right now actually." Loki took Mobius' chin in his hand to make him look up before continuing, "Mobius, how could you jump to such conclusions?"
"I... sometimes I have this feeling of inadequacy, that I'm not good enough for t-"
"Oh Mobius, look at me, I'm the one who should be saying that. You've seen all my darkness, all the evil I'm capable of. I'm the one who sometimes thinks that one day you'll realize that I'm not worthy of your love."
"Loki, never doubt my feelings for you. I told you from the beginning that I knew you were capable of good, even before there was anything between us, and you proved it to me again and again."
Loki grabbed Mobius' hand and intertwined his fingers in it.
"We're getting to where I wanted to. Yes I know your feelings and I believe in them, and that's what makes me overcome this feeling of not being suitable, because I know that you love me. And so, I say to myself that if you can't overcome this feeling of inadequacy, it's maybe because you don't have the same faith in my love? Mobius, you know that I love you, don't you?"
"Yes I know that, but every now and then that little voice gets a little louder, especially when I see you with someone younger, someone prettier."
Loki pressed his forehead against Mobius' and whispered, his lips against his, "So I want you to try every time you have that voice in your head, to remember that exact moment."
He closed the distance between them and kissed Mobius tenderly before pulling back and telling him looking into his eyes. "I love you Mobius. You are perfect for me."
A single tear escaped from Mobius' eyes, and Loki wiped it away with his thumb before hugging Mobius. And they stayed like that for a long time.
Then Mobius felt Loki laugh in his hair. He straightened up and looked at him with a curious look.
"What's so funny?"
"I was just thinking that under different circumstances, I wouldn't mind re-doing what happened before."
Mobius laughed and brought his lips closer to Loki, who was happy to again find the sparkling sparkle in his lover's eyes and his irresistible smile.
Then he was no longer able to think, because that was the effect Mobius had as soon as he placed his lips on his.

Loki Series Rewrite (AKA Loki Series But With Squirrel Girl) Ep 4
INT. TVA - DAY
Mobius and Ravonna are talking.
RAVONNA
Every moment those variants are out there, we're all in danger.
MOBIUS
I'm working on it; Doreen's locket is charging... It should be ready any second now-
Just then, an AGENT enters, holding the locket.
AGENT
Sir, we got a location.
MOBIUS
Well, there you go.
AGENT
He's on Lamentis-1, 2077. I can only assume she's there with him.
MOBIUS
That's not good... We need to get them, fast.
INT. TIME THEATER - DAY
After Loki and Sylvie are apprehended and Loki is stuck in the time loop, Mobius interrogates him in the time theater.
LOKI
You betrayed me!
MOBIUS
No, you betrayed me! You followed that variant when I explicitly told you not to, and now you're working with her?!
LOKI
How did you find us?
MOBIUS
Oh, well, you can thank your friend Doreen for that. You know, she went through all the trouble of fixing it when it was broken just to find you.
Loki's eyes widen.
MOBIUS
You know, I have no idea why she bothers putting up with you. At first, I thought, "well, maybe, she's smart. Maybe she sees something in you that I don't." But now, I think maybe she's just being naïve and she's wasting her time and trust on someone who doesn't deserve it.
Loki grits his teeth.
MOBIUS
How long have you been working for the variant?
LOKI
Me? Working for her? Please.
MOBIUS
Okay, so, if you're not working for the variant, what is it? You're partners?
LOKI
Absolutely not. She's... difficult and... irritating, and... she tries to hit me all the time!
Mobius raises an eyebrow.
LOKI
No. Not partners, no.
MOBIUS
Yeah, I guess you don't do partners. Unless, of course, it benefits you and you intend to betray them at some point, like you'll probably do with Doreen.
LOKI
It was a means to an end, Mobius. Welcome to the real world. Down there, we're awful to one another to get what we want.
MOBIUS
And now I gotta have a prince tell me how the real world works? Look, if you're not gonna cooperate here, I'm just gonna have to send you back for another round in the time loop...
LOKI
Wh-No, wait! Wait, wait, wait.
He pauses for a moment, and Mobius sits back down.
LOKI
Of course it was me pulling the strings all along.
(Beat)
She came to me on Asgard a long time ago... and then, she took me to one of her apocalypses... and that's where we hatched our plan together.
Mobius raises an eyebrow.
MOBIUS
Which is...?
LOKI
Coming along very nicely, thank you.
MOBIUS
And the variant?
LOKI
Doesn't matter. She's a pawn.
(Beat)
Something very, very big is going to happen, and when it does, I'll dispose of her.
MOBIUS
Well, we saved you the trouble there. She's already been pruned.
Loki's face falls.
MOBIUS
So, assume I do set you free. Does that-
LOKI
H-hang on, wait, what did you say?
(Beat)
MOBIUS
Assume I do set you free...
LOKI
The variant. She's gone?
MOBIUS
Yeah. Not before she took out two of ours. Yeah, she was going to her time cell, broke free, Hunter B-15 stepped in, popped her... So you might wanna fire off a thank-you note to Hunter B-15, because it looks like you're the... superior Loki. I would've bet on her, but... that's what makes a horse race.
Loki tries to look unaffected and shrugs.
LOKI
Good riddance.
After a pause, Mobius starts laughing, which irritates Loki.
LOKI
What? What's so funny?
MOBIUS
You know, for the god of mischief and lies, you really are a terrible liar.
LOKI
Is she alive?!
MOBIUS
Yes, she's alive. And I know that little story you told me was a lie too. So why don't we try this again, and you tell me the truth this time?
Loki clenches his jaw.
INT. TVA HOLDING CELL - DAY
Doreen slowly regains consciousness, blinking a few times before taking in her surroundings. She notices she is still in her ballgown and bound to a chair with handcuffs. She tries to use her strength to break the handcuffs off, but Ravonna enters.
