Alex: Y’know, there’s a lotta handsome fish in the sea.
Scott: Yeah, thanks, but I’m . . .
Hank: I thought you had such a good time with that Maximoff boy?
Scott: Yeah, uh, right now I’m looking for just female fishes exclusively. Pietro was just a–
Ororo: So you’re bi?
Scott: No, no, ‘Ro. I’m not, I’m definitely not. I’m not bi, Hank.
Hank: That’s okay.
Scott: I’m not.
Hank: I love you.
Scott: Can we just move on from this conversation?
Alex: I love my bi son.

you know what's really bullshit? that in apocalypse, we don't get to see hank mourn alex. obviously it makes sense that the focus is on scott's grief, but all that hank says about alex's death is in response to peter, and it's "alex was closest to the blast". HELLO???????? THEY HAD KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS THEY WERE CLOSE FRIENDS????????? fox you cannot make me believe that alex's childish teasing in the sixties means that they weren't close and you can NOT make me believe that hank didn't mourn the loss of one of the only friends he had left.

What are your OTPs (Marvel wise)?
It’s about to be gay as fuck. Go grab a snack and a drink cuz this might be a long one 🥴
SteveTony/Stony: The main one of course. I don’t have to explain why.
Cherik: Lowkey paved the way for gay angst like Stony.
BuckyTony/Winteriron: Wasn’t hooked on it at first until I read their fics. We were robbed as usual 🙄
Stuckony: Kinda ironic considering I don’t ship Stucky but I love tf out of this. Idk 😂
SamBucky: Literally marriage material. I was hooked instantly.
RhodeyTony/Iron Husbands: Don’t really ship them as much as the others but it’s still cute nonetheless.
AgentAnt/WooLang: Jimmy Woo deserved a boyfriend. And that is Scott MF Lang. Honestly had more chemistry with Woo than Hope imo 🤷🏾‍♀️
ClintCoulson/Shield Husbands: Really wished we had a scene with those two but that’s never stopped me before.
Spideypool: Andrew Garfield Spider-Man though. Just to be clear…
ThorQuill: Two totally jacked space gods with daddy issues and dead mothers? Yeah sign me up. Also their scenes in IW/EG>>>
FrostStrange: I pray to God that the MCU would provide us with some material with my magic boys but knowing them…
HawkAnt: Shipped them as a joke at first…I don’t think it’s a joke anymore 💀 also they would be very fucking chaotic together I’m not ready
ThorBruce: Ragnorok is all I have to say.
Hulkeye: Never was a big fan of Brutasha/Clintasha so idk where the hell this came from. I don’t think they ever really had a scene together either of you don’t count the hammer scene from AoU 😭But the more I thought about it, the more adorable they came to be. Especially if Deaf!Clint was involved. Also why do I ship Clint with so many people? 😭
PowerFist: Netflix screwed me over big time. I’m still not over it. Hopefully they’ll get introduced in the MCU. Hopefully…
Fratt: Same as the previous one. Still mad. Also they kind of remind me of Butcher and Hughie from The Boys.
Halex/McSummers: The Hulkeye parallels are so insane to me. Hank deserved better than Raven tbh.
SilverCyclops: Same thing as HawkAnt. Those idiots would be so cute and so chaotic.
Yup. That’s about it.

Alex Summers x Hank McCoy
Babe wake up I have a new hyperfixation with X-men!!! This is gonna be multiple parts and is inspired by Betty by Taylor Swift hence the title so I recommend listening to that song and reading the lyrics!
Pairing: McSummers ( Alex Summers and Hank McCoy)
Timeline: Highschool AU but still with the cast of X-men first class
Summary: While professor X is helping everyone control and use their mutations an unlikely pair find comfort within the mansion walls.
During the long days of training there was hardly a moment of silence in the mansion, between Sean’s actual screaming and Mystique insistent pestering of her brother no one ever had to wonder if there were people inhabiting the house. They spent almost every moment together, the team. This was the most socializing Alex had done in years and it was draining at first. When the summer was just beginning he barely said anything that wasn’t a sarcastic remark or a scoff. This is so stupid.
Get out of my head Charles.
Yes Hank you’re still a bozo!
No Mystique that skin doesn’t make you look fat but it does help you look like a blueberry if that’s what you were going for.
She screamed about that last one for at least 3 days telling anyone who’d listen how small Alex’s feet looked.
By mid July they were moving better, each person had a role and they could help each other out in case they ever needed to. They weren’t exactly a well oiled machine but it would do if they ever got caught up. Everyone had spent a couple days on bedrest and luckily it was Hanks turn to play nurse with Alex after Sean accidentally dropped him while testing out his new wings.
He was as the first to run out to the field and apologize about how there must be something wrong with the wings design. Alex looked like he couldn’t care less about his apology he just wanted to lie down or throw up or both.
“You should really let me help you back to the house. Head injuries are really dangerous there’s a number of things that could go wrong like internal bleeding, aneurisms-” Hank began
“Well are you going to help or are you just going to list out all the shitty things that could happen” Alex said while hunched over his head began to spin the moment he stood up but it got worse as he spoke.
