Instead of doing Mermay properly, I took the prompts and drew a bunch of pictures of Gollum this month because I was excited about the game coming out. Here’s a compilation of the digital art (some of these were inked on paper and then scanned, but all color is digital), and here’s the traditional art.

These are collected in roughly the chronological order in which they would have occurred, and not the order I drew them. Everything here is intended to be something that the character could believably have done or encountered at some point, especially being wrangled by Aragorn and plummeting into lava.

It’s funny because without the massively complicated sequence of events that happens between those last two images, you can get the impression that Aragorn chucked him in Mt. Doom
