Jiu
Loves it, will coo at you and pinch your cheeks saying you look so comfy and cute in them.
Will let you borrow as many as you want.
"aww look at my little girl, so cute in my boxers yeah?"
Sua
Will never get why you keep stealing her boxers but secretly thinks it's hot. When she sees you in them would go up behind you and give you a nice smack and playfully accuse you of trying to turn her on.
"yah are you trying to get me hard babe? Your that desperate for my cock hmm?"
Siyeon
Shy shy baby~ she likes it when you wear anything of hers but when she sees you in her boxers she gets all giddy and shy. Would also purposely leave them unfolded in the laundry basket giving you a chance to take them.
"w-wow they look great on you- no no I meant you look great in them?"
Handong
This is just gonna be a huge ass ego booster for Dongie. Is gonna brag about it to the other members. Is a little curious on why do you like wearing her boxers tho.
"yeah I know my girl always steals my boxer, she always needs me you know."
Yoohyeon
Yooh would be mostly likely be turned on the first time she saw you in her boxers. Thinks you look hot. Wants to pull you on her lap and let you grind on her, as you wet the the pair of boxers. Then she would punish you for ruining them?
"y/n your such a bad girl, look at how you ruined my boxers honey~"
Dami
There's 2 sides to Yubin, like Sua is confused. Like why would you wear her boxers? After you had explained how comfortable they are she would admit how hot your ass looked. I could see her getting the both of you a matching pair. Ouh and Miss Lee might or might not have gotten a few pics of your ass in her boxers, a little something when she's away for.
"ahh so their comfortable huh? I see... Well if I'm being honest, they actually look good on you baby~ want matching one's?"
Gahyeon
Gah basically doesn't care about it. You guys always share everything so it wasn't a big deal for her. Will playfully comment on you when you walk around the house in them.
"Aye pretty lady, something looks thight! Hahahah~"

There's been a shift in the dorm recently and Bora wakes up feeling much lighter than usual. When she turns to her right, she hums softly when she sees a mop of black and brown right next to her, explaining the additional weight on her side before she gingerly brushes Yoohyeon's hair from her face, getting a good look at her peaceful expression.
Grinning, she stays there for a few minutes before deciding that it was best to get up and start the day.
She leaves the giant puppy in bed, not without making sure she's tucked in with a pillow to hold, and then heads for the kitchen after washing her face. Immediately, she spots Dong already awake with Siyeon clinging to her from the side.
"You take good care of me all the time when I should be the one taking care of you." She hears the vocalist whining before the Chinese woman's light laughter fills the room. "You always take such good care of me though. I just want to return the favor." She states with a gentle kiss that quickly wipes away the pout on Siyeon's lips, beaming as she nuzzles against the latter's neck.
Bora decides to cut in. "Hey, being a little greedy in the morning are we?" She giggles when Siyeon flinches in surprise, the opposite of Dong as the latter keeps her eyes on the food she was making. "Unnie, I didn't notice you there!"
Detaching herself from Dong, Siyeon is quick to Bora's side and then engulfing her into a warm embrace, one the dancer happily accepts along with the kiss to her cheek.
"Well, you were too busy with Dongdong so I'm not surprised." She quips playfully, pinching the younger woman's cheek in an affectionate manner. "Where are the others?" She asks and Dong finally turns the stove off before grabbing a pair of mittens. "Jiu unnie is in the shower. Dami and Gahyeon went out for a while for a morning walk, since I'm assuming Yoohyeon is still asleep."
It was supposedly Yoohyeon and Gahyeon, however since the former was still sound asleep in Bora's bed, Yubin volunteered to join the maknae instead, stating it would be a good time for them to hang out together since promotions ended.
The performance in Germany wasn't too far away, so everyone wanted to spend their short break well to rest.
"And Y/n?"
"Over here." Looking over her shoulder, Bora spots Minji, fresh out of the shower with her hair sticking to her face, her towel wrapped around her body while she was gently patting your head as you laid on the couch. The sight makes Dong snort a little in amusement while Siyeon coos. "She fell asleep again?"
"Looks like it." Minji giggles, leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead. "I'll go get dressed so I can help you." The leader soon beams before Bora pulls away, allowing Siyeon to return to Dong's side while she walks over to where you were.
You looked incredibly soft, curled up on the couch with the blanket you usually left on there draped over you. Bora couldn't help herself before a kiss met the tip of your nose and soon trailed to your cheek. Her kisses began to explore your entire face before she felt you shift, the ticklish feeling prompting you awake just as a peck met your lips.
"Are you awake yet?" She asks in between pecks and you groan and whine before attempting to turn and hide, but the dancer holds the blanket still before a big smooch landed on your cheek, making you whine more. "Unnie, it's too early." You protest and she giggles before joining you on the couch, arms wrapping around your waist before nuzzling your neck.
The way you relax in her arms warns her that it wouldn't take long before you succumb to sleep again, so she pulls you closer with another kiss to your head. "Come on, it's been so long. I'm starting to miss your pretty eyes."
"It's been approximately six and a half hours." Dong chimes in as she and Siyeon take their seats and the dancer huffs. "That's six and a half hours too long!" She retorts before finally beginning to shake you. "Y/n, come on!"
You refuse to budge even though you're surely awake at this point. There was no way you would get any more sleep with Bora's antics, but that didn't mean you were going to willingly get up either.
Soft footsteps pad into the room and Siyeon smiles when she sees a sleepy Yoohyeon standing by the entrance, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Sua unnie."
The call of her name has her looking up, giving you a moment's peace while the younger girl frowned. "You left me." Bora softens at her words before she's shaking her head and then gesturing for her to come closer. "I could never leave you, you big puppy. I just had to check on this one, too." She says this while pointing at you, and the moment Yoohyeon's eyes land on your tired figure, she doesn't hesitate coming over, nearly stumbling with her drowsy state and Siyeon can't help but laugh.
"Be careful." Dong's brows pinch together when Yoohyeon finally reaches the couch, joining you and the dancer before you let out a groan at being squished.
"How cute!" Minji comes back a little afterwards to see the pile the three of you are in. Yoohyeon had wiggled her way in between you and Bora and was now spooning you whilst the dancer did her best to have her arms around both of you in the tiny space you had.
The other three smiled at the display before the leader joined Siyeon and Dong on the other couch. "Dami and Gahyeon sure are taking their time." She comments when Dong rests against her shoulder. "Where did they say they were going?"
Siyeon hums as she lays on Minji's lap, snuggling close. "I'm not sure. Yoohyeon should know though."
Hearing that snapped the puppy's eyes open and she lifted her head a little. With a quick survey around the room, she groans when she sees the absence of the other two maknaes before burying her face against your back. “Gahyeon’s gonna kill me.” She feels the vibrations as you chuckle while lacing your fingers together with Bora’s. “Didn’t you have an alarm or something?”
She’s silent for a moment before shaking her head. “I forgot.”
Bora laughs at her muffled response before finally getting up, squeezing your hand as she does so, and then sits properly. “I’m sure they’ll be back soon. You can apologize to her by then.”
None of you could really fault Yoohyeon for having turned her alarm off. You were all finally done with promotions and you had a few days free before having to go back to practice and prepare for Germany. There was a lot lined up, so you would take these few days of rest well.
"Will you guys be going home?" Minji hears you ask, finally giving up on sleep as you turn, now facing Yoohyeon and allowing her head to rest against your chest. "I'm planning to head home for a day or two." She replies with a small smile, surely she was missing her family and was more than excited to see them again.
"I'm not sure yet." Bora responds in time with Siyeon. "I'm still thinking about it. But I don't want to leave you." She says with a pout and you smile before locking eyes with the redheaded beauty next to the leader. "Dongie is going to be with me, so I won't be alone." She nods in agreement while reaching to pat the vocalist's head. "Yeah, there's no need to worry about Y/n. I'll be here for her."
"It's not like you won't come back." You add with a laugh, making Yoohyeon whine. "Can't you come home with me?" She asks you, making Bora scoff playfully and cross her arms. "Yah! Why don't I ever get an invite?"
"Invite where?"
Looking over her shoulder, Minji beams when Yubin and Gahyeon both take their shoes off and close the door behind them. "Welcome home!" She cheers before the pair finally move to place the paper bags they were holding onto the table. "How was your walk?"
You feel Yoohyeon shrink a little in your arms and hold back a laugh. "It was nice. It's cold, but not too cold, and we bought some pastries at the shop near the park." She explains while the rapper was taking the containers out for everyone to see.
"Gahyeonnie!"
Yoohyeon was already out of your arms before you could register as she was already running towards the maknae. Her outburst looked like it even startled the latter as she looked up in confusion.
"What's wrong?" Dong laughed a little at her roommate's cluelessness as Yoohyeon continued to hold her. "I overslept and I didn't get to join you for our date. I'm sorry!"
She was expecting a scolding from the latter, honestly Bora was, too, but the maknae only smiled before she gave the taller woman a hug, followed by a kiss on the cheek when she stood on her tiptoes. "It's okay. You looked really tired, and I had Dami unnie with me, so I thought I'd let you sleep some more instead."
The pout already on Yoohyeon's face only grew while Yubin smiled as she and Bora put the containers away. "You can come next time, or we can go out tonight." She suggested, reaching for a napkin and then gently taking Bora's hand to wipe some of the crumbs off her fingers, earning a swift kiss from the older woman.
"That doesn't sound too bad." Minji piped up with a smile, lightly nudging Siyeon to sit up. "We can all have dinner and celebrate, just the eight of us." She adds and Gahyeon happily agrees. "Oh, that's a great idea!"
But Yoohyeon didn't seem too convinced as she stared at the girl in her arms. "You're not mad?" Gahyeon could only roll her eyes in good nature before she ushered the big puppy down and gave her a couple pecks on the lips, effectively wiping her pout away. "I'm not mad at you, you silly puppy now stop sulking."
You finally sit up at that point, giving Yubin space to sit and she immediately pulls you into a warm embrace, adding a kiss to your temple. "Good morning, unnie. Did you sleep okay?" She asked when you leaned into her and you hummed.
"She fell asleep not too long after you left." Siyeon answers for you and Dong giggles while Minji nodded. "The hangover took a toll on her." She adds and Yubin glances down at you while you huff. "Well excuse me for not drinking as much as you." You retort playfully, making Bora laugh this time.
"It's only right that you have Dami as your roommate and Yoohyeon is mine. You wouldn't be able to take care of each other." She claims and Yoohyeon only shakes her head in response. "Unnie isn't used to drinking too much."
It was true. In the dorm, you would probably be the last person to willingly drink. While Yoohyeon was a lightweight, you just weren't too fond of alcohol but would take a few sips here and there, which was why your alcohol tolerance wasn't that high either.
"I was actually surprised you had more than just a shot last night. How many did you have, unnie?" Gahyeon asked curiously and you only curled further into Yubin's side. "I don't know, Sua unnie and Jiu unnie had me try a lot of stuff."
"So the hangover is technically their fault." Dong teases, making the leader raise her hands in defense. "I took care of her afterwards!" She explained and you shot them a weak glare. "I don't even remember getting back here." You whine and Bora giggles before pinching your cheek. "You were even more wasted than I thought you were then."
..
"Will you be okay?" Minji asks one more time as she reaches the door and Dong places a hand on her shoulder to soothe her nerves. "We'll be fine, unnie. Just go and have fun." She tells her, but the leader still looked unsure as she chewed on her lower lip. "Are you sure? It's not too late to come with me, I can tell my parents-"
Dong was quick to cut her off with a kiss, one hand pressing against her cheek as she felt the latter slowly relax, exhaling softly before they both pulled away. "Y/n and I are going to be fine. We'll be here waiting for you, so don't worry."
Though she still doesn't seem a hundred percent sure, the smile Dong shows her makes her finally relent while Yubin joins them, carrying her own bags with her and then shooting them a smile. "Ready to go." She chirped, pressing a kiss to Dong's cheek and then Minji glanced back one more time. "Call any of us if you need anything, okay?"
Nodding, Dong gives them both one more kiss to their cheeks before watching Yubin link her hand with Minji's as they leave. She waves when Minji glances back before she soon shuts the door.
When she heads back inside, Dong spots Bora and Gahyeon on the couch and lightly tosses your blanket over them. "Do that in the room, not out here." She lightly scolds before Gahyeon pulls the blanket away and looks up at her roommate with a groan. "Don't give me that look, if you start, I'd rather not have that out here."
"It's not like anyone's going to come here that we don't know." Bora tells her while you roll your eyes from your place on Siyeon's lap. "Jiu unnie just left and you decided that it would be a good idea to make out on the couch." You playfully jab at them and Siyeon chuckles lowly against your shoulder as she plays with the hem of your shirt.
"Sua unnie has a lot of energy saved up. I don't know where she keeps it." She mumbles and you're not too surprised since the current eldest in the room was known for her high levels of energy. "Would it really be Sua unnie if she wasn't bouncing on the balls of her feet?"
"You say that even though she's the calmest with you and Y/n unnie." Gahyeon retorts while Yoohyeon comes walking out of her room with her bag barely even closed as she pulls it along with her. "Y/n is trying to see how far she can push that theory."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Siyeon looks up at her when she sets her things down. "Y/n has been pestering Sua unnie a lot lately."
"I do not!" You complain while Bora casted you a look. "Y/n just wants my attention more." She stated confidently and Yoohyeon crinkled her nose. "Why? She already has it."
"Not all the time!"
"Most of the time!"
"You literally spend half the day together!"
Siyeon does her best not to laugh at the banter you and Yoohyeon have, having gotten used to this behavior already while Gahyeon just watches in amusement.
Sometimes she wonders if she really was the maknae.
Bora just watches with a grin on her face, her chest feeling warm at the simple moments shared within the dorm and just how much she felt loved.
Dong is the only one who cuts you both off, or so she hopes. "Stop arguing. Unnie spends her time with me, so shush." You both swivel your heads so that you're looking at your fellow foreigner and she wears that same cocky smirk while she leans back on her seat.
Siyeon only gives you a small squeeze, reminding you of her presence before you huffed and turned to her instead. "Fine, I have Siyeon unnie anyways." You stick your tongue out in retaliation and the vocalist laughs in delight while Yoohyeon’s face scrunches and Bora gives you a look of disbelief. Yah!”
“It’s not my fault!”
“I want Siyeon unnie too!”
Yeah, it was bound to be another eventful day, indeed.
After another couple of days, Bora had Minji in her arms as the pair decided to spend the rest of the day indoors for once. The latter was still a little tired, so the dancer opted to stay with her while the others wanted to head out and explore a little more before having to leave the country again.
“Oh, someone’s using the Vapp.” She exclaimed when she received the notification, and judging by the title, her smile only widened when she guessed who it could possibly be. “Did she really just go to the company to do this?” The leader giggled when Bora opened up the live, the side of your face greeting her as you spoke to someone who was out of frame.
When you notice that there are more people watching, there comes the toothy grin on your face that makes the duo laugh and coo. “Hello~ How is everyone doing?”
Bora only monitors the comments, her heart warming when she sees the amount of love being sent to you, along with follow-up congratulations despite it being at least two weeks now.
“You’re surprised to see me, huh?” You ask playfully, wiggling your brows before adjusting your beanie. “Honestly, I’ve been meaning to do a live for a while now, but the timing always didn’t seem right and then I’d forget.” You explain apologetically, brows knitting together as you rest your chin against your fist. “Why did I want to? Well, I know that the members and I have all thanked you, but I wanted to give Somnias a gift, too.”
Minji quirks a brow at your words and Bora raises the volume on her phone a little. “It isn’t a special clip, but I’ll try to ask permission.” You tease, a mischievous glint in your eyes that makes the dancer chuckle. “But for now, I’ll sing you a little something.”
They can see you walking around the practice room before figuring that you were headed for the keyboard that rested at the corner where Yoohyeon and Siyeon usually practice. You’ve picked up after the pair, so it’s not too much of a surprise that you set the camera in front of it and then took a seat.
“I’ve been practicing on this song for a while and I hope InSomnia and the members can hear my sincere feelings.”
Yubin smiles when she hears your voice coming through her earphones. She wasn’t planning on watching, but when she saw various comments on weverse, she was curious. “What are you watching?” Siyeon peeks over her shoulder and the rapper silently passes her the other piece for the older woman to hear.
“Oh, Y/nnie!” But she quickly shushes herself when she starts to hear the sound of the piano playing.
