New Year’s Resolutions from the Rogues Gallery - 2
II / Jonathan Crane - Scarecrow
Tumblr media
1 - Get Edward back. He is lying to himself by trying to be a detective who works with Batman and the police. 2 - Catch up with Harley, it’s been a while. 3 - Get Edward back. I heard he teams-up with Batgirl and Red Hood very often, but I can say it’s nothing compared to the bright duo we used to be. 4 - Fill my daughter’s bank account, I’m sure I can afford it this year. 5 - Get Edward back. Eventually apologize to him if necessary, that should be enough to convince him to return by my side. Where he belongs. 6 - Lurk less often by Becky’s house, or she might spot me. 7 - Get Edward back. I cannot tolerate the idea of Bruce Wayne touching, kissing and holding him. Eddie is mine, no one else is allowed to get to him. 8 - Find a companion for my pet crow Nightmare. 9 - Get Edward BACK!

everybody loves to say that peter yelling at dylan in episode seven is social networkesque and god is that true but nobody ever wants to talk about how mackenzie’s speech at peter also in episode seven is literally the first scene of the social network.

Had he been able to choose, what would Malcom have wanted to be? When he was a kid, what did he want to be when he grew up?
He actually wanted to be an artist. His mother was not very supportive of that, or any of his decisions really, and most of his early work was burned. But, Hazel kept as much as she could and ended up pinning them all up on the walls as they got older. Her apothecary sign was designed by him and a lot of the art work the MC notices up on the top floor where the living quarters are, belongs to Malcolm.

