When you came up with these mikus did you have a particular song/irl producer in mind for each/any? (If not, is it ok to share headcanons..?)

kind of, yeah! i didn’t want to do any 1-to-1s, but ill share my inspirations. i’d love to hear your headcanons, though!! i aimed to make designs that could have a wide range of interpretations so it’d make me happy to share what kinds of songs you think each miku would sing :)

for the most part though, i tried to make mikus that reflected the popular miku songs in 2017-2018! some of them (esp starting out) ended up being based more on idol-anime-character-tropes or aesthetics though lol... details under the cut

ngl she was the first one i designed before i had the thought of “oh i should be aiming these towards like specific producers or song or genres” and i just really wanted to make a catgirl

that said, i think she’d sing fun and high-energy songs, or songs with a mischievous energy. catwalk envy-type, really

splitting up the rock genre was kinda hard but bright is for what i call “bright rock” which is not a real term but it makes sense to me. like rock songs that sound more determined than defeated

i also ended up realizing i was basically going for leo/need miku lol.

out of the 1M+ songs from 2017-2018, she was mostly based off Hibana, Ai Kotoba and Teo, and I could also see her singing songs like BEAT SYNCER and Dither Tune

on the flipside, Null started as “dark rock” (also not a real term) but ended up veering more towards “unhinged rock”. a catch-all for all the edgy cryptic songs really

producers like kairiki bear, syudou, utsu

out of the 1M+ songs from 2017-2018, she was mostly based off songs like 404: False Image, Baka, Teresuto Teresu, Sekai Saishinkou Tokku

sunshine was split off of Null’s initial concept of “dark rock”, this time veering on the sad side- rock/light rock songs that sound more defeated than determined.

Invader Zim Pokémon AU redone:

IZ Pokémon au: everything is the same Zim gets banished and is still pretending to be a human except! He gets it in his head that he must defeat the Pokémon league, and become a Pokémon master in order to take over the world!

...And he’s actually very good at it! much to Red and Purple’s shock as he calls them every once in a while to tell them how his “mission” is going. They are very envious of Zim’s trophy shelf, filled with medals, tournament plaques, contest ribbons and shiny shiny badges, so much so, that they’re actually considering going to earth, starting their own Pokémon journey. (Zim sent them his Ditto who Purple affectionately named ‘Slushy’ to play with, now Purple won’t stop bugging Red about it!)

Prof. Membrane is well still a Professor, His main rival is Dib (Gaz is the eighth Gym leader) however, they have been known to team up to fight Tak’s evil organization Team Wrest who trying to steal Zim’s Mission and pokemon from him.

Zim’s Team: shiny Treecko [starter] Inkay, Ferroseed, Zorua, Joltik, “Mimikyu” (Gir in disguise.) and an actual Mimikyu, (and he had a Ditto but he gave it to the Tallest.)

Gir’s team: Trubbish, Goomy, and Spinda [caught on accident with Pokéballs he found laying around, Sometimes Zim borrows them.]

Skoodge’s Team: Muk, Wooper and Brumy. (again Zim barrows them too sometimes]

Dib’s team: Froaky [starter] Beldum, Blipbug, Blitzel, Rotom, Litwick.

Gaz’s team: Stunky, Spoink, Poochyena, Noibat, Croagunk, Sableye

Tak’s team: Purrloin, Glameow, Houndour Meowth (Galar), Espurr (male), Impidimp.

(and Mimi is disguised as a Purrloin, Tak also has a Stunfisk (galar), Mawlie and Woobat and other Pokémon stored in Mimi’s head, when she needs to switch things around.)

Update!: Okay So after Purple finally convinces Red to go Earth, albeit with better and believable human disguises, the two set off to catch up with Zim, and are enjoying their vacation, Red is slaying the gyms! while Purple is all about the Contests.

Tallest Red’s team: Snorlax, Honedge, Hawlucha, Clobbopus, Grubbin, Applin.

Tallest Purple’s team: Slushy (Ditto), Sobble, Venonat, Morpeko, Sinistea, Milcery.

And thus Hussie leaves the conversation, prompting Caliborn to go and kill him.

Now we know that there are 3 bad types of sessions, and all the not!troll groups got them. Beta-kids got Null, Alpha-Kids got Void, and Caliborn gets Dead.

It, is sort of what he deserves to be honest. But to think that this session is going to make trash turtle boy into trash turtle man. How the hell did he even make his gang anyway? Like, split up his juju-powers to make mimi-jujus?