RAVONNA
Save your energy. If you break those handcuffs off, they'll just put themselves right back together.
Doreen glares at her. Ignoring her warning, she uses her strength to snap the handcuffs off, but, like Ravonna said, they put themselves back together on Doreen's hands.
RAVONNA
Told you.
DOREEN
What do you want?
RAVONNA
I want to know what you saw in those restricted files you accessed. And I also want to know why you're working with Loki. He's a murderer and a liar.
Doreen scoffs.
DOREEN
Yeah, that's rich, coming from you. You're lying to all these people about who they are, and they don't even know it.
RAVONNA
That's different. It's a necessary lie.
DOREEN
There are no "necessary lies," only ones that benefit you at the expense of others. These people had families! Real homes! And you took that from them!
RAVONNA
We are preventing the universe from falling into chaos.
DOREEN
And at what cost?
RAVONNA
(losing her temper)
Whatever cost is necessary!
(She pauses.)
You know, despite what you may think, I am trying to help you.
DOREEN
I don't need your "help."
RAVONNA
Really? So you would rather side with the man that nearly enslaved your entire planet?
DOREEN
That was the past. He's changed.
RAVONNA
You know, I would think that someone as smart as you would be able to tell when they're being taken advantage of.
DOREEN
You don't know Loki.
RAVONNA
On the contrary, Ms. Green, I know everything about Loki. Every variant of him - they're all the same. Destined to be a selfish, lying murderer from the day they're born to the day they die.
DOREEN
That's not your choice to make! The only ones who get to decide who we are, are ourselves.
RAVONNA
Not as long as the timekeepers are around. Free will is a poison that leads to chaos. Having a set path to keep everything in its place is the only way to keep life in the universe safe.
(Beat)
Look... You can still do the right thing here. All I'm asking you to do is help me stop these Loki variants. With your help, we can save all living beings from their reign of chaos. We aren't your enemies, Doreen! The universe needs us to protect it... for all time.
After a moment, a scornful smirk grows on Doreen's face.
DOREEN
Yeah, you keep telling yourself that.
Ravonna glares at her. After a moment, she steps closer to Doreen.
RAVONNA
You wanna know what happens to you on the timeline?
Doreen's face falls.
RAVONNA
You'll spend the rest of your life hiding from people who either want to lock you in a prison or a lab cage. Did you really think running around stopping bank robberies was going to change how people see you? You're a mutant. A freak to the rest of the world. You will always be an outcast.
Doreen clenches her jaw, blinking away tears as Ravonna leaves.
INT. RAVONNA'S OFFICE - DAY
Mobius is talking with Ravonna, growing more and more suspicious of her.
RAVONNA
Case closed.
(She and Mobius clink glasses of whiskey.)
Cheers.
MOBIUS
Cheers.
RAVONNA
To putting all of this behind us. Now we just need to take care of sending the mutant girl home.
MOBIUS
Oh, hey, where is she, by the way?
RAVONNA
Holding cell 15.
Mobius frowns.
MOBIUS
You put her in a holding cell? Why?
RAVONNA
She's an associate of the variant. She could be working with him.
MOBIUS
Yeah, but we don't know that! She helped us find him! I don't see why she should be punished for a crime she hasn't even committed yet.
RAVONNA
I'm not taking any risks on this one, Mobius.
Mobius gives her a suspicious glance.
INT. TVA HOLDING CELL - DAY
After Mobius is pruned and Loki is reunited with Sylvie, Ravonna forces them into Doreen's holding cell. Loki's eyes widen when he sees Doreen is being held by two agents with a time displacement collar around her neck.
LOKI
Doreen...
In a last-ditch attempt, Doreen tries once more to break her handcuffs off. One of the agents shocks her with an electric staff, and she screams in pain. Loki glares at Ravonna.
LOKI
You said you wouldn't hurt her!
RAVONNA
Consider this a taste of your own medicine. Your break your promise, I break mine.
The agents release Doreen, who collapses to the ground, now sobbing. Loki rushes over to her and helps her up.
DOREEN
(Crying)
Loki... M-Mobius... It's my f-fault he's dead... I couldn't stop them... He was... I c-couldn't...I should've...
LOKI
No, Doreen, look at me. It's not your fault.
DOREEN
I sh-should've stopped them... I-I...
Exhausted, she passes out.
RAVONNA
(to Loki and Sylvie)
Once the timekeepers are ready, they'll deal with you.
(She gives a passing glance to Doreen.)
And once she's had her memories of the TVA wiped, we'll send her back to the main timeline where she belongs.
Loki glares at her as she and the agents leave them and lock the cell.
We cut to later, where Loki and Sylvie are looking after Doreen, who is lying unconscious on a bench in the cell.
LOKI
It's been at least an hour... Do you think we should try waking her up?
SYLVIE
She just had 50,000 volts of power forced through her body; I think we can let her rest a little longer.
Loki looks down at Doreen, still concerned.
SYLVIE
If she's not a variant, why did she come here? Who is she?
(Beat)
LOKI
She's... a mortal. One of the kindest I've ever known.
(He gently tucks a strand of stray hair behind Doreen's ear.)
Ever since we met, she's made a point of looking after me.
(He lets out a light laugh.)
I can't, for the life of me, understand why. I assumed it was just out of the goodness of her heart... Or, perhaps, just pity...
He looks up and sees Sylvie studying him with a curious expression. Before he can ask why, Doreen begins to stir.
DOREEN
Loki...?
He gently places a hand on her back as she starts to sit up. She glances at Sylvie, still regaining consciousness.
DOREEN
Oh, hey... Sorry I almost stabbed you in the face...
