Really enjoy your work! Do you have any thoughts on sex/gender in pony society? Since in canon there are very few male characters there's some fan theories they have a different sex ratio. Or in the more speculative biology space they could just not have the same level/kind of dimorphism as humans.

Sex ratio is an interesting phenomenon! Deer can be anywhere from equal to twice as many females. Female horses throw more fillies as they get older. And Pegasus are made up.

Since my "ponies" are 3 different species, they all have different biological histories, including sex ratios. But at this point in time, the ratios are about 1:1, equally "Mares" and "Stallions" Stallions tend to be more physically powerful than mares, but not to the point of looking particularly different.

POLITICS, however, is still very much affected by gender.

In Skyscraper Gods Equestria, society is currently equalizing to be more open and flexible after centuries of matriarchal rule. Mares are seen as more fit to rule because they are closer to the feminine goddesses, and Equestria is a theocracy with rulers (often female) appointed by god. Smaller governments and towns who elect and appoint officials tend towards mares as well, with stallion mayors still being the first of their kind in some places.

Though it hasn't happened yet (that society knows of) there is nothing that prevents a stallion from being eligible for godhood. Rather, it is something that goddesses have only chosen to bestow on mares so far. This is a self-perpetuating system, as less stallions being in leadership positions means less candidates for the gods to pick from, and less stallion leaders make society think they are less capable than mares.

Equestria is the favored land of the Gods that control the sun, moon, love, and friendship, but they are not the only gods in the world (though nationalism will try to convince you otherwise)

Outside Equestria, species other than ponies dominate. They have their own systems of governments (theocracy, monarchy, oligarchy, democracy, plutocracy, etc) that are not based on Equestrian Goddess' will or genders. Many populations of griffons are male-dominated, rooted in sexual dimorphism.

The Crystal Empire vanished before the rise of the Goddesses Sun and Moon. When they came back with thousand-year-old citizens, they were immediately annexed by modern-day Equestria, which installed their own ruler (The Princess of Love) into the power vacuum left by King Sombra. She serves Equestrian interests, but will one day be convinced to step down by the Princess of Friendship in favor crystal pony officials elected by their own people.

TLDR: male and female ponies occur at the same rate, but females are more prominent due Equestria's matriarchy (which itself is due to the known gods being feminine)

I believe that Burnferno is Spike's biological father. My reasons:

It's a common thing in this show for "fictional" characters to end up being real (Daring Do characters, the Pony of Shadows, Grogar, Gusty the Great).

Burnferno and Spike share physical similarities (which a kid points out), and are both known for "snappy comebacks".

Spike used to have fantasies of being a hero, so it would be thematically fitting for his father to be the hero from the book he grew up reading.

Idk if this was intentional or not (probably not, since that would be giving those season 8 writers WAY too much credit) but in Father Knows Beast Spike is once again seen shown reading the book Burnferno: Warrior Within, which hasn't been shown since it first appeared in Flurry of Emotions.

I have opinions about the mlp infection au

flutter shy would not be infected. Discord would pull them into another dimension or something and she’d hate it but she’d never be infected

twilight wouldn’t be infected because she has the most access to magic and time to reverse things.

pinkie pie I think is just straight up immune because power of laughter and strength of will.

applejack would be infected because she is very much a survivalist and because she’d protect applebloom at all costs. Same with Rarity and Rainbow Dash.

So who is infected first?

I propose a cross between canon and fanon: Sunset Shimmer.

Hear me out, we haven’t seen the human world version of sunset shimmer, only the one that came from Equestria and took over the school, blah blah blah. Soooo…it could be possible that Human!Sunset Shimmer took that self study program that Human!Twilight wanted to do, and went through the portal. Because this Sunset wouldn’t know about the danger of the evergreen forest, she’d try to document everything in there because it’s much easier than talking to the ponies in town.

And then she finds something that sort of unsettled her. An infected parasite of sorts in the host reaching up towards her…

The forest keeps her contained for now, but who knows when some unsuspecting pony might stumble upon their own patient zero?

