“It’s so stupid."
You mumbled under your breath.
It was your 19th birthday party, and here you were. Sat alone on the steps leading up to your house. Previous tear marks stained your face as you watched the still sky.
It was dark now, and the climax of the party was just arriving.
However, you couldn’t bring yourself to walk back in. All day, no one had even said happy birthday. Yet, everyone had come over to have a party for your birthday.
In the dark, a car pulled up to your driveway.
The familiar black BMW parked smoothly, its lights catching your eye.
As the door opened, a smile grazed your face.
Silently, you made eye contact. The feeling was humbling - your best friend (and crush) of 10 years seeing you pathetically alone at your own party.
“Hey Megs.” You smiled the best you could as he took a seat next to you, placing his gift aside.
“Hey.”
“so-“
“Why are you out here?” He questioned, looking at the constellations of stars. You turned to him, his eyes reflecting the elegance of the sky.
“I..” You swallowed your words, taking interest in the solid colour of your shoes.
His gentle gaze switched over to you. “I don’t even know Megs.” You whispered, leaning your head on his shoulder.
“I thought I would have fun, because, well, not to be obnoxious, but it’s my birthday!” You sniffed, “And everyone’s been treating me like crap, and-"
A small velvet box was placed in front of you.
“And no one had gotten you a present or said happy birthday?” He asked, you could hear the amusement in his voice.
“And no one had gotten me a present or said happy birthday..” You muttered, confused, raising your head off his shoulder.
"How- how did you..?”
He shrugged, a small grin teasing his pink lips.
“happy birthday.”
You breathed out a relieved laugh, slowly untying the blue satin ribbon around the box.
A giddy smile laced over your lips, looking over to Megumi for reassurance before opening it.
“Go ahead, it’s your birthday.” He chuckled, subtly excited for your reaction.
Slowly, you lifted the box open.
“Megumi..” You smiled, holding up the necklace in the moonlight. “Didn’t I say I want my future boyfriend to buy me this?” You flustered, playfully glaring at Megumi.
His grin softens. “sorry.”
You faked a huff of annoyance as you examined the necklace that has never failed to capture your attention.
“Can you?” You held the necklace in front of Megumi, pulling your hair apart and allowing Megumi tie the clasp.
“I love it.” You beamed.
He smiled contentedly as you gushed over the twinkle of the gem in the middle.
“Wanna get out of here?”
You scoffed jokingly, “And where to? The ice cream parlor down the street?”
“If that’s what you want.” He stood up, extending a hand for you to take. Gratefully, you took his hand.
“Can we?” You whispered.
Smiling, he whispered back.
“Of course."

Sometime had passed since the passing of Megumi Fushiguro, and it was hard on everyone. It was hard on you, he was the light of your life, the man you planned on starting a family with. You had never imagined not being with him everyday, never thought he would cease to exist. It was odd, it was painful, excruciating.
Those words of love and promises that amounted to nothing in the end.
07/23/19
“Give him back.” you demanded angrily, pounding on the ground where his grave site lie. Hot tears streaming down puffy cheeks, teeth grit as you took out your anger.
“Give him back to me!” screaming with such a raw emotion. Now throwing a fit on the ground as you sobbed, tears and spit flying everywhere as you roared with negative emotions. Everyone watched with sadness, they had all lost him. They lost their friend, classmate, comrade.. but they knew you lost more than that. You lost a part of yourself with him. You had lost your best friend, your rock, the moon who controlled the tides of your emotions, the love of your life. Your soul mate.
Sad eyes followed your every movement, sad ears bared to listen to your broken words.
“Get away.” you turned around and spat at the people who watched.
“Y/N.. we’re here for you and Megumi..” Nobara spoke softly trying to calm you down as she walked towards you. “Do not come near me.” You yelled still on all fours clenching the ground below. “You don’t deserve to be here. None of you!” The hatred that poured out from your voice, the flurrying sadness in your eyes. Yuji was choking back tears as he bit his lip while it trembled. Nobara stumbled back giving you the space you were demanding.
Did you really want space or did you want everyone to see you. See the way you were hurting.
No one wanted to see you like this, couldn’t stand it, and eventually they left one by one until it was just you. You were the last one to stay by him. You would forever be the last one to stay by him. In your mind at the moment no one else deserved to grieve and mourn with you like this, they may have been his friends but you were him and he was you.
“i hate you. I hate you. I hate you!” Sad and angry lies spewing from deep within your gut. Animalistic. Guttural.
This went on until a hand rest on your shoulder. Head whipping around to look at the person interrupting your grieving. Blue eyes met with your own, they didn’t have the usual spark and familiar joy in them anymore. Eyes were just as dull as yours. “Take your hand off of me sensei.”
Gojo frowned at you shaking his head, squatting beside you.
“This really sucks, doesn’t it?” he softly asked you as he longingly looked at the tombstone that sat in front of the two of you.
A calming wave started washing over you, the anger and frustration slowly washing away with it from your trembling stature. “Yeah, something like that” followed by a sad chuckle.
It was weird. Losing someone was weird. You were angry? sad? Amused? Nothing right now made sense.
Silence enveloped the two of you as you sat by his grave. It was more so both of you processing your emotions and not being able to fathom any words. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Megumi was supposed to stay forever, he was a calm summer breeze. The breeze that soothed the summer heat when it got hard to deal with. The breeze that made you stop and enjoy life while taking a breather.
“He was your son, I cannot imagine how you feel Gojo.” finally speaking up. “Satoru.” he corrected you. “right.. I cannot imagine how you feel Satoru” neither looking at the other. Eyes still glued to the writing on the tombstone, it just didn’t feel real to anyone.
“He was my son, and he was.. is your sun, he is the love of your life and I’m sure this is and going to be just as hard for you as it will for me” he replied placing a hand on your back.
“It’s not gonna get easier kiddo, but he’ll be here watching you. Making sure you’re okay. He loved and loves you so much.” Gojo said with such sadness winding through his words of.. comfort? Standing up and dusting himself off.
Taking one last look at Megumi and averting his eyes to now finally look at you. “Don’t forget that.”
10/12/18
He was right, it didn’t get easier. It got harder. You had gone through a few stages of grief. Anger was long gone, bargaining had hit you like a truck. Wishing it was you instead of him but your friends had helped you through with that. Denial and Guilt is what you were going through now. Feeling guilty for how you had treated the people who just wanted to be there for you and Gojo, and feeling guilty for not treating Megumi as good as you possibly could have.
Wishing to go back in time and be more grateful for him, more grateful for his patience, his loyalty, the way he remembered everything about you. There was so much more you wish you could have done and you felt like throwing up all the time.
You were also constantly in denial thinking you’d wake up in the morning turning over and hoping when you opened up your eyes that he’d still be there to say good morning and call you love. Asking what you wanted for breakfast. It’s what you guys would do every weekend when you didn’t have classes.
You asked Nobara to stay with you on weekends so you weren’t alone. You hated being alone. But it was almost just as painful waking up to see Nobara instead of an empty spot in your bed.
You started hearing his voice everywhere and all the time. Dropping whatever to go and look for him and being disappointed every time. Dreaming about him all the time and waking up in tears. It was hard trying to find the inner peace he left in your mind and soul.
You guessed you could cross off loneliness off your list although that would forever be carried along with you for as long as you live without him.
12/17/19
Christmas was nearing and everyone seemed to be in the holiday spirit as they decorated the dorm building. You sat on the couch watching. A world of hurt and sadness was really all you felt, this was the first time in awhile you had left your room to actually spend time with everyone and do something. You wanted to help out but it would just be painful and you also didn’t want to put a drag on everyone’s cheery mood. You smiled at them in envy, wishing you could get over it by now. It’s been months and you just can’t catch a break.
Christmas was your favourite holiday and now it just sucked. Inumaki had put on the fake fireplace video from youtube and played Christmas music. Listening to that and everyone’s chatter as well as laughs was a nice ambience that clouded your thoughts. The only person who wasn’t participating in decorating was Yuta, he sat beside you smiling at everyone who was hard at work, turning to you and asking why you weren’t doing the same in which you replied “I could ask you the same thing” with a snort and a playful eye roll. “Touchè Y/N” you scoffed at the word ‘touchè’
“What’s on your mind?” He asked already knowing the answer but he wanted to let you get it out. You paused, you knew you wouldn’t cry. You were past the point of tears just an empty feeling now. “I just wish he was here..” It was a vague answer but it said everything that needed to be said at the same time. “It’s tough.. and I’m sorry you have to feel like this and deal with this. I wish I could still grieve like you are.” he paused to think as you looked at him puzzled. “I feel guilty for not mourning his death as long as you have but don’t get me wrong! I wish you didn’t have to feel like this!” He apologized realizing how his statement could have come off. You laughed at him. First time you had laughed in a while. Reassuring him that you got what he meant.
Getting up from your spot and standing in front of him, extending your hand for him to get up as well. “Let’s decorate some stuff, they can’t do anything without us” Trying to feel like yourself again. Baby steps is all you could do right now and distracting yourself by doing minuscule tasks like this would suffice for now. Yuta took your hand giving you a bright smile while getting up.
A little bit of time had passed and eventually everyone had started to retreat back to their rooms except for you, yuta, inumaki and nobara who sat on the couch showing each other stupid tiktok’s. You and Yuta were chatting, you had felt better than when you had earlier.. feeling a bit more fulfilled. Checking the time seeing as it had gotten pretty late you said your good nights but before you got up you made sure to thank Yuta for helping you.
12/25/19 8:30am.
Christmas had rolled around fast. Once again you had been sat on the couch as everyone exchanged gifts, you had a bitter sweet smile on your face knowing he should have been there. God you had wished to see his locks of spikey black hair, his deep blue eyes and that half smile, his angsty demeanour that surrounded him everywhere he went.
You had gotten him a gift knowing he would never be able to open it but it was okay. “Y/N! I got you a really great gift I know you’ll love!” Nobara said as she gushed handing you a present. It snapped you back from your thoughts and you smiled warmly at her. Carefully unwrapping the paper around it, finding what looked to be a box that jewelry would come in. You opened it to find a pearly necklace with a gold hearted locket in the centre. Opening the lock you could see a picture of your best friends and him, as well as you. All big smiles on your faces except for his, typical. You laughed as you got up and hugged her, some happy tears escaped your eyes but it was okay. Thanking her you turned around and lifted your hair so she could put it on you.
Sitting back down and wiping some of those stray tears you felt okay. You felt good. Everything would be okay. You were starting to accept that he was gone but his memories and memories of him would always be with you and everyone else. Christmas would be nice.
As everything was finishing up Gojo had tapped your shoulder and smiled as he hid something behind his back. “I got you something too Kiddo, I hope it doesn’t put a down on your mood but I know these are one of your favourite things” you looked at him confused as you never confided in him for really anything. He handed you a bouquet of white lilies and your gaze softened and your smile fell to a weaker one. White lilies, the flower of purity and rebirth.“Thank you sensei” taking the flowers and giving him a half hug. pulling away and looking at the flowers knowing what you would do with them.
“Y/N, I got you something as well!” Yuji chimed in as he approached you. “Here. It’s a photo of you and Megumi” A photo of the two of you from your beach trip eating ice cream. You hadn’t even know that the photo had been taken, you smiled at Yuji giving him a half hug as well thanking him profusely. Taking another look at it, it was framed by a beautifully stained wooden frame. The dark grainy wood with two initials engraved in it, an M and a _. You knew what you would be doing with this as well.
Excusing yourself from everyone and bringing all of the gifts you had received from everyone back to your room.
12/25/19 3:20pm.
You sat at his grave as you talked to him as if he were still here. It helped ease that aching feeling that never truly went away when you were by yourself. “Gumi, I got some really nice gifts today but I thought you should have them.” turning to your back and pulling out the picture frame and putting it down where he rest. “Yuji got this for me. I didn’t even know he took this picture” an asymmetrical smile tugging at your cheeks lifting them slightly. “Merry Christmas Megumi”
Reaching to open your locket and look at the photo “Nobara got this one for me, it’s beautiful, huh? I also have one more thing” reaching back into the bag to grab the flowers. Pausing as your finger tips grazed the petals.
Tears quickly flowed from your eyes, what was even the point of this. Why were you talking to someone who wasn’t even here? All that lay below was a pile of bones in a suit and a tombstone that read his name, birthday and date of death. “This bites.”
Loud sobs filled the air as they usually did here. Every time you came it always ended up like this. Feeling stupid for talking to a grave, feeling stupid for not being able to pull yourself together as well as get your shit together and stand on your own two feet again. This feeling of loneliness and vacancy. “I wish you were here, I wish I could physically talk to you, physically hug you. I wish I could physically see you again.”
You couldn’t even hear the sound of snow crunching as someone walked up to you until you felt a tap on your shoulder again just as you did that day. Turning around to look up at whoever disturbed you, red and puffy eyes. “Hey kid” he greeted quietly as he crouched beside you like he did before. “It hurts. I didn’t want everyone else to see me break down again. I’ve been acting too depressing around them as much as it is, and doing it in christmas would be such a selfish thing to do” you sniffled, stuttering over your words trying to calm yourself down enough to speak, with every word you felt your throat burn. “They would understand, I promise” he resssured. “But I also get where you’re coming from. It’s been a rough few months for everyone and everyone’s been off, just trying to get through it. You’ve been taking it the worst though.” Once again your broken sobs filled the air as you hugged him grasping at any sort of comfort. “I wish I was as strong as them, as strong as you. as strong as him. He would have gotten his shit together so long ago” Gojo paused for moments trying to find the right words to say and he held you. “You are strong, just as strong as everyone else. Y/N you have to deal with all of this and holding onto him is the strongest thing anyone could do. You are taking your times coming to terms with this shitty hand you’ve been dealt and acceptance doesn’t have to come right away.”
It felt like time had stopped as you continued to cry into Gojo’s shoulder. Snow flakes fell as your tears started to stick to your face from the cold. You felt pathetic as you snotted all over Gojo, the fact that he had seen you like this too many times but it was nice you could rely on him. He was the closest you’d get to your late boyfriend and it was comforting knowing you could be like this around him without judgment. Finally pulling away and wiping your nose as you laughed sadly apologizing.“No worries kiddo, i’m always here to be your snot rag.” he ruffled your hair and gave you a smile. Even without seeing his eyes you knew his had pain searing throughout his as well.
“I know he’s gone but it’s so lonely. I’m always surrounded by this weird feeling I can’t put my finger on. It’s whenever I think of him, think of our memories, our plans we made.. I feel this.. this?” You paused trying to find the right word. “Melancholy. You feel melancholic.” You turned back to the bag and grabbed the white lilies Gojo had gotten you and laid them on top of Megumi’s headstone and started at it and sighed longingly as well as relieved knowing you could finally put a word to the feeling. “Yeah.. Melancholy.”
Snow still lightly fell as you and Satoru Gojo had started at his name leaning into each other. Acceptance. He was gone and that was okay, you would be okay, he would always be here whether it was physically or not.
“I‘ll see you again Megs”
A warmth embracing you almost like he was there hugging you saying that he can’t wait.
Tumblr media
I hope this wasn’t like crazy awful because I was actually trying LMAO. in the christmas spirit i present you all with hard hitting megumi angst. don’t hate me. Like I said I only half proof read and over half of this I was stuck listening to my friends rage at cod LMAOO.
We love dad! gojo, being so supportive of the reader, i was afraid it would seem inappropriate that him and reader were hugging but like he’s just comforting his sons literal girlfriend who lost just as much as he did and he STILL stayed strong her HER. We also love Yuta for being her first big push to getting her back to being herself
reblogs and comments are vv appreciated ٩( 'ω' )و

