Living up to our system name!! We’ve been to the ER three (3) times in the last week with no help or answers each time. At least today we got a doctor who listened and tried to get us admitted to hospital. But the hospital wouldn’t fucking admit us because “they didn’t feel it was necessary.” Even though I’m experiencing things like significant breathing issues, a spike in chronic fatigue, and now problems with my vision that are odd and upsetting. But wait there’s more! That I don’t want to get into because it’s almost 2:00am, I just got home, and I need to shower.

It has been four fucking years of this. Of going to doctors with health concerns that stop me from living my day-to-day life only for them to shrug and send me on my way. Because my case is odd and complicated and uncommon (possible rare idk). And they don’t want to deal with that. They want something easy to diagnose and treat that won’t take too much time and effort. So I’m just left on my own, struggling to get by and begging for any help from anyone. But even fucking trauma therapists have started being like “Your case is too complicated I can’t help you.”

I’m so thankful for my friends who have been supporting me through this. But also how the fuck am I supposed to live my life and keep attending college if all the professionals take one look at me and decide I’m not worth their time? When Disability Services is a fucking joke that sits on their hands? When I don’t even have a wheelchair that doesn’t actively do harm to me? I’m trying my best to just suck it up and figure out how to cope. But there’s only so much I can do and it feels like I’m far past my limit. But there’s also nothing else for me to do but keep punching a brick wall hoping somebody will decide to be gracious enough to lend me a key through the steel door. Instead of walking by and being like “look at how successful you’ve been so far! Figure it out so you don’t throw it away! Don’t use your disability as an excuse!”

I dunno man, I’m just tired. Not quite relapsing into the “I don’t want to live anymore” tired. Just “it’s been 19 years of me having to try and survive trauma after trauma on my own with rapidly declining health, while being expected to be The Best at everything anyways. Can I please catch a break?”

Cannot fucking believe I worked all day long to reblog as fast as i possibly could, way faster and more careless than I usually am, like I spent more than 6 hours doing this, and still never hit post limit. I don’t think it’s even possible for me.

Actually wait I did some math. If post limit is 250 and I spent 6 hours on this website I would have had to reblog faster than one post every 1.5 minutes which okay I’ll be honest there’s no way I managed that. So much of my dash is really text heavy or even if it’s technically a jpeg it’s got a buttload of text in funny fonts on it which takes even longer to decode or just like straight up videos that are longer than 90 seconds! 90 seconds per post is so fast! To read or watch a post, decide if it’s worth reblogging, add the requisite tag(s) and wait for the app to load shit.

Y’all who hit post limit regularly…is it mostly just still photos? One liner shitposts? How on earth do y’all do it. Coz at this point I’m realizing I’d have to spent probably 10-12 hours on tumblr realistically to get 250 posts reblogged. ─ Killer scolds you from time to time because you bring a lot of unnecessary things, but he will let you have your little space for some things.

─ Kid sees you as a tracking dog, you once bit his ankles because despite not denying that you were an excellent tracker, you had more honor than being called simply 'dog'.

^ You work very well Nami, the two of you often plan a lot of jobs together but it can some times go wrong with your sticky fingers. Unfortunately you can't help it either you don't notice yourself doing it or that awful overwhelming need to steal something gets too much to the point where you have to take something.

^ Chopper has been a great help though giving you techniques to try and calm yourself down or medication that helps control the urges but there are days when you just take things regardless of the consequences.

^ You have taken things form your crew mates but once you realize you've done it you bring it back to them or place it where you got it from. You've given Franky and Usopp many headaches and almost given Luffy and Brook a heart attack form taking stuff but over time the crew have gotten used to it and if their missing something they always come to your first.

^ It really annoys you when one of the crew accuses you of taking something when you haven't, you don't lie to your crew about it so when they keep pushing it can turn ugly, this is when your boys step in and try and drag you away form the situation to cool off.

