In mdzs, when the public opinion started shifting and everyone turned on jgy it made me feel vindicated. Finally they're siding with me against the guy that keeps pissing me off. But that only lasted an instant. Slowly, progressively, I started going wait. Wait no hold on. Go back. I didn't mean it that way go back. Because they were saying about jgy the exact same bullshit they had been saying about wwx the entire novel. And suddenly it felt really off.

Then, during the flashbacks leading up to Nightless City, I kept thinking back on that thing wwx tells nhs in volume one, when nhs explains his family's solution to their haunted saber problem. "Well, that's hitting a bit close to the demonic cultivation path". Doesn't nhs refuse to swordfight as well? Is he even carrying a sword? How come he can get away with this (and wwx can't)?

Wwx and jgy have similar origins but were raised in different environments. They learned similar survival methods and tried to play by the rules up until they couldn't anymore. They had the two more prominent roles in winning the sunshot campaign, and yet everyone forgot about that the second they decided they were irredeemable. They met similar ends, fighting and protecting people they loved.

Nhs became the kind of person his brother would despise in trying to avenge him. He became like his brother's murderer. His survival method is also trying to make himself seem harmless, not with polite smiles or clever distractions but with tears. The only reason he didn't meet the same end as the other two is that he managed to stay out of the public's eye, and because his reputation was unstained from the beginning. Although I should note that he is Nie Mingjue's half-brother, which might hint at a more complicated heritage, more similar to that of the other two, than one would suspect at first glance. But whether that's the case or not, the point is that nobody would call nhs a bastard, and that means that people will overlook certain things he does that have condemned the other two to death.

That's what makes them such great narrative foils. In the end all three of them are cheating, but nhs had better cards to begin with.

Well, I decided to upload another excerpt for a chapter again.

That is until I can get back into writing and artwork overall. I have been sick with stomach problems all of last week and I am hoping to feel better. Anyway, here is the excerpt:

Akuta was angry with Qin Shi Huang for doing this to him.

“WHEN IS LORD XIANG YU COMING HOME?! HE SHOULD BE HERE TO HELP THIS MAN!!”

“He’s… at work late unfortunately,” the old man said. “It should at least take him half the night to get home. You, on the other hand, need to help him along with that tired girl, Lady Ao Bing.”

“Can you at least help me with that tired dragon girl,” Akuta asked the old man.

“Fine,” he said. “Though you have known this man since he was a child. I have a feeling he would trust you more.”

Akuta wanted to say “but I” but she just couldn’t. Seeing Lanling under this condition just made her feel awful. Fortunately, she was able to pick him up due to how lightweight he was and due to the fact that he had passed out. But she did feel how wet his underclothes as well as his entire body was and had to feel it the entire way to his own tent. It may have been a short way, but it still felt like forever with him on her back.

After laying the man in bed, she was about to get to work with him. Those wet clothes couldn’t do and might make him catch a cold, so she had to take them off and… no way. There was no way she would strip the prince naked, even if she had spare clothes for him. But he was soaking wet and cold and he did have a blanket in his tent.

That being thought of, she ended up taking them off while looking away and she gave him some spare underwear along with some black hanfu pajamas and a warm blanket. Though it wasn’t too bad. It kinda felt like having to change his clothes when he was a baby or a toddler during his mother’s work hours.

Akuta did notice how bloody his bandages were and had to use her first aid kit and change them before she could put on the top half of his pajamas

“It’s okay,” she told him. “It’s not gonna hurt forever, Changgong.”

Was it okay though? Akuta knew what Qin Shi Huang had done to this man for the past 12 years and it could be like that forever. He did look really peaceful and handsome when he slept in his bed though. Though Akuta wished he could be at peace with the people he loved.

Akuta folded Lanling’s favorite outfit near his bed and eventually left his mask, some shoes, and his hair tie beside the clothes. Then she left the tent for real to take care of his white horse, Bai se Hua.

Lanling’s items of comfort were not allowed in Qin Shi Huang’s palace, and that included his horse. So the prince was extremely miserable there. On the bright side, he was at Akuta’s camp where he would be safer. Though that would mean that Akuta and the Captain, aka the old man from before, would have to stay up almost all night having to take care of the people they cared about until Xiang Yu could get home.

#this sequence of scenes is literally the only thing in my brain at any given time lol. kankoku pass I love you so much #kingdomposting #txt #just kind of a [general gesture] about this. you see what I mean #[the arrival of a foe who has the capacity to entertain you]… and such #it’s impossible to convey without just posting a sequence of several pages but i think the most important aspect here is actually #the scenes where the siege towers/ballistas are approaching and all the other qin generals have Lots of commentary #about how they initially seem to be missing the mark and such but kan ki is completely silent #and we see panels of him Observing and not saying anything #and then he’s the only one not surprised when the gimmicks activate / is already braced for their effects..#because he’s been watching more closely and seems to Understand hou mei’s methods already. lol!

A lot had happened, but to Gabriella it felt like a whole lot of nothing had happened, too.

It had been like the first breath of air she had come up for after she had been tossed into the waters of Avalor, her family behind her scattered into different directions and she was all alone in a wide stretch of ocean. Getting out of there had been fast paced and full of emotion but once that was over there had just been...nothing.

That’s what this had been. Months of one thing after the other and now it was all gone.

And just like all her problems, Gabriella was running away from this one, too.

She and Mei were sitting in one of the dance rooms after practicing because they had planned to hang out before and she hadn’t wanted to cancel because Mei was leaving soon. So, instead, she had gotten into the room and started before there was any chance for conversation. Even now, after they had finished and she was frustrated by all the mistakes she’d made along the way, she wanted to bolt out the door. But she knew if she did that then she shouldn’t have even come at all.

“Sorry,” she signed when she sat back from stretching. “That was terrible.”

Look, i know that Shen Yuan died a virgin and while he had no sexual experience he canonly kissed before getting with Luo Binghe, but do y'all know what would be hysterical in my opinion? If Shen Yuan had a gaggle of ex girlfriends he left behind when he died. Now, you may be wondering, what's so hysterical about that? Well, for one, it just tinkles me pink to think that the same guy who indirectly died from how angry a webnovel he dedicated a great amount of time commenting on made him actually got/could get bitches but decided that verbally abusing Airplane over his shit writting sounded more fun. I also think that knowing the system he'd at some point fall victim to some type of plant or curse that'd force him to name all of his ex lovers out loud unless he wished to die while the rest of the sect watches. Can y'all imagine Yue QingYuan, Luo Binghe, Liu Qingge and fucking Airplane's faces while he's there naming "Yu YaoYao, Mei Ling, Jiang Qin, Fei Liao" plus who else with a pained look on his face while trying to guess if middle school and internet relationships also count??? Plus, i just know he rationalized any lack of sexual thoughts he had towards his exes with "Well, i can't think sexually of a woman who's not my wife, that'd be disrespectful"

Day 739:

Using my Xu Fu catalysts, I also got an NP up for the emperor, and I jokingly said “Yu, you need to protect Xu Fu,” and right after I did I got the last Yu I needed to NP5 her. I guess she took it literally...

As such I felt compelled to make this:

Qin Shi Huang: We heard our sorcerer is here, we came to catch up and...why is she screaming?
