I’ve made it pretty clear to the three flies on my wall that listen to me talk to myself that I believe (or I guess head cannon) that Osomatsu is on the Aromantic spectrum and is also a Hypersexual.

When I really thought about it, and I will be pulling from my memory and recent rewatches of the show to try and find instances of Osomatsu exhibiting Hypersexual behavior and I found some but then I really thought about it and I had this thought of like- what if Osomatsu was actually Asexual this whole time?

Like a lot of people don’t even consider it a possibility because Osomatsu competes for top spot in the horny category. Like seriously this man literally needs a collar and a leash for his red rocket, lest it run wild and explode, but when I thought about it I went ‘shit’ because it made sense kinda.

This could just be me projecting (and it probably is) but the Idea that Osomatsu is Asexual isn’t too far fetched like-

We see Osomatsu turn down opportunities to be around women or to be close to women, and like, big deal right? So he chose his own emotions or interests over women who cares?

But then like I thought about how Osomatsu reads dirty porn mags like they’re regular magazines. Like he actually sits there and piles the up to pick the best one like he’s in a library.

I thought about how Osomatsu likes to joke about going on dates and getting laid but when the topic takes a turn to talking about those things seriously he doesn’t seem to care, or gets board.

And the time when he went to the beach to talk to girls and just stood around staring at them because of aesthetic attraction. (And we know for a fact that Osomatsu has no qualms with talking to women in the presence of his brothers)

Have you ever met an asexual? Do you know how many sex jokes these bitches make????

Like, no one makes more sex jokes and jokes about getting laid more then an asexual. Osomatsu is full of sex jokes of all kinda of flavors, but again we see that if the moment arises to take that sex joke seriously he changes topics or tries to keep it a joke. As an asexual myself I can back this up-

Plus, being asexual doesn’t automatically mean you don’t like sex or don’t like experiencing pleasure. It’s on a spectrum, and we know Osomatsu has his moments of self love enough to keep a porn stash handy. I think Osomatsu likes the idea of sex, and how it makes him feel, but he simply lacks the interest to take it seriously or do it with another person. But with the way he and his brothers grew up, no doubt he believes he wants to have sex with another person even if that’s not what he truly wants.

Continuing on the point of how he grew up affecting his way of perceiving sex, it seems like this thing the boys put on a pedestal. It takes priority when the boys died virgins, it works as motivation when they play in the intergalactic baseball tournament. Osomatsu seems to perceive sex as this goal to be obtained, yet he doesn’t seem in any rush to have sex despite how desperate he appears. (So kinda like internalized asexual homophobia)

Anyway, TL;DR: I don’t think the idea of Asexual Osomatsu isn’t as far fetched as people think and I think we should talk about it more because it’s an interesting conversation to have

I don't think I made a single OC during my time in Matsu fandom, but Hazbin's gotten my furry wheels spinning, god damn you. I'm gonna ramble under the cut to try to get my thoughts straight.

-Almaz (Nina Sinclair), squirrel, non-binary. An 80's one-hit-wonder who died in their 30's after self-destructing and overdosing on drugs, is in love with Husk. I've posted plenty about them before.

-Richard Brenning (hell name still undecided), white rabbit, died in his 50's, pansexual male. An 80's star like Almaz, but unlike Mazzie he got more than fifteen minutes of fame as a singer, reality star, and general tabloid menace. The "controversies and scandals" section of his Wikipedia page is longer than Mazzie's entire page. Absolutely covered in sparkles. I know his outfit includes a sparkly purple vest with nothing underneath, and I keep wanting to give him a hat, but Husk already has a top hat so I don't know what to do there just yet. An egotistical little shitheel at first, possibly an Overlord? Almaz looks up to him but he's a bit insensitive about the whole "one-hit-wonder who self-destructed, don't they all" thing. He'll chill out with some character development and eventually settle down with Angel Dust therefore freeing Husk for Almaz to pursue

-Clara? Originally made her to fill a request but I think I'm keeping her. Still need a last name for her, she keeps her birth name in hell. A small black bear, looks more like a teddy bear than a wild animal. Mainly dresses in floral print. Grew up with Alastor and knows he enjoys hunting, but is willfully ignoring the nastier aspects of her "big brother in spirit" in an attempt to preserve her happy childhood memories of him. Was born after Alastor but also died later than he did, in her 60's, I think? If that request stays canon to my OC's then she has a thing for Husk, but Husk is immediately bitter of her connection with Alastor, so that's not going anywhere. Still no idea what landed her in hell. Is "willful ignorance of the fact that your best friend is a serial killer" a sin?

And Husk's family, all of whom I still need to name:

-Husk's ex-wife was a black woman who lived in the middle of nowhere with nothing but her dreams. She moved to a rapidly growing Las Vegas in the 30's to chase those dreams, and started singing songs she wrote in the same bar where Husk would play saxophone with various bands. The two hit it off beautifully and had a wonderful marriage, with Husk spoiling her with gifts and trips and encouraging her singing and poetry... until everything fell apart because Husk just couldn't get his addictions under control, no matter how hard he tried. It's not his fault, exactly... it just sucks for everyone involved. Don't know what would have landed her in Hell, but I do want her to see Husk again so they can try to get some closure. ...and the pronoun use here is a bit strange because I think she'd realize she's transmasc while in hell? I want something where Husk's spouse thought they were a cishet woman in life, but due to Husk's own experience with the Las Vegas queer scene he always had his doubts about that... but he couldn't risk outing himself, so he never said anything while they were alive. They'll meet again, Husk will take their new gender identity in stride and finally get to come out to them as pansexual, maybe they'll try to rekindle their romance but the spark is fully dead on the spouse's side, Husk desperately needs this closure before he can pursue anyone else. He doesn't expect his spouse to forgive him, he just wants them to understand he never wanted to hurt his family...

