GOOD!
It’s exactly what he deserves
And look, as far as the Black people shitting on the Black Little Mermaid, all I have to say is this: white people have made (literally!) thousands of suck ass films—CGI and otherwise—and if they get to make a suck ass movie, then Black people deserve that same freedom and opportunity
IDGAF if it’s not the best movie on the planet. As long as Halle broke her foot off in it and gave it all she had, that’s more than good enough for my Black ass. We deserve the same right white people had to make movies that don’t suck, and yes, also movies that do suck. It’s putting an insane amount of unnecessary pressure on current & future Black artists, actors and actresses, if we **demand** that every single movie or piece of art we make must be no less than an 11/10
My 8yr old niece is dying to see it, and I haven’t seen her this excited since I took her to see Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse
Y’all do you, but Imma (eventually) enjoy tf outta this movie

Some of the actors of colour suggested for Fiyero Tiggular following the trailer release of Wicked (2024) and the nth time that his character has been whitewashed. He was described as “ochre-skinned” in the original book and the inspiration for the Arjiki are Romani, Middle Eastern, and indigenous peoples. The subsequent casting options are meant to reflect that.
