a random snippet to get this out of my head before I forgot.
this will be apart of the mini ficlets for Ania and Jadus' first meeting in Jaded Dreams.
edited: this is canon divergent heavy for imperial agent in this verse.

Nighttime descended. Keeper made his way from his office throughout the building to the Sith HQ with hurried footsteps. The Guards had let him pass into the Sith's sanctum.
"Lord Jadus." he announced his arrival with a knock.
"Come." the Sith commanded with their finger beckoned for him to step inside.
The older man bowed his head respectfully, he approached towards the desk within the middle of the dimly lit office surrounded with flame lights within the corners. He held the datapad that he was carrying to hand it over to the Sith, awaiting for them to take it off.
"Agent Nevrakis' report. I wanted to delivered these to you personally."
The masked visor turned to stare down at the datapad as puff of smoke steamed through the thin holes from the side.
The Keeper scrunched his nose from the tobacco smell before clearing his throat, "There is a matter I was hoping to discuss with you...."
"Such as?"
"About the assignment I sent her on."
The Sith glanced back and forth between the human and the datapad without a second thought, they took the datapad off his hand to toss it aside onto the desk.
The older human was skeptical by this action. He thought this was peculiar as normally Jadus requested for the assignment reports to be delivered to their office to read into it. So what had changed ,then?
"My lord? Are you not going to look into it?"
"I've no reason to." Jadus replied plainly.
"But it's vital that you need to know about Agent Nevrakis' target." The Keeper tried to reason with the Sith.
"There's isn't any "matter" to discuss about, Keeper."
The human made an exasperated huff, feeling dissatified by their response.
"I don't suppose you are fully aware that Agent Nevrakis made an accusation, one that I find it hard to believe, regarding her target was an-"
"An inactive sleeper agent. Devoted to the Sith Emperor at will." they cut him off abruptly, "I know."
Jadus puffed out another smoke and took the e-cigar from underneath the mask as they turned around on the chair to face the Keeper fully.
"Grand Moff Kilran told you?" the Keeper raised a brow.
"No." Jadus said with an amused but short laugh, "I don't see eye for eye with my siblings these days. And I certainly don't hear this through idle gossip by any means."
The Keeper looked surprised. Questioning how did they even know without looking at the report nor Kilran told them about this discovery?
Jadus leaned back against the chair, humouring the Keeper's doubts, "It's not that the Heirs weren't kept in the loop about their father's projects. One had to keep tabs on them during his absence."
The Keeper narrowed his eyes suspciously at their wording before he quickly put two and two together.
"Wait."--he couldn't believe what he's going to find out in a second--"You set Agent Nevrakis up on this assignment?"
Jadus mused for a moment before answering, "I did."
The human scoffed, "Without even consulting with me first?"
"You would had tried to go against my orders," Jadus clasped their hands together with the e-cigar nested between their fingers, "So yes, I did assigned the mission that was reserved to her than anyone else."
He shook his head in disbelief, "Why?"
"Isn't it obvious, Keeper? I wanted to see what she was like, what's her flaws were, how she fares with her strength and abilities, test her limits." They explained, "All part of an observations."
"What's your interest in Agent Nevrakis?"
A pause.
"I'm... rather intrigued by her." they disclosed without revealing anything more.
That proved slightly true for the most part but Jadus wasn't going to reveal everything to Keeper. That was strictly private for a reason. What's their fixated interest in Ania was no business to him.
Jadus was pleased to have finally found her years after they received a vision within the Sith tomb with hopes to build a future to reshape the Empire with Ania by their side, sharing the same ideals and views as they do.
Like they had seen in their vision.
"My lord, might I remind you that she is still a new recruit? She still lacked the discipline and training," The Keeper tried to argue with the Sith in vain attempt to get them to change their mind, "Not to mention you're putting her safety at risk."
"You saw her, Keeper, you also observed her. She can handle herself quite well if you haven't noticed." Jadus countered back, "She didn't enrolled into Intelligence academy not to be taught."
"But her hearing loss wa--"
Jadus rose to their feet, startling the Keeper to stagger back from the desk, with their body engulfed in the aura of the dark side reminding the human of their power as they glared him down with the mask visor.
One more word and Jadus would surely reprimand him for it.