peaceful air - fushiguro m.
Tumblr media
Megumi is restless. His dorm is still and dark, the quiet disrupted by his constant tossing and turning in his bed. Megumi usually likes the quiet, but not tonight. Tonight, the air around him isn’t peaceful, a comforting contrast to the headache-inducing noise he’s surrounded by during the day. Tonight, it was uncharacteristically tense and eerie. It disturbed him, and instead of soothing his mind to sleep, it feels intrusive and keeps him up with unease.
After rolling around for what to him feels like hours, Megumi rolls onto his back and stares up at his grainy ceiling. He knows what’s keeping him up, and he’s embarrassed that such a simple thing is making his mind work overtime.
You haven’t spoken to Megumi in almost twenty four hours.
He hasn’t even seen your face all day. From the morning he woke up to the restless evening he’s having tonight, there hasn’t been a single sign of you.
He woke as routinely as he always did and checked his phone expecting a text from you, but no banner with your name on it stared back at him like it normally does. You must’ve slept in, he thought to himself. Especially considering the events of the evening prior, he knew you must’ve been exhausted. Megumi slowly got himself ready to start the day and then headed toward your dorm room. He knocked once, twice; both times no answer. As he raised his fist to knock a third time, he heard a loud yawn, and turned around to see Yuuji approaching him from down the hall.
“Good morning, Fushiguro!” he greeted with a smile as he stretched his arms back. “Y/N is already up. I saw them heading out a couple of minutes ago.”
Huh. You usually let Megumi know you had woken up, let alone when you were leaving the dorm building.
He asked Yuuji and Nobara about your absence when he was unable to locate you in the school building. The two of you usually met with the others at the meeting spots Gojo planned out together, but Megumi arrived on his own today. Both of them speculated that you were with Gojo, as they were already wondering where their tardy teacher was.
“I sent Y/N on a special solo mission today.” The blindfolded man informed his students when he eventually arrived at the agreed upon meeting place on his own.
“Shouldn’t someone accompany them?”
Gojo stared down at Megumi with a casual smile and his hands in his pockets, but the air around him was different. The almost unbearable unease Megumi was wrestling with in his bed pricked him for the first time in this moment. “No need to worry. They can handle themselves fine.”
Megumi, out on missions of his own all day, didn’t have an opportunity to contact you until the evening. As the sun set and the sky burst with color, Megumi checked his texts, furrowing his brows when not a single notification from you appeared in his phone.
Did your mission go alright? Were you hurt and couldn’t answer him? He wished you would’ve said something, left a voicemail, even a simple, “Good luck out there!” text would have sufficed. But there was nothing.
“Whatcha looking at, Fushiguro?”
“Probably texting Y/N.” Nobara responded for Megumi with a roll of her eyes, her voice laced with disgust. “I still can’t believe Fushiguro got into a relationship before I did.” Megumi paid no mind to her comment and frowned.
Only a short while ago, after pining over each other for some time, you and Megumi had begun dating. The two of you have known each other since you were young and began your careers as Jujutsu Sorcerers alongside one another. You had each others’ backs, and at most, the two of you bickered. It never transcended beyond that, and neither of you would ever say that the two of you have had a real fight.
That was until a day prior.
Megumi is not an easy person to deal with. He knows this, and he’s never lost sleep over it. Megumi's beliefs, outlooks and approaches are his own. Whether or not someone else would lose sleep over him wasn’t his concern. He’s used to being independent. He is passionate about his beliefs and goals, something you had always respected and admired. He is absolutely a man of action, someone who believed in doing more and saying less.
But Megumi is also reserved and private, and this doesn’t bode well for him in a relationship.
Megumi isn’t good at relationships, and he never has been. He’s never had very many; how could he be? So when foreign feelings of romance started to emerge in the way that he looked at you, in his protectiveness, his small smiles, and in the way that he started to care, Megumi didn’t know what to do with himself. He still doesn't know what to do with himself, even after knowing you for so long. He’s not used to dropping his guard and relaxing around someone.
Megumi found your open mind, your big heart, your determination and clear cut goals attractive. Something that surprised him in the early stages of your friendship, and even occasionally in your relationship, was that you, with all your kindness and self respect, chose to care for him. To remain by his side even when you didn’t need to. The two of you had a lot in common, had a lot you respected about one another, but sometimes your differences clashed uncomfortably. A couple of comments and disagreements were all that were ever exchanged, you with the patience of a saint always hearing him out with an attentive and understanding gaze. But now, after your radio silence, Megumi thinks that last night he’d finally gone too far.
When Megumi returned to Jujutsu Tech, he went in search of his upperclassmen. He asked the second years, who were finishing their training, if they had seen or heard from you all day. At that point, Megumi was finding it difficult to disguise his concern. They informed him that you retired to bed early, seemingly exhausted from a mission.
And so that led him to his current restless state. Megumi hasn’t heard from you all day, and he’s worried. Your first real fight in the years you two have known each other- he doesn’t know what to do.
He’s still lost in his own thoughts when he sits upright and emerges from his bed. He thinks of how he’s supposed to handle an argument with you with every step he takes out of his dorm and down the hall. He feels a little lightheaded as he stops in front of your door, trying to think of what he could say to make things right, to make it so he doesn’t lose you due to his immaturity. He stares directly at it, thinking that if he doesn’t make things right, the only things left between you two are the harsh words he threw at you and the hurt look on your face in response to them. And he knocks.
It’s late, so Megumi doesn’t want to knock again, but you also aren’t answering the door as quickly as he’d like you to, and he’s starting to feel a little desperate, so he raises his fist to knock again. He quickly stumbles back when he hears the jiggling of the door knob, and his eyes widen when he meets yours, both of you looking at each other in surprise.
“Megumi? What are you doing here? What time is it?”
An intense wave of relief washed over Megumi when he finally came face to face with you, so overwhelming that it caught him off guard. After being deprived of your presence the entire day, your tired eyes and scratchy voice laced with annoyance didn’t matter to him at all. He was just relieved. He tries to calm his racing heart so he could respond, but suddenly his breath is caught in his throat, and he looks down to see you holding his hand.
“Come inside.”
He lets you guide him into the dark of your dorm, and he blinks as his eyes adjust to the sudden contrast in lighting. Closing the door, you ask again. “What are you doing here, Megumi?”
He goes quiet for longer than your patience can tolerate at god knows what hour, and you start to speak up when an “I’m sorry.” beats you to it.
Through bleary eyes you’re able to make out Megumi’s, the tense frown his mouth is shaped in, his furrowed brows. Even after you process his face, his expression is still unreadable. But still, you don’t need to ask why he was apologizing.
“I was immature, I know. I’m sorry.” His gaze never left your reflective one. “Can we please talk?”
At this hour, you had a mind to punch your boyfriend, but you knew acting on that urge would be foolish and that rest on both your ends would be better. Megumi’s words a day prior had hurt you in a way they never had before. The two of you had never experienced that sort of hurt in your relationship- you needed time to reflect.
You and Megumi were still new to romance. You didn’t think much would change when the two of you made things official, but the sudden new openness hasn’t always been easy. It would take time, you understood this.
And your heart ached at the possibility of Megumi thinking that you didn’t. That you didn’t understand what you were getting yourself into when you became a couple. It made you want to start a whole new argument with him.
But all those words of reassurance would have to wait until your head didn’t feel too heavy for your neck. You took Megumi’s hand again and went to lay down in your bed. “Talk tomorrow. Let’s sleep.”
He stood by your bedside as you closed your eyes and cozied up into your blanket, lifting a section for Megumi to slip under. You felt the bed dip beside you and the sheets being adjusted. Opening your eyes, you tried not to smile at Megumi’s stiffness. Hoping to relieve some of his tension, you shifted closer to him and nuzzled into his side.
“Is this okay?” You mumbled against the fabric of his shirt, eyes still closed, but not entirely relaxed against him in case he wanted you to move away. To your surprise, Megumi responded with “It’s okay.”
And though you couldn’t see it as you finally relaxed against your boyfriend, already drifting off to sleep once again, Megumi’s eyes were wide as he turned his head to stare at you, his mouth the slightest bit agape.
Though Megumi wished he could say more, he silently agreed with you that it could wait until morning. And as he reluctantly rested his head against yours, letting his own weary body succumb to slumber, he thinks that being beside you is all he’ll ever really need.
And, finally, the peaceful air returns.

