Half-Maskers

To be or not to be? To mask or not to mask? Or do you just stay somewhere in the middle "half-masking" it?

Masks have become more than just a way to stop spreading viruses. They have become a fashion trend, a way to express yourself and even more so; a political statement. Not so simple in the sense of wearing one that says Trump or sporting one that says Biden because even though your flashing your political alliance's on your face, the truth behind where you really stand is in whether you wear one or not.

Just going on what I've seen in the world since this "Pandemic" Democrats and Liberals tend to sway towards the "Masking" side, while Rebulicans and Conservatives lean more towards " Non-Masking". (I'm sure anyone reading this would probably agree.)

Keeping that in mind, a Democratic / Liberal would more than likely be wearing a mask with something like, "Biden, Unite, Kamala or some other choice Pro-Dem slogan..." on it. Meanwhile a Republican / Conservative person would more than likely have one stating "MAGA". Ironically, since most Rebulican Conservatives tend to be against the mask wearing, why are they wearing them at all?

Which brings me to the third group of people , the "Half-Maskers". You know who I'm talking about, the guy with the mask barely on his face or the person who reluctantly pulls that dirty one out of their pocket right before they walk into a store, those people. Question is, who are those people? Seems like they don't know who they are themselves?

I know who they are... We all know a guy or have a friend or relative that always seems to be "on the fence" about life. You know that person you ask, "So who are you voting for? What do you think about women's rights?" and instead of answering you stares at you with that "Deer in Headlights" kinda look, that person. These are what I consider the "Half-Maskers".

These are nonconfrontational people, and I get it, not everyone is up for a fight when heading out to the grocery store. Thing is they think by halfway wearing a mask that they are making everyone happy. Truth is, they're not and technically they are (I'm sure without intention) mocking both sides.

So, let's just be honest here. By not wearing it all the way, your statement is, "I really don't believe this" and by even having it partially on your face you're also stating "I'll just sorta comply". How about this, either wear it or not.

This isn't about wearing mask or not wearing a mask, it's about whose side are you on. Times are way different, and they will continue to change at a rapid pace. This isn't a time to stand on the fence or try to play neutral. We are literally at war here.

To most, it might just be a mask. To others, like myself it's a weapon. Yes, that's right a "weapon". A weapon of destruction because not wearing one turns you into a crazy un-masked killing machine (at least that's what TRUE "Maskers" believe), or as a weapon of enslavement. Either way you've literally been given a weapon.

The question is, how are you going to use it?

At this point, I respect both the "Maskers" and the "Non-Maskers", at least they've picked a side. The question is posed to all of you "Half-Maskers" out there. Halfway, is like having a gun without ammo or vice versa...

I'm not asking anyone to load a gun and go to war here, I'm just simply asking for you to chose who you are and who you're going to be.

Either put it all the way on your face all the time, like true "Maskers" or take it off period.

Soms is dat ontdekken wat je verhaal is en daarmee naar buiten treden. Soms is dat de laatste voorwaarden weghalen en ongegeneerd jezelf zijn.⁠ ⁠ En ik weet het: verstoppen is soms makkelijker. Veilig. En dat wil heus niet zeggen dat je nooit wat van jezelf laat zien. Maar er is iets dat je achter houdt. ⁠ ⁠ Je kunt je ook:⁠ - verstoppen achter je ratio. ⁠ - verstoppen achter een te perfect verhaal.⁠ - verstoppen achter humor.⁠ - verstoppen achter je schoonheid.⁠ - en ga zo maar door...⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Vind je het moeilijk om voor jezelf te gaan staan en wil dat je aanpakken?⁠ Ik help je daar graag bij!