SYLVIE
Well, to be fair, I did kick you in the face, so I suppose we're even... Are you alright? Where'd you get the dress?
DOREEN
Oh... I had to go to Asgard to fix the locket. My clothes didn't exactly fit in, though, so I had to change.
LOKI
Well, that's why you should always rely on a genderfluid demigod to design your costumes. I know what works.
Doreen smirks.
DOREEN
Yeah, well, you weren't there, because I was too busy trying to save your ass!
(After a pause, her smile fades.)
Loki, everyone here... They're all variants too.
LOKI
I know. I told Mobius. That's why they...
(His voice trails off.)
DOREEN
I hacked into their database to get information on the agents... But Ravonna came after me before I could tell anyone. I'm so stupid! I never should've let my guard down!
SYLVIE
There'll be time for taking blame later. Did you find anything out about the timekeepers?
DOREEN
No... I'm sorry... I didn't get that good of a look... Oh! But good news for us, I did figure out why magic doesn't work in the TVA! I guess they have these things called "runes" set up around the whole area? So as long as those are active, your powers are useless.
Loki frowns.
LOKI
Well, how is that "good news" for us?
DOREEN
Because... Ravonna didn't count on me teaching Tippy-Toe how to hack into their systems and disable the runes, and also the time displacement collars, your welcome, which she should be doing right about...
The time displacement collars and handcuffs suddenly deactivate and fall to the ground.
DOREEN
Now!
As she stands up to move to the other side of the cell, Loki and Sylvie test their magic and see their hands are now glowing green.
SYLVIE
Oh, I like her.
They join Doreen at the other side of the cell.
DOREEN
Now, we just need to figure out a way to get out of here...
(Beat)
LOKI
You have the strength and speed of a squirrel, right?
DOREEN
Proportional strength and speed, yes.
LOKI
And squirrels have a jaw strength of around 7,000 pounds per square inch, right?
DOREEN
Right...
LOKI
Which means that, converted to your size, you should be able to chew through any metal wall, correct?
Doreen gives him a sour face.
DOREEN
I really don't like where you're going with this...
LOKI
Do you have any other plans for breaking out of an impenetrable steel cell?
Doreen sighs.
We cut to Doreen chewing through the wall and creating a tunnel to a corridor in the TVA. She spits out a piece of the metal and gags.
DOREEN
Uuuuggghhh, that was so gross!
(She climbs out of the tunnel.)
Okay, guys, you should be good to-
Before she can say another word, Loki and Sylvie use their magic to create another hole in the wall, and simply walk out of the cell.
DOREEN
Wh-?
(She turns to look at the hole they made.)
You could've just done that the whole time?!
LOKI
You did give us our magic back.
(Beat)
DOREEN
What did you just make me chew through the wall for, then?!
LOKI
Because it was amusing, of course.
SYLVIE
It was quite funny.
Doreen scowls at them.
DOREEN
You know, it was annoying enough having to deal with one Loki; now I have to put up with two of you?!
Loki and Sylvie laugh as she flips them both off. They each take a hand to help her to her feet.
DOREEN
Alright, I'll go gather some weapons and maybe get some more intel. You guys go take care of the timekeepers. I'll catch up with you later.
INT. TVA - MOMENTS LATER
Loki and Sylvie are running through a corridor, while Doreen goes the opposite way.
SYLVIE
Was it really a good idea to leave the mortal girl to take on all those agents by herself? Shouldn't we be helping her?
They stop running to see Doreen being ambushed by a group of agents. They try to prune her, but she uses the cape on her dress to temporarily blind them and kick the prune sticks out of their hands. She then jumps on top of the group as they all run in her direction and slams their heads together, knocking them all out simultaneously.
(Beat)
LOKI
She'll be fine.
SYLVIE
Yeah.
They continue running.
We cut to them running towards the timekeepers' chambers, when they run into Ravonna and several other agents, with their prune sticks ready.
RAVONNA
Right on time. The timekeepers are waiting for you.
Loki and Sylvie glare at her.
INT. TIMEKEEPERS' CHAMBERS - DAY
After discovering the timekeepers are fake, Loki turns to Sylvie.
LOKI
Sylvie... Trust me, we will figure this out.
SYLVIE
Not another pep talk, please...
LOKI
No, listen to me... We've come this far... We're not turning back now. We just need-
Before he can say another word, Ravonna prunes him.

Legacy
Yo, hedgie squad! I’m back with another quick one shot that I found in my Ipad, and decided to post it here! So, what inspired me to write this is the word ‘Legacy.’ Hamilton constantly repeated the same word throughout the musical, and he defined it in such a unique way. And I quote “Legacy...what is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see... I wrote some notes at the beginning of a song someone will sing for me,” - The World Was Wide Enough; Act Two
That made me think about Sonic. I try not to think of a Hamilton crossover with Sonic, because Hamilton ends up cheating on his wife, and I can’t imagine Eliza’s pain go to Amy. Although Amy definitely fits the part of Eliza, I just don’t want to feel their heartbreak, as that’s what fanfiction does to me. I thought:
“Sonic doesn’t seem like the type to settle down, but he would need his legacy to be passed on to the future, for any villains that may rise when Sonic passes. What if he asks the woman most dearest to his heart to bear the son of Sonic the Hedgehog?” That’s right, folks. The foreplay and aftermath of how his legacy passes on. There is no lemon in this, but rated M for mature themes. If you want the more ‘mature’ version, I’m currently making it, and it’ll be on my Wattpad.
It was a summer night, and a thunderstorm had just passed Amy’s humble little cottage in the meadow, the sun peaking out from the dark clouds above. A 26 year old Amy Rose had opened up her curtains, smiling at the sight in front of her. It was Sonic. The sun’s rays were shining above his head, creating a halo in her innocent jade eyes. After watching him slowly approach her door, she realized that he was coming to her house.