Note
PLZ PLZ PLZ DAD MEGUMI HEADCANONS AND A SHORT LITTLE STORY TOO-
LIKE MEGUMI’S WATCHING BABY WITHOUT READER FOR THE FIRST TIME AND JUST A WHOLE STORY ABT THAT.
Tumblr media
GASP. FINE JUST FOR U.
Dad! Megumi Fushiguro HCS + a bonus story!
cws; fluff, ALL CHARACTERS AGED UP!!, a lil cursing, I think that's it
Tumblr media
when the "cold" and "uncaring" megumi announced he was in a relationship with you five years ago?
everyone was shocked
when the "hates affection" megumi told all his friends he was now having a baby with said girl from five years ago?
THEY LOST THEIR SHIT.
anyways to the actual hcs.
he's a light sleeper
so after you two had your son , every time he would cry, megumi was up before you could even open your eyes.
And most people probably think he's not affectionate-
he's always baby talking to your son
“my sweet son, nothing bad will ever happen to you”
You honestly get the best nights rest knowing he's there protecting your son
Tumblr media
Even though megumi was definitely one of the best dad's around in the area, he had no idea what to do when you were gone.
You had left about an hour ago to go shopping and do some errands and now megumi was missing you extra and was stressing hardcore.
“my love, please, i don't know what to do. he won't stop crying and-” the poor man was freaking out as he was on the phone with you, rocking your son in one arm while he cried.
“sorry, I'm almost done I'll be back in about 15 minutes, maybe try feeding him or changing him? I've got to go I'm getting the dry cleaning now, see you in a bit.” And with that he was left on his own once again to try and figure out why his child was crying-
He knew getting these chores, that were a week behind because of the new arrival in your home, was important to you so he wouldn't bother you until you were done and home.
The black haired male was still rocking your son, whose crying hadn't calmed down any. He had a bottle on the table, nope it didn't work. He checked his diaper, nothing there.
Megumi sat on the couch, your son against his chest. He sat there with the crying baby for about 5 minutes before picking up a stuffed worm- and then your son had stopped crying.
“ you want the worm ?”
You got home almost a little more than 20 minutes later, finding the tv playing as background noise and your loving husband asleep with your son asleep on his chest.
Tumblr media
finally got 1 rec done! I'm so sorry for the hold up! If you sent in a request, please know I'm working diligently on them and they should be posted soon!

can I have this dance | m.f.
Tumblr media
pairing: megumi fushiguro x reader
summary: you and megumi dance around an invite to the school dance.
a/n: pretty sure Sadie Hawkins isn’t a thing in Japan??? (forgive me if I’m mistaken), but for the sake of this imagine, the girls are meant to ask the boys to the dance rather than the other way around.
.
.
“I heard that girl Hana crying in gym about getting rejected for the dance.”
megumi didn’t respond. didn’t even show any signs of having heard what she said at all, but she knew he did.
“holdin’ out for someone special?” tsumiki continued with a smile playing at her lips. “like y/n?”
a blush burned at his cheeks and he smacked his lips, turning his head off to the side. “tch. don’t be stupid. we’re just friends.”
“well, I know that,” she humored him. “but friends can go to school dances together, right?”
“no.” he grumbled. “don’t wanna go to the dance with her. don’t wanna go to the dance at all.”
“oh, I see.” she mused, pretending to believe him. “so it wouldn’t bother you if a certain basketball player asked her if she was going to ask him this morning in the cafeteria?”
his eyes widened for a split second before he caught and composed himself. “pfft. what do I care?”
except he cared a lot. he wished he could ask you what you said in response, but you’d hold onto that forever. you’d probably go on and on about it if he threw you even the thinnest line that suggested that he had even the slightest feelings for you. and he couldn’t have that. so he waited to talk to you in class later on in the day so he could think about how to best present his case in the utmost platonic way he could think up.
he meant to sit and grill you about why in the hell some random guy thought you would be asking him to the dance. to remind you that the guys on the team were pigs and tasteless pieces of garbage that you had no business going on pity dates with, but instead, he froze you out. he was quiet well into the first half of the class period despite every effort you made to talk to him. he only offered nods or singular grunts or hums, or sometimes nothing at all until you turned in your stool to face him directly.
“what’s up?”
his head turned, taken aback only a little by your sudden forwardness. “nothing?”
you huffed at him, making a face that he came to identify as discontent in the span of your friendship. on any other occasion, he would huff back and mimic your expression, but today he just turned back to the table in front of him and continued to study his assignment.
your eyes widened. offended and fed up with his antics, you pulled at his arm in attempt to get him to turn and look at you. on its own, it probably wouldn't have worked, but he shrugged out of your hold and turned to face you so you wouldn’t try to grab him up again. his growing aggravation and your incessant need to be so touchy all the damn time wasn't a good combo right now.
“what’s wrong with you?”
“nothing.” he deadpanned with a straight, bored face. “what’s wrong with you?”
he wasn’t the greatest at communicating his feelings. you got that, but the way he asked the question was flippant, and you struggled not to feel insulted. you didn’t want to fight, and you both clearly needed a second or two to calm down, so you mumbled a curt “never mind” and git back to your work.
a few hours after school, he had composed and deleted at least ten different texts to you trying to salvage what he had stupidly messed up before a text from you came through. you were asking him to come over, which was perfect. he could apologize for being short with you and he could also spend some time with you, something that he really enjoyed, but would die before admitting out loud.
when you opened the door, he was rubbing at the back of his neck with worry written all over his face. “hey,” he greeted hesitantly. “I was just gonna text you, you know when you asked me to come, I just,” he sighed. “I wanted to-”
“why don’t we talk inside?” you offered with a small smile. you pulled him inside and through your house, all the way to your bedroom. “I wanna show you something,” you told him, falling onto your bed while he shut the door and took a seat near the foot of it. he perched a leg up on the mattress so he could have his body turned to face you. “but first, I wanna talk about what was bothering you earlier.”
his throat ran dry. of course you wanted to talk about this right her and now, in your bedroom of all places. you were asking him to look you in your eyes and explain that he was jealous. and he didn't know how.
he had somehow avoided this conversation the entirety of their friendship up until this point, and now he was being almost forced into having it all because he couldn’t check his emotions. so now what was he supposed to do? lie to you? you didn’t do anything wrong, and he had never lied to you before, not unless you consider him hiding the fact that he was so in love with you that it physically hurt, but he considered that more of a little white omission rather than a lie.
“I made a girl cry today.”
it wasn't like it sounded out of character for him. he was kind of a big, mean jerk, and a lot of people were afraid of him, but negative responses and feedback from his victims never seemed to bother him before, so what gives?
“yeah? how did that happen?”
megumi sighed, still not looking at you. “told her I didn’t wanna go to the dance with her.”
the dance. your jaw set and you reared back just a little. you really had no idea where he was going with this, but if the story ended in him miraculously agreeing to some girl’s invite, you were gonna blow a gasket. “oh, yeah? why’s that?”
he rolled his eyes, discomfort manifesting itself as annoyance. “don’t wanna go to the stupid dance.” he mumbled.
you hated to think that he meant it. you knew that he had never been to a dance before, and this could be a really special night for the two of you. that is, if he didn’t reject you the way he had that nameless girl he mentioned before. “don’t wanna go to the dance, or don’t wanna go with her?”
he kept his head down and shrugged.
“megumi?” you prompted softly after he fell silent for a little too long.
“think the person I wanna go with may have asked somebody else.”
your heart was beginning to sink, but you swallowed your pride and pushed on. “oh... I'm sorry, gumi, um... maybe they-”
“I mean,” he suddenly picked up over you with a new false sense of courage.“some guy from the basketball team did ask you to ask him. didn’t he?”
your entire thought process fell off and your brain short circuited. “I... well, yeah, but... does that mean that I...” your sentence faded out and the biggest smile threatened to tear your face in two, but megumi was too busy picking apart every last detail of your carpet with his eyes. no way in hell was he gonna look up at you right now. not until you got up from your bed and disappeared into your closet, only to return with a medium sized teddy bear.
you took a seat on the floor in front of him so he had no choice to look at you. he huffed and turned his head again, reisisting the urge to cross his arms and grumbled, “what is that for?”
“for you.” you announced giddily, thrusting it out towards him.
he snatched the bear from your hands and assessed the small sign in between the bear’s paws:
friday night would be un - bear - able without you! <3
he eyed the bear, completely dumbfounded, while his face began to heat up.
“gumi, will you be my date to the dance?”

