I miss Milo Murphy's Law :(( did you have any Season 3 ideas?

jsbfksjflls I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS ANON YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE-

of course milo and zack getting chased by something big and round in the first episode (maybe some topiary thing because it would be spring)

milo and his new telepathy!! chad feels kinda down and milo gives him a hug and tells him he hopes he feels better soon. joni is uncomfortable in class because it's way too cold and milo gives her a spare jacket. bradley is nervous about not doing well on his math test and milo wishes him good luck and tells him he'll do great. amanda forgets her eraser at home and panics for a second before milo, from across the room, tosses one onto her desk.

(and all the whole everyone's just like ".........how'd you know when I didn't even SAY anything" and milo's all "well, what doesn't kill you on an alien planet only gives you telepathy!" and no one can tell if he's joking or not)

oh and speaking of bradley: an episode where he and milo get trapped in a classroom or just have to spend the entire day together and within the span of 11 minutes of one-on-one interaction with milo he kinda has a "huh. you're not so bad" kinda moment. he even lets milo hug him for an entire 2 seconds at the end!!!!

for the sake of continuity some recurring character/s have their "a big round thing is rolling through the school and it may or may not be caused by my own actions so I need to stop it before things get destroyed!!! also 'just roll with it' is magically playing in the background idk how that happened" subplot

an episode with the kiddos (the entire mid-afternoon snack club group + chad pls) spying on mr drako (chad insisted) to determine whether he really is a vampire. in the end there is still no definitive answer and everyone but chad is tired

i need dakavendish follow-up i need them to be the biggest losers in existence with each other

they absolutely have to call each other "balthazar"and "vinnie" at least once

joshua pruett mentioned that they were playing around with dakavendish being promoted and actually getting opportunities to save the world but they (particularly cavendish) end up hating it. I need that to happen. I NEED IT. the angst potential has entered the room

another school dance episode!!

zack has to take care of his twin siblings for the day and they want to meet the other two members of the infamous trust triangle so he goes and invites milo and melissa over. chaos ensues and by the the time milo and melissa leave the house the front section of zack's lawn has been burnt to a crisp and the twins have fallen fast asleep even though it's barely 7 in the evening

MEETING YOUR SECOND DIMENSION COUNTERPARTS???? since season 3 was supposed to be directed towards interdimensional stuff??

bonus points if dakavendish is canon in the second dimension

milo goes over to amanda's house to work on a project at one point and amanda already warned her parents about murphy's law and told them to baby proof their most prized possessions. they both end up taking a liking to milo and his positivity while also being slightly terrified of him. by some miracle the project does get finished but not without the typical dose of chaos and fires

an episode dedicated to bradley, mort, chad, and amanda and what they do all day when they're not actually part of the main plot

and more bradley mort chad and amanda in general I just love of all of them

more saneal!! I need them and milo to go to a dr. zone comic con together and dress up and be the gigantic loveable dorks that they are together

doofenshmirtz still needs to continue his professor time arc so he's still gotta be there ofc but give him less screen time than s2 pleaseeee. it's milo murphy's law and at the end of the day the focus should always be coming back to milo, zack, and melissa as well as dakota and cavendish

episode/s where melissa is just trying to go about her day with milo and zack when she suddenly disappears after getting caught up in the newest Time Travel Related plot of the week. zack and milo are confused until suddenly she and savannah reappear out of nowhere to deliver an out of context warning ("DONT GO NEAR THE DUMPSTER" or "GO BUY COTTON CANDY NOT ICE CREAM") before disappearing again to fix things

just more melissa and BOTT shenanigans in general honestly i love to see it

an episode focusing on the mml gals!! it could be brigette and sara it could be amanda and melissa and lydia it could be all of them it could be other characters but just an episode like that!

there's a mandatory science fair thing and milo and zack are partners so they decide to go with the most convenient option possible which happens to be a potato-powered lightbulb. somehow they literally flood the school gym with their potato-powered lightbulbs but as it turns out half the class didn't bother to or forgot to do their projects so they just take the lightbulbs and use those as their projects. by the end mrs. murasaki gives everyone a 'C' for functioning but unoriginal projects apart from melissa and bradley as well as amanda and joni

Their relationship didn't change much.

