My thoughts on Spy x Family: EYES ONLY Guidebook (English ver) - part 3

Continuing from my previous two posts, this will be my last post discussing the English version of the SxF manga guidebook "EYES ONLY." I'll discuss some of Endo's and Lin's comments on specific chapters, some of the included concept art for the series, all the Twiyor tidbits the book has to offer, and conclude with a couple things the English version of the book omits.

Endo's and Lin's comments on specific chapters

There's at least one comment from Endo and/or Lin on every chapter of the manga from when the book was originally published (up to chapter 61). Unfortunately I can't cover every single comment, but I did want to highlight a few (more will be covered in the Twiyor tidbits later on).

So Bond wouldn't have actually died from Yor's cooking then? Good to know her cooking isn't that bad, lol. Also that's a good question, Lin, maybe you should ask Endo? 😅

Lots of great info about the cruise arc. Makes sense that they had to plan it out many months in advance and keep revising it to patch up plot holes. All that work definitely paid off! Interesting that they almost considered not having Loid on the ship at all. Glad they didn't because otherwise we wouldn't have gotten one of his best outfits! 🤣 (can't wait to see this piece of work in color in the anime!)

Incidentally, the scene Endo mentions where he "managed to make Yor look pretty cute" is this one (she does look pretty cute here).

My favorite comment of Endo's about any chapter has to be this one for chapter 56. Never change, Endo 😂

And lastly, some good comments about chapter 59 (Becky visits the Forgers).

This is one of my favorite stand-alone chapters so I'm glad it was well received. Funny how they kept going with the joke instead of ending it "normally"...but when you have such great characters and setups, good comedy writes itself!

Below is Endo's commentary about Henderson, not a specific chapter, but thought I'd point it out since he mentions Henderson is the only character he's done a shower scene for...not anymore!

Also, while not related to a specific chapter, I do like what Endo says below about Loid and Yor's "dark sides."

He enjoys drawing them this way, which is cool, but he's also cautious about not overdoing it and saving those expressions for important situations.

Concept art

Most of the pre-serialization character designs included in this book were also in the exhibition pamphlet, which I already discussed thoroughly here (wish I had remembered these were in the fanbook so I wouldn't have put so much effort into trying to read Endo's scribble notes). So I'll just mention a few of the most notable things.

As I discussed in my post about the pamphlet, Franky was at some point intended to be the uncle of the family. Though I do think it would have been fitting to make him the uncle, I also like the main focus being on just the "nuclear" family, with the uncle and other characters having supportive roles.

An interesting note about the beta version of Yor is that she seemed to be more like Fiona - she was in love with Loid right from the start, to the point of trying to eliminate Anya! I doubt this is something she would be doing all the time as it would have been difficult to make her a likable main character if she was always trying to kill her daughter...in all likelihood, she would have tried to kill Anya at first before eventually learning to love her as a daughter. While I see how this could work for an intriguing character arc, I'm glad Endo decided to make Yor a loving mother to Anya right away, and not make her feelings for Loid an obsessive "love at first sight" kind of thing.

Twiyor tidbits

Being the shipper that I am, I tried to see if I could pinpoint any Twiyor subtleties throughout the book, as vague as they may be! 😂

Below are excerpts from Loid and Yor's character pages where we're given info on their current stance about each other.

Love the emphasis on their bond of trust ❤️

Below are excerpts from chapters 14 and 35, probably the most Twiyor-heavy chapter pages in the book.

This confirms that Loid did indeed interpret Yor's kick as her not having any romantic feelings for him.

Below are comments by Endo and Lin for chapter 30, where Fiona is introduced.

Endo's line is a little ambiguous here, but I think he's saying how people sympathize with Fiona because she's "doomed to lose," which is...telling 😅 (does Fiona's loss automatically mean a Twiyor win?)

Endo says he likes the "You're strong, Yor" conversation, one of the most Twiyor-ish scenes in the series so far! 😊 Lin also mentioned how they got to use that theme again during the Becky chapter.

Weird that he chose to highlight this line of all things as Loid's "Family Comment" for chapter 10. Could this and chapter 79 be more foreshadowing for an eventual "Twilight vs Thorn Princess" showdown? 👀 Or maybe he just likes teasing fans because he knows it's something they fantasize about.

English version omissions

There's an additional Endo interview that's missing from the English version of the book: an interview with him and Kazumi Takayama, a former idol of the group Nogizaka46.

At first it seemed very odd that they would leave out just this interview, but after discussing it with others on Discord, I realized it's because it has to do with an idol. Apparently getting licensing rights for anything that has to do with a Japanese idol group is very difficult, which is further hindered by the fact that Takayama isn't even part of that idol group anymore, which makes getting the content green lit for official release overseas even more taxing. So probably Viz decided it wasn't worth the trouble and just left out that interview. But thankfully u/Nemshi on Reddit posted a fan translation of it, which you can read here. They talk a bit about SxF, but most of it is just general questions they ask each other.

And the other thing missing from the English version that I really can't understand is the inside cover! Another great 4th-wall breaking joke from Endo (I added a quick translation of the Japanese version below).

Unlike the Takayama interview, I have no idea why they didn't include this. They include the inside cover as an extra page in all the English volumes, so why not here? Very weird.

Honestly, there's so much great content in the book that I didn't touch on, like info about East/West relations, about Eden Academy, Endo's comments on all the designer chairs for the volume covers...and lots more. So definitely get a copy yourself if you can! It's a must-have for any SxF fan 😁 Books like this aren't officially released in English very often, so the fact that Viz thought it was worthwhile to make this proves how much of a hit SxF is!

Hotel Room hell

Summary: You and Wanda are sent on a mission together but you don't get along, and when a woman tries flirting with you she needs to confront her feelings, or does she? Maybe she'll just play with you instead

Warnings: 18+ Minors DNI, terribly written smut, oral (W receiving) swearing, etc

Words: 5,300 (Got way too carried away 😳😂)

A/n: this has been finished for 2 days but I kept reading and changing things so let’s hope for the best lol

"I'm sorry ma'am but there's only one room left” the poor hotel receptionist repeated for the 3rd time to an angry redhead "I can't stay with her in the same room, we don't get along"

"She doesn't like us does she?" Venom said in your head and you just shrugged

"We'll be in different beds Wanda whats the big deal? You tried calming the situation down, you didn't really like her either but you were tired and all you wanted to do was sleep

More bad news incoming "oh actually the room only has a king bed available" this poor front desk person

"One room and one bed?! This is ridiculous!" You didn't say this often but Wanda was acting like a Karen right now "Wanda it's fine I'll sleep on the couch"

That seemed to calm the stressed redhead and she grabbed the key from the desk storming up to the room leaving you to deal with the woman "I'm so sorry about her she's normally really nice"

She laughed "trust me we get many characters around here, she's not even the worst I've had today, thank you for trying to help though"

"She is flirting with us! We need to ask her out! You have been very lonely recently!"