"Was not an issue with me, Keeper. Do not think in the slightest that I had a problem with her disability." they told him sternly, voicing their disapproval at the Keeper's comment, "I'd choose your words quite carefully when you're treading on thin ice." they reminded him of the consequences should he ever cross nor anger them.
Jadus reached over to pick up the file before handing it over the Keeper.
"This is not why I observed her for but something tell me you have not looked at her file properly."
The human took the file and skimmed through her detailed profile, "What am I looking for?"
"Her parents." they told him as they sat back in their chair.
Keeper froze once he found the information he searched upon the profile, he saw the names of the parents. One's a member of the Dark Council and the other's a renowed Wrath. He remained quiet mentally cursed himself, enough to confirm Jadus' answer.
"Force sensitive agents are... rare to come by when one inherited the connection to the Force from their family. But this one? It's remarkable she went undiscovered by other Sith."
Keeper pinched the bridge of his nose with a perplexed sigh. Just what he needed to nurse his headache.
"Even so, you should had informed me about this assignment when I could've assigned someone else more trained to handle this inste--."
"Like who, dare I ask?" Jadus cuts him off again.
"Cipher Nine."
"Ah of course... the Cipher Nine. The most prized trophy of the Imperial Intelligence, even more to my predecessor like the lapdog he was." Jadus remarked sarcastically, "It is rather unfortunate about his end to his services."
Keeper didn't like the sound of this, "What you're talking about?"
"I'm afraid you'll find that Cipher Nine is…"--they continued as they pointed their index finger over to one of the cyborg standing by the door on guard--"Rather indisposed for indefinite future."
Keeper followed Jadus' pointed gaze to the guard in question, then his eyes widen upon the sight of the familiar person donned in cybernetics, alarmed by the fact this was none other than the Cipher Nine.
Keeper lost his voice. He gulped nervously to hide his fear.
"I sense you are riddled with conflict but afraid." Jadus revelled in the Keeper's alarmed fear, "Cipher Nine had paid the price for his consequences for anatognising me. A pitful creature if I might say. I hope for your own sake, Keeper, I trust you will know your place should you ever persist and question my decisions against your better judgement." they warned in a threatening tone.
He swallowed again, turning to face Jadus once more, "I heed your warning loud and clear, my lord."
"Good." Jadus sounded pleased by his cooperation, "I have made my decision to choose Agent Nevrakis as my personal agent, she will be extremely useful to me. I can count on you to follow through than to doubt my superiority, is that understood?"
"Yes, my lord."
Satisifed with Keeper's cooperation despite his resistance, Jadus picked up the e-cigar to take an inhale before puffing out smoke through the mask. The Keeper almost coughed from the strong tobacco scent.
"I expect to summon her within a couple of hours until then, I suggest you get her prepared for me while I have matters to attend to first."
"She will not have much time to prepare, my lord. It's almost getting late."
Jadus stared at Keeper, "Then you best make the time to do so. You're dismissed, Keeper."

Dave Filoni: Ah, the season finale. Let’s see I’ve got the “Bo-Katan’s allowed to walk both paths plot,” the “Bo-Katan’s uniting Mandalore again plot,” the “Bo-Katan gets the darksaber back plot,” and the “Bo-Katan’s rivalry with Moff Gideon plot.” What am I missing?
Dave Filoni: ...
Dave Filoni: *Does a spit take* I FORGOT DIN! Let’s see uhhh, “Din finally does something,” and uhh, I’ll stick a whole mini-montage of him at the end, there! No one will notice, right?

Note
For the mini-fic 12, please.
Send me a ship and one of these and I'll write a mini fic
Thank you for the ask!
The pairing was writer's choice, so I went for a Bo/Fennec pre-relationship, um, bonding moment. Bo is in her cringefail era in this one, and clearly the concept of 'mini' is lost on me.
Prompt: Things you said when you thought I was asleep
Bo loosens her arm around the smaller woman’s waist, and lowers her onto the bed; she looks slim, but her body is all cybernetics and muscle, and she’s not a lightweight. Well, unless it comes to alcohol, apparently.
Bo wipes the strands of hair that have come undone from her braids out of the woman’s face, and gently traces her fingertips from dark brows to fluttering eyelids. A gentle gesture, almost intimate, but Bo doesn’t mean it.
“I’m not here to kill you. Don’t worry,” she mutters under her breath, and carefully lifts one, then the other of the woman’s eyelids. No reaction. Good.