prominence of him
fushiguro megumi/female !reader
this is requested by vee. cross posted from wattpad (bc i can) and will later post on ao3 as well. please be aware that this is fluff & sensual! and has 1.4k words. there are no warnings to consider...at least, try to contain yourself on the sensual part.
Tumblr media
When one was prominent, people tend to simplify the equation horribly, and mark it as if it's the only thing that's prominent and dismiss the little, sparking ones.
picture this, you had an immense fixation on something - be it an activity/hobby, a topic, a series or movie that recently came out - it could be anything. you spill your love almost everywhere and sometimes, those ramblings of certain obsessions shapes itself as a piece of you, it shines through you, it weaves you as a part of your identity. i'm not including all of your fixations, but most of those that glimmer than the rest makes it hard for you to let it go, and thus, it becomes the shard of your whole.
you might have ramble on and on about it for the people around you, including the ones you're not close with, those who can't see the picture of you as a whole has the tendency to gravitate in this moment or, this glimmering, prominent shard of you, they simplify this complex of a person such as you, as the living fixation without giving thought about who you really are.
after then, the people who you don't associate much, the people who are an outsider of the museum of yourself, they see what's bold, the shiny, surface and prominent, they only see what you show at best, and the tiny details at worst.
its similar to our personalities, our outward visage, you remember when some guy had called you 'stoic face' for having a detached, unimpressed look and your response is almost in the edge of a heavy winter, but in reality, you were really just exhausted and you can't seem to get rid of wanting to sleep like a log for the rest of the day.
others even mock you for days or weeks by acting the opposite of who they perceive you to be, but in all honesty, you weren't acting weird because you became the opposite, you just felt like it. you felt like cracking under the surface as a new image kicks in.
in terms of relationship, maybe its a little different when it comes to megumi fushiguro and you.
something about the two of you being together had people swarming all over rumors and petty opinions that soon flooded all over your ears like running tap water, an endless stream that you had no control over their desperate mouths. though, you never cared, and so does your boyfriend, something that made them irk more because the two of you were this unshakable rock, both unyielding, too perfect and people can't seem to distinguish the dynamics between you and him - at least, thats what they see.
him, he's stoic - thats for sure, he's visage is this emotionless, plain guy. he speaks when necessary, cherishes silence. people perceive him as awkward, while some thinks he's reserved, for the most part, they see him with no spark. too serious, and too calculating - you heard it all.
it made you laugh at your situation in all honesty.
you can't comprehend this simplifying the equation but horrible bullshit they always use.
people will always have something to say, something to slice the wall of peace, something to ignite the drama flame with more gasoline. they see what's at the surface, and then poke it for no reason at all.
but lets say, even with all those who spew and pierce your relationship, it never reaches the point of burning all of what the two of you have built up. if the both of you are truly rocks, then there's no day that would exist of you and him falling to bits.
and perhaps, never will.
The night was painted in a shade of fervor dripping kisses, splashed of plum hues in warm cheeks, and tingling fireworks on flesh.
you peppered his face with dewy kisses as you toppled over his figure, hands on his torso, lips meeting the glitter of his moonlit and silvery cheekbones, his fingers curled in your hair with affection as he was tickled by your lids fluttering in his ivory face. the room exudes of drunken hot mess of air, he could feel burning upon the sensation.
he let out a shaky breath, turning his head as you nibbled his ear, then to his bare neck, his heart ricocheting in his milk ribcage and his face splashed upon warm mucky feeling of red. soon escaping out soft moans in the mist.
megumi struggled to cage in the sighs of pleasure because he could never get used to these nights of you devouring him and he couldn't dare to stop you from doing so. it was enticing, each caress renders him oh so speechless that he couldn't fathom but oh, he couldn't deny how hard it is to break this daze because he—
"do you find it annoying?"
your head retreating for a moment, finding his gaze, seeing him spilled of dim, cold white as his hair mushed messy in his pillow. he looked up at you as well, to see your eyes brushed of tiny little diamonds as if it looked like stars glinting within the cloaked of darkness and the river of [hair-color] strands framing your face. curiosity laced within your current question and he thought for a moment - furrowing his brows.
"what is?"
"i mean, do you hate this" your hand cupped his cheeks "you never refuse whenever these happen"
"then no, of course i don't find it annoying, if i did then i'd say it?" he paused when he saw you averting your gaze "is there a problem?"
you smile in disbelief  "...do you like it?"
his mind currently short circuiting
... i do
"i... don't...dislike it?" now he was the one drifting his eyes from your stare.
there was a halt in time that made megumi awkwardly pursed his lips, a calm look presented yet there was a wavering undertone beneath, he couldn't see you, and you weren't uttering a word.
"Pffft"
"eh-" you releasing such a soft chuckle made his stomach irk since you'd tell the things he absolutely detest of admitting. something you would take advantage of, something that he just can't wrap the right words or just anything to formally express of what we call feelings.
he does it so in ways of doing things, on the most smallest, almost unnoticeable occasions. he does it so when you just needed someone, to have the heart to vomit such raw thoughts (as cliche as it sounds). he does it so in ways that he could protect you from the fucked up world we live in with curses. and he does it so, in his own way.
he just wished as well that he could at least tell you in the easiest version.
but instead, you caught him off guard, flinching as you sigh in defeat and laid your head in his chest, a thumping heart that reminds you of just how on earth you had caught this man in your arms.
megumi fushiguro, the one who you hold dearly, the one you love to pester with your presence the most. the one you'd peel his layers of boundary oh so gently. the one you would see as not someone who's perfect, but the one star you would see in the sky glinting the most (as you can describe it, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder right?). he's complex like the rest, yet you hold his dream, ideals, and who he really is and damn, you wouldn't trade him for the world.
"[name]?"
you planted a kiss in his chest. "i get whatcha mean." smiling, you said "now, where were we?"
he scoffed, slowly blinking away and slightly pulled his collar, showing his neck.
"wow, you do like it"
"shut up okay"
to others, he's no star. but to you, he's everything that shines in your eyes.

# - 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐈 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ — 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 : Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zenin, Satoru Gojo & Toge Inumaki
masterlist | jjk masterlist | upcoming anon asks
Yuji
Yuji downright catches you two making out completely by accident. He borrowed a copy of a certain manga from megumi and planned to return it so when megumi told him just to bring it to his room to return it when he found the time, he not so subtly stumbled upon his two friends. Megumi was sat on his bed, you comfortably on his lap as sucked faces. His hands were rubbing your bad under your shirt, toying with the strap of your bra. Megumi’s hands moved to your hips to grind you on top of him.
Just as you were about to take the lead - “oh shit” stood at the entrance of your boyfriend’s door was non other than Yuji, eyes wide as he took in the position of you both. It took a few seconds of stuttered and jumbled up words only for megumi to grab a pillow and throw it in Yuji direction “piss off! Why don’t you knock next time?!” Narrowly missing the attack, yuji bent down to place the manga on the floor before quickly scurrying off in the furthest direction, “I’m so telling Gojo Sensei!”
Nobara
Nobara can tell straight off the bat just simply from the way you smile. “Why’re you smiling so damn much?” She’d ask, knowing damn well why. “Don’t I always smile this much?” Normally she’d agree until she sees the way your eyes flicker over to the table behind her, already imagining the love-stricken face a certain dark haired boy held. The next clue was the your reaction to a notification sounding on your phone, nearly diving for the device and soon followed by an even wider smile. “You’re practically glowing, you fucked already huh” whipping your head towards your friend you fumble over your words as a hue of pink stains your face - a dead giveaway. “that’s a sex glow if I’ve ever seen one”
Yuta
He is the one who keeps his nose out of everyone's business but even he couldn't help but feel intrigued when he noticed that Megumi had your scent on him one morning. Tasked with training with the first years, he was paired with Megumi. Battling back and forth caused the two to be within close proximity to each other, allowing Yuta to notice the whiff of perfume on Megumi’s uniform. Strange, where had he smelt that before? He’d find it strange how strong the scent was and took it upon himself to find out.
His opportunity arose on his walk through the school’s gardens, nearly knocking heads with you before he caught himself. Yuta didn’t even have time to open his mouth before a certain scent practically punched him in the face. And it certainly didn’t help when he was sat between you both on the field, overwhelmed with the mix of smells. “Do you guys swap deodorant or something?” Megumi just scrunched his eyebrows in frustration, his attention taken away from his book, “what the hell are you talking about now?” The irritation was clear in his voice as Yuta’s eyes flickered between you two. “You two smell like each other, why? You sleeping in the same bed or somethin’?”
Maki
Ohohoho she knew. Maki’s not stupid, she can see the way you both steal glances at each other, the secret smiles in the hallways, the ‘slick’ passing of notes… so when you start making excuses on days you’re due to train together she knew exactly where you’d be. “I’m really sorry but my mum asked me to head into Kyoto later to get something for her” another one of your white lies bled through your teeth. She just raised an eyebrow to your poor excuse. “A-ha, you heading there with your boytoy?” This of course caused you to trip over your words- “wha-I don’t-boyfriend? What’s that?” Only to receive a deadpan face in return.
Not only was that embarrassing enough but you just had to run into her in the hallways of your school - no less holding hands with your ‘boytoy’. “Oi name!” You heard from the other end of the hall, and unfortunately for megumi, causing your instincts to kick in. Quickly snatching your hand from his grasp you shoved him into a nearby classroom (hopefully not currently in use) followed by a crash bang - the tell tale signs of an upcoming injury and whiny boyfriend. “What was that?” Although she knew full well what - or who - that was. “Nothing! You’re seeing things!” You spat out in a panic. “Uh-huh, well tell megumi to come out when he has time, he has training with Gojo Sensei”
Gojo & Toge
Toge, the bastard, even though his speech fails him that doesn’t stop him from becoming the school’s gossip queen. Toge would be the one to tell everyone in the school group chat which of course includes Gojo which also leads the entirety of Japan to find out. And Gojo, oho Gojo, he’d make it his life mission to involve himself as much as possible in Megumi’s life. They’d actually work together; Toge would gather information and pass it on to his Sensei only for Gojo to use it against his son. They’d have their little gossip sesh during class of course, absolutely no shame whatsoever. But the way they found out was unfortunately unforgettable.
Walking into class after hours to get his pencil case that he mistakenly forgotten, Toge only walked in to find you sat on megumi’s desk with the boy sat on his chair with his head on your lap. Megumi had a girlfriend? Toge was almost convinced that he wasn’t into girls seeing as he paid no attention or care to the opposite sex. Oh how wrong he was. Of course he took a picture, what else was he supposed to do? Walk away? “Oh and what’s this?” Behind him of course was non other than the infamous six eyes - also his teacher. “Little Megumi’s not so little anymore huh”. If anyone were to see them they’d surely come off as creeps with Gojo’s tall frame shadowing Toge’s, both peeking through the screen door of the classroom. “Send me that picture won’t you?” Fortunately for them they didn’t make themselves noticeable, unfortunately for you word spread the next day.

you’re stopped from completing your task by a young boy with dark hair and wide glassy eyes desperately seeking your attention as he taps on your arm repeatedly.
“miss,” he calls, panic evident in the tone of his voice as he addresses you “can you please help me and my sister?”
you crouch before the boy as you place a soft smile on your face to ease his worry “sure thing kiddo, what’s the problem?”
“there’s this weird guy in glasses who keeps trying to take me and my sister away for ice cream,” his lip wobbles slightly as he continues “my parents told me to not go away with strange adults, please help us.”
now worry quickly fills you and your head turns to see if you can locate a manager near by but you remain calm as you take his hand in yours “can you show me where your sister is? i’ll make sure to keep you safe and find your parents, okay?”
the boy tears up and nods only to point at the guy with white hair adorning glasses and laughing along with a younger girl as they hop around on a trampoline, you turn to the kid clutching your hand and ask him “you’re sure you don’t know this guy?” he cries in response and you panic slightly, patting his shoulders before clearing your throat.
“excuse me sir, i’m going to have to ask you leave.”
the guy turns out to be similar in age to yourself and your expression morphs into one of disgust as you think about how vile he must be trying to leave with some children.
"huh?" he voices his confusion as he stops jumping and peers down at you with the little boy clutching onto your hand "what's wrong megumi?"
the boy whimpers as he stands behind you and you instinctively extend your arms to cover him as you glare at the white haired man who's approaching you "sir, i am asking you to leave before i'm forced to call the cops." you grit your teeth and gojo's expression falls and the young girl he was accompanying joins your little group.
"megumi!" she gasps and places her hands on her hips "you can't keep doing this." she scolds with a finger wagging at the boy who's stepped out from behind you, tears long gone and donning a deadpan expression.
"i was close, tsumiki." he pouts and the girl in turn grabs his cheeks in a pinch and you look at the two kids in confusion before feeling a tap on your shoulder and you look up to see the not harasser-harasser smiling down at you.
"hi, sorry about the scare, i'm their guardian and the kiddo loves playing pranks like that." he apologises with a carefree expression and your face slacks.
"you're their guardian?? aren't you my age??" you ask and he laughs merrily as he waves his hand.
"don't worry your pretty little head about it, it's a long story." just as your neck begins to heat up you're poked once more by the kids and watch as tsumiki forces her younger brother to apologise for bothering you and spreading false information about his legal guardian who is putting a lot of effort and time into raising them- you doubt those words were truly coming from either of the kids.
"it's fine," you sigh and crouch in front of megumi one more time "just maybe think of pranking him another way like putting dye in his shampoo or something like that instead of potentially needing to have someone bail him out of jail."
"oh, that's actually happened once before-" the "adult" adds in with a snicker and you shake your head.
"good luck." you tap the kids on their shoulders.