✨Opaline Theory✨

Here's my theory/prediction of who is Opaline

( 1/5 ) I believe she used to be a student of Twilight because Opaline has no cutiemark and doesn't know what to do in life. She dreams of becoming the next Princess of Equestria like Twilight. Twilight accepts her after hearing her goals and helps her to get a cutiemark. Another reason why she chose as her personal student because Twilight noticed Opaline's magic is very unique compared to the other students she had.

( 2/5 )Things were going very well for Opaline, she learned a lot and made some friends along the way. She became one of the top 50 students of the School of Friendships but she never got a cutiemark which was weird because after a big achievement like that. This upset her but she’ll never get up that easily. Her dream became more of an obsession and has an idea of ruling, is by social-like class, meaning a creature with weak magic goes to the low class while the powerful creature goes to the top. Twilight was concerned for Opaline, not her dream of ruling Equestira, her not having a cutiemark yet. Twilight talks with Opaline that she doesn’t need to reach for the stars to achieve everything and how it is best for her to be a teacher, counselor or an advisor. Opaline did not take this well and misunderstand that Twilight is saying that Opaline is not ready be a princess and never will, which shattered her 

( 3/5 ) Opaline self esteem went low and so pissed what Twilight said “Advisor? me!? Why doesn't Twilight see that I have great potential as a princess, she even says so herself!?” Opaline’s friends try to help her out but said they agree what Twilight and  Opaline lashes out on a her who is an earth pony and Opaline said that she a unicorn is better any creature which kinda lend to the discrimination of species. This eventually led to Opaline being expelled. Ending up living in the Everfree forest and plotting revenge. After the incident, things started to go downhill for Twilight and her school. Hate between species and less students come to classes. Luster Dawn became Twilight student after Opaline left, Twilight knew that Opaline will return, so she made the Unity Crystals just in case if anything happens to the magic between creatures or from Opaline. Luster Dawn became the Princess of Guidance and kinda gives a boost to her kingdom, but not for long...

( 4/5 ) Opaline that using other creatures magic mostly dragon fire makes her power and encourage the discrimination of Equestria for her plan to overthrow Twilight and her achievements

( 5/5 )During Luster’s carnation of becoming the next princess of Equestria, Opaline returns and steals Luster wings by using Tirek spell and dragon fire which gives Opaline a cutie mark and being the most powerful alicorn. A great battle happens, Twilight using all of her strength and magic to stop Opaline. Twilight multiple spells she made an invisible-bubble spell, taking all magic into the Unity Crystals  and a continental drift which is why the gen 5 map looks completely different from generation 4. Which results in Twilight losing half her powers which she looks different from the message from Make your Mark and losing Equestria hoping if she did the right choice protecting Equestria from Opaline

Guys, does this mean what I think it means?

Did Chrysalis cause the divide?

What if Chrysalis came back? Broke out of the stone? There’s a chance she was the unicorn who cause the segregation between pony races. Maybe they released Tirek, Cozyglow, and Chrysalis to lock them away or attempt to reform them, she Chrysalis was having none of it.

It’s shown time and time again that she’s the big bad villain. Chrysalis has caused more despair than any of the other villains in the show. She could still be alive in the G5 universe. Made herself immortal. Unless she already was immortal. She could’ve gotten revenge on all the ponies and even all the creatures. Made everyone hide away.

Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the alicorn at the end of MLP Make Your Mark. She can transform into a pony, after all.

Y'know, i was thinking.

With knowledge from the newer show, i have an idea about the whole bit in the MLP Gen4 Season 6 premiere where the royal sisters say that Flurryheart's birth as an alicorn was "beyond even our understanding" and something that "Equestria has never seen"

So they grew up in Skyros, according to the new canon, where evryone was likely an alicorn. (Thereby making the borth of an alicorn something EQUESTRIA had never seen)

This means there were likely only alicorn/alicorn parings for parents.

Flurryheart was born to a UNICORN and and alicorn.

So the sisters had just found out that that was possible, for a non-alicorn to be a blood parent to a born-alicorn. They didn't know Flurryheart was possible because it had never happened that a non-alicorn and an alicorn had had a child.

That's why it was, according to luna, "beyond even our understanding." It had never happened before, with a non-alicorn and an alicorn. It had only happened with double-alicorn parings.

Why tf is magic in G5 so powerful?