Which was weird - Zack thought it would have changed more, after everything that happened during the whole alien mess.

But... it was still the two of them. Zack and Melissa. Best friends.

Milo loved to tease Zack about it, and Zack thought he probably did the same to Melissa, but when all three of them were together, Milo didn't mention it at all. Zack appreciated that, because being put on the spot like that would have been.... a mess.

So, time went on.

They did stuff Zack was quite sure counted as double dates with Milo and Amanda. Sometimes their hands touched and neither put it away, just let them be close to each other.

But they hadn't actually held hands or anything.

Zack knew the ball was in his court. Melissa kissed him, and that was her way of saying she was fine with the idea of the two of them together. But... it was still hard.

Because Melissa was really, really cool.

And that made Zack nervous, in a way he had never been about anyone else before.

"So..." Zack had prepared for this. Asking her after their usual breakfast together with Milo and Amanda when they didn't have class. "The Flynn-Fletchers are making some kind of contraption later today. I thought we could go see what they're up to together. Maybe it will be something... romantic."

It made him nervous, but he had done it.

Basically asked Melissa out, just the two of them, when usually they would go with Milo.

"Sure," Melissa said. "Always interested in seeing what those kids are doing."

"Good," Zack coughed. "Good. Let's... meet up in a bit."

"See you then," and then she kissed him.

Zack stood there while she laughed lightly and left.

He grinned.

What would the Milolissa get-together-as-an-official-couple scene look like in your mind?

I have imagined like they would realize their true feelings for each other at some point. I mean it would make perfect sense, they knew each other for so long and spending most of their time together. Even though Milo's curse, Melissa never gave up on him. Also not to mention that she saved a whole room with the stuff about Milo and even she admitted she realized that Milo wouldn't want to get rid of his curse but she still continues to keep stuff about him. Also, I still behind my words and still think that they were perfect for each other and could make a great couple. Thanks to creators of the show they ruined every possibility and ended the series with a forced Zalissa finale. I wouldn't even mind if they were ended the series without making any ships canon. At least that would have given everyone a chance to continue supporting their ship. Anyway talking about this really making me upset. I hope one day I can completely forget about that final episode.

Theory of Future Zalissa

I know we have no confirmation on if we will be getting a season 3 or not. I have hope that the show will be back at some point. But on to the real reason you are here and it all starts with this:

Now I know they were mentioned as a couple quite a few time by Buford but I really didn't think much of it. But then this happend and that made me look on youtube to see if there were anymore signs. Of course there were:

I mean the last one just screams flirting. But these scences. I definatly read that Melissa likes him not so much Zack. But now with this new scene I'm convinced they will end up together at some point in the series; may that be the 3rd or 4th season(yes I'm hopeful). But we have a road block that will take place before that happens. So let us read the signs that came before that kiss on the cheek:

Thanks to @palizinhaindanville for the GIFs. As we see Zack quickly moves his arm away from Mellisa's shoulder and try's to take back the meaning that he likes her that came with it. But she now knows he likes her and the kiss is a sign to him that she'll wait till he's ready.

As we all know though another guy will come into the picture and start to flirt or even ask Melissa out on a date. Well Zack is going to want to tell her his feeling. But what I have noticed is words don't come to easily to him unless they're in song. Which all three of our main characters are part of a band Just Getting Started:

So I think the band will have a gig. They do there normal set and as Melissa thinks there done. Zack starts to strum a few soft notes and the other two join in the slow song. As Zack sings a song to Melissa describing her and her quirks, there adventures and the fact he doesn't want her to go because she's chopped away at his heart. I know ain't I a stinker:

Amanda confronts Milo after he’s returned to Earth, because, yeah, that needs a debriefing. 

Disgustingly sweet Milanda fluff, @jazzymarie1006 wanted more fics with them, and they kindly tagged me, so there it is, I guess. Kinda a companion piece to my last Zalissa drabble.