Left A Mark (megumi x reader fluff)
characters: megumi fushiguro x reader, gojo, itadori, nobara
warnings: FLUFFFFFFF
AN: this is short but cute asf. kinda ooc megumi? but i think he’s soft for his partner and i own jjk so it’s actually canon (i wish)
Tumblr media
A voice calls from the front door, “Hey, i’m heading out. I gotta meet up with the others for a mission…”
Swiping the applicator across her lips to finish her makeup, Y/N calls back, “Okay, one second! Don’t leave yet!”
Quickly gathering her purse and other necessary belongings she walks from the bedroom to the front door to meet her dark haired boyfriend.
“I’m leaving too. I gotta go to the store and buy some groceries.”
He looks down at her with a small smile, “You look beautiful today.”
“You say that everyday, Meg.” Y/N giggles
He huffs a laugh, opening the front door and letting her walk out first, “Because it’s true. You look beautiful everyday.”
He closes and locks the door behind him, “This job won’t take long. I’ll be home in about an hour or two.”
“Okay, i’ll be home around then too,” Y/N reaches up and plants a kiss on his cheek, “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” And he’s off to meet his classmates.
As he walks to the meeting spot at Jujutsu High Megumi notices the stares he’s getting from others. Some laughing slightly, some smiling, and a few glancing at him and saying, ‘awww’.
“The hell are they looking at..?” He grumbles under his breath.
Finally walking up to his class mates, Yuji is the first to notice him and wave him over, “Hey man, cmon! What took you so lo-… Oh?”
A shit eating grin crawls it’s way up Yuji’s face. Used to Yuji’s antics, Megumi ignores it. Until Yuji involves Nobara.
A sharp elbow to her side followed with a, “Look! Look!”, from Yuji catches her attention. Quickly, Nobara and Yuji are sporting matching smiles.
Nobara laughs, “You must’ve been busy, huh? That’s why you’re late.”
Cocking an eyebrow, Megumi responds, “Busy? I wasn’t busy. I was at home.”
“Yeahhhh, I bet you were at home,” Yuji cackles, “in bed!”
“So what? Didn’t have anything better to do before this. Why does that matter?” Megumi mutters.
As Megumi quickly becomes the source of Yuji and Nobara’s teasing, a loud voice interrupts, “WOAH! Megumi! You’re a little show off aren’t ya!”
Satoru Gojo, first year sensei at Jujutsu High and the bane of Megumi’s existence.
Turning to look at his sensei, Megumi finally asks, exasperated, “What the hell is everyone talking about and staring at me for?”
Giggling manically, Gojo hands him his cellphone, “Hehe, why don’t you take a look.”
Taking the phone and casting a quick glance at his reflection in the front facing camera Megumi’s jaw drops, “Wha-… what the hell?”
Sitting there, smack in the middle of his cheek, is a lipstick mark in the shape of his girlfriend’s lips.
Face turning bright red, Megumi hands the phone back to his sensei and grumbles, “Just shut the hell up and stop staring at me.”
Que Nobara, Yuji, and Gojo singing in unison, “Oooooooo Megumi is in looooovvveeeeee~”
“Be quiet you three idiots!”
*A FEW HOURS LATER*
Having returned from the grocery store not long ago, Y/N busied herself by putting the groceries away. Just as she’s reaching for the last grocery bag, the front door clicks open.
“Meg? Is that you?” She asks.
“Yeah, I’m home!” Megumi answers.
“I’m in the kitchen! How was the mission?”
Shrugging out of his uniform jacket, Megumi makes his way to the kitchen, “It was okay. Gojo and the others are annoying as ever.”
Giggling, Y/N turns to face him, “Well you know how those three can b- oh?”
At her noise of surprise, Megumi looks up at her, “What?”
“Megs… uh.. your cheek?” Y/N gestures to her own.
“Oh yeah… Thanks for that by the way,” he sighs, “Gojo, Nobara, and Yuji gave me hell with all the teasing.”
Y/N laughs lightly, walking up to him and putting a hand over the kiss mark, “Why didn’t you just wipe it off?”
Megumi looks at her confused, “Why would I do that?”
“So nobody teases you for it?”
Megumi scoffs, placing his hands on Y/N’s hips and pulling her close, “I don’t care about their teasing that much. Besides they’re just jealous.”
Y/N smiles, questioning, “Jealous of what exactly?”
“Jealous that I have someone like you to come home to.”
Y/N blushes at his answer, before he speaks again, “And… it was kinda like you were with me all day today. But now that I’m here with you…,” he picks her up ignoring her squeak of surprise, and walks toward the bathroom, “… now I can wash it off.”

GENTLE — MEGUMI FUSHIGURO
megumi is so gentle, and that's what you love about him.
warnings: reader is not a sorcerer, angst (happy ending), brief mention of suicidal thoughts, an extremely vague spoiler, timeskip!megumi
Tumblr media
You know there's something wrong when Megumi knocks on your door at 2:35 AM.
You know it because he collapses into your arms and you hear the rainwater drip onto your hardwood floor; he buries his face into your neck above your collarbone, soaking the straps of your tank top, and you wonder with a heavy heart if his face is wet from the rain or his tears.
You know it because you hold him like that for minutes on end, your front door wide open as the storm brews on outside.
You know it because when he steps out of your bathroom after you gave him a clean set of clothes— his hoodie that he gave you and the sweatpants he tried to buy for you (he accidentally got a size larger)— his undereyes are puffy and red, and he attempts a weak smile.
You know it because he doesn't say a word, even as you lay your blankets over him before you lie down on your side.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Your voice cracks against your will, and you do your best to swallow the mucus that's building up in your throat because even if you've seen Megumi at his low moments, you've never seen this before— you think the moment might be seared into your brain forever, how he shivered at your touch despite the fact that his skin was far colder than yours, how he looked so lost on your doorstep.
Your heart aches for him.
You've forgotten that despite his brilliance, that a human’s hands get tired after a while, that a human’s shoulders can only carry the weight of the world for so long, that a human’s legs can get sore, that a human’s lungs can stop breathing, that a human’s heart can stop beating, and that Fushiguro Megumi is only human.
Despite everything, he's still only human.
He stares at you with that same heartbroken expression, his jaw clenched, his eyebrows furrowed, his eyelashes wet, and his voice barely comes out as a whisper, “I think we should break up.”
The tension in your room gets heavy as you take a quick breath, “C’mon, ‘Gumi, you don't mean that, what's wrong?” Your hand grips underneath the pillow.
He stays silent, but his eyes shift to the pillow you lie on, the way your hair sprawls out on it. “I had a nightmare.” He says quietly, “Except it wasn't a nightmare, because nightmares aren't fucking real— these were just my memories. I was just watching them like a fucking sideshow, I wasn't even chained down to the chair or anything, I could've left if I wanted to but I couldn't bring myself to move— I just kept watching.”
You don't know much about Megumi’s past, nor the world of sorcery in general, only that it's heavy and burdened. He tries not to let it affect him, but you can tell that it's there, beneath the ocean of kindness in his eyes. You know his dreams sometimes make him restless, based on how he mutters nonsense in his sleep from time to time. You know that like many teenagers, he used to think about what it might be like to die, to stop the suffering that mangled his waking moments; but unlike many teenagers, he's brushed death more times than he could count on both of his hands. You know that something happened to him when he was 15, something that scarred his mind and tampered with his heart; something that was far worse than death. Every time you've asked, he's brushed it off, retreating back into his cave of comfort and shadows— and it's fine with you, because as long as you have him, you're fine.
“I'm not good enough to be with you.” His words sound thick and heavy with an emotion that you've never heard from him, “You deserve someone strong enough to protect you, someone—”
“What are you saying?” You can barely see anything with your lights turned off, but you see his hand reach up to his eyes, wiping something wet away.
“You don't deserve to carry someone else's baggage for the rest of your life. Especially not mine.” He struggles to get through the sentence, his pain etched onto every single syllable that leaves his mouth.
You feel the tears well up in your eyes but you try to keep them at bay, sniffling your nose, because you love Fushiguro Megumi. You've never said the words out loud, but you feel it in your bones, coursing through your veins, so much so that it lights fires in your nerves— not the ones that burn, the ones that heal, the ones that protect.
“I love you though.” You croak, “Baggage and all.”
The storm rages on outside, but you doubt it can compare to the turmoil you see in Megumi’s eyes. It leaves you quiet, makes your room feel all too silent, and he clenches his jaw again.
“Why?”
It's an easy question to answer, you think to yourself. You love Megumi because he makes your chest feel all warm and fuzzy, because he makes you laugh until your cheeks hurt, because he doesn't pretend to be strong around you. You love him because when he kisses you, you can tell how much he loves you too.
“Because you're gentle.” You say softly, “Because even when you act so grumpy ‘nd stoic around everyone, even though you're this super strong sorcerer or whatever, whenever you come back home to me, you're gentle.”
Home.
Megumi likes that word.
You gingerly reach your hand to cup the side of his face, lying against his jaw as your thumb strokes his wet cheek, he flinches, but he doesn't flinch away. “I don't love you despite your baggage, I love you with it.” You lean forward, placing a kiss on his forehead before you lean away to look at him. You try to study the way his dark eyes shift, the way his eyebrows move, the curves of his nose, the wobble in his lips.
“I love you because you're sweet, because you're kind, because you're soft, because you care,” you list each reason with a peck on his warm skin, “I love you because you're you.”
Megumi stares at your eyes, then your lips, before he kisses you. He always kisses you like you're the world to him, he's always sickeningly sweet as his lips mold against yours, but there's something delicate this time. He's extra gentle, like if he kisses you too hard he might break, like he'll fall apart only to never be put back together. You know when Megumi is trying to shield his heart from his own emotions, but you were never one to push, especially not now, not with the way he trembles when he pulls away, how his breathing slows, but you can feel it: the urgency in his emotions, just how much he cares about you.
“I'm sorry,” he apologies, “My mind is a mess today.”
“To be clear, we're not breaking up, right?” You ask weakly, a hesitant smile making it's way onto your face.
“No.” Megumi shakes his head, “I don't want to.”
He lies a little bit more open now, no longer using his arms to protect him, no longer creating a barrier between you and him. You take the silent invitation, moving slowly, gingerly shifting towards him as you take him into your arms. He lies on your chest, his arms around your waist, and once you put your arms around him, he pulls you towards him, hugging you close.
“I like you,” he murmurs, his eyes closed, “So much.”
“Even if I was a worm?” You quip faintly, half a heart to go with your joke, the rest to focus solely on the man in your arms. You don't mind that he doesn't say that he loves you, you know he's not the type to articulate his emotions, and it's okay because for Megumi, you would wait until the world got swallowed by the sun.
“I think so, yeah.” He laughs a little bit —relief— you think to yourself, “I'd build a cute terrarium for you and make sure the soil is good, I'd water it every day and make sure the roots are fine. I'd think about putting other worms in there, but…”
“You'd get jealous?” You gasp in delight, giggling at the way he blushes feverishly against your skin, “Don't worry, ‘Gumi, I wouldn't fall for anyone else. Even if they were a worm too.”
You know your relationship isn't perfect, you two couldn't stop arguing when you met afterall, you know that you're not perfect either, but there's something about the way Megumi loves you that sends your heart skipping a beat, that gets your blood pumping faster.
Even if you have yet to clean up your hardwood floors, even if his hair is still damp against your silk pillow sheet, even as the lightning and rain pour relentlessly outside, Megumi still makes you feel nervous, like you're a teenager holding hands with another person for the first time; Megumi loves you surely— awfully slowly, but so securely.
“Will you be here when I wake up?” Megumi asks, his breathing evening out, his grip on you loosening.
“Always.”
The night washes away and its tones and hues of dark blue and purple turn into the morning sky, and Megumi wakes up at the same time he always does.
It's the start of his routine to wake up at 7 AM every day, even if he's only gotten a couple hours of sleep, even if you wake up much later. He sees you, though, your arms still around his and the rest of your body curled into him. Your hair is messy and sprawled, your chest rising up and down in slow breaths, your top hitched to show a little bit of your bare skin. He tucks a lock of hair behind your ear, carefully watching your expressions.
And for the first time in a while, Megumi lets himself feel tired. He closes his eyes, letting his body bask in the sun that's just barely peeking through the blinds, hugging you tighter as he presses a soft kiss to your cheek.
Even though he thought the world was going to end yesterday, even though the weather seemed to agree, the sun still rose. Maybe that meant something.
“I love you.” He whispers quietly, so much so that even he can barely hear it. As he falls asleep, he thinks he hears you say that you love him too.