And now he has his anti-juju stick. Hallelujah.

Gamzee is now sticking around, apparently. I don’t like it, who else is there to tell how great and awesome Caliborn is than a religious fanatic.

And my rage was right. That planet was Earth all alone. I wonder who moved it and why keeps multiplying the Liberties.

j’étais un peu mal à l’aise hier je sais pas pourquoi j’ai fait un retour de « ils ne m’accepteront jamais » j’avais la tête à l’envers avant d’aller au petit salon tout le monde était « ???? anouchka ça va ??? » mais j’arrive pas à leurs parler pauline m’a dit « est-ce que tout va bien en ce moment dans ta vie? tu as l’air toute triste » et j’étais juste intimidée et encore une fois je passe pour une énorme rabat-joie je suis pas à ma place avec eux je suis trop nulle pour traîner avec eux genre vraiment je m’ennuyais trop au petit salon et je voulais pas boire parce que ça me brûlait la gorge j’arrivais pas à danser je me sentais toute lourde un type est passé devant moi en me disant « oh bah fais pas cette tête là ! » genre horrible alors que j’essayais de relever la tête ok c’est bon j’ai compris je suis giga laide j’ai fait plein d’aller retour dans l’énorme fumoir rempli de gens qui se serrent comme des sardines et qui savent pas que tu existes alors ils te poussent contre les murs j’ai fini par me disputer avec un type là bas je suis partie super énervée et j’étais toujours bourrée je me suis mise dans un coin pour juste finir cette soirée et essayer de retrouver max et les autres impossible je voulais juste mourir le type de la sécurité m’a dit de me mettre sur un fauteuil où tout le monde pouvait voir que j’étais toute seule horrible je me suis mise à pleurer un couple m’a offert à boire en me demandant si tout allait bien et ils voyaient que je pleurais et j’essuyais les larmes et je disais « yes yes everything’s ok i’m just tired » j’ai dit non pour le verre après j’ai vu thom et julian aller au bar je les ai rejoint je voulais sourire mais impossible c’était tout coincé dans la gorge j’ai pleuré après ils m’ont consolé on est retourné danser ça allait mieux quand même max et les autres nous ont retrouvé on a dansé et pauline aussi s’est fait embêté grave par des mecs impossible de passer la soirée tranquille mais ça c’est une histoire pour un autre post bref finalement on est rentré ils ont du s’occuper de moi (petit plaid pendant qu’ils faisaient after) et après flo et pauline m’ont mise au lit trop mimi ils sont tellement gentils avec moi tous.tes

Gladion: Kidnapped

Masterlist

•Prompt: Moon has Gladion kidnapped, and they have a conversation. (A bit AU and out of character.)

Gladion blinked awake to see a dimly lit room. He couldn't remember how he'd gotten there. He blinked a few times, waiting for his eyes to adjust. Someone was moving towards the flickering lightbulb hanging over his head. He tried to move, but rope tied his hands and legs to a chair.

"Hello, Aether boy," she purred.

He stared at the girl in front of him. Her eyes were colourless, devoid of emotion. Her hair was short and black. She wore a tight-fitting black bodysuit he couldn't help being curious about.

The fact that she knew who he was unnerved him even more than her appearance.

"Me and Murky are gonna have a little fun with you."

Her voice was deceptively soft. From the shadows, a Murkrow flew out to perch on the girl's shoulder.

"Murk!"

Gladion noticed more Pokémon in the back, though he couldn't tell which ones due to how dark it was. What he could see was the obvious hatred towards him in both his captor and her Murkrow.

The Murkrow flew onto his lap, looking him over as if deciding what to do with him. It didn't do anything for a long time as if waiting for something.

After a while, the girl said, "Aren't you going to beg to be freed? Ask why I'm doing this to you? Ask who I am?"

Gladion shrugged, saying, "I don't really see the point. If you're going to torture me, just get it over with."

"I like the way you think, Aether boy. I'm going to tell you my story anyway."

The Murkrow flew back to its trainer's shoulder.

"Me and Murky were captured by Aether. We escaped, obviously, but they used us as experiments first. Murky and I are linked somehow, I dunno all the science-y stuff, and now we feel each other's pain and can sort of read each other's minds. Sort of. Either way, we kinda hate Aether for what they did, so we've been taking employees and torturing them. Then we usually kill them. We've been trying to get to you for a while."