-Husk's older daughters, twin girls. Still highly undeveloped, except that they stay close for their whole lives and Husk utterly spoiled them as much as he could while he was still able to see them. Husk has participated in princess teddy bear tea parties, I will die on that hill. They were preteens/early teens when their parents divorced, and a year or two after that their mother stopped letting Husk see them because he's a drunk deadbeat piece of shit. I'm so sorry, Husk. They started families of their own, Husk has grandkids, but he has no idea because his daughters never tried to re-establish contact with him in adulthood. They have their fond memories of him, but also some really shitty ones, especially after an event I'll be talking about in a moment. It's complicated.

-Husk's younger daughter, who I want to flesh out for one horrible reason... the idea of Husk losing his daughter in an accident, blaming himself for it for the rest of his life regardless of what he could have done to save her, and sinking further than ever into the addictions that would ruin his marriage in short order. I'm so sorry for doing this to you, everyone who's involved. She's in Heaven now, and if Husk ever ascends there will be tearful reunions god damn it please

I haven't decided on species for Husk's family, but none of them are cats; the cat thing is specific to him for his manner of life and death, figuratively drowning in alcohol before literally drowning in a lake. Cats hate water, after all. The others don't have that connection to cats. I'll figure them out eventually.

I think I'm done with them enough to post, so here's the playlists I made:

Mizuki's was harder to put together since I had to consider songs that match the way the present their self, and songs that match how they actually are and feel. (I fit songs that represent them, not things they'd really sing btw)

I kept adding and removing songs because I overthink a lot but the songs do fit them lyrically. Playlist is organized first with positive, energetic songs to match how they present their self. As it plays, the songs stay energetic but aren't as positive or optimistic and become aggressive lyrically, a lot of them somewhat being things Zuki would say to themself, Favorite Liar is a good example of this. Favorite Liar and Bitchboy are there mostly to fit with Akita as they grew up together, their tastes are pretty similar, except Mizuki changed a lot more which I'll explain eventually

The Flavor of a Cockroach is the song that I think really splits the playlist in half, the songs after that are more representative of Mizuki's true feelings and essentially them experiencing burnout, unable to keep up the act anymore. I don't wanna explain every song cause I think it'll be too much on one post but if you're curious, feel free to ask me I love answering questions.

Akita's playlist is also sorta messy but songs still all work for them. If I could use only The Oozes and Metric songs I probably would because they're perfect tone wise. Akita is very aggressive with their singing and has a hostile persona for their performances but as a person, they're blunt but very caring for others. They still occasionally pick fights like she and Mizuki did in their youth but she isn't as sadistic and see's brawls as pointless fun instead of a form of lashing out. (I gotta explain Akita for things to make sense cause I have never said a word about her despite thinking of her all the time)

Ugo is a song that's really about Akita's and Mizuki's relationship before Zuki split. The couple songs after that are things they'd sing but the lyrics are similar to the sorta story I have going on between Zuki and Akita. Akita was basically abandoned by Zuki when they were younger as they just disappeared one day and no one gave a shit about them gone except Akita. Mizuki left without saying a word and also avoided any form of contact from her as they convinced themself that she'd hate them for running. So Akita at some point joined a band and based some of the things they'd perform on actual feelings, and one day while traveling with the band to Japan, found Zuki (Mizuki actually found her and went to see her).

I'm skipping talking about Fahrradsattel and Wet for reasons. What You Waiting For? is where Akita and Mizuki meet again and Akita starts questioning why Zuki changed and seemingly became a nobody compared to the brutal fighter they once were, she doesn't understand why they became so different and hangout with people they'd both once considered weak and a waste of space (Akita is very harsh about things and immediately, she and the Matsus don't really like each other (and Totoko and Nyaachan very much despise her btw)).

Littlefang might be out of place there but it's a personal favorite of mind, I care about the song a lot and wanted to include it. It'd be a song Akita would perform (the actual character in this song is supposed to be a cat puppet but we're ignoring that for dog themed band reasons) the song as way of connecting with people ig, adding to the last songs, she doesn't wanna change herself to please others and wants others to believe it too (especially Mizuki). The song is very different from the bands usual thing but I like to think Mizuki's optimistic personality rubs off on her when she performs it and it ends up working out. (I just really like this song teehee <3)

I still don't wanna explain every song rn but if your curious about any choice, feel free to ask. I don't mind explaining story stuff and I like talking about these two dorks.

Biopic (with Matsu Dodo)【UTAU Original】

Hi hello yes I have the silly brain disorder that makes me dissociate and have an entire high school classroom in my head, so I made a song about it.

"Biopic" is the opening track on my album "11:11", and it features the vocals of UTAUloid Matsu Dodo.

Biopic is a track that, in it's rawest form, is about being a system, living with a trauma-based dissociative disorder, and how these factors affect the relationship you form with your memories. I have a dissociative disorder, and I am a system myself, which is why I went with this theme.

The goal I had in mind when creating "11:11" was to have it sonically transition from industrial distortion to electronic to piano ballads. So as Biopic is the first song, it's arguably one of the most distorted, industrial, and aggressive tracks in the whole album. Despite this, it simultaneously has a more melancholy sound to it in comparison to other industrial tracks on the album.

Overall, I wanted it to have a more spaced-out sound to it, simulating dissociation in a way. I like to think of the aggressive beats and noise amongst the dissonant synthesizers as representative of memories (more specifically, traumatic ones) and how sudden and chopped up in nature they can be in contrast to the present, to sufferers of dissociative disorders.

The song samples slamming doors, breaking glass, and screaming. Briefly touching on the scream for a moment: It's actually from an audiobook I played a role in. It's from Chapter 15 of The Omega Event, in which [SPOILER INCOMING] the character I play (Hunter Jackson) dies saving his friends. That scream was essentially the conclusion of me playing the role of Hunter Jackson, a character that legitimately changed my life. Playing him was the one thing that got me through the bullshit I faced in 2020. So make of that what you will.

With the artwork and music video, I had the same idea and goal in mind. As the character at the center flashes and fades in and out of sight and videos play in his silhouette when he isn't visible, his surroundings are somehow staying perfectly still. For myself and my system, this is how a lot of our memories manifest to us in our mind. They feel contrasted to reality, to our surroundings, and to what we truly know. They feel distant.

The artwork was created by my really talented friend, Blythette. And the video was created by myself and my alter, Ryuto. (For context, some of my headmates and I go by our own separate aliases online. Hence why Ryuto is credited under his own alias and not mine.)