You forced a smile ignoring that insult from your symbiote and looked back to the woman who asked you a question and waited for your response "sorry? Did you ask me something?"

"I asked you if you were dating your friend?"

You shook your head "no no we don't like each other"

"Then why stay at a hotel? Seems a little odd" she laughed and you laughed with her, she was right but when Tony Stark gives you an order you have to listen apparently "trust me I know" you laughed with her

"So if you're not dating her, does that mean you're free tonight then?" She was asking you out, oh wow okay

"Oh yeah, yeah sure I'm free, do you have anything in mind?" You stumbling over your words and blushing hard was the cutest thing she'd ever seen even if you yourself felt yourself getting stressed

"A drink at the bar maybe?" She said and you nodded "absolutely, when do you get off?" Feeling confident you lent close on the desk leaning your head on your arm and she did the same smirking "isn't it a little too soon to ask when I get off?"

"Is she talking about what I think she's talking about?! I may be an alien but I recognise flirtatious attitude!"

Scratching your head to calm the irritation known as Venom you coughed trying to wet your dry throat, you won't be embarrassed

"Well maybe I'm just trying to time our date, knowing when you get off helps me decide the correct time" that didn't sound as good as you thought it did and both of you knew it but she decided not to hold it against you "I finish at 7, I'll see you at the bar, order me a pornstar martini"

"Pornstar martini? Sounds interesting"

"It's delicious, who doesn't love a pornstar?"

You laughed, god she was funny and hot, what a great combination "you got me there, okay I'll see you at 7" you went to leave but her hand grabbed your arm pulling you close and she gave you a kiss on the cheek "see you then"

Walking to the room with a smile on your face you went to open the door but you were stopped by black tentacles claiming your hand "what are you doing?"

"I feel tension inside and I do not think we should be going inside until Wanda has calmed down"

You huffed "you're being dramatic, we know she hates us what's the point?"

Ignoring very real instinct of Venom you opened the door barley surviving a thrown lamp thanks to Venom catching it in one of their tentacles

"Wanda what the fuck?! This place is expensive you can't be throwing shit around!"

You looked at Wanda seeing red swirls all around her body, okay she was definitely angry "where were you" she said sternly making Venom growl in a defensive state, they didn't like being told off

"I was talking to the front desk woman-

"She asked you out" she interrupted you and you had to hold back from letting Venom out "okay and? She's hot"

Wanda scoffed "oh so you'll just fuck anything that shows you attention huh? You should've been a man because you just think with your dick"

You just stood there dumbfounded, even Venom was speechless "what the hell are you talking about? Why are you acting like a jealous ex girlfriend?"

The witch stood up and stormed into the bathroom slamming the door "we're on a mission! You need to be focused, not staring at a blonde bimbo's chest!"

"I was not staring at her chest! I'm a lady!"

The silence on the other side of the door was deafening and you weren't sure on what to do

"I believe she may still be mad at us, should we do anything?"

You lowered your voice "and risk being murdered in a nice hotel room? No let's just go to the pool" picking out a bikini from your suitcase you headed down to the pool.

When you got there, you realised something "Can you swim?" You whispered to yourself and waited for the alien's response

"Yes I can swim, I was the fastest swimmer on my planet I won plenty of awards!"

You rolled your eyes "you know you don't have to continue talking, you could've just stopped at yes I can swim-

"Who you talking to stranger?" It was the woman from the front desk "oh hi, no one I'm just thinking about how to say sorry to Wanda"

She sat down on a sun lounger bringing you with her and you flopped down with her "honey I don't think you need to apologise to her, she doesn’t like you”

You shrugged "she got stuck with me on this....business trip so I owe it to her to behave"

"She wants us! Quick kiss her!"

Your hand reached to rub at your head calming down the incoming headache “anyway enough about Wanda, I thought you didn’t finish work until later?”

She shrugged “well I saw you coming to the pool and got someone to cover for me, do you want to go swimming?"

You did but you weren't sure, after Wanda's outburst she was definitely watching you, you thought you could even feel her eyes on you "I don't know..."

"Come on, I bet you look so hot in your bikini" she purred at you making you fault a little "oh er yeah, sure okay let me go change" you got up a little to quick nearly stumbling but froze when you felt a pair of hands steady your legs "hold on darling, seems like you need some help"

Her laugh was fun, you even managed to not notice her hands sliding up and down your legs rubbing circles into them

"Ah Y/n I believe we should stop because I feel some eyes on us that are angry"

You ignored the voice and in about 10 seconds you'll really wish you would've listened "so, how about my offer of swimming?"

"Ye-

"Y/n what the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"Ah fuck me" you whispered pushing yourself away from the woman and turning around to Wanda storming towards you "Wanda I-

"Get back to the room now!" She was angry that much was easy to see but you didn't know why, why was she acting like this?

"Wanda I don't know what the problem is-

"Ahhh! Y/n she's in our mind!"

You felt yourself getting dizzy walking away and falling into the pool spluttering and failing to stay afloat "oh Y/n you're so clumsy now come on you need to stay in the room while we're here"

She pulled you out of the water and pushed past the woman trying to have her way with you dragging you to the room and throwing you inside "we're here for a mission! Not to be a whore!"

"Dude, are you on your period or something?? What have I done? I know we don't like each other but you need to chill out"

Wanda hasn't looked at you yet, all she did was pace around the room "I-i'm sorry I don't know what came over me, it just pissed me off seeing you flirt with that bimbo because she doesn't deserve you"

"She is being quite confusing Y/n I believe it may be a trick"

You couldn't even think of what to say, did she just say someone didn't deserve you? "Wanda" she ignored you "Wanda look at me"

She looked up at you "I'm right, she just wanted to sleep with you"

You shrugged "and? What is this, the 1800s? I'm allowed to sleep with someone"

"Well I don't like it!"