- You know, I never understood the idea of flaming ice desserts - Milo Murphy spoke, pointing the extinguisher at the burned table next to them - I mean, it's gonna melt anyway, right? Though to be honest, I've never had one, for, well, reasons you might imagine, and... - MILO! YOU'VE BEEN IN SPACE!

Amanda's loud cry interrupted her sweetheart's would-be-casual monologue. The plastic bottle she was holding in her hand looked nothing like a regular one, as her hand has managed to squeeze it and almost crush it. She threw it away and once again grabbed her Milo into a deep hug, a few tears leaking down onto his shirt.

- Y-yeah, I guess I have...

He heard her chuckle through her tears and closed his arms behind her back, comforting her from the shock she's just went through when he told her what happened in the last few days.

- I, uh I've got spare tissues in my backpack if you need'em... - Thanks, Milo. - she sniffed, reluctantly letting go of him.

She knew Milo had a bit more casual approach to the unknown and odd, and by his standards very few things felt extraordinary, but even then...

Amanda sat back at her chair, trying to remain as calm as she could in this situation. He was on Earth, he was safe, or as safe as Milo Murphy could be... Still, she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty of not being able to help, though she knew that realistically she couldn't do much anyway.

- Hey, I know you're worried... - Milo interrupted her train of thoughts raging through her mind, and put his hand over her - But you know, I can't really promise this won't happen again, you know, with me and all.

Amanda smiled.

- I can think of one way to ensure I'll at least be there...

Watching as Milo's eyes grow wider and wider, Amanda cupped his face and pressed her lips against his, feeling the vibrations of some unknown words or exclamations that tried escaping Milo's mouth, but they soon were silenced as he understood what position he was in, and sank into their embrace.

As their kiss deepened, Milo closed his eyes, letting the blissful moment continue, and forgot about the world around him. There might have been another fire, an explosion of mayonnaise, a stampede of angry sloths (which was happening but no one was going to notice it until next year), but none of that would have mattered for a glorious minute that seemed to have lasted forever.

Amanda parted lips with her now-boyfriend, stared into his eyes, making their intimate connection last a couple seconds more, despite dozen or so people in the café.

- If anyone wants to abduct you, they'll have to deal with me now... - she cooed, snuggling into his sweater vest. - You know, they didn't want to harm me at all. But hey, now you mention it, the Octalians probably could use help from a professional planner like you with organising their life, now that everyone seems to be a bit unlucky.  

With a slightly trembling hand, he closed his arm around her shoulder, which resulted in a low purr that reached his ears and reverberated until he was no longer shaking ans started talking again.

- So... Uh, I bet we know someone who could help us rebuild the spaceship. Come to think of it, Phineas and Ferb could probably do that...  

He looked into her half-closed, dreamy eyes.

- So, what do you say, fancy a trip to the universe? - Nah, I've got my whole world here so far...

She scooted an inch closer to him and laid her head on his shoulder, listening to his increased heart-beat, the comfy surroundings making her almost drowsy.

- Also, I gotta text Melissa she's no longer tied with me with the kissing game. - she suddenly spoke, and took her phone out. - Oh, you heard about that - Milo chuckled. - Yeah, I talked with Melissa yesterday. - Er, did she mention the whole space-travel thing, or...? - Come to think of it, no. - Amanda paused - I mean, she spoke about Zack overcoming his fears, and that it happened on a ramp of a spaceship... But she didn't mention it wasn't on Earth! - she suddenly realised. - Eh, teenagers' priorities, I guess.  

Milo gave her a kiss on the forehead, and watched as her phone rebooted itself after a crash.

MML Reaction: Abducting Murphy’s Law

oh so india got yet another episode lol

Cavendish’s story here was interesting. He was kind of annoying, but in a good way, if you get what I’m saying? Like, he’s being such a glory hound and is acting entitled to being recognised as a hero. Like wow, we even ended with him leaving Dakota and using that memory thing from Managing Murphy’s Law to make sure he can’t find him. I have a feeling Cavendish is gonna end up messing some things up now that he’s gone rogue, especially since he seems to want to be a hero no matter what. Like, what if he sees the aliens from this ep and tries to kill them because he’s convinced they’re a threat even though they make a point to show them as sympathetic?

