no, i applied between december and february. every university has its own deadline for applications, but as far as i know most of them start the process around dec-jan.
I need help from anyone currently doing their thesis or that has done it...how do you decide on a topic?
This feels like a silly question but I was given very incomplete and, in some aspects, completely wrong information about my final project and only now did I discover I have to do the thesis no matter what. However I don't really know how to go about deciding on a topic that's good enough for something this serious!
People keep telling me to work on something I'm passionate about but to be completely transparent my interests don't intertwine themselves with my area as weird as that might sound, so if anyone has any other help like where and how to find research gaps in different areas, how to understand if something might be considered relevant etc I'd be extremely grateful to hear it💫

Classes don't start until January 16th for Spring 1 semester. I already bought my digital textbooks so I can get ahead. After looking at the syllabus, we are reading 2 chapters a week. 🥴 That already has me worried.
What I decided to do is skim the book and type out any vocabulary and recreate any charts that come out in the book in my notes. Do y'all have any other ideas?
I rearranged the meeting with my tutor and we set out what I wanted to do to improve this prototype and how to achieve that. My storyboards worked well as an aid to show what my vision was.
In searching for inspiration, I came across an art style I experimented with but threw away. It inspired me again. I love the simplicity yet eye catching nature of it, the gradients work well with the layering to add depth. Most of the assets are still good, they just need some tweaks.
As well as adapting the art style, I also began rescale the assets as some were not the same and it was causing problems in Unity. By the assets sizing being equal, it will make it easier to import everything into Unity and the additional editing will not be needed.
I felt confident in what I had to do, however, the feeling of illness became worse and I was suddenly very sick and bed bound. This means I cannot work at the moment and I will take a break to recover.
I have finished my 4 month volunteering program in a museum so here’s an overview of what it was like!
-Firstly, why did I start this volunteer work? Well I discovered during my time in university that the national museum and monument institution offered the opportunity to volunteer in some museums and monuments in different departments, and since I was deciding if I wanted to go ahead with my masters and see if archives was truly an area I could see myself in and turn into a career so this was a lovely chance to be sure before making such a big educational investment
-What did I think during the volunteering experience? I was a bit scared during the second month, mostly because during the first I was appointed to research specific books to find references to the museum and then scan what is relevant and I was doing well in such a job and loving it, but after this I was tasked with reviewing all the files they had, review them, get rid of what was unnecessary, reorganise information, scan certain things and put all the information on a data base which was extremely nerve wrecking for me because I have never been very tech savvy. However eventually I got the hang of the system and understood the features a bit better and that made the stress go away
-What I liked the most? It is hard to pick, but I think that the feeling I got whenevr I would find lost or important information that was key for the museum and seeing the progress on the space as the files were organised truly brought me joy, but also the team that works there was absolutely lovely and would make sure to always include us volunteers in reunions and keep us updated on the life of the museum instead of seeing us as just outsiders
-Any cons? Personally the only cons I experienced were really small and superficial. One was simply that because so many things were dirty and the floor was old wood so I could never dress up as I enjoy, and lastly I struggled quite a bit with the computer programs used so I was fairly slow compared to the other colleagues that were with me
To sum it up, I am truly glad I had this chance because not only did it make me feel sure that the masters degree I picked is right for me, but I have also had some time to experience the actual job and know important information that might be useful in some classes and future internship