“Uh. yeah sorry. Just hold onto my arm and walk slow. Sean get his other arm”
Slowly they made their way back to Alex’s room. It was not as easy as originally thought with Alex needing frequent breaks and his constant grumbling. When they finally got him to his room he dropped onto the bed trying to sleep immediately.
“Actually Alex you shouldn’t sleep, just in case you have a concussion...” Hank whispered. He stood by the door making no further attempt to enter his room.
“Wonderful.” muffled by the pillow resting on top of Alex’s face. This is the longest they’ve been forced to interact. Hank wants to leave and return to the comfort of the lab where there are no rude comments or handsome boys in need of assistance but part of him feels responsible for what happened and it wouldn’t be right to just leave him there.
“We have some pain killers downstairs. Try not to fall asleep while I'm gone.” He says. Before Alex can even register what was said he's alone. The only reminder that Hank was ever here was his smell which Alex only now realizes he can recognize. He always thought it might've been someone else but now he's sure that it's Hank that smells that good. Not that he'll ever tell him it's just a nice distraction from his head. He hears footsteps approaching his room again and forces his thoughts on Hanks smell all the way out of his head.
“Took you long enough Bozo”
“I don’t suppose you’d appreciate it if I threw these out the window then?” he replies
“You wouldn’t. Now hand them over” Alex says sitting up and reaching out toward Hank who was still not through the door of his room.
“What’s the magic word?” he says laughing lightly at Alex’s grabby hands. He never had the upper hand in this dynamic making this the most pleasant time.
“You’re kidding...god dude! just please” Alex mumbles out still reaching toward him. Underneath the teasing Hank was watching Alex delicately to see if he was really in need of help.
“Make sure you drink all the water and when you feel better, come to the lab. You’re natural body temperature should burn these off pretty quickly so when you come in I'll start an IV” he says as he hands him a glass of water and painkillers, leaving the snacks on the nightstand.
Their hands brush against each others momentarily before Hank makes his way out of the room. It’s too suffocating to be this close to him.
Hank walks briskly down the corridor and hopes he doesn't run into anyone on the way to the lab. His cheeks were definitely ablaze from the small interaction with Alex and he knew he'd never hear the end of it if anyone saw. He really needed to let off some steam, only seeing the same people everyday for weeks was starting to take a toll. Obviously he knew about his sexuality before Alex was welcomed to the school but things were different with the blond around.
Later, as Alex was hooked up to his IV Hank sat in his chair looking at something under a microscope.
“What are you working on? New wings for Sean I hope” Alex questioned
Without looking up,
“No actually, I’m trying to help Raven. She asked if I could make her something that would help keep her physical appearance normal without altering her mutant abilities. It’s quite interesting really, her cells regenerate like crazy”
Alex’s head turns to the side slightly. “Why would she want something like that?” He asks
There’s a pause.
“Some people with physical mutations just want to look like everyone else. She spends a lot of energy disguising herself, this should help her be stronger.” he says jotting something down
Hanks feet shift uncomfortably in his shoes, he wishes Alex would leave the lab so he could take them off.
Alex doesn’t reply immediately and instead chooses to stare at Hanks side profile as he writes.
it never occurred to him how hard it might've been to hide as kids, when you didn't know any better than to be yourself. He was too preoccupied with trying not accidentally kill one of his foster parents to care about how he looked, then again he didn't turn blue.
his gaze shifts towards Hanks feet and then back up like he was caught doing something wrong even if Hank had barely looked over toward him.
"Is that why you always wear shoes even though we've already seen your feet?" Alex asks
Seeing the look on Hanks face, he immediately wishes he didn't. It winces slightly as he begins to chew on the inside of his cheek. Alex really feels like an asshole now.
"I didn't mean for that to sound bad but you should be comfortable around us, at least as your...friends" He spoke trying to sound compassionate but it ends up sounding unsure, like he doesn't know if he wants Hank to be comfortable around him at all.
"we're not friends Alex, You make that clear everyday." he says finally making eye contact
There's a heavy pause and Alex's mouth hangs slightly open. his first instinct is to fight back and tell Hank how wrong he is. Once that feeling subsides he realizes he's right. They don't talk, or help each other, the most interacting is when Hank reminds Alex to eat and he calls him a Bozo.
When the pause is over Hank breaks first, looking back towards his research.
"Maybe we're not friends but you shouldn't hide from us. Especially not me, I've had enough shame for 3 lifetimes. They're a part of you, even if you don't like it. I'm sure girls would love to see you do the monkey bars upside down" he smiles.
"Yeah I'm sure they would love that. That along with my habit of kissing guys should really seal the deal" Hank says with a scoff.
This shut’s Alex’s mouth immediately. There wasn’t anything he could say to make the situation any less awkward. He leans back in the chair, looking over at the clock. The IV was almost done and then he was cleared to lay down. This whole day felt too long, there was too much to think about and Alex preferred to flee when feelings were involved.
Hank didn’t stop working for another 20 minutes going back between his microscope and notes. When he was done he turned to Alex to help remove the IV.
“You should be good to lay down now, it’s almost dinner you should eat if you can” He said in a low voice. It had only just occurred to Alex that Hank always reminds him of mealtimes, him and no one else. Like he needed that help, like a prisoner. Anger flared up inside of him like a familiar friend.
