I’ve been living with an empty space in my heart after finishing The Untamed and Word of Honor, coming here to read some good fics and finding none for WoH and only a few for MDZS (which I already have read all)
Like there are a lot of beautiful and fic-able(? characters in both shows ????

Untamed Reactions (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Requested by @lelewright1234
Pairing: Untamed characters x female!African-American!reader
Warnings: like maybe one or two curse words
Word Count: 2912 words
A/N here is part two, hope its good
Lan Xichen:
Tumblr media
You meet on the battle field
fierce corpses surrounded you as you tried to fend them off
this went on until Wuxian "died"
the second the battle was over, you fell to the ground
every bone in your body was hurting
most people disregarded you as they checked the field for people they knew
you didn't have to look around like others, you already knew
you had lost everyone
your parents, your siblings, your whole clan
but you couldn't cry for some reason
then Xichen approaches you, noticing you sitting all alone
every person alive had left the field, so you weren't hard to spot
he didn't say anything, he just sat next to you
and somehow that broke you
you just burst into tears
he's quick to hug you while trying to calm you down
he just hugs you for at least 30 minutes while patting your back softly
when you finished crying, he helped you off the field and towards the medics
you stayed at Cloud Recesses for awhile after all that
you often wandered around aimlessly, receiving looks of pity from others
but Xichen didn't pity you per se
he talked to you and let you rant to him
that's how your relationship blooms
you talk about your past, your clan and its traditions
he didn't know any of it before, your clan was very closed off usually
so hearing all the information was interesting to him
he helps you relive some of those traditions if he can
which makes you fall in love with him just a bit more
and a month later, you both have feelings for each other by then
neither of you admit it
it takes 3 more years before you confess
on accident
with the lovely help of 5 years old's Jingyi and Sizhui
but it leads to a now romantic relationship
and another 2 years you marry
it's only official, no ceremony
only Guangyao and Lan Wangji were there
just to have witnesses
you don't have children for a long time
too many things happens at once
Wangji suddenly turning up with Mo Xuanyu
then everything else
but then you do get pregnant
and then the temple thing happens
luckily, the baby was fine
your child looks like Xichen the most
she had his face and such, only your hair and a slight tan skin
she's sooo spoiled
Xichen spoils her too much
and if Xichen doesn't spoil her once
Sizhui and Jingyi will
because they're basically your kids as well....
she's their princess
she knows this and she'll use it
you have one more child after that
another girl
she looks like you, completely
she, too, gets spoiled
both kids love when you and Xichen braid their hair
because it means that you spend time together
after all, Xichen is very busy at times
so that time they get with their father is precious times
otherwise they're found with your two unofficial children (Sizhui and Jingyi)
because they get to learn about weapons
they love learning swordfighting
beside that they also learned different stuff
your eldest learned twin swords
your youngest chose the long spear
Xichen watches them like a hawk when they practice
afraid like they'd kill each other while sparring
he's the worry kind of father
you just trust the kids to be safe
they're kids, they'll learn
and if they take enough after their father, they'll be fine
Jin Guangyao:
Tumblr media
This man...
swears to not fall in love
and then you walk into the room
you're there to bring a message
nothing more nothing less
yet when you enter the room, you just glow
he gets caught staring by Huaisang
who just nudges him softly
he snaps out of his trance, giving you one last glance before focusing back on his task
you stay there for a week, discussing with the sect leader
he quickly figures out who you are
the future sect leader of your clan
and any hope of speaking to you get thrown out of the window
after all, he's still considered a bastard now
but you are kind to everyone, even him
and he knows that you know what he is
yet you genuinely give him a smile when you pass him and you always smile when you talk to each other
he sees you again a few years later
after he moves to the Lanling Jin Clan
you were invited by his father
he doesn't think you'd remember him
you do
you approach him with a bright smile
asking if he was around when you visited the Nie clan
you are super happy when he replies with a yes
he has no clue why
you're honestly just happy meeting someone you somewhat know
and trust
you don't trust the Jin's
even when he's technically one, he's more a Nie in your eyes
he stayed there for a long time after all
so you hang around him mostly during your stay
he doesn't mind too much
he asks about your culture under the pretense of politics
he will hurt anyone who hurts or disrespects you
without you knowing
but you connect the dots after awhile
he knows that you know
surprised when you don't confront him about it
but somehow that makes him like you more
he even forgets about everything he planned when he's with you
but nothing can stray him from his plans
until he's told to marry Qin Su
because apparently she likes him
he doesn't marry her
especially not after finding out the truth (they're half-siblings)
instead he asks if he can marry you
with your permission first though
he's psycho, not a douche
you agree
your parents don't really agree at first
they do later when they see how much you like him
of course it's a big wedding
apparently Qin Su was there as well
neither of you saw her
he was too focused on you
that moment made him feel normal
he couldn't not care about his plans at that point
you looked too beautiful to him at that point, no matter what other whispered
you looked like a goddess in your wedding dress
your hair done to match the headpiece with beautiful braids
when you have your first child, he wants to give up his plans completely
a son who looks like you
especially the hair and face
a year later, his daughter is born
a beautiful girl with his eyes and face, but a slightly tanner skin like you
and right there, Guangyao gives up his whole life purpose
his family is worth too much to risk
(don't know how the story goes on without his participation)
most protective one parent of the bunch, I think
will still kill if you threaten anyone in his family
and you know this
but he's also so caring
will spend so much time with the kids
even if it means neglecting his duties
don't talk to him about that
he will cuss you out
family is more important to him
will do anything for the kids
his daughter wants to braid his hair
because he's the only one without braids in the family
he has bald spots now
does not care
you just laugh every time someone mentions it
because he glares at them like an angry cat
or when other people laugh at the few braids in his hair
they don't look that good (she's 4, so logical)
because their from his daughter
and it is the most precious thing he has
so they can just fuck off
Xue Yang:
Tumblr media
you meet when you're children (after the finger incident)
both of you live on the street
you cling to him instantly
he gave you a piece of bread, who wouldn't love that
he is annoyed, but says nothing about it
he thinks you look weird at first
he isn't used to see someone of different race
but he says nothing, of course
you gain him more food for some reason
that's enough for him
but of course, he starts stealing after awhile
you don't agree with it but say nothing
you need to eat after all
as you grow older, you get a bit closer
both of you change a lot
you are the smarts, he's the action at this point
it's a good dynamic
you usually go around as a couple
because saying your friends wasn't received well
so pretending to be a couple is the way to go
and sharing rooms when you stay somewhere isn't that weird since you've been doing that since young age
but even when you were used to it, it felt a bit weird at age 16
you blame it on hormones
but everything just makes you blush
like when he buys a necklace you were eyeing
not steal, but buy
or when he gives you candy from his stash
you should be normal, he always did it before
but it still feels different now
and he stopped thinking you're weird
over the years he learned a lot about you
maybe a bit too much...
it takes both of you awhile to figure it out that you like each other
about 3 months
then you confess on accident
and he's just accepting it
because he feels the same
why else would he do the things he does
friends don't get candy or necklaces from him
you never really marry
he makes you a ring though
one of wood that he had been carving for awhile now
it's very pretty
you don't have kids
he doesn't want to raise kids when he doesn't even have a house
but he does want them in the future
you move and he looks for a place to earn money
you do the same
you work at a small shop
his job is unknown to you
but it brings money in because he comes back and is able to afford a place
you don't know how he paid for anything, but it's a fun place
out of town, but it's a place of your own
you have a child after two years of living in the house
twins
two girls
look identical to you except for their eyes
they have his eyes
(and his glare)
also his personality
little troublemakers
they love spending time with him
when he leaves for his job, they're sad
he makes it up when he comes back
sits with the kids for hours while he's braiding your hair for you
listens to their stories intently
your kids will reenact the whole story
he enjoys watching them
it makes him feel like he does the right thing
because for his family happiness, he will do anything
Xiao Xingchen:
Tumblr media
you are a lone cultivator
you travel here and there
just taking every job you can get
people don't really trust you because you look different
but you get the job eventually
but to your "luck", they send others as well
so you're not alone
2 men stand in front of the house you're supposed to be at
one in white, the other in black
the one in white notices you first
you can't help but feel annoyed though
because he was send by the same person you were sent by
they offer to work together with you so you don't return with nothing
you agree
during the fighting, you get injured
some ghouls attacked you while you were distracted
Xingchen is the one who notices first once again
he pulls you from the ghouls and places you in a safe place
you're even more annoyed
because you barely get hurt
yet the one time you work with others, your arm almost gets ripped off
Xingchen is the one to make sure that you're okay after everything
also the one who heals your arm to the best of his abilities
he introduces himself quickly while he wraps your arm with a cloth
you only later realize that said cloth was a piece of his robe
you stay in town for the next to weeks to heal from the wound and the poison
they stay in town as well
Xingchen visits you once or twice every day
you just talk to each other
eventually, he asks if you want to join him
you decline the offer
but your next job comes around
and he's there again
this time without Song Lan though
Song Lan was apparently sick
you didn't ask more
the job ends quickly
you're not injured
he is...
he insists he's fine
he does seem fine later when he yells at the person who hired both of you
and all because of you, in a way
because you were suddenly not paid
because you weren't hurt, how could you have done your job?
you never had someone standing up for you before
your heart beats a bit faster now, everytime you think or see him
you decide to hang around him after the third or fourth coincidental meeting
he doesn't mind the company, he even likes it
it's a bit lonely with Song Lan being sick
and he likes being around you
you have good humor
unlike Son Lang
but of course, he also has a crush on you
which causes you both to be a bit awkward around each other
you work around it eventually
aka you get drunk after a job
and he has to take care of you
you don't remember anything the next day
you don't know how much you drank
nor did you know how you ended up next to Xingchen in the bed
but it does end up in confessions and dating after
you had luck on your side that day
when you finally marry him years later, you are so exited
you don't do an official wedding
and really, your only guest is Song Lan
perks of being a lone group of cultivators
although you loved roaming around, both of you agree to settle down somewhere nonetheless
just so you had a place to return to every time
which became even better when you were suddenly told you were pregnant
specifically a doctor who found you passed out in your hotel room
and apparently you had two kids in your stomach that were causing all the nausea and dizziness
and the rest of the job you're stressed out
because how can you tell your husband???
you tell Song Lan when you return home
because Xingchen isn't back yet
Song Lan straight up tells Xingchen, congratulating the man
Xingchen is a a bit confused, but he has the spirit
when your twins are born, you have one girl and one boy
the girl looks a bit more like him, her skin a bit paler than her brother's
both have full heads of your hair
you've never seen a man so in love
you're kinda envious
but seeing him smiling at his daughter in his arms while you held your boy, made you feel some kind of way
it's the sweetest thing ever
and it makes you fall in love with him once again
he returns that feeling when he sees you with your son
they grow up quickly, something Xingchen doesn't like
it goes too fast for his liking
his son doesn't accept affection anymore and his daughter suddenly likes you more
but she lets him braid her hair
while talking loudly about something she did that day
his kids have him wrapped around their fingers
and your daughter uses this
even when knowing this, Xingchen still complies with her every request
he's a protective father
he knows what's out there and does not want them to see any of it
but deep down he knows he can't stop it
but he'll prevent it for as long as he can
Song Lan:
Tumblr media
(this one was the most difficult, sorry if it isn't that good)
you met quite cliché like
he saved your life
of course, you're forever grateful
so you ask for any way to return the favor
he doesn't say anything
which is a bit annoying
so you just make him a lucky charm
it doesn't too good, but it's something
and you're honestly really proud of it
but when you go back to give it to him, he's gone
so you keep it, secretly hoping you'd see him again someday
you do a few days later
and you just shove it in his hands and run off
you're busy
but he definitely remembers you from before
which is the only reason he keeps the charm
meeting the third time, you were walking around the market
he noticed you from afar
he noticed your hair was tied up into a large braid and your clothes were a bit neater than before
he couldn't move his eyes away from you
which ended up in him tripping and almost face planting
this didn't go unnoticed by his friend
Xingchen was quick to see what he had been staring at and could only smile
it was rare for Song Lan to take interest in others
hence why Xingchen decided that you two should talk
he pulled Song Lan along until the two of them stood in front of you
you, of course, recognize them and smile brightly as you ask how they are
Song Lan doesn't talk at first
until Xingchen suddenly walks off
leaving him stranded with you
and he was horrible with directions
so he has to ask you again
you don't mind showing him the way
so you talk on the way back, not telling him that you took a slight detour
you wanted more time with him, no other reason
you two have similar interests
which is why he asks to be friends
you agree
you don't see him for a few weeks
but when he returns, he comes to find you
this routine continues for awhile
you'd see him once every month or so and he'd spent that time with you
somewhere along the way, feelings grow from both sides
and you get together
neither of you really talked about it
it just felt natural, so it happened
this goes on for 3 years
then you somewhat ask for marriage yourself
he wants too and he's thought about it since year one
but he's afraid with his job and all
so he never went there
until you ask
and he feels a bit bad after that
so he proposes
with a ring he had already bought before
he found it pretty and wanted to keep it just in case
guess it came in handy now
small wedding
only your family and Xingchen
your family honestly doesn't like him much
but they're glad that you're happy
and he'll do anything to make them like him
your first and only child is a boy
he looks like Song Lan the most, only a darker tinted skin like you
Song Lan adores his kid so much
although your son somewhat looks emotionless to others, you can see all the emotions in his eyes
he's much like his father in that way
luckily, he got his social cues from you
and he probably has more friends than his father
then again, that's not that difficult
after all, he had two and married one of them
so you are a bit glad that your son's personality is more like you
but your son loves you both a lot
he looks up to Song Lan a lot
because he has a sword, so he's cool
yeah, the standards are pretty low
you weren't cool, cause you had a musical weapon
he quickly learns that this isn't true
Song Lan still teases you when his son chooses him over you for cuddles or such
he also likes the attention it gets him
he shows affection to your son, but in his own way
aka actions over words
he's a dad who brings back stuff from travels to show love
very loving dad

