Like if I'm being HONEST my ideal Riveradult scenario would have been Betty does hook up with Archie one night, and immediately has a crushing realization that gets therapy talk-vocalized that she's at the wrong house and Archie is all worried like "Oh do you regret what we did" and Betty is like "No! Ofc not Arch I love you it's just. Oh god there's somewhere else I should be." And she speeds out and we cut to something else of lesser importance for a minute probably and Then Veronica opens her door and Betty is there like 5x03 and they have another tearful reunion no words this time or maybe Betty starts saying something and Veronica jumps in her arms right right are you still with me? Okay and then they go inside and have their own version of a coupled off reminiscent little talk and Betty is like V I have to confess something and Veronica is like what is it B and she tries to articulate but she can't so she just PLANTS one on her and Veronica reciprocates and does the thumb on the chin thing when she kisses you know the one and then well. And then ✂️✂️✂️✂️

just curious, but do you have any predictions for the riverdale finale?? Honestly, I am waffling between two spaces, the "my bar is a tripping hazard in hell and who really cares" space and the "some things are interesting" space.

As for predictions, I really don't like to buy into twitter gossip, but my thought is maybe they'll take them back to high school? I've said before I feel a retcon a-coming, if only for Tabitha's implication that they have to go back to when things were good, and the very high-school garb we've seen Jug in. And if the finale is their one last shot to preserve SOME rewatchability and not HIMYM it, retconning a lot and putting at least Choni and VA together, with Bughead as an open ended, that'd be my prediction. Don't misunderstand, I am expecting next to nothing, but if I had to make a very general prediction, that'd be it.

When and where that'll be, I don't know. In the last few seconds? Last half? Who knows. I know they don't shoot in order, so it's really tough to tell. Either way, whatever the amount they retcon, it's going to be retconning at least SOME of the BA, so I doubt the most devout of BAs will be happy.

11. Who do you think is the most underrated character?

man i have GOT to say Veronica and Josie like another of the mutuals did. they are just my everything and they DON’T get their dues. I’m so interested in them as characters, I don’t believe they’re really explored enough honestly (not to say I find Betty boring sometimes but…). And I’m also especially interested in their relationships with Archie, they’re some of my absolute favorites in the show, and I think each of them reflects and relates with some of my favorite aspects of his character in really really great and fascinating ways. I think I’ve kind of gotten myself completely isolated from whatever Archie hate there is out there, but I certainly believe it exists, and if I saw more of it I would definitely say Archie as well. Big fan of Fangs too tbh, not much to him but he’s a joy to have on screen.

ALSO, answering this seperately for the riverPARENTS, because I 🫶🫶 Mayor McCoy (legal first name Mayor, later changed to Attorney) and Hermione Lodge and I do believe they are severely underrated.

6. Which musical episode is your favorite?

God I love all of them, but it’s got to be Wicked Little Town, HANDS DOWN my favorite. I am a very strict barchie hater, I really can’t stand them, HOWEVER, I love the drama, and the tragedy that I know what’s coming, what the fallout of this is going to be. Besides that, it’s the first, and kind of the only, musical episode that really encompasses the whole town. You have everybody—at Pop’s, the parents, etc—singing Wicked Little Town which I’m pretty obsessed with that beginning sequence; you have Cheryl singing Sugar Daddy at Pop’s. It really gets them out of the auditorium, making it more fully a musical episode! I also listen to the music from this one all the time so I also just like the music the best, but yeah, even though it’s super cut down in the actual episode, it gave us the core four Origin of Love which I couldn’t live without, which in turn gave us the core four Origin of Love AMV; it gave us Archie gay kiss #2, it gave us almost gay Principal Honey, formerly Jack from Dawson’s Creek, I could go on, it’s one of my favorite episodes of tv, and a highlight of the fourth season which is generally NOT a favorite of mine. OH, and it gave us “there’s a problem that comes when you get caught up on your homework. Your mind wanders… and evil creeps back in.” which is one of my favorite lines ever in the show and my instagram bio.

Leakers are reporting that the evil in riverdale was brought through when Betty and Jughead tried to recreate Barchie's love from 6.05. I don't know how we come back from that unless we truly reset back to the mines. They can't be the root of the evil they just cant!

