Somewhat bothered by the responses in this reddit page. (For context: link is to a page in /r/biology, where OP posted a diagram of human evolution going from a prokaryote to Homo sapiens in many discrete steps.) To be sure, there are significant inaccuracies in that diagram. The flatworm definitely does not belong there (though I suppose you could use it as a rough approximation for the primordial Bilaterian), nor does Dickinsonia, and worst of all is the Cyanobacterium (which you can't even defend as a representative of our prokaryote ancestor, since there is another one helpfully labeled "prokaryote").
Most of the responses are not about that, though. Most of them are mentioning the inaccuracy of depicting evolution as a linear process ending with Homo sapiens, instead of one constantly branching and spawning new variations over time. Which would be a fair criticism if the image claimed to be a representation of evolution as a whole, but... it's literally titled "Human Evolution". Of course it follows a single line from the origin of life to Homo sapiens! It makes no sense to complain that it does not show parallel branches leading to other modern species; you might as well complain that a map of France is inaccurate because it neglects to include Japan. Drawing my own family tree is not a claim that the whole of human history culminates in my own birth.
(Maybe I'm oversensitive here because I've made a diagram of the same type myself, and I'm quite satisfied of it.)
Particularly curious is that comment that calls OP's image "dangerous", because it could lead to the misunderstandings above described is one were to completely fail to understand its point. I wonder if the same person would claim that 2d world maps are dangerous misinformation because someone might conclude from them that Earth is flat and rectangular.
I can't help but have a very uncharitable thought. Few people mention the actual factual inaccuracies in the chart because that requires specific knowledge that most people, even most users of /r/biology, do not have. But plenty of people jump at the opportunity of saying "evolution is not linear", "humankind is not the endpoint of evolution", "we don't descend from monkeys we share a common ancestor with them" not because they have understood these statements and know their relevance to the case, but because they have memorized these tidbits as the sort of things you are supposed to say about evolution to show that you are not one of those contemptible Science Deniers, while not requiring you to learn any more actual biology than the average creationist.
I dearly hope that I'm wrong.

THEORY ABOUT ALASTOR
Alastor is pretty much an enigma in the show. And it is very hard to decide what is he really thinking and what is his real goal. I also think that he is also helping Charlie because of his connection with Lilith but I also think there is more to it.
While Alastor is messed up and seems to enjoy the suffering of others and demands respect I also think that he actually wants to help Lilith and Charlie to make hell a better place or to punish heaven because he might also disagree with the senless killings. Even in the past Alastor only seemed to kill powerful overlods probably because they disrespected him and because he considered them evil. In the show we can see that Alastor doesnt just go around killing others no matter how they annoy or attack him fe. : Sir Pentious. My theory is that he might have a tragic childhood and he might saw criminals murdering his mother and that is what set off his murdering spree. And he only murdered criminals and crime lords who could get away with their crimes or reminded him of those who hurt his mother. Maybe there is a parallel with Moxxie. Maybe his father was a crime lord who killed his mother in front of him. Maybe his father also didnt want him and his mother tried to protect him and that is how she died. (That is why he could symphatize with Charlie because he also went through something similar) But unlike Moxxie who got more afraid of his father and tried to avoid confrontation, Alastor became the opposite. He decided to seek revenge and kill those who hurt others and managed to get away with it.
That would also explain why would he think that everybody in hell enjoys murders and why he didnt think sinners can be redeemed, after all they are where they belong. But he also doesnt think that everybody should just get murdered. Especially because the angels usually kill lesser sinners, demons while the heavy hitters and cruelest overlords stay alive.
Although he might change his mind about redemption after meeting more sinners or spending more time in the hotel.

Ok so I was thinking of a Skylanders OC that I’m working on (lore wise) when I thought that..

Kaos’s family mark looks eerily similar to an angel, more so biblically accurate wise maybe. The triangle on the bottom is the legs, two triangles on the sides are wings(or arm, top, and wings, bottom)and the one on top is the head.
Then again I may be looking to deep into this as I do.

do you know anything about Korea culture?
I don’t know a lot about Korean culture, but I do love Korean foods like kimchi and Tteok-bokki … also Korean snacks and banana milk hehe (can you tell I’m a sucker for good food)
The little I do know about their culture is that they’re very respectful individuals and their family values are really important to them. Also I think education is highly valued.
I also love how pretty Hanbok look :)
But that’s about as much as I know 😅

New hc: Dolo and Mosca are friends.
Now that her sister got a job, Dolo feels kind of lonely because she's used to always having someone around. Mosca also happens to feel lonely now that Ghost is gone, so they decide to fuck this Ciggy City up together.
Also helps a lot that Dolo is full of (internalized) rage and blames Glug for everything that happened between her and Double, so she's more than happy to ruin their stupid city in retaliation.

the diagnostic process of idiopathic hypersomnia
Diagnostic Process for Idiopathic Hypersomnia
Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH) is a chronic neurological sleep disorder primarily characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), despite adequate or even excessive amounts of sleep. The diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia can be quite difficult at times, including poor and lacking research on the disorder, as well as doctors refusing to consider it as a possibility.
Including poor research, unrefreshing sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness can be caused by many sleep disorders, including circadian rhythm disorder (a disturbance in your internal sleep-wake cycle), sleep-breathing disorders like sleep apnea (when your breathing sporadically stops and starts during sleep), narcolepsy (overwhelming daytime drowsiness and sleep attacks), and other psychiatric disorders.
Firstly, your doctor will review your symptoms, family history, and symptomatic history. They may have to rule out Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), otherwise known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). The key difference between the two is that CFS is characterized by fatigue, and IH is characterized by sleepiness. To receive an IH diagnosis, you must have symptoms of hypersomnia for more than three months, as well as it having a significant impact on your day-to-day life and quality of life.
Next, your doctor may perform a physical exam to assess anything physical that may be causing your EDS, as well as reviewing your medications (which may have EDS as a side effect). A physical exam may include a CBC (complete blood count; evaluates your overall health and levels such as red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelet count, and can diagnose disorders such as anemia and luekemia), or a thyroid function test (showcases the amount of thyroid-stimulating hormone, and thyroxine).
Finallyand while there is no one specific test to diagnose idiopathic hypersomnia—your doctor may run several different ones to rule out other possibilities. Of these include the Epworth Sleepiness
Scale, a polysomnography (PSG), and a multiple sleep latency test, all of which measure sleepiness and sleep quality, which can be used to rule out other sleep disorders. An alternative option to a test would be to keep a sleep diary—which can be used to track sleep patterns and quality.
Ultimately, the final treatment for idiopathic hypersomnia is largely pharmaceutical, simply because the pathophysiology of IH isn’t well understood. The diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia is also largely based on physical exams and past symptoms; through ruling out other possible causes.

I believe I remember one of team saying they had to cut a season 5 gag where Callum removes his jacket because they didn't have time and/or budget to animate a different model for Callum for a simple few-second scene.
If they took the time to make a seemingly different model for Rayla for a scene where she's simply sleeping in season 6, it makes me wonder if they made the model for a later, "more important" scene later in the season?