If it Means to Remain by Your Side
From the list I posted yesterday, I'm gonna start with the Dan Heng x Reader MDZS inpsired fic first.
Characters and plot won’t be as accurate to the inspired plot. Especially for this story which involves a lot of adults and teens an not much children.  So many characters are left out simply due to the fact that a lot of npcs either didn’t fit the role, or were far too young for my standards.
I also ended up having to lean more onto the live action version than the novel/manhua version. Not all characters casted are exactly accurate too, as there are more traumatized than non-traumatized.
Cast
Dan Heng  - Lan zhan/Lan Wangji
Reader - Wei Ying/Wei Wuxian
Jing Yuan - Lan Xichen
Blade/Yingxing - Song Lan
March - Lan Jingyi
Yukong - Jian Yanli
Tingyun - Jin Guangyao
Jingliu - Xue Yang
Baiheng - Xiao Xingchen
Yanqing - Jin Ling
Ruan Mei _ Baoshan Sanren
Luocha - Jin Zixuan (Ik Yukong and him aren’t a ship, but it'll have to do as Honkai doesn’t really have a F and M implied relations. I mean the only ones that do are in a love triangle.)
Xueyi - Wen Ning
Hanya - Wen Qing
Qingque - Nie Huaisang
Diting - Fairy
Fu Xuan - Jiang Cheng
Guinaifen - Lan Sizhui/Lan Yuan (Again, not a ship as Yanqing is too fight frenzy of a kid to actually have a crush. I just think these two would pair well as friends)
Sushang - A-Qing
Setting/Sects
Luofu -- Gusu Lan
Dan Heng
Jing Yuan
March
Guinaifen (later half)
Yaoqing -- Qinghe Nie
Qingque
Zhuming -- Qishan Wen

Tingyun
Fanghu -- Yunmeng Jiang
Reader
Fuxuan

Misc.
Blade/Yingxing
Jingliu
Baiheng
Sushang
Huohuo
Ruan Mei
Xuling -- Burial Mounds
Reader (Mid-way)
Hanya (Mid-way)
Xueyi (Mid-way)
Guinafen (Mid-way)
I literally looked up all the different alliance of Xianzhou just to see which would be Wen sect. So here’s the reasoning.
Luofu: They don’t really have a specialty. Their main goal is to take out abundance cult.
Yaoqing: Much like Luofu, don’t really have a specialty. Aggressive and good at martial arts.
Zhuming: Their main export specialty is porcelain. According to Fandom wiki, the people here love playing with fire.
Yuque: They export jade abaci, thus making me think they’ll be wealthy due to it and technologically advanced/smart.
Fanghu: Exports a lot of marine things. Though it would make since to have Dan Heng come from here, but it would not make sense for other characters like March and Jing Yuan to have been born here. And it’s the closest in description to Yunmeng.
Xuling: Not much is really stated about this place on Fandom Wiki, but it looks like a place of law. But piggybacking off of the fact that not much is written about this area, Imma just gonna liken this area to Burial Mounds.
Idk why I stressed so much trying to make it 100% accurate 💀
My main source for these infos are from MDZS and Star Rail fandom wiki, so if inaccuracies occur, I apologize in advance for it.

Poly! Wangxian x Reader (Mordern AU): Let them Talk
Tumblr media
Summary: Lan Wangji is a bit emotionally constipated, we all know that. He smiles at nobody but his boyfriend and girlfriend. But, people talk.
A/n: I want this to be soft. UwU
----------------------------------------------------
"I heard he's very cold"
"Have you ever seen him smile?"
"God knows how he's in a relationship? He doesn't even talk"
"I dont understand though why they are with Y/n she's not that special as Wangji and Wuxian"
They gossiped as the three of you passed. You saw Wanyin walking up to you three with Ning.
"Hey boys" you said as you high-fived Ning
"Don't mind them" you heard Wuxian tells Wangji as you smiled.
The truth is yes, Lan Zhan Wangji is very cold indeed, but he has different sides of himself and he filters how much he shows to whom. There's the Wangji that his friends see and there's the Wangji that only Wuxian and Y/n have seen.
He feels free around them, he doesn't feel the need to put up a front and hence he's much more geniune in expressions with them.
----------------------------------------------------
"Yah, Wangji, Eat this" you offered him a cookie as he was reading, he simply opened his mouth and you put it inside. "Me! Me!" Wuxian cheered as you fed him too.
The three of you had a rule of spending the weekends with each other. Saturday you would go out and sunday you would do nothing.
Lying on Wuxian's lap while he played with your hair as the two of you enjoyed Wangji playing the Zither
Or sometime when Wangji would be on the guitar and Wuxian on flute or organ, as you sang your favourite songs, sometimes recording them to show your friends.
Sleeping with Wangji holding Wuxian who in-return would be holding you as neither you nor Wangji can sleep in the middle.
You, taking tips from Yanli to make certain dishes. Wuxian throws compliments at each bite and Wangji eats it with a sweet smile on his face, with a soft "It's really good babe".
Imagine this, Wuxian is out with your friends, you stayed back as you had an assignment and Wangji stayed so that you're not left alone (Xian didn't want to go too, you simply coaxed him to go enjoy). So you're working in your own anad Wangji is reading a book. He'll just randomly come sit by you and make a (ㅇㅅㅇ) face and you and Xian know what it means. So you put down the pen and turn and engulf the baby bear in a hug as he sighs in relief and leans into you. Yes Wangji needs hugs from time to time too.
So whoever says Wangji is cold can fuck themselves. Let them talk.

about loch-are there really no good available translations? it's a shame. 2017 is really good, are any of the other adaptations worth looking at? does 1983 have subtitles?
Hi Nonny! Oh boy, this is going to be long, so answers to this under the cut.
Regarding LOCH, which I love dearly but find myself frustrated with consistently regarding translation style and quality, there is an official English translation, which I cannot in good faith recommend given that uh, there are whole sentences and passages that Jin Yong never wrote in there. There are character names translated literally and others left in their original format. There's just, mmmm stuff I could never in good faith recommend to people as someone who dearly loves this book. The translator took it upon themselves to also make major writing related edits which as someone who has a long history in fan translation myself, I could never in good conscience recommend. It's kind of like how we have routine "why didn't the mdzs translators do x?" about some things people mention as differences between the Chinese edition and the English edition, except, the edits were absolutely on purpose and uh, not an improvement! Imagine a translation of MDZS where Lan Wangji's name gets translated as "Blue." His name is just Blue now. Wei Ying calls him Blue. Lots of other beloved characters will now get weird English translated names that flatten their nuances. Lan the Teacher. Separation Jiang. Jade Meng. Mulberry Nie. That's. The severity of the problems with the official English translation, and it kind of breaks my heart that it's like that. Why would you read that and why would I suggest that you read that? The sheer condescension towards both the original text and the abilities of the English language readers just drips from these name changes alone.
The fan translated version of LOCH that I know of is here. It's quite rough in some parts grammar wise, and due to the sheer number of translators that worked on this, not always entirely consistent in formating/spelling/etc, but I have spent a lot of time on the spcnet forums, and wholeheartedly appreciate the efforts of the translators there. I think the issues with translating Jin Yong is a matter of both scope and depth. Jin Yong's books are extremely long. Most of his major novels are close to if not over a million Chinese characters each, and DGSD famously features over 200+ named characters. The spcnet translation of DGSD, for example, took 12 years and countless translators to complete and burned out so many of us. It is a major work to translate a Jin Yong book on length and time input alone.
Further complicating matters, Jin Yong wrote wuxia with the insistence that it could be literature instead of merely genre pulp fiction, and his books are deeply rooted in references to Chinese history and literature. I distinctly remember at least four poems and one song as well as an extended discussion of the Jingkang Incident, (also if you've seen the Temple of the Iron Spear sequence in 2017, you can start to understand the scope of the "Jin Yong writes in a way that is rooted in his book being in Chinese for the wordplay alone and it sounds SO WONKY outside of that Chinese context") among lots of other things I probably didn't catch in LOCH alone, which also makes the task of translating his books harder, especially when you have to not only get the plot across, but somehow make accessible all of his wordplay and references as well as the poetry he interjects at various points to heighten certain scenes and their emotionality.
So yeah, it's a task. I'd recommend checking out the fan translation I've linked above if you want to read it though instead of paying money for a book where the Love Interest gets translated to Lotus Huang because the translator....could? Like bonkers English naming conventions aside, I'm not a great recommender of Blue Lan and I'm not a recommender of Huang Rong being turned into Lotus Huang either.
REGARDING THE ADAPTATIONS:
1983 is my beloved childhood adaptation but please remember it is also. It is. It was made by TVB in the 1980s. The accessibility of this to people who do not speak Chinese is rather...low, given the lack of desire from subtitlers to subtitle things made by TVB in the 1980s. (It's also more readily available in Canto though there WAS a Mandarin Dub, that I watched because I don't speak Cantonese.) I think the first third of the series is available on Youtube with the English autotranslate feature? I can dig up this link for you if you would like to see it because 83 is dear to my heart, but I would not make anyone who isn't a LOCH fanatic sit through this merely for my sake, yknow.
1994 I am unfortunately not really that impressed with 1994, and 94 is kind of like the ignored middle child of LOCH adaptations so there is also no english subtitling anywhere and it's also more widely available in Cantonese. This was a 90s TVB production. I am not sure you want to watch this one.
2003 is one of my favorite adaptations! when it's going well. When it's not going well [lolsob] truly the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, the hands down best in some areas and the "I fear you did not realize this CGI would not be cool" in others. Find the first 41 episodes here and the last episode here. This is LOCH for LOCH/Jin Yong nerds, the pacing is incredibly tight for the first 3/4ths and the expansions were made with the book in hand and the themes in mind. I would say though that 8 episodes of Mongolia is likely not where one wants to begin when watching LOCH 😔.
2008 .....I am a professional 08 LOCH hater. 😔It decided a sex pest needed nuance when the original rightfully gives him NOTHING. NO INTERIORITY. THE MALE EQUIVALENT OF A SEXY LAMP. I cannot explain to you how much I hate the Ouyang Ke - Mu Nianci - Yang Kang love triangle in 08 because my homeboy (evil trash son) Yang Kang does NOT have enough good qualities for you to subtract some so a 30+ year old sex pest can share. The storyline edits were at times just "I see you did this for drama, but tell me why???" 😔 It does have Hu Ge in it though, though I would say that this was not Hu Ge's best work given that he was coming off of a really bad car crash.
2017 I think this one is the most accessible and most book faithful adaptation for LOCH and also the one that I'd most recommend people to see, since it both has good English Subtitles (and is on Youtube and IQiYi if you look for Legend of the Condor Heroes 2017). Also great fight scenes. 2017 loves its fight scenes. And is also a remake of 1983.
2023/2024/the Yao Ke LOCH - This one isn't out yet! The trailer looks absolutely BANGING though. This one is uhhh apparently a more deconstructed LOCH version where we get extra backstory details so I have no idea what we're getting into here but the production quality looks insane. Anyway who knows when the censorship board will have mercy on us and lolsob when this will appear or if it'll get lost in Tencent's giant cdrama vault to haunt me from now until the end of time. You'll hear me scream if it comes out.
https://m.weibo.cn/status/N5ZMnAMmw?refer_flag=1001030103_
Thanks for the ask Nonny! Uh! I'm not sure if all this was helpful but maybe it was? I love LOCH very much so if you have more questions and or thoughts come back to my inbox and tell me! (also who's your favorite character from 2017 so far?)