“I’m not here to hurt you, either,” she whispers. “You’re far too pretty. Just a look around, that’s all.” Bo allows herself a moment to appreciate the woman’s features, angular and sharp, the dark color of her lips and skin before, rather unceremoniously, slapping her lightly across the cheeks. Bo holds her breath. Nothing, just even, steady breaths. Good.
She takes one last look at the woman on the bed, but she’s fast asleep. Passed out. Unconscious. Whatever.
“Now, where’s that data? C’mon, where are you?” Bo mumbles, rummaging through the room, opening and turning anything and everything that moves.
She’s telling the truth: She’s not here because she’s tracking down a bounty. Not all Mandalorians are bounty hunters, and certainly not her. Bounty hunters kill, and that’s not what she’s here for. She brought a gun, of course, but she isn’t a gun for hire.
She’s here for a job, one that serves a higher purpose, like she does. That’s it. Step one: Get in. Step two: Find and retrieve the data, something about some hyperlanes in the Outer Rim that Jabba used to control back when he was in charge. Step three: Get out. Easy credits. Credits for resources.
When Bo accepted the job, she knew it meant crossing people she had previously worked with. She doesn’t think twice about Boba Fett, Daimyo to the people of Tatooine, a false Mandalorian and common beskar thief to her; she does think about Fennec Shand, though, whom she fought side by side with on Moff Gideon’s ship. They made a formidable fireteam, Bo, Koska Reeves, Fennec, Cara Dune, each woman just as deadly as the one next to her.
Well. It doesn’t make them friends, she tells herself, over and over again, until she can’t hear the gnawing voice in her head anymore.
Bo huffs. All she needs to find is a console, a datapad, dig through the files—given they were still intact and not wiped—and she could get some sleep, too.
She rubs the back of her head, unsure. She really doesn’t want to go sneaking around in Jabba’s—Boba’s—palace at night. Thinking, she looks at the empty bed in the room.
She looks.
At the bed.
The only bed in the room.
Empty.
The bed, which is the only one here, is empty.
Fuck. No. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Bo spins, eyes searching and head turning frantically, but once she spots the shadow darting towards her, it’s too late.
Her back slams against the nearest wall behind her. A knee in the stomach instantly knocks the wind out of her, and a strong arm against her throat just barely lets her gasp for air.
“No, Fennec, hold on, stop, I can explain—“ Bo shouts and writhes and wriggles, but all it does is earn her another painful kick.
“Oh, you explained plenty when you thought I was asleep, Kryze.” Fennec hisses, eyes narrow, lips tight, her face distorted in cold anger.
“How the fuck are you conscious and standing?!”
“C’mon. Do you really think any cantina patron from here to Mos Eisley will stand by idly while the Daimyo’s right hands gets poisoned with alcohol in front of their eyes?” Fennec laughs, but it’s cold and contemptuous.
Right. Watered down alcohol, because of course. Fuck.
Bo doesn’t reply, there’s really no need. Instead, she raises her hands and holds on to Fennec’s arm in an attempt to loosen her grip just a little.
“You’d make a lousy bounty hunter.” Fennec continues and instead of loosening her grip, she tightens it with every word she spits and hisses at Bo. Bo feels her feet lift off the ground, although she’s in full armor except for her helmet. “You’re barely a common, homeless thief, Kryze.”
Ouch. She holds Bo, suspended mid-air, and trapped between the wall and a body that is as much a weapon as Fennec’s sniper rifle. She can’t breathe, but she welcomes the pain of Fennec’s iron grip over the pain that her words bring.
A common, homeless thief.
She could get angry, put up a fight, struggle, but to what avail? Never wake a sleeping rancor, but here she is, here she has woken one, and now she’s facing the consequences of her actions. This is just one more bad decision she has made out of many, and she would make the next, and the next, and the next.
She can’t wallow in her self-pity for long, though. Fennec gives her a hard shove against the wall before taking a step back and finally releasing Bo from her grip. Bo lands on her knees and catches herself on her hands as she slumps forward, coughing and gasping and coughing and coughing as air floods her lungs again.
She can’t fully recover, either, and screams in shock and surprise when Fennec grabs her by her flaming red hair, and starts dragging her towards the door.
“Fuck! You—fuck!”
“Pretty will talk this out with you in the morning. Tonight, you sleep outside,” Fennec hisses through gritted teeth.
