Hey omg thanks for sending this!! I LOVE the Selection Series and I’m literally always down to talk about it lmao

First off let me say I love Marlee, she’s a wonderful choice. That said, I’m going to have to be completely basic and say Maxon 😂 I just absolutely adore him, and he’s one of the only fictional crushes I think I’d be willing to date irl (I love the Mikaelson boys but I COULD NOT deal with that from a real life person/partner, vampire or not). He’s such a sweetheart and imo a really good example of a character that doesn’t exhibit toxic masculinity; he’s soft, kind, and caring while still being strong and “manly”. Long way of saying, he’s my absolute favorite hands-down 😍❤️

Second place and honorable mention actually goes to Celeste Newsome because her character arc and eventual relationship with America are another of my favorite things in that series. I could write *essays* about her treatment and role as a character and the depth it has compared to a lot of other, more stereotypical and imo toxic representations of “the mean girl” in a lot of media, and tbh the reason I love this series so much is how deep it is and how many interesting topics and dynamics it shows/deals with beyond just being a YA romance trilogy with a love triangle

I re-read THE SELECTION! Now I’m half way towards the end of Happily Ever After. Marlee’s part really is my Favourite.

I love these series so much. Kiera Casa doesn’t have any idea how much I needed these books back in 2021 when I remembered I had to read them :)) And now I’m going though all the feelings I went back then and I’m loving it. I love Maxon, the most perfect baby to ever exist. I love America even if she annoyed me with her Aspen and her stupid decisions sometimes 😂 I love Marlee and Carter and Lucy and all the girls there. Queen Amberly was such a sweetheart. And yes, I love Celeste :)) she is the character development, she is the myth, the legend and she is the moment 😜

I think I don’t like few people in this story. Well, I didn’t like Aspen until he got with Lucy. So, the remaining one, Clarkson Schreave, is the only character I hate hahahah 😅

In Which Buck Comes Up Empty,

Or, the Trials of Fishing for the Uninitiated, & More

It was New Year's Eve today, and I actually threw a social event, a house party. I usually avoid doing that because it's so hectic but this was a pretty tame party. I timed it so that they could all watch the final countdown(sad kazoo sound, iykyk) and have the party done shortly afterwards, which meant it started around 8pm.

I had most of the family create resolutions, with the exception of Buck. I could use the reasoning that maybe, as a child, he just doesn't really get the point, and "doesn't everyone just give up on theirs anyway?" but in reality I just forgot. I wasn't really sure what to do for him, he spent most of his morning fishing in his astoundingly awesome raincoat (I'm not joking, it looks so cool, I'm jealous).

For Laurie, Flat, and Rich, however, they did make resolutions. Flat resolved to have a significant other,

Rich resolved to advance his aspiration,

and Laurie resolved to lose weight.

Laurie doesn't actually have a great track record with her resolutions, last year she wanted to have a significant other, that did not pan out. (She recently gained the whim to be engaged with Rich, idk how that will go though) She will have a difficult time with this goal, given that she dislikes fitness and has the lazy trait. I'm not sure how much success she'll have in this, but I'm rooting for her regardless.

(wouldn't it be wild if laurie and summer went off nah there's no way. maybe. idk. laurie and rich aren't actually part of the canon Broke family so I can kinda do anything with them. maybeeee 👀👀👀 idk they seem nice together, and rich and laurie didn't do anything after the new year like flat and flo did. hmmmm, hold on i gotta consider things)

Anyway I was startled when I saw Marlee's outfit, I forgot I gave her this outfit. (Don't mind Julian casually clipping clean through the door)

#The most important resolution was Flat's #I really need to speed his life along (as if I haven't been doing that already) #The age gap between him and Buck is something I *vastly* underestimated so I ended up completely skipping over Flat's childhood as a whole #But seeing as Flat is an elder when Buck is a young adult in TS3 I am speeding Flat and Flo along more than I would otherwise #For the time being I turned aging off but I'm gonna age up Flat and Flo to young adults probably by the end of spring #Or by the end of the first week of spring I haven't decided #Anyway I wanted them to at least be partners as teens before I aged them up I'll have them make official on Love Day (2 days after NYE) #the sims 4 #ts4 #simblr #the sims 4 gameplay #the sims 4 screenshots #the sims 4 legacy #the brokes