twenty questions for fic writers
A little writing meme I got from @/alightbuthappypen. I always like looking back on my writing and some of these questions sent me on a fun trip down memory lane.
How many works do you have on AO3?
26. I have a lot more saved or posted to LJ but when I created my ao3 account, I was trying to pick the "best of the best" to share.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
379,781. My tendency to write long fic has only grown over the years.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Oh boy, in roughly this order I’ve written for: X/1999, Weiss Kreuz, Assassin’s Creed (Ezio’s games), Overwatch, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus (sort of), Captain America, and Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Found: Extremely Friendly Fox (魔道祖师 - 墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù)
lost whenever you go (魔道祖师 - 墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù)
A bridge in the dark (陈情令 | The Untamed (TV) )
The Agreement (Assassin's Creed 2)
dying of thirst (魔道祖师 - 墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù)
Until my first MDZS event, The Agreement was managing to hang in at top 3, despite the writing being 10 years old. People like smut, I guess.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do try to but I’m often behind, especially when it comes to event fics where comments might come in faster than I can get to them. As a reader, I never expect a response so I hope people don’t feel bad when they don’t get one, but as a writer I really want to show my appreciation for someone taking the time to leave a comment. Also, sometimes readers leave their thoughts and I want to talk more about them!
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
The angstiest fic I can think of isn’t on ao3. It was part of a set of fics I wrote for an AC BigBang long ago that were based on a fanmix. Sad song = sad ending.
I don’t generally write angst but if I had to pick from what's on ao3, it’d be my Weiss Kreuz fic since that’s pretty fraught until the end.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Um, all of them. 😆 Almost everything I write has a happy ending and usually some pretty sappy moments. Found: Extremely Friendly Fox is probably the lightest, happiest thing I've written.
(Or maybe Soothing Waters because that is literally just an excuse to write a soft moment between Ezio and Leonardo.)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I don’t think I have. I’ve had someone leave a comment disagreeing with what I wrote in a scene but they weren’t overly rude about it.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. A lot. Half of my ao3 fics are explicit. 😂 ‘What kind’ is an interesting question. I guess I've written many kinds, from vanilla to BDSM and even a couple of darker fics that I don't have on ao3.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Yes, I really like taking characters from one universe and dropping them into another. I don't usually combine the casts from both 'verses (although the Tron fic is an exemption). It's more that I think the characters from one 'verse would be interesting to write in a different setting. The craziest one is a X-Men: First class/Prometheus crossover that is probably nothing like you'll picture.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I hope not, but I had had my fic added to Goodreads, which I don't love.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I've had someone ask but they were posting on Wordpress so I don’t follow up to see if they posted it.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes, but not posted anywhere. I co-wrote a Devil May Cry 3 fic with a friend, and then another friend wrote a fic set in one my fics universes, if that counts. We collaborated on characterization details.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
This is an impossible question. 😆 I am as in love with Schuldich/Yohji, a pairing I first wrote about 13 years ago, as I am with Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian, which I've most recently written for. And Ezio/Leonardo will forever be in my heart. I guess I love some more than others but I can't pick an all-time fav.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
From recent wips: I have a Jin Ling POV fic that’s the fourth in my vampire AU series that I really want to finish but every time I go back to it, I’m convinced it sucks and no one wants to read the POV of a kid (even if I think JL’s POV is the most interesting for this scenario). I’ll probably never finish it unless I can get over that block.
An even better answer because it's sat around longer: a X-Men: First Class/Mercy Thompson universe crossover. It's XMFC with werewolves, but werewolves as they are in the Mercy Thompson books. Charles is an omega but it's nothing like omegaverse. I'm still really proud of how I blended those universes but omegaverse is so wildly popular, and this is nothing like that, so I figured it had no audience. I was so close to finishing it too. 🥲
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm bad at seeing my own strengths so I'll have to go with the kind of comments I receive and those are usually that: the sex was hot, the emotional beats landed well, or that I had a wild/unusual idea and I made it work.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
This is easier to answer. I struggle with writing sex scenes, even if they're usually received well. And I struggle to write the "connective tissue" between the scenes I picture most clearly. Sometimes this is the whole middle of a fic and sometimes it's just small scenes that are needed to tie together two things I've already written.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I usually avoid writing complete sentences in languages I don’t know but I am guilty of sprinkling of lot of (probably unnecessary and incorrect) Italian into my AC fics.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
For unposted fic: self-insert Star Wars (original trilogy/novels universe). For something that was posted publicly (before the days of ao3): either X/1999 or Weiss Kreuz. I don't know which came first.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Another impossible question! I have favorites for different reasons. It’s No Good was my first longfic and a favorite because I love that pairing and there’s so little of it that’s not dark.
From my recent work, probably Searching for answers. It’s a niche kind of crossover but I’m really proud of it and want to believe the emotions came through as meaningfully as I tried to write them.
And you know what? Special shout-out to Feelin' Nauti because I re-read that while going through all my ao3 fics and I'm just really proud of the emotion I managed to capture in a 7k fic. (I need to figure out how to do that again.) Plus, I think it has a lot of good lines in it.

Hi there! So this is my first time requesting so is it ok to request for LXC, JC, SL and XXC where they save their s/o from a fierce corpse or monster in soulmate au?
hi!
sure thing, i will do my best to deliver!
here’s your request~
° 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ₒ 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 °
Lan Xichen
(telepathy soulmates)
your aid in night hunts was very particular and special
that being, to tend to injured cultivators
you were not to fight,
as your juniors told you
and as your soulmate, Sect Leader, Lan Xichen, had also reminded you
but now,
when the fight came to you,
(that being the vengeful demon that had struggled out of the exorcism circle and crashed into your tent)
how could you not fight?
with only your medical skills to guide you, you throw potion after poison with your best aim
as stronger cultivators help injured ones escape
y/n! y/n! you have to leave!
but the demon is vicious
and even though your medical supplies are strong
they are no match for the demon’s hateful spirit
you shield your head just as the supply boxes are thrown at you, falling to your knees when a particular one slams into your legs
the demon howls happily, preparing itself to ascend on you just as a smooth sound crescendos across the havoc
at the notes of the xiao the demon withers and screams in agony, and disappears out of the tent to escape
you attempt to stand but gasp as the pain that makes your knees buckle even from the slightest bit of weight
the tears fall out of your eyes unconsciously, and they blur your vision
so you don’t notice the tent flap roughly tugged open, or realize who has ran towards you, kneeled down beside you
only when your tired body is pulled against soft robes, do you realize that you are not alone,
“i’ve failed you, the demon...”
even though they are just your thoughts Lan Xichen hushes you, uses his robe sleeves do dab at your tears,
“you have not failed me, you are alive. that is what’s most important” Lan Xichen promises, holds your teary stare
he lets you hide your face in his chest, shelters you from the world
Jiang Cheng
(color blind until meeting, soulmates)
you shouldn’t be here
with your world in monochrome, the forest path leading to your village had always had an ominous air to it,
you are sure that the forest would be beautiful, if you ever were to meet your soulmate and see color
but now, in the dark of night
everything was ominous
you had lost track of time picking wild berries and mushrooms
and only now when you are walking along the worn path
do you realize that the evening was slipping into night time
as the last rays of the sun disappear behind the tall pine trees,
you feel more lost
more fearful
especially when the air becomes so silent, you can only hear your own breath
especially when suddenly,
something seems to be following you
you dare take a glimpse behind just to catch a shadow, a fog, something
it is unclear, but it scares you
and you run blindly
run, run run run run, off the path, deeper into the forest, if only to get away from the sound of the thing crashing and howling behind you
you trip on your run, the dark of the forest floor and the late night blending in together
your fall sends you rolling down a small incline,
enough for pain to shoot up your arms
and for you lay motionless once the world is no longer spinning in your vision
as you lay there, you wonder if you would even be given a grave, your death unknown as it would be
just as your vision darkens entirely,
a light of purple, like a thunder strike, lights up the forest
and everything falls silent
Song Lan
(red string of fate, soulmates)
the red string at the end of your pinky had always stretched out mysteriously before you
you’d never follow its path before
and having grown up in a small secluded village,
it didn’t really seem like a feasible option
all of these years alone, living and going about the same routine
there was a semblance of acceptance
but as you’re faced with the gaping jaws of a vicious dog/wolf demon
you can’t help but feel unlucky
you want to scream, for any kind of help
but your village is still too many paces away
and the path that you had taken had always been empty
you cover your head, cornered as you are
and pray that at the very least, death could be painless
you cover your eyes, hold your breath
and for the longest time all that seems to surround you is the noise of your impending death
but then,
“are you alright?”
it is another human voice, a soft gentle, human voice
and your hands come off your face
and you open your eyes
the man that stares down at you has a cold serious, but not unwelcoming face
and you stare at him for a beat before skittering your eyes away, landing on the red string of his own hand
it is short
and you wished that your distance was just as short
you bring your hand to your lap, and after another moment realize that the string
is connected
Xiao Xingchen
(pain detection soulmates)
it is nothing particularly winding as much as it is surprising
Xiao Xingchen had always had a very high pain tolerance
as a strong cultivator, it is a must in his technique
but the pain that he was suddenly feeling now,
was an incredibly deep, humming warmth against his side
it felt as if his own qi was being taken, even though that can’t be possible
it takes Xingchen a moment to remember the haunted inn at the small village he was currently in
and the supposed demons-
Xingchen leaves the shop that he is in quickly,
runs through the town as the feeling in his side burns all the more
he runs to the near outskirts of the town,
bursting through the rickety doorway of the haunted establishment
Xingchen hears a muffled breathing, shallow breathing and lunges at the demon
even without his sight, Xingchen can sense the demon clearly, his gut hasn’t proved him wrong
and when it is slain
the quietness of the inn lobby makes him wonder
makes him unnecessarily fearful,
as a cultivator he is too familiar with death
yet...
Xingchen drops to his knees, hand reaching out blindly, painfully until he meets soft but torn robes
your hand is cold when he holds them, though when he feels your wrist there is hope again at the sluggish tug of your pulse
as Xingchen concentrates and pours his own spiritual energy into you
the pain in his side gradually lessens,
disappears
and he barely questions why

