#yes he IS upset about e/nid #losing her was devastating - especially on the day she asks him to be her boyfriend - of course hes angry #but he also lost his mother + has to see his father broken down once again #they took in a son who was endangered by being with the w/hisperers #he literally already went through this 'avenging my brother made me do things im not proud of and i regret it and i dont choose violence' #what would be the point to go through it Again #when earl tells him not to get soft + not to forget what they took from them a/lden says of course he remembers but hes also smart / logical #' getting revenge ' isnt smart #they fight back bc they have to bc they're at war but he's not going out of his way to kill them just for revenge #literally all of s10 has been about him fighting to protect this child + their legacy #he is fighting to protect what they have (the safety and the community and the home) which is exactly how he got away from the saviors - #by insisting on building up this place and making a future out of it #one that is now necessary for his son to have #if alden is fighting for anything - its the future. not the past. #he hates them for what they did to her yes but it is SOOOO much bigger than that #me command-F ' alden' on every reviewer just to see the same ' hes mad ab his gf :(' line everytime #when All of this has been about protecting their community + their future + their child #ok. anyway #ooc.