You don't have to say you love me
You don't have to say nothing
You don't have to say you're mine
Dong glances at her phone when it pings and Gahyeon looks over from her place with Yoohyeon trying to pet another cat. “Y/n is live.” She informs them with a smile and the maknae happily bounces over. “Oh, so that’s where unnie went?” She asks before Dong clicks on the video, looking pleasantly surprised when she’s immediately greeted by your voice.
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Yoohyeon can’t help but perk up and walk back over to the pair when she hears your voice, confused since she knows that you don’t have a video posted about singing this song. But seeing that they were watching you through the Vapp, she’s quick to understand.
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do
When the final melody rings out, Bora smiles to herself before she begins to type in the comment section while Minji sniffles a little and wipes the stray tear that slipped down her cheek. “Not romantic she says.” Bora laughs as soon as she hits send and everyone is quick to react when they see it.
“Oh, I didn’t know that any of the members were watching!” You laugh bashfully, rubbing the back of your neck in a sheepish manner. “Yah, don’t watch, this was supposed to be a surprise.” You playfully state, making a shooing motion with your hands that only draws more laughter from the older girls.
But even as you continue to talk as though nothing had happened, Bora can’t wipe the smile from her face as she holds Minji closer. Even when you all return to the dorm that evening, she doesn’t bring it up, but she does make sure to give you a kiss before you retire for the night.
you know that I love and adore you too right?

A Kaiju and a Crane
Tumblr media
Author’s note My Dami Brain rot made me write this. I hope Y’all enjoy it.
Chapter 1: A Binding Reunion
My retainer; James came into my tent early in the morning. He was apprehensive.
“Um Yasar, there has been a message from the Insomnia kingdom. they wish to seek an audience with the Warlord of the southwest.”
I turned to my long-time friend and raised an eyebrow. “Wait really? Aren’t they in a coalition with her royal empress Karina?” I asked
“Yes but they have specifically requested the Aid of the Southwest Warlord,” James replied. I nodded and relented. I had always been kind to the Insomnia kingdom…Queendom I should say as it was ruled by 6 princesses and 1 prince after the last monarch had passed. It used to be 7 princesses but one who had been dear to my heart was…” gone”. regardless of my emotional state, I agreed to help them. So I journeyed to the kingdom. I wonder what they could want with me as I was not the most welcome person in every continent. I arrive fittingly at night to the Queendom. The doors open for me and I am guided to the castle. The doors to the massive, ornate, and Gothic halls. I approach the main hall to see seven familiar thrones. I am reminded of the time I visited here when I was a slave to the ruler Arthur. I approached the thrones and sat on the floor. One of the familiar faces laughed.
“Your respect is appreciated but we can spare a seat for the illustrious southwestern Warlord.” Princess Siyeon said teasingly. I sighed and got up waiting for a seat. The kind princess and eldest of them Jiu said to me
“We thank you for coming, but notice you came alone. Why is that?”
I leaned to the side as I waited for my chair, “ You asked for me alone so I alone came. I don’t need an entourage when one will do...I am not the ruler of my people. My people are ruled by rules and by their convictions. They merely align with mine.” I replied. Jiu nodded
“So you trust in the power of your ideals to carry your kingdom without you?” Jiu inquired
“Absolutely,” I stated with unwavering conviction. I also couldn’t help but steal glances at the throne that used to house Princess Yubin, and my heart felt immense pain. Well being here made me always feel pain.
Tumblr media
The Prince looked at me and with almost a knowing look asked “Can I help you, Warlord?”
I sighed and sat as they finally brought me a chair.
“Oh, I am sorry. It’s just I used to be a friend of the person who used to hold that chair.” I replied. The Prince looked at me confused but I waved it off. “I mean no disrespect,” I added.
“You knew Princess Yubin?” Yoohyeon the inquisitive princess asked. I nodded
“But that was a lifetime ago now so…” I trailed off in response. The princesses looked at me and I grew impatient. “So what is the request you have of me?”
“We need you to escort our prince Dami to the Oracle. She has summoned you two.” Sua the Festive Princess stated in between giggles. I hesitated the last time I was here and called to the Oracle spoke to me she prophesied that I would destroy the order and become a terrible monster and within the next hour I arrived back at the castle and my magic powers went berserk because Princess Yubin was assassinated. She didn’t go unavenged I made sure of it. Her crime wanting to give me my freedom. I wasn’t the same after that, but here the princesses were asking me in earnest for help and what kind of person would I be if I refused? So I agreed.
So began our trek. It would be a day’s journey so we packed light and left early the next day so the sun wouldn’t be an issue. The trek was quite serene but long and unfortunately, my companion wasn’t chatty. The travel could have been made easier if I just made a dimensional door to the location but I didn’t want to offend my companion. When he finally spoke we were halfway to the Oracle’s land.
“Do you miss Princess Yubin?” Dami asked. I turned to him and noticed that despite being quite masculine there was the weird pressing familiar feminine side to him. It made me feel weird.
“I do,” I responded courteously.
“Why? We have no records of you visiting the court until today and”
“Well, I was a very different person when your court saw me,” I responded Dami nodded and I noticed a mark slightly appear from her shoulder and neck area. He quickly went to cover it.
“What is it?” Dami asked annoyed noticing my glance, and I couldn’t shake this familiar feeling, but I couldn’t place it.
“Sorry the mind wanders, but to answer your question. I miss Princess Yubin because she was the first to believe in me. She and the power of her odd eye saw something in me that I couldn’t.”
“You knew of her power?” Dami asked surprised. I nodded “Who told you?”
“She did. I believe her words were…She told me not to tell anyone so I’ll just leave it at that.” I responded. “But I do miss her,” I added. As I spoke I took out a little photo I had of the princess I kept. I showed Dami who smiled at it. I realized he looked a lot like Yubin just with shorter hair, but I didn’t think about it too much.
“She must have impacted you for you to carry her photo around.” Prince Dami said.
“Well, she was the one who influenced my ideal motto that a land is only as strong as the might of its people.” I retorted. When Dami heard that another look of knowing took his face.
“You’re the previous Emperor’s slave Eevir,” Dami stated
“That…was my slave name. My name is Yasar.” I responded flatly, and curtly
Dami chuckled. “I have a letter for you from Dami before she passed. See Dami was my sister and she cared for you. She wanted to see you free. She just didn’t have the chance before her death, but she had a letter for you before she died that she wanted to give you. I have it so when we get back to the castle I fetch it for you.” Dami explained. I nodded and said Okay. As we neared the end of our Journey Dami asked me this, “I know the empress has been hunting you, but why?”
I stopped at the door to the oracle and answered, “She believed Eevir killed her father. However, I haven’t seen him since I ran away from that kingdom the day Yubin died.” I answered, and with that, we walked into the Oracle’s realm.
The smell of incense, mur, and numerous other oils, herbs, and the like filled my nose as I entered the low-light room. Most of the illumination came from a glowing liquid that filled the room... As Prince Dami and I approached the Oracle said “Ah yes the Kaiju and the Crane right on time.” The oracle was a short lady with bandages covering her eyes. She had skin that was dark like mine but it was covered in inscriptions incantations and other affirmations that granted her an unparalleled sight. Or so I am told While I believe in magic (I have seen it and used it myself) I didn’t believe in the art of future telling.
“Hey O” I greeted.
“I missed you Kaiju you but I knew you’d be gone for some time. How have you been?” The oracle asked
“Ah, you know on the run for something I didn’t do,” I replied
“Oh right the murder of the emperor when you weren’t even on the same continent of his assassination. I foresaw this. I remember. How are the nightmares?” The Oracle questioned me
“They cleared up two weeks ago?” I responded
“Oh lovely. How about you Crane how are you.” The Oracle moved on
“I am curious as to why you called us both here,” Dami interjected
“Well silly I am here to marry you two together.” The Oracle stated with a grin on her face
“Excuse me?” I said, “Listen I…am not….that.” I explained
“I also don’t…am not that.” Prince Dami stammered.
The oracle sighed and waved her hand. The room around us flashed and I felt a nauseous feeling as we were being teleported away Eventually I passed out. When I came to I sat up and I was in a forest. There was a distinct smell of chocolate. I sat up to look around but found myself hindered I looked down to see Prince Dami lying on my chest his eyes were shut peacefully and again there was this nagging sense of a familiar feminine energy that radiated off of him. I ignored it. I decided it was the best course of action to determine where we were. I moved Dami off of me. I was careful not to jostle him too much. As I did I noticed that Dami and I had matching wedding bands. I sighed and went to take it off. I was surprised to find I couldn’t. I tried to think carefully but with all the complex emotions I was feeling it became difficult. I did decide to set Dami up in a bedroll, and a pillow for better sleep. “Oh good you’re awake Kaiju.” a familiar voice exclaimed
I responded “What did you do?” to The Oracle. “Where are we?” I also added
“Me I didn’t do anything. The gods did, as to where you are. I’d have to guess the Seraph Queendom.” I paused which meant we were half a day’s journey back to my camp. I began to focus using my magic to enchant my map.
“Oh no you are not going home I have a quest for you two.” the oracle said and I could feel my spell being countered. I sat frustrated. “Don’t you give me that face,” The Oracle said.
“No, you don’t get to say that just because you paid for my freedom. You are not entitled to my time.” I responded
“Oh, that's why would I care about that? both you and I know you weren’t a slave and wouldn’t stay one. What I am talking about is bringing your princess back to you.” The Oracle said
I squinted “What do you mean?” I questioned
“You know if you used your true sight instead of your eyes you could see.” The Oracle teased. I clenched my fist becoming annoyed with this confusing conversation. I relaxed as Dami began to stir. I didn’t want to scare him so I quickly dispelled the magical energy that was flowing through me at the time. Dami began to lift himself.
“Oh good your both awake.” the Oracle said Dami turned to face me and blushed. I watched as he in a flustered manner attempted to look presentable. ”you two lovebirds need to help the seraph queens” the oracle said matter of factly. I nodded Dami was a bit more frantic.
“omomomo,” Dami said in a way that reminded me of Yubin. I heard that and reflexively comforted him in the way I would Dami.
“It will be fine. I’ll cover you.” I said and Dami’s eyes went wide. the oracle laughed.
“There’s the defender of the meek.” The Oracle teased. I sighed, and prepared to get some wrappings and musings ready for a fight but also just helpful Spells like making bridges of ice, healing spells, etc. Dami walked over to me and leaned on my shoulder like Yubin used to do. he whispered into my ear
Tumblr media
“What’s that?” He asked
“It’s my gift. Like Yubin’s Odd Eye my “gift” is called Heart of Outreaching Light. I can infuse my emotions into stuff like this or song and change the physical world.” Dami turned to me and smiled, and all I could see was Yubin. my heart began to hurt.
“what’s wrong?” Dami asked voice full of concern and care.
“just missing Yubin and every time I see you; I see her.” Dami nodded and was about to say something but quickly decided against it. after finishing my preparations I turned to the Oracle and nodded. The Oracle smiled at me Prince Dami who also got ready. Then we began the trek out to the Seraph Queendom. On the trek, I heard a bird chirp and looked to the canopy for it. I began to hear Dami chuckle.
"What are you looking for?" He asked with a goofy grin
"I heard a bird chirping" I answered
Dami smirked and to my surprise, he whistled like a bird in front of me, and just like that I was transported back to a time back when I was Yubin who had a similar talent and I responded
"Well, the thinking princess never seems to run out of talents." Prince Dami looked at me with a look of knowing and somber tenderness. he replied exactly how Yubin would have, "Oh you like that...You should see my other skills." I turned to Dami who moved closer caressing my face and moving in closer. A wave of this feminine aura washed over me that was familiar as he got close and before we could get any closer recollection painted his face.
"Sorry, my sister taught me that before she died." Prince Yubin said
after that Dami spoke up a bit more.
“So after leaving the Insomnia Queendom where did you go? Walk me through how you went from Slave to Warlord,” she said
“Sure but I have a question for you. Were you hidden the whole time from the public eye because you seemingly came out of nowhere after Yubin’s death?”
“…I was hidden as I was too young to rule,” Dami said calmly. I nodded and then began to answer his question.
“Well After freeing myself, and avenging your sister…” before I could continue Dami interjected
“How did you avenge my sister?” Dami asked
“I found the assassin and tore her apart,” I replied coldly
“Oh Okay. Did it bring you peace?” Dami asked seriously
“No, but I did feel better, plus the reward gave me enough gold to move on with my life.” I half joked-joked
“My sister must have done a number on you for you to care that much,” Dami said
“Well, I used to not believe in… true love at first sight, until I met Yubin…However, I would come to love all the princesses of Insomnia for their quirks and unique temperaments. Yubin holds a special place in my heart. I explained to Dami’s laughter. His laugh was pretty and lifted my spirits at least a little.
“Hey, so why do you wear makeup that makes you look more like a girl?”
“Why do I look pretty?” Dami teased. I tensed Dami noticed this and followed up with, “Omomo. My apologies. I wear it to look like the other princesses.” Dami responded
I nodded and when the awkward silence took place I replied. “Yes, you do look pretty.” Dami turned to me and smiled. He kissed my cheek which made me feel weird on the inside, but it was a pleasant weird.
Upon arriving in the kingdom I was surprised to see such a disaster. fires and buildings were crumbling. This led to mass panic within the coastal town so Dami and I began the process of helping the people. he started the process of calming the people and guiding them to safety. I had the dumb role of picking a fight with a volcano and a tempest. I summoned my Celestial Saber and began running to the danger and as I did I pointed people in Dami’s direction who were running away. As I reached the town square I saw them. A dragon was fighting a giant. I made a quick prayer and then activated my winged boots and Chest plate. I ascended to their level and thought about trying the “Diplomatic approach” first.
Tumblr media
“Hey, Can you two potentially take this duel elsewhere,” I asked politely. The Dragon looked at me incredulously and said
Tumblr media
“You dare interrupt our glorious battle?” I sighed and tried to explain that I wasn’t just finding a less populated venue, and for that, I got a lightning bolt to the chest. when I recovered I took a breath and sighed. if they wanted to play it. I unsheathed my celestial saber and flew back to the two fighting creatures. I slashed at the dragon with my sword’s flame edge and ice edge for the fire giant.
“Do you mean to Challenge me 'cause your speech is threatening. to the writer of your history? your future is perverted by mercy. Well, your Challenge Has been met because with a breath I could snap your neck.” I yelled as magic energy flowed through me. I then rose higher and cast “Shatter the sky” I watched as both the dragon and the Giant took giant stars to the face. they looked at me in terror and ran off. thankfully. after that display, I was nearly tapped out, but I still had a job to do. I got to the highest point of the city and took out one of my more major scrolls. I infused it with more of my magic and cast greater restoration on the entire city
“Hush little Yael I hear them leaving for the week. I am sorry but your lungs are Empty. Hush little Yael you’ve finally achieved peace. for in your new home, the monsters won’t be seen.” I sang as I watched my magic flow into healing the city and its citizens. after that, I was officially tapped out and passed out. I was woken by water being poured onto me. I looked up to see Yubin smiling at me…wait it was Dami. He smiled as he lowered the pail of water and helped me up.
"I had heard tales of the singing Warlord but always thought that they were fabrications or tall tales." He said. I shrugged. Dami rolled his eyes and gave me a big hug. After a few minutes too long Dami broke the hug and said "Let's go talk to the Seraph queens."
I nodded and we made the small journey of 65 steps to the castle. I was tense sensing this Dami put his hand in mine. It was unusually soft almost dainty. As we walked in the 5 queens looked at us intimidatingly. "You expect us to believe that the Prince of Insomnia, and the Warlord of the West just happened to save our country with no other intentions?" Queen Sakura said.
"Yeah, you're right it was a mistake We'll go." I stammer Dami on the other hand stays firm.
"We came at the request of The Oracle," he said. I stood in awe of Dami because this was the second time he stood courageously. after speaking he gave me a look that sent my heart racing, and several emotions through my heart and head. I couldn't shake this weird feeling though. It was constantly present in my torso. It made me light-headed. The queen Sakura relented however and let us be on our way.
While traveling I told the prince I could get him home if that were something he was okay with. Dami nodded and I used Vicar Dominic's Vanishing Door, and with it, we were outside of the Castle of Insomnia. I stared into his eyes and was met by an unrelenting force of feminine energy from earlier that I had been fighting back, but instead of fighting it, I gave into it and Dami. That feeling took over and I began to Kiss Dami with more passion. my brain has shut off. when we broke the kiss Dami gave me a look and a gesture to follow him and I did. we get to a secret passage that led o his bed chambers and then it all became clear. As "Dami" began to strip I noticed inconsistencies that weren't masculine features typically my brain was still slow to process but my body and heart caught on. If I am being honest my heart knew long before but my brain didn't let me see it. I began to kiss Dami more passionately and deeper. he held my face wanting to take in more of me I kissed back and was surprised when Dami said, "Gods I have missed you," and then everything clicked in full "Yubin." Yubin smiled and said
"took you long enough."

