Furry became what it did largely thanks to the passion, hard work, and dedication of you and your partner.

I would never have met my partner if you didn’t help to create this amazing community. I may never have worked out my own personal identity, both in the furry community and in others like the LGBTQ and alterhuman communities.

You left a legacy that I and thousands and thousands, if not millions, of other furs will remember and carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

extremely devastated to hear about the news regarding mark merlino (the creator of skiltaires + one of the founders of the furry fandom + anime clubs in america). my heart genuinely goes out to him and his loved ones. apparently after being in the hospital with a stroke over the holidays, he's been diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer and is being prepared for hospice care.

i said this elsewhere already but i really hope he knows how loved and appreciated he is in this fandom for everything he's done for us. without him we wouldnt be here. his influence and love will live on through the fandom, and his legacy will live on through all of us too.