There’s no risk: she can’t run, and Bo knows Fennec knows this. Her ship is locked and out of reach in the palace’s hangar, she doesn’t have nearly enough credits on her to hitch a ride out of here-and she’d never trade even a piece of her beskar armor for one—, and besides, it wouldn’t take the Daimyo and Fennec long to find her.
Her face burns with rage and shame as Fennec drags her through the palace and all the way outside by her hair, while Bo, unable to walk upright, desperately tries not to stumble and fall over her own feet. Most of the palace’s inhabitants are asleep, safe for a few guards. They salute Fennec, politely, curious, but they’re smart enough not to ask.
“Don’t even think about crossing me again, Kryze,” Fennec spits as she drags her through the open palace doors, yanking Bo forward and through them. The sand is coarse on her skin when she hits it face first; her helmet comes flying seconds later and lands beside her.
By the time Bo stirs, Fennec is long gone, and the throbbing on her scalp and throat subsiding. It’s dark and cold outside, but her armor protects her from the worst.
What they don’t protect her from, though, is the heaviness in her chest, the knot in her stomach, and the utter emptiness in her heart.

Dank Farrik! By the time the Mandalorian got him home to the cabin, he was convinced that Grogu had a cold and needed soup, rest, and a bath and not necessarily in that order. Grogu’s plans for a dark and stormy night would have to wait. The bubbles in the tub were just too much fun to play with as long as his dad wasn’t forcing (no pun intended) him to get out before he looked like a dried jogan fruit.
He liked playing with the bubbles. It was definitely a thing a Jedi could do, but no Jedi was encouraged to do it. If you had a delicate hand and were capable of concentration in the midst of so much silliness, you could fashion almost anything out of bubbles.
At the beginning of bath time, when the bubbles were big and sturdy, Grogu made clouds, storms, and oceans out of them. Being in the tub helped a lot for that. It also helped that anytime his dad asked if he was ‘okay in there’, Grogu would cough and sneeze and put on a good act for the Mandalorian to assure him that he wasn’t just sloshing the water around. It should go without saying that he was of course sloshing the water around to make the bubble tidal wave all the more realistic.
As the bath went on, Grogu would build huge starships out of them and pretend that they were galaxy hoppers. Going from one galaxy to the next in a search for the most delicious frog soup he could find. That adventure made him hungry, but he hadn’t tired of the bubbled yet. They were smaller now, and less elastic than the original bubbles, but they were useful, none the less.
Grogu already knew that he was going to go to the Mudhorn festival dressed as Kuiil, but he hadn’t decided which costume his dad would wear. As funny as it would be to have Din wear the custom Fennec had the Anzellans make, pit droids were only frightening to the Mandalorian and having seen the costume, Grogu was certain the word ‘adorable’ would be used more than once to describe the tall human if he wore it. He was not going to be wearing it.
So, Grogu practiced with the bubbles and tested a variety of costume ideas on a bubble version of his dad. Not a full sized version because he didn’t have that much water left in the tub to make fresh bubbles. No, this Bubble-lorian was just a little taller than Grogu. Which allowed him to tweak things after giving them a good once over. He’d found being able to stand in the water he was using for his bubble art made it  last longer.
The first costume he tried was Bo-Katan’s armor. He giggled and shook his head. He didn’t think he could get his had to wear a red wig, but the rest of the armor looked good on him. Then he tried Moff Gideon’s battle suit, but that gave Grogu the creeps. Uff. Then he tried it as half Tusken and half High Magistrate and Yippee! He’d designed the costume for his dad.
He wished that he had his markers with him so he could a quick sketch. He was liable to forget the little details that made it so perfect, like the small pit droids carrying the ends of robes, or the gaffi stick made out of beskar. The best he could do was just stare at it for a minute and try to memorize it.
“Grogu? Are you done yet? I have some nice frog soup for you and then you need your rest.”
Grogu barely paid attention to his dad’s voice, but then he heard the door knob turn and rather than go through a game of ‘lock/unlock/lock’ again, he simply waved his hand and changed the costume on his ‘mini-me’ version of his dad.
“Buddy, I do think you’d look good with a beard some day. But not today. Not even made of bubbles. That’s going to make your soup taste funny.”