“I don’t need you to tell me when to eat and shit, I can take care of that myself thanks” Alex cuts
He wishes he didn’t but the words were already out of his mouth with a scowl to match. His arm was stinging, his head was still fuzzy, and he couldn’t handle the way Hank was avoiding his gaze. That’s not what Hank meant he just knew that Alex was still convinced he was still in prison sometimes especially after a hard day. Hank makes a point to not speak again in their brief time, when he’s alone in the lab again he takes off his shoes and cries.
Things were different after that night. Hank was convinced that Alex was weirded out by his random confession and Alex didn’t want to make anything worse so they just decided to stop talking all together. Not that they were exactly besties before, but now they were practically strangers. Weeks went by with this dynamic. One would accidentally make eye contact the other would quickly leave the room. No one said anything if they noticed and figured that they had gotten into another fight or something and it would blow over,
Hank had finally finished his formula for Raven. it had taken entirely too much time to make due to the complexity of her genes but he enjoyed the challenge nonetheless. The only thing now was to test it. Being the good scientist he was, he decided to use himself as the test subject. It should only take a moment to work and then he could go out and show everyone his feet, which was not something he would normally be fond in doing. But he trusted his theories and was confident in his abilities.
Alex was the last person to show up in front of the lab door. There was a chorus yelling out for Hank to open the door.
“What happened?!Why is everyone yelling?” he asked
Darwin was first to answer, “ We heard a bunch of noise from the lab but Hank won’t open the door and it sounds like someone's in there with him.”
Turning to the Professor for answers was no help, he looked like he was in great pain, presumably reading Hanks thoughts.
Alex’s breath caught in his throat as he heard a series of painful cries behind the door and joined the rest of his friends in trying to coax Hank out of the room. Something was very wrong and it made Alex’s stomach turn in a way he hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Come on Bozo open the door!”
“Hank please! We can help, just let us in” said Mystique. Followed by yet another round of pleas.
Nothing.
The odd shower of noises continued and their cries fell on deaf ears as Hank continued to ignore them. Finally Charles put his hand up effectively silencing everyone in the corridor.
“I’m okay. Just go to bed, I’m sorry for waking everyone up...I’m sorry” Spoke Hank through the titanium door. Everyone looked at each other before shifting toward the door once more.
“We’re not leaving until we can see that your okay” Angel spoke softly.
“Come on Hanky show us that face!” Said Sean laughing lightly
“Really guys, I'm fine I just want to be alone for now.” Something was off in his voice.
Even as he tried to sound reassuring and calm there was an edge. Alex knew that voice very well, the one used for hiding, for when you’re terrified and no one can know. He had used that voice with Scott when they were five and his foster dad came home drunk looking for a fight, he used it again when he was 15 and someone threatened his life for the first time, he used it everyday since he found out about his mutation. He used it three weeks ago in the lab when Hank had gently reminded him to eat.
Hank, who was as dorky and kind as they come, was horrified in this moment and Alex didn’t like it at all. Waiting for everyone to clear out Alex stood, standing, unmoving with his back pressed to the door. He waited, listened, for any noise that would indicate Hank was hurt.
“Hank. Everyone went to sleep. It’s just me, open the door.” Alex said in his kindest voice.
It didn’t sound like Alex at all frankly. Hank had never heard him call him by his name or sound so sincere.
“No. Something happened and I need to fix it before I come out” he replied
“Yeah and exactly how long will that take? I can wait here all night but I’m not leaving from this spot.” He replied, sliding down the wall to sit in front of the door.
If he was gonna be here all night he could a least get comfortable. They made small talk on other things besides what was goin on. It was jagged at first, they interrupted each other and sometimes Hank wouldn’t respond cuz he was too busy. Slowly they talked more freely, they talked about anything they could think of. Like how Alex was gonna try out for the football team in the fall, Hank in delirious exhaustion promised he’d be at every game. Alex fell asleep just as daylight started to seep into the sky after thinking about Hank and football.
He did in fact, stay where he was. The sun was rising though the stain glass window when he decided to get up and stretch.
“You know Bozo sleeping on the floor isn’t exactly doing wonders for my back so this solution better show up quickly.” He said stiffly. Despite this, his night was pleasant enough. They were talking, like actually talking in a way neither of them has the pleasure of doing in too long. It was simple, and so human.
“You didn’t have to stay. And you’re right, sleeping on the floor is not very fun but you get used it.” Hank replied, “ I’ve spent a lot of nights in this lab..”
Before the mood turns sour Alex smiles and replies,
“Yeah well maybe next time you don’t have to do it alone, I make great company when I’m trying to annoy someone.”
That day Alex brings Hank food, his favorite snacks. Each time he turns the other way when Hank comes out to grab it. And they go on talking through the door. Each sentence flowing out easier than the last, each pause less tense. There was something about Alex’s lack of social skills that refreshed the brunet, there was no lying or hidden meanings just the words Alex spoke. On the second night Alex brought Hank a full meal, he was “starving” apparently.
