Some sort of mob subspecies :^)

Bolt creepers are relatively skittish alone, but will cause mayhem in packs. They live in subtropical dry areas, blending themselves into the sand and canyons. They are around 2-3 ft tall. They launch themselves towards a target like a bolt and explode upon contact.

Dynamites are the most well known subspecies. Living in temperate and polar zones, they have adapted themselves to live in caves just as well as on the surface. They stand at the height of an adult man.

If you were afraid of the dynamite, be prepared for the rocket. Standing at twice the size of the dynamite, they use this to blend in with the rainforest environment they live in. Cultures from these regions often times call them an Elder species, which is definitely reasonable.

What connects all these subspecies together is that they will stalk you dead at night, waiting to pounce. But still, all of them will make a run for it when a feline is nearby.

Also, the rocket is implemented into Minnjörð already. : )

Godslayer Wardens are the most known subspecies. They live in the deep dark of snowy mountain ranges. Their name comes from how the Wither was slain by one of them. Easily either the strongest or second strongest.

Desert wardens have advanced hearing and ventilation, but weak smell. While being the smallest warden [5-6 ft average], they are the most nimble. You can hide, but you can't run from them. Maybe not as powerful as the others, but can still maul you, if it hears you.

Star-nosed have such thick skin that their spines don't protrude anymore. This makes them pack a lethal hit with their powerful shoulder muscles and claws combined, but their sonic boom is p weak. Also, their nose tentacles can detect the smallest electrical fields. Lo and behold the Godslayer competitor - they stand at a towering height of 10-11 ft.

Windswept live underneath gravelly mountains and cliffs. They have an incredible sense of smell unlike any other warden species, so take a bath before traveling down there. They like to dig nests in gravel piles.

The inventory is, basically, a really complex form of arcane manipulation that certain creatures use to store things within their souls. Players seem to have the best mastery over the concept, hence their extremely large inventories, and the limitations of the inventory are done both to prevent the raw arcane energy from mixing in weird ways (for example, you don't stack equipment because you could end up accidentally diluting the enchantments over several pieces of equipment), and to try and make the most out of the available space.

As for why you lose everything upon death, that's because when respawning, the soul briefly phases out and back into reality, making everything within it just drop back into the world.

This a great and complex explanation that I am now stealing for my personal headcanons! I love it!

Headcanons abt the new Minecraft default squad!



Steve

- Just so happy to have friends :) He spent years alone before Alex showed up and now he’s got a whole BUNCH of people in his life!

Alex

- While the newbies are still learning the ropes, Alex fills the role of a mentor for them. Despite not having been around as much as Steve, Alex is a better fighter, and they care deeply about making sure the new folks are safe

Sunny

- Easygoing, likes to take their time. They believe that the journey is more important than the destination

- Women want them, fish fear them. Loves to just sit down with a rod for a few hours. Thinks AFK fish farms disrespect the craft (of fishing)

- While everyone else upgrades to axes, they keep punching trees—their prosthetic arm is just as effective as most tools for collecting wood!

Kai

- Laidback, doesn’t talk much, but generally quite likeable and trusty

- Loves the slow repetitive work of farming. They find it meditative, and would be quite happy to just stick to that—though they’ll branch out if xer friends encourage them.

Makena

- Always happy to help! Often helps her friends with their projects when she’s free

- The group’s unofficial delivery person, they enjoy the excuse to stretch their legs and chat up everyone

- They spend a lot of their free time collecting flowers to make brightly colored dyes. She made most of the others’ clothes, and takes great pride in her creative endeavors

Zuri

- Terrified of creepers, but their pet cat is not particularly bothered with her job of scaring them away. They’re a total cat dad and dote on animals

- Tends to stick around Efe—both because they’re close friends, and because Efe’s fighting skills have saved his life more times than he can count

- Very polite and friendly! They’re a total sweetheart and everyone loves them.

Efe

- A naturally gifted fighter who could probably beat Alex if they’d been training as long. Much prefers fighting alongside their friends, though

- Loves swimming! She often goes out to coral reefs to watch the fish at work. When she finds sunken ruins, she brings the loot back to the others to share

- Their hair is natural, but sometimes they use lilac dye to make the color even brighter

Ari

- Takes to elytra as if born wearing them! She’s a talented flier, and frequently challenges the others to races and increasingly dangerous obstacle courses

- Short-tempered and foul-mouthed, but has a heart of gold

- They’re very close with Noor, and often check in to remind them to take breaks on his expeditions

Noor

- Loves to explore, especially caves

- Mining is their special interest! They know the best coords to mine for every different resource, a variety of strategies, and which biomes affect ore generation

- They see Steve down in the tunnels a lot. But whenever they try to go up to him, he seems to have disappeared. Whenever they try to talk to Steven about it, they seem confused. Still, Noor likes having company in the mines, even if the company is strangely quiet and distant.