Grogu started laughing so hard that he slipped into the water and the bubble version of him dressed as the Mandalorian blew up into gobs of bubbles in the air, floating all around the small room. His dad hadn’t even noticed him and addressed his whole complaint to the Bubble-Gro-lorian. It was the funniest thing Grogu had seen in a long time.
“So much for training and discipline. Come on buddy, use the Force and get up, then we’ll get you dried off. You still need to rest before you come back in here and clean up the mess you made.”
Dank Farrik! That was not The Way! He was sick. His eyes were still red. He had a cough, it just sounded like a cackle. Maybe that Moff Gideon costume was the right one after all…

So already making plans for when my shoulder is all healed up. Namely I have a few projects I've been itching to get at that I haven't been able to do due to ongoing issues (that should be resolved with surgery once everything heals up A-okay). Projects in no particular order below: - Numskull's backstory comic (to include how he meets Pele). This comic already has a set title and the script is almost done - Turn all three of my Mothman inspired Moffs into art dolls for myself - a Wixling based on an Inkcap mushroom - A Life-sized pose-able version of both Numskull and Pele (been wanting to do this for a while) - Rework Pele v1.0 internals so I can puppet her again (she’s pretty fragile cause she was the first hand puppet I ever made & did some things incorrectly during her build that I know how to fix now) - Ammit Pele either as a puppet or a plush (idea from 2015) - Turn Sir Peddington III into a Puppet or Marionette - Remake of Clover Impling (was not please with how the mochi minky turned out & want to redo them in fleece, as well as make some changes to the pattern + no arm rods) - Build Pele v4.0 (this version will have external puppeting controls & I want to try a few new ideas) - Munn Mini-partial - Sort of secret costume project Again, none of these are in order, these are just future projects I want to work on that I haven't had the energy nor the good health to tackle.

Mini-Review of “Thrawn” (2017) by Timothy Zahn by a Legends Fan
I caved, and started reading Timothy Zahn's new Star Wars: Thrawn books, set in the post-Disney canon. It was a hard sell for me, since I'm a big Old Expanded Universe fan, and while I understood at the time why Disney wanted to do their own thing when they bought the franchise, the garbage sequel trilogy did *not* make it worth it, IMO. At least the Disney + series and Rogue One are a *lot* better. Anyway, Thrawn is my all-time favourite character from the old EU/"Legends", and while I was happy he, at least, made the transition to the new canon (still waiting on Mara Jade), Rebels did him dirty, IMO. That dumb cartoon took Thrawn, the tactical genius, renowned for being the "villain" (more of an anti-villain at best) who ran the rebels ragged, who stood out in a universe filled with silly space wizards by using his mind as his weapon, and tried to make a Scooby Do villain out of him, chasing around a bunch of teenagers. So even though they got Thrawn's original creator, Timothy Zahn, to write him again in the novels, I didn't have any high hopes. Even less so when it came out how Disney's been treating Alan Dean Foster in particular, and any other old EU author who's name isn't Timothy Zahn (i.e. denying them royalties while still publishing their books). hollywoodreporter.com/business…alties-disney-1234951422/ Anyway, I'm happy to say that Zahn's writing exceeded my expectations! Of course, I shouldn't have doubted the one author who actually tried to insert some real science fiction ideas into Star Wars, like the mobile mining platform, Nomad City, on a slowly rotating, Mercury-like planet in "Heir to the Empire". The new novel rewrites Thrawn's early years in the Empire, and his rise to Grand Admiral, all the while giving him a new, human friend, an imperial named Eli Vanto, who is officially Thrawn's aide and "translator" (not that he really needs it), but actually his protégé, even if it takes Eli himself a while to realize it.  Thrawn, as a character inspired by Sherlock Holmes, always needs a “Watson” to interpret him.  In the original Thrawn trilogy, that role was played by Captain Pellaeon (who would eventually rise to the rank of Grand Admiral himself in the old EU).  In this novel, that’s Eli’s role.  Eli is quite different from Pellaeon, in that he’s much younger, and not in a command position himself.  He also doesn’t seem to have a lot of Pellaeon’s foresight (like Pellaeon’s distrust of the Noghri and Joruus C’baoth).  It’s still interesting to see the interaction between him and Thrawn.  I do wish the book had gone into a bit more detail about Eli’s own special interest -- mathematics.  I don’t get the impression as-is that his interest is anywhere near Thrawn’s level with art.
