21.01.2023 - I've been finishing off the last of my essay reading before writing my plan tomorrow. I'm bored but plodding along now I have just over a month before submission. Abstract thinking about how to teach history is worse than actually planning a lesson...

Not happy with the fact it's -3°C... I'm freezing cold, so I'll be spending the evening shivering in bed with Twelfth Night.

this is my last semester of undergrad, and i have been busyyyyyyy which is why i haven't been posting as much. october was A Lot, but i made it through! also: hot chocolate and a stroopwafel. you wish you were me.

Hello Friends! gaze upon my only two perspectives recently (studio + laptop/desk) inspo for the annotations to @gentlespritin and hard agree these annotations took a while (sorry if you can't read my handwriting T-T)

Things on my mind recently ⭐

⭐So much journalism work - from organising interviews to editing to presenting BUT feels very rewarding!

⭐Part of this is now practicing news anchoring/TV news at uni at the expense of being on campus for 8 hours.

⭐Deep diving into very triggering topics for the justice side of my degree but s/o to my local moots and community for helping me keep above water with it (including giving me the beloved rooibos)

i fully respect the people on here that can have a very organized and pretty planner/bujo/notion thingy because the only thing i can bring myself to do is jot stuff in my (physical) calendar and hope for the best

10.01.2023 - I'm back studying full time for my PGCE and assignment work is kicking in with a vengeance. I'm writing about religion as a protected characteristic in history education - safe to say there is NOT a lot written about it. This is concerning considering how many kids have told me they feel excluded from school history because it's so white and Christian OR the number of kids who tell me all Christians are "sinister, evil brainwashers" (yes real quote from an exam paper I marked before Christmas!) My inner activist is coming out...

back in the saddle for one last semester of undergrad. this time, i'm at 17 *actual* credits, plus one course i'm auditing for a total of *20* credits. i will not be a very happy camper come midterms, but i've wanted to take abstract algebra for nearly a decade and uh. i kind of need the rest of the stuff to graduate