Alex turns back toward the door when he thinks it’s safe and catches what looks like a furry blue hand retrieving the plate. His mind can’t keep track of al the thoughts racing through his head as he tries to convince himself that what he just saw wasn’t real. And if it was real then what exactly was hidden away behind the walls of Hanks sanctuary. How could he even go about asking about what he just saw? Would Hank tell him the truth?
He settled for his usual, blunt casual.
“You mind telling my why you’re hiding a giant blue.... uh,” what even could he call that hand he saw? “ ..beast in your lab? Anything you’d like to share with the class?” He asks still facing the now closed door.
Hank backed away from the door slowly. His pulse was getting faster and faster as he found it hard to remain calm. This would ruin everything. There was no recovering this and there was no way Alex would even look at him like this.
“You said you wouldn’t turn around until you heard the door close! Why didn’t you wait? God you just.... just leave” He angrily pushed away the food, he felt like he was going to be sick.
Alex glared at his own reflection in the door. This is the part he isn’t good at. He wants to curse and scream and bang on the door like a child.
What a way to treat a friend.
“Leave? After all this you want me to just walk away? Not a chance. Now come out of that fucking lab before I burn it!” It was Alex’s turn to be angry. Hank felt assured that his door was locked but slowly realized Alex really could melt his way through the door. It was now or never, and if it were up to him it would be never.
“If you come in,” his voice was smaller now,” you have to promise me something”
There was a pause where Alex took a deep breath.
“Promise me you won’t run away.”
Fuck.
“You’ve asked me to do one of the things I do best. Sure, I won’t run away.”
The door opened a sliver, a crack, and finally a blue hand grabbed Alex’s forearm and pulled him though the threshold.
At first all he saw was blue.
The most brilliant shades of blue were everywhere, he couldn’t tell where Hank started and ended. For a moment, he looked like a blue flame, burning bright holes into Alex’s vision.
But when the blur cleared into crystal, he saw Hanks eyes, dazzling and yellow, but still his own. They were bright and unsure now, tears streaking down his face. He hadn’t even realized he begun to cry until he heard the tears drip onto the floor. There was nothing but the sound of breathing and tears.
Hank wishes Alex would say something and get it over with. But he promised he wouldn’t run away, he promised. They begin the waiting game now, seeing who will break and make the first move.
It’s Alex. Reaching out to touch the fur where Hanks shoulder meets his neck. Its soft, and thin. There’s a heat radiating off his body and he can feel it now as their skin touches. Like predator and prey they study each other, the movements, the heartbeats, looking for a sign of danger. Hank studies Alex’s eyes as they roam over his body.
The moment breaks again when Hank realizes how vulnerable he feels now in the open. He assumes Alex will have questions.
“It was an accident. This was supposed to disguise my mutation but instead it enhanced the genes that made me have mutations in the first place. If I can find out what went wrong I can fix it, have it return me to normal. This is why I didn’t want you to come in here earlier.” He moves away now, pretending to look at something on the other side of the room.
Alex still can’t wrap his head around the fact that it’s Hank talking to him.
“I thought I was a freak before but this is something much worse. If I can’t fix this I’ll be stuck in this room forever. There’s no way people will want me around like this... I just wanted....to not be me for a bit.” It worked he thought bitterly.
“I made you a promise. Sadly my little brother Scott says that people who break promises are poopoo heads and I have no intention of getting that put on the back of my football jersey.” He laughs, it comes out a little rough but it’s a laugh.
The thought of that makes Hank smile a bit. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad if Alex as here to help.
They spend the next three days in the lab working. Well, one of them working, one of them fetching snacks and talking about how boring this all was. Despite that, he still listened and asked questions with intensity. If Hank didn’t know any better he would say Alex was enjoying the science of it all.
After that they were inseparable. Everything happened together. If he wasn’t training Alex was sitting in the chair just right of Hank in the lab. And Hank let him. He integrated himself into Hanks routine with ease only making miner changes. Instead of staying inside all day after dinner they walked around outside waiting for the sun to go down. During breakfast they sat together Alex always grabbing food off of Hanks plate. On the weekends they drive through the town with the windows down blasting music too loud. It’s safe to say they were obsessed with it all. The feelings of new. New everything, like the sun hadn’t looked this bright three weeks ago. New gazes, lingering in the haze of sunset and those calm eyes in the late evenings hidden behind books. Newness seeped onto their tongues, on their fingertips, settled in their cheeks and the lining of their stomachs. It was intoxicating.
Everyone noticed but never said anything. There was still a world outside the castle gates that didn’t take kindly to boys who spent so much time together.
They hardly remembered a time where they didn’t meet up before breakfast and only separate before bed at night.
Almost like falling asleep there was no exact moment when Hank realized he was falling for Alex. He remembers the way his eyes would look in the sun, the golden hairs that trailed Alex’s neck, the way after a long day Alex’s words would slur from exhaustion, the way he had a special name for Hank even if it was mean. That’s the way it went, and if he could remember that one moment when it went from crush to love then it would blend into the million other moments when Alex made his head spin.
Alex however, feared this new thing and kept every memory like an oath. He memorized it, repeating the small touches and laughs over until they were burned clearly into his head. He remembered the exact moment he realized that he wanted Hank. To be near him, to be the one who made him laugh, to be the one who kept him company, no matter the consequences. He wanted it all and he only knew the night of his 17th birthday, when they hadn’t talked for 3 weeks and Hank showed up hammered and still as beautiful as ever. Only then did Alex realize he didn’t know anything but how much he missed Hank.