"I'm not with Aether. Not anymore."

There was a pause. The girl smiled.

"Then help me hurt them."

Gladion hesitated before replying, but Null burst out of its Pokéball with a growl and he made his decision.

"Sure. We'll help you out."

"Great. I'm Moon."

"I'm Gladion."

He watched Moon cut the ropes that tied him and stood up when she was done. She led him through a door in the back to a more well lit room filled with Pokémon. Her entire attitude seemed to have changed now that he was her ally.

"I didn't want them to be hurt by Aether. When I killed their trainers, I took them in," Moon explained.

Gladion nodded. He watched a few Dark-Types and Ghost-Types walk in through the door behind him. An Umbreon, an Absol, a Misdreavus, a Mimikyu, and a Froslass.

"Oh, those are my Pokémon," Moon said. "The Umbreon is Shadow, the Absol is Angel, the Misdreavus is Mist, the Mimikyu is Mimi and the Froslass is Spirit. Can I see your Pokémon?"

"I just have Null," Gladion shrugged, gesturing to his partner as it stared intently at Moon's Pokémon.

Moon nodded. "Well, we'll have to fix that eventually, won't we?" she grinned.

Gladion couldn't help but smile.

Moon no longer seemed sinister to him, but beautiful.

Mois d’août dit celui des vacances. Athènes se vide. Sur les plages… forcément nautiques c’est souvent la cohue. Parfois, seuls ceux qui optent pour les montagnes ont le privilège du… parasol solitaire… victorieusement planté autour des lacs en altitude. Été grec largement victorieux, et voilà que l’omniprésent supposé sérieux, voire le tragique de notre époque se décomposent enfin dans la mesure du possible ensoleillé. Il était grand temps.

Préparation et attente de la messe. Sous l’Acropole, Athènes, août 2017

“Ne prenez plus nos nouvelles au sérieux, oubliez-nous même, si vous le pouvez. Profitez bien des plages. En août, le pays se trouve ailleurs; les problèmes et les douleurs… c’est pour septembre, non ?”, martèle-t-on depuis les studios des radios (radio Alpha, Athènes, août 2017).

Partout en Grèce tout comme sous l’Acropole en cette période, on assiste aussi aux messes qui précédent la grande fête religieuse et essentiellement culturelle, celle du 15 août célébrant la Dormition de Marie dans la tradition orientale, qui est appelée L’Assomption chez les Catholiques. “Le 15 août c’est alors Pâques de l’été”, entend-on dire ici ou là dans les îles, encore de nos jours. Son carême, à l’image du grand carême de l’avant Pâques, dure alors 14 jours à partir du 1er août. Dans les pâtisseries et les boulangeries, on y propose de nouveau ces friandises “estampillées carême”.

Août incarne ainsi ce mois festif pas essence, et il doit si possible être honoré à la hauteur. Les Grecs prennent d’ailleurs traditionnellement leurs vacances entre les deux premières semaines du mois d’août, et celle qui suit le 15 août. Sauf que la dite “crise” a déjà imposé ses mutations: Diminution drastique de la durée des vacances, usage privilégié des résidences appartenant à la parentèle ou au réseau d’amis, location de type airbnb, en passant par la… grande renaissance en Grèce du camping dit libre.

Une loi mémorandaire, rend d’ailleurs cette dernière pratique totalement illégale. De ce fait, certaines interventions policières… sur les dunes de l’été 2017, dont celle réalisée dans la région de Vólos début août (38 interpellations aussitôt transformées en plaintes, d’après les médias) , ont d’ailleurs été d’emblée accueillies avec indignation et alors ironie.

Athènes se vide peu à peu, sauf qu’elle ne sera plus jamais cette ville désertée durant la première quinzaine du mois d’août. Pour ce qui est par exemple de l’immeuble athénien, le voisin Chrístos, artisan au chômage depuis 2011 et… travailleur “libre” très occasionnel, ira rejoindre sa mère entre le 14 et le seize août, elle habite près de mer à l’Ouest de l’Attique. “Je vais sans doute y retourner, mais pour y demeurer. Le propriétaire vient de déclencher la procédure d’expulsion, cela fait plus d’un an que je verse seulement la moitié du loyer, que faire d’autre sinon ? De toute façon, je ne peux plus rien louer nulle part… mais j’irai à la pèche à la ligne pour le 15 août.”

