What is wrong with you Marvel Studios!?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, the TVA is just full stop Nazis at this point. Not even being subtle about it? They are Nazi. We have passed the point where the TVA have done more actions that the nazi have done then the MCU's version of Hydra. Don't come at me saying the TVA is meant to bad and you're not meant to like them because if that's the case what is all this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This isn't just making a figurine for kids to play with or collectors to put on their shelves. This is selling people the means to play dress up as the incredible Nazi-coded characters. Does No one see the problem with this?
I know Hasbro sells Cobra and Decepticon merchandise but along with it they still sell GI joe and Autobot Merch. What's being sold with all this TVA merchandise? Maybe a few scant pieces of Sylvie stuff but also Loki dress up in the TVA aesthetic. All they have to sell to the audience is the fascists.
Did we all forget about this?
The promotion for Secret Empire was controversial, deservedly so but now several years later Marvel does the exact same thing and the reaction people have is, Loki getting what deserves and Mobius is so charming.
It doesn't seem like the TVA are going away. If rumors are to believed they're going to be in Deadpool 3 and if it doesn't contain Wade slicing these monsters to sherds that franchise can go crash and burn as well.Marvel please just stop

I saw your post about Injustice Harley, and I agree, hardcore. I'm bigger into Marvel, and I'm a big Emma Frost fan, and seeing some writers and fans lean into this idea that she's just misunderstood, when that's partly true, but also, the woman manipulates, uses, and lies her way to what she wants, and the only reason she's a hero now is because what she wants aligns with the greater good. She's selfish, stuck-up, manipulative and has done some shitty things before, things she herself doesn't know if she deserves to be forgiven for. If I may posit a theory for Harley/Emma/this phenomenon in general? Fandom policing has made people really scared to have "problematic" faves, and so try to scrub them of any fault and wrongdoing, even when that's sometimes what makes them the most compelling, and writers lean into that
no absolutely, it's exactly what it feels like. problematic characters & liking them invite so much harassment in fan spaces nowadays that people will do the most to whitewash their problematic traits & behaviours in order to try & avoid that or convince themselves that they're morally still pure while liking these characters.
which is sad because i love seeing fucked up women characters & it feels like we're going back in regards to the treatment of female characters in a horsehoe effect.

imagine having to sell your movie by saying it's not at all like you, it's good actually like it's supposed to be. take the L marvel, relying on this other much better property to save your failing franchise.
deadpool films have been excellent and i fear this one would be diluted by marvel in some way to ruin it - adding unnecessary setups for future films, references to previous films, and the dreaded cameos from mcu characters no one cares about. marvel cannot help themselves at this point.
and i still don't think they'll have the guts to make jokes on themselves as they've shown what sore losers they are by not reporting "the marvels" failing bo after rubbing endgame's bo in everyone's faces.
i hope deadpool3 does well for its sake but i still want marvel to burn to the ground and fade into oblivion for what they did to my man taking their audience for granted.

Heroes are quintessentially rebels
And the Marvel and DC Heroes of today are no longer rebels.
They are costumed propaganda machines who maintain the status quo of corruption and oppression while claiming to fight for justice.
Their great power is used to protect corrupt power structures.
They support what they purport to fight against.
Villains are the Heroes of today, and the Heroes have lived long enough to see themselves become the villains.

Multiverse in tmnt is like a spicy flavor, mixing new and old tastes in a wild flavor. In spiderverse, it is the base flavor, like rice and potatoes, and makes the whole thing work. Multiverse in marvel is like veganism, they made it their whole personalities.

Once upon a time, Marvel and the MCU created characters (both good and bad) who were all pretty much, under the surface, redeemable figures.
They said, "Bad guys are just misunderstood good guys and if we can't make you love a character we can at least make you sympathize with them by showing you how they were tormented by the evil Nazi regime that's at the heart of all the bad stuff in this universe."
And we were like, "Yeah, fine. Cool. I'm on board."
And then somewhere along the line, the PTB decided that the message they really wanted to put across was that everything bad that happens to you is your fault and your trauma is something that you need to apologize for. And V (@aimmyarrowshigh) and Emily were like, "Huh-uh. Not on our watch."
Basically, we're not super stoked about Thunderbolts, alright?

You know, I kinda thought what happened to Faust in Another Story would be something more rage inducing to me. Similar to Bruce getting killed off in CW2 are Star committing genocide in Cleaved.
But honestly, after reading some analyses, I mellowed out.
Say what you will about Another Story, at least it did explain what's going on with Faust and it was done in a way that fits his character. Sure, it might not satisfy some people but it is at least understandable.
I will never understand what Marvel was thinking about killing Bruce in CW2 nor Daron for making Star commit genocide.
And even then, I'm not as mad anymore about the former since Bruce is brought back to life and it led to Immortal Hulk (I haven't read it but I heard it is good), whereas the latter was is supposed to be a satisfying conclusion to the series but all it ended up was being a middle finger everything you loved about svtfoe.

I have quite a bit to say about the Multiverse of Madness movie, but I want to single out one thing in particular for this brief post.
I fully admit that I am bias when it comes to Steve Rogers, because I love his character. But Holy. Shit. I felt so offended on Steve’s behalf and mad when the scene played with some alternate universe Peggy Carter who became Captain America confidently/a little smugly saying, “I can do this all day.”
I-
Tumblr media
I am SO disappointed in the screenwriters (and those who approved it) for that one.
“I can do this all day” came from Steve. A Steve who grew up poor and ill, who always did his best to do the right thing and just help other people. It came from a Steve who understood struggle, but never backed down.
That was never some “Captain America” thing. No, it was part of Steve and at the core of who he is, someone who doesn’t give up.
Gd, I wish I could properly articulate how frustrating I find it that they just handed over this line, for lack of a better term, to Peggy. That phrase has nothing to do with Captain America Peggy or Peggy.
Plus, it was so obvious that line was ham fisted into the scene/movie, idk, just to say “look audience, do you recognize this?” and/or “don’t forget, Peggy and Steve are connected!!” or whatever.  It was ham fisted in because Wanda says to Peggy, “Aren’t you tried yet?” or something very similar. The question made zero sense in the context because the fight had barely been going on for 2 minutes, and at that moment Peggy had really yet to even have a chance to fight against Wanda. So why and how would Peggy even be tired already????
No concluding thoughts beyond I hate that moment.

Finally finished AoS (or at least thru S7) and beautiful stories, great and not inappropriate humor, wonderful characterization and the resurrections make sense and are not as exhausting as say SPN......... my only issue is how it connects to the, uh, y'know, MCU.
spacetime cops go to hell in '21 though they clearly had footholds in other timelines and can be assumed to have roughly the same, if not purpose, outcome on peculiarities
AoS ends '20, seasons to date at least and try to say all of S7 was in other timeline(s) which they royally fucked up, to put lightly. So where are the fucking spacetime-I'll-erase-your-existence-cops huh, Marvel.
Anyone there actually know what the hell is going on or are you 'trusting' the hardcore fans to 'put it together' and push that as truth. Awful lotta plot holes I see w my one little eye, Marvel. Would be a shame if someone... where to MAKE IT MAKE SENSE DAMNIT, and stop these absurd retcons as well
--Not to mention that Fury's still around, hanging out in space with the Skrull. Dr. Strange allegedly can sense everything etc so how does he not know

Just hope everyone knows that besides making only garbage lately, there is more reason to ignore and give disney none of your time or money anymore. I'm not even interested in pirating them anymore.
They willingly funded a nation in the process of genocide. Fuck them!
