After ending up in the Spell Damage Ward at St Mungo’s, Harry is put on mandatory holiday leave. The catch: he has to spend it with Malfoy at his cottage deep in the woods. Harry has no idea why Malfoy agreed to host him, considering he avoided ever being alone in a room with Harry before he left for his sabbatical a year ago. To complicate things, Harry’s enormous longstanding crush hasn’t waned at all in Malfoy’s absence.

Harry is content to spend his days at Draco’s flower stall at the farmers market, burying his true feelings in artisanal coffee and rose bouquets. 🎙️  Oh Your Love Is Sunlight by B1ackCatChatsBack - Cailynwrites Sirius Black/Remus Lupin || Rated E || 353 minutes
“James texted about an hour ago,” he called after Remus as he used his phone as a torch to get to the kitchen and dug out the bees-wax candles he stored there for emergencies, “Apparently there’s a weather warning ... says he won’t expect me home until tomorrow and asks if you could leave a bowl of water and a newspaper on the floor in the kitchen for me,” he finished, voice shaking with humour Remus snorted “I’m sure we can come to an arrangement,” he teased as he returned. “If I’m very good, can I sleep on the bed?” came Sirius’s reply, “I promise not to lick you awake at ungodly hours of the night,” he finished with a smirk lit by his phone as Remus re-entered the room by the light of a lit candle. “Now that’s not a promise I can let you keep, Darling,” he purred as he placed the candle on the nightstand and clambered onto the bed quicker than he’d done anything else in his life. OR Sirius is stuck in a rut - in a job that he hates without any time to pursue his real passion in the aftermath of a toxic relationship - and goes to visit his friends on the rural coast and finds much more than he bargained for - and maybe exactly what he needs.

The Wish (Chapter 1)
Warnings: None
Note: This is a Dreamtale Au, Dreamtale belongs to Jokublog
Tumblr media
Dream wandered around the multiverse, jumping from Au to Au, helping spread positivity and avoid detection from the person he once knew as his brother, Nightmare.
As he wandered around, he entered an Au he'd never seen before. He found himself in an overgrown meadow covered in flowers and long grass, the night sky illuminated by the full moon, stars, and fireflies, all of which together added to the peaceful atmosphere.
He turned his attention to the only structure in the peaceful meadow, an old Wishing Well that stood upon a hill, the moonlight reflecting off its stone and burgundy roof, small flowers and vines grew on it telling him it was quite old.
He climbed up the hill it stood upon to get a closer look at the old structure. There were cracks in the stone, the shingles that gave the roof its color falling off. The Guardian had some G on him, so he thought it would be fun to do what he had seen many do before him; make a wish.
Dream held the G to his chest, his eyes closed as he silently spoke; "I wish for my brother back and for him to feel the love and appreciation I had been given..." he said, opening his eyes as he tossed the G into the old well, the sound of the G hitting the water quickly made its way up to his ears followed by a weird and horrible stench causing him to take a few steps back.
He stood there blankly for a few moments before turning away from the well and making a portal back to his and Ink's home that doubled as the Star Sanses base.
As he walked through the portal, he failed to notice the pair of golden eyes staring at him from the bottom of the grassy hill.
~~~
Dream walked out of the golden portal he had made, a smile appearing on his face as he greeted his friends, "Hey Blue, hey Ink, I'm back." He said, walking towards them, the golden portal closing behind him.
His two close friends looked at him, greeting him with a smile, "Hey Dream, welcome back!" Blue said cheerfully. "Hey, Dream!" Ink said as he proceeded to shove a taco in his mouth, "Blue made tacos for dinner!" he added, his mouth now full.
Dream laughed softly at his friend before he felt his eyes start to grow heavy, a sudden yawn escaped him not long after. His friends looked at him, Ink's left eye turning into a green question mark, the other a blue triangle, "You feel okay there, buddy?" He asked him, knowing it wasn't often for him to feel sleepy.
Dream gave his friend a tired smile, "I'm fine, don't worry, guys." He said, rubbing his eye as another yawn escaped him, "it's probably just because I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately." He reassured them.
Blue got up from the table and made his way towards his friend. When in front of him, he removed one of his blue gloves and placed it on his forehead, "You're little warm..." He said as he backed up from his friend, putting his glove back on.
"R-really, I am?" He said in disbelief as he placed his own hand to his forehead, "It's not often I get sick," he said quietly to himself. Blue nodded, "Yep, you are, go lay down and I'll make you some soup. It shouldn't take me long. I'll bring it up to you when it's done," he said, ushering Dream up the stairs.
He quickly shook his head, "no, no, that won't be necessary Blue, I'm sure it's nothing, there's no need for you to go out of your way to do that for me." He said in protest, but Blue quickly dismissed him. "Dream, the sooner we correct this, the better, now go lay down and rest, okay?"
Dream sighed softly and nodded. There was no point in arguing with him. He was just looking out for him after all, "Okay, Blue, I'll see you both later then." He said as he walked up the stairs.
Blue smiled at his small victory and let out a small, barely noticeable laugh before making his way towards the kitchen, leaving behind Ink, who proceeded to steal Dreams taco.
~~~
Dream walked into his room, closing the door behind him. Using magic to quickly change his clothing into something comfortable before making his way to bed, yawning once more as he laid down. As soon as he felt his head hit the soft pillows the world around him became black.

The Fulton County jail in Georgia could make history in the weeks ahead as the first institution to ever take a U.S. president's mugshot.
Driving The News: The local sheriff's office says it expects to book all 19 of those indicted this week on election-related charges — including former President Trump — at the notorious detention center, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The Big Picture: Trump has thus far avoided having his mugshot taken in his three other cases.
• He now faces a historic four indictments and 91 criminal charges — while also running for the GOP nomination in the 2024 presidential election.
• The newest indictment, which relies on state-level racketeering charges, said Trump and 18 other defendants "knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump."
Why It Matters: Trump and other powerful figures included in the indictment now face the prospect of being processed at a rough and overcrowded jail in Atlanta.
• Those figures include former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani — who as a federal prosecutor went after mobsters under the same type of racketeering law.
Context: The Fulton County jail, known among locals as "Rice Street," has been plagued with reports of dangerous conditions and detainee deaths.
• In July, the U.S. Justice Department announced an investigation into conditions at the jail following the death of Lashawn Thompson, who was found covered in bugs and filth.
• "It's miserable. It's cold. It smells. It's just generally unpleasant," longtime defense attorney Robert G. Rubin said of the jail, per the New York Times.
• Officers are being prosecuted for using excessive force at the jail as well, the DOJ said.
Between The Lines: Trump's Georgia trial is also the first one that could be televised, as Georgia law requires cameras be allowed during judicial proceedings with a judge's approval.
• A judge would have to be presented with a compelling reason to bar cameras.
Reality Check: An official mugshot could also be a boon to Trump's reelection campaign.
• After his first arrest in April, his campaign fundraised with fake mugshot merch.
What's Next: District Attorney Fani Willis proposed a Mar. 4 start date for the Georgia trial, meaning it would start one day before Super Tuesday, when many U.S. states hold primary elections.
• The arraignment should take place the week of Sept. 5, Willis said in the court filing.