So that's what the weird tweets I saw were about? Well if that's the moment evil was brought over, I'd say it's the evil killer Archie crossing over into the universe.

But also I'll take evil Bughead over boring ass barchie so... 🤷‍♀️

My current OTP is Gallavich! (Ian and Mickey from the show “Shameless” !)

A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.

Sterek! (Stiles and Derek from “Teen Wolf” !) Watching the show the first time around, I was all about Stydia (Stiles and Lydia), and I still love them. On a few more watch throughs I took the advice of an online pal of mine, and definitely was surprised at how I couldn’t see the chemistry before! Love them.

A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't.

Outerbanks! I’m literally obsessed. I can’t thank the “For You” section enough for introducing me to that show.

I love everyone I have interacted with so far, there is always gonna be a bad apple, but I think for the most part the fandoms I’m in seem great!

If what is happening now is indeed a parallel universe and something that is not real, do you think these ships will be over once we get to the real riverdale?

I mean, they must explain the reason why these particular ships happened in the first place, no matter the universe. Even if they all have broken up by the finale, there’s still some explanation needed, right? If so, what do you think the explanation will be?

upfront i gotta be honest, i could not honestly care less how or why any of these new couples break up.

that being said, if it's some sort of non-prime riverdale universe everything would depend on where it goes and the circumstances. which is the whole of it, really. all explanations depend on the scenario itself.

going by a popular theory: if they go back to the mines in 5x17 then none of the couples would be together since they're going back to before they did the 180 in 18 and 19 of s5 for the event so any explanation wouldn't really be about the couples, you know?

and given that the bomb under the bed is not a set point (set points have been mentioned more than once at this point) i think we're going to have a set point come up in later episodes.

if you go by other ideas: wonky timeline, it's still the vale, bringing in some of the comics, etc, then we don't know what the solution is so the explanations would still be in the air. don't get me wrong, i think there will be explanations but without knowing what precedes it, it's hard to say what that would be.

i do think there's a lot of side-eyeing the bomb(s) themselves. especially since the vale starts with archie dreaming about the bomb and ends with him trying to bring his dad back. given that, at this point, it's implied he was alone at the point of the creation of rivervale, i can see why. and given that betty thinks archie was holding her when it went off and archie doesn't remember it, it's all very suspicious. add into that some of the comic stuff that feels familiar and yeah, i feel like we should all have questions and expect explanations. i just don't know what any of them are.

Hi Alex, some Riverdale fans said that after the finale of season 6 we will be back to 5x17? Is that true?

This has been a popular theory for a while with some members of the fandom, I believe stemming to the idea that reversing back to 5x17 -- and that this is all some sort of hallucination caused by the mine explosion -- would allow for the show to jump over to Bughead and Varchie instead of every other coupling (specifically Jabitha and Barchie) and event that has happened since. Maybe there's more evidence for it, but I believe that's the general idea there. Other than it looking like some scenes take place in the mines towards the end of the season, this is just a fan theory.

I have a theory going around for the season finale... hope it makes sense lol.

If we are trapped in between parallel universes, that means that while we are in this version of Riverdale the "Real Riverdale" is coexisting but we don't know for sure what is going on in there.

So what if the gang defeats Percival and we go back to the normal Riverdale but not to the moment we left (5x17 with Archie Trapped in the mines and Cheryl's course) but to what's currently happening.

What happened to the characters while we were in this new version of Riverdale?

That's the mystery we get to unfold in the season finale.

Which ships will be together? Maybe none of them, maybe bughead choni and varchie, maybe barchie, veggie and tangs, who knows?

But it sets the theme for the next and final season.

Age Gap: -8

This one is something I find incredibly disgusting in real life and in most stories, too. If the age gap is huge and one of them is below the age of 25. But if the age gap exists because one is a human and the other is an entity or supernatural being, I'm totally in favour.

Codependency: 10

I know this is a polemic one, but I don't agree with how most people view codependency. In my opinion, as someone who believes in soulmates and romantic love being the greatest thing a living being could ever experience, codependency seems like a natural part of it to me. Dependency is very toxic when one-sided, but when it is mutual, it makes a lot of sense. To me at least! How could one survive without their soulmate? There is no life without them. That's exactly how I feel about mine.

