Love Hollow Knight! I l would always travel up to Mato’s hut because I thought he’d have a ton of extra dialogue, given he says he thinks of us as his child and all. Sadly, he doesn’t have any more than Oro or Sheo (in fact he probably has the least amount of dialogue of the trio since you can get more by giving Oro the flower and sparing the Nailsmith who heads to Sheo’s), but it was one of very few places it felt less lonely to be in.

Okay, here are a few random ideas I thought of:

The village coming back to life as people find it again, and Elderbug watching happily

Young Hornet, possibly with her mom or with her nail when it was too big for her.

Sly before he becomes a merchant, when he was the Great Nailsage. Possibly while he was teaching young Oro, Mato, and Sheo.

Cloth reuniting with Nola. (Nola us mentioned a lot by cloth, but Nola is never actually seen in the game.)

Decided Sly gets to have had a fluffy collared cloak in the past that the Nailmaster Brothers decided to copy for their own signature cloaks. Honestly, everyone deserves a fluffy collared cloak.

Grimmchild's existence is sad Nightmare lantern/The Troupe's corpse aren't far from Dirtmouth in Howling Cliffs, so Grimmchild out of grief and rejection would be compelled to return back to the last thing it senses familiarity towards.

The child eventually meets Mato upon getting lost on their way and/or he notices the lost little floating scarlet flame