The faint hum of the car radio fell deaf in your ears, your eyes glued to the phone before you. Heart clenching as you read the message for the millionth time, a headache forming as you tried to comprehend it. She was gone. In the blink of an eye your sister's precious life was ripped from your grasp. Eyes stinging with tears that you stubbornly refused to let them fall, vision blurred as you turned your gaze to the window. Sinking your teeth into the soft pink flesh of your lips as hazy memories of happier days with her filled your mind. Your phone lay discarded on the seat, fingers curling into a fist as the blunt words of the doctor's message echoed in your head.
Ears ringing as your heart thumped in your ear, you focused your gaze on a crowd of people in the distance. They shared wide smiles, laughing with mirth as they spoke happily. Eyes zeroing in on a young girl, gorgeous dark locks held in a loose ponytail, her eyes gleaming with amusement. She looked like your sister, the resemblance was uncanny. Joyous giggles bubbling from her lips as she tilted her head back, covering her mouth in embarrassment at the volume of her cackles.
So blissfully unaware of the agony that plagued you, a dark stormy cloud looming above your head. No one around you seemed to care for your heartache, going about their day as usual. You wanted people to know, not how devastated you were, but how amazing your sister was. She deserved recognition for always fighting through her hardships with a lingering grin on her lips. Never once did she frown when told of her inevitable demise. You wished to tell the world of her tale, her time on this earth may have passed, but the impact she left was far from gone. You promised to remember her till the end of days, and you were adamant about the rest of the world sharing your love for her.
Your feelings swayed endlessly between hurt from losing a loved one and content knowing that she was no longer in constant agony. As tears threatened to spill from your eyes, you wished desperately that you could cry. Forced to conceal your feelings behind a mask made the picture perfect idol life seem cruel. You plastered a dazzling smile on your lips as you exited the van that came to a halt, praying that no one would notice your glossy eyes. Waving at your fans, you feigned an expression of happiness, unable to bring a genuine smile to your lips.
It was times like this that you missed your members more than ever, they always knew just what to do in order to calm you. Minji’s kind smile and motherly nature, eyes filled with nothing but my sympathy as she would whisper sweet nothings in your ear. Bora’s booming laughter as she danced around the room, distracting you from your worries. Siyeon’s tight hugs, as she nuzzled into your neck, hand combing through your hair soothingly. Handong’s words of advice, encouraging you to fight your battles with her by your side. Yoohyeon’s clumsiness brings a grin to your lips, as she cluelessly stumbled over her words in hopes of comforting you. Yubin’s hand laced with yours as she listened carefully to everything you had to say. Gahyeon's shy smile as she leans her head on your shoulder, tracing nonsensical patterns on your collarbone, pulling you back down to earth. In some way, all the chaos that came with them seemed to hold a soothing nature.
You were pushed right back into reality, the manager rushing you down the halls of the establishment swiftly. The bright white luminescent lights left back spots in your vision as you trailed through the halls, ushered quickly into a dressing room. People immediately swarmed around you, touching up your natural make-up and patting down your frizzy hair. It was a last minute offer you’d taken up in light of the recent news of your sister's passing. Being busy with all your schedules made you regret not taking more time off to visit her. So when your manager proposed an interview with a young terminally ill girl, you jumped on the opportunity.
People deserved to have a beacon of hope in their times of hardship, your sister had you, but this young girl wasn’t so fortunate. You wanted to ensure that she had something to believe in, it helped make your sisters experience more positive, so you wished to do the same for others. Led to an unknown location by your manager, you stepped cautiously around the corner. An all too familiar head of hair greeting you, the frail figures had her head ducked, choppy bangs shielding her face from your view.
Hair braided into intricate patterns, much like what your sister had requested from you while sitting idly in her hospital bed, always insisting that you made her hair look the prettiest. No younger than the ripe age of twelve, features more defined, figure unnervingly slim. Gone was the look of cheerfulness from earlier, replaced by sorrow. Eyes telling a tale of heartache, frown etched on her face as she sat stiffly on a bench. Audibly gulping at the all too familiar sight, you clenched your jaw, willing away the tears that brimmed in your eyes.
Taking the seat beside her, you glanced wearily at the hidden cameras. “Hello, I’m Y/n,” you introduced, plastering a sweet smile on your lips. She raised her head slowly to meet your gaze, eyes blank as she bowed stiffly. “Hi, I’m Sunhee,” she spoke sombrely, with no strength to fight anymore. Your heart dropped at her monotonous way of speaking, sighing before you continued. “It’s nice to meet you Sunhee,” you widen your smile, hoping she would mirror it.
One of the producers ducked his head out from behind the camera crew, looking at you with intrigue. “Sunhee, why did you make the decision to participate in this show?” He asked with a script in hand, gazing at the younger girl with kind eyes and an encouraging smile. She carefully pulled a folded piece of paper from her pocket, staring down at the scribbled words. “I’ve spent most of my life trapped in the same four walls, needles poking into my skin and the same bland food everyday. I know I’m a lost cause, but before I go I want to experience the things all kids my age have, going out to amusement parks on weekends, holidays with my family, playing stupid games just for fun. I want to be a kid, not some precious locked up sick girl.” She spoke passionately, the corners of her lips tugging up as she continued.
“But my doctor says that I can’t, apparently it will only worsen my condition. I don’t understand why they still bother, I’m incurable after all. I may as well spend my last days ticking off my bucket list, rather than being hauled up in a dull room.” Her words made your heart clench, she deserved to live a happy life, even if it was short. Sighing, you looked towards the staff hesitantly, but they all cowered behind their cameras. “You remind me a lot of my younger sister Sunhee.” You exhaled shakily, willing yourself not to break down on camera. You had to be strong for her.
“Her name is Daeun.” You spoke of her in present tense, grinning as you reminisced about your time with her. She’s very pretty just like you and she’s got a heart of gold. Always strong minded and ambitious.” You smiled somewhat bitterly, eyes shining. “Unfortunately she got very sick a few years ago, and the doctors told her she wouldn’t get better.” You quickly wiped away the tears that stained your flushed cheeks, a watery chuckle rumbling in your chest. “But she never let that wipe the smile off her face,” your voice wavered, looking down at the girl before you.
“All she wanted was to spend her last days here on this earth having the time of her life. So although it may help your condition, sitting in a hospital room for the rest of your days isn’t living, Sunhee.” The young girl looked up to you hopefully, eyes sparkling with excitement. “If it’s okay with your parents, would you like to have some fun?” You asked playfully, holding your hand out to her. She jumped to her feet, unable to contain her eagerness any longer. “Eomma, Appa, can I go with Y/n unnie?” She waved to them, beaming with joy as they nodded their heads.
“We just want you to be happy, Sunhee,” her mother spoke, smiling tearfully. “Have fun sweetie,” her father spoke, nodding appreciatively to you. Without a second thought, she took your extended hand. She was now unable to wipe the toothy grin off her face no matter how badly her cheeks ached. “So, what would you like to do first?” You asked enthusiastically, encouraging her to choose anything her heart desired. “Carnival!” She cheered without missing a beat, eyes glowing as you nodded at her request.
~~
The day was filled with endless giggles and as much junk food as the two of you could shove in your mouth. You were equipped with a camera and the staff let you run around the fair like wild animals. “What’s next?” You asked Sunhee, clearly enjoying this just as much as she was. You let yourself relax and just enjoy the day, knowing your sister would want you to be happy. Although there was  still a sense of bitterness lingering deep within you, for now you focused on the girl before you.
“Can we go on the ferris wheel?” Sunhee asked, tugging on your sleeve. “Of course we can. I see you saved the best for last,” you grinned, letting her pull you towards the main attraction. Before you knew it, they settled on the ride, cruising up to the highest point. As it came to a slow speed near the top, you gazed up to the sky in amazement. It was painted with vibrant pinks and oranges, the golden hue of the sun lighting up the grounds below you. It was as if you’d been blessed by the heavens, a message sent to you by your beloved sister.
“Unnie, do you think I can go to your concert?” Sunhee asked timidly, pulling you back to reality. You turned to her with a smile, wrapping your arm around her shoulders. “Definitely, my members would love to meet you.” You grinned at the thought, the ferris wheel beginning to pick up its pace once more. “Your sister could come too!” She spoke innocently, leaning her head on your shoulder tiredly. “Maybe someday, I’m sure she’d love that.” You blinked back your tears, not wanting the young girl to see you like this.
As the ride came to a halt, you lifted the sleepy girl into your arms, carrying her back to her parents and the production team. “Thank you for today unnie,” Sunhee mumbled, grinning bashfully as you set her down on the ground. “I should be the one thanking you, today was really fun!” You said sincerely, “just promise me one thing Sunhee.” She looked up to you curiously, blinking rapidly to stay awake. “Promise me that you’ll keep smiling and having fun.” You sniffled, holding out your pinky to the young girl.
“I promise I will Y/n unnie!” Sunhee proclaimed, linking her finger with your own. “See you soon unnie!” She said happily, wrapping her arms around your waist for a warm hug. “See you soon, Sunhee-yah!” You cheered, patting the top of her head. She exaggeratedly waved to you as she ran towards her parents' open arms, while they sent thankful smiles your way. Only once the girl was out of sight did you let the tears fall freely down your cheeks, a pained smile gracing your lips.
~~
The girls were all scattered around the lounge, eyes glued to the television screen. They perked up at the sound of the door creaking open, Yubin pressing pause on the movie as you stumbled into the dorm. “You’re home!” Yoohyeon exclaimed from the couch, the dimly lit room masking your tear stained cheeks. “Y/n?” Minji called out to you after a beat of silence, the faint sniffles from you had them jumping to their feet in alarm. Bora scrambled towards you, cupping your cheeks when she reached your dishevelled figure.
“What happened, baby?” She asked, concern evident on her face. You opened your mouth to speak, but the only thing that slipped past your lips was a broken sob. Bora pulled you into her, holding you tightly as you collapsed in her arms. Siyeon was already behind you, sandwiching you between the two girls. She pressed gentle kisses to the back of your head, whispering sweet nothings in your ear, trying desperately to calm you down. They hated seeing you so distressed, especially when they didn’t know how to help you feel better.
Gahyeon watched helplessly as the two older girls comforted you, your pained cries summoned tears to her eyes, her bottom lip quivering as you sobbed in their arms. “Y/n sweetie, we need you to tell us what’s wrong.” Handong asked calmly, combing her hand through your hair as she attempted to sooth you. But it seemed that every time you tried to utter the words a heart aching whimper broke past your lips, cutting you off before you could speak. Yoohyeon clung to Yubin in fear, she didn’t know what could have made you so distraught.
Yoohyeon and Yubin peaked over their leader's shoulder as she unlocked your phone with ease. They read through the message over and over, no matter how many times they did it didn’t make sense. “She’s gone,” you mumbled brokenly, sobbing uncontrollably. All your pent up emotions breaking past the floodgates, finally able to let them out in the confines of your dorm, with the people you loved the most. “Who’s gone Y/n?” Handong brushed a stray strand of hair from your face, frowning at the sight of your reddened, puffy eyes.
“D-Daeun, she-she’s gone,” you managed to stutter out, a series of gasps floating around the room. Minji’s eyes shined with tears as she ushered everyone back down to the couch, pulling you down next to her. “I w-wasn’t there f-for her,” you muttered between hiccups. Gahyeon side hugged you, hoping that if she held you tight enough she could take some of your pain. “I didn’t get to say goodbye, I didn’t even get to attend her funeral. What kind of sister am I?” your voice cracked, tears endlessly spilling from your eyes. The room was eerily quiet as they all did their best to console you, all eight of you falling asleep on the couches.
In times like these you always preferred to stay together, even if it meant being curled up uncomfortably and being splayed out on top of each other. By the time morning came, you were curled into Yoohyeon’s side, her arms wrapped securely around your waist. Your eyes fluttered open, squinting at the beam of sunlight that shone through the window. Groaning, you lifted your head, doing a quick scan of the room. Gahyeon was laying on top of Siyeon, her cute snores bringing a small smile to your lips. Handong and Yubin’s legs were tangled together, hair messy from a night on the couch.
As your gaze wandered around the room, you caught sight of Bora sitting up on the ground, a pile of cushions surrounding her. Meeting your gaze, she lifted herself from the floor, stealthily crawling into the space next to you. “How are you feeling?” She asked in a motherly tone, caressing your cheek with the pad of her thumb. You hummed tiredly in response, leaning further into her warmth. “I don’t know yet,” you said unsure, still coming to terms with everything that had occurred in the past few days. She nodded in understanding, running her fingers through your hair soothingly.
“Where’s Minji?” You asked, looking around the room confused, your leader nowhere in sight. “I think she’s got something planned for today,” Bora smiled, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. “I need a real one right now,” you sighed, leaning forward to connect your lips. Your lips moulded together like puzzle pieces, the sudden movement causing Yoohyeon to stir from her slumber. The younger girl instinctively began peppering featherlight kisses to the back of your neck, affectionately nuzzling her nose into the back of your head.
Smiling, you pulled away from Bora, nudging your nose against hers. She scrunched her face up cutely, pressing one final peck to your lips before rising from the couch. “I’ll get started on breakfast,” she said, swaying her hips playfully as she disappeared into the kitchen. “Morning Yooh,” you mumbled, turning around to face the puppy-like girl. She pulled you impossibly closer to her body, sleepily snuggling into your chest. “I love you,” she blurted out randomly in her sleepy daze. “I love you too, Yoohyeon,” you chuckled, a genuine smile gracing your lips.
“Surprise attack!” A sudden yell made you flinch, Siyeon’s body landing on top of your both. She giggled happily to herself, pushing her body in between the two of you. “A warning would have been nice,” Yoohyeon muttered in faux irritation. “Well it wouldn’t be a ‘surprise attack’ if I did that, wouldn’t it?” The wolf-like girl asked teasingly, hoping her playful nature would momentarily distract you from your heartache. Your giggles at her silliness echoed around the room, a triumphant smile plastered on Siyeon’s lips.
“You guys are so loud,” Handong spoke from across the room, startling the three of you. She shook her head, chuckling in amusement at the look of surprise that reflected on each of your faces. Yubin observed the interaction quietly, concerned gaze landing on you. She was glad to see you looking brighter than last night, but she could still see the emptiness in your eyes. As much as you could laugh along and be happy with the rest of your members, there was still a gaping hole in your heart.
“Breakfast is ready!” Bora shouted from the kitchen, poking her head around the corner, a colourful apron draped around her neck. “Could someone help me set the table?” She asked, Yoohyeon immediately springing up from the couch, heading over to the older girl with Handong trailing closely behind her. You reluctantly pulled yourself away from Siyeon’s embrace, rising to your feet. Bending over, you reached your hand out to shake Gahyeon’s shoulder, pulling her from her deep slumber.
She began mumbling sleepily, rolling over in hopes of escaping you. “Five more minutes,” she pleaded, burying herself under a pile of blankets. “Bora unnie made your favourite,” you lured her out of her sleep-like state with incentives. “Where?” She sat up abruptly, sleepy eyes darting around the room in search of the promised dish. She drowsily stumbled over to where the other girls had gathered, pulling Siyeon along with her. Both girls were now wide awake, stomachs rumbling in hunger.
Yubin wordlessly tugged you towards her, arms snaking around your waist as she pulled you back down to the couch. “I’m sorry about your sister,” she said sympathetically, eyebrows furrowed. “It’s not your fault,” you said, sinking your teeth into your bottom lips in contemplation. “I know, but I’m still sorry that you have to go through this,” said wisely. Nodding your head appreciatively, you wrapped your arms around her neck in a hug.
“I hope you know that you don’t have to go through it alone though,” she reminded you. She gazed into your eyes, making sure you clearly understood her words. “We’re all here for you, whether it be to talk or just a shoulder to cry on. We’ll always be here to catch you when you fall,” Yubin said sincerely, squeezing you a little tighter to get the message across. “Thank you,” you mumbled, letting yourself relax in her hold.