Alex (about Hank): I don’t wanna be too graphic, but I want him to cum in my throat, snap my neck, and hide my body.
Alex: Is that too far?

These ones had very limited fanart but I’m awesome so I found some-let’s go!
1. Silvercyclops ( Peter x Scott )
I actually like this one! I don’t LOVE it because I guess Scott is a little serious for Peter but I like it. They’re both a similar age, they’re both dumbasses and they’re both at least bi. Also a Silvercyclops roommate fic would be absolutely pog. They don’t interact a lot so there’s not a lot to talk about when it comes to movie scenes but I’ll say 7/10
2. Mcsummers ( Hank x Alex )
I like this one a lot actually. I don’t really like Hank a whole lot and that kind of affects my view on the ship but I think if they had gotten together hank might’ve been a better person? Idk but this ship is cute because of all the teasing Alex directs at Hank. Overall a 6/10, I like it but I just don’t think Hank is good enough for Alex
( I assume these are the ships you were referring to )
⚠️ removing all fanart as I’ve realised it’s not my place to use other people’s content even if I’m not claiming it as mine ⚠️

Ok, you got me curious. What are your headcannons for Alex and Hank? -btw really nice to see new Mcsummers content-
I been waiting for this moment my whole life-
So I won't dig into the depth of too much just touch base. Cause I would love to draw for some of these and show some of these situations instead of just explain them. Also shall touch on what is happening right now in my little universe bubble.
First of-
Alex
My interpretation of Alex is sort of a mixture between the comics and the Fox movies. So this means-
Alex and Scott's parents passed away in a helicopter crash, both a young Alex and Scott had to witness the flames and put into foster care. So here is your scoop of PTSD
Alex is the older brother in my interpretation and just for a sake of some kind of timeline- Alex went into foster care, at some point the 'accident' happen and he was jailed for it. Lead into X-men first class, and then drafted. Once he was out of the military Alex comes and adopts Scott out of the foster care system. Being his baby brothers support and parental figure. During this time and bleeding into apocalypse Alex is working on college courses.
Eventually- after litteraly dying and coming back cause multiverse- Alex will end up with a PH.D in Geophysics like in the comics.
Current Alex is working on his emotions, although having tamed his flaring temper quite a bit and is much more laid back he is still working through the trauma of his parents death, Foster care system, death of his friends like Sean and Drawin, time in the military, trying to be the best brother he can he and oh- Apparently he died?! Because He did another spur of the moment decision???
In summary. Alex needs a hug.
But he shall become a Gym couch and Professor of Geophysics at Xavier's
Also hah- big gay feelings. "I died, I am some how alive- might as well confess to Bozo"
Hank
Pretty much the Hank we know from the Fox movies but touch and go on some things
He doing his best
Hank works off and on, on a permint cure. It's not something he can easily let go. Being litteraly Beast isn't exactly ideal..
Professor of Biology and Mutation research at Xavier's
Hank definitely has a thing for pretty blonds with blue eyes. Of course Raven is pretty in her normal skin as well.
The death of Raven, Alex- Jean- it's just been a lot on him and of course everyone else.
Hank especially felt some time of responsibility over Scott slightly. Alex is gone and he brought Scott here for HIS help and now were else is the kid post to go-?
Things just got worse- Peter is gone and well Charles is on the panic after what has happen so many already. Oh hey Alex and Raven are back- ALEX AND RAVEN ARE BACK-
Hank isn't good at expressing feelings- neither is Alex, but Alex is on a 'hell with it' trip and is the one to open up about his feelings for 15 dam years or- 20? Wtf is age when you been dead for a bit
Eventually it's Alex that convinces him to push aside even a temporary cure.
Both
Alex is a sap, like- sure he is crude and the worst boyfriend of all time. But he is also the sweetest and is the one talk Hank down from his panic sessions and is also the one the threaten the life of anyone who wants to comment on Hank's appearance
Alex is also the one who gets Hank to leave the mansion time to time. As much as Hank hates being in public, Alex is happy to at least convince him date nights are not the same surrounded by 100+ hormone driven mutant childern
Alex has a lot of weak moments now that he doesn't constantly hide it behind anger. But that's ok cause Hank is happy to listen and talk or even just be a comforting presence to a very hurt Havok.
Hank was more then thrilled to watch Alex finish out his degree. Alex isn't stupid, he never was. He just chooses to use his brain more then his anger now. Which Hank and Scott can not be more proud off.
Hank only has a proper bedtime because Alex will actually force him to bed or so help him-
Alex is not at all afarid of public affection, Hank suffers for it
Alrightyyyy
Hope you enjoyed my taste of some headcannons- of course I got plenty more but likeee I would love to draw some and such. I didn't really consider myself a ask blog but like--!!! I will happily do so ;; so if you got ask for them I be happy to draw it!