notes: i don’t know why but tumblr is just annoying. when i try to edit things they disappear and just… the algorithm is shit. i thought i’m shadowbanned but i don’t think so anymore. whatever, i hope things get better.
content: sukuna ryoman x f!reader, reincarnation, past lovers, curse words (not a lot of them), sfw, human sukuna (from that time when he was actually human), flashbacks, lovers to strangers, mentions of death, sick reader (in the past), sorcerer reader (present time), sukuna has sentiments?, sukuna is soft for reader, past sukuna looks kinda like itadori yuji, not the same tho, but very similar, mention of pills, slightly an au because sukuna will never be this nice, reader is older than yuji but sukuna is older? that makes sense? mentions of blood.

i also have an official masterlist, so check it out here
also now we have a part 2 - here
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
all your life you felt a very strong sensation of deja vu that you could not explain. you tried meditation, yoga, different activities you thought you were never able to do - but the feeling was still there. so you had to live with it, even though it bugged you every day.
“remember me, because i will never stop searching for you.”
after you discovered you were a jujutsu sorcerer a few years back, you thought that all the things finally were in their place, but you were wrong. after you discovered the world of curses, you started having dreams.
"nightmares" you would tell other people when they asked, but for you, they were never nightmares. a nightmare was supposed to describe an ugly monster, someone evil with blood thirst, so why were you dreaming about a charming man with a beautiful smile and enchanting red eyes?
at first, these dreams were strange, short, and out of context, but then they started to take shape, lasting longer, and having a coherent narrative thread. but you still haven't managed to figure out who that man was. it was strange really, dreaming about someone you hadn’t even met before. you felt a connection with him, your heart telling you that you have to be close to him, but your mind was telling you to run.
you thought you were going crazy at some point. you remembered every single detail from every single dream, but deep down you enjoyed your little “nightmares”, because unconsciously you were waiting for your man with red eyes. you were waiting for him to come back to you, even though you never met him.
they were different every time, the dreams. but one thing was the same in all of them.
him.
the eyes that looked at you lovingly, his soft voice when he was speaking with you, a hand over your waist just to keep you close. you never knew his real name, always calling him nicknames and him calling you ‘princess’.
“kuna, come here!” you shouted, making a hand gesture at the man. he smiled when looking at you, making his way over.
he took a seat beside you, under the cherry blossom tree. the spring season just started and the scenery looked breathtaking. blue clear sky, pink petals, and red, beautiful eyes.
“why are you here so early, princess? you were supposed to rest,” he stated, his hand making his way to your hand, playing with your delicate fingers. you could see he was concerned.
but why? you did not remember. that was the moment you woke up and that was all you recalled. but now, every time you saw a cherry blossom tree you thought about the sweet dream you had.
“kuna, you think we will be together forever?” you recalled telling him one day when the two of you were cuddling under the well-known tree. he was reading a book with one hand, the other playing with your hair.
“i’m sure, princess, that we will. i’ll make sure of that” was his reply, smiling sweetly at you.
“they don’t give me that much time, though.”
you were slowly dying, or better said, your dream version was. the few dreams you had about this were very sad and painful, a strong feeling of recognition being present in your gut.
“when i’m no more, please take good care of yourself.”
the dreams started being more unsettling, more dark, and very apathetic. you started taking pills just to be able to sleep a few hours a day, but after some time you stopped taking them, not working anymore.
and so when gojo satoru asked for your help regarding a cursed object, you agreed.
‘maybe working hard on this boring thing will make me sleepy enough.’ you thought on your way to tokyo, ready to help the handsome sorcerer who proposed the mission. it was not your cup of tea, but knowing him, he would never shut up about that and in the end, you would still help him.
“you remember the first time we met?” he asked, taking a small piece of your hair in his hands, and proceeding to kiss it a moment after.
“you mean the time when you almost killed me?”
“fuck, you know i regret that princess.” he hissed, leaning forward to brush a flower petal that was stuck in your hair clip. “just pretend that was not the first time we met.” he continued, looking away.
you giggled softly, taking his big hands into your cold ones. it was summer now, but you were getting colder as the days went by. you lover was concerned, but he had enough hope that a miracle would happen and make you healthy again.
you never believed in hope.
“how can i do that, my love? that was the time i fell in love with you.” was your response, now your turn to kiss his knuckles.
“i still find myself asking how such a wonderful person as you fell in love with a crazy and broken person like me.” the red-eyed stranger muttered, letting his head rest on yours.
“maybe because i’m too, crazy and broken.”
as you walked your way to jujutsu high, a school that took you under their wing to teach you how to control your power, memories started flowing inside of your head. unfortunately, you had to move right after graduating and never had the time to stay in touch with your childhood friends: shoko, satoru, and… suguru.
you felt bad for what happened because you weren’t there for them and chose to leave them behind when they needed someone to cry to. you would never forgive yourself for that.
“yo, [name]. long time no see.” a white hair shouted in your direction.
“indeed, gojo. i would say i missed your crackhead ass, but i would be lying,” you responded to your long friend, making your way to him to hug him. letting his infinity down, he took you into his arms, spinning you a few times,
“relentless as usual, it's good to know that you haven't changed at all” he added, putting your weight down back on the drown. “still having problems with sleep?”
“yeah. stopped taking the pills too, made the dreams worse.”
“tell shoko that, she started having the same problem.” was his response, but he continued, never letting you adventuring further into the conversation. “let’s go to yaga, i’m sure he is waiting for us. also, you need to meet megumi, he heard a lot about you.”
“i hope good things-” you asked, but seeing gojo’s face making a grin you let out an annoyed sigh, “satoru!”
“good things, very good things. the only thing i told him was that you were in love with sakura flowers.” he laughed.
“you look so funny, ‘kuna” you giggled, eyeing the handsome man in front of you.
“you and your damn flowers, my love. when did you have time for this?” ‘kuna asked, taking his flower crown from his head and putting it on his lap.
“last night. i thought about your pretty pinkish hair and how the sakura flowers would look through it.” was your answer, making your way to steal a kiss from him.
”i wish i could look at this every day and night.” you continued, looking at his frame with admiration and affection.
“be my wife”
“what?”
“be my wife. fuck it, no. be my queen,” he repeated himself, placing the flower crown that stood on his lap onto your hair. he made you speechless. his what?
the high school was packed with kids, remembering you about your childhood before becoming a full-time sorcerer. you and megumi had the task to identify where the cursed object was and bring it back to the principal. simple as that, right?
“fucking hell, where the fuck is this thing?”
it was not simple. not at all. you spent almost all day looking for what? a finger? you regretted coming back to tokyo now.
“cheer up. we will find it.” megumi comforted you, giving you a soft look. he was right, you just needed to look a bit more.
“i don’t want to die” you confessed, looking down at your bloody hands.
deadly. you had a deadly sickness.
the cough you've had all your life suddenly got worse one day, and now, standing in your childhood bed full of blood you coughed up a few minutes ago, you could tell that it was not a pleasant sight at all.
you wanted your last moments to be at the cherry blossom tree, with your lover, watching over the moon at peace, not in your blood-covered bed surrounded by doctors and crying women.
‘please, god. give me strength to remain alive just enough to see my lover again. the beautiful man i fell in love with.” you prayed, closing your eyes and letting a tear glide down on your cold cheek.
the situation was very fucked up, the curses were everywhere and you and megumi had no idea where the cursed object was anymore.
earlier, you two met yuji itadori, a high school kid able to see curses, but now you did not know where he was either. you and megumi were separated and even though you searched for him you could find him anywhere.
‘maybe the roof?”
and so you got there, and oh man, you did not like the view. a gigantic, ugly-looking curse and yuji, in between his fingers. that was a moment your heart stopped for a minute, looking for megumi a few seconds later.
“megumi. where is the finger?”
“yuji. he has it” and at that moment, you saw something that you were never imagining to witness.
yuji ate the fucking cursed finger.
“sukuna” your voice was low, almost like a whisper.
“princess. what in the world happened? how? i-”
“no. ‘kuna, let me say goodbye-” you wanted to tell him, but the red-eye man in front of you interrupted you harshly, taking your cold hand in his warm one, giving it a lovely squeeze.
“no. i’m not going to accept that. what goodbye, my princess? you would not die.” he started lying to himself, almost too afraid to accept the situation.
“it’s not something new, sukuna. i knew this would happen eventually… so i’m not surprised. but i wish, for one thing, my love. please, let me wish for just one thing.”
there was a silence. now, in the peace of the night with your lover, you were obligated to give your last breath, and so you wanted no regrets.
“i love you. i will always love you and i will be born again. i know it’s selfish for me to ask this, god please forgive me, but i wish to be selfish one time in my life.”
the moon was shining bright on the black sky, and the stars were screening for another sister, ready to give her a peaceful death.
“sukuna… let me be your queen in my next life.”
looking now at the man in front of you, you could see a familiarity that yuji didn’t have before. yuji was yuji, but the yuji in front of you, even though he looked like himself, was not the high school boy you met earlier in the day.
red eyes.
the red eyes looked at yours with a familiar feeling, as if he already knew your eyes and had already looked into them a million times by now. the same eyes ‘he’ looked at you on your deathbed.
“sukuna”