The rest of the morning continued as usual, although the girls all did their best to cheer you up. Minji’s absence was becoming more and more obvious as the day went on, even though she’d been sending you cute texts, checking in on you every now and then. It just wasn’t the same as having her by your side. Your mind constantly wandered to thoughts of her throughout the day, pondering her whereabouts. It wasn’t long before the door flew open, your leading appearing before you in all her glory.
Instantly, you rushed into her arms, having missed her warm cuddles all day. “Sorry I wasn’t here when you woke up, I had to go into the company.” She apologised, keeping you wrapped up in her arms as she spoke. “I want to take you somewhere, it’ll be quick. I thought it might bring you some peace of mind,” she combed her fingers through your locks, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You nodded along to her words, lacing your fingers with her as she slipped her hand into your own.
Letting her bring you to the car, you made sure your bodies were touching through the whole ride. Whether it be your knees brushing against each other, her hand rested on your thigh or your head laying on her shoulder. You needed physical comfort, and Minji was always happy to provide for you. She was constantly pressing sweet kisses to your forehead, cheeks and lips on the way to your destination. Once you’d finally arrived, you started to understand the meaning behind her impromptu trip.
She handed you a bouquet of white lilies, a light smile resting on her lips. Minji pulled you through the cemetery, already having memorised the path to where your sister lay. “Last night you said you didn’t have the chance to say goodbye, so it got me thinking..” She trailed off, sheepishly scratching the back of her neck. Cutting her off, you jumped into her arms, a bittersweet smile gracing your lips. “Thank you,” you whispered in her ear, soaking her shirt with fresh tears.
“Anything for you,” Minji spoke truthfully, wiping away your tears with the pads of her thumbs. “I love you so much and I just want to see you happy,” she confessed, becoming tearful. “I love you too,” you cried, touched by her thoughtfulness. Minji connected your lips in an innocent kiss, leaving a salty taste on your tongue. Wordlessly, she moved behind you, snaking her hands around you in a back hug. She supported you as you spoke to your sister's grave, rubbing soothing circles on your hips and listening attentively, but remaining silent by your side.
~~
As months ticked by your wounded heart began to heal with the help of your members. Minji still took you on frequent outings to visit your sister, always bringing flowers and a bright smile. Bora made sure you always stayed entertained, teaching new dances and just messing around playfully. Siyeon refused to let you sleep alone, insisting on holding you every night, although you were unsure of whether that was for her or you. Handong made you her favourite Chinese dishes, encouraging you to help her in the kitchen, always ending with you both being covered in various ingredients. Yoohyeon took you on regular walks with Pie and Cherry, hand laced with yours as you chatted about anything that came to mind. Yubin was there to comfort you on bad days, knowing exactly what to say to calm you no matter the occasion. Gahyeon woke you up each morning with a smile, getting you out of the dorms to do various exhilarating activities. They always knew just what you needed to feel better.
“We watched your day out with Sunhee,” Yoohyeon exclaimed from across the room. It was comeback season again and you were all getting your makeup done for the concert. “Oh yeah? What did you think?” You asked with a smile, reminiscing on your time with the cheerful young girl. “It was really cute, our Y/n is so strong and kind.” Minji cooed, pinching your cheeks. You blushed at her comment, a big smile breaking out on your face. “Siyeon and Gahyeon cried watching it,” Bora popped out of thin air to make a cheeky remark. Mentioned girls whining in annoyance, but they couldn't deny the older girls' claim. “I hope she’s doing okay,” you mumbled thoughtfully.
“Okay girls, you’re up now.” Your manager ushered you all out of the crowded space,  cutting off your chatter. You were practically buzzing with joy at the thought of finally seeing your fans again, it had been far too long since you’d done a concert. The cheers of InSomnia’s could be heard from down the halls, excitement coursing through your veins at the sound. “Ready?” Handong asked you, holding out her hand. Nodding in confirmation, you took her hand in your own, enthusiastically tugging her on stage. Your eyes widened comically at the sight of the audience, the stadium was full to the brim.
They all went wild as soon as you were all on stage, screams only dying down once the music began to play. You felt alive again, hearing the deafening shouts of supportive fans fuelled you to dance, a bright grin spread across your face throughout the entire evening. They cheered as you all began to interact with certain fortunate individuals in the front row, everyone having their fun with the audience. You were so distracted by messing around with InSomnia’s that you failed to notice the way your members all retreated from the front of the stage.
Only once the lights began to dim did you notice the absence of the girls, looking around frantically in surprise. Squinting your eyes to make out a faint shadow on the darkness, an unidentified figure emerges from behind the curtain. You held your breath at the sight of a frail girl shuffling towards you, face hidden by her dark locks. “D-Daeun…” You muttered under your breath, your chest tightening as she inched closer. A bright white light suddenly shone on her, illuminating her familiar defined pale features. “Unnie!” The young girl cheered upon meeting your gaze, grinning as she stumbled towards you, rushing into your open arms.
“It’s nice to see you, Sunhee,” you smiled, eyes pooling with tears, overwhelmed by all the emotions that suddenly began to bubble up from your chest. “I missed you!” She exclaimed, clinging onto your body as you crouched down to her level. “I missed you too,” you said, gaze briefly flickering to the night sky. Glancing over her shoulder, you met Minji’s eyes as she sent a bittersweet smile your way. You didn’t think it was possible for your heart to feel so content, yet empty at the same time, all you knew was that there would always be a missing piece.
Wrapping your arms around the young girl, you glanced up at the perfectly clear sky once more. Your eyes landing on one particular brightly shining star, beaming down on you from above. “I miss you so much, Daeun,” You whispered, letting your eyes flutter closed for a moment of peace, a stray tear cascading down your flushed cheek. Multiple pairs of arms snaked around you, supporting you as your members cried tears of their own. “I love you,” you muttered, blowing a wistful kiss up to the heavens.

8th Member All Grown Up - DC Reaction
Tumblr media
JiU/Minji
Seeing you everyday had become the norm and she never saw you more than just the little baby of the group. She helped raise you with the rest of your members and you were just this little kid to them. It wasn’t until she was watching you film one of your solo shots for the upcoming comeback. You had worn the matching clothes for Boca and you were really commanding of the camera. She was shocked to see such an aura escape you as you continued on with your part.
“When did she grow up?! She’s just a baby!”
Tumblr media
SuA/Bora
Bora had spent most of her days making sure you were completely taken care of. Helping you with homework, cleaning your clothes and making sure you were well fed all the time while you were in school. You saw her as an older sister but sometimes you saw her as a mom and addressed her as such in a joking manner. It wasn’t until you were in the middle of filming a special solo video that she had seen how much you had grown up. You were singing in the small room, singing a love song causing Bora to see you as a much more mature and grown adult rather than the little kid she had raised.
“I used to make her dino nuggets and watch her only eat the heads off of them. What happened?”
Tumblr media
Siyeon
She had helped raise you just like the other older girls had. Except she was much more fun than the older girls. She was the one you ran to when you wanted to have fun and the first person you ran to when you were having a bad day. She had trained with you cause you to have a stronger relationship with her and she cherished you just like a sister would. You were in the middle of recording a dance cover with Sooyeon that you barely noticed Siyeon walking in to check on you. She was shocked to see you dancing to Sunmi’s Tail without any kind of awkward emotion. She was happy that you were trying something new, but also a little nervous that you were growing up just a bit too fast.
“Maybe you should just go back to singing and dancing cute covers like before.... You’re still too young for something like this.”
Tumblr media
Handong
She had always seen you as a child and especially when you had whined about your stuffed raccoon going missing for over four hours. She was always joking with you that you were a baby (even if you had outgrown her two years ago). You were busy filming your part for BEcause and only some of your members had been watching. Handong watched you carefully, amused with how well you had been holding up. Maintaining the exact feelings and facial expressions that were needed for the music video.
“She’s growing up so fast right now I’m kind of scared what she’ll do next.”
Tumblr media
Yoohyeon
From the second you had debuted with them, you had been Yoohyeon’s favorite. She would dote on you and make sure you were always taken care of. She would game with you and pull all nighters with you when it came to your homework or to just pass a level in a game both of you had been playing together. She had always seen you as this little baby and would continue to dote on you until she saw you filming your concert stage which had doubled as your coming of age ceremony. Her eyes were wide when she saw your newly found stage presence, causing her to scream and look away.
“She’s just a baby! She can’t just do this!”
Tumblr media
Dami/Yubin
She had silently taken care of you, allowing you to vent to her and be with her when you were feeling down or stressed. She had watched you grow up and made sure you were always well taken care of when the older girls were too tired from intense schedules. She was busy reading her book when she heard her members scream, causing her to look up. She watched you dance and sing effortlessly to Chungha’s Bicycle for tiktok. Her eyes never left while she watched, slowly realizing you weren’t the little baby anymore.
“She’s an adult now.... Why is she an adult?”
Tumblr media
Gahyeon
You were both born in the same year, but you were born laer in the year rather than earlier. She would use this against you constantly to get her way, but she still loved taking care of you. (And tease you but Bora said she couldn’t do that without an apology). When you had voiced your opinion about wanting to be more adult like, she had fully backed you and was the sole reason for your little stage during your most recent concert. She smiled while watching you perform the more mature song, hearing her members screaming at your actions.
“I did that! I helped her not be a baby!”

Yubin was at her computer, mindlessly playing some video games. She had her speakers on a somewhat low volume, despite her distracted state, she didn’t want to miss any noise that could’ve been necessary to hear. She was on a level that was weirly difficult, when she noticed the ringing of dog tags. Yubin looked to her right and yet, saw nothing. Then, she looked down, and she saw the cutest face ever staring up at her, with her tongue out.
“Aw, Wolfie!” she exclaimed, looking at her best friend on all fours, right next to the chair.
“Are you playing around or... y’know?” she asked. Siyeon shook her head no, and Yubin decided to get off the computer. She sat on the floor, as the pup walked right to her, laying down next to her. “So, what do you wanna do, pup?” Siyeon quickly darted to find a ball, coming back really quickly.
Siyeon let out a low whine as she dropped the ball next to Yubin, as Siyeon stared at her cutely.
“Do you want me to throw it?” Siyeon barked as she nodded affirmatively. “Okay, catch!” Yubin threw the ball not too far away, the blond-haired girl running to get it as fast as possible, returning quickly. They continued on like this for a few minutes, but they stopped once Yubin’s arm gave out and she lied down on the ground.
Siyeon snuggled up next to the girl, rolling around a small bit. “You’re cute,” the other exclaimed.
“Yubin... thank y-you,” Siyeon said quietly, as she sat up.
“Oh, are you not like in... dog mode I guess?”
“Yeah, I feel better,” she replied.
“Okay, that’s good.” Yubin hugged her tightly as Siyeon smiled widely. “Y-yeah, I...I didn’t feel good today.” Siyeon explains.
“Well,” Yubin began as she lifted up Siyeon and put her on the couch, “I’m here if you ever need anything.”
“Thank you.” Siyeon said as she closed her eyes, and dozed off. Yubin thought she looked really cute, so had a mini photoshoot while Siyeon was fast asleep.

↠ request;  hi, can I request a jiu x 8th dc member!reader scenario where minji is being super clingy while they're on vlive? in a way, either accidentally revealing their relationship or just the fans speculating or going crazy over their ship's interactions? the vlive could be with the other members too. I hope that made sense lmao thank you!
↠ group; dreamcatcher
↠ pairing; jiu x 8th member reader
↠ word count; 2.5k
↠ a/n; i definitely got a little carried away with this one
Tumblr media
You just got done practicing for your next comeback with the members, excited to finally start promotions and be on stage again. You and the members decided to do a surprise vlive because you missed your fans. There was no doubt that it would become another chaotic practice room vlive, especially since the manager left temporarily. Gahyeon pulled out one of the company’s phones and started setting up the vlive. She placed it on the selfie stick and waved for you and the other members to gather around.
“Okay… 1, 2, 3.” Gahyeon counts down, giving everyone a long enough notice before pressing the start button.
“Hi guys!” Everyone says at once, very loudly.
“Where are you guys?” Gahyeon reads one of the comments aloud, swinging the camera around to show off the rest of the room. “We just got done practicing in our practice room.” She answers.
“Have you guys seen the comeback news yet?” Minji asks with a hopeful smile, then squinting to read the comments after.
“Everyone is saying yes.” Yoohyeon responds.
“Are you excited?” Bora asks the fans and then waits for their comments. “We’re excited too!” She squeals excitedly. Silence takes over afterwards due to all the members being busy with reading comments.
“So what should we do today?” Siyeon breaks the silence with a question, waiting for a response.
“Dance contest!” Bora suddenly shouts, causing a few of the members to flinch.
“Yes! Let’s have a dance contest!” Minji agrees, followed by a smirk.
It was very obvious that Minji already had something planned by the look on her face. Bora gives Minji a high five, just happy that someone wanted to do her idea. You and the members then decided who is going to be a part of the contest and who is going to watch. You originally wanted to watch, but that idea got thrown out the door as Minji came over to you and grabbed your arm. She led you over to where she was previously standing. The dance contest was you and Minji versus Siyeon and Bora. Yubin, Handong and Yoohyeon just wanted to watch and Gahyeon was the designated camerawoman.
Bora turns on some dance music at almost full volume, and soon after the entire room erupts in chaos. Bora was popping off and Siyeon was trying her best to copy her. Minji pulls you in by the waist, causing your face to become bright red. While being guided by Minji, the both of you end up dancing the way teenagers do at homecoming. It is reminiscent of the troublemaker stage she did with Handong a few years ago, except this time with you it’s more intensified.
“Wow!” Gahyeon exclaims, while Handong and Yubin just gasp and Yoohyeon claps excitedly.
Bora notices the reactions that you and Minji are getting, which in return causes her to become more competitive. Siyeon on the other hand could care less, she’s just having a great time. Bora starts twerking and puts all of her energy into it while Siyeon tries to follow along with what she’s doing. Meanwhile, you and Minji just carry on with what you were already doing, paying no mind to your surroundings. Neither of you cared that you were dancing like a couple would.
The song comes to an end and you, along with the rest of the members gather up and hover around the phone again. You pull out your phone and open the vlive so you can read the comments more easily. Minji moves closer to you so she can also read the comments off of your phone. She puts her arm around your shoulder and pulls you in as close as possible next to her. The fans were still freaking out about the dance contest in the comments.
“Who do you guys think won?” Bora asks, beaming with confidence. Comments start flooding in with your name and Minji’s name.
“Yay, good job partner!” Minji cheers with a smile while using her other hand to highfive you.
“Noooooo!” Bora cries in defeat, clenching her chest with her hand overdramatically. Siyeon fake pouts and wraps her arms around Bora to hug her.
The vlive continued and the members were answering questions that the fans had asked. You started to zone out, all of that practicing from earlier was finally taking a toll on you. It was becoming harder and harder to focus since you were so tired. However, for a split second you could feel Minji’s stare, which soon shifted back down to the phone in your hand.
“Minji kiss Y/N.” Minji blurts out, reading one of the comments aloud. Without hesitation, she presses her lips against yours. Instinctively, you kiss her back but pull away quickly after realizing where you are and what you are doing.
To make things worse, none of the members even reacted. They’ve seen so much of your PDA that they didn’t even acknowledge it. They kept trying to answer more questions which became difficult due to all of the comments about the kiss. So instead they ignored the comments and talked about stuff relating to the upcoming comeback.
All of a sudden, the manager bursts through the door, causing the whole group to jump in their spots. The manager urgently tells all of you that it’s late and time for everyone to go back to the dorms. It was hard to tell whether she was mad about something or if she just wanted you and the other members to get some rest because of the packed schedule. You assume it was the latter.
You and the members said your goodbyes to the fans and the vlive came to an end. After you grab your stuff, you head out of the practice room and out of the building along with the other members. Making your way out to the van that was waiting outside, you get in and take your usual seat next to your girlfriend. Not even a second passes before she intertwines her hand with yours, which causes your heart to flutter.
“Don’t you think you guys were a little bit too obvious?” Bora questions, making you and Minji glance at each other.
“Yeah probably.” Minji says nonchalantly and you nod in agreement.
“I think the fans know for sure now.” Bora points out, referring to all of the comments from the vlive.
“That’s okay.” Minji states with a shrug and Bora decides to leave it at that.
For the remainder of the car ride, silence filled the air. Instead of talking, everyone was either taking a nap or listening to music with their headphones. You lay your head on Minji’s shoulder and your thoughts start to consume you. Knowing your fans, you knew that they were all talking about what happened during the vlive. While part of you wanted to check and see, you decided against it for now.
