Reasons why I think there's nothing wrong with Victor and Elizabeth's Relationship/marriage is because in the POV of my religion (Islam) and country, there's nothing wrong with it.
Cousin marriages and arranged marriages are allowed in Islam. I saw their circumstances in the OG book as something like that. I could totally see it in Islam history. It was something that I saw as normal and allowed in Islam, and given the context of their origins in the book (Caroline taking Elizabeth to be paired up with Victor), it was okay in the eyes of Islam. So, I genuinely don't see it as wrong, because my religion allows it.
I wasn't vocal for this reason and opinion because I was afraid people in the west would think badly of Islam. I saw people tearing each other down, and I don't want people thinking Islam is bad and weird because I believe their relationship is okay.
I don't see much Muslims in the gothlit community, and I was afraid of people correlating my opinion on VicLiza to think badly of Islam.
So, forgive me if I was aggressive in the past, I was too afraid, and genuinely didn't think I was wrong, because, again, my religion allows it.
For context on the marriage laws in Islam, this is a chart on which family members that are allowed to be married in Islam:
Also, for people saying they see it as an adopted sibling, I never saw their circumstances like that. Here's the reason:
If you think otherwise, you're valid. These are just my opinions based on my religion, Islam.
Also, if you ask me personally if I want to marry my cousin or not, I don't want to. This is because I have genetic health concerns, but it's not the end of the world if someone else marries their cousin because Islam allows it.
He spent his entire life being praised by the educational system for simply doing what he would anyway. Once the praise started to subside he felt as if he needed to prove himself even further and had to hold himself to unrealistic standards. The only way he could feel the same satisfaction he used to is to become better than the best, and to him that meant that he had to become a divine figure. He wanted the praise the world gave god, so he would have to become god
Never did I comprehend this quote more fully than now, after having read Frankenstein, and it pains me to think of the great depths of misery loneliness inflicted upon Frankenstein's creation. How the tragedy could have been averted with one kind glance or one simple word of affection!
Yea, here they are! I apologise for my drawings, I drew them in kind of my style but I couldn’t capture their essence, something that would make them unique, they look all the same in my style, for what I am sorry.
And don’t worry I didn’t draw your design of Victor Frankenstein, there were a lot of them and I decided to draw designs of those mutuals who appear on my dash very often, I like their art or I somehow interact with them! There aren’t very big names, because even though I follow some great and more-known artists in this community, they don’t follow me back, therefore we aren’t mutuals. And this post is dedicated to everyone whom I follow and they follow me back!
And hey! To those whom I don’t follow, thank you for staying with me, reading my posts and liking my art! There is 69 of you guys, thank you everyone. I’ve never thought that in almost two months there will be that much people following me. Thank you once again :)
Remember that I am thy creature; I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed. Everywhere I see bliss, from which I alone am irrevocably excluded.
I made a redraw of another half a year old doodle, this time with the Frankenstein brothers! I haven’t drawn William and Ernest since my reference sheet and they deserve more drawings for sure. As you see, from my first concept their looks have changed at least a little bit. But I still can’t draw hands though.
A lovely spring day on a field! Our two lovely ladies, Elizabeth and Justine + Ernest and Justine making each other flowercrowns. I don’t know how about you, but I kind of like a concept of Ernest having a childhood crush on Justine, and/or vice-versa. They just seem nice togather. And Ernest needs more love. And that’s a canon.
Everyone deserves flowers but Ernest deserves a big bouquet of them. The biggest one!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of a day, see you soon : )
And happy Easter to those who celebrate! Christos Voskrese!
So, can anyone remember when I posted here differences between the Frankenstein: A New Musical script and album? If you do, you may know that in the musical Creature isn’t Frankenstein’s first creation. A dead sparrow is.
I wrote this:
And of course, nobody drew it. So I had to take it into my hands:
Another pencil doodle colored digitally. I too am wondering when I’ll do a real art. And I can’t draw birds.
But this whole post is a kind of joke anyway, so I don’t care XD