She opened it to reveal a royal blue hedgehog with long blue quills. He wore a scarf, Amy personally didn’t think it was appropriate for the weather they were in. He wasn’t the only one to have grown. She wore a mature dress, a little tight, but that’s what makes her look like a woman, Rouge told her once. She had also grown her quills out as well. She smiled genuinely, Sonic doing the same. He slowly walked in when Amy moved to the side for him. They stood there, beside the closed door, the windows showing that the sun had become even more brighter. She decided to speak up, seeing as the awkward tension was rising.
“...Wow, it’s not everyday we see the hero of Mobius walk into the abode of his number one fan...” She had hesitated, but Sonic could clearly hear a faint joking tone.
“I like to think of you as good friend, but if you wanna go along ‘number-one fan,’ I’m not stopping ya.” Sonic could see the miniature glint of sadness appear in her eyes upon being called his best friend, but she covered it up with her cheery demeanor.
“Just tell me what you’re here for?” This time, he heard her mature voice, something age gives you along the path of life. She smirked as she said it, but Sonic was not here to joke. He sighed.
“I’m here to ask you a very big favor. If you need time to think about it, I’ll let you do so. Please, just hear me out.” Amy’s smug smile had faltered, wondering what he would ask of her.
“What is it?” She asked, leading him straight to her living room. They both sat down, side-by-side, eye contact never breaking. There was a different type of tension this time. It wasn’t awkward, it was the type that raised the mood and emotion within the two people to the point it started to show externally.
“I’m growing old.” Sonic simply stated, wanting to give the message to her slowly, but also fast enough so she could decide what her answer would be. Amy laughed, the tension only staying within Sonic. He couldn’t help but smile, the sight of Amy laughing brought a fluttering feeling to his heart, a feeling that only she was able to access.
“Is that all? Of course you’d be growing old, silly! It happens to everyone!” Amy chimed. She got up to get him something, before she was pulled back down gently by her waist, something that surprised Amy.
“I mean...soon enough, later on, I might die. I could die any day, and no one would be able to pass what I worked so hard to build. What we worked so hard to build. A world where everyone is safe.” He looked up to find a confused Amy.
“I...I’m afraid I don’t follow, Sonic. Are you dying?” Amy questioned him worriedly. Sonic shook his head in denial.
“No, Amy. I meant...I need someone to continue to be a hero once I’m too old to do anything.” Amy stared at him, trying to understand.
“Why don’t you ask Tails? He’ll continue being a hero!” Amy told him.
“He’s 22, Ames. He’s not that far along.” The corner of his mouth turned upwards, but quickly went back to a straight line. He sighed again. “I mean...I need a heir. Someone with my blood to continue on, fighting any villains that come to his world. What if Eggman also has a descendant, but no one knows about it? I need a child, someone with my speed to continue on.” He explained. Amy understood, but wanted to hear the favor being asked directly from his lips.
“What are you asking of me, Hedgehog?” She stood up, and put her hands on her hips. He stood up as well, stepping closer to her.
“Be the mother to my child, Ames. It’s your dream, right? Well, it’ll come true! I want you to give birth to my descendant.” Sonic took her hands in his own and his eyes pleaded her. She could never get herself to say no to those eyes. Hell, she wouldn’t say no anyways.
“Th-This isn’t a j-joke, right? You’re serious? If you’re kidding I’ll never forgive you!” Her eyes showed the same pleading look as his. He smiled, bringing her in to embrace.
“I’d never play with your heart like this, Amy. I’m serious about every single word. I want you to be the one that gives that special motherly compassion to my kid.” He whispered in her ear, seeing she was shorter than him. He felt his chest become a bit wet, and he pulled away to find that she was crying.
With a smile.~
He smiled too, leaning down to wipe her tears away with his thumbs. Gently, he tilted his head and slowly brought his lips onto her glossy pink ones. A lot was spoken in that kiss, something along the lines of:
    “I love you...”
“I love you too. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you earlier.”
“I really do care for you...”
“So do I, I want you to know that.”
“Don’t run away this time, just tell me if you’re going to run.”
“I won’t run away unexpectedly, I’ve fulfilled my boyhood fantasies.”
They broke apart, absolutely no lust featured in those deep pools of green, one pair showed happiness to no end, the other showing slight satisfaction to how happy the jade pair was.
“So, that’s a yes?” Sonic asked, one hand on her cheek, the other on the small of her back.
“It was always a yes, Sonic. I’m surprised you even had to ask.” Amy giggled. He brought her in for another kiss, and another, and many more throughout that night.
The next morning Amy had found out that she was indeed pregnant with Sonic’s child. Or children, but they didn’t know that yet.
Sonic stayed by Amy the whole time while she was pregnant, and restricted her from even thinking about battling Eggman, although she had gotten away with it many times, resulting a strict lecture from him. She ordered sound proof ear plugs, put them in and Sonic wouldn’t notice that there was anything in her ear, while she closed her eyes and listened to his muffled voice.
He dealt with her mood swings, knowing that they were normal, but couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed when she gets all irritated when he tries to touch her, but also gets clingy and depressed when he just goes out for something like buying necessary groceries. On Amy’s second month, she allowed him to sleep with her, but she seemed to get up a lot to go to the bathroom, but Amy assured Sonic that it was completely normal.
On her sixth month, her pregnant stomach really started to show. Everyone could see that it was not fat, but a perfect circular bulge. It was obvious she was pregnant. She was forced to tell everyone about what Sonic and her did. They were all happy about it, and congratulated them. She had a baby shower that only their friends knew about. They received many gifts, most of them being unisex, some being gifts for girls, some for boys.
