In their 30s, the twins begin a charity known as The Minyard Project.

Funded by thousands of volunteers, exy fans, and episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy, The Minyard Project provides prenatal and postpartum care for single mothers, as well as proper background checks for foster families.

The funds also provide hygiene products and luggage for foster children, daycare services for single/working parents, and in-house counseling services for children living in group homes.

The Minyard Project has provided safe homes for over 10,000 children, prevented 20% of abandonment/neglect cases, and brought the national number of foster children down by 30%.

Foster children are 3x more likely to graduate high school without a criminal record or substance addiction.

Oh Halloween!

Nicky convinces the foxes, and by foxes I mean his bunch because the upperclassmen agree no problem, to do a ghost photo shoot. Andrew refuses to wear a white sheet so he gets black but if Andrew gets to change his color then Neil gets to be orange, and if Neil gets to be different then so does Aaron so he picks dark grey, which is close to black, but Andrew has black and they “dOn’t LiKe tO mATcH” Allison then decides that, since the Little Shits are being difficult (because they aren’t The Monsters anymore they are The Shithead, or in Aaron, Andrew and Neil’s case, Little Shits) they should all get different colors. Because White is the original plan and how it should be, Kevin sticks with white. Allison picks pink, Renee tie-dyes the bottom of a white sheet to match her hair, Nicky finds a rainbow sheet, and Dan and Matt get sheets that are split into two colors and wear them opposite each other. They each get little fox ears and sunglasses to put on their heads, except for Andrew be gets a headband that looks like a knife in his head but the glasses are fox-themed because Neil drew a line.

Anyway. They run around campus for a few hours taking all kinds of pictures. They go to the court at one point and play but the sheets keep blocking their eyes so it’s not very productive and even Kevin’s laughing his ass off by the time they decide to stop.

Dude I just saw your tags about Katelyn having a younger sister and you know what you’re soooo right it’s insane. No only child or younger sibling would have been as tolerant and patient of Aaron’s weird relationship with Andrew as Katelyn but an eldest sibling, especially an eldest daughter definitely would be

Plus I feel like she'd be like, a little understanding? Of Andrew's desire to protect his brother, even if he's taken it to such a toxic extreme, because she would do anything to protect her own little sister.

Like she wouldn't agree with what Andrew does obviously but she gets it, she understands his motivations. And she'd try to encourage Aaron to repair his relationship with Andrew because she can tell there is genuine care underlying Andrew's actions.

Idk I just think there's like, a universal understanding between eldest siblings that you do everything you can to look after your younger siblings. It's just what you do. And I think Katelyn and Andrew both come to that understanding of one another eventually (Andrew just takes longer bc he's Stubborn)

Andrew and Aaron's dad was the Minyard, I don't know if we have extra content about his whereabouts but Nicky's last name is Hemmick so it have to be his father's, and he is the one Neil says looks like the twins and kept in contact with Tilda so he has to be her brother and Hemmick is her maiden name.

AFTG AU where Katelyn and Neil are half siblings, and Katelyn got left behind with Nathan when Mary ran away with Neil.

Everything on Neil's side is pretty much the same but Katelyn (whose real name is Natasia) is completely different. She was raised by Nathan and Lola so she was trained with knives, life full of pain and cuts and scars and punishment and just ugly. Also, every time Mary and Neil got away from Nathan's men, it was Katelyn who had to bear the consequences, so she grew up quite resentful.

Katelyn —Natasia— may or may not be involved in the investigation that led to Nathan's being in jail. Of course, she refuses completely to cooperate with the FBI investigation and that's why Nathan doesn't suspect her, at all. Once Nathan's in jail, she makes a deal with him —she wants to have a normal life, go to college, live away from Baltimore— and Nathan agrees but he also promises her that once he's out of jail, she'll have to deal with becoming the new Butcher.

So off she goes to Palmetto and everything is great, honestly. Nathan gets more than one year in jail, and it's on her second that Neil arrives and things get shitty....

hc that Aaron knows about the scars on Andrew's arms. When they first lived together Andrew didn't lock the door of the bathroom and Aaron walked in and accidentally saw them. Before he could say "Andrew", Andrew shoved him out of the door. Aaron tried to ask about it later because he was worried about his brother and he felt something inside him break when he saw those scars and realized his brother went trough some serious shit he won't talk about. Andrew said that if he mentioned it ever again, he would leave Aaron and let Tilda do whatever she wanted to do with him. So Aaron never asked again even if it killed him. But then Andrew pretty much stopped talking to him altogether and Aaron never mentioned it again. And then after the Drake incident he learnt that it wasn't the first time, it had happened before and their own uncle didn't do anything about it. And Aaron felt like a failure, because even if he killed Andrew's abuser (which gave him terrible nightmares) he couldn't help him before. His brother was suffering and he, his literal twin, couldn't help him.

actually, had a rather rough day at work, but your asks always make me happy, especially since I'm currently reading a fic centered around these 2 that made me CRY TWICE in the past 24 hours lmao

Andrew is older by a solid 2 minutes, idk how they know, or why I know, but it is what it is

They argued over who would get to be Nicky's best man at his wedding (it was both of them, he had already decided before telling them he was getting married, but it was cute to watch them fight over it so he let them)

Both of them are good with kids

Aaron can sing, Andrew cannot

They don't dress that similar, which is one of the reasons why Aaron gets so mad when people confuse them

as if his grunge skater boy aesthetic is so different from Andrew being goth lmfao

Andrew is CHUBBY and I will DIE on this hill

Aaron is not, mostly because his diet consists primarily of iced coffee, red bull, and leftovers.