Eventually, you and the members arrived back at the dorms. You and Minji entered your shared dorm and got ready for bed. She got done before you did, so after a few minutes you joined her and lay next to her. You debated on whether or not you wanted to go on your phone and look at social media. The impulsive thoughts get the best of you and you decide to open twitter on your phone. You notice that both of your names are trending number one. The anxiety starts to hit as you realize just how many people were talking about the two of you.
“Look at this.” You blurt out in a worried tone and show your phone to Minji.
“What are people saying?” She asks and you open it. Despite the situation, she seemed pretty calm.
You both begin to read the tweets.
“BYE Y/N ACTUALLY KISSED HER BACK MSMSMSM”
“JIU REALLY DIDN’T HOLD BACK TONIGHT”
“I WAS THE ONE THAT COMMENTED FOR JIU TO KISS Y/N I DIDN’T THINK SHE WOULD ACTUALLY DO IT OMFG”
“OH BUT WHEN I SAID THAT I SHIP Y/N AND JIU I GOT CALLED DELULU???”
“I KNOW DEUKAE IS CHAOTIC AND ALL BUT NO PLATONIC FRIENDS DANCE WITH EACH OTHER LIKE THAT”
“JIU WAS SO CLINGY IN THAT VLIVE”
“I DON’T EVEN STAN DREAMCATCHER BUT I WILL NOW AFTER SEEING THOSE Y/N AND JIU CLIPS”
“BYE Y/N KISSED HER BACK”
There were tons and tons of tweets of the same nature along with many clips of the dancing you did with Minji and the two of you kissing. After looking through the tweets, the both of you look at each other in complete silence. Neither of you could believe how much of an impact that vlive made. After all, the other members do that kind of stuff with each other all the time so why were the two of you being singled out?
“You know what… maybe we should just go to sleep and deal with this tomorrow.” Minji suggests and you notice that she finally appears to be stressed.
“Yeah that's probably the best idea.” You agree with her, not wanting to think about the situation anymore.
Minji gives you a goodnight kiss and puts her arm around you to cuddle with you. She ends up falling asleep a lot faster than you do. You wish you could fall asleep like that but you had too much on your mind. Eventually the exhaustion kicks in and you drift off to sleep.
Your dreams last night were all over the place, the anxiety you had caused them all to be about the current situation. In one of the dreams, both of you had your contracts terminated and you were kicked out of the group. In another dream, you were allowed to stay in the group but the two of you along with the other members received lots of hate. When you woke up you wondered whether this would ruin your career and your life. Regardless, you knew that there was no running away and that you and Minji had to address it.
You look over at your girlfriend who is sleeping peacefully beside you and debate whether or not you should wake her up. You check the time and see that it is currently 7am, the two of you are supposed to be up in an hour and a half anyways.
“Babe…” You say in a soft tone while gently nudging Minji to wake her up. Her eyes begin to open slowly.
“Hmm?” She lets out, still half asleep.
“Do you think we should do something about it?” You ask Minji, who appears a little confused but quickly remembers what happened last night. You can tell by the way she is looking at you that she knows how anxious you are right now.
“If it would make you feel better then we can do it, but we should ask our manager first.” She states and you nod in agreement. “Are people still talking about it?” She asks and you pull out your phone to check.
You open twitter to see both of your names still trending along with the group and company name. Then you decide to open naver, where your names are also trending along with the word “dating.” Not only that, but there were tons of articles about the vlive and what the two of you did. While reading some of the headlines of the articles, your phone starts ringing.
“Who is it?” Minji asks curiously.
“Our manager.” You inform her and accept the call.
The manager starts off by asking questions about the vlive, to which you answered that you were both just messing around. Then you get asked if you are in a relationship with Minji, which causes you to hesitate. You look over at Minji who is nodding at you. You admit to the manager that you are dating and that you’re worried about the backlash that you and Minji might get. The manager tells you that at this point everyone knows so if you want to be the one to tell the fans, you can do so. You politely thank the manager and hang up.
“So how should we do it?” You ask your girlfriend with a sigh.
“We could do a quick vlive and tell the fans that way if you want.” Minji suggests.
“Yeah that’s probably our best option.” You agree and shift your gaze down to your fidgeting hands.
Despite the fact that everyone already knows, there was still something causing you to be worried deep down. Sure the fans would support the both of you, but the netizens would most likely tear you apart. Minji notices your nervousness and intertwines her hand with yours. You look up at her with slight fear in your eyes.
“Baby… what are you worried about?” She asks softly.
“I’m worried about how people are going to react.” You admit.
“Well, you know our fans won’t mind. Most of them are in the community themselves.” She says with a chuckle.
“Yeah I know.” You reply with a faint smile. “It’s not them that I’m worried about.” You add with a sigh.
“Then who? Netizens?” She questions.
“Yeah, they have a track record of being extremely judgemental and toxic.” You mention and she nods.
“I will say though... I haven’t seen any hate yet. Have you?” Minji asks, causing you to have a realization.
Out of all the tweets, comments, articles and everything else you have read so far, it was all positive or neutral. There were no hate comments or articles trying to attack either of you. While there are bound to be haters out there somewhere, the overwhelming positivity would just drown them out anyways.
“Let’s do it then.” You assert confidently.
With that statement, the two of you make your way over to the desk you shared and sit down. Minji grabs one of the company phones and opens the vlive app. After setting everything up, she makes eye contact with you.
“Are you sure you’re ready?” She questions in a concerned tone.
“Yes.” You reply without hesitation.
Minji shifts her gaze back down to the phone in her hand and pauses for a few seconds. Her finger hovers over the start button for a few seconds before tapping it. She props the phone up against the wall and grabs ahold of your hand. Both of you wait patiently for your fans to join. Upon seeing the two of you, the comments start flooding in.
“Hi guys.” Minji nervously greets.
This entire time she seemed to be the least worried, so you were surprised that she was so nervous all of a sudden. Since you were holding hands, you noticed her hand started to shake. You tighten your grip on her hand in an attempt to give her some support.
“To address the rumors…” Minji trails off and your heart starts racing.
Silence fills the room for a few seconds before you finally decide to speak up.
“We are dating.”
And with that, you felt relieved. A weight was lifted off of your shoulders.
Everything was going to be okay.

Love: Hi!! Idk If your taking requests but can your write a Dreamcatcher scenario where Jiu has a cute dream with 8th member reader and she can’t stop thinking about it until she realizes her true feeling? Fluff and happy ending plzz
A/n: I took a little but of a different turn, hopefully this is okay for you love, if not you can ask me to remake it, I gladly would!
Tumblr media
Minji found herself washing the dishes, before feeling arms wrap around her waist, a smile already forming on her lips when she inhaled the familiar scent, leaning her head on the person’s own behind her.
She felt a warm pair of lips touch her cheek, followed by resounding giggles, the hand on her waist getting tighter as the person pressed herself closer to Minji,
"Do you need anything?" she asked, hearing the person hum before feeling their head shake,
"Nothing much, love, I just miss you."
‘Love,’ The nickname always made the older girl sigh, a warm sensation fluttering in her stomach as she heard it. Something about it made her happy, content that she was hearing it from the person she loves.
Minji chuckled, finishing the last plate and putting it away, drying her hands on the cloth. Afterwards, she placed her hand on top of the one on her waist, turning to face the culprit of the joyous smile on the leader's face.
"Why are you so cute, Y/n?" She earned a smile at the mention of your name, your eyes locking to her own before you cupped her cheeks. Minji relished the warmth that you spread to her, leaning against your palm, the distance slowly closing.
Minji could feel her heart pounding against her chest as the space gradually closed, and as her eyes closed, she was startled by a loud bang.
Minji jumped up and looked around, confusion written on her face as she tried to adjust to the situation. Rubbing her eyes, she focused on the person standing by the door, recognizing Handong.
"Unnie, time to eat breakfast," the younger called, making the other girl shake her head, nodding as she rubbed her eyes. Still shaken from her apparent dream.
It seemed so real to Minji, actually imagining herself in the same situation with her members.
It could be because you two were usually sweet with each other, oftentimes being shipped together because of your sweet and caring personalities, or it was already a feeling Minji has developed over the past few months.
Most would assume it would be the latter, but the leader knew her feelings well.
At least that’s what she thought.
Joining the others in the kitchen, Minji found her seat, everyone giving thanks before they ate. Normally, Minji would start off the conversation, though this time she kept silent, living in her own world as the rest started to talk.
She shifted her gaze away from the plate to side-eye your form, and seeing you smile and laugh while speaking with Bora made her entire body tingle. Observing your features.
The way your eyes would turn into crescents when you laughed, the dimples that would appear on your cheek while you smiled, the way our laugh made everyone else giggle.
Your energy was so positive it was hard for anyone to not radiate the same energy too. It was a clear representation of what happiness can be like in a physical form.
"Jiu unnie?" You called out for the older girl, seeing the way she flinched when you tapped her shoulder, shaking her head as she looked up and smiled, "Sorry, what was that?"
You clicked your tongue on the roof of your mouth, "Ah unnie, you’re getting too lost in my eyes again," you teased, earning laughs from your members while the older girl lowered her head to hide the blush on her cheeks.
While everyone teased the older, you made sure to place a hand on the lower back of your leader, ensuring she didn't have a bad start to her day.
Though even with the simple action, Minji’s blush worsened, the situation from earlier reflected in her head.
After breakfast, everyone went back to their respective activities, with half of the members sleeping and the other half spending the day off watching TV and using their phones.
Minji was busy in her room, playing with Cherry as the dog barked, enjoying the company of its owner. Which they spent throwing a ball around the room until Minji laid in bed, sighing as she closed her eyes.
She couldn’t stop thinking about it, even though she tried to forget about it, the situation never left her head. The absurdity of her mind creating the situation with the younger member was shocking to her.
She’d never once got into a situation where she dreamed about her members, at least not that type of situation. But deep down she did think about it. The thought of you two being that close appealed to Minji.
She always wanted that feeling, the feeling to be taken care of, the domestic type of feeling where you would feel butterflies in your stomach all the time.
In that dream was everything. In that short amount of time, she felt happy, content, and almost too comfortable seeing you with her. Like her whole body yearned for it.
As the leader kept her eyes closed, the room door opened. Minji paid no mind, knowing it was Siyeon.
However, when she felt the bed dip along with arms wrapping around her waist, she opened her eyes, meeting your smiling face as you pushed your head into the crook of her neck. Minji, as if automatically, wrapped her arms around your waist, pulling you closer and closed her eyes.
This was a routine for the two of you; almost every night, or whenever you had a break, you found yourself in the older's bed. Squishing yourself against her neck as you cuddle.
Minji would always let you hug her, whether it was because you needed company while sleeping or because you wanted to cling to the leader. She always thought it was because she took care of you ever since you were added to the group.
Because of the years you've spent together, you've developed a habit of clinging to her.
As Minji closed her eyes, she sighed, cradling your head in her arms, letting her thoughts be empty as she slept, comfortable in the position, while the butterflies fluttered continuously in her stomach.
--
The leader went down the hall, holding your hand while your group followed your manager, making sure to avoid the staff and bow to the other idols who were heading the opposite way. Your group just finished performing in Inkigayo, now it was back to the dorm for the rest of the afternoon.
You swung your hands together, a smile on your face as you walked down the hall. You resemble somewhat of a child, happily walking down while she held her mother’s hand, smiling brightly while you clung to your leader.
Minji was busy talking to Yoohyeon, though keeping your hand tight on her own. She tried to distract herself because for the past few weeks, there was nothing except you running in her mind.
Day after day, Minji would think about you, still the same dream and situation in her mind. She tried to think about it, force it out of her head, but eventually it became too big to handle, so now she only embraced it, knowing if she held it out any longer she was going to go crazy.
She was so busy talking to Yoohyeon that she didn’t notice your smile fading, failing to get her attention. You tried swinging her arms more, rubbing the back of your thumb on her hand, and even shaking her hand, but the older one was too preoccupied.
So with a huff, you let go of her hand. Walking faster and stopping with Yubin, locking your arm with your roommate who threw you a kind smile.
Minji only noticed when she got to the van, finding you already inside with the rapper, a small pout on her face when you didn’t even look at her. Did she do something wrong?
When they got back to the dorm, Minji still didn’t get a word from you. Watching as you went inside towards your room after announcing that you were gonna take a shower.
The older girl didn’t take it as a big deal at first, only believing that she was overthinking, but it was already late in the night and you still weren’t approaching your leader.
You weren’t as clingy as usual, and when she would call you, Minji only got short responses. During dinner, when you would usually sit beside the older person, you opted to sit next to your roommate this time.
It took Minji a few hours of contemplating, her conscience not feeling the best at the thought of her doing something to upset you.
With her mind thinking of nothing but you, she padded to your shared room, knocking briefly as she entered, seeing the rapper on the top bunk as she read. The older girl heard the shower running, taking the opportunity to get you alone to talk privately,
"Yubin-ah, can I talk to Y/n, alone?" she asked, pulling away from the younger girl, who nodded politely, not questioning the older girl and hopped off her bed.
Bringing her book along before showing the leader a kind smile, as if to say good luck. She took a seat on your bed, waiting as she tried to keep her nerves in check, hands fidgeting because of her nervousness.
When she heard the water stop, followed by the door opening, her breath hitched, waiting until you came out, drying your hair before noticing the older girl on your bed. You didn’t look at Minji, only putting away your clothes as the older girl pouted again,
"Y/n," she called, watching your back as you ignored the older girl, calling you several times yet never once answering or looking at her.
"I'm sorry, if I did something wrong, you know I wouldn't do it on purpose, Y/n," her tone softened, causing you to pause in your actions as you heard her, "Could you tell me what I could do to make it better?" she asked, sighing when she didn't get a reply.
She moved to stand and leave, though your words cut the older from doing anything,
"Am I unlovable, unnie?" The question surprised Minji, given the abrupt topic that she was struggling with as well,
"What do you mean, of course not," she answered simply, making you turn around to face Minji, concern spreading through her eyes when she saw the tears streaming down your face.
"Hey, what’s wrong?" She stood up, quickly cupping your cheeks and wiping away your tears.
You sniffled, pouting before you closed your eyes and breathed in harshly, "If I’m so lovable, then why can’t you love me back?"
You felt her hands stiffen on your face, eyes widening as Minji struggled to comprehend the words that came out of your mouth, "W-what did you say?" She stuttered,
"I kept trying, again and again to make you notice me. I get your attention every day, do sweet things with you, be clingy so you can feel a small amount of my affection for you... that you're more than just an unnie for me. I love you Jiu, "
A hot blush settled against Minji’s face when she absorbed each word of what you said, her insides suddenly celebrating, exploding in a mix of euphoria and excitement, the butterflies going wild as they fluttered in the walls of her stomach.
While Minji was too busy celebrating internally, you were still crying, nervous that Minji would be mad. Scared of losing the friendship that you both had, was it a mistake that you told her too early? What if she left? Ignored you, or started to hate you?
The thoughts of insecurity made you feel heavier, tears streaming down at an alarming rate as sobs started to escape past your lips.
The older girl was only breaking out of her joy induced coma when she felt your tears streaming down her hand, Minji blinked, focusing on your face as she wiped your tears before pulling you closer to her. Pressing your lips together as a gasp escaped your lips.
Minji made sure that she placed all her feelings into the kiss, making you know how much you’ve been inside her head, the countless hours Minji spent awake, thinking about the feelings of you being in her arms, having a relationship, a connection bigger than just friends, something a lot closer than siblings.
Minji will always keep you close, from this day on, until the end.
She’s seen what you could be like together, may it be in her dreams, or a vision of what was to come. She was excited because both of you are going to make it through, together.
"I love you too, Y/n."

Dreamcatcher reaction of their S/O doing the BEcause choreography
A\N: Hey friend! I hope you enjoy
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
Her smile was already bright when she heard the song playing
But when she saw that you were also dancing to it? Beaming
Her hands shot up to her mouth to stop her surprised laughter
Eyes practically sparkling as she watched your hesitant movements
She could tell right off the bat that you had been practicing for quite a while
Sweat was clinging to your clothes and your movements already had the foundation of the dance
And then she practically melted when you began singing along to her parts while you danced
Her voice harmonising with yours and making you jolt in shock
How long had she been standing there??
Before embarrassment could take over Minji was sweeping you into her arms and showering you with praise
"Did you want to become one of our back-up dancers?"