Now that destiel is canon (as depressing that shit is), here's to hoping:
Stony (I don't care how are they going to do it. Multiverse or whatever. Just make it happen 🔫🔫);
Sambucky (Sambucky show, I'm looking at you. Looking at you so hard);
Johnlock (D O I T BBC YOU COWARDS);
Arthur is miraculously still alive and he and Merlin run off into the sunset 👁️👄👁️👌;
Cherik. Like, actual confirmation that it happened, not some half-assed "hey wanna play chess";
Alex Summers is alive (THERE WAS NO BODY! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE HE'S DEAD). Halex/McSummers optional, but recommended;
And probably some other straight ships like peggysous
can somehow be canon (and less disastrous).

Pairing: McSummers ( Hank McCoy and Alex Summers)
Timeline: Highschool AU but with the X-men first class crew
Summary: As summer ends and school begins Alex and Hank realize there’s just some things you can’t talk about. Or at least, not outside the comfort of your room.
It started small, this gorgeous thing blooming. It started almost invisible.
Eyes. Longing and gazing at empty doorways. Flittering shut beneath the gibbus moon shinning though the window. Eyes boring into one another in a moment of vulnerability in the sun. Slowly their eyes began to talk, saying things not dared to be spoken aloud. They spoke of love, of peace, of companionship.
Hands. Slowly drawing patterns in the margins of notebooks. Reaching with greed for their perfect match. Hands slowly inching toward one another in the complete darkness. Hands touching things that did not belong to them, the back of a neck, the curve of a lip, the tops of a knee, and the backs of another hand.
Lips. Speaking in slow hushed whispers turned to love poems. Little sonnets littered their memories. Lips, speaking in tones reserved for only one another. Their twitching, biting, kissing lips made dreams come to life in the sweltering heat of the summer.
Hank and Alex were in love. There was not stopping or slowing it down. They bloomed gorgeously under the dazzling blue sky. They were enthralled, entranced, enticed by one another.
That’s the most dangerous part of all. In this love, they had forgotten that the world would rather crush young love than let it grow. And they didn’t even care. Not until Alex stopped looking at Hank in the hallways, stopped kissing him in the car, stopped holding his hand.
They all new school was going to be a new experience. This was the first year that they would attend high school together. No more lonely lunches or odd looks. They had fears but more importantly they had each other and that counts for something.
On the morning of the first day Charles made sure that everyone's favorites were on the breakfast table. Waffles for Darwin, Greek yogurt with fruit for Mystique, a glass of orange juice for Angel ( she was trying out for the cheerleading squad and couldn’t stomach a full meal), an omelet and sausage for Alex, avocado toast and eggs for Hank, and a full ice cream sundae for Sean complete with cherries on top. The more time they spent with each other the easier it was to operate as a family so they easily chatted amongst themselves.
“Hank your shaking the table” commented Angel
“Sorry... just nervous I guess” He replied
“Aw don’t worry Hanky all the teachers will love you. Kids too when they can see that trick where you open a beer with your feet” Sean smiled brightly revealing his cheeks full of banana and chocolate syrup.
“Close your mouth Sean, god. He’s right Hank there’s nothing to worry about because we’ll be going together” Mystique said. She smiled at the way she always does, with a smile that makes him feel special.
Everyone had a soft spot for the tall boy especially Alex. Though he wasn't as good with his words so he settled on putting a warm hand on Hanks shaking knee. He locked eyes for only a moment before Hank looked away and began eating again slowly.
Alex loved that. It was simple and meaningful and he didn’t have to talk for Hank to understand what he meant. He loved that Hank blushed every time no matter what. He still looked at Alex like he put all the stars in the sky and even named a couple in Hanks honor. There was only one other person who looked at Alex with such adoration and he was still home with their parents. Two was enough for the rest of his life.
Charles had spoken to everyone the night before about what they could and couldn’t do at school to remain as inconspicuous as possible. This meant no flying, morphing, screeching, climbing, laser pointing, or spitting fire balls no matter the circumstances. Everyone rolled their eyes but agreed and fled the room to get ready for bed.
Alex and Hank stayed behind enjoying the dying fire. The fall weather had crept up on them and the house had a forever draft.
They didn’t speak immediately simply sat and looked at each other.
There was something gnawing at Hank and he chose to pick at his sleeves for a bit.
Alex didn’t want to interrupt his thought process so he let Hanks mind work through what he wanted to say. After some time Hank turned to fully face Alex and grabbed hold of his hands.
“I know that in school we can’t be how we normally are,” he pulled up their hands to emphasize, "like this. But I wanted to know if our promise still stands”
Confusion swarms Alex’s brain for a moment. Then he hears Hanks voice in his head
“You have to promise not to run away”
For a moment he just let’s the words play in his head. When he’s done he’s consumed with emotion. Flashes of their life together swim across his head. Hank cheering for him at the football games, them graduating, their first apartment, on vacation. Storybook images of their life flip through the front of his head tinted in rosy pinks and blues. He sees their life, together. It's enough to scare him away but he's never been shy from a fight. He fights the urge to flee and it's replaced with an even stronger urge to stay.
He pulls Hanks face toward his own, close enough to kiss but he doesn't.
Instead he says, "wouldn't dream about running away from you"
Locked into each other's embrace they make no attempt to move.