"I'm getting a headache Wanda just say what you truly feel and let me and venom go to sleep"

Wanda scoffed "that's another thing, venom, venom this venom that, it's a parasite! Bruce could've gotten rid of it for you, you'd be normal but no you want to keep it so you can feel special, news flash! You're a mess and when you come in at 4am covered in blood and collapsing on the floor I'm the one picking you up and putting you in bed!"

That's how you get to bed? You don't even remember going out and killing people in the first place, does Venom know?

You lowered your head "do you know about this?"

The symbiote remained quiet so you asked again

"Venom answer me do you go out and then come back covered in blood and making a mess everywhere?"

"Well when you are asleep I can go outside and be my true self"

Your face drained of colour, oh god is that why you couldn't sleep much? "Venom come on dude! Why do you have to keep going out and killing?! I get you live chickens to eat"

Venom remained quiet so you looked back to Wanda "Wanda I-

She held her hand up stopping you "doesn't matter Y/n, go back to your "date""

Before you could respond Wanda was already back into the bathroom, her favourite place to be it seems

"Are you mad at me?" they whispered and you held yourself back from smacking yourself in the head knowing while it would hurt them it would hurt you more

"Yes but it'll pass, I need a lie down"

"What about the attractive blonde woman downstairs?"

You rolled your eyes "I don't want to sleep with anyone right now"

you lay down on the couch closing your eyes just wanting to go back home, but no, Tony wants you both to kill some people and take some important files or something you weren't actually paying attention, he only wanted you to go because of the alien inside of you

"You are thinking very loudly Y/n"

''Well I have a lot on my mind don’t I Venom?”

Before you could finish the bathroom door opened and Wanda came out “do you have anything to say?”

You looked towards her with your eyebrows raised "what do you mean?"

"After all the shit I do for you you owe me a apology" she came towards you and you instantly jumped up backing away from her making her laugh "are you scared of me?"

"When you stalk towards me asking for an apology it's a little scary yeah"

Wanda glanced behind you "and does Venom think I'm scary too?"

You hadn't noticed the black tentacles sprouting from your back in a defensive stance and then you suddenly heard the low growling coming from inside you

"Venom relax, it's okay I promise we're fine" the growling stopped and the tentacles retracted back into your body

"You still owe me an apology" she repeated and you rolled your eyes "can't we just get along for 10 minutes?"

"No, but I'll leave it for now, we should go to sleep we have an early day tomorrow" she turned her back to you starting to remove her top and you gasped "what are you doing??"

She turned her head to you "getting dressed for bed?"

"B-but can't you do that in the bathroom?" You stumbled over your words blushing and Wanda rolled her eyes "we have the same body anatomy Y/n there's nothing wrong with seeing me naked"

"Is this flirting? If she's removing her clothes that means she wants us correct?"

You shook your head "I-okay" you mumbled casting your gaze to the floor where Wanda's shirt then her bra ended up, Wanda smirked knowing exactly how you were feeling and while she hated you she would like to have a little fun

"You know since we’re here can you look at something for me?” You thought nothing of it and looked up immediately regretting it when you were faced with her chest “Wanda!”

“What? You wanted to help me correct?” She smirked and you closed your eyes “Wanda this isn’t appropriate, we don’t like each other and I don’t feel comfortable”

She rolled her eyes lifting your chin up but you still refused to open your eyes “malen'kiy I’ve been inside your head, you may hate me and I hate you but the images you think of when you think you’re alone are just delightful”

“Really?” You replied and Wanda’s smile dropped pushing you to the ground

You quickly changed and got under the covers awaiting the angry witches return

“Oh so the couch isn’t good enough anymore?” Those were her first words exiting the bathroom dressed in a shirt and her underwear getting under the covers and placing a pillow between you both as some kind of wall of protection

“Don’t you dare touch me or I’ll tear your body from the inside out with my magic”

Rolling your eyes “please Wanda stop trying to turn me on I won’t be able to control myself if you keep teasing me”

Low growls from said parasite left your body and you shushed them “I promise they won’t do anything, even they have standards” you snapped back, closing your eyes you hoped to fall asleep quickly and you did

Through the night you were in and out of sleep waking up at one point and the pillow was gone removed by Venom

“She is muttering your name and whimpering”

You scoffed turning over facing away from her “you’re being ridiculous Venom, she wouldn’t be whimpering about us, she’d be laughing and happy because she’s probably stabbing us”

Your whispering woke Wanda up and before she could shout she noticed the pillow gone and you muttering to that alien when you turned around you stopped talking and sat up quickly

“Sorry Wanda I didn’t mean to wake you, I didn’t move the pillow venom did and I’ve shouted at them already-

“Oh shut up” she kissed you to shut you up and you blushed hard pulling away but Wanda’s hand gripped the back of your neck keeping you in place

“I still hate you” she breathed out kissing you again sitting you both up and eventually pulling away leaving you speechless “I’m so confused”

“I’ll keep it simple Y/n, I hate you, you hate me, we’re here in this bed and I’ve not had sex in 7 months, even then Vision wasn’t the best in bed so I need to get it out of my system”

While she was talking she’d taken her shirt off and straddled you and went to kiss your neck but you finally regained some form of control placing your hands on her shoulders stopping her “Wanda wait this isn’t right, can’t we go back to hating each other properly?”

The witch shook her head giggling “oh princess you want me too, I know it now, tell me how does the parasite help you in sex?”

You couldn’t believe what was happening, this feels like something out of bad comedy love movie

“I don’t know, they only come out when scared or excited”

Wanda licked her lips smiling “excited? I can get them really excited”

“Y/n is this a trick? I feel like this is a trick”

You shrugged “I think she’s serious, just stay there until I figure it out”

Wanda watched the interaction rolling her eyes “I’m very serious Y/n” she pulled you back into another kiss starting to move her hips on your thigh but you put a stop to that grabbing her hips pausing her and pulling away “no, no Wanda I don’t feel right about it”

“Tell her you’ve never been intimate with another person”

Venom said and you shook your head refusing to tell Wanda about you never sleeping with anyone, unbeknownst to you Wanda knew, Venom couldn’t keep her out when you were sleeping

“It’s okay Y/n I know you’ve never had sex, and I can’t wait to ruin you for anyone else”

You gulped unable to say anything instead letting Wanda kiss down your neck and removing your shirt pulling away and admiring your chest noticing the metal bars “nipple piercings? What a naughty girl, do you have any other piercings?”

