I need like to confirm like i think i saw something like iza is in love with love... Not in love with a person, but only the love itself... I'm sorry if this ask is too vague...

Oh no it’s not vague at all!

In general, yes, Iza is in love with love. As in, “I’m in love with the feeling that I’m loved” (not alone, so alone. Stoke my ego then me into God. I am God.) sorry obligatory song lyrics but, it is possible for him to love the person, except...sometimes that can take a while for it to be realized and with his skewed view on love: “In order for someone to love me, they have to love my body.”//“Selflessly I should give into every desire of their choice”//“I must improve them or tear them apart trying.”//“I must completely and devotedly protect them and destroy enemies.”//“They are the entire world and they are either with me or against me.”//“Everything I do for them is meant to be good, even if it means killing.”

And often, this means he would love the feeling of being appreciated/cared for and because of how actual quite insecure he is; he would confuse their feelings of genuine happiness for being in love with him. If they were to admit they are in love with him he would ask if they are joking and even deflect such a thing by taking it as a compliment because he has a hard time believing someone truly loves him. This disbelief also stems from how he was raised: A father figure, aka his first master, was often not there or he was there but did not pay much attention to him. He loved his pet cat from a distance, while Iza at such a young age practically latched himself to their pant leg in hopes of some sort of praise or affection. His First would often hold Iza and carry him but was never quite attentive toward what Iza wanted, as in, he would hold and carry Iza but they would simply not pet and give him affection. This Is also why he loves to be carried or cradled, it helps relax and make him go to sleep. It was rare, but more often than not, it would be Iza who would constantly bunt his head onto theirs silently begging for love. But, by the end of his time with his First and events that taught Iza the lesson of “Please a man and he will love you for a lifetime” Iza was, well he felt betrayed when he was given away and he felt abandoned. His life changed quickly and found himself with a Second master, Yasui Teijo, who reinforced that lesson and Iza began to learn that power meant being free. Being with his Second wasn’t easy, and Iza was taught a harsh lesson that “If you are not cruel to others, they will be cruel to you.” And his aversion toward people came to be. 1. Out of fear of being reduced to a cat. 2. A fear of abandonment and betrayal. 3. To remain in control he must be able to keep people at arm’s length and use them as he saw fit. 4. Feeling inferior. 5. Developing a “God Complex” or a feeling of “Being untouchable.”

Of course, his story doesn’t stop there but as far as his early life you can see, his view on love is more like he needs to please and keep them happy. It’s, in a sense, one sided and eventually resent will grow. Now... it is possible for him to develop deep romantic feelings off a sexual-only relationship as he gets to know his partner but he would confuse the feelings for something else. “These are just fight or flight senses. I don’t feel actual..love for them what? That’s wild hahaha.” But it is important to remember that in his canon he does not outwardly present himself as his sexuality. Honestly, someone would not know he’s gay unless he outright flirted with another guy, but that is the case in his story. It’s a little different in roleplay in my opinion.

Iza also is quite keen on beauty, as he does not like “ugly” things such as “ugly emotions” like anger, or jealousy, or so on but it’s quite hypocritical of him since he often experiences those “ugly emotions”. But what’s his sense of beauty? Colors on people he can see of course, so if anyone is blond, with blue or green eyes, Iza will literally have a “love at first sight.” Moment but it would be in the literal sense of: he would be in love with their appearance.

He can easily fall for someone’s intelligence as well. He’s quite fond of smart people because he constantly needs some sort of intellectual stimulation.

But the real question: How do you get Iza to fall in love with you and not parts of you?

Honestly, that question is quite difficult to answer. What I’ve noticed is he responded best toward men who were honest with who they were, essentially, the opposite of how he is. As in, if they were evil or a trickster in nature, Iza would find that authenticity and personality quite appealing to him because he would feel a connection toward them and would easily open up. If they are not evil and a genuine good person, the chances of Iza opening up is low, even non-existent. But like every flower that is slow to bloom, he would eventually open himself up as he begins to learn to trust them. Truthfully, Iza is just a scared, small animal that lashes out to protect himself because that’s the only way he knows how. Especially when someone he doesn’t completely trust yet, pushes him to open up more. All because he doesn’t want them to know just how “weak” he actually is. But Iza’s life lesson is to learn to love himself and to find emotional balance. Of course, intellectual stimulation and a pretty face to look at are also a bonus to that life lesson, and it’s honestly...quite a hard lesson for him to learn. (And of course there are acceptions, especially if you look at IzaIza. It’s toxic and Iza is frankly in love with that flea bastard. I could go into so much more detail about that ship and how it developed from being “masterxpet” to their now, Two guys not admitting their feelings for each other cause they not gay.)

But I hope this answers and clarifies things for you.