Come to think of it, Cavendish wanting to be a hero kind of parallels *sigh* Doof’s attempts at the same. Doof is trying to be what he thinks heroism is and failing at it. However, Cavendish isn’t boxing himself into a role: he just wants the glory of heroism, there’s entitlement there. Are they going to draw attention to this? Is Cavendish going to end up causing trouble just for the glory of heroism? Time will tell.

We did get a few lousy gags TBH, I’m sick of the Doof sitcom one seriously.

Oh yeah, Doof’s in this episode a lot. Meh. I’m used to him appearing by now, but it still just feels so off, like he walked in from PnF and is refusing to leave MML. He’s necessary to the plot (tracking Milo does end up with him, Zack and Melissa in the right place to save him from falling to death), but I’m not sure if that’s better or worse. Better because at least he’s not just a shoehorned cameo, or worse because MML has already become too much of the Doof show.

On a small note, at least that Doof and Perry cameo is probably just out of order since they’re still apart here. Doof obviously misses Perry, and again feels betrayed because he feels Perry was there for his job and not because he actually enjoyed being with Doof. We obviously know that’s not the case, but they’ve yet to fix that issue.

A small but sweet thing was how Doof had a photo of him and Perry together on his desk, it kinda reminds me of how spouses have photos of each other on their work desks.

Doof and Dakota together at the end. I was indifferent to that scene besides “lol Dan talking to himself”. Doof and Perry do seem to parallel Cavendish and Dakota though here?

Zack gets turned into having Melissa’s body. I’m... not sure what to say about this. Bizarre commentary on whitewashing? Zalissa shippers will do something with this?

Come to think of it, Zack seems to be treated pretty poorly this episode. Like, he’s just there to be the episode’s chew toy for Doof’s inators. Not a fan TBH. In general I kinda wonder if they don’t really know what to do with him in these kinds of episodes, since he’s always just... there. I wish he was more active, contributing more in his own way instead of just continuously reacting.

Okay, Robo-Milo’s sass was actually pretty funny. Probably the highlight of that otherwise average subplot. Also using organic material to create androids, isn’t that a thing in Blade Runner?

The gag where the mistranslations made it sound like the aliens wanted to eat Milo was also funny.

Doof confirms his bad luck stems from him and Milo’s is *grumble* negative probability ions and that Murphy’s Law is different. This drew attention to something that makes me frustrated: characters like Doof have luck just as bad or even worse than Milo, heck you could argue Candace has it at least as bad as Milo (don’t come to me with any of that PnF effect crap, I’m talking strictly bad luck). To have only Murphy’s be the result of pseudoscientific ion crap is just kinda weird to me? Like, it just doesn’t really logically flow for me? Like, this is another reason why I don’t think they needed an “explanation” for Murphy’s Law. It’s also kinda weird because characters like Doof and Candace really struggle with their misfortune, yet Milo is the upbeat optimist, and yet his bad luck isn’t from genuinely real factors but... probability ions. This is all just really off to me somehow?

Milo gets abducted by the aliens, and they seem to want him for something on their homeworld. He almost sounds like some kind of prophetic chosen one to them? I can’t help but wonder if there’s problems at their home they need to fix, I get the feeling their motives might turn out to be sympathetic regardless of what it is they need Milo for. Still... not really into the whole “chosen one” thing.

The best part of the episode (wow it’s been a while since I’ve said that lol) was the alien subordinates going through the ship. Milo’s shown like some kind of monster to them, which alone was pretty cool because even though we know Milo isn’t such Murphy’s law is a force to be reckoned with. But then it turns out Milo actually helps them out, which I really liked. I think they’re making a point of having these aliens be sympathetic, it’s probably gonna lead somewhere. Though IDK how well it matches up with past episodes, I mean they don’t seem to like Cavendish and want him dead for knowing about alien life, and they still seem somewhat militaristic. If we’re getting someone grey as antagonists here, they’re already better than the Pistachions. I feel like they’re going to end up being well intentioned but still cause problems, probably (or only have the commander as the one that’s really militaristic)?