The yandere! jiang cheng when she tried to runaway is so good!!! Part 2 when she realize she pregnant, terrified and scared of what jiang cheng would do, she runaway to gusu. Jiang cheng is angry, when he meet reader she is threatened miscarriage,...you can choose the ending bc I'm lowkey scared of this man now
Awww! Thank you! And I think i see something going on here... Honestly, I am scared of what I wrote about him haha! I will insert myself as your friend to help you escape if that is alright, and tell me in the ask box who do you want to end up with? Anyways! Here you go! :
You felt uneasy and fainted infront of Wei Wuxian and the juniors “Miss Y/N!” They call out your name, luckily Wei Wuxian caught you. “Y/N! Wake up!” He shakes you gently and Xiaoyue ( me ) runs up to check on you. “Jingyi! Get the physician over here now!” She tells him and Jingyi runs to get the physician.
When you woke up you see Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen and the juniors listening carefully to what the doctor is saying. You hear a ringing noise and you saw white spots and you finally say “What is happening..” The seven of them turn their head to you and Xiaoyue walks to you while holding your hand. You were back in Lotus pier and Jiang Cheng was visiting Nie Huaisang. “Y/N... You are pregnant..” She announces the news to you. Your eyes filled with tears of sadness and joy clouded your vision when you heard her say that. “I will leave you all be.” The physician left the room and now it’s just you, and the eight of them inside. “Y/N, do you still want to stay?.. With Jiang Cheng?” Wei Wuxian asks you “Here, use this to wipe your tears Miss Y/N.” Sizhui hands his handkerchief to you as you dry your tears with it. “Y/N-jie..” Xiaoyue’s soft blue eyes filled with sadness for your child and what will the future be for the both of you. “I don’t want to stay here any longer.” You say still sniffling. “I want to run away.. Please help me..” You finally say to them and Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji look at each other, then at Lan Xichen. “Y/N-guiniang, you could stay in Gusu. Xiaoyue can help you take care of the child along with the juniors. We will provide anything you need there.” He says to you ”Mn, you can tell us anything.” Lan Wangji tells you. You nod and say “I want to run away to Gusu.”
That night, when Jiang Cheng was still in Qinghe. Wei Wuxian and the 2 maids ( if you remember, the first part. ) packed your stuff and Xiaoyue sang a song on the roof, making the people outside sleep. “While Xiaoyue is singing, we will go through the door when you hear it open.” Wei Wuxian explains and when you heard the door open... You saw “Jiang Cheng..” Both you and Wei Wuxian were left shook. He came in early.. “What is the meaning of this?!” He shouted and the Zidian crackled it’s purple lightning. “Jiang Cheng, I‘m telling you this.. Don’t. Hurt. Her.” Resentful energy surrounds Wei Wuxian and you when he said that. Jiang Cheng brings a body from outside, “Give me back my wife or I will kill this girl.” He says while he chokes Xiaoyue. “Do-don’t..” She struggles in his grasp “Y/N!” He shouts at you, Zidian crackling again. “Lan Zhan!” Wei Wuxian calls out his partners name for help. “Hah.. You think that Lan boy will save you? I took care of him already.. Zewu-Jun, Jingyi, Zizhen, Sizhui.. And.. Jin Ling. They all are serverly injured, all because of you.” Jiang Cheng laughs hysterically, Xiaoyue and Wei Wuxian tears up “What did you do to them?!” Wei Wuxian screams “Where are they?!” He asks again. “Give me Y/N, and I’ll tell.” Jiang Cheng says, determined to imprison you in Yunmeng. “Not a chance!” Wei Wuxian says and Jiang Cheng’s grip tightens around Xiaoyue’s neck. “H-he-help..” She pleaded while gasping for air. “Let her and Wei-Xiong go..” You say and he does as he was told. Wei Wuxian, still protecting you. And Xiaoyue gasps for air with tears on her eyes. You walk up to him and say “I am atleast 3 weeks pregnant Wanyin, if you want this child.. Let me go.” You say to him and he was surprised! He is going to be a father? ( yea sorry no.. ) you look at Xiaoyue, sliently crying and Wei Wuxian was still keeping his guard up with his swollen eyes. “Sect leader Jiang.. What did you do to them..” Xiaoyue finally asks, coughing out blood. “Stabbed them here and there.. Whipped them, cursed at them..” Jiang Cheng says still in shock. Xiaoyue is trembling at what else might have happened to them. “If you dare.. Capture me and my child to be brought back here.. I will stage a miscarriage..” You say knowing you won’t dare sacrifice the child inside you. But he doesn’t know. Jiang Cheng begs you to stay but his efforts in vain, his heart broken.
You saw the damage Jiang Cheng did to your friends ( and son figure ). “Everyone!” You brisk walk to them seeing all their wounds and whip lashes. “Lan Zhan!” Wei Wuxian embraces his husband “Wei.. Ying..” Lan Wangji manages to say his lovers name. “Y/N-guiniang..” The juniors greet you, trying to stand up. “Sizhui!” Xiaoyue tries to run to him but falls in the slippery pier. “Xiaoyue!” Sizhui tries to stand up but when Jiang Cheng whipped their legs.. The pain was unbearable. Xiaoyue cried trying to walk carefully to the juniors, but she sprained her ankle. “Jin Ling..” You walk to him, and embrace him “Mom...” He tears up saying those words. “How will we go back to Gusu..” You ask and Lan Xichen tries to stand up and walk towards you. “Y/N-guiniang, you don’t need to worry..” he comforts you. “Sizhui, Jingyi, any Gusu Lan signals? ( I forgot what they were called )” Xiaoyue asks and Sizhui handed her the last one. She stands up and fires the signal up in the sky, after some minutes you rip off your purple Jiang robes and bandaged everyone with your sleeves and hem of your robes. Xiaoyue did the same and when the Lan disciples came to help, you told them to call a physician again. “Mom.. It hurts..” Jin Ling tells you when you squeezed his hand. “Sorry a-Ling..” You apologize and received news from the physician. ( I’m no doctor okay- ) “It’s not really life threatening, they need rest and sleep.” He told you and Xiaoyue brought some soup for all of you.
“Open your mouth.” You say to Jin Ling and spoon-fed him his soup, Wei Wuxian did the same thing and Xiaoyue did the same thing with Sizhui. Jingyi and Zizhen’s hands were fine :D
( will make a part 3 but tell me who do you want to be with, and how do you want it to go )

Can I request a pregnancy hcs for Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen, Wei WuXian, Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen? Thank you!!!
Hello, hello, dear. These turned out a tad shorter, since it's 5 characters, (and pregnancy is Xtreme to write) but regardless - I hope you enjoy ❤️ One fluffy request coming right up~
Lan Wangji
"I'm pregnant" "Mn"
It's not like he isn't happy, he just needs some time to realise what you've just told him. And boy oh boy, does he realise it.
*cue smol content smile*
Lan Wangji has already taken care of a child, he raised Lan Yuan. But a baby? That would be a novelty to him for sure. But a novelty he's more than ready for. Even if he doesn't think so.
Despite that, he'd take great measures to make sure he'll be the best father possible.
His excitement would be hidden, but fully noticeable to you. His eyes would sparkle more, he'd generally appear more relaxed, he'd spend more time with you. (as much as possible, that is) The only other person who'd see the excitement in his icy stare would be Lan Xichen, who'd be the second to learn of the pregnancy, right after LWJ.
Now, he isn't the #DreamHusband™️ without a reason. He'd be fully prepared with anything you might need during those 9 months. He'd talk to his brother, albeit reluctantly, for any advice on how to deal with any side effects of the pregnancy, so he could make sure you are heathy and happy.
He'd silently watch over you, always making sure you are not in harm's way. His cold glares would double towards anybody who'd dare approach you about anything, outside of Lan Xichen, Wei Wuxian and Lan Sizhui.
He wouldn't necessarily stop you from going anywhere, although he'd want to but rather - he'd just tag along. You want to go down town? He'd escort you. Want to cook something? He'll help. Oh look, a puppy! Protective husband mode - on.
Sometimes, before the two of you go to sleep, he'd lay a strong hand over your stomach, gently rubbing your skin, basking in the joy, that you are carrying his child - the product of your love. And should the baby kick? A surprised, almost mute yelp would escape his thin lips, before he'd move to leave a gentle kiss on your stomach.
He never thought, never even imagined, that one day he'd have a family of his own, with a wonderful wife right next to him, and a child to call him papa. He didn't even so much as thought he could have one of those "happy endings". It seemed such distant a future, almost as if it was make-belief. Yet during those rare moments in the dead of night, he'd think, that perhaps a happy ending is possible. Perhaps he'd get to experience that normal, domestic lifestyle loving families have. And then sleep would come a little easier, knowing you'll stay by his side until the very end.
Lan Xichen
"Oh?"
What wonderful news! He'd be the most calm and collected out of everybody. He'd hug you, pouring all of his love into the hug, promising to be by your side until the very end, that he'll try his best to be a good father, to take care of you and your child and to love you unconditionally. (which he already does)
The two of you decided not to tell everybody just yet. It would be while before it became noticeable, so you decided to keep it to yourself to avoid unnecessary attention and possible bad omens or whatever. The only person who'd know would be Lan Wangji.
At first glance, nothing much would change. He'd still have responsibilities to get to, he'd still be your loving, kind, compassionate husband.
But every time he is left alone, his mind would immediately travel to you. In fact, such occurrences would begin happening while he's presumably busy too. Zoning out and day dreaming while working were pretty uncommon for Lan Xichen, yet the constant thought of you and your well-being would cloud his vision.
That, in turn, would be a dead giveaway that something was happening in his more personal life. The first to address this would be none other than Wei Wuxian, who'd turn to LWJ. Slowly but surely, more people would begin noticing the slight, yet unusual changes in Lan Xichen. He'd leave a little earlier, reply a little later and he could be spotted with you every second away from work.
When you decided to finally announce the pregnancy, a collective "I knew it" would be all but the response you'd expect.
Behind closed doors, he'd be so sweet and affectionate with you. And don't get me started on how much he'd play music to the baby you. He'd want your child to grow up with music, which included singing and playing different instruments around you before it was even born. And you wouldn't really mind - after all, Lan Xichen's music rivalled the gods' voices, or so it was said.
In fact, with time you'd realise, that your child would indeed react to his music. If the baby was exceptionally wild, kicking and moving around, Lan Xichen's calm melodies would put it at rest. (had this happen to a friend, it was crazy) Even his voice would act as a natural lullaby to the baby.
And you already knew, that the child would grow up to fall in love with music, just like his father.
Wei Wuxian
"Wait what? Really???"
*Happy pterodactyl noises*
The happiness. The joy. The love. The pride. Wei Wuxian would be beyond ecstatic! He'd be on cloud nine the moment your announcement hit his ears. He'd have the most OVER-THE-TOP MELODRAMATIC reaction to your pregnancy imaginable.
Imagine a tsunami. Now replace the water with joy. This is how EXTREME his happiNESS IS.
But then, he'd sit down and talk to you about it properly, about how this baby would change your life together, what you'd need to do, how you'd do it. Together you'd figure out your future, as much as possible that is.
He'd make sure both you and the baby would be well taken care of, well-fed, living a nice, domestic life. He knew poverty, famine and sickness. They were his old friends. He knew what is was like growing up without much on your plate. He knew of every struggle imaginable, which came with being less fortunate, so he'd be ready to do absolutely everything to provide for you.
Once he settled down, believing he's planned ahead well, the realization would finally kick in - Wei Ying, The Yiling Patriarch, Founder of Demonic Cultivation and the pinnacle of darkness and despair, was about to be a father. And with that came in the insecurities. He'd constantly worry whether he'd be a good father, whether he'd set a good example, whether his reputation would ruin his child's life. He knew how judgemental society is, how quick it is to draw conclusions and ostracise those, who stood out. In those moments you'd have to remind him of how far he's come and how much farther you'll go together - as a family.
And a family he's wanted all of his life.
He's had some practice when it comes to kids. After all, for a brief moment he'd taken care of little A-Yuan. But then again, he was already old enough to speak, talk and think completely on his own. Wei Wuxian had never had the chance to actually take care of a baby, a newborn. That thought both terrified and thrilled him.
He'd be quick to announce of the pregnancy to all of his closest friends, but try to avoid spreading the news. Even though he was no longer considered the villain™️, you can never know who's scheming from within the shadows. With that in mind, the Twin Jades, Jiang Cheng, Nie Huaisang, Wen Ning and the Juniors would be the ones he'd excitedly inform. Soon he was going to have his own progeny! Would it be a strong, fearless handsome boy like its father, or an intelligent, masterfully cunning and dangerously beautiful girl like its mother? Stay tuned to find out!
And boy, would he celebrate the pregnancy! You'd almost make him quit drinking just to sympathise with you. Almost.
Xiao Xingchen
"We're going to have a family? Together?"
Words wouldn't be enough to describe what he'd feel. Fleeting worry in between bouts of utter elation and delight, mixed with a hint of surprise and a whole lot of internally sappy thoughts occupied his better judgement. He'd pull you in for a gentle hug, before moving to rest a hand on your head, stroking your hair, whispering lovingly how delightful a family with you would be and how he couldn't wait to meet his child.
He'd want to teach his child everything he knows, everything he was taught and everything he believes in. You'd have to remind him, that there's still much time to go before he'd have a chance to do that. A toddler can only do so much, you see.
Of course, the question about his endless travels would come up eventually. Truthfully, Xiao Xingchen would be more than willing to set his travelling aside for the time being, at least until your child is old enough to travel with you. In fact, a domestic family lifestyle suddenly wouldn't seem so out-of-reach for him and that would bring him utter delight.
The thought of a having his own loving family with a wonderful wife and adorable children had rarely crossed his mind, seeming as nothing more than a distant thought. But as you stood beside him, with a small baby bump and a child on the way, he'd realise that indeed the gods had smiled his way in the best possible way.
He'd often rest his hands on your stomach, wanting to feel the baby kick. Of course, he'd also use that excuse to be ever-closer to you. Physical affection would double, as Xiao Xingxhen found himself attached to you whenever any of you had time.
You two would often joke around about the baby too, since laughter was something sacred to both of you. And Xiao Xingchen would absolutely never fail to make you laugh, whenever worry would overcome you.
" Maybe our child will be as tall as a giraffe" "A-Chen, my love, it's 3 in the morning. Go to SLEEP."
He'd never taken care of a child before, hell you were his first love, but you'd seen him around kids when passing through different villages. His caring nature and innocent heart made him a wonderful father.
He'd never expected to one day have a family, but the very thought that you were there and you were carrying his child, would make his heart swell with pride and love. After all, he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Song Lan
"..."
Tall, dark and handsome over here would be utterly starstuck. He never thought he'd get to a point in his life, where he'd actually become a father. He never thought he'd have children, who would become his legacy. And as all that raced through his head, worry swept over him. Did YOU want that?
"Are you happy...we're having a baby?" The first words he'd utter.
"Of course! Are you not?"
The moment he sees your worried expression, his eyes would soften and he'd pull you in, leaving a kiss on the top of your head. "I am surprised, worried, yet thoroughly overjoyed." he'd mumble into your hair and the world around you would melt away.
Song Lan is a man of a few words, but many actions. He'd become twice as protective, keeping a steady hand on your shoulder as you walked thorough town, going out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and content, safe and sound, and of course happy.
He'd try his best to spoil you, getting you absolutely everything you might want or need. He'd even cook for you! He'd put you as his number one priority. After all, you were all he had left.
Would he silently panic whenever your stomach hurt, or you were feeling sick, or just in general felt any discomfort? Yes. Has he read a ton about pregnancy to make sure he was prepared for anything? Yes. Did he imagine every worst-case scenario in existence? Yes. Did any of that happen whatsoever? No. But Song Lan - big scary, dark and broody Song Lan, would absolutely cower at the thought that something so much as MIGHT go wrong. Of course, he wouldn't show it.
Well into the later stages of the pregnancy, he'd try to spend as much time with you as possible, to make sure he was there when the baby was going to be born. You'd already have a few names planned out, no matter the gender. The two of you would be READY. Hands down the most prepared.
He'd often lie with you, imagining what it would be like, being a father. He'd wonder whether you'd have a girl or a boy, whether it would resemble you or him more, whether it would be quiet and stone-faced, or kind-hearted and cheerful. And your answer to all of his what ifs would remain the same. "We're about to find out."
And those exact words would make his heart swell, both with love and anticipation. Of course, he wouldn't show it. But you knew better.
Thank you for reading~

