Hi, so I write songs and poems. They are all based on book couples or smt like that and I was wondering if anyone here would actually be interested in seeing those songs. I had a realization

How similar the situations of Matthias from Six of Crows and Peeta from The Hunger Games are.

The druskelle had drilled it into Matthias' head to loathe and kill Grisha, that they were all evil and it was against the laws of nature for them to exist, similarly Peeta had been hijacked by the capitol to believe that katniss was a monster responsible for all the downs in his life.

Both try to overcome the toxicity, the contempt and revulsion that haunted them day and night, to understand, to allow themselves to love (Nina and Katniss) and not resent themselves for it. The pain they had to face, the guilt that gnawed away at them for feeling like they betrayed their family.

It's not just the blond hair and blue eyes, it's how they fought against the trauma for the ones they loved, the same bitterness they felt when convinced that the other betrayed them, the hunger for revenge they both felt, to not be able to distinguish between what was real and what wasn't, to question their whole beings, and the sheer strength of mind and extraordinary courage they showed. They made it through the storm, never really the same, but stronger.

And do I even have to talk about the loyalty and immense love they have for Nina and Katniss?

Also the parallels when Matthias was imprisoned in Hellgate and Nina did anything and everything to get him out and away from the torture. Peeta in the Capitol being hijacked and Katniss starting a revolution for him.