“The downfall of our family.”
.Older brother reader.
–めんどくさい.
Warnings ; Angst, child neglect and brief mentions of death. Mamaguro dies after Megumi is born.
Tumblr media
•–· It wasn't easy being the first born, before megumi was born everything was still normal at some point. The last fun memory you had was when your father laid beside you, watching you read some comic book and he saw how your smile shined so brightly at the sight of some printed pictures. Toji never had that experience.
He watches his own son in silence, your mother is sleeping already. The bump in her stomach is so visible you couldn't help but close the comic book shut, Toji was a bit surprised as his eyes followed you when you stood up from the futon and made your way to your mother. “Kid, what are you doing—” It's only then he realizes late you were kneeling down and pressed your ear on your mom's stomach.
You feel the baby slightly kicking inside of her stomach, your little brother is in there and your eyes widened when you felt it kick on your cheek. Your mother groaned a bit and Toji just laid his head on the pillow near beside her, his hand caressing her stomach. “Dad, do you think he'll like me?” Five year old you asks. Toji hummed in agreement.
“He will, you two are brothers and it's only natural that you two will have a connection.” Toji spoke. “If he doesn't like you, that's also natural. He'll eventually grow out of it, he's still a baby.” You only keep silent and the sound of small snoring could be heard, it was definitely your dad's. You look up to see your mom sound asleep as the lights are still turned on, you stood up and flipped the light switch.
You go back to bed with your mom and dad.
It went on so fast, your brother was born and he was named shortly after. Megumi was his name, your father said so. At first you thought it was a silly name for a boy, you were outside of the hospital room. Fingers fidgeting anxiously when your father hasn't come out of the room yet, what was taking him so long ? And how come you're still not allowed inside, you were six years old already ! When your dad gets out of the room, his hands are curled in a tight fist.
Sweat forming on his forehead, his eyes were wide as he stayed glued on the floor and it seemed like he was out of breath. Many questions run through the inside of your head but one question only stands out, why does it look like your father has cried a lot. He has never cried before even when you broke his watch one time, the one that your mother gifted him.
You got off the seat, walking a little fast towards him and Toji flinched when you touched his hand. Even the skin of his hand was drenched with cold sweat, he uncurls his fist and his sweaty palm was all you could feel. “Listen to what i'm gonna say, alright.” It didn't even sound like a request, he kneels down as he sighs again. “Go home and just heat up the leftovers we had last night, i'll be with your mom for now.” He takes your small hands and gives you the key to the home.
You simply nodded, confused. What's up with his humour tonight ? But you didn't care, you couldn't wait to see Megumi soon and your mom as well. It must have been a painful process but you knew that your mom was a tough lady, she endured it by being so silent ! The doctors were screaming and your dad got even scared, that just proves that your mom was stronger than anyone else.
The hospital wasn't so far from home anyway, you hummed as you walked around the streets. When you heard the thunder rumbling from the clouds you didn't hesitate running already ! You can't risk getting sick, mom wouldn't want that especially when she's also getting better. “Mean rain!” You yelled repeatedly until you finally reached the apartment complex. You took the key out from your pocket and put it in the key hole, twisting the door knob as it opened.
You struggled a little reaching it but you finally got inside the house, you take off your drenched shoes, not putting them in the shoe rack as you'll hang them to dry later. You'll be waiting for your father until later, you walk inside of the bathroom. Taking off your clothes and leaving them on the floor, you turn on the hot shower. Washing off any dirt from your body, nothing felt sticky on your skin anymore. You wondered again, "How long will it take for mom to come back ? Hm.”
She's dead, it slips out of Toji's mouth when he's drunk and staring at the ceiling. You complained about the milk running out and because of that Megumi wouldn't stop crying at all, the whole day without Toji being present felt like a punishment at some point. “What?” You asked, not able to process the information. You held Megumi in your arms, Toji wasn't back home for a few days after the night Megumi was born. He only came back soon with the brother you were hoping for.
The small cup is empty on Toji's hand, he blinks and he stares back at you. “She's gone, she died after Megumi was born.” No, you weren't angry by the fact that Megumi was the reason for your mother's death, you were angered by how your father had said it so casually. Did he not feel any emotions ? It's as if this was already expected, why was he like this ? You couldn't understand, you were still a child.
Six years old to be exact, it was said so casually your immature brain didn't know what to do.
“Grow up.” He says.
And you did grow up, Toji has been absent for most of the time. Leaving you to take care of Megumi alone, you struggled to make him homemade meals. You saw what babies are fed on the TV and you wanted to make that too, but you lacked ingredients and you didn't want to risk burning the whole building down. You had a stool to help yourself reach things, you'd make instant ramen easily and fed Megumi some.
This wasn't healthy, you knew that. You missed mom, her home cooked meals and the chicken soup she'd make during your birthdays. You didn't like sweets that much, you liked the soup with a lot of ginger. Megumi babbled words, you thought about what it must be like if mom was here holding him right now. You wouldn't struggle trying to feed him on the high chair.
But it's fine, this is all fine. You can take care of Megumi, you don't need anyone else besides your mother. She's there to guide you, even without her physical presence you know that she's still there by your side. Your father must have been busy with work, he was always in these kinds of jobs. You once saw him wiping one of his swords.
But enough of that, it was time to give Megumi a bath. “Megumii, it's bath time! Are you excited?” Your Megumi happily replied by blowing raspberries as he raised his hands towards you, you smiled and kissed them. You carried him up and took him to the bathroom, getting the duty done as soon as possible.
You're nine years old when Toji decides to drop you and Megumi off in another new place, you didn't know what was going on but he was smiling. You were confused until a new woman opens the door for him and hugs him tightly, Megumi holds your hand tightly and you look down to see him whining quietly as you carry him up. “Meet your new home, Megumi and [Y/N]. Starting from now on, you'll stay with your new mom.”
That word again, when was the last time you've heard it ? 'Mom'. It sounded strange and before you knew it, a new child was inside the picture frame. "Meet my daughter, Tsumiki. I think you two are almost the same age, right? That's cute.” Tsumiki seemed polite, she offered you a warm smile while Megumi only clung to you tightly. “Let's get inside.” Toji said.
You all ate dinner in silence, it wasn't that great. The woman wasn't really a cook and Toji most likely just bought cheaper food that you can just heat up so no one would be bothered. Megumi tugged on your sleeve, you hummed and it caught Toji's attention when you leaned down to listen to Megumi's whisper on your ear. You nodded in agreement and stood up from the chair. Tsumiki was curious when you helped Megumi get off the chair.
“Where's the bathroom if you don't mind me asking, please?” Tsumiki's mom had such bright red lips from her lipstick, you missed your actual mom. She spoke with no politeness, the tone of her voice sounded so, so unattractive. Why did your dad even get with her? “It's the last door at the end of the hallway, sweetie. Left door.” You didn't like it, even Megumi doesn't like her.
You guided Megumi in the bathroom, Toji stared at you two. As his new wife held his hand he almost flinched if it weren't for her kiss on his cheek, he only rolled his eyes as she laughs softly. Tsumiki only stared at the scene, putting her chopsticks down and standing up from her seat. “You can just leave the dishes in the sink and I'll wash them once you two are done eating, you can just call me.”
Tsumiki's mom didn't really care much and just nodded, Tsumiki walked to her room and opened the door inside to her room.
It wasn't so great fitting inside of this new family.
Megumi is Four years old when Toji leaves him in your care, he leaves with no goodbye besides you and Tsumiki looking worriedly at Megumi as he stared down up from the balcony to see that his only parent was walking away. Unaware of being abandoned already, Tsumiki stared at you and you finally looked up to look eye to eye with her. “I'll prepare dinner, alright?” You simply nodded back.
You pet Megumi's head, ruffling his hair and he huffs making an annoyed noise. “He's going to work again, hmph.” Megumi crossed his arms to his chest, clearly upset. Your Gumi shouldn't be frustrated, too much negativity can curse the whole house. You only sighed softly, kneeling down and kissing him on the forehead.
“You have me, don't worr—” And before you know it Megumi's yell could have probably woken everyone up in the streets, even the neighbors at each room in the building from his yell. “I don't need you, nii-san ! I want dad, you're different and you're not him! I just want dad.” Ah, you understand now. It was normal for a child like him to have tantrums, you didn't even hear Tsumiki panically running towards you two.
“That's okay, i'm sorry but i also can't bring him back here.” You knew that Megumi probably had a lot of questions loaded inside of his brain, he's still a child and he can't know the truth. Everything that's happening around him shouldn't be known. A child, that's what he is. You're the same as Tsumiki, you and her were just ten years old. Not even close to being a teenager yet. “You have to promise you'll get him again, you'll get our dad.” Megumi didn't even cry after he saw his dad disappear in the dark streets.
The busted street light couldn't even let him see his father's figure one last time. “You know i'm not some superhero, Gumi. I'm sorry but maybe you are! You can be a superhero and find dad.” Tsumiki stared intensely at Megumi.
“I just wish you would stop trying to make everything all happy, that's not the way it is when everything is just messed up.” A four year old said all of that to you, a literal child. Sometimes, you just think about what would this little child say once that you die. It's either an accident or you just ultimately kill yourself when you can't handle everything.
But your mom wouldn't want that, how about your dad? You bet he wouldn't care anyway, just like when mom died. You stare at Megumi with a soft gaze, a cordial smile until then you finally stood up and took his hand in a gentle manner. Taking him inside of the home, Tsumiki moves out of the way and sighs. “I know it's rough but we'll just go past it like we always do, Gumi. With Tsumiki we can manage, isn't that right Tsumiki?”
She simply nodded in agreement.
Everything will just remain fine, even without their father or Tsumiki's mother it's all fine. You guys don't have much money but you'll manage despite being just children, no matter how hard it takes you know that there's always a solution to a problem.

If you can land a punch I'll reward you" he smirked while getting into position, stretching his neck and arms.
You had been trying to land a hit on him for the past 3 hours, failing every single time as he'd end up pinning you underneath him.
"Oh yeah?" You wheezed "And what would that be?"
"You'll find out soon enough, that's if I allow you to lay a finger on me"
You rolled your eyes with a playful scoff "Cocky bastard"
You were about 3 feet away from each other, staring into his eyes intensely while you waited for the countdown.
"3" he stated, watching as your feet shuffled a bit, spreading them out so you would be able to charge.
"2"
"1"
"Go!" With that, you rushed towards him and he just stood still, smiling as if he was mocking you. Yes you were his girlfriend and he loved you dearly, but he wasn't going to go easy on you. One of the reasons was that you needed the raw experience of what it's like in combat. What it is like to battle a curse.
Just as you reached your hand out to grab him, he disappeared into thin air. Swiftly coming up behind you and holding your arms behind your back. His warm body pressed against your back.
"Gotcha" he husked into your ear while to struggled to free yourself. You weren't ready to give up just yet though, you had a plan in mind that your beloved gojo had no clue about
You thought on your feet and did a half backflip, your legs hooking his head in place as you used all your strength to pull him down to the ground. A surprised yelp came from his lips when the roles were now reversed, You somehow managed to straddle him as you sat on his back, his chest flat against the floor.
He let out o huff of amusement from where his face was smooshed on the floor. He purposefully went easy on you and that pissed you off. You pulled your fist back and collided it on his back with exceptional power, earning a little grunt from him.
"I deserve that"
"Why did you go easy on me that round" you asked crossing your arms.
"We've been going at it for 3 hours sweetheart" he sat up and maneuvered you to sit on his lap, rubbing your arms soothingly "I just figured we call it a day and get some rest"
Your face was still visibly upset, lips pouty, and brows furrowed. After all the time you spent on this, he was just going to stop trying and call it a day?
He kissed your pouty lips and unraveled your crossed arms. "You can't stay mad at me"
You looked away.
"C'mon," he peppered kisses along your face and you tried hard to stifle the smile that so desperately wanted to appear.
You finally cracked when the kisses were targeted toward your neck. "Fine we can go home... that's if you give me a massage before bed"
He smiled and planted a kiss on your lips.
"Deal"