You shook your head not wanting to say something to ruin this beautiful yet really strange encounter

She didn’t say a word just leaning down kissing each nipple making you shudder “Wanda I-I don’t think-

She huffed pulling away and rubbing her face “Y/n I just want to fuck the anger out of my body, you’re being really selfish”

“Wanda I’m sorry, it’s just I’m scared that Venom might take over and hurt you”

“I’ll do more than that if she keeps calling me a parasite!” They growled taking over your body a little clawing at Wanda’s hips cutting into her

“Shit, they’ve got some sharp claws there” she laughed a little and you gasped “oh god Wanda I’m sorry!”

“Shush, listen Venom you horrible little clump of mold I need this, now either you let me fuck Y/n or you come out and give me a hand” roughly kissing you she was suddenly flipped onto her back and pushed down into the bed “woah, where did that strength come from?”

“Well Y/n is weak and if you want rough sex then I’m the only one here to give it to you”

Wanda’s eyes glowed red bringing you back to the front “I want to sleep with you, Venom can help but you’re the one who I want to look at.

You nodded “okay”

“You need all the help you can get, I will give you something that will drive Wanda wild”

You opened your mouth revealing Venom’s long tongue poking out licking up the side of the redhead’s face “oh god I didn’t know they had a tongue like that”

Not wasting anymore time you kissed your way down her body leaving marks and saliva in your wake until Wanda grabbed a handful of your hair pulling you to in between her legs

“Get on with it Y/n”

“But I’ve never done it” you said and you felt her pull your hair tighter “doesn’t matter, just fuck me with your tongue”

Venom growled from inside of you gripping her thighs spreading them apart and licking up the arousal that had dripped down and licking over her panties making her groan “fuck Y/n”

Pulling away the tongue disappeared and you left you with your own small tongue again

"She does taste very good, a little sour but that might be her attitude"

"So what now?" You asked, choosing to laugh at VEnom’s joke later, watching the way Wanda's chest rose and fell in quick succession "seriously? You as a virgin fucking wrecks me with that parasite's long tongue and you have the audacity to ask me 'what now?' Fucking ridiculous Y/n"

She flopped back down onto the bed and you held in a laugh "sorry Wanda, are you okay?"

"Sure, I don't think I'll be walking for a while anyway"

"We treat Wanda like a lady but she will not admit that she loves us? And she still calls me a parasite!"

Wanda sat up in the bed looking towards you "what else can Venom give you?"

That surprised you but you also sat up "er I don't know, the long tongue not enough for you?"

Wanda let out a breathy laugh "it'd be much better than a plastic strap on"

You raised an eyebrow wondering what she meant until Venom spoke up "I cannot give Wanda what she wants, because I don't have any genitalia, I apologise"

You giggled "sorry Wanda Venom doesn't have that or any genitalia"

She sighed "I guess it's for the best, I don't want little alien babies"

You both burst out laughing forgetting how you both feel about each other for the time being "we should probably talk about the mission"

Suddenly the door opened and you both nearly jumped until you recognised one of them.

"Well well well, guess I was right telling Tony it's better if we came with you, clearly you two have other things on your mind more important than the mission" she laughed and the other woman came into the room instantly laughing and falling to her knees dramatically

"Holy shit! I knew it! Clint owes $40"

"Natasha this isn't funny” Maria slapped her on the shoulder pushing her to the ground ignoring her giggles and looking back to you both "okay okay we've all had a good laugh now you two get dressed, we've got some intel on the target and need to get there quick"

When Wanda didn't move you held in a giggle and Nat pulled herself off of the floor eyeing Wanda up "don't tell me you can't move...that good?"

Wanda rolled her eyes "jealous Nat?"

The other redhead snorted "please, Maria does things you've never even heard of, I'm a trained assassin and talented ballerina and yet this woman takes me down every time"

She looked very proud of herself while Maria blushed hard "babe please calm down, Wanda why can't you move?"

"It is because of my long tongue isn't it Y/n?"

You gave a small nod in response to Venom and got out of bed to get dressed leaving the poor naked redhead on her own "go on Wanda tell us while she's in the bathroom getting changed"

"You know the parasite she has?" Wanda started

"Sure..." Nat said

"Well it has a long tongue and so Y/n has never had sex so I think they had a talk in her head and then this long tongue appeared from her mouth, way too much saliva though, I thought I was going to drown when she kissed me"

Maria rolled her eyes "I thought I did things you've never imagined before?"

Wanda huffed taking Nat’s hand and hosting herself up from the bed leaning into Nat who casually looked over your body “you’ve got so many hickeys and scratches on your thighs and stomach, you look like you’ve been attacked”

“Yeah by an alien” Nat laughed

“Do you remember that you two hate each other?” Maria interjected and Wanda shrugged “I needed to fuck someone who didn’t have a robotic dick or a vanilla attitude”

You came out of the bathroom dressed and looking awkward “there she is, the virgin who managed to paralyse a witch from the waist down” Nat congratulated you while Wanda tried pulling away from her

“Nat please come on, let’s just go and sort this mission stuff out” you moved through the room towards the door but were stopped by Maria “hold on princess, we don’t really have to go that quickly, you two hate each other right? So what happened?"

You thought about it "maybe she was jealous about the woman who was flirting with me?"

"You mean the easy slut basically spreading her legs for you by the pool?"

The three of them stared at Wanda who doubled down on what she said "I'm right, if she didn't work here I bet she would've just stripped naked in front of you"

Nat picked up some sweatpants and a shirt from the floor giving them to Wanda "Wands I don't think you can talk about someone being easy when you're stood here naked"

The witch grumbled taking the clothes from Nat limping into the bathroom to get changed

"You two are a riot" Nat told you and you shook your head "Nat please don't make it worse, I'm really fucking confused" you flopped down onto the bed covering your face with your hands, when you felt a hand on your arm you looked up to see Maria

"Why label it? So you gave head to your enemy so what? I'm pretty sure you can still be enemies but still sleep with each other if you wanted"

You sat up sighing and giving Maria a hug "thanks Mia, I don't want to be sappy about the whole thing, you're right and its over now"

Nat clapped her hands "Alright! Now let's go and get dinner before we starve, I bet your little Venom is hungry too"

Did she mention food? I would very much like food! But my food!"