Another difference from the old EU, however, is that we do get to see Thrawn’s point of view directly, however.  Again, he seems very Holmes-esque, with Thrawn opening every chapter with an excerpt from him POV, which, we later learn, are parts from his journals.  He also often mentally describes the body language and apparent feelings of the other characters.  As an Autistic person with body language “blindness”, I interpret this as Thrawn having actively taught himself to consciously read others’ body language -- this isn’t something that comes naturally to him, unlike an Neurotypical character.  It’s interesting, and is textual evidence to support reading him as an autistic character, which fits well with his already-suggested neurotype in Legends.
The B plot involves a lot of Imperial politics, and one woman, Arihnda Pryce’s, quest for revenge on the Senator and Moff who screwed her family over. Hers and Thrawn's paths intersect every so often.   I’m not a big fan of other characters constantly thinking Thrawn just sucks at politics.  It seems more an attempt at “Gary Stu” busting than anything else.  Thrawn, while amazing, was never flawless in the old EU (his oversights regarding C’baoth and the Noghri being the most obvious reasons why), so the whole “he’s clueless at politics” angle seems unnecessary, IMO.  I prefer to interpret this plot point as being that Thrawn simply doesn’t care about politics, and others interpret his attitude as not knowing.  It wouldn’t be the first time someone underestimated him.
The thing I'm loving most, though, is that Zahn doesn't have to even bother with the movie characters! Luke, Leia, Han? Who's that? Who cares! The only movie characters who have even made an appearance are Palpatine and Grand Moff Tarkin, and then, they were little more than "guest stars" for a single chapter each.  Palpatine in particular seems to have far less of a role in Thrawn’s career than in the old EU, and their working relationship isn’t as strong.  It’s unfortunate, but I don’t think the Empire of the Hand is ever getting off the ground in this universe -- that was a demonstration of Palpatine’s trust in Thrawn, and eventually it became something far more in the old EU, even with other authors besides Zahn not quite knowing what to do with it, and by the New Jedi Order series, pretty much ignoring its existence.  The point here is that Disney’s version of Palpatine would never trust Thrawn to set up his own shadow Empire.  Probably because the Yuuzhan Vong invasion isn’t a thing in this version -- another unfortunate change.  They would have made much more interesting villains in the sequel trilogy than the craptacular Empire wannabe First Order and Emo Ren.
Thrawn himself is the same genius I remember. In one instance, rebels are holed up on an island on some backwater planet, with tough planetary shields Thrawn's Star Destroyer's turbolasers can't get through. The rebels, however, did not shield the surrounding ocean, so Thrawn targets a few spots on the surrounding ocean floor, and lets the tsunamis his turbolasers create take care of the rebels for him. It's just as brilliant a tactic as anything from the original Thrawn trilogy.  However, we also get far more of a sense of just what a great leader Thrawn is, and much more of a sense of how important everyone under his command is to him, which was a lot more subtle in the original Thrrawn trilogy, only really becoming obvious in the Hand of Thrawn duology.  Ultimately, his character is really what’s most important.  That’s what made him stand out in the old EU in the first place, after all.
Like "The Mandalorian", and "Rogue One" “Star Wars: Thrawn” proves there's so much more to that Galaxy Far Far Away than just the Skywalker Soap Opera. It's a much needed reminder, especially since those types of stories tend to be the better ones in Star Wars.

FAQ
What should I be judging characters on?
Whatever you want. How much you like the character. How good it is as representation. Some combination of the two. We just hope you take the time to read the description written for each character so that the non-movie characters have a fighting chance.
2. Why is the bracket organized the way it is?
The bracket is broken up first by continuity. First Legends characters and characters from the novel Ronin will compete amongst themselves. Once only one of them remains, they’ll be integrated into the main tournament next round. The New EU tournament is also broken up with the idea of reverse seeding, making the most popular characters compete against each other in the first round to keep them from dominating the tournament. There are two other “mini-brackets”, one consisting of all of Doctor Aphra’s exes and the other consisting of all of the non-binary bounty hunter bosses from Jedi Survivor. There are also two scripted matches: Moff Moors vs Aleskin/Pavol for being kind of problematic and Adrellia/Odellia vs Thandeka/Dima as the two generations of Eiram queens are pretty similar. Beyond that, all matches are decided randomly. If there are ever an even number of passes occurring in the entire tournament, things will be reshuffled even if it involved someone competing outside of their heat. After the first round, there may be some shuffling of the bracket to prevent passes where possible.
