#beware. rant in the following tags #me joining a bunch of donor conception groups like ‘can’t wait to chat to people like me! it’ll be fun! maybe i’ll even find a half sibling’ #what i actually got:: a bunch of bitter adults angry that their parents didn’t tell them they were donor conceived and taking it out #on the rest of us by going on about how ‘donor conception isn’t natural’ #like!!! do you not hear yourselves!!! #i’m sorry your parents suck but the answer is not ‘nuclear families are the only viable option’!!! #and they’re constantly trying to speak over those of us who were told at birth. ugh #like the number of times i’ve been told in that group ‘EVERYONE has issues with donor conception youre just deluded’ #or something along those lines #it’s like 2014 tumblr all over again #i am this 👌🏻 close to just leaving the group #but i want to be there to reassure any parents who are being told by the group that they’re evil for choosing donor conception #sorry for the rant but i am just!!! very angry #i joined expecting like minded peers and instead got the same bs i’ve been fighting against my entire life spat back in my face #BY the very people who should by all means understand #it’s soo us american centric too #sorry your country has shitty laws about donor conception!! that doesn’t mean every country does #or that donor conception is Evil and Unnatural and Wrong #vent #athena talks