I've come to the conclusion after spending almost an entire irl-day in the nether that netherrack is more or less dried peat.

It has a spongy but dry material, and consists of decayed bio-matter. This is in line with both the aesthetic and lore of the Nether.

Dried peat blocks are used as a replacement for coal, and burn for a very long time! Historically, they've kept lots of people in Ireland and surrounding areas warm throughout cold winters. (Pertaining to the fact that if you light netherrack on fire, it won't go out.)

Nylium seems to be a nether version of mycelium. Its roots dig into the netherrack and make it easier to mine, and fungus-- which has its role in the ecosystem as breaking down bio-matter-- grows so well that it sprouts tree-sized mushrooms.

In conclusion, netherrack is dried peat-- most likely dried due to the heat of the nether. Thank u

deep dark headcanon that explains deep dark biomes INCLUDING those without cities in them

here goes so, for context, i like to believe that the "portal" is not actually much of a portal per se, or at least not to another dimension. I believe calling it a "gateway" would be more apt. The way the nether and end are different dimensions entirely is not what I imagine is on the "other side" of that portal. I think its another plane of the overworld, the astral/spirit plane. Thats my headcanon right there. That you... may not even be able to go through, and its more of a way to interact with an afterlife of sorts, or a... more dreamy, non-matter... parts of the overworld anyways, heres what i think: sculk is a fungus-mold that forms in certain areas of the world (deep dark biomes) that are weak points (potential access points), where the plane of the spirit world is almost overlapping, almost accessible and becoming tangible. the overlap of the spirit and material realm causes strange anomalies to happen, such as the growth of sculk if you wanted to look at it ANOTHER, similar, adjacent way, you could say deep dark biomes are where its actually... that instead of things being able to pass on to the spirit plane and become non-matter, their souls stay as physical matter in the world, not quite being able to ascend to the spirit plane, which results in the growth of sculk. It feeds off of the souls that cannot make it to the afterlife, giving them a cruel afterlife of sorts, to help expand itself but hey... at least the wretched afterlife of becoming part of the sculk means that you can hear well... and you're certainly well protected, by the most strong willed of the souls... (though tbh, i really do prefer sculk being some sorta lab accident (i love when lab accidents make really fucked up things in games a la true lab undertale, and other games i wont spoil)

Warden propaganda time

My warden interpretation is just... a territorial, overgrown mole-sloth. They sleep 22 hours a day, only waking up to find food, socialize, and defend their territory.

They're omnivores - they find their way to the nearest lush caves to feed on glow berries, or hunt down anything a shrieker will notify them about.

Some people still don't believe they exist. I mean, can you blame them?

This certain Warden is still alive, to this day, and it's been thousands of years since the first era.

This Demigod Warden started the first era by ending the first Withering plague.

Thanks to this individual Warden, this Warden subspecies has been commonly referred to as "the Godslayers".

It's said that he understands human language, and has been in a deep slumber ever since, somewhere in the lowest caves of Minnjörð...

The Hermitcraft ‘medic’

Now not all servers have medics, most private large servers do (such as Ponk on Dsmp). The medics role is to either give someone a quick death and painless if they have infinite respawn and it’d be easier to heal from the respawn than the injury. But if infinite respawn isn’t an option (once again like the dsmp) they heal people to the best of their ability. They all swear an oath to keep players away from perma-death no matter who they are. The largest servers have actual hospitals (such as hypixel).

So on Hermitcraft who’s the medic? I’m so glad you asked! I have a handful of possible headcanons.

1. Doc. I cannot stress this enough but this man is not a medical doctor. He can make stellar prothstetics but he can’t tell lungs from hearts no matter how much he tries to convince us with Doctor literally being in his name. do not let him near your broken arm because you will wake up with a prothstetic instead (yes this did happen to ren[no neither regret it])

2. Stress, she technically doesn’t have the training necessary but! She mostly heals using magic because you cannot convince that she is not a Druid. She’d be quite good at it! You would be healed but the likelihood plants rising up is small, but never zero.

3. GEM! Where’s this coming from? Well! GeminiTay has a bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory technologies IRL! So I feel Gem gets to the server she looks at Druid Stress trying her best and Doc ‘how many people can I convince I’m a medical doctor’ m77 and just sighs. She has Stress on as a nurse together they’ve been trying to get Mumbo and Etho to stop eating Redstone (because it is very toxic)

4. Keralis, resident therapist, very important on Hermitcraft

5. X, he has admin magic, enough to heal him as needed but it’d probably fry a normal persons immune system.