3. Why are some characters running as a couple?
When a couple doesn’t have many individual character traits and have really only appeared in stories together, they will be competing as a pair. This only really applies to supporting characters, as main character ships will have individually defined characters.
4. Why did you use x identity?
Specific orientation labels are difficult in Star Wars, as they do not exist in-universe. We’ve used wlw/mlm when a character has expressed same-gender attraction but there has been no textual or authorial clarification that they don’t have different gender-attraction.. Playersexual is a term when it comes to representation in video games describing characters whose only expressed attraction is to the player character in a non-gender locked romance. I elaborate on this decision here, as well as link a video on the topic by a bisexual person. If mistakes were made regarding author clarification regarding labels or instances of different gender attraction were missed, please let us know. However, only asks/DMs with sources included will be considered.
5. Why did/didn’t you include x?
Characters are only included if they have textual or word of god evidence of them being queer. Characters who have only been mentioned were decided on a case by case basis based on how much is known about them. Characters who are named and appear in a story were automatically included, regardless of how minor their role was. Characters with alternate alien gender systems were included, with such things being specified in their label.
Kallus and Zeb: While Kallus and Zeb seem like a prototypical heavily implied by not actually confirmed same gender ship, it was decided to include them without official clarification because the canon ships Flix/Orca and Chass/Yrica have the same level of textual evidence, but were meant as romantic relationships. If Kallus and Zeb were a f/m couple it would be considered obvious that they were together. This is different from something like Finnpoe, which doesn’t have quite as much textual support. Or even Chirrut/Baze, where the novelization has them think of each other as brothers.
Ahsoka Tano: The Ahsoka novel gets right up to the line of establishing that Ahsoka reciprocates Kaeden’s feelings. The author, EK Johnson, was simply limited it being awkward to fit a full romance in the story and the requirement of the story group. We weren’t quite in the era yet where a well known character could be quietly established as queer in a book.
X’ian/the male Twi'lek server in BoBF: They weren’t included in the bracket because it's unknown if the costuming details that make them seem trans are supposed to be diegetic. They will have to wait for an author to take the detail and make it canon.

things that were great
bo's entire arc was so good
the action sequences
grogu getting more involved
return to sundari
elia is a great villain
they finally cut back on cameos
things that were not great
it was super weird how they didn't address the retcon of grogu being back and it completely undermined all the pathos and tension in their relationship
the dialogue the whole season was bad and unnatural to the point of distraction. people don't talk like that. highschool student written theatre level bad
it was a bad decision to "redeem" din immediately just to hurry the plot along, it destroyed any potential for him to actually grow or change or have any emotion and it was anticlimactic
jon doesn't seem to know anything about mandalorians at all. all the lore bits in the script were weird and off and they didn't act towards each other like they've acted in every other star wars
episode to episode the mini-plots were sloppy, poorly paced and badly written. felt like the first draft was the one they shot
the conclusion of the moff gideon stuff was rushed and unsatisfying
politically the show is very confused. every moment of meta-commentary they tried to have was scary bad and didn't make any sense
jon gave din nothing to do or feel. he's a dead character, he's completely static. he has no inner conflict and it makes him incredibly boring. it would have been so obvious and easy to give him a parallel redemption arc
very obviously a series where the plot drives the characters instead of the characters driving the plot. the only reason bo's arc worked out is because she is a pre-existing character who came with all that nuance and complexity loaded beforehand. jon could not write her from scratch

MINI HEADCANON.  Related to this post,  once Vencikye finds out that she’s being targeted by Moff al Trel and that Pienna’s desire for revenge has already led to several deaths and injuries,  she is downright paranoid about her safety and that of her loved ones,  as well as the safety of just about anyone who associates with her.  She goes by a different alias on each mission,  as well as dyeing her hair a different color and changing its style for every single trip.  Once the war is over and the New Republic is established she does return to her true name and appearance,  but part of her is always afraid that Pienna al Trel will just show up on her doorstep.  Illogical as it is,  she doesn’t feel entirely safe until Pienna is caught by New Republic authorities eleven years later.

