Okay, I just had a thought. What if “Deadpool & Wolverine” is the start of this arc that’s going to address the state of the non-MCU Marvel properties? From how I’m seeing things, it looks like the universes of the non-MCU Marvel properties are breaking down for some reason (maybe related to the incursion in Multiverse of Madness) and the TVA are scrambling to save them.

So, what’s the plan? Take the remnants of the destroyed universes and “merge” them into a stable universe. On a meta level, it’s taking the non-MCU Marvel properties and merging them into the MCU. That’s how the mutants end up getting introduced into the MCU, as well as other concepts like Inhumans, Ghost Rider, and so on.

From a creative perspective, this allows Marvel Studios to bring in characters and concepts from these non-MCU properties without needing to address the previous storylines. You like James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Charles and Erik? Well, we can bring them back now without having to address the bullshit that was the late stages of the Fox X-Men universe. That’s basically what’s happening with this version of Wolverine; it seems like this Logan is separate from all the other Logans we’ve seen, which I think is a good move since it allows Hugh Jackman to come back and audiences don’t have to question his existence.

I will never not find this funny: even though Steve and Tony are each their own person and have distinct personalities, they share some pretty funny circumstances that make for great ironies. Outside the obvious that they're superheroes and teammates that butt heads often, they both have best friends that are named James but go by nicknames and the women they love also have nicknames starting with P.

I've been rewatching episodes from agents of s.h.i.e.l.d. from all over the seasons lately and I just wanted to share some random thoughts:

Simmons used to be. such a good character??? I never fucked with her fandom (every time a woc is higher in the narrative than a white girl the racists come out to play and they are NOT original about it smh), but her actual character? before she became completely subsumed to The FitzSimmons unit?? I'm in mourning here, people.

I actually caved and watched the episodes I had left from season 6. this means that I finally found out how Flint (darling <3) came to be in the present. otoh, I love it! I love that Mackelena ~made him up with their minds + the monolith of creation, that this means there's a Flint in the alternate timeline still being a hero and helping rebuild earth. on the other, this makes me wish he'd been in season 7 even more. those themes of identity, "am i even real?" are my catnip. we did get that with lmd!Coulson, of course, but why not both *-*

this rewatch reminded me that I used to ship May and Daisy-then-Skye A LOT back in season 1 lmao. *sighs* my lesbian age gap ships keep getting mother-zoned smh. I'll compensate for this by sexualising (even) more surrogate mother-daughter pairings from now on (I'm doing my part on my original stories. trust me).

He hadn't seen his son for more that a decade!

And he finally saw him crying in the middle of the street alone, after his mother's death and he just let him leave?!

So the new photo of Jake got me thinking

I’m not even sure about all of that, probably just going crazy without moon knight

You see how one of his eye is bigger? So that reminded me of the scene where we all agree jake the one who’s in control

His eyes is very big. At first I thought it’s because he is sedated, buuuut here’s Marc clearly sedated and his eyes look more normal sized

Also we have Steven with normal size eyes

So I think in this scene its actually Jake, I think he let Marc know what there were talking about, but he took control because he is the protector of a body and all of what’s been going on brought pain

But I’m probably just imagining stuff cause I’m in love with Jake

once again thinking about bucky freaking out post nwh because he knows he's forgotten something. he freaks out over forgetting any small thing because of hydra wiping his memory all those times. but he can feel just how huge this one is and it sends him into a complete panic.

As someone who was raised in a strict Catholic household, I’ve gained a new appreciation for how Daredevil season 2 was written. It’s still my least favorite DD season, but I love that it’s a season where the main issue that the Catholic protagonist has to deal with is temptation to sin. There’s Frank Castle, who tries to tempt Matt into breaking his no-kill code and accept that bad people aren’t worthy of redemption. Then there’s Elektra Natchios, who tempts Matt into thinking that a life of excess and sin isn’t so bad. Steal expensive cars, break into people’s houses, beat up people who wronged you, etc.

It’s like that season is Matt dealing with the “devils” on his shoulders, Frank and Elektra, telling him to do bad things and stray away from God.

Alright…

I did not miss today's episode and thank gOD! Because there're some things to talk about.

Kamala's entrance was so cool. Like, the confidence. I swear I thought it was all a daydream and she'd get hit in the face with that basketball ball or something.

Kamran. Who's he? Why is Kamala looking at him? Why am I not hugging Bruno rn? Too many questions.

So, her training sequence is just ✨ art ✨. And I'm sure that, if I ever got superpowers, I'll look just the same.

But, did you have to make me cry with that “Please, let me go.” reference, KK?

Well, she apologized to her mom, which I appreciate, but I would have liked to see her apologizing to her dad as well.

Ugh. Details.

Kamran called Bruno, Brian. I really shouldn't be mad about it but, here I am, mad about it.

But, the fact that he gave Kamala a “driving lesson” kinda compensates it.

Bruno got into Calthec, and at first you're like wHAT? That's awesome dude! And then you see him ask if he can think about it.

Anyway, Kamala and Kamran are talking about movies and I'm so happy that Kingo movies were the ones they were talking about.

Dude, I'm actually liking this guy rn. The way he just said that to Aamir, how he didn't ask her questions as to why say that… yeah, I've got a feeling that I'll somehow regret this new trust on him.

So, the bangle belonged to her great grandmother, the one they don't talk about at home, no, no.

You read that singing? No? Me neither.