"Venom wants to eat what they normally eat" you said looking at Nat knowing full well what they want

"Well, can they wait until we get to the mission? They'll be loads of tasty horrible humans for them to devour"

Venom's head appeared from your back eyeing up Nat and spoke in a gravely voice "Natalia, do you promise me I can eat the humans? Last time I was refused that luxury"

"God you're really ugly aren't you?" Nat laughed and you shook your head "Nat! They get sensitive about how they look"

The alien retreated back into your body without another word cursing Nat in your head

Wanda came out of the bathroom fresh faced and dressed "shall we go?" She walked towards the door opening it and letting the two women out "meet you guys in the lobby okay?" Maria patted you on the shoulder giving you a kiss on the cheek

When they both left Wanda closed the door and sat down next to you "say what you want to say Y/n"

"I want to know what's going on Wanda, do we still hate each other? Because the way you were screaming my name and clenching your thighs around my head it sure doesn't seem like it"

Wanda rolled her eyes pulling you suddenly into her lap and kissing you hard, pulling away you were obviously even more confused that when you first started

"I still hate you and that stupid parasite but I don't want you sleeping with anyone else, you can't flirt with anyone else either" her hands wondered your body landing on your ass giving it a squeeze making you jump slightly

"Wanda just admit you don't hate me, what's the problem?"

"Because we can't have hate sex if we like each other can we?" sucking a mark into your neck she smirked when you groaned

"Y/n you need to focus!"

Venom dragged you off of the woman surprising both of you "the hell was that??"

"Venom doesn't want me near you" you said being dragged to the door but it was slammed shut by Wanda's powers "oh baby, your alien will learn to love me, now come on we need to finish that mission so I can take my post mission adrenaline out on you later"

She gave you a cheek kiss on the way out of the room leaving you dumbfounded "great, my first time was with a witch who is possessive over people she hates"

"On my planet she would be treated like a queen because of how mean she is"

In the original text, Haruka sends a casual text to the group chat, then corrects his tone by adding “ですか” (desu ka) in a separate message. Momo and mitsuki tease him about it by sending casual messages then following it up with “ですか”. This kind of polite speech doesn’t exist in English, so this was the closest way to convey the OG conversation’s tone

This is another joke that can’t be properly conveyed in English without further context, Momo and Mitsuki start adding “や” (ya) at the end of their messages which is a form of speech under a style called “yakuwarigo”, used in manga/anime (amongst other forms of media) to indicate age. The “ya” in this case is added to elderly characters’ speech, hence why I chose to add the “ol’ man” so that Haruka’s comment makes sense.

RWTGI 35.1 - 35.2 Thoughts

I forgot chapter 35.2 is already out WAAAHH

I say Kirishima's name a lot this time, maybe I should call him Kiri.

Okay, this chapter confirms my suspicion. So his family really did neglect him.

Uhh I don't think the diary is meant to prove himself as a victim. I bet it's to keep record of what makes him happy 😅

BAHHAHAH Gaddamit.

I thought he was mourning, or at least self-reflecting. Who knew he was playing soccer 🤣 (where is your sympathy kid, tf) At least he knew not to play in the middle of people mourning, lol

Oh yeah, I just remember, Sumire (Kiri's great-aunt) did say his parents tried to get him to talk after that incident, but no matter how much they tried, he never answered them. Maybe it's because he's aware he's too different from them, they wouldn't understand him anyway? If that's the case, that's kinda amazing of Kiri for being able to (kinda) open up to Gaku even though he never met him, because just from a short meeting he knows his great-uncle is not normal like himself.

(If Kiri is your average kid, even if Sumire dropped some hints that Gaku is similar to him, he wouldn't be able to take the hint because he's too clouded with "no one understands me" prejudice. But no. Our Kiri here uses his brainn, bro)

Turns out his "friend" is more normal than he thought, his plan failed, he got into trouble. He did so much, yet, didn't get anything in the end lolol

I'm surprised Kiri is the first one who asked to be adopted. I don't think Sumire or his parents ever told him that the man in front of him is a yakuza. He must've put two & two together and concluded it himself.

If I could guess why Gaku accepted a brat like Kiri, it's may be because he saw his potential. I'm sure he never heard about Kiri until his sister introduced him, but the fact that she asked for his help is enough prove that his family couldn't handle him anymore. He never introduced himself as a yakuza but Kiri, with limited informations and short time, knew right away. He's not scared or nervous like normal people. In fact, he just focus on getting what he wants, and willing to do anything to get what he wants. Talented. Abnormal. Obsessed. Unhinged. Gaku could really use those traits. Even if he couldn't become his grandchild, at least he could become a reliable subordinate. Maybe that's why he accepted him so quick 😂

(Turns out there's another reason in the next chapter tho, so I'll save my thoughts for later.)

This is just a reminder to myself: Gaku barely provided Kiri with the neccessity needed, probably because he needs to test his worth if he wants to earn that "yakuza's grandchild" title. Or at least that's my theory. Maybe Gaku is just naturally apathetic. Maybe both.

Kiri might've liked Gaku to a certain degree because he's one of his few family who accepts him as who he is, but I'm pretty sure growing up with a man like him in a yakuza household has worsen his mental condition, until he meet Yoshino.

Hmm? The guy who killed Kyousuke? Do we know him? Is it Suo Azami? Nah, if he's around the same age as Kiri, he's practically a baby at that time. Wait, didn't he change his face tho? How old is he again? Or myb it's not Azami at all, myb it's his boss, Akime Hishibe? Oh I forgot Shouma said he's already dead, but I highly doubt it. Maybe the mastermind is still alive.

Um, if Kirishima is owned by Gaku, and Gaku leaves him under Renji's care, does it mean he's now owned by Renji? He doesn't have to obey Gaku anymore?

I'm confused with this whole ownership thing now.

Wow, oh wow. I need to recalibrate everything.

This panel gives chapter 2 a whole new layer. Wow.

So like. He told her to sell her body not only because he was tired of her, but also because Renji told him he could make Yoshino go back to Osaka if he didn't feel like up to the task?

Though I don't think Kiri did that because he values his life; he did that merely because he thought she's boring and not worth his time. But then everything change 😂

Yo Renji. You're the one who said it's okay for Kiri to make Yoshino go back to Osaka. You said you'd take care of the rest, you even said he can be creative. He was doing such a great job at making her feel like she wanna leave, yet, you won't let him have his way?