For your mash-up challenge: DinLuke, Bookshop AU and Mutual Pining?
I love a good book shop au.
Rated G, alternating third person pov. Human Grogu (~2 y.o).
[prompt list]
~*~*~
The bookstore had become Luke's entire life. It was either take over Old Ben's bookshop or spend his days working on the farm. While Uncle Owen had high hopes Luke would turn into a farmer, it was just never in the cards for him.
Granted, Luke never thought that still living in his hometown at twenty-eight and running a small bookstore would be in his cards either. But his uncle's health and an unexpected line in Old Ben's will brought him back a few years ago.
It wasn't all bad. The town certainly had its charms. And the shop came with a Roomba and an orange cat. Those two were now, maybe, Luke's best friends.
On Tuesday nights, Luke ran a children's story time, where he'd read picture books to a semi-circle of local kids, serve fruit punch, and watch parents sit in comically small chairs.
Aunt Beru told him not to play favorites, but Grogu was a consistent face at story time, and with those big brown eyes, Luke couldn't help himself. He had a favorite.
And his perfectly regular looking dad who Luke had no feelings for at all did not contribute to Grogu's "favorite" status in the least.
Or at least that's what he said to Aunt Beru one night as they tossed paper cups into a Hefty bag.
He didn't tell her that Grogu's father, a kind man with an arm of tattoos and a two-year old made, Luke so out-of-his mind he thought he could run a marathon with no training or swim a mile in the Arctic ocean. That when he saw him every Tuesday at eight p.m, Luke had fantasies about the two of them laying in a sun-lit meadow while the Twilight soundtrack played. That he wanted to tear out his own hair, scream, or throw furniture at the sheer idea of Grogu outgrowing story time without warning.
"If you say so," she said. Luke knew she'd seen right through him.
~
Din was very careful not to flirt with people while they were at their place of work, but after months of Tuesday picture book readings, he wondered if he might be able to start being his own rules. (He's have to learn to flirt first, Fennec had told him. He always managed to be too subtle or come on too strong.)
The man was classically handsome, boyish and strong at the same time, just a whisper shorter than Din, but a little younger. During the Halloween story time, He'd come dressed as Captain America, and he'd been a hit with the kids and the parents. Although Din did his best to be polite, when he started proving his super strength by doing push ups, Din hid, suddenly deeply interested Pride and Prejudice.
Fennec spotted Luke once, and had promptly reported back to their friends that Din's crush was was out of Din's league.
"Or would be, if you didn't have the cute single dad thing going on."
"Grogu isn't an accessory I use to pick up guys."
"Maybe not, but he does that work anyway." She had a point.
Grogu was a great help when it came to breaking the ice, but the ice between him and Luke melted a long time ago.
"What's this week's pick?" Luke asked Grogu, reaching for the book Grogu had gripped tightly in his little baby fist.
"Dragons Don't Eat Tacos," Din said. Luke leaned over the counter with the scanner, barely getting it over the bar code. The register beeped.
Din had started coming to the bookstore out of necessity. Every week he and Grogu would come home from the library with stacks of books. But Grogu liked to put his favorites in his mouth and bite. Din worried the kid would give himself smallpox or bubonic plague. The librarians were worried that more of their books would come back with visible bite marks. So Din and Grogu made a deal. Which ever book was Grogu's favorite that week, they'd buy at the store, and that one Grogu could chew on all the way home.
Dragon's Don't Eat Tacos was in Grogu's mouth before Din could get the cash out of his wallet.
"Is it tasty?" Luke asked.
"It's his favorite snack," Din said.
Luke smiled and laughed, even though Din's joke hadn't been very funny. He felt the back of his neck get hot, and then his ears. He glanced behind him as Luke grabbed his receipt. No one was behind him. He could take a little more time.
"The reading tonight was great," he said.
"I've been practicing my phonics," Luke said, "I should be a level two reader any day."
Din didn't know how to get from this part to the usual exchange of phone numbers or making of plans. With sweat beading on his forehead, he blurted: "Your funny voices are getting better."
Luke smiled, a real smile, his eyes bright and the corners crinkled. "Thanks! Those I actually have been practicing."
Din didn't have to think of something to say next, because Grogu, a child who hardly spoke at all, picked that moment to announce to the both of them "I pooped!"
~
Luke showed Din to the bathroom before heading back to the children's corner to help his aunt with the clean up.
"I locked the front. You'll have to let Din out."
Luke checked his watch. They still had three minutes until their official 9p.m closing time.
"We can't lose a good customer to my ..." he drifted off, drowning his sentence in a cup of fruit punch.
"Your what, Luke?" She asked, playing dumb.
Luke just shrugged.
"I don't think giving that nice man your number would risk any business," she said, "but that's just my opinion."
~
Din apologized when Luke had to let him out of the store.
"Please, don't worry about it," Luke insisted. The air outside was cold, and Grogu was snuggling his head against Din's shoulder, his book between his teeth.
"Can you say goodnight to Mr. Skywalker?" Din said. Grogu waved, but seemed to have used the last of his words for the day on his announcement.
"By Grogu," Luke said. Luke didn't move, so neither did Din.
"Next week then?" Din asked.
"Next week." Luke gave him a thumbs up. Din did one back.
"Um ..."
"Well! Goodnight!" Luke said, stepping back inside and shutting the door behind him. Grogu waved at him through the glass. Luke waved back. Din gave another thumbs up. Luke did it back.
Din turned to go, but Grogu was still waving. When Din turned without Grogu's permission, Grogu shrieked, and the taco book fell from his mouth. Luke opened the door fast, picking it up off the pavement as it closed behind him.
"Do you want a new one?" He offered.
Din took the book back, his hand brushing Luke's in the exchange. "His bite marks are already all over it," Din said. "And I have wipes." He jostled the diaper bag on his shoulder.
"Right," Luke said. "Well, goodnight again."
"Goodnight again." Grogu was finally done waving, so Din thought was safe to turn around.
"Din!" Luke called. "Do you like coffee?"
"Yeah," he said. His heart raced as his mind started thinking up every possible follow up question that wasn't would you go out with me?
"The spot down the road is really good, if you'd want to go with me? Maybe this weekend?" Luke had his hands behind his back and was rocking on his heals as he spoke.
Din smiled in the wide and goofy way that was almost always reserved for Grogu. "Yeah, that'd be great!" Luke's smile matched Din's in that moment.
They exchanged numbers quickly, or tried to. Din noticed Luke's hands were trembling. He'd stepped outside without a jacket, and the weather was starting to get cold.
"There," Luke said, sending Din a text with his name.
"I'll call you," Din promised.
"Great, I look forward to it." They kept smiling at each other.
Luke turned away first, only to find a locked storefront. "Oh no," he said.
"Oh no," Din echoed when he realized.
"My aunt is in there, I'll just need to ... bang on all the windows until she notices." He rubbed his face before he started knocking.
"Want me to stick around until she lets you in?" Din offered.
"Please spare me the humiliation," Luke said, a chuckle in his voice. "No, please, don't feel like you need to stick around. She'll notice soon enough."
"Well, if she doesn't, you know ... call me," Din said.
"I will," he promised.
Din smiled and Grogu chewed all the way home.