So I don't know if anyone's proposed this theory yet but I have a good way to rationalize why the magic in G5 is so damn annoying rn

One of my biggest logical issues with G5 is that the ponies got their magic back and they instantly know how to use it - the pegasi can immediately fly with no struggle, two unicorns can levitate like a whole trolley with absolutely no sweat and earth ponies just accidentally step in a specific way and giant plants grow out in seconds

That's so incredibly stupid

What mostly makes this stupid and annoying tho is that it's breaking the rules of G4 that established that things like flying and magic were things you had to train and study to do well, yes technically anyone with the right body parts could do the more complex stuff, just like anyone with legs can technically run marathons but that doesn't mean they will or that they'll be good at it

So for the G5 ponies to just get the skills for free feels incredibly cheap and lazy since there's a lot of wasted potential in exploring how they could even re-learn all this since a lot of knowledge about magic and flying was probably lost to time so they would either have to figure it out by trial and error or try to find the lost knowledge in like a ruin of the Canterlot library or Twilight's castle

HOWEVER

What G4 also established with the Cake twins was the fact that pony babies can instantly use advanced magic in "surges that come and go" and fly with ease which vanishes as they get older

To me that sounds a lot like what we're seeing in G5, magical surges that come and go, often unintentionally, as if - since all of these ponies never had magic before - the magic was treating them like newborn babies

Because technically they are newborn magical creatures, it's their first time ever having magic even tho most of them are adults

So my guess would be, if they want to do G4 justice, that the magic will lose its intensity over time and THEN they will have to do the struggle to learn it part

At least I really hope that that's the case cause honestly that's like the best way they could solve this without either ignoring G4 world building or straight up taking back the movie finale and the entirety of tyt and mym so far

Opaline’s Pony Type✨🔮

Imagine if Opaline is a Crystal Pony. Def feels like a Crystal pony name. Not to mention her hair and wings have a shine to them, not to mention her elegant style does fit with the Crystal Pony’s styles as well👩‍🦰

With that in mind if she is a Crystal pony, I’m assuming her lack of dazzling crystal shine is due to her extreme obsession for magic, pretty much draining herself psychologically and physically. The Crystal ponies lacked their luster due to the trauma from Sombra’s rule. Not to mention she lacks a cutie mark as well, could also hamper her more Crystal traits. All the people in Starlight’s town including when the mane 6 lost their marks, it took their color/vibrance.

I think eqg Luna and Celestia have a much healthier and closer relationship than fim Luna and Celestia. To me, fim Celestia is a lot worse than eqg. I have a theory that after Luna's "redemption" they never actually talked about what happened. Celestia insists that everything is fine and Luna is too scared of conflict. Meanwhile eqg sisters did. It took a lot of talking and therapy for them to get there, but they're now extremely close. Fim sisters continue to avoid problems until everything goes downhill again.

bom, eu tinha assistido o filme de mlp da g5 a um tempo atrás, e tinha uma dúvida que esteve guardada a minha mente, e essa dúvida seria do porque dos pegasus do filme mlp g5 não voam sendo que tem outras coisas podem fazer eles voarem não sendo a magia tipo as penas e um corpo aerodinâmico, mas analisei algumas coisas e fiz uma pequena teoria de que os pegasus de mlp da g5 e da g4 não foram feitos biologicamente e fisicamente pra o voo, e os pegasus são pôneis só que com asas ( obviamente ), o que faz eles terem asas um pouco pequenas e talvez um pouco curtas como as asas das galinhas, e um brinde disso, possivelmente não tem ossos ocos como das aves e tendo um tendo algum tipo de estruturas que impedissem de voar, e se formos tentar analisar e imaginar de como os pegasus poderiam ser feitos pra voo de forma eficiente e científica, talvez eles não seriam exatamente equinos, e talvez seriam algum tipo de ave ou algum tipo de réptil que se parecesse com um cavalo, e sendo muito maiores e as patas dianteiras seriam as asas dos pegasus, assim os movimentos deles se assemelhando às dos pterossauros, então talvez seja por isso que os pegasus dependem muito da magia e tentado várias invenções de voar mas que não tenham funcionado muito bem, ou talvez alguma outra sociedade de pegasus tenha dado certo, mas com a chegada da magia teriam parado de usar e depender mais da magia