FUN FACT, most of the videos that play in the character's silhouette throughout the music video are old videos of ours which were taken while we were in middle school and high school. There is only one clip that isn't the case, and that is the very first one with the sunflowers, as that one is a stock clip. I wanted to include sunflowers because I have a very positive association with them in my memories, mainly pertaining to an individual I was really close with in childhood.

Getting into the lyrics, overall they're about experiencing loneliness as a system amongst your memories. As a system, we chose to make each other our family over a large portion of our actual family. However, despite how close we are with one another and how familial we consider each other, it feels like that isn't genuinely real due to the fact that we're a system and share a body. It feels like it's all in our head, because the things we went through together were merely in our head and did not manifest into the material world. It's an isolating feeling of having a true family, but only because YOU and YOUR OWN BRAIN made them, not because anybody actually cared enough to understand your reality.

Okay I think that's all. Overall this is one of my favourite songs I've made thus far, both musically and lyrically. I'm extremely proud of it!

Huh, you know, this is very strange because usually I have playlists or songs I associate with specific characters for my original stuff, but for TCOL, I do not right now. NSFW - As is stated in my blog introduction, I don't really do NSFW. I can imply it, or kind of skip over it in another way if needed, but I will never straight up write about sex.

Gore - I mean, Sengoku Basara is about a huge war, so some gore is expected. I don't mind it, but don't expect me to be too detailed either (because of pacing, mostly). I'll describe the violence as needed, but my main focus is how the characters feel, think and act. So in short, there will be gore, but the detail of it will vary depending on how much it actually matters to the scene, and you don't have to worry about anything too mentally scarring I think.

As for other things, it depends, I'll speak out if I'm not comfortable with something apart from the obvious things. I will put trigger warnings where they're needed, but forgive me if I omit something on accident.

Currently? No.

But, in the future I will! Once that happens, this section will be updated. You can probably expect some Ghost of Tsushima or Final Fantasy stuff when that happens.

I haven't seen a full recording of the musical yet, but I've seen a few clips online (and the entire concept album ofc). I did find a few recordings of songs from a Portuguese show and that was really cool :)) I don't know Portuguese but the singing and actingwas really nice. Esp Light in Hurricane.

Yeah, I definitely feel like I'd get more out of the show if I, you know, watched the show, lol. I listened to some English audio that was recorded in the theatre, and "Playing His Game" sounds a LOT better with the tennis sounds in the background imo. I didn't originally like the song in the concept album but it makes so so much more sense with the context. I'm gonna go look for some totally legal recordings now :))))

Also Matsuda not being in the musical is a CRIME. So, if you had to write a Matsuda-centric song for a Death Note Musical, what would it be like?

AND YES. okay if I were to write a Matsuda song for the musical, it would probably be Yotsuba arc Matsu (I don't think they really did Yotsuba arc in the musical, but it makes the most sense to me because we get Matsu's character and motivation, plus plot). It'd go like this:

> He decides to prove his worth, a bit of a monologue

Maybe I'll actually write a proper version of this, I've been tinkering with writing Rie some songs for the musical so maybe I'll do Matsu one too! It's a bit of a different structure, musical songs vs regular songs vs poems, but I think I'll do that. Yeah, it'll be fun. I'll write it later, I have a few other requests to work on as well!

I just noticed your passing thought on Blackstar (I think it’s BLACKSTAR: Theater Starless) & just wanted to ask what that game is about, what are your thoughts about it, & who is your favorite character or team (any answer is fine)? Also, if translations are not possible, how about just talking about your opinions on Blackstar’s story, events, songs, etc.?

It's about a show restaurant (Theater Starless) that puts on shows based on classic literature ranging from Western to Japanese. There are different teams that have different vibes/genres to them.

Those who work in Theater Starless are so-called "social rejects" in one way or another, the plot gets pretty crazy so I can't explain it all in one go, but conflicts between characters are what drive the story.

The game can be pretty fanservice-y which is friendly for those who yume like I do, but there's aspects like mystery, action, and drama in the plot that got me hooked. The plot can be better of course, but it's pretty good at catching your attention. Wish the gacha rates were as kind though

If you know about my Twitter account, it's very very obvious who my oshi is... (echoing voice: Yakou, Yakou...) I can't recall when and how I first fell for him but I was devastated during his hiatus from Starless

I even made a PowerPoint presentation about Yakou to show my friends (an excuse to ramble about him)

I talk a lot about the game, its events, and its songs on my Twitter account! I absolutely love songs from BLST, I have a playlist of all their songs I listen to on my way to school or whenever I go out. I really can't get enough of it. I love how each team has a different genre to them that is even apparent in their songs.

For example, "Breaking It Faster" is sung by Akira, a rock song, but you wouldn't guess it was from the literature piece "Romeo and Juliet" because of their vibe. It's a given but I'm in love with Yakou's voice, his singing voice is so satisfying to listen to, Akira and Zakuro too. (love u Matsu-nii, Kobataro and Shakemii) Everyone in the cast have such unique voices, I like the way that the singers are either industry professionals (band vocalists, theater singers, a rapper, soloist) and utaites (like Kradness)

Updated favorite commissions as of Hoshi wo Tsunagu + general commission opinions

Ichika - Made to Order. Overall her commissions are fine, though I prefer the VS versions of both Pulse of the Meteor and Hoshi wo Tsunagu (the tuning man... the tuning). Still not the biggest fan of her

Saki - Teratera/Show Off. Commissions overall are great. Stella is a close second place for me; I prefer the VS version of From Tokyo; and Aioi made me cry, it's beautiful

Honami - Still very close between Stage of Sekai and Flyway. Not a huge fan of Hare wo Matsu, probably because I'm just not big on Orangestar. Then again I'm not super huge on halyosy and then we got Flyway and it blew me away so. Edge still goes to Stage of Sekai though

Shiho - Voices. Yuyoyuppe is one of my favorite producers. However, Shiho literally does not have a bad song. You could put any of hers in the top spot and it would be correct