La petite famille de Kóstas, l’autre voisin, dentiste appauvri mais fort heureusement toujours actif dont l’épouse a été… définitivement congédiée du secteur des banques en 2014, elle est tout juste partie en vacances du 5 au 9 août.

“Nous ne pouvons pas faire mieux cette année mais je ne me plains pas. La crise… nous apprend-elle à rester enfin à domicile au 15 août. Le quartier est calme, nous nous baladons à pied et surtout, nous lisons nos essais et autres romans durant près de trois semaines. Mon cabinet restera fermé jusqu’au 27 août, je peux ainsi décompresser, m’isoler du quotidien, couper toute source d’information ; ni télé, ni radios, ni journaux, afin de m’en extraire un peu de ce poison ambiant qui nous achève…”, explique-t-il Kóstas très souriant. “En vacances pour peu de jours” peut-on par exemple lire aussi, devant une petite enseigne athénienne fermée, en information à sa clientèle.

Août et alors vacances ! Sur les terrasses des cafés encore ouverts, les ventilateurs dominent… le paysage urbain, ils sont très appréciés du public, comme autant de Mimi, le chat de ‘Greek Crisis’ qui n’aime pas trop la chaleur, sans doute jugée démesurée. Dans le même ordre d’idées, sur les trottoirs, les associations œuvrant pour le… maintien des animaux adespotes, elles installent de nombreux abreuvoirs dits “d’urgence”, à l’image de certaines municipalités qui réagissent de la sorte, lorsque leur budget le permet en tout cas.

Les touristes… nous découvriraient-ils toujours de leur manière, animaux adespotes compris, et nos peintres alors aux desseins les plus précaires, leurs proposent ainsi de leurs dessins “typiques”, inévitablement sous l’Acropole. Sous une chaleur souvent accablante, ils peuvent parfois s’offrir une petite sieste. Mois d’août, vacances !

Et quant aux passants, touristes ou pas, ils ne remarquent même plus la présence des mendiants nouveaux mais déjà tant vieillis, allongés et on dirait figés sur les trottoirs centraux à deux pas du dit “Parlement”. “Nous ne pouvons plus travailler sans Convention Collective. Nous voulons que les augmentent pour que nous puissions vivre dans la dignité. Du travail avec des droits”, peut-on lire sur une affiche que l’on découvre aussi au centre-ville cet été.

En réalité c’est plutôt un faire-part de décès… certes agonistique, du monde, comme des droits des travailleurs, décès (et en réalité assassinat) alors survenu en si peu de temps, depuis les premiers lois mémorandaires de 2010, en plus des pratiques y afférentes.

Les touristes l’ignorent, et les Grecs le savent pourtant, la réalité sait se cachait au point de passer pour vacante en ce mois d’août, très exactement sous le soleil. “Ne sous-estimez pas la famine”, prévient-t-il à sa manière un tag plutôt imagé d’un mur d’Athènes. Et les Grecs au quotidien, ils se précipiteront… en attendant, autant sur les petits friands au fromage et aux herbes afin de se restaurer, c’est beaucoup plus abordable qu’un repas pris en taverne.

Athènes certes se vide et sur les plages… forcément maritimes c’est évidemment la cohue. Même les touristes sont moins nombreux on dirait qu’en juillet sous l’Acropole. Certaines ruelles souvent fréquentées restent parfois désertes. Les esprits iront ailleurs et les corps ne répondent pas toujours aux… ordres. Été grec, ralentissement, sauf pour ceux qui travaillent bien évidemment, dans la dignité ou pas d’ailleurs !

Les esprits iront donc ailleurs. “Adoptez-moi. Je m’appelle Merlin… l’Enchanteur, et je suis un jeune chat de trois mois, vacciné… et équipé de tant de jouets et accessoires…”, voilà pour ce “magicien nouveau”, provisoirement hébergé dans un appartement du quartier d’Exárchia. C’est autant vrai que le mois d’août est également celui des chatons nouveau… déjà suffisamment grandis.

J’ai crois même avoir repéré sous un immeuble historique datant du 19ème siècle en décrépitude il faut dire avancée, un chat ayant été très probablement le chaton d’alors, immortalisé lors d’une prise de vue que j’avais réalisé en juillet 2013, pour tout dire une éternité. On peut parfois être en mesure de supposer une certaine cohérence aux réalités palpables… sauf en politique.