( sei que mlp não precisa de sentido científico em alguma coisa, e não sei se isso poderia ser chamado de teoria, e talvez tudo que falei aqui não faz nenhum sentido )

Well, I had watched the mlp g5 movie a while ago, and I had a question that was on my mind, and that question would be why the pegasus in the mlp g5 movie don't fly since there are other things that can make them fly not being magic like feathers and an aerodynamic body, but I analyzed some things and made a small theory that the g5 and g4 mlp pegasus were not made biologically and physically for flight, and the pegasus are ponies but with wings (obviously), which means they have wings that are a little small and maybe a little short like chicken wings, and a bonus to that, they possibly don't have hollow bones like birds and have some kind of structures that prevent them from flying , and if we try to analyze and imagine how pegasus could be made to fly efficiently and scientific, maybe they wouldn't be exactly equines, and maybe they would be some type of bird or some type of reptile that looked like a horse, and being much larger and the front legs would be the wings of pegasus, thus their movements resemble those of pterosaurs, so perhaps this is why pegasus rely heavily on magic and have tried several inventions of flying but that have not worked very well, or perhaps some other pegasus society has given right, but with the arrival of magic they would have stopped using and depending more on magic

( I know that mlp doesn't need scientific sense in something, and I don't know if this could be called a theory, and maybe everything I said here doesn't make any sense )

There’s some very hard to decipher text in the new MLP G5 Winter Wishday Special! My partner & I deciphered as much as we could through image sharpening & some guesswork. Also, Zipp POG!

Page 1: We weren’t sure about “woven” (my logic is woven into society’s beliefs, but I’m not 100% sure) and if that seemingly 4 letter word in the last line was “hurt” or “last.”

Page 2: This one is as accurate as can be, unless anyone else has translations they’d like to add onto this.

Page 3: This one is the HARDEST to decipher due to poor page texture quality. All we can make out is “a very?” After that, there seems to be a word that starts with a “p” or “g” and has a tall letter in the middle of the word. Accompanying that is a short word of 4 letters? The last line we see seems to start with “Equestria?” After that I think it says “many moons.”

Credit me if you use this for a youtube mlp theory video or something! 👀

Okay so, Celestia and Luna were young fillies once and then later ascended to their more god-like status with their flowy manes. We see that Twilight also achieved her own god-like form, compete with a flowy mane and larger build. So we can conclude that Alicorns have a mortal and a god form. Since Twight appeared normal in the message crystals, it's possible she lost her god form when she sealed all the magic.

I think it's also safe to assume that Celestia and Luna also returned to a more mortal like form once they retired from being rulers.

But then we have Opaline. We never heard about her in G4 and she is the same size as a mortal. It's possible she never obtained a god-like form, and is jealous of Celestia, Luna, and Twilight for achieving it.

While all good alicorns are dead or retired, I wonder, do alicorns die when they decided they want to? When they are ready to pass on? Did Celestia and Luna retire to the celestial bodies they control so they can still move after the magic has been sealed away?

Or art they still experiencing life as mortals? Did they loose their memories and now exist as regular ponies? I wonder this because of this pony:

She has a white base, teal mane, pink tipped wings, pink hooves, and teal eyes. Not the same color placement as Celestia, but suspiously close color scheme!! It's possible this is the result of the same Posey/Fluttershy thing where they reuse colors of older ponies.

Especially since we have the Princesses as kids in G5

They both have black eyebrows, mini-Tia has a different mane style and solid white wings. But the eyes are the same...

So maybe this isn't literally Celesetia but maybe her reincarnated form?? Or like I said, it's just case of the crew re-using colors. But I thinks it's more fun to believe there's some connection to Celestia!

Because seriously, she was front and center of several scenes and has the same color scheme as a prominent figure from the previous show! This pony has to be important!!!!

Rewriting the last 2 seasons of mlp:fim, cause I'm bored and I need to get my ideas out.

I warn you: This is a collection of cluttered ideas, so don't expect it to be perfect o anything XD

Story of season 8 rewrite:

Instead of there being a School of Friendship, have the Student 6 be assigned to study under one of the Mane 6. 