While most of the conlangs I work on are created in collaboration with @dedalvs, I also have personal conlangs I've created for my own enjoyment. My most recent one is called Zhwadi, and, for Lexember, I created entries focused on nominal inflections. Instead of posting day-by-day entries here, I decided to do four summary posts. This first post focuses on the eleven noun classes of Zhwadi and their associated prefixes.
*af > a “breath”
The root *af “breath” appears as a in Zhwadi, but it also grammaticalized as the animate noun class prefix—the first of the eleven noun class markers. This prefix typically appears as a- before consonants and av- before vowels (fricatives voice intervocalically).
In Zhwadi, the same roots that are sources for noun class prefixes are also sources of third-person pronouns and verb agreement. These roots get a lot of use!
*maigu > megu “dirt, earth”
The Zhwadi word megu means “dirt, earth” and is the source of the dirt noun class prefix me(g)- (where the [g] appears before vowels). Many nouns belonging to the dirt class are classified as such because of texture or shape—perhaps they crumble when they break, or their natural form is small individual pieces.
Like a (“breath”), this example demonstrates that some of the oldest nominal roots in Zhwadi are not marked for their noun class, so their classes must be memorized. The nouns like these are easier because their forms are so similar to the class prefix itself. However, there are words like sīna (“field”), that do not carry a class prefix marker to show which class they belong to. You just have to know sīna is a dirt noun.
*kɹa > kra “stone”
Nouns that are hard and crack when the break (rather than crumble) are likely to belong to the stone class, and most stone-class nouns take the class-marking prefix kr(a)-.
As one fun example, the stone noun yanu (“bone”) is based on an old root and doesn’t occur with the stone-marking prefix. Adding the stone prefix turns it into another stone-class noun, krayanu, which means “fossil.”
*tja > cha “grass, blade of grass”
The fourth noun class is the grass class, with nouns that tend to be solid but malleable rather than breakable. The class-marking prefix ch(a)- comes from the noun cha, meaning “grass.”
The singular cha form typically means grass in a less countable form (like, “Hey, there’s cha in the yard!”), but it can also be used to refer to a single blade of grass (“A cha is blowing in the wind!”). In its plural form, chakū means “blades of grass” (like, “you have a lot of chakū on your jeans after sitting in the yard!”).
*iluu > ilū “down” (feathery down)
The down noun class prefix lu(r)- comes from the word for feathery down, ilū. Many nouns belonging to this class are soft, feathery, or otherwise associated with comfort and coziness. For example, the noun sīna (“field”) is a dirt class noun, and turning it into the down class noun luzīna shifts its meaning to “meadow, field of soft grass” (one that might tempt you to lie down and read a book on a sunny day).
*ʃai > she “water”
The sixth noun class is the water class. The class-marking prefix sh(e)- comes from the noun she, meaning “water.” Many nouns belonging to the water class are liquid or are associated with liquid. For instance, the words for rain, mud, marsh, and well are all water-class nouns.
*ipǝ > ipa “ice”
Nouns belonging to the ice class are typically associated with one of these qualities: coldness, slipperiness, and/or meltability (that’s totally a word, right?). The class-marking prefix appears as ip- before vowels and i- before consonants; if the following consonant is voiced, it unvoices. For instance, losh is “rain” (an unmarked water-class noun), and ihlósh is “sleet.”
*ǝzu > azu “fire”
The noun azu means “fire” and is the source of the class-marking prefix for fire nouns, which appears as zu- in front of consonants, zw- in front of single vowels, and z- before diphthongs. Many fire-class nouns are associated with qualities of heat, burning, and/or brightness.
*ǝni > ani “sky”
The noun ani (“sky”) is the root for the sky noun class-marking prefix an(y)-. Nouns belonging to the sky class are typically associated with air, wind, or the simple fact that they are typically found in the sky, with words such as “storm, cloud, lightning, rainbow” belonging to this class.
*ɹau > ro “day”
The tenth noun class is the day class. The class-marking prefix r(o)- comes from the noun ro, meaning “day.” Nouns belonging to the day class are often associated with light and/or warmth—warmth without being hot (if they’re hot, they’re more likely to be fire-class nouns). Some nouns belonging to this class are also ones that are glittery or shiny—something that might catch your eye from a distance. For instance, the noun rozhúl refers to a hole that you can see through, such as a hole in a leaf. From a distance, a hole in a leaf would allow sunlight through, thus providing that little hint of light to make it look like the leaf is glittering. (Holes that you can’t see through, such as a hole in the ground, are based on an entirely different root.)
*diǝma > jema “night”
The eleventh and final noun class of Zhwadi is the night class. The class-marking prefix di(m)- ultimately comes from the noun jema (“night”). Nouns belonging to the night class are typically associated with darkness and/or chilliness (chilly without being cold, and often chilly without being hard to the touch). For instance, pela is an animate noun meaning “person.” Adding the night-class prefix turns it into the noun dibela, which means “shadow.”

Man, this one is so fucking mushy
Also! This is Danny's biggest fantasy :3
Warnings: outdoor sex; extra mush; mentions of being caught; mentioned past: age gap relationships, cheating, death, abduction, noncon, possession
M!OC x friend's M!OC uwu
Aksel and Joaquim belong to 💜@inkyquince💜
Words: ~1.1k
Danny was young, in the grand scheme of things. He knew that. He knew that when he bedded a 60-year-old man. He knew that when his parents died and left him pretty much on his own. He knew that when he felt like his life was crashing down around him when he found his only monogamous relationship was crumbling because of cheating.
He knew when he delved deep into the occult. He knew when a voice whispered in his ear how to carve out a better life for himself. He knew when he picked his target, when he lured that man into a secluded building, when he painted the room red with blood.
Young. Too young. Too young to get possessed. Too young to get kidnapped. Too young to get tortured and assaulted, over and over. Too young to feel Aksel's teeth in his neck or cock carving out his insides.
Just 22, whole life ahead of him.
But, this was definitely the best fucking day of his life.
"God, f-fuck, you feel so fucking good." Danny's words are slurred, legs locked around Joaquim’s hips and back pressed against cool grass as he's fucked into.
One of those lovely hands is planted on either side of Danny’s head, loose strands of red hair brushing against his face and carrying the scent of raspberries. Beautiful, Danny thinks dimly, he’s so fucking beautiful.
It’s then that the fat head of Joaquim’s cock hits his prostate, back arching sharply and a loud, unrestrained moan ripping from his throat.
"Dankovsky," Joaquim laughs, breathless, Danny's nails digging into his shoulders. "Get any louder and you'll attract an audience."
"I h-hope I draw a, fuck, a fucking crowd. Let them a-all see how, ah, g-good you fuck me.”
Joaquim laughs again, a sweet sound that rings like church bells in Danny’s head and makes him shiver in pleasure just as much as if Joa had wrapped a strong hand around Danny’s neglected, dribbling cock. Danny smiles himself, turning his head to press a kiss to Joa's wrist.
"H-hey, hold on a moment."
Joaquim stills, brows furrowing as he frowns. “Someone here?” He cocks his head to the side, listening. Even with the threat of being stumbled upon in an isolated, out-of-the-way meadow, Joaquim still stays pressed against him, cock keeping him so wonderfully full.
“Nah, just hold still, Kimi.”
Smiling softly at the nickname, he keeps still as Danny shifts his weight, keeping one leg locked around his lover as he uses the other to leverage himself off the ground. Joaquim’s grin grows  as Danny flips their positions, now the smaller man sprawled on his back in the soft grass.
Danny shudders, sun warming his back and Joaquim’s cock pressed deep. This is what he wants. Always. Warmth and…and him. Joaquim. Muscular chest damp with sweat, the golden undertones of his skin contrasting sharply with the nearly dead pale of Danny’s hands as he steadies himself. Danny pauses, staring at his hands pressed against Joaquim.
Lucky. The thought reverberates in his head. He’s so incredibly lucky everything turned out like this. Captured by some power-hungry cultist wanting to break his spirit and give his body over to the entity he unwillingly housed, thrown into a cell with a blind man and left to rot together. How was he lucky enough that they ended up like this? Out of that horrid place, free. Or, free enough to hike out into the woods and fuck like idiot teens or something. Entwined together. Forever, as far as Danny was concerned. For as long as Joaquim wanted him.
A hand grips his hip, warmth alighting along the markings the entity gave him in a surprisingly pleasurable tingling sensation. Joa’s other hand slides up his side, almost cruelly grinding his thumb against Danny’s pierced nipple.
“Fuck!” Danny hisses, head tilting back and cock twitching dangerously where it lays heavy against Joaquim’s stomach.
“C’mon pretty boy,” Joaquim all but purrs, “ride my cock like you’re always begging to.”
“Ha, think you can handle it?”
The smile Joa gives Danny is sharp. It makes his stomach flip. “Oh, I know I can, loverboy. But do you think you can manage to not go overboard?” Joa's thumb grinds into his nipple again, making Danny jerk with a laugh.
“D-don’t wanna carry me out of the forest?” Slowly, Danny rocks forward, grinding on Joa’s cock and making the tip press deliciously against his insides.
“If you’re my eyes, I’ll be fine.”
With a sigh, Danny leans forward, chest to chest with his lover. Teasingly, his tongue flicks out, swiping over Joaquim’s lips. He doesn’t get a chance to pull away before a strong hand clamps onto the back of his neck, keeping him in place as Joaquim presses their mouth’s together, tongues twisting together as Danny starts to move his hips, humping Joa’s cock like his life depends upon it. His own cock is pressed between their stomachs, going from being ignored to almost overstimulated. Still, he humps away, fucking himself on Joaquim’s cock.
Even when Joa breaks the kiss, he doesn’t let go of the back of Danny’s neck. “My boy,” the redhead growls, mouth pressed against Danny’s ear. “My fucking boy, aren’t you?”
“Y-yeah,” Dannay manages to moan out, “yours. A-Always.”
“Good boy, Dankovsky.”
It’s with a hiss that Danny cums, making a mess out of both of them. Still, he keeps going, hips almost moving on their own.
“Wanna take a break, babe?”
“N-not until you f-fuck me f-full. Wa…want your cum. N-now.”
Danny doesn’t have time to think before he’s on his back again, legs getting pulled up over Joaquim’s shoulders.
“As you wish, princess.”
“My loyal knight, huh?”
Danny’s laugh gets cut off by a loud groan as Joaquim moves, fucking him deeper than before.
“My love” Joaquim murmurs. “My love, my boy, my everything. Mine. Forever.”
“Yours,” Danny agrees, eyes starting to roll back into his head as he’s slam fucked into the soft ground. “Yours, yours, yours. F-forever.”
With a grunt, Joa cums, fucking Danny through his own orgasm as the taller man writhes under him.
Slowly Joaquim starts to pull back, cock slipping free from Danny’s puffy hole. He doesn't make it far, though, Danny’s legs locking around him and pulling him back down.
“Quick break, yeah? Then round two?”
“You insatiable pervert.”
“Your insatiable pervert.”
Joaquim throws his head back, laughter shaking his body, and it’s all Danny can do not to jump him again, press him back into the grass and guide his still soft cock back inside. He promised a break, after all, and there was plenty of time for Joaquim to fuck the feeling out of his legs.