Minori - Tenshi no Clover. Worldwide Wander is right behind it. Dream Place and Teammate are both fine, but the latter especially really isn't my thing. I'm not a huge HoneyWorks fan. My opinion on Dream Place may go up when the full version is released

Haruka - If. Ai no Material is dragged down by MEIKO, and Float Planner is fine. Don't have much to say about her, but I do hope her next song is better. Her commissions tend to be more just good rather than great imo

Airi - Momoiro Key. Icedrop and More! Jump! More! are also very good. Still don't like Parasol Cider. Something about it just annoys me and I don't know what. It's just not for me

Shizuku - It's between Metamo Re:born and I Am, We Are. Color of Drops is fine, and Luka's tuning is surprisingly good in it

Kohane - Hitsuji ga Ippiki. Very funky, very Kohane. Beat Eater is also fantastic, and I think I'm in the minority of people who actually genuinely like Flyer. It makes me happy

An - Gekokujo/Giant Killing (yes that is the official translated title at least according to Apple Music). So... this song and event leaked around the time of my grandmother's funeral. I'm still grieving the loss, but this song has helped so much. Awake Now and Machi are both fantastic, and Forward is fine, though I want more of the guys

Akito - Kashika. Can't wait for the full version in three weeks (as of posting this). Akito is like Shiho, though; you could put any of his commissions as the top one and they'd be right. Let's hope that continues

Toya - Rad Dogs. Still hasn't been topped. Mirai is good though, and I recognize why people like Utsuro wo Aogu, even though I still don't like it that much. Hoping this Hiiragi Magnetite commission is his and it's good

Tsukasa - Mr. Showtime. I do not like Tsukasa--or WxS, really--that much. It's the character voices that get me most of the time. However, HitoYama made a banger. I can't stand Tondemo Wonders because of the sound effects, and I prefer the VS version of Eighty-Eight

Emu - Hoshizora Orchestra. Yeah I'm revising my opinion there. I cried when I listened to it with the lyrics. Made me feel warm. Once Upon a Dream is criminally underrated, and Niccori Survey Team's Theme is rightfully loved

Nene - Hakoniwa no Coral. Hot take, this is her first good commission. I do not like OSTER Project or kinoshita much, so that really knocks down Nijiiro Stories and Glory Steady Go for me. I wanted to like Hoshizora no Melody so badly because I like Polypho, but I can't stand them speaking in rhythm rather than singing, and I think MEIKO's tuning is some of the worst in the game here

Rui - What Kind of Ending Do You Want? I honestly flip between his songs though. He's like Shiho and Akito; any of them ranked as the best is the right answer

Kanade - Samsa. Don't get me wrong, I love both Kanade Tomosu Sora and Tricologe. But... KAITO. And Teniwoha. But yeah you also can't go wrong with Kanade

Mafuyu - Engeki. This song. I cried. Enough said. Jackpot Sad Girl is one of the best early game songs, Saisei is criminally underrated, and while bug is overrated and overplayed, it earned that. You can't go wrong with any of her songs in my book, though I'm aware I'm in the minority there. Still don't get the hate for Saisei though

Ena - Nomad. Just... beautiful. But her other songs are also great and again you can't go wrong. Do you see a pattern here?

Mizuki - Kitty. So funky. I think you know what I'm going to say here based on the last three though. Also don't get the hate for kimi no yoru wo kure. Like, at all

hahah well TJ.. as you know you've been very influential when it comes to ships - especially for Naruto. First one that comes to mind is KakaGai, but there's also YamaSai and KankuSai and ShikaCho. All of them I still love <3 Also, thanks to you I shipped GaraShir before I even watched the show. And there are just countless ships from other fandoms that I'm not (really) a part of that I have a soft spot for, because you sell them so well :))

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

Errr I guess you could say HP? But that's not Tumblr's fault - all it did was share the messed up things Rowling said and did and gradully all of the moments HP got tiny kid me through rough and lonely times started feeling like a very big lie and I can't even think of it fondly anymore.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

Oh gosh, so many, but let's go for Fjord from Critical Role. All the little and big steps he takes towards learning to accept himself throughout the campaign and the way they don't come all at once but are spread out over like a hundred plus episodes, including inevitable steps backward. The strength it took for him to walk away from the one who gave him conditional power and to accept unconditional love that is extended by his friends and the Wildmother. His arc just makes me so emotional and happy every time I think about it. I love him and I love his journey and I cannot wait to see it animated.

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.

Yamato from Naruto seems like a perfect friend. He's kind and loyal and usually a reasonable, level headed person who can calm you down in stressed situations. But he's also someone you can have fun with!

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

For Saraiya Goyou: 1) anyone other than me making stuff for it lol. Usually I don't mind it so much, but sometimes I almost desperately wish I would see the tag update and it's not something I made. 2) drawings and fics from the past are mostly for Yaichi and Masa. I'd love more art and writing for other characters and pairings (romantic or otherwise) 3) sneakily shared fan translations of the prequels and spin-offs would be great lol. They're never going to be translated officially, but scans are taken down immediately as well. I bought Futagashira but I have no way of reading it unless I learn to read Japanese myself ^^;

O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?

Shuffle produced Pulling Teeth by Green Day. "I'm all busted up, broken bones and nasty cuts, accidents will happen, but this time I can't get up." That's definitely Meg and Zagreus from Hades. They beat each other up on a regular basis lol and I was so bad at this game in the beginning I got Zag killed by her a lot (sorry Zag..) Not top 10 ship for me, but I like them well enough!

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

1) Matsu from Saraiya Goyou: during my first reread the manga, after I learned that he loved Yaichi, I fell in love with him through his subtle and heartbreaking expressions. That's when I really got to know and understand him more. I love that he's charming as can be for his job, but doesn't know how to behave around his friends. He's so skilled and he knows it, yet has such a low self esteem. He's just a highly skilled, very pathetic little grumpy guy that deserves all the love in the world. And I give him as much as I can. 2) Caduceus from Critical Role: perfect, big, chill cow man who has the best advice and calming words for others, but can't recognise his own problems, let alone how to deal with them. He's so dumb and wise and I love him. 3) Gerry from the Magnus Archives: he's one of those people that seems to be full of contradictions. He's so bitter and stubborn and impatient and crude, but in a way that feels friendly? His life was so full of grief and horror from the moment he was born and he just wants a break from it all, but at the same time he can't stop himself from helping people who are about to fall - or have already fallen - victim to the horrors. The fear and defiance he lived (and died) with is heartbreaking and admirable.