Enemies to lovers: -9

I find this one irritating at best and borderline toxic at worst. There are some rare stories where it works (Dramione and Tomione, for example, love those), but I dislike it very strongly overall.

Enemies With Benefits: nope

I'm demisexual, so nope. It makes no sense to me. Sex is the greatest connection a human can have with another; it is magical. I don't understand how one could ever do it with someone they do not love, let alone hate. I can't even read this one. It's a real nope.

Fake Dating/Relationship: -5

I wouldn't read anything with this trope because I only read what I love, but I've watched a few silly movies with it. I didn't have to really use my brain; it was fine. It's a silly and unrealistic trope, but it's not bad or anything.

Found Family: 10

Love it. As someone who is strongly against the idea that blood equals family, this one makes me super happy!

Friends to Lovers: 5

This one depends. I really dislike the childhood friends who've never been interested in one another and suddenly fall in love. It makes no sense. Or when one of them has had a crush on the other since childhood and it's completely one-sided, but they end up together anyways because the writer is incompetent, especially if there was a better option for one of them or both. *cough* Barchie *cough*

But, if done right, this trope can be quite beautiful.

Friends with Benefits: nope

Again, sex is love. In my opinion. So nope.

Hurt/Comfort: 10

This is one of my favourites. All stories need at least a little bit of it to be good. I love it!

Love Triangle: nope

C'mon, I believe in soulmates. Loving two people at the same time makes no sense to me. And this one is horribly executed most of the time, too.

Mistaken/Hidden Identity: -5

This one paired with slowburn is the recipe for driving me insane. I'm so sorry for all the Ladybug fans. I could never. I'm too impatient.

Monster Fu... Relationship: 10

I don't know what the 'Fu' stands for, so I hope I'm understanding this correctly. But I love monsters. Especially as romantic interests. And even more so if they're incredibly powerful and ancient. Vampires, to be more exact. I love vampires. I don't know if entities and gods are included in this, though, but I love those even more than vampires. I don't like werewolves, zombies, or Frankenstein-like monsters, though.

Obsession, Possessiveness, etc: nope/10

I have two different ratings for this one because if obsession and possessiveness come with control and abuse, I hate it. It's disgusting and a nope. But if it's more of an "I love you so much I want to crawl beneath your skin", or a possessiveness that expresses itself in protectiveness and needing to keep the one you love safe, then I love it, and it is a 10.

Opposites (like grumpy x sunshine, etc): 2

This one can be really cliche, but it's cute. It doesn't annoy or bother me, but I'm not a fan of it either. It's whatever.

Poly: nope

Respect it. But it's a nope for me.

Pregnancy: nope/10

Another one with two, opposite ratings.

If it includes any type of misogyny, it's a nope. Like Bella almost dying in Twilight in order to give birth to Renaissance instead of getting rid of her. Like? If my life is at stake, I choose me. And so should all women. We should never sacrifice ourselves for our children or prioritise them above ourselves. That is a concept created by the patriarchy. It is misogyny. And it makes me really fucking mad. So if it involves any type of misogyny, I give it the most negative rating I could ever give to any trope. It's the one I hate the most.

But if the pregnancy comes as the fruit of an unconditional, epic love while the woman remains a free and independent character with a personality and a life outside of the child, then I do love it. Especially if both parents remain in love and prioritise each other first while being amazing parents to their children. It's a 10. All the precious and fragile things'verse (Morpheus x OC) is a perfect example of this.

Second Chance: 8

I love angst and tragedy with a happy ending, so a second chance is mandatory. But if cheating or betrayal of any kind is involved, it's a nope. One of the biggest nopes, in fact.

Sex to Feelings: 0

I can tolerate it if the romance builds beautifully afterwards, but I prefer feelings to sex.

Slowburn: 0

There are some I have loved. Percy and Annabeth were one of my first OTPs, but the slowburn almost made me lose my mind. I'm not patient enough for this one. I admire people who are, though. It can be beautiful, but to me, it is maddening.