spoiler-free space hobo show post: the first 10 mins were extremely awkward (a combination of the celebrity-as-themselves-cameo + the dialogue coming off Odd for some reason + really shoving the Christmas thing down our throats in a way that felt Annoying to me) but it gradually picked up after that and i ended up thoroughly enjoying it as i was watching it. felt like a sort of mini-homage to both the moff and chibs eras with the combo of the fairytale vibe + framing + the entire Thing that happened when the [SPOILER] appeared in Ruby's flat and also the heaping helping of TTC stuff. also "I'M LEARNING THE VOCABULARY OF ROPE!!!!" is my new fave dw line
anyway overall i liked it and would watch again

Esposito, Gunn, David, Swallow among Next Wave of Celebrities to Attend FAN EXPO Portland in January
Tumblr media
FAN EXPO Portland today announced its next wave of celebrity guests, and with eight additions to the standout roster that already includes favorites from across many fandoms, there will be something—and someone—for everyone at this year’s convention, set for January 12-14, 2024, at the Oregon Convention Center.
Joining the annual pop culture extravaganza are Giancarlo Esposito (“The Mandalorian,” “Breaking Bad), Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, “Avengers: Infinity War”), Keith David (The Thing, The Princess and the Frog), Emily Swallow (“The Mandalorian,” “Supernatural”), Jeff Ward (“One Piece,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Titus Welliver (“Bosch,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Ethan Suplee (“My Name is Earl,” Remember the Titans) and Eman Esfandi (“Ahsoka,” King Richard).
The prolific veteran film, television and stage actor, director and producer Esposito, in addition to his role as “Moff Gideon” on the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” is well known by television audiences for his iconic portrayal of drug kingpin “Gus Fring” in AMC’s critically acclaimed award-winning series “Breaking Bad.” Some of Esposito’s most memorable performances can be seen in films such as Rabbit Hole, The Usual Suspects, Smoke, The Last Holiday and Spike Lee’s films Do the Right Thing, Mo’ Better Blues, School Daze and Malcolm X.
Gunn played "Kraglin" in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and its sequels in 2017 and this year, as well as providing the physical performance via motion capture for "Rocket Raccoon" in the films plus Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder. He also portrayed "Kirk Gleason" throughout the seven-year run of "Gilmore Girls" among his 60+ acting credits.
David co-starred as “Childs” in the 1982 horror classic The Thing opposite Kurt Russell and Wilford Brimley. He has won three Emmys and is a Tony award nominee. In addition to a solid body of on-screen live action work in films such as 21 Bridges, Crash and Platoon, he has made quite a name in voice acting, lending his talents to feature films like The Princess and the Frog and the Ken Burns documentary Jackie Robinson among hundreds of credits.
With her portrayal of “The Armorer” in “The Mandalorian” in the hit Netflix series “The Mandalorian,” Swallow added another role to her growing resume. She also appeared as “Kim Fischer,” a regular on “The Mentalist” and as “Amara / The Darkness” in the 11th season of “Supernatural.” She also lent her voice to the role of “Lisa Tepes” in the animated Netflix fantasy action series “Castlevania.”
Ward currently stars as “Buggy” in the action Netflix series “One Piece,” following up on a three-year, 45-episode spin in “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” as “Deke Shaw,” the complex character who proved popular with fans. He also co-starred in the 2021 Netflix horror/drama mini-series “Brand New Cherry Flavor” and portrayed Charles Manson in the Lifetime TV movie “Manson’s Lost Girls” in 2016.

Suplee has had nearly 100 film and TV roles, from comedies like the Kevin Smith productions Mallrats, Dogma and Clerks III, “My Name is Earl,” and “Boy Meets World” to dramas such as Remember the Titans and The Butterfly Effect.
Esfandi co-starred opposite Rosario Dawson, David Tennant and Mary Elizabeth Winstead in this year’s Disney+ miniseries “Ahsoka,” part of the Star Wars universe. He has also been seen in King Richard with Will Smith and The Inspection with Jeremy Pope and Gabrielle Union.
The eight are added to a strong FAN EXPO Portland celebrity roster that includes Jon Bernthal (“The Punisher,” “The Walking Dead”), the “Charmed” duo of Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan, the "Daredevil" tandem of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, Lana Parrilla (“Once Upon a Time,” “Spin City”), Danny Trejo (Machete, The Book of Boba Fett), Peter Cullen (Transformers), Jason Lee (Vanilla Sky, Almost Famous) and Peter Weller (RoboCop, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.