Daki's Death AU

This is an AU I made myself,

( Anyone wanting to use this AU for their own stories, please credit me. )

( My writing isn't the best so constructive criticism would be appreciated. Also, the characters may seem a little ooc, but I assure you its because of the situation and nothing else. )

( Today )

I sit in my room, in a chair, looking into the full body mirror in front of me. The only light in the room coming from two lanterns. I Brush my hair while smiling, humming a soft random tune to a song that doesn't exist. It was morning; therefore, I shouldn't leave my room, I usually don't; and when I do its only for certain purposes. 

I go to my drawer, grabbing multiple hair pins, and a hair tie, as well as a small black container containing red lipstick. Of course I don't need a lot of makeup, I'm all naturally pretty, but there's nothing wrong with adding some extra colour to my lips.

Looking back into the mirror, I put my hair in a bun and add in the pins, as well as adding on the lipstick. I smile, "I'm perfect." I say only above a whisper. "That you are...now go and find that human, of course consume her if needed, it should be no harder than usual...good luck.." A voice inside of me says. Its Gyutaro, my brother. "Of course, I don't need your luck though, It'll be just as you said, no harder than usual." I whisper to him. 

I leave my room, walking down many hallways, multiple greetings from different peoples. I finally make it to the girl's room. I open the long curtain that was her door, "Matsu-Chan...May I come in?" I ask sternly. The girl looks up at me as she was on her knees putting things away in her drawer, her face held no emotion but the a small smile was there. "Yes, Warabihime, sit wherever you like" She says. I come inside closing the curtain behind me. I have to be careful, if this girl really is a demon slayer, all she'd have to do is open those curtains and I'm done for. Wait? What am I thinking, this weak bitch can't do shit to me. 

"I understand we got off on the wrong foot so I'd like to apologize. " I say, putting on a fake closed eyed smile. "No worries, its fine." She says. I raise an eyebrow, it'd seem almost like she was bending slightly over the items in front of her and she was turned the opposite way from me, I couldn't quite see the objects. Is she hiding something? I walk over closer to Matsu-Chan, she turns around, still sitting, the items to her back. "Would you like some help Matsu?" I ask, glaring at her in a harsh manner. "That won't be needed but thank you." Matsu says, her eyes holding still no emotion to them as she looked at me with a small smile. "Hah, so...you're a demon slayer, aren't you? No need to hide it, or are you just some sort of spy? Hm?" I say, a huge smile on my face as a flower-patterned Obi extracts itself from my body and quickly tying itself around matsu, her mouth being covered as well as bounding her legs and arms, holding her in the air. I now take a look at the objects, "Wow really? A sword?" I giggled.

The girl's eyes widen as she lets out a loud but muffled yell, i tighten my Obi around her neck. "Shut up. I'll kill you if-" I start, next things I now multiple people break into the room through the windows, my eyes widen. Demon slayers. I could feel my sin start to burn and my Obi burns away, letting the girl go. "B-BROTHER-!?" I try to yell, there were about three demons slayers, the girl matsu picks up her sword, they all strike for my head, cutting it off. I feel myself burn away, I try to move but I could feel wisteria in my system, someone's blade must've been poisoned. My brother, appears from out of my body, quickly dragging me away from where the sun was shining, but it was to late, all I had was my head and it was burning away. Usually you'd have to cut off both our heads but its different this time. "N-No...Daki! You're okay I-I'm so sorry I'm late you're...you're fine..." He mutters to me, tears starting to form in his eyes. "Brother! Help me, please help me it hurts!!" I plead. The three start dashing towards us. He drops my decaying head and pulls his Sickles out, it looks as if he had teleported right behind them, the three of their heads falls off, now its clear that he had sliced all of their heads off. He turns to me quickly running to me trying to stay out of the sun as he already had a few mars on his body from it, my head almost fully gone, "Wait for me...I'll be with you soon..." He says. Tears pour from my eyes, I cant speak no more, my mouth is gone,  this is his fault, he's suppose to be here for me?! Why didn't he save me?! Everything then turns to black. I'm dead now. 

( That same day but night and from a new perspective )

I sit atop a building, watching people from below, all the lights and noises and such. My body limp, I can't help but wonder, what was it all for? Just to get some useless revenge? Sure it made me feel better in the moment, but I always wanted more. I then look up at the moon. I shall stay here till daytime. So then I can be with my sister.

Its all my fault this had happened, I don't think I've even fully processed it. I'm not completely sure how I should feel. Oh god...I hope I don't get sent to the infinity castle before I reach my death. Would they even do that? Technically, the upper moon six, isn't dead completely. Or in other words me...and my sister? I'm confusing myself...its best not to think of it-

I feel a very dark presence looming behind me. Its him. I stand up and turn around, then bowing to him. "Lord Muzan..." I say sternly. I wonder what's gonna happen. "Your sister was weak and wasn't paying attention. Her stupidity is what led to her death, not you. Upper six, you're very powerful, don't waste all that time and effort and go kill yourself over a puny weak demon. She was holding you down, You didn't need her. " He says, looking down at me. I couldn't help but feel angry at his words. How dare he speak of her that way. She did so much for him, and this is all he has to say!? "Now, go consume more humans and get even more powerful. Don't see this as a setback, see it as an opportunity to be more than what you are now. I have to leave.." Lord Muzan says, then turning around. "Also.." He turns his head to look at me, a horrifying look in his eyes. "If you even think about killing yourself again, I'll kill you myself." He says. 