Untamed Reactions (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Requested by @lelewright1234: Hello my friend! Well, I’m a huge fan of the Untamed series! I wanted to see if you could do a long headcanon of "The Untamed" series characters with an African-American/black! Reader (Can you add Poly!Wangxian and the boys of MDZS) who as their girlfriend/wife with skin as dark as the night, long thick braided hair, a skinny long yet short curvy body, and brownish-black eyes. (Remember Black Lives Matter and Happy Black History Month!!!) Oh also can you add parts where they have children as well? (You can decide how many each of them have!)
Pairing: Untamed characters x female!African-American!reader
Warnings: none
A/N I made this more of a bullet list story then a written image, but I'd love to make a one-shot based on this story board if anyone wants it, also divided it into parts, this one and for the next I'll do Lan Xichen, Guangyao, Xue Yang, Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen
Poly!WangXian:
Tumblr media
You meet them in Cloud Recesses as adult (20-ish)
you come from a clan that usually hides away from others, due to a fight between your clan leader and the others (like Lanling Jin clan leader)
so when you first get introduced, most people are very curious
you look different, so that also gains you a lot of attention
Wuxian is the first to greet you
he's very interested in you
he also thinks you're very pretty
asks a lot of weird questions at first
loves your hair
but like alot
constantly asks if he can braid your hair sometimes, saying he learned how from Yanli
you then have to explain that it isn't like normal braiding per se
que him wanting to learn how to properly braid your hair, which you gladly want teach him
so when he comes by and your hair is loose
and he's confused
because it's suddenly fluffier
he also dragged Wangji along, you still don't know why
so Wangji is sitting in front of you as you drink tea
while you try to explain to Wuxian how to braid
he definitely does his best, but the first braid are kindly said terrible
but he gets it after awhile
the braids still aren't that good, but the thought counted
you re-did your hair afterwards though
but Wuxian got sulky when you removed his braids
so you kept one
Wuxian also noticed the little trinkets and beads for your hair
you quickly explained that it was a sort of tradition and that they had different kinds of meanings
this gains you Wangji's attention as you start explaining while putting the beads back into your hair
they are both very interested in your culture
they often ask you questions throughout your stay at Cloud Recesses, trying to learn more and more
Wangji has absolutely talked back when someone, even when indirectly, insults or berates your culture and looks
Wangji is kind about it
Wuxian is not
he almost attacked someone when they made a mean comment about your hair
and Wangji lets him
Wuxian is the one to ask if you wanted to join there relationship
and he was quite surprised when you accepted
you then start to wear two beads on Wuxian's braid
Wuxian loves this the most, Wangji is just grateful about it
you spend equal time with both of them
with Wangji you're usually in the library, both reading
with Wuxian you're usually in the city, trying all kinds of food
or you're pranking Jiang Cheng
usually the latter
some people laugh at your relationship
but not in a bad way
they just joke that Wuxian needs two people to calm him down
and it's true
he only calms down when both of you tell him to hush
but he demands cuddles after
which he gets
otherwise he gets sulky
and you don't like being ignored
you somehow are able to make Wangji less "stuck up"
he feels and looks much more relaxed when he's alone with you and Wuxian
loves when you comb his hair or hug him
surprisingly, he's much more affectionate then you'd think
not as much as Wuxian
but still a lot
not in public though
only Wuxian likes being affectionate in public
people often think Wuxian likes you more since he hugs you more
but it's only because Wangji doesn't like it
he doesn't get upset easily, but such rumors do affect him
and you are a lot more affectionate in private
you do really love them equally and showing this is very important for you
your marriage is very small, only family (this includes the Wens)
you have two ceremonies, one for their culture and one for yours
you have three kids after marriage
they're a mix between all three of you
your firstborn is a mix between you and Wangji in appearance
she has a light brown skin-tone and her hair is like yours, but her face/height is more like Wangji
but her character is like Wuxian's, loves pranking you
your second born looks a lot more like Wuxian
a fair skin, but your hair
he is more like Wangji, focused on studying and such
the third (and last) is a copy of you, but with hair like Wangji and Wuxian
is a mix of pranking and studying, so a bit like you
parenting is a bit difficult
your youngest is usually upset that her hair is different from her siblings
she doesn't like it when you don't braid her hair like her siblings, so you explain that it might not be so good for her hair
Wuxian braids it in a Chinese style instead to cheer her up
Wuxian plays with the kids the most
Wangji focusses more on their teaching
but overall you're a very happy family
Jiang Cheng:
Tumblr media
You meet him at Lotus Pier
your family was invited by his father
you were 14 back then and he was 15
he doesn't care what you look like, but is a bit fascinated
he does like you
because Wuxian leaves him alone now
until he's forced to join you and Wuxian by his father
grows more fascinated by you over time
is that person who changes his actions towards you, but pretends not to
for example when you said that it would be disrespectful in your culture to just ignore someone's greeting, he made sure to always greet you back when you said hello (even when it was just a nod)
cares a lot more than he let's on
you don't see him again until he's sect leader
you greeted him happily and he greeted back instinctively
starstruck when he sees how much you had changed physically
thinks you're even more beautiful than before
you're the first person to ask how he is feeling
not as sect leader, but just as Jiang Cheng
you talked to him like you would to an old friend, not caring about his status
something not a lot of people had done or would do (even Wuxian was more respectful than before)
he definitely changes his character around that period
much more open and more smiles
you confess to him (which he still gets teased for years later)
your courting process isn't that long
he learns a lot
like how to braid your hair
makes the time styling your hair much shorter
and he's actually really good
often listens to you as you explain stuff to him
gets really happy when he learns that you only let people close to you touch your hair
doesn't show it though
you marry after 4 months later
do to his position, your wedding is filled with at least two thousand people (disciplines and leaders from all clans came)
and it's a Chinese wedding
Jiang Cheng is actually a bit upset by this
so decides to redo it with only you two to show that he cares
you have 2 kids after marriage
twins
they look more like you, but they have his eyes, which always make it funny
when they're annoyed, they look exactly like him
kids are a bit scared of them
but they're the sweetest once you know them
their hair is like his, but with light curls in them
but same thickness of your hair
so he styles their hair as well
sometimes in a more Chinese like style
you and Jiang Cheng decide to raise them in two cultures
you teach them yours and he teaches his
kids love it
he sometimes follows your lessons to learn more himself
Jin Ling is your third unofficial child (along with the rest of the juniors as well)
you took him in after the whole fiasco of Guanyin Temple (also helping him in becoming leader of the Lanling Jin Clan)
you also have three other babies
dogs
Jiang Cheng named them (in the most cliché way, of course)
Angel (2), Queen (3) and Prince (1)
he loves them so much
plays with them constantly
and looks soo cute when he does, all smiles
Jiang Chang wants a third child
because he wants every kid to have a dog that protects them
so..... you might have a third child
unless he adopts another dog, then you might have more
it's 50/50 chance to what happens first
but happy family nonetheless
Nie Huaisang:
Tumblr media
You meet him at the very young age of 12
Nie Mingjue had just become clan leader
and he had started to force Huaisang into sword training
so Huaisang ran off
he met you in the forest
your family was traveling and you had stumbled off during break
and you found each other by the river
each on one side
and then he saw you and fell in love
he thought you were some sort of angel
dressed in a beautiful white dress and colorful beads woven into your hair
you only noticed him when you heard a loud splash
you couldn't help but laugh as you saw him sitting in the river
you spent quite some time with him after
you also gave him some dry clothes because it was freezing outside
even more reasons for him to think you're an angel
but then you leave again
you only give each other your names
but years later, you're both 17 at this point, you meet again
he doesn't recognize him at first
until he spotted the pattern on your dress
exactly like the painting he had given you
but you changed a lot compared to then
so did he of course
but you changed everything
your hair was much longer, long braid(s) that reached past your waist and your body had grown much more mature
he approaches you first
introduces himself and is so happy when you remember him
you talk a lot
he doesn't hold back on complementing you
on literally everything
it was supposed to be a party for clan leaders and such
but you two had spent most time talking to each other instead of talking to others
well into the night
the stars had appeared to light your way
you only left when the moon was at its highest
but you met again, two days later
just to talk again
Huaisang felt so secure around you
freely talking about his love for art
showing his collection of self-painted fans
you spend some time together while painting
you often wear vibrant clothes
he loves them, because they look like art as well
but he even loves the simple beads that you sometimes wore in your hair
he even jokes that you yourself are a work of art
calls you his muse after awhile
you always return the name, which often causes him to flush red
he asks you to marry him 2 months into your friendship
he refuses to do a wedding in front of the whole clan (or other clans)
your family is there and all his friends (including Xichen and Guangyao)
includes both your cultures as much as he can
wants to learn how to braid
doesn't do well
you haven't let him braid your hair afterwards
it took you 3 hours to take his first braid out
he's sulky, but understands
continues to learn on his own
gains much respect after he finished his 3th braid (because doing your own braids hurts after awhile)
stops trying to braid after that
about a year into your marriage, your first child is born
a girl
she's dark skinned, but has her father's looks
as she grows older, she grows to look more like him
when she's 5, her little brother is born
he looks more like him
except for his hair, a full head of curly thick hair
Huaisang is very busy as clan leader
but he makes it work
even if it means brushing aside his duties
has at least one day every month just for you guys
you'd walk around in the city
if your children would even look at something for more than a second, Huaisang would try to buy it
you have to stop him
people always laugh when they see their leader being dragged by the ear by his wife
with two happy children running behind you two
he teaches his kids all about history of his clan as well as other clans
as they get older, they learn his mischief
unfortunately, they're also great liars like him
he knows, you don't
which causes them to always come your way
only for him to hear and step in
he loves them too much sometimes though
but he's always scared
scared that war would return
or someone was scheming behind his back, planning his death
yet when he sleeps in your arms every evening, kids huddled around you as well
he feels comforted
like he can protect you at all times
that's all the will he needs to live and protect you
Wen Ning:
Tumblr media
you meet him at cloud recesses at age 15
you were dragged by Wuxian towards Wen Ning's practice spot
Wen Ning was trying to aim when he spotted the two of you
the poor boy almost had a heart attack when he saw a new person with Wuxian
this causes his arrow to shift, flying your way before hitting the tree next to your head
you, however, didn't even flinch
which surprises both boys
you're like Wuxian, very talkative
you talk to Wen Ning afterwards as well
he likes listening to you
opens up to you and you fall in love
he gets extremely excited and if he had a tail, it would be wagging from side to side
you become great friends
and his sister approves, which makes Wen Ning even happier
he invites you over for tea or food
and you just chat with each other about you day or about your past
loves to hear what your home was like
you miss him a lot when he leaves to return to the Wen clan
and then all of a sudden
he's gone
just gone, no explanation
and you don't see him again until he's already the ghost general
he doesn't remember you fully until some memory pushes forward
you baby him immediatley
and scold Wuxian, because Wen Ning looks too pale to your liking and you hate the chains he drags along with him
he takes them off eventually (except for the one around his torso)
you're both very busy
he with Wuxian and you with your clan
but once everything is over
you meet again
you even join him while he goes on the adventure with Sizhui (spin-off movie: The living dead)
you get injured and he becomes so worried
until Sizhui tells him that you're fine
but even then
worried!!!
because what if you die from infection????
you joke at one point that you'd become like him
the joke flies over his head at that point
but he starts to blur out strange things
one of which is that he can't loose you
because he loves you
you just watch until he realizes what he said
and his face just starts turning pink
something you didn't think was possible
but you return the confession by kissing his forehead softly
(you forgot about Sizhui, who was in the same room)
(awkward bean is just smiling)
after the confession, it's still a bit awkward
Neither of you really know what to do in the relationship
but you figure it out after awhile
not that either of you minded hugging each other awkwardly
you marry pretty late, a year after you started dating
it's not really a wedding
more of a gathering
you just gave vows in front of friends/family
what you didn't know is that Wen Ning asked your family first
when you do find out, you go to Wen Qing's grave (not really a grave but rather a memorial) and ask for permission as well
After the wedding, he suddenly asks to braid your hair
and he's really good
learned from his sister
he likes brushing and braiding your hair a lot
it helps him relax his mind
and it takes your arm pains away, so you like it as well
two years into your marriage, you decide you want kids
but you don't have biological kids with Wen Ning
but you did adopt a few kids
mostly kids who were orphaned because of the "war" or other stuff
you have 3
but Wen Ning comes home with a fourth
you just accept it
he's a great father
always playing with the kids happily
and spoiling them
he can't say no...
which leads to hilarious situations
like finding his hair in various braids =knots
it takes you hours to take all of them out once the kids are asleep
comes to the point that you just teach them how to braid
now they braid his and your hair
even with the large braid you already had, you could see several smaller braids that they made (they were very visible)
and then the larger one from Wen Ning
with a red thread woven through per your request
you make sure that its always visible, proud to have it
he cares a lot about his family and he'll protect you at all cost
and you'd do the same
Jin Zixuan:
Tumblr media
you meet at cloud recesses
he's not particularly nice to you
he's made fun of your different appearance
but you can see him looking as his group walks off snickering
the lingering gaze
and his eyes clearly show doubt
so you don't take it fully to heart
but it still hurts
because even if he doesn't mean it, others agree and laugh
he notices and the comments lessen from his side
but then the others find out
Wuxian is the one to take action (of course)
you had never heard so many creative curse words
and all were slung Zixuan's way
afterwards you approach Zixuan
tell him to ignore Wuxian's antics
but to your surprise, he bows a full 90 degrees
and apologizes
when you don't answer, he looks up to see your panicked expression
and he gets on his knees instead (?!)
you are quick to pull him up onto his feet
he's a future clan leader, no way he had to be seen on his knees in front of you
you tell him he doesn't have to apologize anymore, the first was enough
his clan members don't stop though
if anything it got worse
but they do it behind his back
only finds out when Wuxian yells at him again
never had he been so angry
he doesn't talk to his clan members about it yet
feels like the glare was enough
then he apologizes to you again
to which you pull him up again and smile
telling him that he has nothing to worry about
but he knows it's a lie
because Wuxian had screamed at him earlier
and didn't forget to mention that you cried because if the comments
but he doesn't say anything
until he sees you alone
and you were sadly looking at the stream in front of you while chucking stones in ever so often
he approaches you slowly, but you hear anyway
he doesn't know why you smile so brightly when you see him
it confuses him a bit, but he didn't think too much as he joins you
neither of you say anything
it's just silent
you don't talk about that moment the next day
but surprisingly, you meet every night
to just sit with each other in silence
until the 5th day
he finally speaks up
tells you to not listen to his clan members
because they're wrong
when you ask what he means
he just tells you that you're beautiful and unique (in a good way)
the rest of the night is silent again, but you sit closer to each other
and it isn't awkward anymore
you talk a bit more at night
you confide in him now
telling him what others say
and he'll be quick to debunk it
your marriage is announced later that week
in public by some Lanling Jin member
neither you nor Zixuan knew about it
but neither of you mind it that much
his "friends" have a lot to say about it though
and there not positive things (again)
it's in public as well, in the middle of the courtyard where everyone could hear
they probably thought that you would be embarrassed once Zixuan agrees with them
spoiler!
he doesn't
instead he argues back
and defends you whole heartily
which surprises everyone but you
your marriage only takes place when you're of age
it is a giant wedding, thousands of people attend the wedding
once dressed fully, you found yourself beautiful
and Zixuan definitely agreed
your hair was still down in the large braid with ornamental pieces in it
you also wore a heavy head piece (which looks a bit like a crown)
the red dress was also heavy, but it was beautiful nonetheless
you felt like a princess
but you couldn't ignore the whispers around you
your first night together is Zixuan trying to cheer you up
you actually cried at one point
but Zixuan is quick to lessen the thought
telling you every little thing he loves about you
which is everything
he spends the whole night telling you this
(in more than one way)
you only get your first child at age 23, 5 years into your marriage
a boy
looks like him, but has your hair
acts as a mix between you and Zixuan
is kind and patient, but a bit arrogant like Zixuan
not in a bad way though
just know his worth and is not afraid to use it to his advantage
a girl is born 2 years later
she looks more like you, almost exactly the same
but she acts like her father
quite a short temper
takes no sh*t
surprisingly, the two kids get along very well
especially if it comes to getting in trouble
(definitely not from your side)
someone talks bad about the family?
two little demons are watching
but they're very loved, even with some of the troubles they create
Zixuan learns to braid from you just so he can do his sons hair sometimes
even when your son prefers to wear it in a giant bun
so he braids your daughters hair instead
son eventually got jealous of it
so Zixuan makes a few braids to weave into the bun
now everyone was happy
Zixuan is a strict father
but your kids found a way
puppy eyes
courtesy of Wuxian
and there's no way he'll say no to that
you can
so he just comes to you while sulking
and you say no for him
he insists that the kids sleep in the same room for now
he's just worried for assassination
which is not that uncommon
kids usually end up in your bed though
huddled in between the two of you
and they're out by the time the sun is up
which gives you and Zixuan the opportunity to just cuddle
for like 5 minutes
then he has to start his duties
and you would start yours
that's how you live your lives
and neither of you would change it