Chapter 8
J: This is a Big ass waste of time.
K: Oh Really ?
I look at her.
J: No need to get Sassy now.
K: Sorry I’m just Upset.
I hug her.
J: It’s ok. I’m too. Let’s go.
Kit nods in my Shoulder. I give her a Kiss on the Head and let her go.
Ja: And where do you think you’re going ?
K: To the Shattered Sea.
Ja: Alone ?
J: You’re More than Welcome to Join us.
K: But we’re sure as hell not waiting around for Muffin Girl to learn to pick the Right finger.
Jade stops in front of us.
Ja: Okay. Her name is Elora Danan, and we owe her our Allegiance.
K: Says Willow.
Ja: She bears the Mark.
K: Maybe he put it there.
J: It wasn’t there before. And even if it was Raziel.
K: How do we know she didn’t mark a bunch of Babies ?
J: Maybe you have one too ?
K: Maybe You’re Elora Danan.
B: Maybe I’m Elora Danan.
I look at Boorman who puts his head in a Bucket and then looks at us.
B: Always thought there was something special inside me.
He walks to us.
Ja: You don’t believe it either.
B: It’s not that I don’t believe it, as much as I don’t Really care.
I look at Kit who Nods. We both get on our Horses.
Ja: So, you have a better idea how to save the Prince ?
B: Oh, I’m bursting for the Better Ideas. But first I recommend that we Split, before miss chosen face catches Wind and decides to follow.
G: You shouldn’t do that.
Boorman Jumps surprised. I look at Graydon.
J: Lurk Much ?
G: She is Elora Danan. I’m sure of it.
K: How can you provide me one shred of Evidence that proves she’s capable of Literally anything.
J: Magical or not ?
W: Idiots ! Nincompoops ! Where is she ?
J: Yo, what’d you just call us ?
G: Elora ?
Ja: We thought she was with you.
I roll my Eyes and Look at Kit. She has the same look. Great, she ran away. Again.
W: This right here is why no one’s allowed above the Ground ever.
K: Relax she’s probably just frolicking in a meadow somewhere nearby.
W: Oh Yeah, forgot you’re Hilarious. You and your Friend are also being awfully cavalier with the fate of the World Princess.
I raise my eyebrows. Did he just call me her friend ? Thought we were obvious enough.
W: Now think about this for a Moment. Everyone you’ve ever Cared about will be made to serve the power behind the Crone and their only hope of escaping that nightmare is now wandering around in the Woods !
I sigh.
S: Stay in Pairs. Let’s spread out.
Jade starts walking too.
K: Where are you going ?
Ja: To look for her. But you two just do what you want. You always do.
She walks off. I turn Moon around and look over my shoulder to Kit.
J: Let’s go.
She nods. And starts riding.
J: Maybe she’s also on the way.
K: I hope not.
After we’ve crossed the Woods and arrive by the Mountains. From there on we walk. Moon and Eclipse walk in front of us. I hold Kit’s hand.
K: You really think they’ll come after us ?
J: Elora won’t stay with the Nelwyn. She loves Aryk.
K: What would you’ve done if I was taken ?
J: Oh I would have panicked a lot. Then I would’ve Panicked even More and then I wouldn’t stop till I found you. Especially considering your Condition.
Kit stops and Looks at me.
K: Did you just call our Baby a condition ?
I lay my hands on her Hips.
J: I didn’t mean it like that. But I worry all the time. What if we don’t get back on Time or you get Hurt ? I won’t be able to Forgive myself if you get hurt when I could’ve prevented it. And I won’t let anything Bad Happen to you.
Kit looks at me with Tears in her eyes.
K: Don’t you dare to get yourself killed to keep me safe.
J: If I have to I would.
K: Please don’t.
She gives me a Kiss. I smile at her.
J: Let’s keep walking.
After a few minutes we hear other Horses. We stop and look back.
J: Told you.
Kit nudges my side. Boor man gets off his Horse. And walks next to us.
B: Wow, you really Covered some distance.
K: I’m really not in the Mood for Banter.
B: Ah, that’s a shame. You know I want you two to know I’m with you. I’m not with them.
We both look at Boorman.
B: I was coming to find you. But, uh, it just so happens we’re all going the same road so I, I duped them into thinking that I’m with them. The truth is I’m with.
J: Yeah.
K: We get the Gist.
B: You know Despite what you may’ve heard I’m not actually a thief by Trade. I’m what you might call an Obtainer of Rare artifacts.
K: Grave Robber.
B: Hmm. Treasure Hunter. And I became this, because when I was about your Age someone told me the Legend of the Kymerian Cuirass.
J: The Kymerian Cuirass ?
B: Yeah. The Cuirass. A legendary Armor …
K: Yeah we know what that is.
B: Kinda changed my Life.
I look at him.
K: And so, you wasted it ?
J: Searching for a Magical Breastplate that somebody told you in a Bedtime Story ?
K: Yeah that’s like the saddest thing I’ve ever heard.
B: No. Your Father and your Brother Jane, They didn’t think it was sad. No, they spend Five years searching the world for it. I know ‘cause I was with them. I was your dads, Squire.
K: So, what ? You’re telling me you know what happened to them ?
Kit’s grip on my Hand tightens.
B: Oh yeah. They found it.
We stop walking. Boorman doesn’t.
K: Huh ?
Moon and Eclipse walk to us. We get up and keep riding ahead of the others. On the way I see Rabbits. I grab Kits Bow and shoot two of them.
K: Oh, really ?
J: What ? We gotta eat something, don't we ?
I get off Moon, pick them up, pull the Arrows out and bind the Rabbits to Moon's saddle. Then I catch up with the others. When the sun starts to go down, we make Camp. After eating we sit down by the Fire. I sit behind Kit learning on Moons saddle. She’s laying in my Arms and we listen to Willow and Elora Talk.