Oh that's right...He can read minds...I'm not sure how exactly it works but I believe him. Muzan disappears, probably went somewhere in the crowd. I stand up, looking down. "AGHHHhhhhhHHH !! " I scream while looking up at the sky, I was so furious, I've never felt so mad, I don't care if I'm attracting attention, it doesn't matter anymore. I pant, gritting my teeth. I jump down from the building, behind it now where no one could see me, 'what do I do now?' 'where do I go?' 'I've always been here, for centuries!' I ponder, walking behind the buildings with my fists clenched. After awhile, I had calmed down, I found a dirt trail, leading away from the district and I could see that it led two paths one into a forest and another into a village, although it was far, it wouldn't be for me. I decided to go straight and into the forest. My arm was still healing from that sun burn I got earlier. 

After about two hours of walking I reach the forest, I see signs on the outside of it saying to not go in there and stupid shit like that. I walk inside and look around at the trees and such for any human life. I could hear frogs and birds chirping, all sorts of animal noises. It was...peaceful? I continue walking on the dirt path for another hour, then finding myself to be in front of a two story cabin. "Huh..." I mumble, I walk to it and open the door, it was pitch black in there. I search the entire house. There was one bathroom, a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a few closest's.  Perhaps its...abandoned? Maybe there's another demon out here in these woods somewhere. I remember seeing some planks and nails inside one of the closest. I can use those to board up the windows, I'll use my sickles like a hammer since I don't have one but that fine. I suppose I'll be staying here for awhile now, I can feast on the people at that village and also I can just go to the entertainment district as well. I think to myself.

I go into one of the bedrooms and sit on the side of the bed, looking down. I sigh, then looking at the dresser next to me, a picture frame..? I pick it up, wiping the dust off its glass. There were four people, an adult woman and man, and then two children, boy and girl, the boy was getting a piggyback ride from his supposedly father, the supposedly mother and father were holding hands, the little girl holding the maybe mother's hand. "Agh..." I grunt, drops of water falling onto the frame, my hands start shaking, whats happening to me? What is this feeling? Its the same feeling I felt when I watched Daki disintegrate. I drop the frame, looking up at the ceiling, tears streaming down my eyes, "Daki...No..." I whimper out. 

Without her, this eternity is going to be very long. Maybe someday I'll forget her, just like I how I forgot what turned me to be the way I am now.

Discover Weekly <3 it updates every week and i like sitting down and actively listen to the music. i’ve been really utilizing it these past few months and it’s given me a ton of gems. when i really like an artist i check out their other stuff too. occasionally i listen to the suggested songs at the bottom of my playlists. this year i’ve started keeping monthly playlists w all the (new) music i liked that month, sort of like a music diary. it really helps me keep track of it all. and only when i REALLY really like a song is when i give it a like.

i’m crazy and i’m always thinking about this got damn show so my brain WILL find a way to matsu-ify it. mix that with the fact that i’m not too picky about genres, you get some crazy combos

HANAFUNDA SYMBOLISM AND KAGEROU PROJECT

Do you remember hanafuda merchandise of Kagerou Project back then? In case you don’t know which one is it, then here the picture

At first, it’s like Sidu simply put the character in the card. But in fact, there’s some sort of symbolism there

Here are the symbolism in hanafuda card (based on my research, mainly from here and here) and it’s relevance to Kagepro:

1. January  

Mutsuki: affection month  

January - Matsu 松 - Pine

“January is represented by the tsuru (crane) and the matsu (pine). Both are symbols of long life and good luck. The pine tree is known to live for centuries, and never sheds its leaves. No matter how cold the winter, the pine tree stays green and alive.” 

“The month of January is indicated by a Japanese umbrella pine (koyamaki), an evergreen which is one of Japan's five sacred trees.” 

“Legends associated with the trees include the belief that the women who touch the wood will conceive healthy offspring. In some parts of Japan, people set branches of the tree on the graves of their loved ones in order to lead the spirits back to the land of the living.”

Sounds interesting? It’s widely known about Paper Crane symbolism in Shintaro and Ayano’s story. Also, the mention “in order to lead the spirit back to the land of the living” is the same with Shintaro’s desire to have his loved one back to living, and well, it’s happen

After all, the fact that the month is called “Affection month” has correlation with this frame in Children Record Reboot:

Although the quick translation means “Emotion”, but the other meaning of the word is “Affection”

“'A crane gracefully crosses the sky before the glowing red orb of the rising sun on New Year’s Day. An aged pine, pruned as carefully as a bonsai tree, complements the symbolic association of cranes with longevity'.” “The bright card shows a Japanese red-crowned crane (tanchōzuru) in front of a red sun”

Aside from the general symbolism of crane, this one specify about ‘A crane crossed the sky before the glowing red orb’ You know what time is it when sun glows red? Sunset. And well, in Additional Memory lyrics, there’s a mention about “Revolving latern” she saw while ‘crossed the sky’

And the last....

“The text on the red ribbon (also on that for February) reads "akayoroshi". The word is fairly obscure, but means something along the lines of "obviously good" (some say "red is good").”

Kisaragi: changing clothes month

February - Ume 梅 - Plum Blossoms

.... THIS IS LITERALLY HER NAME. (I though like that too when read the meaning)

“February is represented by the ume (plum) blossom, which is the first of the flowers to bloom in the year. The plum blossom and nightingale are frequently shown together to symbolize the coming of spring.”

“Ume Blossoms are often mentioned in Japanese poetry as a symbol of Spring.”

“Japanese tradition holds that the Ume functions as a protective charm against evil.” “The eating of the pickled fruit for breakfast is also supposed to stave off misfortune.“

Indeed, her songs are has some sort of “fight against misfortune” context on them. For herself in Kisaragi Attention and for Hibiya in Otsukimi Recital

“The Japanese Bush Warbler (鶯 Uguisu) - Cettia diphone, is a passerine bird more often heard than seen” “ The Japanese Bush Warbler tends to remain deep in the shadow of foliage during the day.”

It seems, Momo’s job as idol, and the fact that she canonically can sing well, is a reference to nightingale, which is a bird with beautiful voice

3. March

Yayoi: new life

March - Sakura 桜 - Cherry Blossoms

“March is represented by the sakura (cherry) blossom. Although the plum is the first blossom of the year, the cherry tree marks the real beginning of spring, and new life.”