Amy knew that with her symptoms, she would have more than one baby, and was worried about Sonic. How would he react to that?! He showered her with love, and made her feel special, because she was. As Amy’s stomach grew, she started to feel self-conscious at how she looked, and how she did basically anything in front of Sonic. Sonic noticed her behavior changed to all nervous and stuttering when he was in the room, and was afraid that she was feeling stressed out. After all, stress was bad for the baby...well, babies. He rushed back to their house, quickly looking around for her. He found her in the bedroom, looking at herself in the mirror.
When she closed her eyes, Sonic quietly walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, taking in her scent and beauty. He didn’t understand what she was so conscious about. She was gorgeous in his eyes.
Wait.
Not gorgeous.
Perfect.
This woman has fought off and has become friends with countless amount of enemies.
This woman always wears a smile on her face, even when things are going absolutely terrible for her.
This woman knows how to make everyone happy, even if it means she has to sacrifice her own.
This woman happily agreed to birth the descendant of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Just by looking at his eyes, Amy could tell he was lovestruck. Completely, and utterly lovestruck. The sweet everythings he whispered in her ear at night were enough to get her content and energetic self back.
Next came her last month. Any day now, she would give birth to Sonic the Hedgehog’s children. They weren’t just his children, but her’s too. Her water broke just as she she was cooking something for lunch, she felt something wet. She screamed Sonic’s name, who was luckily in the dining room, chowing down on a chilidog. He ran her to the hospital immediately, and stood by her side as she gave birth to three healthy baby boys. Amy apologized to Sonic over and over again, but Sonic cut her off with a kiss.
“What are you apologizing for?” He asks, as he holds his youngest in his arms, cradling him a bit.
“This was more than one baby!” She exclaimed, but before she could open her mouth, Sonic’s mouth was on her’s again.
“So? I may not be showing it, but I’m really happy that I have more than one kid. I’m a triplet too, you know.” Amy smiled. She looked the two bundles in her arms, kissing their foreheads. Sonic knew he had made the right decision. Of course, she wouldn’t let him name any of the kids “Sonic Jr.” They all looked like Sonic, although the oldest looked a little more indigo, and the middle child had a few royal purple highlights and Amy’s bangs. The youngest had Amy’s eyes, but otherwise, he looked exactly like Sonic.
They named them from oldest to youngest. Flash, Dash, and Blur.
They would carry on his legacy.

Glorious, Before the Burden - The Mourning ~ 13
Waking up after seeing Loki with Sylvie - adult Sylvie - I lay in bed and stared at my ceiling trying to understand.  What - where were they?  The morning dawned as I tried to make sense out of the senseless and I gave up.  LISTENING was how I was supposed to get my magic in line to grow and evolve, not forcing myself to make things work into a box of logic when the logic was nowhere near where I was.
I got out of bed, letting it right itself as I dressed and fixed my hair - making up a schedule for my day.  A trip to the village was in order since my cupboards were getting bare, my books were growing tiresome, and I needed to find some inspiration for what I should do next.  As I stood in the kitchen getting a glass of water, staring out at my garden - I watched as once again a group of people wandered in to trample it - only this time they appeared out of the same type of doorway that Sylvie had.
Sighing deeply, I opened my door and stood with my arms crossed.  The man with the crooked nose and white hair I’d seen Loki interacting with was among the barbarians ruining my garden.
“Do you MIND?” Stepping out onto the pathway, I raised my hand and they parted like water.  “Do keep to the path, I’d rather not have to replant the damn garden every time one of your groups stomps through to demand an audience.”
He stepped forward, the leader clearly, and offered his hand.  “I apologize, Miss -” I stared at his hand and then back at his face.  Awkward silence prevailed and he dropped the hand.  “You’re not as hospitable as I was expecting from the files.  I guess that’s understandable given your current status.”
“Pardon?”  Staring at him, he realized that he’d only made matters worse for himself.  “Who precisely are you?  All of you?”
“Right, sorry again.”  He looked as if he might wish that anyone else had been in his place.  “My name is Mobius M. Mobius, I’m an agent of the Time Variance Authority.”
“The Time Variance Authority?” I sounded as unimpressed as I felt.  “And what authority does this particular agency have, AGENT Mobius?”
“I’m glad you asked that, Miss -” Again lacking, so he rushed on.  “We’re tasked with keeping the Sacred Timeline intact and on track.”
“The Sacred Timeline, you say.”  My eyebrow couldn’t be stopped from rising.  “There are infinite timelines, Agent Mobius, which one of these infinite timelines has been deemed ‘sacred’?”  He stared at me.  “Why are you here, on my doorstep, while your fellows are tearing apart my garden?”
“Loki,” one word, one name, and yet it weighed more than the entire universe.  “Your husband, well a variant of your husband - he’s killing our people.”
“And?”  Not really my problem, given that he wasn’t MY Loki.  My Loki was locked away on Asgard and I was trapped here.  “What precisely do you want from me?”
“Information.” I laughed.  “He has to be stopped, Miss -”
“First of all, Agent Mobius, I am not a ‘miss’.”  I sighed.  “I’ve been married for a very long time to my husband, and while we are not physically together, I can assure you we are still VERY MUCH MARRIED.”  He swallowed so hard that I felt sure that his people could hear him even as they muttered amongst themselves.  “Second of all, I cannot see why you would imagine that I would give information to such a ridiculous outfit such as an agency that is so fanciful as yours.  Honestly, a Sacred Timeline?  Have you no understanding whatsoever of how anything works?”