These Irish idealists built their own eco-village: 'Sustainable living is possible'
Tumblr media
Established in 1999, Cloughjordan Ecovillage is Ireland's first eco-village
A group of young environmentalists started a wild plan in the late 1990s to build Ireland's first eco-village to fight the climate crisis. More than twenty years later, the village is half finished.
In the early morning sunbeams play with the morning mist among the full apple trees in the Irish eco-village of Cloughjordan[1] (pronounced: klokdjorden). It is quiet. Farmer Pat Malone rides a bicycle towards his horses, his dog runs ahead of him. Pa Finucane cruises along the narrow asphalt roads in his red hybrid Hyundai to the supermarket, to get The Irish Times and oat milk for the guests of his hostel.
Malone and Finucane occupy two of the now 55 houses in the eco-village, that has about the size of fifty football fields. The houses are grouped together in small clusters. They are large houses that you might just come across in newly created residential districts in other countries. In the middle is a large co-working building, the central heating boilers and a park with solar panels. These mark the transition to the edible forest, the various gardens, the amphitheatre and the community farm.
Those 55 houses are considered a disappointment; the plan was that there would already be 130. The start went very well, in the late 1990s. The idea arose among visitors to an organic market in Dublin – about a two-hour drive from Cloughjordan. “A lot of us were activists,” said Davie Philip, one of the founders. “We blocked roads and a few of us were arrested for destroying the sugar beets of the multinational Monsanto. But something was going on. Throughout Europe, activists turned into pro-activists. Instead of being against something, they started talking about what they were actually for.”
Two meadows
Likewise in Ireland. Philip and a few others founded Sustainable Projects Ireland[2], an educational institution that became the parent company of the eco-village. It was the start of a two-year exploratory process in which ideas were formed, experts were consulted, field trips undertaken and new members recruited through monthly information evenings on the market. The 'project' then bought two pastures next to the original rural village of Cloughjordan.
Philip: “Our project was given a different model than existing eco-villages. By integrating with an existing village, we wanted to play a role in the regeneration of the countryside. The eco-village brought new people as customers to the existing stores, who were train users and sent their children to school.”
Making rural life flourish seems to have been successful. While facilities are closing in surrounding villages, Cloughjordan still has two primary schools, a supermarket and two pubs open – even more facilities have been opened such as a bookshop and cafe.
Show that it is possible
Veronica Ryan – one of the first residents – was particularly motivated by those words 'sustainable' and 'building' from the village's slogan: 'Building Sustainable Community'. “Sustainable living was still a topic that was not much discussed. We wanted to show that it was possible.” When later on it was discovered that the village had the lowest ecological footprint in Ireland, it was an important milestone and confirmation for her and the community, she says.
According to Ryan, sustainability is primarily apparent from the choices made when building. “The houses were then definitely cutting-edge in terms of energy efficiency, we were the only one in Ireland to have a central heating system and the water drainage system was also unique. Fortunately, society has now overtaken us on most points.”
Ryan works part-time for the eco-village and coordinates the education group. From the beginning, it was the desire to share the lessons learned with the outside world. And that happens. For example, in the weekly tour of the ecovillage and the giving of courses. They also welcome university students who do research and regularly visit groups from different backgrounds. Ryan: “Professors say they bring their students here because it gives them hope that one can achieve something.”
Edible forest
Sustainability is also apparent from the way the land is organised. A third is intended for housing, a third for agriculture and a third for an edible forest. For Ryan, that's important: “We share the planet with nature.” Hundreds of fruit and nut trees are planted on that land. At this time of year, the apple trees are full and the village has just had an unexpectedly large first cherry harvest.
The community farm is another initiative to explore a sustainable lifestyle. It is owned by the approximately seventy members who together pay the salary of the two farmers and the necessary investments. In exchange for sixteen euros per adult per week, they have unlimited harvest authorisation. The farmers grow about 40different crops using traditional farming techniques and ensure the arrival of young people in the community: every year there is room for six European volunteers who help for a year.
Tumblr media
Growing food
The village has several agricultural initiatives, such as the research garden called the RED Gardens, the organic cattle ranch Crawfords Farm just outside the village and The Night Orchard, that makes apple cider. There is also its own ecological bakery.
Joe Fitzmaurice and his wife own a bakery with a wood-fired oven. They now bake rye and sourdough bread for which they only use organic flour, without chemical additives. Fitzmaurice himself started baking less and less bread. Instead, he teaches courses so that people can bake themselves.
People with strong opinions
However, not everything goes without a struggle. Davie Philip: “95 percent of the communities that start are falling apart because of conflict”. He no longer lives in the eco-village himself. “There are people with strong opinions,” explains Veronica Ryan. She also sees the positive side. “Because we've been through so much together, trust has been built up.”
One of the crises that shaped the village was the financial crisis in 2008. The master plan was to build 133 homes. All lots were sold and paid for. Due to the crisis, people had to withdraw and there are now only 55 houses. As a result, the loans have still not been repaid, the costs of the central facilities have to be borne by fewer people and the work involved in building a village has to be done by fewer people.
Yet that crisis at the beginning may now be an opportunity. Philip remains idealistic: “I am not interested in a village with large eco-houses. I question personal ownership. Why don't we let the houses belong to a cooperative?” He prefers to build houses where people can live together and he experiments with cheaper forms of living so that young people can also come to the village.
The question is therefore what will be connected to the black pipes that still protrude from the ground on the undeveloped lots. According to Philip, the village is slowly turning into a retirement home if no action is taken. Will the village be able to reinvent itself and provide space for a second generation of young families and idealists with wild plans?