“The cherry blossom is a symbol of the brevity and uncertainty of life. Youth, pleasure, fame, and misfortune, all blossom and fade like the ephemeral cherry blossom. The cherry blossom is a reminder to focus on the present.” “It is a symbol of the brevity and uncertainty of life “

“Sakura also symbolise clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse. They are an aspect of Japanese cultural tradition that is often associated with Buddhist influence and which is embodied in the concept of 'Mono no aware' (which is a Japanese term for the awareness of the transience of things and a gentle sadness (or wistfulness) at their passing).“

Mary, who has very long live, gradually notice that everything change, and everything will not last forever. In fact, this is one of the main theme in Kagerou Project

“The bright card is called the "camp curtain". This was used as part of a Japanese tradition where people would gather in groups to view blossom on trees (hanami)”

This is not relevant for now, but it has relation with the later card meaning

4. April

Uzuki: deutzia flower month

April - Fuji 藤 - Wisteria

“The name for April, Uzuki, refers to the deutzia flower or unohana, a flowering shrub. This is a popular flower in Japan that signals the beginning of summer.”

Satsuki: rice shoot planting month

May - Ayame 菖蒲 - Iris

May is represented by the ayame (iris) blossom. The ayame represents virility and is often displayed on Boys’ Day, May 5th.

The 5-point card depicts the ayame alongside a bridge. This is a reference to a chapter from The Tale of Ise, a collection of poems from the 10th century Japan. The Tale of Ise is a very well known piece of Japanese literature.

The story is about a member of the Imperial Court in Kyoto who was assigned to a new post far to the East. He left his family behind in the Capital as he travelled on his long journey. Along the way, he and his companions lost their way.

They came to a place called yatsuhashi, or “eight bridges.” This was a swampy area where a large river split into eight smaller rivers. Each of the rivers was crossed by a bridge. The whole area was filled with blooming irises.

The court official was feeling rather sad, was lost, and missed his wife. The men stopped to rest, and the court official wrote the following poem:

Karagoromo kitsutsu narenishi tsuma shi areba harubaru kinuru tabi wo shi zo omou

Translation:

I have a beloved wife Familiar as the skirt Of a well-worn robe And so this distant jouneying Fills my heart with grief

At first glance, the poem seems to have nothing to do with irises. However, the poem is an acrostic. The first Japanese letters of the Japanese poem spell out “ka-ki-tsu-ba-ta” which is the Japanese name for the species of iris that filled the marshes.

Minazuki: month of water

June - Botan 牡丹 - Peony

The name for the month Mi-na-zuki is an example of ateji. The name Minazuki is made up of three Chinese characters: (water-not-moon). The middle character for “not” was often substituted as the ateji, or phonetic equivalent, for “na” which is the possessive article “of.” So Minazuki can be read as both “the month of water” and “the month without water.”

June is represented by the botan (peony) blossom, a beautiful flower native to China. in China and Japan the peony is a symbol of wealth, good fortune and prosperity.  The Peony is known for its medicinal properties and large fragrant flowers. It is often shown with butterflies in Chinese and Japanese paintings. The flowers are full of nectar and attract many insects.

When depicted in visual art and poetry, tree peonies represent good fortune and prosperity, bravery and honour.

Generally, Kido often associate with dogwood flower (because of Never Lost Word). But, in novel route, it’s shown that Kido live in mansion with her rich family pre-incident, so, it’s probably a reference of that.

7. July

Fumizuki: book month

July - Hagi 萩 - Bush Clover

The exact meaning of Fumizuki is somewhat obscure. Some think that in the lazy days of midsummer, between the planting and harvesting seasons, people had time to write and read letters and poetry. Another theory is that the month was originally Fumuzuki which means “swollen month,” referring to the swelling rice grains in the fields

July is represented by the hagi (bush clover) and inoshishi (wild boar)

The strange animal depicted is a young Japanese boar or inoshisi. In Japan, it is widely seen as a fearsome and reckless animal, to the point that several expressions in Japanese referring to recklessness include references to boars. The boar is the last animal of the oriental zodiac, with people born at this time said to embody the boar's traits of determination and impetuosity. Backwoods folk in Japan sometimes name their sons after the animal in tribute to its qualities. Boars are also seen as symbols of fertility and prosperity.

Wild boars are one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac, and are symbols of bravery and affection. However, to villagers in the mountains the boars can be dangerous pests that destroy crops and gardens.

Sometimes the meat of wild boar was called botan (peony). The meat of deer was called momiji (maple leaf) and that of the horses was sakura (cherry blossoms). In this way the pious Buddhists could pretend to eat as vegetarians.

The flora for July is Japanese bush clover, also known as lespedeza or, in Japanese, hagi. It is associated with melancholy and unrequited love

8. August

Hazuki: leaf month

August - Susuki 薄 - Silver Grass

The name for August, Hazuki, refers to the changing seasons and the falling leaves. August features the suzuki (similar to pampas grass). Some players in Hawaii call the card with the harvest moon, “bozu” (slang for bald-headed). Tsukimi, or moon viewing, is the fall counterpart to cherry blossom viewing. Like the first yaku suggests both cherry blossom viewing and moon viewing are often accompanied by the drinking of sake, or rice wine. The traditional date for moon viewing is August 15th.

JIN. Jin, you did not plan the Kagepro plot while playing hanafuda... right?

August is represented by maiden silvergrass, also called eulalia or susuki grass. Traditionally, the grass was used to thatch buildings and for feed for livestock. It is one of "the seven flowers of autumn" (along with bush clover, above)

The card with wild geese shows the seasonal migration of birds. In the fall geese migrate from Siberia and Northern China to spend the winter in Japan.

9. September

Nagatsuki: long month

September - Kiku 菊 - Chrysanthemum

Nagatsuki, or long month, marks the beginning of autumn when the nights begin to be longer than the days. September is represented by the kiku (chrysanthemum) blossom.

The large yellow blossoms of the chrysanthemum are a fitting symbol for the radiant sun.