These aliens also seem to be unauthorised since Block doesn’t know about them? Wonder what is such a cause for emergency.

The aliens also escape and land on Earth. Definitely opens up many opportunities, though knowing how the show operates I don’t have many expectations for seeing them much before the finale. Are they gonna try and work with PIG to get off, or will Doof or PnF try to get them back in the air? But even if they’re going to need a way off, what is Milo going to do? He’s not gonna just give himself up to them obviously. Hopefully they discover why they need him and figure out a solution from there, that or they can’t agree and commander goes back to being hostile again. :v So basically I’m not writing them off being a danger completely, but I’m also expecting they could end up being friendly (the subordinates at least).

Once a season, lol. I thought it was just typical fourth wall breaking... but then they mentioned how Missing Milo was in Fall, and this is in Winter. It makes sense in-universe too. Fourth wall breaking admittedly is tiresome for me now since it’s done quite a bit, but at least there’s extra layers here. Though it really makes you wonder about the episode order.

Okay, Cavendish leaving Dakota itself is kinda sad. Dakota mentions the island thing which annoys me because of how poorly it was handled, but wow. Also I guess it does kinda shown how both have grown in a sense, while also showing how Dakota is more chill with his life while Cavendish always wants more.

Overall this episode was actually good, though of course it was plagued by the usual problems season 2 faced. At least it’s actually made me curious as to where they might go next though.

Hi! I just wanted to say I love all your posts regarding MML. Your theory on Mr. Block is genius and am 100% behind you on that actually happening. I'm also super happy you ship Zack and Melissa too. If you have any would you be willing to share more zalissa head cannons with the rest of us?

I can feel it coming in the ask tonight / Oh lord / And I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life.

They’re “just” friends all the way through high school, even though everyone sort of sees it. They love each other as friends first.

Melissa is one of these people who flirts with every guy and no one takes it seriously, it’s just good fun, it’s how she communicates. And Zack knows that perfectly well and he’s okay with it, but still, every time his turn comes up he can’t help but feel like “I HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.”

(Everybody else has noticed by now that he’s her especial target, but he has no idea.)

The first time she turns the doe eyes on him is earth-shattering, because he’d seen her do it to other people but he completely underestimated their effect at close range.

Milo: “I warned you about the doe eyes!” Zack: “I KNEW about the doe eyes!!!”

(“Who would have thought SHE’D be more dangerous than YOU?!?” “…Oh Zack, I’m not dangerous. It’s what’s near me that you’ve got to watch out for.” “…Oh no you’re right.”)

But anyway, with every year that passes he’s increasingly aware that she is not only gorgeous (he always knew that) but the most amazing girl he has ever met, just enough dangerous edge to draw him in and just enough common sense to make it worthwhile, and at the same time she’s his best friend and what they’ve built together over the years is really beautiful. So he wants that to last. It’s special.

At first he doesn’t think he has a chance because so many boys like her and lots of them are better than him, so he’s content to just be close to her in the way he always has. But eventually he realizes his one great advantage: he actually knows her. Everybody else has befriended her at a distance because of her insistence on hanging out with Milo Murphy. He was the only one who spent time with her and developed an appreciation for her as a person. And that gives him more confidence.

Fortunately she had narrowed the eligibles down to him a long time ago.

“Milo, I’m about to ask Melissa out and this is really hard for me. You hide in those bushes and provide moral support.” “Okay!” / “Milo, I think Zack’s about to ask me out and I’m kinda freaking out. You go hide in those bushes and provide moral support.” “Gotcha!”

Tree nearly falls on them seconds after she’s agreed to date him and they both yell “MILO!!!” because neither of them are going to admit that they planted him there, and he’s a great sport and doesn’t call them out on it until his Best Man speech.

(Babyproofing their whole wedding because who else is going to be the best man. “Milo, if we can’t handle Murphy’s Law for a few hours, we’re sure not gonna be able to handle being married to each other for the next seventy years. Start writing that speech, buddy”)

Lots of kids and when people say “are they all yours?” when one of them is babysitting the Murphy-Lopez children, the answer is always “Yes.”