Thursday 19.. February 1835
7 5
11 ¾
no kiss A-‘s cousin came very gently last night on getting into bed  very fine morning but rain at 7 and afterwards, and F44° now at 8 ¾ - breakfast at 9 ¼ to 10 - then a few minutes with my father then had Mr Washington - gave me his and Mr William Armitage’s, of Mirfield,  valuation at £5.5.0 per acre of the manure laid on the Shibden low meadows by Mr Carr - and a list of the Staups rents and told me that Stocks was going to buy land of Joseph Wilkinson to build a public house on the corner of land between the new Northowram and Lower brea roads - told SW to be on the look after this matter and invent some of getting over Stocks - talked to SW about Gill and the yew-trees wood baring business - and told him SW- to measure and mark off the 3500 yards of stone sold to SF- that I might know what part of the wood was in my own hands and what part contained the stone sold to F-  SW- says it will be difficult nobody knowing where the stone will run - own  that for one D.W. sold another will be spoiled -I said the £700 paid by SF- would not repay me for the damage done - I will make no allowance for ruttle in future but sell a certain plot of ground contain what stone it may – SW- much approved this plan - saying he had nothing but trouble about allowance for ruttle and nobody was ever satisfied - Left him with A- at 11 - wrote the above of today - sealed my letter sent by George at 11 ½ to ‘Monsieur L. Gaudin, Topographe,  à Genève en Swisse post paid’  and off to Halifax at 11 50 A-being with Miss Dyson of Willowhall who had just called on her - went down the old bank to Mr Parker’s office - both he and Mr A- there the latter gave me his opinion of the Low house and knowle top coal leas (joint property) and the former said he was just writing the letters about trespass committed by the hunters - advised my putting a board up at the toll bar - told him to consider how to word the notice given - he and Mr A- both for my confining my action to one or 2 of the hunters - Justly fixed on Messrs. Jeremiah Dyson and John Carr - I forget who had applied for Northgate but Mr. P- said it was let - then to District Bank in George street - Mr. Mackean the manager very civil and a well-behaved nice person to deal with - pleased with him so took his notes for both A-‘s bills Hinscliffe’s at 2 months due on the 26th instant for £30 (indorsed only by himself) and Patterson at 2 months due on the 20th instant for £100.13.0 indorsed by himself and Messrs. Briggs and sons and one more others - I ought to have taken more notice - McK- said their banker was to have been the 1st of the new banks opened but they had some difficulty in getting the premises - take the small house and shop behind and pay £80 per annum to Sutcliffe the spirit merchant now occupying Northgate house - said I was going to build and should by this time 12 months have a capital situation to let for which should have many applications - thought I, the end house of my 5 new houses will surely be as well worth £80 per annum as Sutcliffe’s house and shop in George Street - then at Whitley’s - Gell’s Itinerary of Ithaca published at £2.18.0 in 1807 Booth would let me have for 20/. said I would think about it as well, as about Fergusons Roman Republic 5 volumes 8vo. for 35/. (published at 3 guineas?) - then  at Greenwoods - to come at 1pm on Monday - home up the new bank at 1 35 - wrote the last 18 lines till 2 10 then went down to Mr Bradley - he had been upon the house top and ordered the glazier about a new lead gutter - the glazier and thatchier I had seen just before going to Halifax the former said the new gutter would cost a shilling per stone more than the old lead would see for, and the new gutter would consequentially cost £3 or £4 - Mr B- to be here at 9 am on Monday, as I shall have Mallinson at 10 and Thomas Greenwood at 11
Throp and his man filled up Nedley park top far corner hedge etc and left off this afternoon till sent for again -
to give me a rough idea about Northgate and my future building plan that I may know what to say to Thomas G- just hinted to Mr B- that the end of the house of the 5 new ones might be a good situation for a bank - yes! said Mr B- and for a new room - Mr B- has no doubt of my getting a good tenant for Northgate house if it was an Inn and thinks I should get it licensed - Joseph and John Mann had been in the house sometime when I went to them at 3 leaving Mr Bradley taking a rough sketch from the plan for the Northgate property - had 2 Manns 1st in the hall and afterwards in the north dining room till 5 - had the small plan of the estate down and they made me understand their plan about the coals§ - (dinner at 6 ¼) - coffee - ½ hour with my father till 8 ¾ - then sat talking - about ½ hour with my aunt till 10 10 - fine morning - from about 2 pm very wintery stormy afternoon - snow, large flakes, and rain and windy towards night - F42 ½° now at 10 ¾ pm - found cousin coming very gently in the course of the morning and put on linen for dinner
§ their plan is, supposing the water wheel to be put down at Tilly holm stile, to sink a pit in Charles Howarth’s paddock (no.139) no! said I say John Oates’s Croft (no.133a) which they agreed would do as well particularly if the pit mouth raised a little so as to get easily up the hill of the road ----- and driven up 2 heads from Tilly holm stile to this Pump-pit which they could do very well if they had a vent-hole in the corner of the Dolt (no.141) just behind my walk which vent-hole or chimney might be filled up again as soon as the Pump-pit was bottomed - they would then make Pump-pit not only a working pit as soon as bottomed (and the coal would sell the pits mouth at 7 ½ per corve or load) but a vent pit for Walker pit - and they would drive straight 2 heads from P. pit to Walker pit and all the coal above the Wakefield road and between the 2 pits would be pulled at Walker pit, and all the coal below the Wakefield road would be pulled at Pump-pit - and tho’ the coal at the latter would be a 1/2d. a corve cheaper (that it sell for a 1/2d. a corve less) than at the former, the difference would be gained in the pulling (say 110 yards to putt at W. Pit and 60 yards at

 P. pit) so that I should sell my coal to the takers of the colliery for as much at one pit as the other - I should by all means let the same people have both pits - to divide the concern would spoil both parts of it - would by all means have me sink a new pit 50 or 60 yards farther this way (eastwards) along the plantation top; for Holt’s plant of chambering the present Walker pit would be a serious detriment to the colliery - there would be all that level to spend i.e. it would be a serious pull up hill for the hurriers just at the last - besides it would be much better to leave a good barrier of coal all along on that side than I could at anytime stop Spiggs colliery and do as I liked - let all that face of coal stand covered with water, and throw on to Mr. Rawson what he would not like to have - Holt might depend upon it if I stopt Spiggs that the present Walker pit would stand a good depth in water  - (yes! and it has since occurred to me that others besides myself (John Oates and Hinscliffe’s son vid. p.    ) can stop Spiggs colliery in right of the deed from Wilkinson .:. those others might incommode me if they liked and obliged me to chamber the present Walker pit whether I wished it or not - therefore let nothing persuade me not to sink a new Walker pit as soon as this present one has served to get the remnant of coal at present loose and to find out the trespasses committed in my land - R- may have done a little Messrs. Walsh and Hinscliffe much more) the Manns convinced me that to drive 2 straight heads from Tilly holm stile to the present or a new Walker pit would not do - I should loose very little coal by it - it would be a long pull up hill from the bottom to the top - that is, as I understood it, I should only loose what coal would lie to the north west, i.e. Shibden hall side, of the drift driven from Tilly holm-stile to Walker pit - if so, the low land would be loosed but very little of the upper land and a vent hole would be wanting for driving up drifts - but by having a pit at Pump I should loose the whole sweep of coal lying on the Shibden hall side of Pump and upwards in the line parallel to the present old water head hold marked by a dotted red line going under the Conery houses - 2 pits better than one - could not pull over more than 5 colliers at Walker pit i.e. could not get the coal pulled up fast enough to employ more than 5 colliers (pickmen getting coal) and .:. 5 colliers would not get more than from 1 ½ to 2 acres per annum - could pull perhaps twice as much (if I liked and could find sale for it) at Pump pit - so that 1 pit could only sell from 1 ½ to 2 acres and 2 pits might double the quantity or more - could not get Joseph Mann to make even a rough guess at what might be bid for the coal at the letting - I said rails and everything would be found - the takers would only have to find rails for their buts of byroads - then said John Mann just at the last ‘well! there might be £150 per acre bid’ - said I rather quickly that wont do - the setting up the colliery will cost me from £1500 to £2000 - I ought to have 10 p.c. on this money and on £2000, 10 p.c. = £200 and if only 2 acres per annum are got I should only have £100 for the coal - and if 3 acres were got I should only have £250 for the coal, and to get even 3 acres I must have 2 pits - I must hear what Holt says - my chief questions to him must be How much can be sold per annum? at one pit and at 2 pits -  and will the coal fetch or will it be worth £150 per acre? on talking with Charles H- this morning, and saying I must have my dam at the top end of my brookage, in Godley Ing (no.14) or Wellroyde holme (no.16) he reminded me that the Spiggs water comes out so much below where my dam till be that that water can do me no good for the coal water -wheel - but that if I stop Spiggs colliery and raise the water to the top of the old Engine pit in Godley Ing then I shall get the benefit of the water to my dam and if I drive my wheel-goit as near as may be - dead level it will always stand full of water and be like a 2nd dam or reservoir to hold water when scarce in summer   that I had evidently best stop the Spiggs water and thus get it for my own double use - as it will then serve me for my coal wheel as well as for Mytholm mill - Surely I shall understand this matter tolerably by and by - this Tilly holme Loose will loose my Lower brea? and Wellroyde = 9a.1r.6o. and Wilkinson coal = 9a.3r.9p. and about ½ Tilly holm, ditto Dolt, and say all the land on this side Pump lane and George N-‘s 2 upper place fields numero 120 and 121 (and the plot of Dove house land on this side Pump Lane) - .:. the Land of mine loosed on this side the brook = about 122a.2r.2p.