Twilight Sparkle does what she did in the show and asks each of the different leaders to send a student to study, learn, and live with them. The student paired with each Mane Six member is:

Strength (Rockhoof) – Honesty (Applejack) – Yona (?)

Healing (Mage Meadowbrook) – Kindness (Fluttershy) – Sandbar (?)

Hope (Somnambula) – Laughter (Pinkie Pie) – Silverstream (Enthusiasm)

Beauty (Mistmane) – Generosity (Rarity) – Ocellus (Change)

Bravery (Flash Magnus) – Loyalty (Rainbow Dash) – Smolder (?)

Sorcery (Star Swirl the Bearded) – Magic (Twilight Sparkle) – Gallus (?)

I believe that this makes more sense than a school.

Give the two villains of the season (Cozy Glow and Chancellor Neighsay) actual reasons/backstories for the way they act and what they do.

Examples:

Give Cozy Glow a more believable motivation. In the original finale, Cozy's motivation for stealing the magic of Equestria is... I forgot honesty, lol.

A more believable motivation could be that Cozy feels neglected and overlooked by the other ponies, specifically unicorns, and she wants to screw with everyone by creating a level playing field (disregarding how it'll fuck up everyone in Equestria).

For the Chancellor, let's say that he recalls all of the times throughout the series where ponykind had been attacked or come into conflict with other creatures, etc. That's a more believable motivation.

Season 8 finale: 

I actually don't know how to write this in a way for it to make more sense, I just know that these specific plot points need to happen in the episode:

The Mane Six are put out of commission in order for the Student Six to be revealed to have a connection to the Elements of Harmony 

Cozy is revealed to have a connection to Tirek in some way. And we actually learn her backstory.

The Mane Six talk to Tirek and learn more about his past, and he mentions Scorpan of course

Chancellor Neighsay gets a realistic redemption, but after learning his backstory of course

Cozy Glow is sent away, not to Tartarus, but to stay with Shining Armor and Princess Cadence in the Crystal Empire to learn how to be good and get whatever the f*ck help she needs XD 

At the end of the story the Mane Six are praising their individual students and are happy that they have the same connection to the Elements and each other that they do. 

Story of season 9:

In order to understand what happens next, I highly recommend that you watch these videos by DrWolf001 on YouTube. These videos were the ones that inspired all of this:

ok, here we go!

Premiere:

Everything that happened in the season 9 premiere happens, the only difference being that Grogar is the REAL Grogar, not Discord in disguise.

Oh, and… a very special guest shows up at the school. 

Everyone in the room, the Mane Six, Spike, the Pillars, Celestia and Luna, the Student Six, everyone else is in utter shock at who it is: 

Scorpan, Tirek's younger brother, carrying a staff made from the Tree of Harmony! 

Following episodes:

Scorpan has made his reappearance to the characters. The Pillars and the Royal Sisters are ecstatic to see their old friend, especially Starswirl. Scorpan asks Celestia if the dragon egg he gave her hatched yet, and everyone is shocked. Scorpan meets Spike, and explains himself: 

When Starswirl and Scorpan first became friends, Scorpan was carrying Spike's egg with him. He explains that he found it by itself, and wanted to find it a home. He asked Starswirl to take care of it, but he refused, since he had more important things to do. Starswirl instead gave it to Celestia and Luna to use as a test, similar to Twilight Sparkle's test in the School for Gifted Unicorns. After the Pillars sacrificed themselves to stop the Pony of Shadows, Scorpan went back to his homeland. His brother was in Tartarus, and his friends were gone, so he had no reason to stay. 

Many years have passed, and Celestia still couldn't open the egg. She didn't know why, since she was a powerful alicorn. So when she built her school, she created the egg as the final test. (Even if a Unicorn couldn't open the egg, they wouldn't be judged on that alone.)

Scorpan explains what inspired him to come back to Equestria: His magical staff, which was made out of a branch from the Tree of Harmony, alerted him to the fact that more creatures were now connected to the Tree, so he came there to see. Scorpan meets them all, but is confused about something: There are only six elements for the Mane Six and the Student Six. 

