Even though his last two movies were giant ass turds that have been completely forgotten, it's still a headcanon and arguable fan theory that a lot of Robert Zemeckis movies and productions all take place in the same universe, kinda like how all of Quentin Tarantino's movies share the same universe or a couple of Robert Rodriguez's movies share the same universe as well.
• I Wanna Hold Your Hand
• Used Cars
• Romancing The Stone
• Back To The Future Trilogy
• Who Framed Roger Rabbit
• HBO's Tales From The Crypt (at least a few stand-out episodes)
• Death Becomes Her
• Forrest Gump
• Tales From The Crypt Presents Demon Knight
• The Frighteners
• Contact
• What Lies Beneath
• Cast Away
• Matchstick Men
• The Polar Express
• Monster House
• Flight
and
• The Walk
Does anyone agree or disagree?

I enjoyed this movie thoroughly. It made us fall in love with the main characters. But I wanted so much for the theme of family to overcome the theme of scams. This would have been a Must Watch if it accomplished that.
Matchstick Men is a 2003 black comedy film directed by Ridley Scott, and based on Eric Garcia's 2002 novel of the same name. It stars Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, and Alison Lohman.

HEADCANON:
Just for fun and also because he's one of my favorite filmmakers (even if his last two movies were huge turds), I like to think personally that a lot of Robert Zemeckis movies including ones that he produced are all set in the same universe as each other.
— Romancing The Stone (1984)
— Back To The Future (1985)
— Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
— Back To The Future Part II (1989)
— Back To The Future Part III (1990)
— Death Becomes Her (1992)
— Forrest Gump (1994)
— Tales From The Crypt Presents Demon Knight (1995)
— The Frighteners (1996)
— Contact (1997)
— Cast Away (2000)
— Matchstick Men (2003)
— The Polar Express (2004)
— Monster House (2006)
— Flight (2012)
and
— Welcome To Marwen (2018).
Others that could be in the same universe are potentially....
— I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978)
— Used Cars (1980)
— What Lies Beneath (2000)
— Thirteen Ghosts (2001)
and
— The Walk (2015).
What do you guys all think?

MATCHSTICK MEN- 2003 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have you ever been dragged to the sidewalk and beaten til you pissed blood?
Nic Cage plays a weird con man with bad ocd who may or may not be mentally challenged. He gets back in touch unexpectedly with his estranged daughter whos now a teenager. She comes to stay with him which interferes with his work....
Cage is just ridiculous in this. Total loose cannon. Very funny. I found the movie very strange. Some of the scenes of Cage bonding with his daughter were quite heartwarming. Alison Lohman plays his daughter and does a great job. Sam Rockwell costars also.
Directed by Ridley Scott.
