The whole Barbie movie I was just saying
“Oh Allan’s such a malewife!”
“Such a cute silly guy”
“He’s adorable,he’s my favorite”
And then I saw him beat the fuck outta all those construction kens and I went fucking nuts for that man

I didn’t realize it at first, but do you feel like Allan could be a stand in for nonbinary people?
BARBIE MOVIE SPOILERS:
He’s not a Ken, He’s not a Barbie, he’s just Allan He’s the only Allan and he doesn’t really understand it. He moves more like the Barbies do, but he’s not brainwashed by the Kendom. His appearance is similar to the Kens, but he’s not a part of the Kendom. He’s something else, somewhere in the middle.
Also they kinda show Allan not fitting into a gender binary. We see femininity and masculinity represented in Barbie and Ken, both going through the extremes of them. We see this in every Ken and every Barbie, but not Allan. He even works with the Barbies when dismantling the Kendom since it effects him negatively too and he doesn’t like it. Like how the patriarchy also effects non binary people and people outside the gender binary negatively.
You could say he leans masc/is masc and that’s true, but the Kens don’t really seem to accept him or include him as one of them. He has Barbie-like mannerisms but he’s not included with the Barbies ever, he’s not invited to girls nights. He’s just, Allan.

If allan has million fans, then I'm one of them.
If allan has one fan, then I'm THAT ONE.
If allan has no fans, that means I'm dead.

Okay okay okay Barbie 2023 theory:
It's been established at this point that Margot Barbie is the main Barbie in her world, whether she knows it or not. Obviously, she's the main character, but she's also the central Barbie. She's the one hosting the party, she's the one that's got a spotlight on her, and she's also the one who looks most like classic Barbie, hell, she's the only blonde Barbie other than Kate McKinnon Barbie (I may make a post about thoughts I have on that at somepoint) but I think that her leaving Barbieland will cause some kind of power conflict: and I think that the Kens will try and rise up to take power.
In this pic, we can see that when Barbie is leaving, it says Barbieland,
But here it says Kendom!
Also, it appears that Allen, Alexandra Shipp Barbie, and another Barbie that I can't tell the identity of are in the car, as opposed to Margot Barbie and Ryan Ken like I had thought, but I'll get back to that later.
(Also, as far as I'm aware, no one else has pointed out the Kendom thing! I may have just missed something though)
I think that the Kens will possibly succeed in taking over, leading to the previously seen Barbie flags:
To become the Ken banners seen here:
And I think this will somehow lead up to the big Ken beach fight, which I think will happen if Ryan Ken and Margot Barbie return to Barbieland, as we see him and Simu Ken fighting (doing some weird?? Glitter thing?? Idk) here:
And I think there may be some espionage here, with this scene showing Barbie and America Ferrara's character seemingly sneaking around with the other Barbies seen in the car (and Allen) headed towards the "Kendom" earlier (seemingly in Barbieland, if the colors are to be believed)
TLDR: I think that once Margot Barbie and Ryan Ken leave, there will be a Ken uprising.
Or maybe I'm losing my mind over the like 6 minutes of content we have idk

One Of A Kind Love
Allan x F!Reader
Y/N was a discontinued doll. Of course being discontinued while living in Barbieland was a disaster. She was immediately moved to weird Barbie’s house and her dream house was left to gather dust.
Y/N resented Mattel for discounting her. She has made them such a big profit but they wanted to continuously put out toys that were less quality that would be cheaper for them to make and so they’d break and force consumers to buy more consistently.
Allan was lonely. He was the only Allan. There were different versions of kens and Barbie’s surrounding him in this perfectly pink world, yet he was the only Allan. He didn’t feel like he fit in with the Ken’s even after being a designated ‘Buddy’ for Ken.
He was left alone as Barbie’s had their girls nights.
He was left alone as Ken’s tried to show off to each other.
When Ken attempted to take over the world, Allan attempted to flee Barbieland. He didn’t want anything to change. He also couldn’t bring himself to treat the Barbies the disrespect that’s been forced upon them.
But they decided to turn around and get Stereotypical Barbie to help save them from patriarchy. Allan decided right then and there that he would never get out but he realized he didn’t want to leave Barbieland to fall. So he helped.
Allan led the two humans into weird Barbie’s house. They were met with Stereo Barbie sulking on the floor and Weird Barbie in the splits.
“It’s not the Ken’s!” Weird Barbie called out and it prompted the others to walk out of their hiding space.
Allan almost collapsed. He couldn’t stop staring at Y/N who looked nervous as she looked in their directional and Allan hoped she’d never stop.
Gloria was gushing over the Discontinued Barbies as she named them off, lastly getting to Y/N.
“This is Y/N! She was like everyone’s favorite Barbie, although she wasn’t formally named one, because she was just so durable. It made it so they could never be broken and it ended up being a lot of kids only Barbie.”
Y/N looked shy at the description as if she was some special Barbie but what kind of use is being durable. Meanwhile there was doctor barbie and even physicist Barbie.
Allan couldn’t disagree more. When Y/N smiled at him he felt like the most special person in the world.
Once Stereotypical Barbie was in on the plan they set it into action. All of the Barbie’s who they saved from a Ken would be the next one to save a Barbie. But that left Y/N and Allan in the car sometimes. The other discontinued’s stayed back at the weird dream house to make sure no Kens came to take it over, although it was highly unlikely.
“Hi Y/N.” Allan spoke with a smile adoring his face. The others were out of the van and he couldn’t help but say hi to his newly formed crush. That’s just what the dolls did.
“Hi Allan!” She spoke back excitedly with a smile on her face. Needless to say Y/N had bad self-esteem, which she only figured out because of Weird Barbie. Being discontinued affected each doll differently, but with there being nothing necessarily wrong with her body when she was discontinued like some of the others, it felt like more of a her issue.
“You know my name?” Allen was used to being overlooked. After all there was only him, surrounded by different Ken’s and Barbies.
“Of course!”
Before they could continue the doors flung open and another Barbie was brought into the reprogramming chamber so to speak.
Allan and Y/N couldn’t help but sneak glances back and forth. If a doll could blush Allan would be bright red.
After a little time skip and a battle of the ken’s later, the world was back to normal. Now the Ken’s we’re going to get a little more recognition and be acknowledged as more than accessories. Which was a win for them. After all they just truly wanted the horses and to feel appreciated.
But Allan and Y/N? It didn’t go back to their normal. Allan was now acknowledged by everyone, and he didn’t have to say anything first all the time. But, also he has someone he spent his time with.
Y/N used to only stay up in the Weird House to be with the others who were discontinued. That’s just how it was, and she admittedly felt nervous around the perfect Barbie’s who had roles in the world.
But even if a major lesson in life is to find who you are and not define yourself by your significant other.
There was no rule against finding yourself with each other.