He opened his mouth to speak, but I raised my hand and whatever he hoped to say caught in his throat.  And as I stared into his eyes I saw something terribly tragic - this person had no idea who he truly was, none at all.  Taking the hand I’d raised to stop him from uttering more nonsense, I touched his hand and saw that not only did he hope to gain my trust and cooperation in bringing this dangerous version of my husband to heel, but he also wished to keep me safe - even if he wasn’t entirely sure what I was in danger from at least not on the surface level of his current state.
Someone, a young woman with a rigid disposition and a darkness within her that was unmatched by the man before me, planned a very different way to correct the problem the Variant - that’s what they called the Loki, and others like my husband who strayed from their proper place in time - had created on their Sacred Timeline.  A plot that the man before me had disagreed with so vocally that he’d been reset, but not well enough to get the urge to bring me onboard in his quest to fix the issue in his own way.  How horrible, I thought, as I felt the confusion and betrayal he’d felt as a person he thought of as a friend had violated that trust to remove a piece of him - and how truly horrific that he didn’t know that his entire existence was built on a lie.
Removing my hand, I also released him from the silence I’d forced on him.
“Of course I understand -” he sighed, “What should I call you?”  He smiled awkwardly and I returned it with a smile of my own.  Why not, since he would lose this memory as well?
“Sigyn,” giving him my name was easy enough, but knowing that Loki - any version of him - AND Sylvie were running from people like these made my blood run cold.  “You can call me Sigyn.”
Mobius didn’t stay much longer.  He even managed to convince the troop he came with to stand outside the garden.  And he found that I was true to my word, I would not give him information on my husband - Variant or not.
Before he, and the others, left - I removed the visit from their memories and the TempPad.  Watching him disappear through the doorway I’d seen Sylvie disappear behind so many times in my childhood, I wondered what would become of him - this Mobius M. Mobius? Would he ever learn the truth about the lies that built his world and purpose?  And how would he take it when he found out that the ONE person he thought he could trust the most, was the one he shouldn’t trust at all?
My schedule was thrown off by the visit from the Time Variance Authority.  And using powers that I hadn’t used before, but somehow knew I had access to - LISTENING to my intuition, to what felt right instead of what I would normally do - had reminded me that I hadn’t broken my fast.  Hungry and a touch tired, I went back to the kitchen to pick up where I’d left off when I witnessed my visitors’ arrival.
Sitting at the table, my cell phone next to me, eating absently while I contemplated what I saw through Mobius’ ruined memories.  His companion, a superior to him - a judge named Ravonna - had told him she planned on erasing parts of Loki’s timeline, the parts she deemed most likely to set him on the path that would lead to his homicidal rampage.  He’d argued against this course, reminding her that they still had no idea where this Variant had come from, and that meant that they hadn’t a clue as to which parts of the timeline should be wiped to be effective.  The coldness in her face should have warned him, but he didn’t know her, not really.  He simply thought he did, because of the process that created him.
The part she wishes to erase was me, Sigyn, the wife.  Clearly erasing the most emotionally charged part of his timeline would work to break him - dull the blade and he’d be easier to prune.  Mobius had argued that by that logic she should erase Frigga as well, or Thor - but Ravonna shook her head.
“No,” her smile grew in an almost reptilian way.  “If you look through the files, if you WATCH it - what Loki feels for Sigyn, it goes far beyond simple affection or love, Mobius.  Remove her from the equation, take her away and he has NOTHING to search for, nothing to yearn for, nothing to reach and grasp for - he’ll beg to be pruned.”
I’d felt sick, the way she’d considered it - as if breaking him apart and ripping me away from him was a game.  As if watching him - I knew that these files weren’t simply written, that they were visual - she watched him in his cell in Asgard, watched as he saw the wraith of me visit him and how he felt tortured by it.  And I knew she ENJOYED it.  Unlike Frigga, who I felt did only what Odin asked, Ravonna wanted to see Loki in agony and begging for it to end so she could order it.
The only thing that gave me strength was the knowledge that she obviously didn’t KNOW Loki.  Removing me from a file wouldn’t convince him that I was gone or break him - that equating that with the pain he was feeling in his cell in Asgard was the mistake of a sadistic amateur.  If anything, removing me would make him MORE thirsty for a path to find out WHY I was removed and WHERE I was.  Ravonna had done nothing to make her tiny little hope bear fruit, instead she made it more likely to go in the opposite direction.
If only I knew how Sylvie fit into the situation -
I set off for the village after my breakfast.  Content that the weather was perfect for the walk, and that I could easily find everything I needed within walking distance of my home.
Books first, the small shop was owned by the second person to befriend me after Michael.  A lovely young woman named Caroline who quickly learned the types of books that I most enjoyed and would tuck a few behind the counter for me, even though she knew I’d still wander the stacks and pluck a few more to add to the pile.
“You’re up and out early this morning, Margaret,” her smile was open and warm.  “I had a feeling you’d be around today.”  Reaching under the counter, she pulled out four books and set the on the counter.  “I’ll keep them here for you while you browse.”
Shaking my head, my smile came easily as I roamed the aisles, gaze dancing across the spines of the books as I looked for anything that stood out and caught my attention.  While I shopped, Caroline and I chatted, the shop being small enough that we didn’t have to raise our voices even when I was at the furthest point from the till.  She asked about Micheal and I assured her that he was well, telling her that we’d spent the day before together.
“He dotes on you,” she was grinning as I joined her at the counter to pay.  “We’re all happy you came home to keep him company.  You keep him young.”  My smile faltered, a reminder that I’d be leaving once I learned how to rejoin Loki - leaving Michael alone again.
“He’s incredibly kind,” I agreed, paying for my books.  “And I’m glad I came home too.”
The rest of my shopping trip was much the same.  Friendly reminders of how thankful everyone was that I’d “returned” to the family fold so Michael wasn’t alone any longer.  The reminder of what I would be leaving was starting to cause me pinpricks of pain - but the piercing ache of being apart from my husband was overpowering.  I could always visit Michael, it wasn’t as if I couldn’t come back.