Tumblr media
Bora's eyes couldn't be wider when she came across you doing the choreo
She didn't stand there for long, though
Immediately coming to your side and joining in before taking your hand and leading you through some improvised moves
Your laughter was bright as she span you, drawing you right into her chest and refusing to let go
"You wanted to learn our dance? You could've just came to me."
Would then begin guiding through the small and easily missed movements that she had noticed you struggling with
Bora is a fun but passionate teacher
Mixing in both playfulness and seriousness
You loved each and every moment
And by the end you were confident with the dance, and even more in love with it's teacher
Tumblr media
Siyeon caught you just as Gahyeon's first part came on
And the dance move that occompanied it had her eyes following the movment in. . . awe
You made it look so smooth and clean that she couldn't NOT be impressed
She began singing along right after, her nose crinkled in delight as you sucked in a breath before turning to face her
Her laughter was ecstatic at your 'deer caught in the headlights' look
But you were quick to join in after realising what just happened
And before you knew it she was glued to you back with her hands on your hips
"Show me how it goes again?"
"Siyeon. . . This is literally the dance to your song."
"I know, I'm just making sure that you did it right."
She would not stop flirting with you for the rest of it
Tumblr media
To be precise: her laughter
You heard Yoohyeon before you saw her
You had just attempted to do her lift in the song but as you didn't actually have anyone to lift you it was more of an awkward jump
And Yoohyeon saw it all
Her laughter was too contagious not to follow along, as you could only picture how you looked during the moment
She would tease you endlessly about it
But inside she had already melted at how concentrated you looked
The fact you wanted to learn the dance in the first place just made her entire heart soar
Being the professional idol that she is, though, she couldn't help but to join in
"Accidentally" bumping into you a few times as you danced
Tumblr media
Her phone was immediately out and recording you so she could replay it to herself later or when she needed a boost
Handong had not been expecting this when she returned to your apartment
Your laptop was running with BEcause blasting from it's speakers
And there was you, standing in front of it and dancing with such fierce movements that she was left in complete wonder
On the outside she could be mistaken for a statue, but on the inside her heart was pounding
The fact you loved their song enough to learn it's choreo? It just. . . Destroyed her. In a good way
She didn't think it was possible to love you any more but here you were once again proving her wrong
When the song ended and you came to a standstill she began clapping
Of course it surprised you but you laughed it off with a cute little bow
"Did you enjoy the show?"
"Already waiting for the tickets to go to the next one."
Tumblr media
Yubin was all tender smiles as soon as she realised what was going on
Your movements were almost perfect
But even if they weren't Yubin was extremely touched that you were trying in the first place
Unlike Bora she wouldn't barge in to help but ask if you wanted it instead
Of course you would say yes because dancing with Dami sounds like a absolute dream
You would get wild during her rap, throwing out your arms and legs in ways that completely stood out from her verse
She would cover her eyes in faux-embarrassment
But on the inside she's giddy and laughing at the fact you're having so much fun
Tumblr media
"You're dancing!?"
Gahyeon isn't the silent surprised type thats for sure
She just couldn't hold it in
You were dancing the same moves that she performs on stage!
And you looked incredible doing it too!
She would be fumbling with the phone in her pocket and encouraging you to go again so she could record the whole thing
(Would definitely be sending it to the group chat just so she could brag about it.)
The second time you would definitely be laughing
Mainly because Gahyeon is loudly cheering you on at the sidelines
You definitely drag her in to join you

Day 134
Look at my family.
My mind sometimes likes to play and pretends to be a camera, it goes through life slowing moments down around me, allowing me to bask in the emotions that they gift me. And then it stores them, there in my fondest memories. I have a lot of them to choose from when my thoughts get dark, the light they emanate is enough to shut the whispers in my mind.
The warm embrace of my members is one that comes very often, but it was that night around four months ago that I first felt like someone really loved me. But do they really? And I try not to look back from that. Or do I?
The sun was high in the sky, a warm and welcoming spotlight that followed us through your late winter promotions, the chilly winds still rattled the thin hair in your forearms, but there was no more snow falling from the sky. The windows in the van didn’t fog like before and you could watch little flowers sprout all over the city as spring felt closer and closer.
Your favorite song was blasting through your right earpod, while the other ear enjoyed the background noise of Yoohyeon and Bora bickering in the seats in front of you. Yubin sat by your side, ignoring all reality happening before her while playing a game on her phone.
A light chuckle escaped your lips when you caught a glimpse of SuA tossing what could have been a sock to Yoohyeon, hitting her straight in the face. The latter just turned around, dumbfounded as Bora’s sudden laugh even managed to make Yubin raise her view to her. She then turned her head towards you, her eyes asking for an explanation. You didn’t play attention to the reason why, so you could only offer her back an affiliative smile and a shrug. It seemed to be enough for her, since these two always going at each other every single day was a good source of entertainment.
Your eyes travelled outside, discovering that you were already at your destiny. The fansign venue was already surrounded by a long line of eager fans waiting for you, and as soon one spotted the van, they all turned around to wave at you. Except for one guy that stood out for you from the others for not matching the excitement around him. All dressed in black, the hoodie covering up half of his face.
They’re still here, and they won’t go until you go down with them.
A sudden chill went down your spine, just as every time that you had to encounter an audience face to face, but shaking your head, you were quick to shut it down as the rest of the fans excited smiles and screams muffled behind the window drew a smile on your face, one that you didn’t get that often.
The car stopped it’s movement just behind the venue and the door opened, letting all unfiltered light into your eyes. Yoohyeon and Bora got out of the van and then the manager helped you and Yubin out too. As soon as your feet touched the ground, you felt an arm intertwined with yours, pulling you closer.
“Y/n!” Bora’s voice boomed as you identified her by your side. “If… Let’s say, you hypothetically had a favorite Unnie, who would that be?”
You stared at her trying to analyse what the best answer to that question could be, you loved all your members equally, but something in her voice told you that the question had a tricky part that she wasn’t telling you about.
Your suspicions were confirmed when you raised your view, Yoohyeon shaking her head at the scene before her.
“It’s probably Handong-unnie.” You answered nonchalantly.
“Y/n-yah!” Bora let go and slapped your arm playfully, pouting her lips. “You were supposed to say me! Alright then. Yubin!-”
“Mine’s Minji.” She answered without letting the older even breathe.
“Ah!” Bora whined, cutely hoping in her place. “Why am I no one’s favorite?! That’s not fair!”
“Maybe because you jump in my bed when I’m trying to sleep?” Yoohyeon added.
“Or because you belt in my ear to scare me when I try to read?” Yubin scoffed.
“Or…” You thought of something to add, but Bora hadn’t been anything but loving to you most of the time. Yes, her way of showing love was sometimes super clingy and loud but, you loved her that way, so you couldn’t really come with a better excuse. “Or maybe because you’re just not Dongie-Unnie.”
She deadpanned towards you, crossing her arms over her chest.
“At this rate I’ll never win the bet against Minji,” She sighed. She turned around, just when the other van was pulling up behind yours. Her eyes lit up, as she ran towards it. “Gahyeon-ah!!”
The three of you laughed out loud, shaking your heads at the occurrences of your older member. You walked towards the entrance of the building together, your laugh still dying down when you heard Gahyeon mumble in the distance followed by Bora’s loud whine.
“I hope Minji gives us our part of whatever she bet against her,” Yoohyeon chuckled, holding the door open as you entered the building.
We walked towards a large room with some couches and chairs, a table full of snacks and a wall entirely made of mirrors. Even decorated with some of your comeback posters on the other walls.
You walked towards the table, scanning carefully the snack offerings over it. Amongst some chocolate bars, caramels and beverages, you grabbed a bag of chips to snack as you waited to go outside.
“Good news everyone!” Minji entered the room with her arms wide open, a huge grin on her face. “Today’s dinner is on Bora!”
The seven of you cheered loudly as the latter just pouted, her arms still crossed and her eyebrows furrowed and plunged into a couch near you. You decided to come approach her, taking the seat besides her. You snacked on your bag of chips silently when you decided to turn to Bora and offer her some, she accepted them as she grumbled under her breath. The sight made you chuckle, seeing the most enthusiast member of your group all moody over a bet, but as the seconds passed, you started missing her energetic spirit.
“Unnie…” You leaned over to her, sweetening your voice. “If you buy tteokbokki, I promise you’ll become my favorite.”
She snapped her head towards you,her eyes squinting with suspicion and temptation to your offer. You smiled at her in the most innocent way that you could, bringing out your puppy eyes which you knew she couldn’t resist.
“Ah fine,” She cupped your cheeks with her hands, pinching your cheeks. The sudden gesture that prompted you to drop your mask, trying hard to get off her grip. “Just because you are my favorite maknae, even if you broke my heart in a million pieces. Just don’t tell the others.”
“I won’t, I promise.” Your voice muffled by the pressure that her hands were applying to your cheeks. You raised your hand, painting at her hands over your face “Can you… let go?”
“Never.” She released your face, but you didn’t get to savor freedom for long since she wrapped her body around yours, cuddling into you.
A sudden blush invaded your cheeks, softening your pride. You let yourself cuddle into Bora, while a smile kept growing in your face.
And then, time slowed down as you let your eyes wander through the space. Minji and Siyeon are laughing in the corner, the white walls reflecting in the sparks in their eyes. Gahyeon and Yoohyeon bickering around Handong, but the oldest of them just smirked at the probably childish discussion they had going on. Yubin was silently existing by my side on the couch, reading what seemed like her hundredth book in the month. You still didn’t know how she managed to do it with all the activities of the comeback. And then there was Bora, cuddled in her arms, making you feel like you were protected from everything in the world.
You sighed, savoring the emotions in the moment, your heart warming up at the sight of the best family that the world was able to give you ever.
But, are you really sure that you deserve all of this? After all you made them go through?
Thankfully, the voice in your mind was broken when a manager opened the door, calling everyone out to the stage to start the fansign.
You stood up from the couch, as you felt your body shaking nervously. This being your first fansign since the last comeback, and the “incident”. That’s how you and the members preferred calling it without inviting back unwanted feelings and memories.
They were quick to notice your nerves and approach to surround you in that familiar and safety blanket that they were all so used to being part of. Shanking your head, you released a shaky breath out of your lips and nodded, the girls taking the sign to move forward.
You could hear the deafening cheers of Insomnias from the other side of the hallway, as your heart ramped up it’s speed. Unsure if that was nerves or excitement, you wrapped the first hand that you could, that being Siyeon’s.
“Hey,” She turned around, offering you a conforming smile. “We’ve got your back, you’ll be okay Y/n.”
You nodded, leaning into her shoulder as you kept walking towards the main stage where your fans were already waiting for you. The door to the stage opened, making the shouts from Insomnia even louder. Your table with eight chairs and a bottle of water was already waiting for you too. The staff handed you each one microphone as you crossed the door.
The bright lights of the auditorium blinded you as you made your way into the stage, cheers cramming your ears. It took a few seconds for your senses to get used to all the sudden stimulation, but once they did, you were greeted with your fans waving and smiling at you.
You smiled back at them, offering them finger hearts and flying kisses. The clics from the fansites cameras refuse to cease, as you greeted your few acquaintances that sat between the audience. But as your eyes scanned around, you landed on that same man that you spot outside. With his hoodie still over his face, he wasn’t jumping up and down or smiling like the rest of the people around him. All you could see was a faint smirk in the shadow, as he slowly clapped to match the rest of the people.
“Let’s introduce ourselves!” You heard Minji clap to get the attention of the group, and you quickly stood in a straight line facing your audience. “One, two-”
“Dream of me! Hello, we are Dreamcatcher!” All of you chorused together, pumping up your fans even more. Each one of them introduced themselves, one after the other. Gahyeon was last, and everyone remained silent.
“Hello! It’s Y/n!” You cheered through your microphone. The audience exploded louder than before. Even hearing some ‘We’ve missed you!’ and other ‘Insomnia loves you!’. You turned to your members, to find them all grinning widely at you, which made you blush intensely.
But then again, your eyes had to land on that one unenergetic guy in the audience, still with the same grin and slowly clapping in his seat.
Maybe they didn’t really miss you, maybe the group was better when you were gone.
You shook your head, trying to get the thought out of your head. But it kept nagging in there. Trying to talk, your lips parted as words got up your throat but never past your lips. You didn’t realize how shaky your hand was until you felt Yoohyeon’s trying to get a grip of it.
Closing your eyes and letting her hand embrace yours, you took a deep breath, and finally the last thought got foggy enough to let you talk.
“It’s good to see you all again!” You stammered through the microphone, earning the cheers of the room, even your members.
After some light chat between everyone sat at their places as the staff helped Insomias line up, they eagerly smiled, excited as they waited for their turn to go up and talk to all of you. Minji, who sat by your side, placed her hand over yours and only her glance and smile was enough to make you feel safe.
Each one of the fans that talked to you beamed with light and joy, filling your table with so many gifts and letters that you wished you could give them back something more than just your signature.
A cute, young little girl came hopping to your place holding her album in hand, carrying a very particular gift with her. A bag of chips that you hadn’t eaten since… since the day you returned home after the incident. After saying hello and quickly signing the album, she rushed into conversation with you, something you didn’t mind cause you were extremely curious about her gift.
“My grandpa remembered that you liked this type of chips,” The girl extended the gift to you, taking them with delivered surprise as your eyes scanned them. “He wanted me to tell you that he hopes you’re doing good and that he’s proud of you!”
“Wait, how did he know it was me?” You chuckled, apparently being grubby, behind a bucket hat, a baggy sweatshirt and lowering your voice was not enough to hide yourself.
“He says it was intuition. Or maybe just your voice.” The girl giggled nervously. “But when he came home that night, he told me that everything was going to be okay, that you were alright. I trust him.”
“He did help me a lot that day, your grandpa is a great man.” Your talking minute was running out, so you reached across the table and put your hands on her, offering her a warm smile. “Always be kind to everyone, who knows where I would be right now if it wasn’t for the kindness of your grandpa.”
“I will always be Unnie!” The girl squealed in happiness as she moved to the next seat to talk with Minji.
“Say hi to him!” You added last minute and she nodded before turning to take care of the fan now in front of you.
More and more gifts started milling up around you, even flower bouquets adorned your surroundings and the rest of DreamCatcher, the managers walking around and taking some of them away from you to store backstage so the entire table wouldn’t end up engulfed in gifts.
You were so into the fansign, talking to all your lovely Insomnias, that you didn’t notice beforehand about the one thing that unnerved you. Turning around to face the fan in front of you, there he stood, the ominous hooded guy.
You tried greeting him with the same enthusiasm as the rest of your fans, but you were taken aback when instead of the usual cheery and giggle response, he just muttered a nonchalant ‘hi’ back at you.
You took his album, searching for the note with your name on it to know exactly where to sign. Finding it, you flicked to that page, but a cold chill traveled down your spine when you opened it.
Your pictures were scratched, painted and splattered over in a dark, thick, red tint. And over it, scribed in big black letters over everything, it read:
‘DreamCatcher will always be 7’
Told you
“Wha-?”
You heard a clock that snapped your head up. Facing a gun pointed straight at you.
They’re going down and taking you down with them. One last time.
And then time stopped. A cold drop of sweat travelled down your spine, as a knot tightened in your throat. Your eyes wandered around, a hundred smiles completely oblivious to the sight right in front of you. All that was left was to close your eyes, hoping everything to be quick and painless.
“Y/N!”
You heard your name be screamed just before a loud bang, returning you to this existential plane. But when your eyes shot open, you found yourself hitting the floor with your shoulder.
A cacophony of screams and people in plain panic ensued, the hooded man was tackled into the ground, and people ran left and right unsure on where to run away.
You tried getting up to get a better view of everything happening on the other side of the table, but a sharp burning bolt of pain travelling your body all the way from your shoulder pinned you down in your place. You turned to it, your entire sleeve covered in a red, thick and warm liquid. Your arm limped, only hanging from your increased numbing shoulder. The tingle in the tip of your fingers increased and travelled through your palm as you stared in horror, as the puddle of blood extended through all your outfit.
“We need an ambulance!” You heard one of your managers shout from one side of the venue, as the noise in the auditorium got more and more muffled to your ears.
“Y/N!” Minji’s shadow covered the light above you as she approached, her heavy breathing and shaky voice calling your name over and over under her breath as she kneeled by your side. “Gosh, no, no”
“What’s going on?” You cried, barely any noise coming out of your mouth. Using your remaining strength, you reached with your hand towards your members, who urgently surrounded you. Along with other managers who moved fast around you, discussing stuff that you weren't able to hear anymore.
