things hadn't been as rocky as she expected them to be. actually, the two continued to work on their relationship since the story had come out. miley wanted nothing more than to leave that in the past and there was no way she would ever hurt him like that again. she was smoothing over her outfit for the evening when she heard the man come up behind her, causing her to turn and her face to light up at the sight of the flowers in his hand. "you didn't have to get me anything." she cooed softly and pushed herself up on her toes to give him a proper kiss, showing just how thankful she was for them.

once she pulled away, one hand grabbed his and the other took the flowers in hand. "come on, i'm excited to see what you have planned." she confessed, her smile growing as she tugged him out the door. she was sure that whatever he had in mind would be perfect and she was really just looking forward to spending time with him.

it didn't take long after the two of them made it to the car for the two of them to start their romantic evening together. what he had planned was definitely more than she could have asked for, especially considering she still felt as though she had a lot to work for when it came to fixing their relationship. though, tonight momentarily made her forget about her mistake and made her realize just how lucky she was to have the man by her side.

peering up at the man after he revealed the scene he laid out for the two of them, she smiled. "it's beautiful, silas. i really don't deserve you."

Beth took a moment to study the leather-bound journal in her hands. It was nicer than any she’d ever had. In the before times, she’d always scribbled notes, random thoughts, song lyrics, the recount of her day, or dreams for the future, into cheap spiral notebooks, like ones used for schoolwork.

In the after, her entries had darkened, changed to recounts of those they’d lost, lists of the things she wanted to do before she died, and scribbled confessions of fear she didn’t dare share, not when her place within the group was the sweet, little sister.. the idyllic and innocent youngest daughter.

It had been so many years now since she’d even taken the time to put pen or pencil to paper. Too much loss to record, too many fears to pull a single one from the jumble of her nightmares, too many things she’d never do or see.

With reverence, she ran her fingertips over the worn cover before she opened the blank tome. The yellowed pages flipped easily despite their age. It was strange, but seeing the empty pages filled her with something she hadn’t felt in a long time. Hope. Yes, there was still so much darkness that she could pour into the pages, but that was no longer her first inclination.

A soft snap accompanied the close of the journal as Beth suddenly hugged her friend. Though he probably wouldn’t thank her for the impulsive gesture, she smiled and squeezed him around his midsection. “It’s beautiful Daryl, thank you.”

short jeno drabble, huwag kang matakot by eraserheads

Sa totoo lang, hindi ikaw yung tipo ng tao na pabago bago ang isip. 

Nasanay ka na kada gigising ka ay itlog at longganisa ang almusal mo lagi. Nasanay ka na kada lalabas ka ng bahay mo ay nakaabang na ang kaibigan mo na si Jeno inaantay ka para sabay kayong pumasok sa school. Kada recess ay somai rice at iced tea ang kinakain mo at tuwing uwian naman ay pupunta kayo ni jeno sa mga tusok tusok sa gilid ng school niyo para bumili ng kwek kwek at kikiam. 

Kung meron mang pagbabago, inaasahan mo na kaagad ito at alam mo na kaagad ang gagawin mo. kapag naubusan kayo ng paborito niyong somai rice ay porkchop ang kinakain niyo. Kapag naubusan kayo ng paborito niyong buko juice ni aling nena ay zesto nalang ang binibili niyo. Sa lahat ng pagbabago sa buhay mo ay andyan si Jeno para sabihin sayo na okay lang ang lahat. 

Nung namali ng pag punch ng order yung cashier sa mcdo na imbis oreo flurry ay matcha ang binigay sayo, willing na nakipag palit sayo si Jeno. Nung nag enchanted kingdom kayo at sumakay sa mga rides sinigurado ni Jeno na hindi mo kailangan matakot dito at kinumbinsi ka na masaya sumakay at mabasa sa rio grande. 

“Normal lang matakot” sabi ni Jeno sayo nang matapos mo sabihin sakanya ang mga inaalala mo ngayong malapit na ang pasukan. Halos gabi gabi kang nag aalala kung ano ang gagawin mo at kung gano ka natatakot dahil sa unang beses sa buong buhay mo ay malalayo ka sa mga bagay na nakasanayan mo. 

“Jen, kilala mo naman ako. hindi ko alam ieexpect ko pag andoon na ako”

“Okay lang yun, kasama mo naman ako. Huwag ka na matakot” ani ni jeno at binigyan ka ng ngiti.