Was Renji intentionlly flaming them both? Is this his plan all along; to have both children go screw each other in Tokyo and forget about Osaka for a year?

(Istg Renji's death flag has been up for a while now, I'm scared for Yoshino)

Oh wow, Kiri really did not lie. Their interest really do align perfectly.

To continue my point above about why would Gaku accept Kiri into his house, it seems like he wanted to use Kiri's talent and obsessiveness towards Yoshino to make him protect her, because he feel indebted/guilty towards Renji? Was he feeling responsible for what happen to Kyousuke? If that's the case, this makes Akime seem even more sus bc he used to be Gaku and Renji's close friend.

Seeing Kirishima's reminiscence sure brings tears to my eyes. From obsession to genuine love and affection. He really does come a loong, long way, huh. Maybe I should make a meta about this particular scene but idk, let's see if I feel like it.

But I don't think he would've feel this way if Yoshino didn't acknowledge his quirks and treat him "normally." She really is amazing.

The way he's so scared when Yoshino didn't move for literally 1 second he decided to check her pulse, like she could just drop dead in a blink. Even though he has seen how strong she is up until now. That irrational fear of losing someone, he finally understand 🥺🥺

I'm really REALLY surprised Yoshino relented and agreed to eat parfait 🤣 Kirishima you always win huh 🤣

Aww, he returned to the same place when he first entered the yakuza household, eat the same parfait he used to eat, but now he's together with a friend/lover he treasures for life, enjoying the life he found boring at the beginning 🥺😭💞

These past chapters have been a treat. Even after he declares he loves Yoshino multiple times, we never stop doubting him because the fear he instilled at the beginning is too strong to dismiss. Just like Yoshino, we have this lingering doubt that he doesn't really love her, he's just obsessed. These flashbacks managed to shed some lights into his character, making him seem even more human. Kiri really HAS been trying to show how genuine he is -- in his own awkward way -- and it shows 🥹

Just 2 more chapters until we catch up to the raws, I can't wait. I've seen it, and all I can say is, it's beautiful. And Kirishima says some crazy stuff while sober. I just can't with him. I love him, I hate it.

During your shift you hear someone yell. "get on your knees everyone now!" You turn to see a man with a gun and the man sees you and aims the gun at you. "I said get on the ground or i'll kill you!" You lower yourself to the ground and the man aims his gun at a doctor and you stand up. "No wait please, shoot me."

The guy turns and says. 'Don't think i won't if you don't stay on the fucking ground!" You say. 'Why are you doing this!?" the gunman says. 'Shut up!"

You shake your head. "No I said shoot-" the doctor says. "Y/N no!" The man looks at your bump and says as he walks closer and pushes the gun on your gut. "either you or your unborn kid will live, which do you choose?"

You say. "please.." He says. "pick one!" You yell. 'My child"

The man says. "great" he shoots and you gasp and you see your nurse friend rush to you as you fall slowly.

Chris hears about the news of the shooting and he hear where it was, where you work. Chris drops his phone and then grabs his keys and says. 'Shit my phone." He gets into this car and drives off and calls his mother letting her know what's going on.

His mother says. "Chris are you driving like a crazy man?" he says. "yes Ma i am y/n is hurt!" Chris passes more than one red light and other cars start hooking at him and he says. 'Give me a fucking break!"

Lisa says. "Christopher Robert Evans i can still hear you." Chris sighs and says. 'Sorry sorry" he gets the the hospital and gets out and rushes inside and he sees the gunman is in the cop car and he then sees you on the ground. he picks you up and says.

'it's okay dove i got ya." he calls for a nurse and they rush you into the ER,

Three hours later.

You open your eyes and chris is reading and you say. 'Chris?" he looks at you and says as he set the book down and holds your hand. "Hey dove. how do you feel?" You say. "the baby?' Chris says. "She's fine" You smile. "it's a girl?" he nods and says. "yeah she's okay."

You smile and say. "When can i go home?' Chris says. They want to keep you here for a few days jut make sure you and our little girl is ok." You nod and say. "i was so dumb chris." You start crying and Chris says. 'hey sh, don't say that."

You say. 'I told him to shoot me and let our child live....i put her in danger chris! what kind of person does that!?" Chris sits closer. "Dove listen to me please."

You look at him and he says. "You did what ever you thought would save the other person who was going to die." You say. "yes but chris-" he says. "Dove you did the right thing" He holds your hand and says. 'You did what you had to." You nod.

Chris kisses your forehead and Lisa rushes in and you both look at her. She smiles and says. "Oh Y/N i am so glad to see your okay" She pats your shoulder and the rest of his family shows up and chris says. "Should we tell them?"

You look at chris and he smiles and you nod. Chris says. 'So Dove and i have some news...We are having a baby" His family start clapping and scott says. "Damn! that's great!" Chris says. "And we know the gender too..." Lisa says. "Boy!" Some say girl and others guess boy. you say. "it's a girl" Everyone cheers and chris sits by you and rubs your arm and kisses your head.

a few days later.

You are at home and Chris says. "Hey babe is it ok if i posted the Instagram post now?" You look at him and nod. "Sure thing." Chris sits by you and kisses you. he pulls away and you say. "What was that for?" he says. 'Just felt like you needed a kiss.' You smile and say. "i love it when you kiss me." Chris smiles and kisses you again.

Chris smiles and kisses the side of your head and pizza gets to your home and chris gives you three slices and he says. "hungry?" You tilt your head and say giving chris a glare. "are you feeding for two?" He shakes his head and laughs. 'No I'm not sorry babe."

You smile and after dinner you and Chris are in bed and Chris says. "you never did answer my question a month ago." You look at him and say. 'What question?"

He says. 'Move in with dodger and i." You look at chris more and you love how his eyes shine when you look at him and you say. "Of course i will evans!"

Chris smiles.

he looks at you and says.

You smile and say. 'I love you too Chris" He says. "You do?' You nod and sit up. 'Of course i do...since i met you on new years eve i have loved you."

You get out of bed and walk into the bathroom and wash up. Chris walks in and kisses your soft skin. You lean your head to the side and he kisses your neck. You turn around and bite your lip.