“We need to stop the bleeding, NOW!” Yubin commanded, looking around the place for something to surround your injury tightly around, Siyeon and Handong following closely behind her.
“Please don’t leave me,” As your eyes flooded with tears, you somehow managed to crawl into Minji’s lap, “Please.”
“Never, Y/n-” Her eyes full of tears as well, hold you close, not minding getting stained by the red liquid that surrounded you by now.
Painfully, you turned your head to watch around. Gahyeon and Bora were bawling their eyes out between each other's eyes, Yoohyeon kneeling beside Minji in an effort of calming down both of them.
“Here!” Handong came back with a large piece of cloth, quickly kneeling besides you and fasting it up tightly around your arm and shoulder with the help of Siyeon and Yubin. Minji was refusing to drop her hold on you.
“Unnie, I’m so sorry” Your throat stinged at the words, dried up of the tears that came non stop through your eyes. “I’m so sorry about everything.”
Your vision started fogging up, as you barely heard a siren outside, followed by the main door being pushed open, and voices of various people approaching. Fighting to keep your eyes, you wrapped one of your member's clothes with the remaining strength left in your body.
“Stay with us, please.” Siyeon’s voice was distant, but your eyes caught her lips moving as the words entered your brain. “Stay.”
But you couldn’t stop fighting against the weight of your eyelids. The noise surrounding you shut up completely, and the shadows that surrounded you were swallowed by complete darkness.

Day 135
I know they’re here. I can hear them sometimes, but they can’t hear me. How much time do you think they’ll keep up with you? Please don’t leave me. Please.
Bora’s fingers traveled up and down your static hand with a gentleness that could put anyone to sleep. But this time it was the other way around. Surrounded by tubes full of unknown liquid flowing into your body, metal structures that seemed to keep the room’s gray walls from falling apart and the rattling but thankfully constant beeping of your heart monitor, everything she wished was for you to wake up.
Handong lay asleep across the couch on the other side of the bed, with only a weighted blanket covering her body from the chilly air circling the room, her head resting on the also asleep Yoohyeon who covered herself with around three thick jackets. The three of them volunteered to take the night watch in the hospital, replacing Minji and Yubin who refused to leave the hospital as you were received in the emergency room and stood by your side for the entirety of the first day. The managers insisted all of them to stay back at their dorm, but were quickly cut off by every girl, standing their ground on never letting you go again.
The first rays of sun peeked through the shades over the window, bringing a dim but warm light into the room with them. Bora’s tired eyes raised to watch the faint silhouette of the sunset through them. A knock on the door made her snap her head towards it, waking up the other two girls in the process.
“Come in?” Handong groggily whispered while standing up straight on the couch, rubbing her eyes.
The heavy door opened, revealing the other four members' tired faces behind it.
“How was your night?” Minji entered the room, hands deep in her pockets as she approached the feet of the bed, staring up and down at your weakened body laying before her. “Did you get some rest?”
The three girls already in the room shook their heads in unison, with Yoohyeon even burying her face between her hands.
“I never thought that a place so silent could be so…” She whispered, her eyes wandering all over the room, unfocused. “Restless.”
“There wasn’t much sleep at the dorm either.” Gahyeon added, sitting besides Bora as she carefully took a strand of hair away from your seemingly sleeping face.
“We brought you some coffee…” Siyeon handed their drinks to Yoohyeon, Handong and Bora before sitting in a chair on the other corner of the room. “I hope it at least helps you stay awake”
“Any news?” Yubin closed the door behind her, laying against the wall. Crossing her arms as she scanned the room with her eyes.
“Well,” Bora stretched her arms, standing up from her chair as she kept stretching her entire body in the process. “The doctor said that everything is stable, all vital organs are okay and that Y/n will only need some rehabilitation in her arm and shoulder. So, she’ll be fine.”
Everyone let out a deep sigh of relief, as Gahyeon leaned down to leave a kiss on your temple, a fair smile crossing her lips.
“I’m sorry we couldn’t protect you enough.” Gahyeon whispered to you as she rested her head over her hands on the edge of the bed.
“But it shouldn’t be our responsibility to have to go around being careful and trying not to get killed,” Yubin scoffed as she paraded around the room. “That’s just sick.”
“I’m glad they caught that bastard.” Siyeon snapped. “And I hope he rots in the deepest rings of hell that disgusting son of a-”
“Siyeon, the kids!” Minji covered Gahyeon’s ears as she covered yours. Her expression softened for a second, twisting her lips in agreement. “But you do raise a very valid point.”
Minji let Gahyeon’s ears go slowly and cautiously, in case any of the older girls decided lo let their dirty tongue roam free again.
“But what I still don’t understand,” Yoohyeon rested her head over her knuckles, as she leaned forward over the edge of the couch. “How can there be people who still don’t want her in the group?”
“We will never make everyone happy,” Handong responded. “I wouldn’t be surprised if there was someone out there who still thinks you should have stayed with the Minx concept.”
The audible groans of Yoohyeon, Minji, Bora, Siyeon and Yubin filled the entire room, facepalms, shrinked shoulders, rolled eyes, their mouths hissing and lips twisting in a physically painful display of a cringy memory flooding their minds. The image encouraged a chuckle out of Gahyeon and Handong, who enjoyed teasing the others with their past.
“While I understood your point perfectly,” Yubin's unimpressed muffled voice stuttered. “there was absolutely no need to take it that far, thank you.”
“But she’s right,” Siyeon pointed out. “There’s people who don’t agree with us, but we now know there’s more people that actually like Y/n a lot! And, if she still wants to be in the group with us after all this, whoever doesn’t agree can walk through the door and never come back.”
“If she wants to be in the group?” Gahyeon glanced back at Siyeon, perplexed.
“Y/n’s been through a lot already,” Bora added. “Even though we love her, we wouldn’t force her to stay if she doesn’t want to.”
“And if she wants to go back home,” Siyeon continued. “We’ll respect her decision too.”
The atmosphere around the room got tense. Everyone understood and agreed perfectly, but it didn’t mean that they wouldn’t miss you if you decided to leave the group.
“Do you know when her family will come? The manager told us they were trying to contact them.” Yoohyeon asked the other girls, trying to break the awkward silence. “Maybe we’ll finally get to meet them”
“They won’t be coming.” Minji shook her head, resting her hands on the footboard of the bed.
“Are they foreigners or something?” Handong leaned her head, curious at the leader’s response. “We could help them fly here if they want to-”
“No, yesterday the managers finally told me the reason Y/n never really talks about her family, and I think it’s time all of you know.” She sighed, raising her head and placing herself somewhere where everyone could see and hear her clearly. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes to focus. “Y/n doesn’t really know her family.”
“What do you mean she doesn’t know her family?” Siyeon eyebrows furrowed, trying to understand the oldest’s words.
“According to what I was told yesterday, she knows she had a family. But ever since she was a little child she had been jumping from foster home to foster home, until she became a trainee later.” Minji nodded, her lips forming a straight line as she got immersed in her own thoughts. Shaking them aside when she felt the pressure of the silence and the looks of the girls over her, she continued talking. “The staff was the one taking care of her after that and up until she debuted with us.”
“So, it’s almost as she doesn’t have a family.” Gahyeon trembled.
The stillness in the air became even more heavy over everyone’s shoulders now that it dawned on them the reality of the situation.
The sun now fully out of the horizon peaked through the window, illuminating the room with its warmth and hopeful brightness. Almost like a sign from the universe, a ray of light rested amicable over your peaceful, sleeping face.
Bora placed her hand over yours, caressing it gently with her thumb. After a few minutes of slumberous and wary silence, like a spotlight calling to her to raise her eyes, she scanned around the room, a delicate smile making its way to her lips as she came to a realization.
“Y/n does have a family.” Bora whispered, making all the girls raise their faces in confusion. One by one, as they locked their eyes with the other girls understood exactly what Bora was talking about, bringing kind grins into their faces.
As some happy tears started escaping some of the girls eyes, it dawned on them all your adventures together. All the hard and the pretty times, how everyone loved each other and accepted their highs and their lows. How every single one of them understood perfectly that blood is not what makes a family, but the unconditional love and support that all parts have for each other. Whatever you had going on in between, that was a family.
“She has us.” Yoohyeon nodded, posing her sight on your resting body.
Swallowed sobs reigned the air until a soft hum stood out. Like a ritual that you all had together now, Yubin’s gentle singing filled the air, the other girls recognizing the song immediately. Your song. One by one the other girls joined her, harmoniously swelling their surroundings with a much needed drop of hope for their soul. As the song continued, each one of them cuddled towards each other, seeking the warmth and comfort of their arms. A silent promise to deliver this and so much more to you for the rest of your lives.
The song was arriving to their end, as silence once again reigned the room when a sigh from the leader broke through.
“We’ll be here for Y/n, all the time she wants us to be by her side.” Minji flicked away a tear from her eye, nodding at her beautiful family around her.

Day 136
I’m still here, and I’m not going anywhere. As long as you live I’ll always be right behind you. I have so much left to give, just let me prove it.
A black canvas, covered in bright, sparkling freckles swallowed the sky, the horizon and the floor beneath you. The plain sound of your shaky breath echoed into eternity in every direction as you watched your feet walking on air. One step, two steps. Covered in a fair white robe, you felt the breeze dancing around you, but your skin didn’t perceive any cold from it, instead being embraced in a warm coating, from head to toe. Three steps, four steps. The stars around you didn’t seem to come closer or any farther as you kept advancing, but they all seemed to beat together at a constant beeping rhythm. Five steps.
A pair of bare feet met yours in a perfect reflection, and as you slowly raised your eyes. Whoever was standing right in front of you was wearing the exact same white robe as you, moved their hands the same way, breathed the same way… looked the same.
Standing right in front of a perfect reflection of yourself, you raised your hand towards your shoulder, pulling down the gown from it. Your reflection followed precisely, revealing your clean and well skin under. A relieved breath escaped your lips a little too soon, as quickly, a dark spot surged under your reflection's hand, spreading all over it’s arm, hand and chest.
You leaped behind startled but your reflection didn’t follow through, instead, it started stomping towards you, as the darkness climbed all the way to it’s face. Your hand frantically searched for your shoulder, but there was nothing over yours.
“Who are you!?” You pleaded, running backwards to keep your distance with the impostor.
“Don’t you recognize me Y/n?” Your reflection's voice gritted through the air as a crooked smile was painted in it’s lips. “It’s me, the real you.”
“No, no you are not.” You gasped back, with a hit of doubt that didn’t go unnoticed by the entity in front of you.
“You see? Not even you know who you are.” The reflection reached it’s completely darkened hand towards you, inviting you closer. “Then what makes you think I can’t be you?”
“I-” You stuttered, the never ending starry void where you kept running away also allowed this creature to stay mere inches away from you, no matter how much you seemed to pull yourself far away from it. “Please go away.”
“You know I never will,” It tilted it’s head, sneering back. “Everyone around you has never loved you enough to stay, but I’ll be the only one faithfull by your side forever.”
It didn’t have to hit so low, but there was this little spark burning inside you that kept you up on your feet to keep running, to keep fighting. Through the sting in your eyes, you watched the stars start beeping at a faster rate, ready to try one more time.
“They haven’t left me yet,” You fired back. Your reflection glitched it’s presence before letting out an evil chuckle that echoed through the void.
“But you already know they will!” It scoffed, halting its steps. “Then why wait for it to hurt even more?”
“Because they waited for me.”
All signs of fun were erased from your reflection's face, letting you breath out for a second. But a disgusted smirk plastered across its face as it turned itself into someone else. The wide and gentle smile, her arms that always welcomed you in and her brown eyes that always made you feel safe.
“Minji Unnie?...” You gasped.
“And once again, you come in and ruin absolutely everything for us.” The voice was on point, making you trip over your feet and fall down in surprise. “It would have been best if you d-”
“I heard her! She said my name!” Minji’s voice bounced around, but not coming from the bizarre Minji standing in front of you. “Shhh, it’s okay, you’re okay.”
The creature before you took your form again, it’s breath angrily rising. It quickly shapeshifted to another form.
“We don’t want you back!” It panted now as Bora, shouting to make its voice be heard over the accelerating heartbeat. “We don’t-”
“It’s okay, it’s all a dream!” Now it was Bora’s voice responding from beyond what your eyes could see. You saw your hand light up, warming up as if another hand graced on top of yours. “Everything’s gonna be okay. We’re here.”
The stars around you finally started getting closer, to both of you. The light engulfing both you and your reflection. It felt warm and gentle on your skin, but you couldn’t say the same thing for the other you in that place.
Loud screeches of pain as it battled against the bright light touching it’s skin, shrinking against itself in its own place. You felt your feet floating, like a certain force pulling you up from the starry sky. You felt a cold hand grab you from the hem of your gown, as it’s colorless eyes searched painfully for yours.
“YOU’LL NEVER GET RID OF ME!” Your bizarre reflection snapped back at you in desperation, almost like a cry for help.
“Maybe,” You looked back at it, and just for a second, it’s eyes mirrored your human color instead of being a black, empty void. “But I’ll never stop trying.”
The bright light of the room filled your view, as your eyes snapped open. Trying urgently to adjust to the new light, your eyes blinked and scanned from side to side, as the blurriness slowly dissipated. A flash of pain escurried from your shoulder all the way up your chest, arm and head, as you looked down to a freshly closed wound, a gauze tenderly placed above your stitches.
You looked at the shadows hovering above you, dazzled by the ceiling’s light once again when you turned your eyes up to one side. Two unknown faces, dressed up with scrubs were hurriedly taking your vitals, alternating the view between the monitors and you. Moving your eyes upward and to the other side, there they were.
Bora rested her head on the edge, caressing your hand with her thumb, looking it you with the brightest eyes you had ever seen, and hovering just above her, Minji, flicking off a stray tear away from her face and Dami, a glowing smile adorning her face, one that cutely wrinkled her eyes as her eyes refused to leave you.
“You’re finally back.” Minji whispered as her tender grin grew up across her face. “Everything’s gonna be okay.”
Bora tenderly caressed your cheek as her own eyes filled with tears unwilling to drop. With the strength available in your body, you offered back a smile that immediately broke her.
“We couldn’t bear the idea of losing you again,” She cried, clinging to your hand. “We missed you so much.”
“I’m not going anywhere Unnie, that’s a promise.” You mumbled back.
“Precisely young lady, you are not allowed to go anywhere yet. At least until tomorrow” One of the nurses added, making all of us chuckle and lightening up the aura in the room. “Your vitals are running as they should and your recovery seems to be advancing correctly, you’ll be staying just one more day here.”
All the room cheered at the good news, relieved. You raised the bed to sit up and chat with the girls about everything that had been happening throughout the days, how the bastard that shot you was convicted and dealt with, with no mercy. They told you about how all the industry took steps to ensure the safety of the idols thanks to this incident, fundraisers in your name against gun violence and regulations, and they way the world looked at this with their own eyes.
“Here, take a look at this,” Dami handed you her phone, a playful smile as she did. “Would be better to focus on the good.”
“Wow…” You scrolled down an infinite stream of positive and supportive messages from Somnias all over the world. Outpouring love and comfort on every social media, erasing any doubt in your mind on how the people received you. “I didn’t think they would like me that much.”
“We had the same feeling when we debuted as DreamCatcher too.” Minji added, recalling her memory. “But at the end, the ones that really love you are the ones who stick around.”
“And the ones who don’t can shove their opinions up their-”
“Bora!” Minji covered your ears quickly, as she snapped her eyes towards the other girl.
You chuckled at the image, with Dami a few steps behind trying to keep her laugh too. But the moment was interrupted quickly by a knock on the door, followed by a nurse peeking her head inside.
“Sorry for interrupting,” She excused herself, “Your family came to see you!”
“But I don’t have a fam-”
“I’m not shutting you up the way I would like just because you’re still healing,” Siyeon’s voice accompanied her silhouette as she entered the room, a bouquet of flowers in hand. Followed by Handong, Yoohyeon and Gahyeon, each one carrying a present in their hands. “But as your official big sister, I’ll patiently wait until that arm works again to do it so.”
The remark made you giggle as you glanced at the girls and the radiant auras they carried with them. Now surrounded by an endless supply of snacks, courtesy of Yoohyeon and Handong, the sweet smell of fresh flowers by Siyeon and a new fluffy friend to hug by Gahyeon and a lot of laughs, you couldn’t help but let some tears drop from your eyes.
“Why are you crying?” Yoohyeon approached the bed, handing you a tissue.