When their lips finally do meet it makes their heads spin. All the wanting and needing pushing and pulling having and taking is there to hold them together. It's the kind of kiss that erases every thing else from the world leaving only the name of each other. Their breaths are in sync, their mouths a writers quill uncovering the hidden secrets of one another.
They kiss and kiss and kiss until it's time to sleep. Their final kiss is gentle and quiet right outside of Hanks bedroom door in the dim lighting. Goodnight.
They dream of the other.
Alex is in a field of flowers with long flowy hair and his smile is so wide Hank swears it's gonna swallow him. It's raining and he's reaching toward Hank in an attempt to dance.
Hank is driving the car. His face, serious and concentrated. Until Alex turns up the music and even in his sleep he can hear their favorite song playing.
Oh, please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
I wanna hold you hand
When they wake, it's the first day of school. They all walk in together and no one sits alone at lunch. Most of their classes are the same, except for Hank who’s in advanced calculus and chemistry and Alex who’s in advanced physics. Hank was so proud of Alex he made him a cake with a physics equation written in messy green icing.
The first three weeks go well. Angel made the squad, Alex is quarterback, and Hank joined the scholastic decathlon.
Hank and Alex spend every second they can together outside of the school walls. Hank waits for Alex and Angel after school during practice, he pretends to read as he watches his boyfriend from the stands. Alex can feel Hanks eyes on him and puts in the extra effort to show off on good days. On the drive home Angel lays out in the back and controls the songs while the boys focus on getting home quickly.
Each day is a long waiting game. Just one more class until practice, just one more car ride, one more minute. Time slows and stills in the waking hours of day and they can’t wait to be home again. Though it does help to make eye contact in the halls and have silent conversations at lunch. At the end of long days they curl into each other on the couch and read and study and think to themselves “I could get used to this” And they do. They fall into yet another routine much like in the summer.
For Alex's first game, everyone shows up even Charles. Mystique and Sean made a banner and Hank puts the team colors on his cheeks. The banner reads "Go number 12!" and right underneath with a small arrow "AND ANGEL" with little wings. Darwin is wearing only team colors and has a blue 12 painted in his forehead. They fit right into the crowd, their little family.
When the team runs out everyone cheers. Other players had a couple people there to support them the odd parent or two waving small flags of pride. But not Alex, he's got a whole team himself and his smile matches perfectly with his new shiny uniform. There was something so mundane about it all, even if it was pretend the group enjoyed these wonderful moments of normalcy.
After the game Charles took them all to eat to celebrate.
While they waited Hank decided to excuse himself to the bathroom. He heard footsteps while washing his hands but thought nothing of it as the school was full of people. As he turned to leave he bumped right into two gigantic linebackers. They stood shoulder to shoulder staring down at Hank which was hard considering he had a growth spurt this summer and was pushing 6′2.
“Sorry, didn’t see you there” He tried to move past them once more only to be shoved into the sink. It didn’t hurt as much as they probably wanted but Hank gave them the benefit of the doubt.
“Freshman better learn his place, don’t pretend you didn’t see us” Says the redhead.
“No but I can definitely smell you both” Replies Hank. They didn’t scare him, he knew he could probably kill both of them with his bare hands and teeth but he was supposed to be a normal teenager so he didn’t say that.
“Fellas, isn’t this a little redundant? You rough up the nerd, he trembles in fear and coughs up his lunch money, you guys get fatter and the nerd stay’s hungry. Kind of elementary don’t you think?”
Before they speak he moves away from the sink and heads toward them with his eyes trained on the exact point where their shoulders meet. This time he actually does get through the human wall. With a shy smile. Alex was gonna be so proud of him for standing up for himself.
He walks into the dusky night to see his friends all waiting by the car. Alex has just showered and small beads of water cling to the ends of his golden hair. His eyes sparkle as they land on Hank who returns a bright smile in his direction.
“Long line?” Darwin asks opening the door for Angel.
“No actually it was empty until Chad and Dick showed up trying to intimidate me out of my lunch money. But don’t worry I handled it just fine” He says.
Alex stops mid step to turn and look at his boyfriend while everyone continues to get into the car.
“What exactly did you do?” he questions
“I just told them they smelled bad and were being childish and left. I could’ve taken them easily but this is my favorite sweater.” It was Alex’s.
“Dude! You called them smelly and immature in the same breath? Classic” Sean high fived Hank who was looking at Alex expecting him to get in the car next to him.
“You okay?” He asks
“Yeah...just yeah I’m fine let’s just go” Alex says sliding into the seat. As they drive away their hands meet below the view of the window. The sun is gone by now but they still haven’t move their hands. Alex chews on his cheek as he thinks of the rumors surrounding initiation for the team. Every new player must beat up anyone of the teams choosing. There’s only two rules. One, the person being beat must be in their underwear. Two, you can only stop when the person being beat passes out, or pukes.
That night he has a nightmare. The team is there and they are dogpiling someone in a circle. He can’t see who it is but he starts running. It takes him forever to reach them but the screaming gets louder with each step. When he finally breaks through Hank is lying in the middle curled into a ball in only his underwear. Alex feels a rage so deep he imagines torching the entire team to ashes. He doesn’t though. He can’t. Hank is there and he’s filthy with dirt and blood. Sweat sticks his hair to his forehead and tears are running down his cheeks. They look so clean Alex wants to lick them. When their eyes meet Hank screeches out Alex’s name. When he wakes the sun is not even over the horizon.