What their drunk confessions are like (Pt4)
A/N: Pt 4! I am in love with XXC. Its just a fact. So I hope I did him justice! Enjoy!(Also its pretty long sorry)
Xiao XingChen:
This one is very different from the others
We all know Xiao XingChen is an angel so he probably thought he could drink a lot without getting drunk
But he was wrong
So now he’s drunk
And Xiao XingChen is 100% a giggly drunk
You were travelling with him and Song Lan
Song Lan had (Unwisely) left the two of you alone at the inn you were staying at, while he went to buy something
And XingChen wanted to have a drink with you
Now you were also a travelling cultivator who’d once belonged to a sect but had left
You shared the same ideals as the two men so they’d invited you to doing their expeditions
And you had
So you were now very close to both of them
But you and XingChen were slightly closer
Because he was in love with you
And (Surprise!) you were in love with him too
But you’d never said anything because he was so sweet and you didn't wanna ruin it
And now he was drunk and Song Lan would probably blame you
You had tried to stop him!
But he’d been able to convince you that he could take it
And now he was drunk as was practically laying on top of you
He wouldn't stop giggling and acting like a child
“Ah-Y/N!” He said between giggles
“Your hair is so prettyyyyyy”
Que more boyish giggles
“Look! Your face is all red! Are you drunk Ah-Y/N?”
His face was now so close to yours and you were getting stares from the other people in the inn
You decided to get your drunk friend out of there
“Come Ah-Chen, lets go to our rooms”
He didn't protest, but he clung to you as you dragged him up all the while giggling and poking at your hair and cheeks, uttering words between giggles
When you finally got the the rooms, you sat him on his bed and gave him some water
After drinking it he sat quietly for a but before getting up awkwardly to go sit next to you on your bed
Once comfortably seated, he leaned towards you and
“Ah-Y/N... D-do you like Zichen?”
You were slightly bewildered, but you didn't do anything about it, choosing to answer his question simply
“Of course. Both you and Zichen are my greatest friends.”
His boyish grin was back as he giggled again
“I’m more than just your friend Ah-Y/NNNNNNN! I love youuuuuuu! Do you love me too Ah-Y/N?”
Even in such a drunk state, he was so cute
And for the life of you you couldn’t tell if he was being serious
“O-of c-course Ah-Chen...”
The look on his face was priceless
“Really?” He practically yelled before crushing you in a hug, burying his face in your hair and muttering sweet things to you
You just lay there, trying to process what had just happened
Had all that been real or was it just a side effect of the drinks?
Just then, Song Lan returned from his shopping
The look on his face said it all as he stared at you
“What happened?” He muttered putting down what he’d bought
Xiao XingChen was off you in a heartbeat, a huge smile on his face and rosy cheeks as he told Song Lan what had happened
“Ah-Y/N said she is in love with me!”
Song Lan looked at you surprisedly before grinning at you
It wasn't often that you could see Song Lan grin
You felt really embarrassed
“I love her and she loves me too! Isn't that great Zichen?”
Song Lan nodded gently at the drunk man before gently ushering him into bed, you trying to calm your beating heart the entire time
Until
“Ah-Y/N! Come sleep with meeee!”
Seeing the look on your face, Song Lan couldn't stop laughing
Thank you for reading!