You say. 'you going to just stop or keep it up Mister Evans?" He smiles and you kiss him.

saw your recent reblog about feedback and, though I’ve been occasionally gushing in tags, you deserve to hear what I tell my friends! In general, your writing style is perfect at capturing the timing and delivery of the show itself. I’ve never read a fic i’ve been able to visualize more clearly than this one. You write each character so well that between chapters it feels like i’m right back where i used to be, waiting for new episodes again. I do think you haven’t *quite* solved your side-character-ification (applejackification?) of Dipper problem yet, but other than that you’re doing an astounding job at balancing all the characters and their interactions with each other and with bill in a way that feels natural (plus with these more recent chapters i’m seeing lots of good dipper stuff so you’re definitely getting there with him too! besides, it is nice to see Mabel get the spotlight after all these years anyway. healing, even.) You know exactly how to control an audience’s emotions, you know when to drag something out and when to shut it down, you know when to cut off a conversation and when bring up the fact it was cut off later. Little foreshadowings like the loose tooth are well-planted and plot beats like lucid dreaming are dropped and picked back up delicately and with precision, like pressing piano keys. i don’t doubt for a second it’s all a part of some grand instrument, though i wouldn’t be surprised if you told me most of it was improvised - another way you’re just like the show was. you’ve done the episodic-and-serialized thing better than at least half of all silver-age cartoons that have attempted to do so! I adore the way you show kindness to all characters in your scenes, from gideon’s characterless mother to the little freak himself. It truly feels as though you pick no favorites, and that’s something you do better than the show did tbh. Not that TBOB needed to hook me in with a marketing campaign, but hypothetically, in a universe where I didn’t own a hand-sewn bill cipher throw-pillow and yet somehow still found this fic, I would definitely be excited for it after reading! you’re gifted, and i hope this does numbers on AO3. I truly cannot stand hazbin hotel, but I may go back and read your other works once this one’s over, just to hear your narrative voice. it’s a voice worth hearing, and may it be forever amplified.

APPLEJACKIFICATION... that made me laugh. Dipper will get some serious development before the end of the eclipse plot and he's key in the next plot, so I think that'll help him make some progress. But yeah—he's not gonna be as important as Mabel, but I do want to make sure he has a plot that stands on its own, smaller though it may be.

It's 2/3 planned, 1/3 improvised. 😁 I've got a lead time of about 15 chapters between what I've posted and what I've written, so I can do stuff like write the poppet chapter, write the tooth fairy arc, edit the poppet chapter, realize that as long as I'm giving him a bloody lip maybe I can loosen his tooth, edit the tooth fairy arc, have him mention that that tooth was loose. And many chapters I haven't written or outlined yet I have loosely planned in my head so I know how to aim toward them.

Wanting to show kindness to all the characters and wanting to give as many of them an internal life as possible is so important to me, and I'm so glad that's showing through so far!

And honestly I think "I hate [xyz] but I'll read it if you're writing it" is the highest compliment. 😂 All my hazbin fics were written pre-season 1 when all we had was the pilot, a couple comics, creator comments, and some Helluva to go by; but idk maybe you'd consider that a plus lol. (If you're interested, on ao3 I've also written Transformers, Godzilla, some Pokémon, and a smattering of other things.)

My Running Thoughts on DFF (Episodes 1-4)

Just started and caught up with DFF, thoughts from my watch for episodes 1-4 are below

Episode 1

Okay but people not hearing from someone is kind of the definition of disappeared

"Don't over think it he probably just moved" lol very comforting

Okay why are you smoking with asthma--I assume this will be related to how he dies, you better keep your inhaler on you at all times when the horrors start

Hmmm some relationship red flags from this guy

Lol our killer getting a bit handsy lol, but what are the actual logistics of that?

Throws cigarette over the railing, starts a fire, end of show--it's all a PSA: only YOU can prevent forest fires

Lol did he just bite his dick to make a point 😂 That's right stand your ground, bite his dick!

Okay so is this a real person or supernatural? Cause the hand and now only one person is hearing weird things. I wonder if there will be a trend of the newbies not hearing or seeing things for a while

Oh wow they actually used a busted bike for shooting, love that, truly delightful

Love that they give us these behind the scenes it's a nice reprieve from the spooky spooky. It reminds me of something I read on tumblr about how blooper reels serve a similar role to curtain calls for tragedies, they let us know that the actors are okay after all and it's all a show. I will now take all horror with bloopers please! sincerely, a resident scaredy cat

Alright I enjoyed that even if I won't sleep tonight, that mask is so well done and I'm starting to get a feel for the characters

Episode 2

Ah yes separate from the group that's smart

This is why you don't go off on your own in a horror show, and your even one of the ones convinced it's supernatural man

"Thai ghosts can do anything"...Oh interesting that they're making that explicit distinction. If my understanding is right, thai phee can be physical and there's less of a distinction between corporeal vs incorporeal, ghost vs monster. So they're setting the possible stakes and genre. This is a western style slasher but if it is supernatural we'll likely be operating on thai rules for that not western ghost stories. Heck it might mean that this is both physical and supernatural.

Guys, I don't think getting rid of evidence is going to make a ghost move on from its attachments

Okay physical knife but hallucinated choking. I like that they're playing with whether this is a person or supernatural. It totally fits with the emphasis on this potentially being a thai ghost. Cause it's hard not to waver back and forth.

Ghosts don't use wire, but like Thai ones could technically, but I guess that's a lot of extra work when you could do anything else as a ghost. I'm really liking how it's playing that line. Is this supernatural? Is it a slasher? What type of horror is this? We don't know yet, the characters certainly don't either.

Did the uncle's body just move?

The end song is very pretty, not what I'd choose for a horror show but it is a nice safe wind down from the scary

Episode 3

Really liking Ta's acting here, it's obviously a bigger role but he's standing out way more to me than in KinnPorsche

Okay I know we are upset about trust issues, but saying Top shouldn't go alone is smart actually you dumb asses

Sure you can set up the walkie talkies to communicate but then anyone can listen in if they know what channel you tune it to, so watch out

Oh yes let White go get the other walkie talkie alone

Ummm shouldn't you still have it tuned to the outside and try it as you drive out to see if you can reach anyone

I feel bad for the guys who are new. Unless they're in on it. Tan is pretty persistent

I do like that we as the audience are as curious as the newbies about what the heck happened in the past, it's a nice way to draw us in and give that past stakes beyond just a motivation reveal

Okay thank you, no touching or concealing bodies thank you. But good point about attracting animals

I don't know why that attack felt so cartoonish, not in a bad way just visually it read that way to my brain

Voiceplay Visuals: Boy Bands In 5 Minutes (post 1/2)

I really love this video (even though I'm not originally familiar with all the songs), and there is so much stuff that happens on screen that either I would have to limit the amount of screencaps I take (and where's the fun in that?), or just break it up into two parts (maybe more, we'll see how we go).