Nakia, her ✨ manipulation skills ✨. She's a natural politician.

I did feel bad for Zoe. Like, these people didn't have enough with Peter (they forgot but whatever) and now they want to get to Kamala and do what? I hate them already.

The Illumin-aunts (was that their name?) take gossiping too far. It's way more dramatic than one would think.

Now, are we gonna ignore the fact that it was the kids fault? Why would he try to get a photo like that? And that far from the ground? Smh.

I love how she tried to distract the kid and focus on something else. Very Spider-Man-like. #iapprove

Which leads me to: Ice cream pizza? Could any of you confirm if that tastes good? Because I'm not sure I'd like the final texture.

Did you see that superhero landing? *Yelena's voice* She's such a poser.

She saw her great grandmother and I was afraid the kid would fall and everyone would blame her for that.

Luckily, she saved him again. The only thing broken apparently, was his ankle. But he'll live.

Drones? Seriously? You're hunting my girl with drones?!

Now, nOW!!!1!1!! Kamran? What the f--? His-- his mom? What's happening? What's going on here? Why did she know about Kamala? Too many questions again!!!

For the last couple years Marvel disappointed me. I watched everything, movies and series, but since Endgame it wasn’t the same anymore. At first I thought it was because I was still nostalgic of the OG Marvel but it wasn’t only that.

We’ve got some good stuff I will not lie. Moonknight is one of my favorite show ever. I really liked Shang Shi and the last Black Panther was pretty good too. However after Endgame, I started watching the movies or shows because I had to. Almost a homework feeling, if I don’t watch this piece of media I will not be able to understand the next 10 movies thanks to (because of ?) the ✨mutilverse✨ (I have mixed feelings about this new era with all the multiverse things …).

But this afternoon while watching Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3, I remember why I loved Marvel movies. Why when I first started watching them I wanted to watch them all. I loved that there was a lot of action but also an interesting plot. I loved all the jokes and the characteristic Marvel humor but also the gut wrenching moments where we cried our eyes out. I loved the love and friendship between our favourite characters, the development of their relationships and of themselves. Were the "old" marvel movies perfect ? Probably not. But there was something (a je ne sais quoi we would say in French) and that something was good.

The recent movies may had some of these, but too many times what I remember of them was oh yeah this part was important because it will be in the next movie with this character because bla bla bla ✨multiverse✨ blah blah blah … I enjoyed making those theories and all but that’s not really what I want to do when I finish a movie. First and foremost I want to enjoy a movie for itself (Marvel or not).

Gotg vol. 3 gave me that. For the time in a while I left the cinema without thinking of all the possible outcomes of this movie in the ✨multiverse✨. The credits ended and I was just happy to be here, having experienced all the different emotions this movie gave us.

Of course Gotg vol. 3 is not perfect but I honestly don’t care when the first thought I had when I finished it was the bittersweet sadness to part with this found family.

Guardians you will be missed.

How I feel about this character: I love her! I have all the warm and fuzzy feelings for her.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Sousa is the closest thing to an otp, but in general I enjoyed what her canon relationships brought to the story, even if I wouldn't say I straightforwardly "shipped" them. Also I shipped her with May A LOT in season 1 añsldkfjasf. Later they motherzoned that till the point that I couldn't see it anymore but. Season 1...

My non-romantic OTP for this character: May! Jiaying! Kora!

My unpopular opinion about this character: idek... ig I didn't care for her friendship with Simmons. Not even when I still really liked Simmons, actually. The fandom's attitude towards them put me on edge.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: some actual support thrown her way in late season 5 would've been nice lol.

Not me drunkenly trying to explain to my husband how right now, post WandaVision/pre seeing Vision again, the White Vision might very well HATE Wanda because Hex Vision gave him all of his memories, and from an analytical side of things it could seem that they only fell in love because they were both new to the team, she needed someone, anyone, and he had nothing better to do. White Vision didn't LIVE it, so he could very easily lothe Wanda and try to be his own person separately from her, try and find his humanity elsewhere on his own, without a person "granting" him it.

I'm horrified of having to potentially watch the events of this Vision comic unfold, I pulled my physical copy out last night and lamented over it, the tragedy it would be, how unintentionally it would be WandaVision all over again and although it would be poetic it would be a TRAGEDY. Vision was never GRANTED his place or humanity or made more or less deserving of anything because of Wanda. She never asked him to change or present a certain way, she just came alongside him and loved him for who he was. He experienced humanity alongside her.

Without Wanda putting names and meaning and sensation behind everyday things Vision would have been literal to the point of self hatred. He wants to simply exist as easily as any human person, to find his place and experience the beauty of it. The complexity that there is in every day life. Wanda gave him that, and for Vision to try and make it for himself and fail to understand that she never gave him anything he didn't already have, but that they chose to come together and experience things as one will be tragic.

These pages out of issue #7 haunt me. Virginia is composed of pieces of Wanda in this comic, but pieces is not enough. Wanda and Vision, Vision and Wanda, they BELONG TOGETHER. Look at the events of Multiverse of Madness. Do you think things would have happened the same way if Vision had come to talk with Wanda instead of Stephen Strange?

If we are to expect any kind of mcu reunion and they DO end up going with the events of this comic, it will be emotionally devastating to watch and my heart will break watching the broken pieces of what once was Wanda Maximoff and Vision come back together after all the pain they've caused and felt. I doubt we will be so lucky, but a girl can dream...