invisible string - part one
“I guess you’re Summer’s mum?”
Tumblr media
pairing: reader x mason mount summary: It’s been you and your daughter until life decides to prank you by putting her dad back into your life. The only problem is that he doesn’t know he’s her dad. warnings: fluff, a bit of angst, a bit of swearing. author: I randomly had this idea on my way to work and thought it’d be nice to write. Happens a bit before the World Cup, but I’ve changed some stuff to fit the story. Remember, this is fiction. Part two will come with some Masey smut. word count: 1.288k tagging: @football1921 // @pulisicsgirl // @bgfgm // @yungbludz // @mjij123 // @charlessgf // @slightlyrecklessserande // @lovelynikol16 // @thoseboysinblue // @dinonuggiesforliferz // @lovingtidalwavepizza // @she-lives-in-her-dreams
“Mummy, ice cream after ballet?”
How could a wrong choice in life lead you to this? To her? Almost four years later and it still overwhelmed you, because you never thought you had that special thing that’d make you a mum, but somehow, you managed it just fine — with extra help from your family and friends, definitely, but at the end of the day it was just you and Lily. And her fish, of course. The only pet you allowed her to have for now, so she’d start to have some sort of notion of responsibility.
“We’ll see about that, kid. Maybe if you eat all your dinner first?”
Lily sighed, as if she had the most complicated life, full of tough decisions. “Fine, mummy. Can Summer come too?”
Summer, the ballet bestie you never met because you always dropped Lily at ballet earlier than the other kids normally arrived, and she was gone before you went back to the studio to pick up your daughter. You only knew what she looked like because one day Lily came home with a cute Polaroid picture of the two of them, taken by Miss Albright, the teacher. Your heart melted a little at how adorable that was, the two girls hugging each other, tiny chubby arms around each other and big smiles on their faces — you could even swear they looked alike, maybe that was a bestie thing.
“Well baby, first I have to meet her mummy and make sure she trusts me, so she feels safe to leave her baby girl with me…”
“Just like you do, mummy?” You nodded, a big proud smile on your lips at how easy Lily understood things. “My legs are tired.” She said, completely changing the subject and stretching both arms at you so you could carry her.
“A ballerina with tired legs? Oh my!” You giggled, not being able to ignore how adorable your daughter was when she wanted you to carry her.
“I played footy at school today, mummy, I’m tired.” As Lily yawned, your heart skipped a beat. “Mr. Martin said I’m good.”
Of course you are, baby girl… you thought. Instead, you just nodded, kissing her temple as you walked inside the ballet studio and a smiley Miss Albright welcomed both of you. It was an open class today, to the mums and grandmas, aunts too, to celebrate the beginning of recital rehearsals — Lily’s first. You’ve found your best friend and your mum chatting and once Lily finally noticed they were there, she clapped her hands and gave an impatient little wriggle, and you let her go as she rushed to them with those tiny chubby legs, apparently not tired anymore. What an adorable little shit that girl was, with her golden retriever energy.
Like her daddy, who had no idea about her existence.
A soft poke on your shoulder woke you up from your thoughts and you turned around to face a heavily pregnant woman accompanied by, apparently, her mum, considering they looked a lot like each other. They were both smiling at you, and the youngest pointed at your daughter, who was now hugging a little girl.
“Are you Lily’s mum?”
“Guilty.” Taking another look at the two little ballerinas, you frowned at how indeed they looked alike. It was easy to identify that one. “I guess you’re Summer’s mum?”
“Jasmine, but you can call me Jaz.” You shook hands, smiling at each other. “And this is my mum, Debbie.”
“It’s lovely to finally meet you. Lily never shuts up about Summer.” You giggled, thinking of the never ending talks about how your daughter’s ballet bestie is the… best.
It was easy being around them, and your mum and best friend got along just fine with Jaz and Debbie, plus, Summer was indeed a sweetheart. One of the most adorable kids you’ve ever met, so polite and loving you just wanted to squeeze her as you usually did with Lily.
The rehearsal went on fine, full of the cuteness of 4 year old girls in baby pink tutus. You were happy to be there, happy that you took the afternoon off from work so you could be there seeing how happy your daughter was as she occasionally waved between clumsy pliés and pirouettes. Nonetheless, she was a natural, and you weren’t being too biased — as a ballet dancer herself, your best friend made sure to point out all the right things Lily was doing. You couldn’t help letting a shy tear roll down your cheek because although you had the most incredible support system for the past 4 years, only you knew how tough it still was raising that girl.
Especially when she asked about her daddy.
Once the rehearsal ended, you spotted Lily yawning and blinking heavily, but you knew she’d remember the ice cream. Sometimes, you couldn’t negotiate nor change the little one’s mind, and she got all that stubbornness from you.
“Mummy…” she started, and you took her in your arms, pressing soft kisses all over her face as she giggled.
“I know, my little monster. I didn’t forget your ice cream.”
When you invited your mum and best friend for dinner, they both apologised over and over, saying their time off had been exclusively to Lily’s rehearsal and they had to go — your mum, to your dad, because even after 30 years together they just couldn’t stay away from each other; and your best friend, back home, because she needed to finish an essay for uni.
That was when, kindly, Jaz invited you for Italian at a place she loved and Lily didn’t have to convince you, because the truth was you were dying to see your daughter and her best friend interacting as if they were two adults.
Now, you’ve found yourself happily chatting with Jaz and Debbie between observing Lily and Summer talk and giggling as they share a colouring book.
Bonding with Jaz was easy, and Debbie was also very sweet. You found out that Lily and Summer almost shared a birthday, with your daughter being just a few days older than hers; that you both had big families although you were an only child, while Jaz had three siblings but she kept that part private, which you didn’t mind as she was so respectful not asking about Lily’s dad when you said it was just the two of you living on a flat.
“And Moana, mummy.” The fish, your daughter added, to which you just nodded.
When you said your goodbyes, Debbie kindly invited you and Lily over on Saturday for lunch, so the girls could spend a day together, playing, something they didn’t get the chance to do yet.
“Jaz will have her mocktail and I can make us some mojitos, Y/n.”
Lily’s pleading eyes and pout easily convinced you.
“We’d love that, Debbie.”
You exchanged phone numbers and Instagram accounts, but it was only on Saturday morning, when Jasmine texted you her address that you decided to take a look on her insta. You smiled at a picture of Summer in a tutu and of another where the little one was in the middle of her parents, smiling, tiny arms over their shoulders.
But you wish you had never met Jasmine when you found a picture of her entire family and that familiar face was on your screen. You dropped your phone, your vision blurred, your head was spinning and you felt the urge to vomit. You wanted to cry. You wanted to scream. You wanted to run away and start a new life somewhere no one would know you and your daughter.
Jasmine was Mason’s sister.
Mason Mount.
Mason… Lily’s father.