This video premiered in June 2019, Geoff was in charge of both the arrangement and the video, and this includes 14 songs!!! And there are different outfits for every single one! Which is why this'll be broken into multiple posts.

Starting off with a very quick snippet of I Want You Back by NSYNC...

...which transitions into I Want You Back by Jackson 5! (Also I want all of their shirts)

Got some fairly simple choreography (or simple-looking at least, apart from the very precise group timing), which often has me dancing along with them! 😄

The Beatles! (except it's a Fab Five, not the Fab Four!) Layne is Ringo, the drummer, of course, and I wanna say Geoff is being Paul McCartney, since he plays bass guitar, but Geoff's air guitar isn't left-handed. And Earl and J are just vibing

To whoever had the idea to make the guys do the Single Ladies choreo for Walk Like A Man: I love you 😂

This move is NOT EASY. I've tried it, and yeah I could get about as far down as Earl, despite having a few more physical advantages. J None killed it (made it look easy even), but Geoff actually did a pretty good job of it too (also how tight were those pants, I wanna know) (and rip Layne falling over)

Not always a fan of fedoras, but yeah nah yeah I can vibe with it here (also J is wearing glasses here!)

My my what a mess of a crossover 😬 hopefully they ger rid of this showrunner next year. Imma just focus on the best scene that is the rolivia scene, because having these 2 back together, acting together elevates the show to a higher place again. Kelli and Mariska are so good together, I could watch 40 minutes of just them.

I sooo missed them having their talk in the captain office. The way Liv got her in the first 30 seconds 💀 knew it sdfghjklkjhfdsfgh -I can see it from a mile away Amanda lol- there's no way Carisi doesn't know something is up tho, c'mon if there's one person that knows her like Liv does is Sonny AND he lives with her, no matter how good she is at compartmentalize he definitely noticed something he's just probably giving her space to come to him and he's gonna be okay with it... if they -you assholes- wouldn't have deleted the rollisi scene MAYBE we would have see them talk about it a bit!

Liv was so happy to see Amanda back at the precinct, she had heart eyes lol, and happy to see her back that excited to solve mysteries, yeah she belongs there at svu nothing else makes sense. I was almost waiting on her screaming out in the bullpen 'Oi Brunoo!! Clean up the desk now! Get yourself another one, my georgia peach is coming back!' 😂

also lol their 'banter':

THANK YOUUUU!!!!!! I gotta say, with what I did manage to experience, I kept telling myself every few scene changes "wow. this movie is nothing like what I expected." Did I have expectations? Why, no, I did not. But did the movie still somehow surprise me? Why, yes, yes it did. It also had a lot more blood than I imagined but I was mentally prepared and at least you could see it coming 👍✨

I do want to bring up... the moment where Holland was shaking in the elevator... like a scared puppy 😭😭 like a wet cat. Oh, what a sweet, pathetic (affectionate) sopping wet mop of a man. I was watching it with my best friend and they asked "is there anyone more pathetic than him? well, maybe Ken. no, actually, that's not possible" SDLFSLDFSDF

And during the scene where Holland mumbles to himself in his drunken state "March, March, he's our man, if he can't do it, no one can... Marrrrrch!!!" my best friend asked "hey Keri. are we watching this in March... is your anniversary with Holland in March because his last name is March??" and I was like "YES. GENUINELY I WAITED SEVEN MONTHS" LMAO I take my anniversaries very seriously 😌 and every time Holland would get into a Situation™ they would shout "KERI!!! YOUR MAN!!!!" SDLKFSDLFKHDSFLKD

I also fell for Jackson quite hard. We both kept gushing about how hot he is omfg. That is one fine snacc straight outta the vending machine if I do say so myself!!! I knew I'd like him because his smile is SO HANDSOME but um, but um, but um, I didn't expect to like him as much as I did 😳😳 definitely on the F/O list. I also like the mental image of Ken clapping Holland on the back and saying "Keri's gonna LOVE you!!! I'm so glad she's finally visiting your dimension!!!" and Holland opens his arms like "THERE SHE ISSSS!!! GET OVER HERE, BABY GIRL" and then I run towards him -- run past him and land right into Jackson's arms instead. Holland drops onto all fours and shouts "SEVEN MONTHSSS". I STILL SHIP WITH HOLLAND THO I just... I didn't absorb the movie properly bc I wasn't in the headspace for it and I think it's hilarious that I came into this movie for a Ryan Gosling character and somehow walked out with Jackson 😂😂 but the NEXT TIME I watch this movie I will be READY, I will make sure I'm feeling good and I'll probably watch it with more friends and maybe I'll be able to process it a bit better. The whole time my brain was just like TV static

Like, what the actual fuck??? I hate to say it but he has every right to go on a date (ugh….) but telling reader right after what they just did??? That’s so fucked up and I hope he knows he’s a huge asshole for that. He should’ve said something before so that reader could’ve decided if that’s something she still wants to do with him? Also, having sex with someone else hours before you go on a date with another person is such fuckboy behaviour lmao.

I hope his heart falls out of his ass once he sees reader again and realises she hurt herself and didn’t bother calling or telling him bc he’s an idiot!

I need to reread everything again (there’s so many fics to read and sometimes I mix things up in my head hahaha!) but also, how is this supposed to make reader feel secure with him ya know? Like we know Joel likes her a lot and probably, hopefully lmao, wants to be with her. But how is she gonna really believe that his feelings for her are legit when he fucks her and then goes on a date with someone else?

They both definitely need to have a good long think and then talk to clear things up so they both know if they want to actually work towards an actual relationship or if it’s time to move on.

Also, that scene with the bathroom mirror and Tommy kinda broke my heart :( I can relate to feeling like a fucked up burden so much, it makes me so sad for reader! I’m so glad he was there for her in that moment and that she was brave enough to ask him to stay on the phone.

Anyway! Sorry for the rant but chapter 6 was a wild ride. Hope Joel feels bad and makes things up to reader properly, with some nice grovelling hahah! I’m excited to read the next chapter!