Kevin dared to make a comment on Andrew's diet and weight once before Aaron and Neil death glared at him so hard he nearly died

Andrew has a lot of body issues, both with how he looks and having complete autonomy of it, I'd like to believe he gets tattoos as well

They pull switchyards sometimes, 9/10 it's Andrew's idea

one time, Aaron got mad at him and died his hair so they couldn't pull a switchyard for 3 weeks

Spite is an art form, and these 2 perfect it

especially after they graduate, and they get closer with therapy and such

they start acting like siblings, it's adorable, Nicky cries, and Neil smiles fondly every time they argue over something stupid

Silly, stupid, kinda sad, kinda wholesome Andreil headcanon/one-shot/idk what to call this

🍫🍫🍫🍫

The cafeteria is so. fucking. crowded. And Andrew hates it with his whole being. More than most things. Almost more than Neil.

Speaking of which, he watches from the safety of the wall as the rabbit finishes making his salad, arguing with Kevin over something, and only makes his way over when Neil steps away from the payment machine.

Neil makes one final snap at Kevin before abandoning him to pay for his own meal, only acknowledging Andrew with a look as he scans the far side of the room, the exits, the corners, before looking for a spot with the easiest exit.

It’s something he does, and it’s taken Andrew time to wait for Neil before immediately heading off to his spot in the very back, near the door, where his back can be to a wall.

Wow, he thinks, not for the first time that day, what a fuckin pair they are.

Neil finally settles on a spot, ready to make his way back to it. It’s somewhere comfortable for both of them (and for Kevin, although they’ll never admit they want him to feel safe too).

When they sit, Matt joins them, half-complaining about how Neil didn’t come sit with the rest of the upperclassmen while knowing the reason why. Kevin is joined by Dan, Allison, and Renee as they head over, trailed by Nicky and Aaron. The cafeteria has mostly cleared out at this point anyway, so the noise dims as the Foxes fill their table.

They normally don’t eat here, but Coach wants them to try the new granola bars and Neil’s a weirdo and Andrew’s just here for Neil. As Dan leads the team in “taking the plunge” into the new snack, Neil slides Andrew a chocolate bar that he had tucked away from sight.

Andrew stares at it for a moment. Then up at Neil. Neil just winks and takes another bite of his godforsaken special granola bar.

Andrew almost hesitates. He thinks about Neil’s consideration of him when choosing a seat, his willingness to surprise him with something as simple as a candy bar, even his choosing of a quieter spot as opposed to a spot with a clearer escape route (not that they’ll need it, but Andrew knows how Neil thinks).

He’s not smiling, but there’s an unfamiliar warmth in his chest. The kind he felt when he first came home to the house in Columbia after a night away, and Nicky was asleep at the kitchen table beside a cold cup of cocoa, waiting for him. The kind he felt when Kevin knew his size of goalie gloves. The kind he feels when Coach holds the door for him, when Allison drops off something he left at practice at his dorm, when Renee buys his favorite ice cream.

He takes all this in, looks back at Neil, and unwraps his treat.

For context, when I was first diagnosed with C-PTSD, this is something my brother would do for me (find a spot in a crowded place where I could feel the most safe). It took me a while to realize and I wanted to translate it and that feeling of being loved and considered over to Andrew and Neil because I love them.

Thanks to my brother for being twin of the year? I guess? Although we haven’t killed anyone for each other (yet) so we’re not doing it like the Minyard twins. But No One is doing it like them so :/

Aaron is,, complicated

i don't like when people pretend to be something they're not ? so Aaron trying desperately to pretend that he's "the normal twin" and not a Fox , is sad of course, but also pisses me off lol

i think he's a good brother, and i really wish he had the chance to be one growing up.

he's slightly homophobic, but since Tilda and Luther are siblings, he was most likely raised that way. he's not violent and he's definitely getting better as he gets older, but Neil said he "gave Nicky hell" for his sexuality. could just be banter and Neil isn't picking up on it bc he's Neil. not something I hold against him, is what I'm trying to say

overall? he's definitely not my favorite character, but he's a great one and I do love him (that's why I always give him twin girls. he deserves that)

as for headcanons:

the older twin, was also heavier than Andrew when they were born. Andrew was like 3lbs 12oz and Aaron was probably 4lbs

gives great hugs, and once he and Andrew grow up (30s?) they like to snuggle

HE IS THE EMO TWIN!!!!! fav bands are MCR, Three Days Grace, etc.

i love the twins with gapped front teeth, so yes

and dimples 😋

he's allergic to shellfish

silently watches how Neil interacts with Andrew so he can figure out how to talk to his brother without animosity

The foxes and Mother’s Day headcanons

(Specifically the twinyards and Neil)

Andrew and Aaron Minyard

Andrew and Aaron always give Nicky stupid mothers day cards, usually Andrew’s says something along the lines of “you don’t suck” and Aaron’s is just a tacky dollar store card, it’s a running joke!

But one day they both give him their cards and then immediately walk away and Nicky’s like “???” Because they usually stay to watch him cackle over whatever ridiculous shit is on the card

But this time the cards are different. Hand-made (and therefore not all too decorated…) Nicky is like “aw okay that’s sweet” but when he opens the cards they’re both just… a list of genuine thank-yous from the twins

Needless to say he cries for like 10 minutes straight.

Neil Josten

Eventually Neil starts mailing Mother’s Day cards to Dan, she hangs them up on a cork board (along with a collection of Father’s Day cards Matt has received