"You're behind the oak tree which is 240 degrees to my left," Nanami said blankly, a black blindfold covering his eyes.
He was supposed to be helping you improve your sneaking abilities, and one way you could do that was to try and tackle him while he was blindfolded in a forest.
You weren't going to lie and say it was easy, because so far he's been able to pinpoint your exact location with just his ears.
You changed positions, jumping onto the tree branch directly above him.
"You are currently above-" he stopped, hearing a sound on his left and one in front of him. He knew what you were doing. You were throwing random objects around to try and confuse him.
Now he was alert, standing still so he could catch even the slightest bit of your breathing. A series of rocks fell around him, yet he still couldn't hear where you were.
Nanami knew you were smart, so it would only be fitting to be prepared for anything. You were just that unpredictable.
Just as he thought that you pushed his chest. Sending him a few steps back and he tripped over the wire you had set up behind him. He spun around to stop the fall but another wire had been placed, wrapping around his feet. Leaving him to dangle for the tree branch.
Nanami was officially trapped, and you were the one that trapped him. You couldn't help but smile at your accomplishment.
"Well-" he groaned, taking off the blindfold "This is an unfortunate turn of events"
"Gotcha" you panted from where you stood below him. "You're a pretty tough cookie Kento"
"You flatter me darling"
You seized this moment as an opportunity to catch his lips in yours. Initiating a sweet Spiderman kiss.
You didn't even know how but he somehow managed to break free of the restraints on his legs, breaking from the kiss and landing swiftly on his feet. Clearing his throat as he carried you princess style.
"Nice work today" He kissed your lips once again "Not only did you manage to capture me but you also came up with a master plan which isn't half bad"
"If only it didnt take 3 fricking hours" you groaned into his chest. "Can we go home now please?"
"Of course we can"

"You're way too cute yuuji" you giggled, kissing the top of his nose while he lay on the floor. Tangled by the net trap you had set up for him earlier.
You had told him to give it his all but he refused because he was worried he'd hurt you, so instead of fighting back he let you use him to train, allowing himself to be captured and tackled. Which wasn't a problem for him at all, considering his durability.
"Looks like you got me.." he struggled under the net, letting out a sigh of defeat. "again"
"Yuuji are you underestimating me?" You taunted, untying the net to let him out.
He immediately got defensive, flailing his hands frantically "No it's not like that at all I promise!"
"It seems like it to me" you fake pouted, facing your back to him and crossing your arms. "You think I'm weak huh?"
"Baby don't be like that" he called to you but you refused to answer. Not bothering to even listen to what he was saying.
Swiftly he pulled you by the waist from where he sat on the floor and placed you on his lap. His face rested on your shoulder while you struggled in his grasp.
"If you can get yourself free from my cuddles I'll agree to fight back" he mumbled into your neck and closed his eyes.
You smiled to yourself mischievously. Unbeknonks to Yuuji, you had a good idea of how to get yourself free of his grasp.
You stealthily reached your hands towards the sides of his stomach and he thought nothing about it. That was until tickled the spot wildly.
He yelled in surprise and his arms loosened around you. You took that as an opportunity to pin him down and hover above him. His face was one of shock when you were suddenly above him.
You kissed the tip of his nose and giggled.
"Pinned ya"

"You're too predictable," Megumi said, swiftly dodging the staff you swung in his direction, and grabbing it. Pulling it towards him till your chest made contact with his.
"You're not helping" you groaned "Can't you like- I dunno give me some specific tips?"
"Well for starters you have to work on being lighter on your feet, your movements are way to predictable and you start off with the same attack, you also aren't utalising the other parts of your body because you put all your focus on the staff"
You huffed out in exhaustion, you would ask him if you could both just go home and cuddle, but you knew very well that your boyfriend was too disciplined to slack off.
"Like this," he said coming up behind you and placing his hands over yours, which had the butterflies in your stomach going wild. He then showed you a better way to start your attacks. It was nothing fancy, just something simple to steer you in the right direction.
He was well aware that you had used up most of your energy for the day, and your movements would most likely be sloppy from now on because of no motivation. He had to find something, anything that would just motivate you for this final 30 minutes.
"If you can get it right I'll give you a kiss"
Your eyes lit up immediately and you straightened up. Looking into his eyes for any hint of dishonesty. A small smile was plastered on his face but you could tell that he was dead serious.
You strengthened the grip on your staff and got into position, determination overcoming you, the reward is the only thing on your mind. Megumi smirked at your sudden change in attitude, realizing that his small stunt had worked.
You charged at him again, this time landing the strike perfectly on the side of his stomach. He didn't feel a thing because the training staff was made from plastic. Yet he couldn't stop the stupid smile from appearing onto his face.
"Did I do it right?" You asked with the cutest face he has ever seen and he nodded causing you to jump around in excitement.
"You saw that right?!" You said to him excitedly "I was like WHOOSH-then I was all like-KAPOW and then I was-"
Megumi cut you off by bringing his lips to yours for a bit before pulling away. This caused you to be a bit flustered as you couldn't utter words anymore, you just stared at him with an expression that made him feel some type of way.
"Im so proud of you" he glowed, caressing your cheek with his hand.

‘That kid's looking at you!’
‘No he isn’t!’
‘Yes he is! Look, look!’
Closing your eyes in frustration, you exhale through your nose. Could these damn ghosts ever give you a break?
All you wanted was a midnight snack. That's what brought you to this convenience store (at this ungodly hour) in the first place.
You ignore the wispy forms of the ghosts that follow you around everywhere, picking up your favorite snacks and sweets. One in particular was blocking your way, so you swat at the air where they hovered.
‘Oh!’ The ghost exclaims in offense. ‘Why, I'd never!’
Now you've done it. All the spirits floating around suddenly get unbearably loud, complaining about how rude you are. Apparently, you're dreadful company. But that's hardly fair when you never asked for them to hang around.
You've always been able to see ghosts. It's been something you could do for as long as you could remember.
Your mother, having had the same ability, taught you how to ignore them and act like you can't notice them at all. It usually works, but everyone has their limits. Yours was when some ghosts insisted on changing the show on your TV every time they didn't like what you were watching.
You had burst out, yelling and complaining and making the fatal mistake of letting them know you were aware of their existence. How much you regret that day cannot be put to words.
Ever since then, you've always had two or three ghosts hovering around. Asking you to play a song they miss. Or google something. Or call their grandkids for them.
They eventually leave once they realize they won't be able to get anything out of you, but a ghost who left will let others know about a girl who can see them, and the cycle just keeps on repeating itself.
‘Look! It's true, that boy is looking at you!’ A persistent ghost blocks your view of the beverage shelves, wildly pointing and gesturing to your left. You tsk, but turn to look anyway.
He has dark hair and dark eyes, wearing a hoodie that looks incredibly comfortable. He's quite handsome, and the ghosts were right. He's looking at you.
When he realizes you're looking back at him, he averts his gaze. He covers his mouth with one hand and turns away, but you see the tips of his ears burn red.
Your heart feels like it skipped a beat. Flustered, you pretend to be curious about the drinks on display.
But it's too late. You can't focus.
The ghosts around you are eating it up, cheering and encouraging you to talk to him. Some even hover over to the boy to persuade him to approach you. This could not get any more embarrassing.
You risk another look at him. He's not looking at you anymore, but his expression surprises you yet again.
He's looking at where a ghost is floating beside him. Your heart stutters again when he squints at what should be nothing for him.
But it's not nothing. Can he see them too?
You've never met anyone else who could. Not outside your family, anyway. Maybe you should talk to him.
You take a step closer, and the ghosts disappear.
Alarmed, you turn this way and that, trying to make sense if they're pulling some orchestrated prank on you.
But they're all gone. Or at least, you can't hear them anymore. Especially not when the cute stranger is looking at you again.
“...Hi.” You greet him, still at a loss for words.
The boy nods, clearing his throat before he speaks, “Hey.”
You notice that the ghost he was staring at is gone too. Just what is going on here?
“Sorry if that was weird of me.” You try to laugh off your nerves. “I thought I heard something.”
He blinks. “Yeah, I think I know what you mean. Must've been the wind.”
Ah, maybe he didn't see your ghosts after all. You're not sure if you're relieved or disappointed. “Yeah. Wind.”
With a hand rubbing the back of his neck, he introduces himself, “I’m Megumi.”
He repeats your name softly after you give it, and you hope he can't see how flustered you got. As you look down at your basket full of snacks, Megumi holds out a hand and offers to carry it for you.
Shyly, you walk together to the cashier. You let yourself smile and take in the peaceful silence, now that the ghosts aren't around. Something sweet is in the air, something sweeter than the smell of candy and soda.
You linger by the entrance once you've both paid. Megumi opens his mouth to speak, but stops when someone suddenly barges in.
The pink-haired boy urges him to hurry up. “Hey! Let's go! Everyone’s already there for movie night.”
Megumi is pulled along, though he stutters as he looks back at you. “W-Well...” He gives a small wave. “I hope I'll see you around.”
And the moment he steps out of the store, it's chaos again.
The ghosts reappear once more, chatting your ear off about how you didn't get his number. And for once in your life, you agree with them.
It should be impossible, but Megumi somehow cancels out your ability. You think you’re falling. You could kiss him. Maybe you should have gotten on one knee and proposed right there and then.
Before you can properly think about it, you’re running after them and pulling at Megumi’s sleeve. The spirits fade once you’re close to him again.
The last thing you heard from the ghosts was them cheering you on. It makes you smile as you ask, “Could I have your number?”
“For the last time,” You warn the wispy figures floating about your bedroom, “If you spied on Megumi prior to our date, I do not want to hear about it.”
Tumblr media
‘But sweetheart,’ An elderly lady ghost pats your shoulder, unfazed that her fingers only pass through you. ‘You should have seen him, he was so nervous! He—’
“No, nope!” One hand holding your outfit, you use the other to point at the door. It’s more of a symbolic gesture, since they don't really need to use it to get out. “Please let me change alone. Thank you.”
The ghost of a young man hovers around you, scrutinizing your outfit choice. ‘If you really want to leave an impression, you should w—’
Thankfully, you're not the only one who finds him insufferable. The other spirits groan and drag him outside—sending you heart signs and thumbs ups as they leave.
Unfortunately, the restaurant Megumi wanted to take you to was closed. He was crestfallen, but you assured him that you were fine anywhere, as long as you were with him. You only realized how cheesy that sounded when he blushed and turned away.
You ended up buying food at the convenience store where you met, and walking a short distance to the park for an impromptu picnic.
Sprawled on the grass together, you take turns asking each other questions. You learn that his birthday is in December. He asks about your taste in music.
You could get used to this. To not hearing a dozen ghosts at your ear. Indeed, the sounds of the trees rustling, birds chirping, and Megumi laughing are a lot more preferable.
“My first impression of you?” Megumi hums, pouting in thought. “I don't know... It's a little embarrassing.”
“I won't judge you for it, I promise!” You insist, “Besides, I told you that I thought you were cute.”
He takes a deep breath, not meeting your eyes as he answers cautiously, “You know that broken light in the convenience store?”
You make a confused face and tilt your head. “...Yes?” Where is he going with this?
“I’ve always hated it. The uneven lighting makes my head hurt...” Megumi leans close to brush your hair away from your eyes. “But I swear, those poorly maintained fluorescent lights weren’t that awful when I first saw you… Because you were glowing, and you were so beautiful.”
Not expecting that kind of answer, you hide your face by leaning into his shoulder. Megumi lets out a breathy laugh, and you think you might hear his heartbeat. You immediately add it to the list of your favorite sounds. The trees. The birds. His laugh. His heartbeat.
When you get home later that evening, your ghosts rush to you, excited and giddy to hear about your date.
‘Did he not give you flowers?’ One ghost asks.
‘No one gives flowers on dates anymore.’
An older spirit gasps, ‘Oh dear. Back in my day—’
‘We don't want to hear about how your dates went a century ago.’
‘Yeah! We want to hear about our dearie and Megumi!’
‘How was it?! How was it?!’
Taking a deep breath, you practically melt into the couch.
“It was perfect.” You smile, and the ghosts swoon with you.
Funny how Megumi said the lights didn't seem so bad when you were there. You feel the same about all your ghosts; he makes it all so much better.