The Chrysanthemum is also a symbol of longevity because of the long life of the blooms. There is a legend of a place in Japan called Chrysanthemum Mountain. It is said that if you drink from the stream where the petals of the chrysanthemum fall into the water you will be blessed with long life. The 5-point card depicts the kiku next to a stream with a sake (rice wine) cup. Inside the wine cup the character for “longevity” is written. It was a common tradition to sprinkle chrysanthemum petals in one's wine and drink them as a way to ensure long life and happiness.

Ah, yeah, Crysanthemum. Where we ever see that?

I think I don’t have to explain more. But it seems, the colour of the crysanthemum in the MVs is supposed to be yellow (?)

Royal crysanthemum has 16 layers petals, which is interesting because Ayano died presumably on 16 years old.

10. October

Kaminazuki: month of the gods

October - Momiji 紅葉 - Maple

In this month, all of the 8 million Shinto gods leave their provincial shrines to congregate at the Great Shrine in Izumo (Izumo Taisha)– the center of Shinto religion

Like the month of June (Mizunazuki), Kaminazuki (October) can be interpreted two ways. It can be read as the “month of gods” or “month without gods.” In this case, both readings can be correct whether you are in Izumo or not.

October features the autumnal colours of falling Japanese maple leaves (momiji or kito). These symbolise calm, rest and peace.

The Stag on the card 'Momiji ni Shika' represents gentleness. Together with the red Maple, they are a symbol of longevity.

This suit is more commonly known as 'Shika' (鹿) (Deer) in Japan.

Seto Kousuke, a gentle person who loves deer. 

11. November

Shimotsuki: frost month

November - Yanagi  柳 - Willow

November is known as the yanagi (willow), or ame (rain) suit. The willow tree is a symbol of grace and strength. In China and Japan, the willow symbolizes the traits of an ideal woman.

November's suit is a bit strange as it is as much about rain as it is about the plant depicted, which is willow (yanagi – a Japanese word also used for a long, thin-bladed knife thought to resemble one of weeping willow's cascades). The tree is associated with ghosts and spirits.

The tsubame (swallow) is often shown with the willow. They are seen as good companions and are symbols of happiness and harmony.

The other notable figure in the November suit is the man with an umbrella. This man is the famous Heian period calligrapher Ono no Toufuu

The lone junk card for this month is called the lightning card (or gaji in Hawaii where it is most likely to be singled out). In some games, it can be used as a sort of super-card or joker. It is the only card in a hanafuda deck which does not show its month's flower (so players have to explicitly remember which month it comes from). Instead, it depicts a (rather abstract) storm scene with rain, and sometimes a devil's claw, coming down from the sky to beat on a drum. The dark rectangles are possibly the torn camp curtain (see March).

Note that Korean games swap the months of November and December around.

12. December

Shiwasu: priests run

December - Kiri 桐 - Paulownia

This month's symbol is the princess tree (aka paulownia, aka empress tree, aka foxglove-tree) known in Japanese as kiri.

The phoenix card is known in Hawaii as the tori (chicken) card. The phoenix (Hō-ō 鳳凰) is the symbol of righteousness and often connected with the empress. It is a representation of the mandate from heaven giving the Emperor the authority to rule. Legend says that only the kiri tree is beautiful enough for the phoenix to land on.

this mythical bird represents fire, the sun, justice, obedience, and fidelity.

According to Chinese legend, the Hō-ō appears very rarely and only to mark the beginning of a new era. In other traditions, the Hō-ō appears only in peaceful and prosperous times and hides itself when there is trouble. As the herald of a new age, the Hō-ō decends from heaven to earth to do good deeds and then it returns to its celestial abode to await a new era.

It is both a symbol of peace (when the bird appears) and a symbol of disharmony (when the bird disappears).

The Kiri tree beautiful enough to phoenix to land on. As shown in the card, Konoha is on Kiri tree side, while Kuroha (saeru) is on pheonix side. (As like Saeru posessed Konoha (?)

And the fact it means mark the beginning of new era -> mark the beginning of timeline?

By the way, if you ever play this card, you know about the bright cards (The highest value card);

having a class 3 autism moment

just imagine a season where nyaa chan and totoko chan rework their image as a team but arent sure how to move forward. osomatsu very awkwardly reconciles with nyaa and they become awkward friends. therefore nyaa gets more and more sucked up into sextuplet shenanigans

the sextuplets finally realize the girls are Worried about their careers. totoko is getting more and more anxious about where she's gonna end up as she really starts to face the reality of her situation. nyaa has a toddler to feed, bathe, clothe, and nurture, but its sucking her soul right out of the tits. so theyre in a Bind. and the boys are like WE CAN HELP <- incompetent

ichimatsu takes totoko and nyaa to a local specialty pet store where he sometimes gets cat food/toys if he won big at pachinko. they have a giant specialty fish section where he thinks they might be able to get inspiration, since totoko's experience with fish is largely with the fish you eat instead of more colorful, decorative varieties. (bonus concept: totoko gets neon tetras and sets up a fish tank hauntingly similar to the one in perfect blue.)

i also just want an excuse to brainstorm about the cat and fish theme and how they can blend that together without making totoko the "loser". maybe totoko's character is a fierce carnivore, reflected in her costuming - even when she has a food themed costume (like sushi/sashimi or caviar or what have you), she's still characterized as fighting yowai (nudge nudge). nyaa obviously has a very cutesy youthful image as an idol, so maybe she's playing a playful kitty who likes water and befriends a fierce shark or something. maybe they're fierce rivals to reflect the combative nature of their actual relationship, but with a cutesy tone so that they still get the pop idol branding while being able to have a unique and interesting stage presence

strategically making nyaa chan's character more silly and lowkey would be an excellent excuse to give her less complicated / draining choreography compared to totoko, who is much more fit and capable. she still has a few solo songs / solo dance routines as to not throw the audience off, but she overall has less challenging choreo so she has energy to spare for her home life

also i really just think itd be fun to have a roundtable with all the matsus and totoko and nyaa and a few other friends of theirs all hotly debating what totoko should do with her image. and everyones trying to make it their own but still fiercely defending her honor. and totoko's like "i knew these people loved me all along but they really do love me, dont they?" and itd be nice i think. also more nyaa chan we deserve more nyaa chan. milf mondays