^ You take Sanji's lighter a lot, its shiny and gold something you can't resist, it doesn't matter how many times you take it the cook never notices until you either hand it back or he needs another smoke. Sanji has never scolded you for taking his lighter since he knows you can't help it and you always keep it safe, it never comes back damaged or scratched.

^ Sanji likes to call you his magpie since you love anything pretty and shiny, it's a nickname you really love and often blush at. Sanji has also un-continuously handed you back his lighter after asking if you've taken it from him. He'll use it to light up his cigarette then place it back in your hands while kissing your head then walking away, it always dumbfounds you when this happens and you often run after him to give it back.

^ You take Zoro's bandanna or one of his earnings, he's much batter at catching you taking his bandanna out of his back pocket than you take an earring from his ear. It always surprises him when he's told one of his earrings is missing since he never felt you take it or sore you with it. When he catches you he'll grab your wrist and give you a cocky smile before forcing you to be one of his weights for that day, he knows if your stealing form him than your gonna do it to the crew too so might as well keep you distracted.

^ As much as Zoro wants his stuff back he'll wait for you to bring it back mainly because he loves the pout on your face when you walk over and hold it out to him. The swordsman always chuckles before pulling you into him and making you put it back where you found it while admiring your cute pout.

^ Zoro is 100% ok with asking you to steal something for him, it's mostly when he doesn't have enough money and doesn't want to borrow money form Nami with her excessive interest rates. Sanji on the other hand never asks you to steal stuff for him, and he hates it when ever Zoro asks you to take something, even if he finds out weeks after the swordsman asks he's in big trouble.

^ The two know how hard you struggle not to steal from the crew, they see it on your face and in your body language. They both try to distract you in different ways, Zoro makes you train with him while Sanji either offers you a massage or asks you for help in the kitchen. They can also tell when have stolen something from the crew, you'll go from tense to suddenly relaxed to tense again, so they'll ask you about it and help you gain the courage to put it back.

^ When you get gifts for them they don't ask you whether its stolen or not, they both don't care unless you get something thats very pretty and shiny like a ring. Sanji's only question is if you took it forms a girl, you don't do that anymore since the first time you did Sanji panicked and told you to take it back. You hated seeing the look on his face so made sure if you did steal form a girl it never went to the boys, Zoro didn't care who or where its from, but he would be berated by Sanji if the present you gave the swordsman was taken from a girl.

Whumptober Day 22: Pick Your Poison

Summary: Stimpack usage out in the field was useful for keeping troopers going no matter how tired, hungry or stressed they might be. The problem was that sometimes campaigns lasted months on end...

[Withdrawal is a bitch and I doubt the stims used in the battlefield aren't addictive. This is also not the first time I've written a chatlog type fic but I'll doubt it'll be my last... I have elected to borrow a few medics for this so shoutout to @lost-on-kamino @ermakeys @purgetrooperfox @kkrazy256 and @gaeasun . I assigned your ocs some silly chat-handles for my own entertainment.]

The private medic comm channel was full on chaotic that day. Not that it wasn't generally chaos most other days, but this time it was for more than just info dumping or even venting one's frustrations over medical limitations or mishaps.

The 104th were back from a two month long campaign, and the on duty medics were besides themselves with worry.

All of the vode had come back severely addicted to the stimpacks.

Stimpack usage out in the field was useful for keeping troopers going no matter how tired, hungry or stressed they might be. The problem was that sometimes campaigns lasted months on end, which meant troopers who were regularly using stims to keep functioning, tended to become dependent on them even outside of battle.

Going through heavy drug withdrawal was not an easy process.

The symptoms made the vode volatile and somewhat unpredictable, and having an entire battalion going through it at the same time was beyond hellish.

The bouts of insomnia and irritability, mood swings, instances of depression and anxiety, full body aches and pains, constant cravings, fatigue and hallucinations, and the nausea spells came in waves. There was no resting for the medics.

But at least they had the medic comm channel to rely on.