At the cottage, once everything was put in its place, I chose not to return to the laptop and instead went to the garden to inspect the damage caused by Mobius and his group.  A few bushes weren’t quite as bushy as they should be, several of the flower beds were smashed with boot prints, and the grass had divots that showed dirt where green should be.
Sighing heavily, I sat down on the bench and closed my eyes.  The air was cool and the sun was trying to shine through a hazy cloud cover.  A slight breeze ruffled my hair as I let the calm of my garden - damaged though it was - soothe my frayed nerves.
Perhaps it was the breeze.  Maybe it was the scent of apples that blew in from somewhere.  It could have been the hint of galbanum that tickled my nose.  Whatever it was, somehow I wasn’t in the garden anymore - instead I was on a train unlike any train I’d ever been on - and there was Loki sitting across from Sylvie.

Sonsal Celebration Year 2, Day 7
On the seventh day of the Sonsal celebration hosted by @boundforfreedomsonsal we have the prompt of peace. Something I’m sure many of us would have loved to have seen the Freedom Fighters get to enjoy when their respective series came to an end. Sadly the screw-ups of Archie Comics, Ken Penders well being Ken Penders, and a little of Sega’s own mishandling caused us to never truly see Sonic, Sally and Co. have their day of peace canonically. Luckily we fans can fix that.
PEACE:
“...It brings me great pleasure to formally announce the end of the war started by Julian Kintobar, aka Dr. Robotnik, and perpetuated by his counterpart Dr. Eggman. Any and all allies of the two Empires created by these evil men have also been dealt with, leaving no one seeking to resume their mantle. Not only has this long, and difficult conflict finally over-.” Pausing in her speech, Sally took a lungful of air, but her smile never waned, as she also purposefully dragged out the pause to reign in the audience more. “All the nations of Mobius, be they any species of Mobians, or Humans have signed a hopefully lasting peace accord to not only end any potential future conflict but bring all the peoples’ of Mobius together as they never have before.” Despite prepping herself to keep her emotions in check, Sally found her eyes moisten but she kept a straight face, save for the smile widely forming as she couldn’t hide her joy. “We don’t have to live in fear anymore, and our world is truly free from tyranny. Everyone gathered here or not, thank you for your contributions. Now… LET’S CELEBRATE WE ALL EARNED IT!!”
At Sally’s last words, the crowds gathered before the stage in front of Castle Acorn hollered and cheered. After ten-plus years of living in fear of an evil scientist and his armies; the planet Mobius was free at last. Watching her people be happy made Sally’s heart glow with a warmth she didn’t know she needed. Bowing her head she turns from the podium and walks over to where her friends waited for her; especially a certain Hedgehog with a matching wedding band on his finger just like hers. As she wiped her eyes Sonic took a few steps to meet the distance, instantly his arms were around her for a hug and their lips met for a quick, but sweet and loving kiss.
Once it broke, her dear childhood friend, lover, and husband all rolled-into-one flashed one of his well-known grins. “Way past speech Sal.” “I started to nearly cry at the end.” She giggled, rubbing her eyes some more. “You’d think after all my practice I could have nailed it better.”
A familiar hand rested on Sally’s shoulder, with a soft southern drawl reaching her ears. “Aw heck Sally-girl, so you started to mist a little. Nobody will blame ya’ I mean fer’ Pete’s sake you did just announce the end to a nearly thirteen-year war we’ve been fighting since we were kids.”
Bunnie’s husband, Antoine moving to stand beside his wife, and as always holding her hand, gave a nod with his own smile. “Oui, as my dear beloved put it, no one would be zee upset at you being over the joy with the war’s end.”
Moving over a young two-tailed fox wrapped his arms around Sally’s waist, giving a squeeze before looking up so his gaze could meet Sally’s. A smirk mirroring Sonic’s adorning his face. “I think what we’re getting at Sally is, you did great, so don’t think you messed up the speech for getting misty-eyed.”
With a loud, merry chuckle Rotor merely crossed his arms as he walked closer himself, the old gang gathering once again. “I think I’m going to have to stand by the others in saying you did great Sally. Personally, even after my stint as a council member, I’d have choked up half-way through that.”
Unable to help herself, Sally giggled, enjoying the banter as she looked at her husband and friends with a playful smirk. “What is this, pick on Sally after her speech day?”
As if on cue, Nicole materialized from a nearby emitter, and reached over to pet Sally’s head. “Maaaaybe, we all just love you and wish you still are too hard on yourself. Your speech was lovely, to the point, but also if I may add, the start of the tears I think helped the audience accept this was ‘finally’ over.”
Looking at the faces of her dearest friends, Sally internally acknowledged they were right, and simply held her arms out. “Freedom Fighters… one last group hug? As a team?”
Without a word, the band of friends all formed a group hug with Sally at the center. A multitude of emotions coursing through each of them as their bond as friends and Freedom Fighters held them together and steered the course of their lives as much as the war that forced them to grow up so fast. One by one, not an eye was dry as happy tears began to leak from everyone and their mutual holding of one another tightened but never enough to cut off oxygen.
“D-do you think now that the fighting’s over we won’t see each other much anymore?” Murmured Tails in a soft voice as the thought crossed his mind. It was one that briefly flared when they first thought they won after Robotniks’ defeat. Of course, now things were so different than it was back then. He had his parents whom he was still making up for lost time with. Rotor still had family in the Tundra waiting for him. Sonic, Sally, Bunnie, and Antoine were married and could now start their own lives. Nicole was probably gonna be busy since she now had a bio-nanite living body and could have her own life beyond the administrator of the city and the nanite colony.