HOT TAKE TOURNAMENT!
PRELIMINARY #222
Tumblr media
Submission 414
Cyrus Albright is incredibly aroace coded.
The blatant missing of people's romantic interest. The complete disregard for non-platonic motivations. The inability to see himself for how attractive he is. Even the stereotypical obsession with sciences. We need more AroAce Cyrus Albright takes.
Propaganda is always encouraged!
And remember to reblog your favourite polls for exposure!

Trump supporters are trying to blur Trump's racism by posting fake AI images of him being the object of adoration by African Americans.
One of the disseminators of such images is a white MAGA talk show host in Florida.
Unlike in 2016, when there was evidence of foreign influence campaigns, the AI-generated images found by the BBC appear to have been made and shared by US voters themselves. One of them was Mark Kaye and his team at a conservative radio show in Florida. They created an image of Mr Trump smiling with his arms around a group of black women at a party and shared it on Facebook, where Mr Kaye has more than one million followers. At first it looks real, but on closer inspection everyone's skin is a little too shiny and there are missing fingers on people's hands - some tell-tale signs of AI-created images. "I'm not a photojournalist," Mr Kaye tells me from his radio studio. "I'm not out there taking pictures of what's really happening. I'm a storyteller." He had posted an article about black voters supporting Mr Trump and attached this image to it, giving the impression that these people all support the former president's run for the White House. In the comments on Facebook, several users appeared to believe the AI image was real. "I'm not claiming it is accurate. I'm not saying, 'Hey, look, Donald Trump was at this party with all of these African American voters. Look how much they love him!'" he said. "If anybody's voting one way or another because of one photo they see on a Facebook page, that's a problem with that person, not with the post itself."
Basically, Mark Kaye is telling the BBC that he has the right to deceive people.
Another spreader of fake images is a Christian fundamentalist known as "Shaggy" in Michigan.
We tracked down the person behind the account called Shaggy, who is a committed Trump supporter living in Michigan.
"[My posts] have attracted thousands of wonderful kind-hearted Christian followers," he said in messages sent to the BBC on social media. When I tried to question him on the AI-generated image he blocked me. His post has had over 1.3 million views, according to the social media site X. Some users called it out, but others seemed to have believed the image was real.
FYI: This is "Shaggy". Is anybody shocked that the people spreading these fake images of blacks are old white MAGA zombies?
Tumblr media
Apparently there are still people using oligarch Elon Musk's Twitter X. Don't expect Odious Elon to do anything about obvious attempts to deceive users.
Cliff Albright, the co-founder of campaign group Black Voters Matter, said there appeared to be a resurgence of disinformation tactics targeting the black community, as in the 2020 election. "There have been documented attempts to target disinformation to black communities again, especially younger black voters," he said.
If Trump supporters think that they have the right to spread bogus images, we then have the right to have some fun with them. 😋

