Hey, all!

I've hurt my knee so bad that I can hardly walk. Turning is bad. Stairs are the worst. And this sucks butt because I work on a truck that I have to lift myself pretty high to get onto (like, knee to chest kinda step up).

CVS has quoted me at $140 just to look at it. This is the cheapest I could find. I do not have insurance, nor the money for it or their CVS visit. And that's the preliminary visit. If it isn't the kind of thing they can give me a steroid shot for and send me on my way, I might be fucked.

So. My shop is 15% off through the rest of this month. Code Ouchie666 will get you that price off. I'd really appreciate if some of y'all could help a bitch out. I have no idea what this will end up costing in total, but I'm hoping it won't eat up what little money I have 😅

Help us pay for Freya's medical expenses

We are raising money for the vet and hospital expenses for our dearly beloved cat Freya.

Freya is our beloved child and an invaluable member of our family. We have been dealing with the arduous process of trying to diagnose and treat her current illness. For several weeks now she has been eating less and less, and she is losing more and more weight and continues to lose energy.

The vet has tried several treatments and diagnostic procedures, which so far have proven unsuccessful. Freya has undergone several checkups, blood-work, medications, an ultrasound, and a biopsy, none of which have given us any concrete answers about her condition.

We are now referred to a local animal hospital for a more thorough biopsy, which might be followed up by further treatment & surgery. However, due to the personnel shortage caused by COVID-19 this process has been dragging on and on for weeks.

It has been a terribly harrowing and heartbreaking ordeal, having the bills pile up while we watch our cat get weaker. We are both disabled and unemployed, and physically and emotionally drained by this terrible process.

Any help at all would be deeply appreciated, and would help lighten some of this load on our extremely fragile household in a very meaningful way.

Hi.

My name is Hannah and I am 27 years old.

I have lived with Complex PTSD and Anorexia since I was 6 years old.

Over the years I have also been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, Functional Neurological Disorder, Fibromyalgia, a large bowel that no longer works and Costochondritis. I have had 46 hospital admissions both medical and mental health over the past 8 years to date (date of posting is April 2024)

I require weekly psychology, dietitian,, GP and physiotherapy appts as well as weekly medication costs, and other specialist appointments frequently.

I have been on the disability pension since 2019 but that doesn’t even begin to cover half of what I require and I have thousands of bills outstanding and money required to access the supports that I need to not be in hospital every few weeks.

I so appreciate the current cost of living but would be so grateful any donation large and small so that I can begin to truly live. Believe me when I say I have exhausted every option possible to try and get on track and moving forward.

New post, same fundraiser! I’ve broken my ankle twice in three months, needed surgery both times, and have been laid off. Because my job is a government contract they had to give 60 days’ notice. My last day, according to the layoff, will be September 20. I will theoretically be healed enough to work for about a week.

It sounds dire - and it is - but with your help over 3/4 of the goal has been reached! As of this moment, it is at $9790/12000. That’s incredible! It’s all because of your generosity, and your helping to spread the word via all sorts of platforms.

For people who think in linear time, the timeline:

April 29 - ankle break #1

May 6 - surgery #1

May 19 - cast #1 off, insert walking boot

June 19 - returned to work, half time

July 1 - “yeah, you don’t need the boot anymore”

July 15 - fell, ankle break #2

July 20 - notice of “downsizing” (laid off)

July 23 - surgery #2

August 9 (today) - cast #2 off, return of the walking boot

September 4 - doc says to start putting weight on it

If the trend from last time continues, that means returning to work on September 9. That’s not going to be enough time with pay to catch up. (Though hopefully by then one of the places I’ve applied to will have offered me a job I can do with my leg elevated!)