Reaching over, Sonic ruffled the head-fur of the fox he deemed his little brother affectionately. “Heck to the no there li’ bro. We all might do our own things for a bit but we ain’t gonna just treat the other like strangers.” Eye twinkling he eased from the group hug to wrap his arms around Tails and give him an affectionate noggie. “Plus don’t forget you’re big brother to Manik and Sonia. That means you’ll see us plenty since Sal and I are also on tap babysitters from time to time like you are.”
This seemed to assure the fox while smiled and wiped his eyes, his expression much cheerier now. “Heh, good point, us big brothers gotta help teach the li’ sibs right?”
“That’s the spirit!”
Giggling, Bunnie smiled at the scene of brotherly love and looked over to Antoine, a crafty, yet loving gaze sent his way. “Now that we know no boogie-man is gonna pop outta th’ ground. I’m all for enacting our plans for extended second-honeymoon Sugah-Twan.”
At the mention of this idea, the coyotes’ eyes twinkled as he held up his wife’s hand and kissed her knuckles. “Oui, oui  my love, I am how do you say..? ‘All-in’ on this idea.”
The rabbit’s own eyes sparkle with love and plans, lots of future plans. “Maybe we could start planning for our own li’ brood?” When her husband’s only response was to blush but nod his head vigorously, Bunnie laughed and leaned in to kiss him. “I love you, ya’ you big sweetie!”
“Going for kids already?” Inquired Rotor with a raised eyebrow, and a smile.
“We’ve been discussing it a lot, and frankly being a Mom is something I wanna be, so why not?” Bunnie giggles, her cheeks flushed as she rubbed her belly longingly. “I got all mah parts flesh again, and we don’t gotta fight, so dreams and rest of our lives here I come!”
“Speaking of extended honeymoon’s…” Sally walks over and hugs Sonic from behind. “That sounds like a wonderful idea.”
Nodding, Sonic rested his hands over hers around his waist. “Yeah, we didn’t exactly get to have one. Just a long weekend to ourselves.” Rubbing his chin, Sonic began to ponder on where they could go. With the planet free now, sans any areas in need of rebuilding the sky was the limit.
Then a thought hit him, with a grin he urges Sally to follow him. The two make their way over to another group of friends who were like they had been, celebrating. “Yo Knux’!”
Hearing his nickname, Knuckles the Echidna looked away from the discussion he was having with Vector and Julie-Su. Spying the Hedgehog and Squirrel-munk coming his way. “What’s up Sonic?”
“Can Sal and I borrow your island for our proper honeymoon?”
“Excuse me?” His spines bristled mostly on reflex to anyone mentioning doing, well anything with his island.
Knowing how easy it was for Sonic to antagonize Knuckles without trying, Sally interjected. “What he means Knuckles, is could we visit Angel Island and just… have our honeymoon there? We’d stay out of the way, we’ve just never, been there without some crisis going on. All the different biomes and vistas just scream to be explored and enjoyed.”
“Plus given it flies over the planet the views off the edge are gorgeous.” Quipped Sonic, who now clapped his hands together and bowed his head humbly. “C’mon Knux it’s the perfect place for newlyweds to get lost and have a good time.”
Covering her mouth, Julie-Su snickered. “Oh, you bet it is.”
Picking up on this, Sally smirked widely. “Oh? Maybe you can give us some tips?”
Running with the topic, Julie kept on still smirking widely if her cheeks were now a bit pinker. “Well, not per se Knuckles and I’s make out spots but I can recommend some. Although one mutual spot I must, ‘must’ recommend is this tiny waterfall that has a small spot where an overhanging rock creates this gap big enough for two people to stand inside without being constantly pelted with water. Hmmm..” Her cheeks brightened and her body fidgeted with the memory. “Nothing like standing under the falls with your man behind you, wailing-.” Putting a hand over his ears, Vector turned away, loudly and in a very grumble-y voice chanted. “La-la-la-la I can’t hear youuuu!”
“Walkers alive Julie!” Knuckles exclaimed his muzzle beat red as he gently grasped his girlfriend by the arm. “I don’t think anyone needs to know those details!”
Both Sally and Sonic snicker, and yet also mentally filed away this idea and would get the exact location from Julie later. Refocusing, Sonic reached over to pat Knuckles on the shoulder. “So joking aside, whaddya say Knux? It’s your call but it’d be a way-past cool favor. You know we won’t disturb anything nor go where we shouldn’t.”
“Please? We’ll owe you and Julie.” Sally added, trying to sweeten the deal with the cute-eyes routine and a pouty lip.
After just staring at the two with his usual impassive expression, Knuckles let out a long sigh but then smiled. “What the heck, sure. Consider it a done favor anyway since you guys helped bail me and the island out a number of times-OW!” At a sudden pinch, he looked at Julie. “What was that for?”
“They were gonna owe us a solid and you dismissed it? Knuckles, honey, my one and only…” She cups his face, and pinches his cheeks. “You always accept being owed a favor back! Think about the possibilities!”
“Ow, ow, ow sorry!”
Laughing, Sonic waved a hand. “Consider the favor still on, and thanks a million!” He insisted, figuring he should offer if to help Knuckles out of his situation with Julie in thanks for letting them stay on Angel Island.
“You won’t even know we’re there! Promise!” Sally quipped, giving both Echidnas a hug. “Thank you so much!”
Rubbing his nose, Sonic couldn’t help but smile as he looked around at his friends and the gathered crowds all celebrating. It took a long time, and probably more sacrifices than he would have liked, but finally, they had peace.
He closed his eyes, saying a silent prayer to the fallen, those he knew and those he didn’t. He wasn’t a religious sort but the departed were owed respect. He hoped they could rest easier now, just as those still alive could now truly live their lives to the fullest.