That morning he makes sure to hold Hanks hand extra tight. He gave him three more kisses than usual. When they enter the school building he tells Hank to come get him if anything weird happens. This is where they part, most days they don’t even say goodbye but today felt like a ripping apart. Hank watches Alex’s blue letterman jacket until it gets lost in the sea of people, Alex doesn’t look back, he always looks back. Maybe it’s just an off day.
Three more weeks go by and everything resumes back to normal. There’s never a quiet moment in the house as they all have things to do, people to see, parties to attend and in Hanks case, avoid. Alex never mentioned the night of his first game again and he’s resumed looking back over his shoulder when they part in the hallway. They found a town a couple towns over where they can go on the weekends together, just the two of them.
They still don’t kiss or hold hands in public but the drive is nice and they have a really snazzy movie theater that plays all the best movies.
This weekend they are seeing West Side Story. It was Alex’s turn to chose and he’s always been a sucker for Romeo and Juliet even if he can’t admit it to anyone but Hank.
They get two small colas, two large popcorns, sit in two seats in the back and hold hands the entire time. The only other people were at the front and they didn’t seem to even notice the pair. When the credits roll there’s tears rolling down Alex’s cheeks.
He wipes them immediately and they don’t speak until they are in the car again.
“Fuck that movie.” Is all Alex says at first.
When Hank smiles over at him he breaks into a grin.
“Really they couldn’t even get over themselves long enough to see that they were in love. I mean I get it, culturally and whatever but that ending was shit.” He grumbles
“And how exactly would you have liked it to end?” Hank muses along.
“I don’t know, maybe they got to get married or something...I don’t know just not like that.” He’s fully pouting now and Hank wants to kiss him but ultimately decides to wait until they were driving.
“ I think it was beautiful. In the original Romeo and Juliet they’re both white with different views. Adding in the racism and cultural differences makes more sense, gives them a realistic fight especially under American imperialism,” Hank starts “the romance was beautiful too. The wedding scene made me swoon. Promising to be one with the person you love. One hand, one heart is so romantic I wish we had the script to write down the vows.” He says.
Alex is looking at him now with a face he can’t quite read. It looks like a mix of adoration and confusion.
“Wha-”
“Will you marry me?” Alex says. As soon as the words leave his mouth he feels himself shrink back into the seat. That’s not what he meant to say. It’s too late to take it back now. Fear wells up inside of himself filling every empty space with pins and needles. He’s going to be sick. Hank must see it written on his face because he pulls over immediately.
Alex opens up his passenger door and spews colas and popcorn onto the side of the road. When he’s done he’s crying again. So much for being a hot date.
“I didn’t mean to ask that. I know people like us can’t get married. It was stupid and hurtful of me to ask.” He won’t even look in Hanks direction.
“People like us as in mutants or homosexuals?” Hank asks. He hands Alex a napkin and he takes it without looking up.
“Both.” he replies wiping his face.
“Right...” Says Hank. He sounds deflated now. Any talk of love and romance is thrown out the window into the countryside air. They don’t talk again for a while.
“You know Alex, we could get married. It would have to be private of course but I’m sure Charles would officiate us. It doesn’t have to be public, you don’t even have to invite anyone you don’t want to.”
It’s then Alex realizes he’s been fooling himself. He can’t marry Hank. What would his parents think? Or if he lies and says he’s not married they’ll think worse. They want grandkids. He wants to travel and go to college and he won't be able to do that with Hank attached to his hip. Always looking over their shoulder for the next guy who has a problem with their love. Always checking into different rooms and sleeping in different beds. Never feeling safe, never giving Hank everything he deserves.
He wants to scream. Stupid people can’t even accept gay marriage what makes them capable of handling mutations? What about when they find out Hank is all blue and fuzzy or that Alex can shoot plasma beams from his chest. He wants to tell Hank all of this but he can’t the words don’t come out.
“I don’t want to marry you Hank. It was just something stupid I said cuz of the movie.”
“Oh.” Is all he says.
And that makes Alex even more angry. ‘Oh’ is all you have to say.
All this time we’ve been together and ‘oh’ is all you can muster up. Nice fucking going. Fuck this.
The rest of the ride is silent. It’s Saturday so when they get home they’re expected to play board games. Everyone is in the living room when they get there and they’re met with a chorus of hellos and come join us. Hank doesn’t respond to anyone, he walks straight up to his room. When they hear the door slam their eyes shift to Alex. He tries to shrug but it doesn’t look right, like he’s trying to shed his skin. He walks to his room double time and when he’s finally there he blasts the Radio to drown out his crying.
Hank lays down for the night, exhausted from the crying and imagines them in the scene from the movie. Repeating their vows.
“Make of our hands, one hand Make of our hearts, one heart Make of our vows, one last vow Even death won't part us now”
But Tony does die. He’s murdered while Maria is forced to keep on living. Hank wonders if he’ll be Tony or Maria in this rendition. The sadness makes his eyes heavier and he’s pulled into a restless sleep.