Hello, hello my little lovelies,
So much to catch up on these days! Everyone all at once seemed to have some type of news to share with me.
You all know being on the ice is meant to keep us all cool and level-headed, right? There were so many punches thrown at the ice skating event, not just once, not even twice, but three whole times. Eagan Connolly punched Huntsville Daily’s very own Samuel Ahn over what was reportedly, and unsurprisingly, something to do with that missing brother of hers again. If she keeps that attitude up no one is going to be willing to assist her. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, sweetheart.
Seeming to take a cue from her is that wildchild from the Westfall family, Esther Westfall, who is just as short tempered as ever. They were seen punching one Eldon Harcourt, though he seemed to take it decently well, and didn’t engage into a full brawl. The same can’t be said for Joey Albright who fully attacked Louis Ryan and had to be pulled off him. Not exactly the behavior you’d expect from everyone’s favorite heartthrob but it seems love makes fools of us all. Let’s just hope that Hope Macgillivray is worth it.
However, not everyone at the ice skating party was quick to come to blows. It seems that there are at least some of you who would rather make love than war. Jackson Miller was spotted getting cozy with Lavender Parsons, ending in what was apparently quite the steamy kiss, if my sources are to be believed. Now I know that some readers may be scandalized by this news, but I for one think it is wonderful that after everything she went through with her mother’s disappearance last year, Miss Parsons seems to be coming into her own as a young woman. All I can say is, be careful out there, men of Huntsville! There’s a new heartbreaker on the rise.
Here’s a toast to one town event being mostly a success with no serious incidents. Hopefully this is the start of a new and lighter year for all of us.
Love,
Auntie G

That older ranger guy is like, always at the bar. Smells like a bar too. Really harshes the vibe, you know? - Day Drinker
I've been seeing Amber Ryan and Noah Kasprak head off to his place a lot lately. I wonder how her siblings feel about her sleeping around with her co-worker. Seems pretty irresponsible to me considering the family's history. - Anon (25F)
So I was minding my business, when I heard Marisol de la Luna was holding some guy’s tarantula? Is that a new euphemism the kids are using or what? Here’s hoping history doesn’t repeat itself or she’ll end up like her mom did senior year. - Think of the Children
Geez, never a dull day with the Romeros. Heard another one of Hawk’s kids came popping out of the woods. Sora Griffon? At this rate, he’s gonna have a whole flock of ‘em. Hope his new hubby is ready to play Brady Bunch. - Town Bird Watcher
Nico Garcia has been going around saying he’s going to be a dad? I wonder who he knocked up. Could be half the town from the way he’s been getting around. I heard that within the past couple months he’s been hooking up with Val Moreno, Kirby, Nadine Briggs, Jessie Sinclair, Wren Romero, Cole Cerulli, Jovi DiCamillo, and Tatum Hampton, to name just a few! - Anon (33M)

For the people who've followed me for my most recent art post thank you so much!!! It makes me very happy. I'm not a full time furry myself but I love drawing them.
For any of you curious about the condition I mentioned I can talk more about it.
McCune-Albright Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that occurs from a random mutation in approx 1 in 1000000 people. Some of its biggest symptoms are skeletal defects and endocrine disorders. I have incorrectly formed bones in my hands (both hands have stunted bones and missing knuckles), skull (severe crossbite that took half a decade of intense corrective measures and permanent retainers to align), and possibly legs (I walk with a limp). This is because MAS can cause scar tissue to form inside bones (fibrous displasia). I didn't know that the bone-deep burning in my arms and legs when I grew up was abnormal, they said I just had growing pains.
I'm also hypermobile and can bend my fingers and knees at weird angles but this means I can near-dislocate my knees if I'm not careful.
On the endocrine side, PCOS is a comorbidity of MAS. I also have an insulin resistance. My metabolism is shit basically and combined with my naturally larger stature I get called obese quite a bit when I'm not. I've also been denied surgery coverage based on my BMI when the weight they require would kill me.
It sucks, but having a diagnosis helps. It means people can't say I'm "just not used to standing because [I] sit in a computer chair all day" when I feel like there's glass in my hip joints.

But I had so much fun living in Buffalo especially the long winters where you just had to like...Sit in the dark in your house alone with your thoughts. I really loved SF and I love Atlanta but I miss the absolute silence of Buffalo winters. And going for walks in the snow late at night after a storm. Or just all the little crevices that are full of art..in the apartment I had before I moved I lived a block away from the Frank Lloyd Wright house that's near Delaware park, and part of it is just completely open to the public all the time, so you can walk through it during the day for free and be inside this incredible masterpiece of architecture, just chilling. I miss taking the train to the Albright Knox at 7am, too. I miss a lot of things about that city!
