THE PARENTS REDESIGN

I didn’t change them too much lol. A little bit ago I started to quickly draw possible redesigns for some characters (all of them will be posted eventually!) and these two had designs that I liked. They are more prone to change then what I have for Marinette and Adrien though. 

As usual, I have no idea what I’m doing with outfits and Marinette in this case was the only one with a reference. But I do know that Sabine won’t be wearing what she usually wears as often. I’ve seen a few posts talking about how that wouldn’t be what she’d wear normally everyday, and it included a few other characters and their designs as well.

I do think these color palettes are going to stay however. I changed Marinette’s hair color to something lighter and will allow me to make shading and hair details more noticeable.

All the Missing Pieces - Ch 26

PREVIEW:

‘Adrien! Hugo!’ Sabine cried when the customers had cleared. She hurried around the counter to them and started smothering Hugo in kisses. He giggled and swatted at her like he was being tickled.

‘Always good to see you,’ Tom said, coming over and drawing Adrien into a fierce embrace that nearly suffocated him. But it was nice. Nice enough to make his eyes water, in fact – and Tom noticed. ‘Everything okay, son?’

Son.

Adrien wiped his eyes. ‘Of course. Why wouldn’t it be?’

His in-laws exchange a look. Then Sabine said, ‘Adrien, why don’t you go upstairs for a bit with Tom, and I’ll look after Hugo down here.’

‘A-are you sure?’

‘I’m sure! The customers will love him! Don’t you worry. Go. Tom will make you some tea.’

This was a blessing from the gods that Adrien didn’t dare question, so he followed Tom out of the bakery and up the stairs to the kitchen, where he sat at the table while Tom made him a hot drink.

‘You can tell me the truth,’ Tom said. ‘What’s going on?’

To Adrien’s mortification, tears were streaming down his cheeks. Each time he wiped the away, more fell. ‘I…I don’t even know. I’m just…I’m….’

‘Lonely?’

‘…yeah.’

Tom sat across from him at the table and passed him his drink.

Adrien took it, letting the warmth of the cup soothe him. ‘At home all day with a toddler, there’s…no one to share my mind with. That…that sounds awful, doesn’t it?’

‘Not at all. Sabine felt that way with Marinette.’

‘…she did?’

Tom nodded. ‘It’s only natural. Humans were never made to be solitary. We need each other to survive. But we convince ourselves that’s a weakness, and we try to do it all on our own. We don’t reach out for help when we should.’

‘You…you think I need help?’

‘Adrien. Anyone can see you need help.’

Getting Away From It All

I’ve added a chapter to this crazy thing, which initially began as a one-shot called ‘The Swinger’, inspired by The Adrien and Marinette Show by @raspberrycatapult. Now it’s a whole series, it seems. This time, best friends Gabriel and Tom do laser tag. What could possibly go wrong?

PREVIEW:

With some satisfaction, Gabriel eased back into the shadows, the unseen tagger, just as he was the unseen villain of Little Paris. No one ever saw him coming. No one suspected him. No one….

‘That’s not true,’ Tom’s disembodied voice came from the darkness of the corridors.

Gabriel jumped as his friend took a step forward, letting the black lights catch his white uniform. Where the hell had the man even come from? One minute he was gone, the next he was stepping out of the darkness like he’d just portalled or something. And it wasn’t like he was inconspicuous….

‘Tom. How did you….’

‘You were talking out loud again – talking crap, by the way. Everyone knows you’re Hawk Moth, old friend. It’s in the script.’

Gabriel straightened and smoothed out his ghastly boiler suit. ‘I like to imagine no one knows.’ Ugh, that sounded so petulant. And what was this thing his mouth was doing? Was it a…a pout? God, stop pouting, stupid mouth! Stop it!

‘I suppose our kids don’t know,’ Tom carried on as if Gabriel’s lips hadn’t just taken on a life of their own. ‘Speaking of – you take way too much glee in stalking children, Gabi. If we weren’t such close friends, I’d be waggling my eyebrows at you right now.’

‘I do not stalk children.’

Tom stared at him. ‘We’re up against a group of ten-year-olds.’

‘I’m certain they’re older than that.’

‘It’s a birthday party. For a ten-year-old.’

‘…which ten-year-old?’

‘The one who just called you a motherfucker.’

Okay, so, I definitely did swoon over ladynoir the entirety of the movie because WOW. YEEEEEEEEEESSS!!! SING FOR YOUR GIRL, CHATON.

But also, I CANNOT get out of my head how FREAKIN ADORABLE Tom and Marinette's interactions were! Daddy's little giiiiiiiiiiirrl! ;-;

The movie was wonderful, I enjoyed it. <3 The only thing I didn't like was Plagg's introduction(fart jokesssss... whyyyyyyyyy... and it just KEPT. GOING.), and obviously some parts had fast pacing because this was so much to condence(Mostly Gabriel's parts, so I didn't care as much), but the moments that it focused on were be-a-u-ti-ful! It's definitely a fun time for miraculous fans.

Now pardonne moi while I go watch it again en Français!