“This must be how it feels like…” You stuttered. “Having a family.”
“But you have one!” Gahyeon, who was sitting in the bed with you chimed in.
“I never told you before…” You swallowed, avoiding all their glances as you searched for the courage to come clean about your past. “But I have never met my family, so as far as I know, I don’t really have one.”
You looked up, only to be received by their tender smiles. Almost as if they already knew.
“What are we? Painted?” Handong sneered, making everyone laugh instantly. You giggled too, but your wondering eyes gave up that you were still a little confused.
“Family is so much more than blood lineage Y/n,” Minji added, trying to clear your mind. “And I really like the one that we have right here.”
Something clicked in your mind, calling even more tears to your eyes but a huge smile to your face. The girls all surrounded you in a careful but very welcome and warm hug. Submerged in the comfortable silence surrounding all of you, you could listen to some of the girls crying too.
But it didn’t matter anyway, you had everything that you ever wanted now.
“We’ll always be here for you Y/n.” Gahyeon whispered as she took your hand in hers. “We ain’t going nowhere.”
You nodded chuckling, cleaning some of your tears away from your cheeks, but they didn’t stop coming out of your eyes.
“Well, since you're being dismissed tomorrow,” Bora tried to light up the atmosphere a little. “What should we do to celebrate?”
“I suggest an arm wrestling tournament!” Siyeon barged in with a loud chuckle, making everyone turn around to face in disapproval. “It- It was just a joke.”
“But yeah! Putting all dangerous stuff outside,” Handong giggled looking back at you. “What do you want to do tomorrow when we’re finally back home?”
You scanned around at the bright faces surrounding you, each one bringing up that warm sensation on your chest. You had no idea what you did to deserve this much love in your life, but whatever it was, there was no way you would let it slip through your fingers again.
“Wherever you are,” You answered. “I’m already home.”

“Oy, Y/N! How long is that damn cake going to take?”
You rolled your eyes at the sound of Bora shouting, and resisted the urge to throw a handful of flour at wherever she was hiding. “Shut up, you come cut fondant if you’re so high and mighty.”
“...Okay, take your time.” At her response, you rolled your eyes and turned back to the cake-decorating with a smile, sticky yellow and purple coating your hands. To be honest, the cake was almost done, but you weren’t about to let Bora have her satisfaction.
She appeared and peeked over your shoulder, the flowers clustered in her arms tickling your back. “Damn,” Bora wolf-whistled and dodged the smear of icing you aimed at her. “That’s one hell of a cake. Are you sure we can eat it?” When you reached your hands at her again, slightly more aggressively, she yelped, “It’s a compliment! Stop, stop, the cake just looks too pretty to eat.”
“Nice save,” you scowled. “What do we think of the color scheme, though?”
“Yellow and purple,” Bora observed, pursing her lips. “Carnations and mallow, huh? Bold move for this celebration.”
“Yeah,” you sighed, “carnations and mallow really aren’t the best memory for me. For us. But I thought it would be nice to appreciate all we’ve been through together, with a nice, handmade cake.”
The other girl patted your arm and set her flowers down on a nearby desk. “It’s a nice sentiment, truly. Minji would appreciate it.”
“Would?” another voice piped up from behind you, and you instantly smiled. “You talk about me like I’m not here in the flesh, Bora.”
“You might want to get back to bed,” Bora warned, smiling nonetheless, but Minji wrapped her arms around your waist and tucked her nose into the crook of your neck. “Even if it’s just to stop me from getting nauseated. Handong will have your head, you know.”
Minji shook her head and swayed playfully, “Oh, I know. But I wanted to see all the preparations you guys have made.”
You managed to press a kiss to your girlfriend’s forehead, pressing yet another sugary flower to the surface of the cake. “What do we think? Since you’re being commended for your efforts with the Hanahaki disease, I thought it would be nice for us to pay some homage to everything.”
“It’s very nice,” Minji nodded while she strode over to where the base of the cake sat. “And I especially appreciate that you did my favorite flavor, though I’m not really being commended for anything.”
“You kidding?” Yubin arrived, yet another person crowding in Minji’s kitchen, but you didn’t really mind the approach of the younger woman. “You’re getting a whole news article, and an honorary position at the clinic. I wouldn’t say that’s nothing, especially when you’re still weak from the disease, months later.”
“Hush,” Minji sighed. But it was true; you could see her hands whiten from pressing down onto the kitchen table and holding up her weight, and you remembered how shaky she felt when she had hugged you earlier. “I’m fine, it’s been almost 2 months.”
Yubin shook her head and moved over to pass you the tube of icing you motioned for, then muttered, “And you haven’t talked to Siyeon since then. I wouldn’t say you’re fine.”
Bora nudged the younger at that, not missing the way Minji leaned more on the table. “Yubin, let’s not. But Minji, Y/N, you know that Siyeon’s still coming, right?”
You nodded, “Yeah. It’ll be as fine as she makes it.” Minji didn’t argue, still staring at the grain of the table and you jerked your head towards the door. “Hey, let’s give me some space, yeah? It’s hard to decorate a cake with your noisy asses around.”
Once you and Minij were the only ones in the room, you carefully wrapped your arms around her so as not to touch her clothing with your hands. “Hey. You feeling okay? How did the visit with the clinic go?”
“To be honest? I’m already tired,” she sighed, then leaned her head on your shoulder. “It’s been months, and you guys are still taking care of me. I feel really, really, really bad about it, Y/N, and as much as they try, the clinic can’t help me.”
“Why?” You kissed her cheek yet again, whispering, “It’s kinda my fault that you got the disease, I should be taking care of you. And no one minds, Minji, you always take care of us. It’s rightly earned for us to be waiting on you now, and we all appreciate that you’re letting us help you at all. The clinic sucks, yeah, but you’re going to make it the best.”
Minji pouted and looked up at you. “Are you sure? Because I feel like a burden, and it sucks.”
“You are not a burden,” you insisted, “and you never will be. Now go and sit down, and play some music before our friends arrive. Make yourself useful.”
She smiled at that and slumped into the nearest chair, responding softly, “Got it. Music coming right up, love.”
Tumblr media
Siyeon frowned at the streets rolling past outside her window, Gahyeon paying no mind as she hummed something in the driver’s seat. “Are you sure they want me there?”
“For the last time, it’s fine,” Gahyeon sighed. “Yoohyeon unnie said that it would be a good chance for you to make up with Y/N and Minji unnie, remember? I agree, you need to clear things up, or it’s going to be so awkward for the rest of us.”
The blonde reached into the bag at her feet yet again, despite the fact that the desserts inside couldn’t have disappeared. It was just anxiety chewing up her stomach; after all, nearly all her friends hadn’t been able to look at her the same since you and Minji nearly died because of her. Siyeon didn’t know if they could forgive her, even if you did. “I don’t know, Gahyeon-ah. It’s all my fault.”
The younger girl glanced at her and shook her head. “Look, I’m not going to say that you’re blameless or anything. You screwed up with Y/N, and yeah, it sucked--” Siyeon winced -- “but this is your chance to apologize and do what you can.”
Before Siyeon could argue any more, Gahyeon had parked by the curb and yanked her door open. The Love Blossom looked... somewhat similar, though it was far busier than Siyeon had ever remembered it to be; there were news articles taped to the walls and people filing through the open door. Balloons and wreaths decorated the windows, and Siyeon was relieved to see Yoohyeon bounding over to greet them. “Hey, unnie. Glad Gahyeon dragged you over.”
Resisting the urge to pout at the taller girl, Siyeon allowed herself to be pulled towards the shop, desserts in hand. Yoohyeon had her arm on her shoulder and was talking already with a smile. “I’m sure Y/N will be happy to see you, though we’ll have to look for her a bit. I think she’s with Minji, though she rarely isn’t.”
“How... how is Minji?” Siyeon managed to ask. “I saw some of the articles.”
Yoohyeon hesitated to answer, “She... well, she isn’t great. Y/N recovered a lot quicker and easier than she did, so Y/N wasn’t left as weak as Minji, but the both of them are definitely worse off.” At the blonde’s guilty expression, Yoohyeon waved her hands and exclaimed, “Not that it’s any of your fault! No one guilts you, and-- oh, Dongie unnie!”
Handong turned from where she was ringing a customer up, and assumed a polite smile. “Hey, Yoohyeon. Siyeon. Welcome to the party, I guess. I’m assuming you’re looking for the happy couple?”
“That’s right,” Yoohyeon smiled, squeezing the mute Siyeon’s shoulders. “Kitchen, right?”
“Yeah,” Handong answered, eyes straying down to the desserts in Siyeon’s hands. “We’ve got a lot of food already, just ask Y/N where you can set stuff down.”
Siyeon didn’t miss the way that Handong barely squeezed a smile out, or the way that Yubin brushed by without a “hello”. She wished Bora was there, even if it was only because she had been one of the less hostile ones, but the door to Minji’s apartment was already open, and she was faced with Minji pelting you with marshmallows from a stool. “Hello?”
While your smile grew slightly at the sight of Siyeon, Minji’s faded. “Hey,” you smiled, reaching forward for the bag. “What’s all of this?”
“Just some stuff I remember you guys liking,” Siyeon choked out, letting control of it go to you. “I... I’m sorry.”
Minji’s eyes widened as Siyeon sank to the ground, though you stopped her from standing. “Siyeon, what?” you tried to laugh it off, though she wouldn’t stand even with your hands on her shoulders. “Come on, there’s no need...”
“You almost died,” Siyeon bit out, “because I was too selfish to try to help you. And then Minji almost died to help you, and I-- I’m sorry, Y/N, and I’m sorry, Minji. You can’t even walk, and it’s all because of me.”
“What are you talking about?” Minji’s tone was softer than she expected, and though she toppled slightly when she got to her feet, she made her way over to you fast enough. “Siyeon, I can walk. My disease is not your fault, and it isn’t anyone’s. Y/N’s circumstance... well, I can’t speak for her, but you didn’t make me this way, okay?”
Siyeon sighed, head still bowed as she was forced to stand up by the two of you. “Then, Y/N, I’m so sorry. You were my friend, and I just abandoned you because I was scared.”
“You’re okay,” you reassured her softly. “I can’t deny that I did blame you at first, but I’m willing to forgive you. I understand how scary it was, that I was dying and you were the only one who could have helped me, or at least that we knew of. I... I don’t hate you for it, I couldn’t.”
In that moment, there was nothing Siyeon could say that would’ve summed up the way she felt well enough. Looking into your eyes, so genuine and caring, more than she deserved from either of you, there was an all-too-heavy weight lifted off her shoulders. It wasn’t like she truly thought she deserved to be forgiven so easily, but Siyeon couldn’t help but accept, and she managed to say, “Thank you.”
“Of course,” Minji smiled, “as long as you really mean it.”
“I do,” Siyeon nodded again. “I’ve never meant anything more.”
Tumblr media
You knew Minji had something to say when she still lingered around in the kitchen with you at night, dressed in a floaty shirt with her makeup wiped off, but still watching you cut the remaining cake up. “What?” you asked, raising your eyebrows at her. “You’ve been staring at me for the past hour.”
“How was it so easy for you to forgive Siyeon?” she questioned instantly. “I mean, she was my friend too, but I... it’s so hard to think of how you just let that go in an instant. How, Y/N?”
Pausing to think, you set your knife down. Minji stared at you with large, shimmery eyes from the kitchen counter, and you resisted the urge to coo. “Well, I think that I wouldn’t have really done anything different if I was in her position.”
“But you did,” your girlfriend pointed out, “you saved me. Barely in time, but you did.”
“Well, that’s different.” You frowned, passed her a slice of cake since she didn’t seem to be ready to sleep yet, and mused, “I did love you, and I always will. Siyeon never loved me, so even if she tried, she wouldn’t have been able to save me. You know? Yeah, she could’ve not abandoned me, but in the end, it was only human of her to be scared of being the only person who could save someone else.”
Minji sighed at that, “I mean, if we look at it that way, you are right. I just... she hurt you. And maybe I can’t forgive that yet, Y/N.”
“And that’s fine,” you shrugged, moving around the counter to hug her from behind. “I get that too, but Siyeon’s trying. I think we should too.”
Instead of answering, Minji turned and captured your lips with her own, your hands tightening on her waist slightly in rhythm. “I love you more every day, Y/N,” she breathed out when you parted just enough to breathe. “Maybe almost dying for you was worth it.”
“Never say that again,” you shook your head, but you smiled nonetheless. “But I love you too, Minji, and I’ll never stop.”

Kim Minji
The moment you looked into her eyes, you knew it was a big mistake. She was mad and something you, supposedly, did caused this. “I know that you did it, Y/N. Just admit it.” Her tone was cold. Something you donˋt witness often from her.
You couldnˋt look away, so you gathered all your strength to shake your head no. Looking to the others for help, you could see that no one was willing to help you out of this situation. Yoohyeon and Siyeon were frantically tiping on their phone, propably playing some stupid game. On the other side Handong and Dami were reading the same book, to appear busy. Bora just smirked at you like this was the best show she saw all week.
Minji was losing her patience. She knew you did it. The evidence was missing, but she just knew! In such a fake sweet tone, that it sends a shudder down your spine, she said “If you tell me the truth now, no one has to suffer and you wonˋt have to sleep on the couch.” You considered taking her offer to end this, but you didnˋt do it. So why should you take the blame?
“Be smart and take her offer y/n.”-”Yubin, we all know that she wonˋt make a smart decision” Handong didnˋt even looked up when she said that. But when you glared at her, you could see one eyebrow go up a bit. So you wonˋt get in trouble with her, you quickly looked back at your girlfriend. Out of the corner of your eye, you could still see the same shit eating grin on Boras face. If you werenˋt so afraid for your life, you would have offered her some popcorn for her show.
When Siyeon tried to get up, she was stopped by a sharp “Sit” and with a quiet “Yes, Maˋam” she sat back down again and didnˋt even dared to move a muscle. You knew that no one would leave until someone confessed. And in the mind of your girlfriend, it had to be you. You made this mistake once and learned from the drama, you really wouldnˋt do that again.
Yoohyeon already tried to take the blame, but after the glare she got from Minji, she took everything she said back and even pretended to not be there anymore. “Minji it really wasnˋt me. The last time was enough drama for me.” Okay this may have been a mistake. “Drama? Drama?! Iˋm serious here y/n. This is no life or death situation, but itˋs pretty damn close.”
After a few minutes it was Bora who broke the silence “You know Minji, I saw her earlier. She was looking around, to make sure no one sees her” This little shit! You knew she was saying this so her show wonˋt get boring, but throwing you under the bus like this, unbelievable. Instead of saying something, you just looked between her and Minji and opened and closed your mouth a few times. Your girlfriend crossed her arms in front of her chest, but said nothing. She just looked at you without even blinking her eyes.
You were weak. Every resolve began to crack under her stare. The moment you opened your mouth to confess, the door of the dorm flew open and Gahyeon came in with a few bags in her hands. “Hey Iˋm back. Why are you sitting there like someone died? You know what, first I'll bring these bags in my room. Oh Minji, I ate your last choco pie, but donˋt worry. I got you a new package.” And with that, the youngest was gone as fast as she just came in.
After that little piece of information, you just looked at your girlfriend with one eyebrow raised. For a short moment she looked shocked, but got her expression back under her control fast. “Y/n I'll let you off the hook. You all are free to go now. And for the last time, to avoid this kind of situation: Do not eat my snacks!” Siyeon and Yoohyeon were gone faster than lightning, while Yubin and Handong stayed glued together. Bora was slowly walking to her room, grumbling something about spoiled fun and the need for a new drama.
“Do you have anything else to say to me?” Your girlfriend just looked at you with her signature smile “No, why?” Sometimes you couldnˋt believe her nerve, still you loved her and she loved you. The snacks were your competition for her love…. but you are a fighter.

do i already stan them? yes | only for the music | attempting to | no
my bias + bias wrecker: Sunmi, but technically shes my bias wrecker? I used to prefer Yubin
first time i heard of them: when Why So Lonely came out but I might have already known of them
when i became a fan: Why So Lonely
favorite (and least favorite) title track: Why So Lonely.... and least favourite is ...probably something before they changed into a band I havent heard a lot of their music from before that
favorite (and least favorite) b-side: favourite is One black night, again I'm not keen on a lot of pre reboot
favorite (and least favorite) mv: I feel you is my favourite
favorite (and least favorite) album: favourite is Reboot, because its the only one they released when I was into them
a concept i wished they’d try: release music together :(
