The underestimation of the Pig and Dog Miraculous

Now that we have finally gotten the change to see what kind of power the ox, rooster, goat and dog miraculous have, I realized people started arguing about how the dog miraculous power is much more insignificant when compared to the other miraculous shown thus far.

Now, the reason people say this, is because the dog miraculous power allows the holder to retrieve anything their ball touches, so when Miss Hound touched the soccer ball Penalteam had, she was able to retrieve it and bring it back to her.

Although the dog miraculous power may seem a little underwhelming when seen in action, people tend to forget that the number one rule of any miraculous... is that you should never underestimate what it is capable of!, after all, the guardians of the miraculous only ever wrote down what they knew so far about the miraculous, meaning even they were unaware of just what more the power of the miraculous can do. In “Mr, Pigeon 72”, Rena Rouge explains to ladybug how the guardians book only tells of what the monks learned so far about the miraculous, however, what a person can do with its power is only restricted by whatever limits the holders puts on themselves, meaning a holder of a miraculous can go beyond their limits and do anything they put their minds to so long as they take into account the kind of power they held in the first place. Each of the miraculous can be just as powerful and just as dangerous, it all depends on how they are used and whether they are being used for good or evil.

When Rena Rouge told Ladybug how her power is only limited by what she believes she can create, then all she has to do was be willing to break away from those limits she put on herself and think about creating something which could protect the civilians from Hawkmoths power. When ladybug did attempt this, she created the magical charms which could protect everyone from Hawkmoths akumas.

Yet despite the power of the charms, it wasn’t long after their creation did Hawkmoth realize for himself in “Dearest Family” how he to is only limited by how powerful he believed he could make an akuma. Once he broke away from his limits, he created an akuma which could break through the magical charms and destroy them in the process of akumatizing civilians once again.

Now, the dog miraculous was not the first miraculous people had doubts in terms of how powerful and how useful it could be in battles, what other miraculous was there?...why...the Pig miraculous of course!.

When Rose got the chance to use the pig miraculous, people felt skeptical about how much it could prove useful in a fight as it’s power can reveal to a person their greatest desire, but again, people forget they are underestimating the power of a miraculous. Although Pigella’s power may seem insignificant, people failed to realize the pigs power is also only limited by how much Rose thinks she can do, yes she can show a persons greatest desire….but she alone may have the capability to uncover a persons deepest darkest secrets! If that kind of power fell into the wrong hands, then who knows what an evil person might do once they realize they are fully capable of uncovering someone’s most personal details.

Having the ability to uncover valuable information from others is a danger in and of itself and can be used for great good or great evil. It’s a good thing Rose is not a manipulative person who would want to use the information of others to her own advantage in order to be treated a certain way and manipulate people into believing what she wants the moment she figures out what others want most, because if someone other than Rose got the chance to use the pig miraculous then … who knows what secrets that person would uncover. Knowing this…what does this mean in terms of the dog miraculous?

It’s true the dog miraculous can allow the holder to retrieve whatever its ball touches, but if the power of a miraculous is truly limited by what the holder believes they can do with such power then…what more could it be capable of? Yes we have seen the dog miraculous help Miss hound retrieve a soccer ball in “Penalteam”,

However, Considering the dogs power was able to retrieve the soccer ball after Penalteam gained enough distance away from the other, it’s possible there is no limit to how far an item can be taken before the holder decides they want it back with them. The soccer ball alone could have been taken half way across the world, locked away in a secret and highly protected location and it would have still been easily retrieved with the dog miraculous power! All it would take is just one little touch! And this is just from retrieving a soccer ball! We do not yet know what more the dog miraculous is capable of retrieving, it could be virtually anything! Buses, buildings, small items, big items and maybe even….people!

If the dog miraculous ball was used to touch another person, then this person alone may then be left under the effects of the dogs power, meaning it doesn’t matter where they hide, it doesn’t matter how far they try to run, because all the dog miraculous holder needs to do, is decide when they want this person back in front of them!

Up to now, Hawkmoth had been attempting to obtain not only the ladybug and cat miraculous, but the other miraculous as well, not because he wants them...but because their power can help him accomplish his goal of obtaining the two miraculous he needs to have his wish granted! He already had the chance to use the bee miraculous in “Miracle Queen” and that fight alone would have lead to defeat had Ladybug not obtained the dragon miraculous before hand and used it to help her and Cat Noir keep the mind controlling wasps away in order to fight off the other heroes to retrieve more miraculous so they could use them to help defeat Hawkmoth and Chloe.

Although this does beg the question, had Hawkmoth obtained the pig miraculous, could he have used it to learn more about other peoples secrets and use that information to his advantage in order to defeat Ladybug?, or could he just as easily use its power to uncover secrets about Ladybug herself in order to finally figure out who she is!?. And if Hawkmoth were to obtain the dog miraculous then....would this mean he could easily retrieve anything he wanted?... like the other miraculous?!...or could it help him retrieve anyone he wanted?... like....Ladybug and Cat Noir!? ...honestly who’s to say, I guess we will just have to wait and see, for now, its just a theory...a Miraculous Ladybug theory!