Zack helping Melissa remember things. Leaving little post-it notes on the bathroom mirror to remind her to call the exterminator and to dress up nice for the PTA meeting because he’s going to suddenly have an emergency and drive by to pick her up halfway through and take her out to dinner.

Any time they have to do something they hate, like drive the kids out to the dentist or buy groceries for a huge party, Zack insists on calling it “the Quest” and no matter how bad a mood she’s in it always makes her laugh.

Melissa flat-out refusing to do something for Zack unless he gets down on his knees and sings “Chop Away At My Heart.”

(She had already found that video long before she pretended to have looked it up and was just needlessly torturing him the entire time they were waiting for their pizza I forgot to mention that.)

HEADCANONS NOBODY ASKED FOR, Phinabella high school edition! :3

Isabella gave up on Phineas after he got hit by a “Forget-about-it-ilizer-which-was-my-idea-not-Doofenshmirtz’s” (courtesy of Rodney) RIGHT after she confessed her feelings for him. Again.

The only people she directly told, other than the ex-Fireside girls, is Ferb because she accidentally left her group chat messages open while he was returning her right-handed flange tuner that they’d borrowed for a project.

Phineas‘ realization that he had a crush on Isabella came about more gradually. It started when she came to his backyard less often because of her many many extracurriculars, but he couldn’t quite figure out why that was more upsetting than Baljeet rarely showing up because of college, or Buford missing out because of his extracurriculars.

One day, Candace makes an off-hand comment about how Phineas talks about Isabella so lovingly and so often, they might as well be dating. Her slumber is later disturbed by a panicked phone call from Phineas at midnight, because he’s finally realized his own feelings. Our boy’s in pain.

Phineas takes Isabella out for ice cream every year on her birthday, and at least one member of the staff will refer to them as a couple on a date. Cue the blushing and denial.

Phineas and Ferb once built a machine that grants your greatest desire during their sophomore year, and it was Phineas’ turn when Isabella arrived. He claimed that he didn’t get anything from the machine, but everyone else was silently cracking up because they knew what he really wished for 😉

Isabella and Phineas once fell asleep on each other during a long plane flight and Ferb has photographic evidence. He’s waiting until the wedding to use it.

Speaking of Ferb, he and Isabella started referring to each other as ‘milord’ and ‘milady’, respectively, after they worked on a medieval school project together during their freshman year, which made Phineas wonder if they were secretly dating even though he knows that Ferb wouldn’t do that to him.

Phineas almost asked Isabella out to prom- he went as far as putting her favorite flowers in her locker as a surprise- but chickened out at the last second.

Dakota and Cavendish accidentally hypnotized Isabella into thinking she was 10 years old again during a trip to Danville High School (they were trying to find the Milo gang, but got lost), so she spent the day pining for Phineas. Luckily, the ex-Fireside girls and Ferb figured this out before any major damage was done, and Ferb built a device that would undo the effects.

When Baljeet (college freshman at the time, only 14) and Zack (also a college freshman, but he’s 18/19) bump into each other between classes, he finds out that Zack and Melissa have actually been dating since the end of their high school sophomore year, and passes this information off to Buford, who brags to Ferb that he should start referring to Phineas and Isabella as a couple, because then they are guaranteed to get together. It worked with Zalissa, after all.

To talk him out of it, Ferb had to tell him about Isabella giving up and Phineas’ newly-found crush, and threatened to pinch him if he told anyone without Phineas or Isabella’s permission. Buford never brought it up directly after that, and Baljeet didn’t know about the ‘situation’ until AYA because of this 👀

During their senior year, after Ferb went on a “date” (aka secret OWCA stakeout op) with Vanessa, bailing on his movie plans with Phineas and Isabella, the aforementioned duo ended up going to the movie together. Just the two of them. They had a VERY good time, and there may have been some slight armrest sharing.

Phineas wrote a song- for himself and the Ferbtones to sing- about Isabella, and it’s the sweetest but most embarrassing thing ever. It’s currently hidden in Phineas’ binder because he still doesn’t want to show it to his girlfriend but he doesn’t have the heart to throw it away.