Suppose me to get only the coal on this side of the brook i.e. in Southowram there 112a.2r.2p. at 4 acres per annum = 122.2.2./4 = 28 yards + so that, if I live to be old, I may go on getting coal at 4 acre per annum long enough - nous verrons

Suppose I loose 130 acres of coal for £2000 and leave 15 acres of barrier = + 6 acres of Staups for barrier on that side 115 acres loosed for £2,000 worth £150 per acre to be paid for as got
115x150 = £17250

Pics: Weird astronomical photos.
A. The "Glowing Eye" or "Dandelion Puffball" planetary nebula¹ in the Aquila² constellation, 6,500 light years away.
Almost a light year in diameter.
B. The "Veil Nebula" is the result of a star, that was 20 times larger than our sun, going nova³ 8,000 years ago!
It's located 2,100 light years away in the Cygnus⁴ constellation.
And, it's translucent filaments are made out of delicate plasma⁵ threads.
C. A 2019 International Space Station photo of a "blue jet⁶." It arose from a thundercloud & 'splashed' against the Earth's ionosphere⁷.
The jet was preceded by a "blue bang⁸" near & above the island of Nauru, out in the Pacific Ocean.
D. Photo of the Milky Way⁹ seeming to arch - above Yosemite National Park¹⁰?
No other info found on it.
E. Gigantic cyclones over Jupiter's North Pole. 1st imaged - in infrared¹¹ - on 2016 by the Juno probe.
All of the hurricanes turn counter- clockwise & almost form a stormy octagon!
An 'unstable' shape - that never-the- less has survived since 2020!
Weird Shit: In 2000, a large x-ray spot was found at this Pole! An 'emitter'¹² that pulses every 45 minutes.
Another, smaller x-ray pulse was also found in Jupiter's South Pole as well!
And still, nobody knows why they're there...
F. A close-up of Jupiter's turbulent atmosphere, with its marble colored cloud cover. Photo courtesy of the Juno probe.
Often compared to a Van Gogh painting...
I found no other info.
G. From April of 2023, a truly massive plasma 'waterfall' over 61,000 miles above the sun's surface!! Caused by a flare large enough to swallow 8 of our Earths!
The 100s of plasma threads 'dripping' back down are caused by the sun's magnetic field's¹³ pull.
Though not rare, they aren't usually photographed. Another was 'caught' way back in 2008!
Notes:
1. An expanding region of cast-off gas & dust from the outer layers of dying red giant stars.
They have nothing to do with planets!
2. Aquila is Latin for the "Eagle" constellation. This represents the bird that carried the Roman God Jupiter's lightning bolts!
It's brightest star is Altair.
3. The sudden flaring up of a dying star, that slowly fades out over the following weeks or months.
This explosion doesn't destroy the star & it may flare up again...
4. Cygnus is Latin for the prominent "Swan" constellation.
Has many deep space objects near it. The 1st known x-ray source, Cygnus X-1, is located here.
5. Plasma is the 4th form of matter, after solids, liquids & gasses.
Its electrons wander freely among atomic 'cores' - instead of staying put orbiting one nucleus.
Some examples are: lightning, solar winds, auroras, neon, stars, etc...
6. Blue jets are bizarre forms of up- side-down lightning that shoot up- ward some 31 miles & last a bit less than a second!!
The color is due to nitrogen becoming electronically 'excited' into releasing some of its energy - as light.
7. But, the circular 'elf' marks where the intense & expanding electric pulse hit the Earth's ionosphere, which extends 37 to 190 miles & that carries radio signals far around our planet.
8. A blue bang is the violent mixing of cloud material with different electrical charges.
This proceeds & generates the blue jet.
9. The Milky Way is the large spiral galaxy in which our solar system finds itself.
It seems to form a hazy band of dust & clouds - from our POV. One that appears like a milky spill of light on dark nights.
10. Yosemite was 'born' in 1864 & is best known for its grand waterfalls.
But, it also includes deep valleys, big meadows, giant sequoias - even a vast wilderness area!
Beautiful spot for some astronomy...
11. Infrared is actually a wavelength of light radiation which is usually emitted by hot objects - like living things.
In the spectrum, it lies between the color red & microwaves.
Used in sensors, night vision devices, remotes, etc...
12. Outer space X-ray emitters or sources are only easy to spot - if they're seen straight on!
Otherwise, they seem 'hidden' if pointed slightly away from Earth!!
Most stellar objects shine with only a little bit of x-ray light.
But, strong x-ray emitters are a million times brighter than the total output of our sun!
They can actually be seen millions of light years away - in other galaxies!!
The closest x-ray source is SS 433, which is 10 times larger than our sun. It's actually in our galaxy - around 20,000 light years from us...
13. The electromagnetic field is the magnetic effects created in space by moving electrical charges.
Light, electricity & magnetism are different forms of this radiation.
This is the fundamental force for the creation of stable atoms & chemistry.
1913: Recap.
Bio: A perturbed Lovecraft wrote in to the Argosy magazine, stating that the love story genre & a certain Fred Jackson's tales - in particular - weren't up to par with the zine's usual quality.
Howard further asked for such work to not take over most of the Argosy's print space.
All this, even though HPL knew that some people did like such stories.
Readers who felt the same way as Lovecraft, also derided Jackson's tales for being cheap, disposable & sentimental trash!!
Well... Jackson's fans quickly came to his defense!
The upshot being an almost year long, snail mail war in the pages of Argosy & it's sister publications.
Most of it was just good natured 'sparring' between the two parties involved.
Which just goes to show that 'trolling' isn't limited to the Internet. Nor is it a recent activity.
People have been taking 'wild offense' at other's opinions since humans 1st developed.
All of this versified 'smack talk' did bring Howard to the attention of the UAPA, a group of amateur writers - from around the U.S. - who published their own fanzines & magazines.
HPL joined the UAPA in April, 1914.
1921 Quotation: HPL, "(In) the United, I obtained a renewed will to live; a(n) existence... other than (as) a superfluous weight; a sphere in which... my efforts were not... futile. For the 1st time, my clumsy groupings after Art were... more than faint cries in the unlistening void."
Output: Lovecraft returned to writing a new astronomical column in the Providence Evening News - until 1918.
He also wrote the poems "Ad Criticos" & "End of the Jackson War" in 1914.

Mark 12:28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” Mark 12:29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ Mark 12:31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

John 10:35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— John 10:36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? John 10:37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. John 10:38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”
Luke 1:57 When it was time for Elizabeth to have her baby, she gave birth to a son. Luke 1:58 Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy. Mark 15:1 Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, made their plans. So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate. Mark 15:2 “Are you the king of the Jews?” asked Pilate. “You have said so,” Jesus replied. Mark 15:16 The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. Mark 15:17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. Mark 15:18 And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!” Mark 15:19 Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. Mark 15:20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him. Mark 15:21 A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. Mark 15:22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). Mark 15:23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. Mark 15:24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get. Mark 15:25 It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. Mark 15:26 The written notice of the charge against him read: The King of the Jews. Mark 15:27 They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. Mark 15:28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors. Mark 15:29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, Mark 15:30 come down from the cross and save yourself!” Mark 15:31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! Mark 15:32 Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him. Mark 15:33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. Mark 15:34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). Mark 15:35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.” Mark 15:36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said. Mark 15:37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. Mark 15:38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” Mark 15:40 Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph, and Salome.

TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society, Hebrew-English) Pages 77, 78, and 79: Genesis 37:8 His brothers answered, "Do you mean to reign over us? Do you mean to rule over us?" And they hated him even more for his talk about his dreams. Genesis 37:9 He dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers, saying, "Look, I have had another dream: And this time, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me." Genesis 37:10 And when he told it to his father and brothers, his father berated him. "What," he said to him, "is this dream you have dreamed? Are we to come, I and your mother and yhour brothers, and bow low to you to the ground?" Genesis 37:17 The man said, "They have gone from here, for I heard them say: Let us go to Dothan." So Joseph followed his brothers and found them at Dothan. Genesis 37:18 They saw him from afar, and before he came close to them they conspired to kill him. Genesis 37:19 They said to one another, "Here comes that dreamer! Genesis 37:20 Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits; and we can say, 'A savage beast devoured him.' We shall see what comes of his dreams!" Genesis 37:21 But when Reuben heard it, he tried to save him from them. He said, "Let us not take his life." Genesis 37:22 And Reuben went on, "Shed no blod! Cast him into that pit out in the wilderness, but do not touch him yourselves"--intending to save him from them and restore him to his father. Genesis 37:23 When Joseph came up to his brothers, they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the ornamented tunic that he was wearing, Genesis 37:24 and took him and cast him into the pit. The pit was empty; there was no water in it. Genesis 37:25 Then they sat down to a meal. Looking up, they saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead, their camels bearing gum, balm, and ladanum to be taken to Egypt. Genesis 37:26 Then Judah said to his brothers, "What do we gain by killing our brother and covering up his blood? Genesis 37:27 Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, but let us not do away with him ourselves. After all, he is our brother, our own flesh." His brothers agreed. Genesis 37:28 When Midianite traders passed by, they pulled Joseph up out of the pit. They sold Joseph for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who brought Joseph to Egypt.

Strong's Concordance #2442 chakah: the idea of piercing; properly, to adhere to; hence, to await -- long, tarry, to wait. Original Word: חָכָה
“I believe with complete faith in the coming of Mashiach. Though he tarry, nonetheless I await him every day, that he will come.”
TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society, Hebrew-English) Page 382: Deuteronomy 4:3 You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did in the matter of Baal-peor, that the Lord your God wiped out from among you every person who followed Baal-peor; Deuteronomy 4:4 while you, who held fast to the Lord your God, are all alive today.
James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? James 4:2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society, Hebrew-English) Page 1627: Proverbs 17:1 Better a dry crust with peace Than a house full of feasting with strife.
Matthew 17:1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. Matthew 17:2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Matthew 17:3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Matthew 17:4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” Matthew 17:5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” Matthew 17:6 When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. Matthew 17:7 But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” Matthew 17:8 When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus. Matthew 17:9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Redbone is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1969 by brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas. All members during their commercial peak and success were of Mexican American and Native American heritage, which was heavily reflected in their songs, stage costumes, and album art. The word "redbone" is a Cajun term for a mixed-race person, which the band adopted to signify their mixed ancestry. The Vasquez-Vegas brothers were of Yaqui, Shoshone, and Mexican heritage.
Born in Coalinga, California, near Fresno, brothers Patrick (bass and vocals) and Candido "Lolly" Vasquez-Vegas (guitar and vocals) moved to Los Angeles in 1959 and played for ten years in clubs under the name of Pat and Lolly Vegas. Pat won Coca-Cola's first singing competition in 1958 at age 17. He also won a recording contract, which he put off to move to Los Angeles with Lolly. They performed at local clubs on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard (such as Gazzari's) while writing and playing on records by Tina Turner, Sonny & Cher, James Brown, Little Richard, and Elvis, among other legendary artists. According to Pat Vegas, Jimi Hendrix, himself part Cherokee, inspired the musicians to form an all-Native American rock group. (Hendrix himself stated that Lolly Vegas was his favorite guitarist and biggest influence in music). They signed as the band 'Redbone' to Epic Records in 1969.
They reached the Top 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1974 with their hit single, "Come and Get Your Love". The single went certified Gold selling over a million copies. It also made Redbone the first Native American band to reach the top five on the US Billboard Hot 100, with the song reaching number 5.
Redbone was inducted into the Native American Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008, as well as the legendary NY Smithsonian in 2013. They were also honored with vein painted on the largest mural in the U.S. in Fresno, California. On August 30, 2014, Pat Vegas was honored with the Lifetime Achievement "Legend" Award from the "West Coast American Indian Music Awards." (Wikipedia)

Room 303 was a room within the Heart O' The City Hotel from Mega City in the Matrix. It contained a hardline, and so was a location that redpills could use to safely escape from the Matrix. Trinity conducted her surveillance of Thomas Anderson from a laptop computer in this room. She was forced to flee after the Agents cut the room's hardline, forcing her to find another exit. Neo was directed to the same hotel room to escape from the Matrix and pursuing Agents. However, Agent Smith ambushed Neo and shot him before he could reach the phone there. After defeating Smith, Neo escaped the Matrix using the phone in Room 303 before the Nebuchadnezzar disabled the Sentinels, and itself, by using EMP. Sixty years later, Neo's Modal contains a simulated reenactment of Trinity's escape from the Agents in this room which is witnessed by Bugs. The number "303" appears to be an allusion to the character Trinity, whose name in Christian theology defines the three-in-one nature of the single Christian God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This allusion is supported by Trinity kissing the lifeless Neo, whose life functions return as Neo transfigures into the One after exiting the room. (Fandom.com)

Here's a little bit of Christian creative writing based upon the Santiago/Saint James writing prompt:
Sentinels by Dr. Wilfred Waterson (November 25, 2023) The coastal monolith wading ankle deep was a sun-bleached sentinel stationed south of the salty mouth of the living river that'd called them all by name. Those sailors, who thought they'd seen everything, had never heard seasoned water say such things; so they grew deep roots in that humble little fishing town. They studied ancient mysteries and became sentries for liberty; praying night and day their newfound walls of faith would remain as long as sunsets came to hear lullabies sung by glistening seas. And they'd sing, "Spring-fed river living eternally in me, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, but should I die before I wake, may I live on with Jesus in the Kingdom of Heaven today." It dawned on them they weren't just His servants, they'd become best friends with a fisherman; so they tindered a gentle vigil flame for Him. Their meek shoulders bore His easy yoke of mustard seed faith, truth, freedom, and love; and the Holy Spirit descended upon them like a dove from heaven. Each day was greeted by feeding His sheep, then fishing for people while lacking nothing; and once every foot was cleaned, by a candlelight dinner delivered from grace, they'd lift a hymn to heaven that went: "Light of the world, thanks for freeing us from our sins with Your faithfulness, love and living water. But if we've strayed today, please plead our case and ask for little more patience from Your understanding Father. We pray in Your name He'll love our hearts of stone back into covenant flesh, so it can't happen again. May we, please, feed Your sheep and fish for more people for Your Father in the mornin'? Amen."
James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings. James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, James 1:3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. James 1:8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. James 1:9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.

Luke 8:49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.” Luke 8:50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Luke 8:52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.” Luke 8:53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. Luke 8:54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Luke 8:55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
Luke 11:52 “Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”
John 11:47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. “What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. John 11:48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.” John 11:49 Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, “You know nothing at all! John 11:50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.” John 11:51 He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, John 11:52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.