Scorpan demands to see the Tree of Harmony, and storms off with the others following him.

Scorpan sees that the Tree is destroyed, but he is still trying to find something. The others are confused, but Scorpan says that it's "nothing". They leave, except for Spike.

Spike asks Scorpan where he found his egg, and Scorpan says he "doesn't remember". Spike is disappointed of course, but eventually says that he's accepted it. Scorpan starts asking Spike about his life with the ponies and all that jazz, and after hearing Spike talk, he realizes that Spike is exactly like him: 

He's the only non-pony member of his group of friends, he has a closer relationship with the main element (Twilight Sparkle) similar to how Scorpan had a closer relationship with the main element in his day (Starswirl), and even though he feels out of place sometimes, he's accepted his life and his duties to help his friends. Scorpan tells Spike that he believes he's the 7th Element. 

Tolerance (Scorpan) – Acceptance (Spike) – (?) (?)

Who is under Spike? That remains to be seen... meaning idk

Spike tells him that it's impossible, as when the ponies found the Elements, they only found 6. Scorpan tells him that only those that are connected to the Elements can find them. Scorpan and Spike search the Castle of the Two Sisters, but can't find the missing element anywhere. Scorpan asks Spike to try to remember if he's ever taken it or even seen it, and Spike remembers:

In the episode Secret of My Excess, when Spike was going through his greed-induced puberty, he was taking random things and hoarding them in the library. One was an orb that he found in the Castle of the Two Sisters. 

But after Spike had turned back to normal, he had returned all of the items he took. Spike didn't know what the orb was, so he just kept it in the basement. 

And then… the library was destroyed by Tirek. So the entrance to the basement was lost underground. So Scorpan and Spike start digging, or they find a way to teleport down there, idk

They find the orb in the basement, and Spike tries to get it to transform into a jewel. Scorpan says that it can only transform in the presence of the other Elements.

Would Chrysalis still have taken power if the Rainboom didn’t happen?

I rewatched the season six finale with a friend the other day, just after having watched A Canterlot Wedding, and yeah the gears in me head started turning.

In part two, while walking towards the safe haven, Twilight and Zecora have a conversation about what led to their current circumstance. During it Twilight says, and I quote

“Chrysalis and her army tried to take over Canterlot, but my friends and I stopped her!” -Twilight Sparkle, The Cutie Re-Mark part 2

This is of course complete bullshit, even to the most casual of watchers. The people who stopped Chrysalis were actually her big brother and her babysitter. Guess that’s a little more embarrassing.

But would The Polycule not being there really have changed anything?

Because like, Twilights friends did nothing to contribute to that episode. They were just obstacles honestly. They had a cool fight scene, but like it lead to nothing as they were immediately captured.

One could argue that maybe Cadance and Shining Armor wouldn’t have gotten together if it wasn’t for Twilight, but I actually don’t know how they got together. I just always assumed it was through his position as a Royal guard, a role he would have even if his lil sis was a princess apprentice or not.

Another argument is that Twilight wasn’t capable of magic in the other universe, since she never had her magic boost. One would be wrong thinking that, as even before the boost she was seen using simple spells.

But even if Twilight hadn’t been able to use magic, I still don’t think it would have mattered.

She preforms two spells that matter in the entire episode. Lifting the rocks in This Day Aria, and zapping Cadance free from her slime restraints right after the reprise. Cadance could have easily performed these fucking spells. Like, why didn’t she? Queen your legs are stuck in goo and you can just zap in away why are you just standing there?

The third and most compelling arguments, is that Twilight wouldn’t have been suspicious about Cadance at all. She hadn’t known her during her childhood and they hadn’t had their little handshake thingy.

But I debunk that as well, as throughout the entirety of those two episodes we’re shown that Twilight is extremely possessive of her brother, to an unhealthy degree even. In a world where she hadn’t gone to Celestia’s school and then left for Ponyville, she would probably be even more clingy to him. Anyone would be suspicious to her. And if she’d been around through out the entirety of Cadance and Shining’s developing relationship, then she probably would have noticed the shift.

I also fully believe that even if Twilight had been absent, Cadance still would have found her way to the surface and stopped Chrysalis.

So yeah. Changeling world? I call bs