I’ll be with you till the end
youtube
Warning: Angst, suicide, death and mentions of blood. This is also based on the novel and manhua, so people who haven't read the manhua and the novel might get confused.
L/n Y/n was waiting patiently for Xiǎo Xīngchén. He was taking longer than usual and it worried her. As she waited patiently for Xiǎo Xīngchén, she noticed 3 figures in the dark, cloudy town.
"Xīngchén! What happened?" Y/n asked as she noticed the dried blood on his hands as he put down Xuē Yáng.
"This blood isn't mine." said Xiǎo Xīngchén "Ā-Qìng, boil some water and be careful."
Ā-Qìng was going to boil some water but Y/n already boiled the water for her since Ā-Qìng might hurt herself.
"Thank you, um..."
"Y/n, but you can call me jiě jiě*"
"Then jiě jiě it is then."
"Ā-Qìng please hurry!"
"Coming," said Ā-Qìng as she hurried to give the water to Xiǎo Xīngchén.
Xiǎo Xīngchén rolled his sleeves up and then grabbed a cloth to clean the mysterious man's face. As he was cleaning the man's face, y/n noticed that the man looked similar. After he finished cleaning the man's face, y/n instantly knew who the man was.
"Xuē Yáng," she gasped quietly.
"Jiě jiě, is something wrong?"
"No everything is alright" replied Y/n.
"Are you sure, you seem shock. Are you-"
"I'm fine, just... tired."
"Xuē Yáng, what are you planning?" murmured y/n.
"Ā-Qìng, why don't you stay here, while I help Xīngchén to find some wood...
And look out for him" said y/n as she narrowed her head towards to Xuē Yáng.
"Yes, jiě jiě."
After y/n and Xiǎo Xīngchén were gone for a while, they came back and saw Ā-Qìng running towards them.
"Ā-Qìng, is something wrong?" asked Y/n.
"Jiě jiě, I don't trust that guy. He seems dangerous, when will he leave?" said Ā-Qìng as she ran towards them.
"You already ate his candy, Ā-Qìng. So don't try and scare him."
"Wait... Maybe we should try and listen to Ā-Qìng, she may be right." Y/n said as she tried to reason with Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Y/n, look at the man condition, he's in a poor state. Plus she already ate his candy and he'll probably leave once he heals."
"Alright, don't worry Ā-Qìng. Everything will be fine." assured Y/n.
A couple of months had passed. Xuē Yáng condition has gotten better but he was still staying with them and had planned to do something with Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Ā-Qìng, could you come here for a minute."
"Yes, jiě jiě?"
"Ā-Qìng, why are you pretending to be blind?"
"Wha...t do you mean?" stuttered Ā-Qìng.
"Don't worry Ā-Qìng, I won't tell Xiǎo Xīngchén. But please don't take advantage of his kindness, we've already dealt with enough grief." Y/n chuckled sadly.
"Don't worry, jiě jiě. You can trust me" smiled Ā-Qìng.
"Alright, you stay here while I'm gone"
Ā-Qìng stayed for a while until she noticed Xuē Yáng was acting strange again. So she followed him and Xiǎo Xīngchén to see what they were doing. She followed them to a village and she was horrid at the sight. She saw corpses everywhere and there was not a single person alive. They were all murdered by Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Jiě jiě is probably worried about me, I have to go back and tell her what I saw."
"Jiě jiě!"
"Ā-Qìng, where were you? And why are you running so fast?"
"Jiě jiě! I saw Dàozháng killing the villagers! I think that cultivator that we found is a bad guy and not a good guy!"
"I know Ā-Qìng, that's why we must be careful when we are around him. Understand?"
"Yes, Jiě jiě."
Once everyone was asleep, y/n was going to confront Xiǎo Xīngchén about Xuē Yáng.
"Xīngchén, are you sure we can trust that guy? He might be dangerous."
"Y/n, I already told you this. Until he's healed, he can leave"
'"Alright, I just don't want you to be hurt. You already lost your eyesight, and I don't want you to be hurt again." y/n said as she put her hands on the blindfold where his eyes were once there.
"Don't worry about me, as long as we have each other everything will be fine." Xiǎo Xīngchén said as he kissed her on her head.
After another trip from the market, Y/n noticed a figure similar to someone who she knew in the past as the figure and Ā-Qìng arrived. It couldn't be him, could it?
"Ā-Qìng, are you back?"
"Yes, Jiě jiě."
As y/n went to greet Ā-Qìng and the familiar figure. She realised who he was.
"Zǐchēn." gasped y/n as she ran to greet her long, lost friend.
As they greeted each other, they saw Xuē Yáng and Xiǎo Xīngchén together.
"Why is he here?"
"Calm down, he doesn't know. After Ā-Qìng and him saved Xuē Yáng, Xiǎo Xīngchén has been letting Xuē Yáng stay with us. We tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen." sighed Y/n.
She noticed his gripped on Fúxuě getting tighter.
"Zǐchēn where are you going? Please don't do anything reckless." shouted y/n.
As she tried to chase him, she was already too late.
She saw the sight of him being murdered by his own best friend. She knew it wasn't Xiǎo Xīngchén fault but she felt so betrayed, she cried as she saw the sight of Zǐchēn.
"Zǐchēn! Zǐchēn!? Please wake up!" No matter how many times she tried to wake him up, but she was too late.
"Ā-Qìng, come on. They'll probably wonder where we are."
The next day, Xuē Yáng went to the market. Y/n and Ā-Qìng were planning to tell Xiǎo Xīngchén the truth.
As y/n gently pushed Xiǎo Xīngchén inside and told Ā-Qìng to blocked the doors. She sat him down and tried to sound as gentle as possible but she couldn't bare to tell him because he already dealt with enough grief in his life, his jiě jiě had died, his best friend had lost his sight, and Xiǎo Xīngchén had to dug out his own eyes and gave them to his best friend so he can save him.
"Ā-Qìng why don't you tell him first?"
"Tell me what?" Xiǎo Xīngchén asked them.
"Umm... Do you know someone named Xuē Yáng?" asked Ā-Qìng.
"...."
"....Xuē Yáng? Ā-Qìng, how did you learn this name? Who told you of this? Was it y/n?"
"What Ā-Qìng is trying to say is that man is Xuē Yáng. He lied to us. That bastard, thinking he can take advantage of your kindness."
"But his voice is different, and..."
"That bastard disguised his voice on purpose because he was afraid you'll recognise him!" shouted Ā-Qìng. "He also has nine fingers!"
"Nine fingers?!"
"Xīngchén!" y/n said as he collapsed onto a chair.
"How did you found out he has nine fingers?"
"Xīngchén, I saw it with my own eyes. That man looks exactly like him and he does have nine fingers!"
"But how did Ā-Qìng know? Did she touched his fingers?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén. "But if he really was Xuē Yáng, how could he let you touch his hand without finding about his broken finger?".
"I told her, and..."
"Jiě jiě, it's fine. It's time he does know the truth."
"Tru..th?" stuttered Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"I'm not blind! I can see! I didn't touch his hand, I saw it!"
"You can see?!"
"Xīngchén, please calm down for a second. It wasn't her intention to deceive you, she was just afraid that you'll not let her stay with us if you figured out she wasn't blind." As she said this she noticed blood was underneath his blindfold.
"Ā-Qìng, he's bleeding. Can give me a cloth so I can clean his face."
"Why is he bleeding?" asked Ā-Qìng.
"It's from an old injury," said Xiǎo Xīngchén. "But if it really is him, why did he stay by our side for many years and why didn't he killed us from the start?".
"He was injured, and he needed someone to heal him!" shouted Ā-Qìng.
"Ā-Qìng, you and y/n need to go."
"Me? I'm staying here with you just like I've been doing the past years!" shouted y/n.
"Go!? Aren't you and jiě jiě coming with me?"
"Ā-Qìng, we need to stay here and find out what he wants. If Xiǎo Xīngchén and I go with you, more people from Yì city will be manipulated by him and murdered. Don't worry Ā-Qìng, you're a smart girl. We believe you can survive and provide yourself a good life."
As they were finished talking, Xuē Yáng had just arrived.
"Open up! I thought you guys were leaving? Well, aren't you going to hurry up and remove the door latch and let me in. I'm exhausted."
"Be patient, Ā-Qìng is just changing."
"How long is it going to take? Hurry up, it shouldn't take that long. Now, open up"
"I'm not going to open the door. Kick it open if you dare!" yelled Ā-Qìng.
"Hahaha..." he laughed " What you said. Dàozháng, don't blame me if you have to get the door fixed."
Xuē Yáng took a bite of an apple, he "brought" from the market and then he kicked the door opened.
"Ā-Qìng, use this chance to escape."
"What about you Jiě jiě?"
"Don't worry about me, I'm staying here with Xīngchén. Now go"
Xiǎo Xīngchén and y/n were fighting with Xuē Yáng. Ā-Qìng saw this as her chance to escape as the other two were fighting with him.
"You think it's fun?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"It is, isn't it?"
"Shut up, how is this fun?" asked y/n, as she pointed her sword to his neck.
"What was your goal? Why did you stay with us for all these years?" Xiǎo Xīngchén asked.
"Who knows? Maybe I was bored?"
Xiǎo Xīngchén then started to cry blood and it was rolling down his face. As he and y/n tried to attack Xuē Yáng, Xuē Yáng tried to continue his story. After he finished his story, y/n shouted "So what if he broke one of your fingers, does that still give you the right to wipe out their entire sect!?".
"Well, you can thank Cháng Cíán for the Xuē Yáng you see today" he fired back.
"If you wanted to take revenge on the Cháng clan, you could've broken one of his fingers, but why did you have to murder the innocents?" asked Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"It was only 50 lives, but how could they make up for one of my fingers?"
Xiǎo Xīngchén then nearly collapsed but y/n had caught him. " Xiǎo Xīngchén, are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
"Xuē Yáng, I should've never trusted you! You truly are... absolutely... disgusting!"
"Xiǎo Xīngchén, I hate people like you the most. You all act so brave and heroic, and think you guys are saints!"
"Enough!" shouted y/n. "Xuē Yáng, what makes you think that you can shout at Xiǎo Xīngchén this way!? If it weren't for him you would still technically be out in the streets and you'll probably be dead!"
"Let me ask you this y/n, who is Xiǎo Xīngchén to be disgusted by me?" questioned Xuē Yáng.
"What are you talking about?" Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Well 2 years ago, we went out to kill walking corpses did we not?"
"Yes, but why are you bringing this up?" said Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Nothing, but it's really unfortunate that you're blind. You couldn't see their faces in shock and the terror on their faces. The family from young to old were all kneeling down to you. Hitting their faces down to the ground and were trying to beg for mercy. If I didn't cut their tongues out they would've been definitely be begging like "Dàozháng, please spare us. We have a family to raise and our children are still young."
"You're lying! You're lying! Y/n please tell me this isn't true."
"..." y/n didn't answer and she remained silent.
"You're lying! You're lying! You tricked me!"
"Yes, who would knew that it was me deceiving you, after all, this time." laughed Xuē Yáng.
Y/n then stabbed Xuē Yáng on the side because she couldn't bare to listen to this torture.
"Fine, if you both don't believe then let me show you a prime example of someone you two knew."
Xuē Yáng then snapped his fingers, and he summoned...
"Zǐchēn" gasped y/n.
As Xiǎo Xīngchén had Shuānghuá against Fúxuě, he finally realised who he was fighting with.
"Zǐchēn....Zǐchēn, is that you?" he asked. "Please say something."
Xuē Yáng chuckled at this sight "Must I remind you of the identity of the corpse you killed yesterday?"
"No, you're lying. Y/n please tell me he's lying."
"I'm sorry," cried y/n. "He's telling the truth."
Xiǎo Xīngchén immediately collapsed to the ground and started to cry blood. Y/n then pointed her sword to Xuē Yáng and yelled at him "Xuē Yáng, how dare you manipulate Xiǎo Xīngchén. What did he do to deserve this? Tell me why are you doing this!"
"It's not like you're completely innocent y/n."
"What... Do you mean?"
"You could've done something and gone to get help but no, you just stood there and watched him murder innocents."
"No," gasped y/n. "Shut up! Shut up! No!"
"Yes, this is your fault if you have gone to get help than none of this would've happened," Xuē Yáng told her.
"No that's not true! That isn't true!" y/n cried.
Xuē Yáng then walked over to Xiǎo Xīngchén and then he started to mock him.
"What's wrong? Is the reunion of three best friends so emotional that it's making you cry?" mocked Xuē Yáng.
"The hilarity is killing me. Look at yourself! You can't even save yourself! You're a total failure to be stuck in such a position and this is your fault!
"Please, have mercy..." cried Xiǎo Xīngchén.
"Mercy? Weren't you going to stab me with your sword a moment ago?" laughed Xuē Yáng.
Xiǎo Xīngchén immediately grabbed his sword and then cut himself in the neck.
"Xīngchén!" cried y/n as she ran to his body. "Why did you this? Why?"
"Haha... look at yourself y/n, who's going to save you now. Why do you even bother trying? Everyone you love is dead."
"Xīngchén!" Y/n cried as she hugged his body, and her tears were falling onto his cheek. She noticed his sword, so she grabbed it and then she stabbed herself, blood started to appear on her hanfu and blood spilt out of her mouth, she then collapsed and held onto Xiǎo Xīngchén's hand.
"Xīngchén" she whispered as she stared at him and held his hand tightly as she took her last dying breath.

Lotus Pier was quiet now that things settled after Jin Guangyao got out of the picture. Wei Wuxian visited Yunmeng a few times but left just as quickly on Hanguang-Jun’s arm. Jiang Cheng found it ridiculous how Wei Wuxian acted like a whining wife but that is Wei Wuxian. Yanli once said that there is a thing called Aurora Borealis. A natural electrical phenomenon caused by the interaction of charged particles from the sun with atoms in the upper atmosphere. He had no idea how his shijie got her hands on the book she learnt it from but she said that the same thing could happen between two people. He always thought that something of the sort was rare to be witnessed let alone find it for yourself.
However, seeing Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, he realized what his shijie was talking about. Witnessing it – his shijie said – was rare and special. Jiang Cheng only felt envy. The elders were pestering him to find a suitable wife and marry quickly to ensure the heirs of their sect. Honestly, he had no want in marrying someone he never even met before. No one could really match him and moreover, who would want to marry him knowing about his… not so kind and righteous past. Things changed ever since Wei Wuxian came back and now, he regretted some of the things he’s done out of anger and want for revenge.
He cursed his thoughts for wandering so far during a nighthunt. The woods around them cast them in their dark shadows and the leaves hid the starry night sky from their eyes. Their was a cold humidity in the air as they walked, crunching the fallen dried leaves under his boots as he walked. He needed to focus, Jin Ling was with him after all, who would show the kid how to do things right if he didn’t? Not that Jin Ling was not pleading with him to accompany him. Even if Jin Ling was a sect leader, he needed to learn a lot of things and who else would aid him if not his uncle. Jiang Cheng never told the kid that he was proud of him but he thought he didn’t need to. The kid was self-assured without him praising him.
There was a roar suddenly coming from ahead stopping him and Jin Ling in their tracks. His body froze in place and listened carefully for any other sound. He knew they in disadvantage in the darkness and lighting up fire would possibly endanger his nephew.
“Uncle, it’s ahead of us!” the kid said with a hushed tone, warning in his eyes and readied himself for attack. However, before they could move, the song of an erhu interrupted the quiet of the night. It seemed like the time has stopped around them. Even the wind seemed to stop. Everything fell into a dead silence. The sound was beautiful yet terrifying. It had an alluring tone meanwhile anyone would shudder by the notes. Jiang Wanyin carefully walked forward in search of the cultivator who played. The foliage was crunching under his feet as he walked carefully, one step after the other. His heart was beating loudly in his ears as he approached the opening in the line of trees ahead. The resentful energy was so thick he could cut it with his sword. As he led his nephew out of the forest onto a clearing, his eyes widened.
In the middle of the field a woman was playing the erhu, her long hair flowing in the wind, her robes indicating her connection to nobility. Jiang Wanyin never saw her before and by the patterns, she was a member of the royal family. The monster he was chasing with his nephew slowly fell apart by itself. It was a monster that fabricated itself from different corpses. He was on the road trying to catch it around the town where people reported seeing it. The commoners of course were frightened to death by only the sight of it even from a far. The woman stood up and with the motion of her hand the erhu flew back into its holder which she strapped onto herself. She stopped in her tracks and turned to them, her eyes flashing with crimson red before it returned to a natural (e/c) eye color. Her lips pulled into a smile one that people wouldn’t be able to tell if it was kind or sinister.
“Jiang sect leader, Jin sect leader” she bowed to them in respect with a small smile playing on her lips. Her voice was melodic and Jiang Cheng couldn’t compare another woman to her beauty. He had no idea how she knew their names and if she was a member of the royal family, she was definitely not acting according to it. If she was a princess, she should’ve not addressed them first but wait for them to pay their respect. He narrowed his eyes as he raised a hand in front of Jin Ling to push him back behind himself. Jiang Wanyin couldn’t let his guard down now, this woman could be dangerous.
“Who are you?!” Jin Ling spoke up with his eyebrows furrowed yet his cheeks blushed. The woman chuckled and walked up to them. Her movements were graceful like a goddess’. Her (e/c) eyes never left the two of them and her smile held something strange. It was not threatening nor was it scary but it was definitely off-putting. Jiang Cheng felt her eyes roaming his form and he felt a blush forming on his cheeks. He couldn’t decide if it was from how inappropriately this woman was checking him out or from the notion of being checked out.
“I am Zhu Ran’En” she replied with a melodic voice. It was like a dangerously alluring spell drawing men so they would run into their demise. “Nice to meet you.”
“Zhu Ran’En?” Jin Ling gaped in surprise making her chuckle again.
“You might’ve heard about me” Ran’En shook her head a little like she was disappointed. Of course they knew the name especially after the official announcement of the Imperial Princess’ execution for her crimes. But if she was executed, how could she be standing in front of them? Jiang Wanyin narrowed his eyes at her while waited for her to continue. “Made up, evil-minded, biased rumors I bet…” A small pause as she sighed sadly before she bowed again and continued: “If you excuse me, I have to get to Xutong. It was nice meeting you, please excuse me.”
Ran’En straightened up and smiled at Jiang Wanyin gently before turning around and leaving them in the middle of the clearing. Jiang Cheng felt like he met her somewhere before. It didn’t make sense as he never stepped foot anywhere near the capital let alone the Imperial Palace. However, the feeling was strong even while he was making his way out of the forest with his nephew.
Later ~
The weather was nice but in the early hours of the day, fog fell down on the town. It was not too cold outside but people could barely see to walk around for long. That is why the inn she was sitting in was packed completely. Men were talking with boisterous laughter, others were telling each other stories, drinking to their hearts’ contents. Witnessing such simple life made her feel curious. She always wished she could live somewhere peaceful instead of being a princess and now she was here, sitting in an inn, drinking tea in the sea of commoners. It was truly fascinating.
She was aware that her existence was no longer a secret now that Jiang Wanyin found her. Zhu Ran’En tried to keep her existence and whereabouts a secret. Her ways of cultivation were frowned upon after all, yet she had no other choice but to use resentful energy. She never had a golden core no matter how hard she tried. Trying to learn cultivation from just books was difficult especially with the eunuchs and maids scolding her younger self how she was not acting like a proper lady of court. She had no need for it because as an imperial princess, she never had to defend herself. A few months ago, the lowest ranked imperial princess, Zhu Hua Jin and the second prince, Zhu Li Qin worked hard to make the emperor believe them. That is why Zhu Ran’En, the elder daughter of Zhu Zhi Qi – who was the third prince – lost the favor of the emperor and was sent into exile.
She sat in the inn sipping on her tea when two known faces walked in. She felt the shift of the resentful energy no matter how low it was in the room. Her eyes snapped to the new comers just to see the Yiling Patriarch staring back at her. Her lips pulled into a smirk as an invitation for the pair. Hanguang-Jun and Wei Wuxian – known as Mo Xuanyu in his current life – looked around in search for a seat but most tables were full. She had to admit that both of them were good looking. Zhu Ran’En smiled at the black clothed young man and stretched out her arm motioning towards the untaken seats by her table.
“Ah, come and sit, gentlemen” she smiled gently. She quickly waved a waiter over to clean the table for the two cultivators. “I was about to finish here. Feel free to sit.”
Zhu Ran’En stood up and bowed to them while she heard Hanguang-Jun murmur a quiet ‘thank you’ before she straightened up and left them alone. It was better to not linger around for too long. She had no idea if Wei Wuxian could tell that she was a fellow demonic cultivator but she didn’t need him to notice. At least for now. Leaving the inn was easy even though she felt the lingering feeling of someone watching her. A smirk was playing on her lips as she turned down an alley and disappeared from sight.
She spent many days and nights roaming the cities in her exile, collecting information and plotting in the dark. She needed to get back to the imperial palace to protect her younger sister, Zhu WuXi. Ran’En wondered how she was doing these days. WuXi was always bouncing around the palace halls, admiring the beauty of nature and perfected her dance moves. Ran’En was always envious of her younger sister’s delicateness, how lady-like her sister was compared to her. Many people said her younger sister took after their mother and it was true in every possible way. She was just as naïve and good hearted, assuming the best in everyone without a doubt. This made her an easy target for Ran’En’s opponents.
Suddenly, a dog came running towards her while barking loudly, making Ran’En’s smirk pull wider on her beautiful face. Her eyes darkened as she looked at the dog which stopped a few feet away from her in fear. It whined in fear at the sight of her expression she was wearing. Soon, the young Jin sect leader came after the dog with eyebrows drawn together.
“You!” he cried out angrily. The youngster didn’t recognize her right away because she was wearing a simple attire from cheap material. It was easy to hide yourself if you just changed clothes and make-up – she thought. “You scared Fairy!”
Ran’En laughed out loud and lifted her sheathed sword to stop Zidian wrapping around her body, so instead it curled around her sheathed sword. She could hear Jiang Wanyin coming from behind since she rounded the corner.
“Sect leaders” she chuckled. “Pleasure to meet you again in such a short time.”
“Who are you?” Jiang Wanyin yelled angrily. She lifted an eyebrow curiously turning to the man. “Zhu Ran’En, the imperial princess died two months ago.”
“Died?!” she cackled as she was now facing Jiang Wanyin. Her lips pulled into a sneer. “They still lie even when they beat me… I am still here…”
“You’re using resentful energy for cultivation” Jiang Cheng replied but now he took a step back from the woman.
Zhu Ran’En pulled out a seal and showed it to him. The small stone badge was carefully carved, the characters ‘princess’ emerged from the flat surface of the stone. She watched his eyes widen before she hid her last reminder of her title back into her sleeve. To her surprise Zidian loosened and let go of her sword.
“Sect leader Jiang, I advise you to stay out of my business… these are royal matters” she said coldly before she jumped up onto the roof of the building and disappeared from their sight.
She was supposed to be locked up in Qi mansion waiting for the emperor to call her back one day. However, she had no time to wait for so long if she wanted to save her little sister from the evil clutches of her uncle and her cousin.
Jiang Cheng’s PoV.
A few months back, Jiang Wanyin noticed Imperial guards appearing in the town and other towns nearby. They were asking people about a woman, the drawing they were showing to the citizens was drawn with attention. The sect leader now knew who the woman was. The imperial princess was a traitor after she got caught in the crime of money laundering. Everyone was informed that she was executed publicly in the capital, however, if she was executed, why were imperial guards asking around about her?
People were spreading rumors about her but if someone would really think over everything, with the princess’ righteous past, it would be easy to smell something was fishy about this whole thing. And Jiang Wanyin’s nose was similar to a hound. After meeting the imperial princess in real life, he could tell that there was more than what meets the eye and he was keen on finding out the truth. That is how he found himself in front of Qi mansion in Yangsu.
The building was looking like a prison or a robust castle with the dark brown and black colors and stone walls. Thick stone pillars held the roof while there were no windows visible from the front entrance. The wall stretching around the mansion could be around six cun* wide and thirty chi* high.
*[1 cun (寸)= 5 cm; 1 chi 尺 = 0,5 meters]
The doors were closed but there were no guards in front of the mansion and when Jiang Cheng pushed on the wings of the door they easily opened up giving him a view of the insides of the mansion. He could hear some folks talk about how no one entered the mansion since the princess’ arrival to spend her exile in there. He walked inside but when he was far enough inside, the doors closed behind him and as much as he tried, he couldn’t open them again.
“Jiang sect leader… It is a pleasure to meet you in my humble abode” came the familiar melodic voice of the princess. Jiang Wanyin turned around in a blur, his eyes spitting lightning as Zedian unfurled from his hand ready to strike. The princess stood nonchalantly in front of him, in the usual embroidered rich hanfu all the royal family members wore, her figure petite yet something dark was encircling her form as the smile stretched on her beautiful face. Jiang Cheng had to admit that the woman was beautiful, very intimidating yet beautiful. She tilted her head to the side and turned sideways, lifting her arm inviting him further inside. “Would you like to have tea? Lili just arrived back from the market with a new batch of herbs and teas.”
“What are you doing?” Jiang Cheng hissed angrily at the woman who’s features looked like they were frozen into stone. She turned back to him fully, her lips ever so slowly returned into a neutral line before she spoke up.
“If you’re here, you already know exactly what awaits you once you dig yourself into my case” Zhu Ran’En said coldly. “Imperial guards already noticed you entering my mansion, you got involved in imperial affairs. Now come, let’s have some tea.”
The sect leader narrowed his eyes at her but followed her inside silently.
To be continued…

Index Post (updated 11.12.20)
So, I feel like some housekeeping is in order. Hence: an Index Post!
I have this organized into three main categories: Tolkien, The Untamed, and Other (film, art, books, games, life, etc.). Items are ordered from oldest to newest. The number of asterisks indicates length. “[reblog+]” indicates that the original post is not my own, but I added thoughts with a reblog (because I’m bad with Tumblr etiquette). Ultra short pieces are grouped near the bottom of each section.
Post links below the cut.
Additionally! I also have almost 100 in-progress posts in my drafts. I need to finish some, but I think at this point I need some guidance on where to go next, once I finish project 1 and write 3 more prompt ficlets. This is where you come in! I’d like to open my ask box up to reader suggestions on what to work on next. Go to THIS POST for a list of upcoming posts to choose from.
