how did they meet? wellllll given the fact that they both made their debut about the same time, i Kinda think we have about Two options:

they were longtime besties, one came across 2 miraculouses and decided to share with the other? or

they met... in some way involving the miraculouses?? like.. ok hear me out...

Maya walks down the sidewalk at twilight, on her nightly walk to central park. Her headphones are on, a Dua Lipa song cheering her on as she walks alone in the not-so-dark.

The light pollution in New York City gets worse every year. She looks to the sky with disappointment.

...But, she catches sight of something. A shooting star? A meteor? She doesn’t know a lot about space, not quite the science type, but she knows it’s something.

As she walks, it’s hard to take her attention off the streaking beam of light... beams...? It’s splitting into two now. And as she grows closer to central park, she begins to get nervous.

That distant streak of light slowly becomes more than just a line across the sky. It’s- an orb? It’s coming closer, coming down.

Maya freezes in place, frozen, as she watches the light crash into the not-so-distance....

The crash of the light into central park sets of distant car alarms, cats yowling in fear. But the impact of the crash itself is the loudest of all.. after that, it’s just echoes of the reactions....

Maya, for a single moment, wonders if she should head home. Go to bed, pretend she never saw it.

... But then again, what a coincidence. She feels... giddy, deep down on the inside. This is something she’d never be able to pass up, right? Even not knowing what it is...

Maya ventures into central park. She weaves down the paved paths, through bushes and narrowly dodging stinky dog poop idiots left out.

And soon enough, she finds that light.

There’s a glowing crater in the Earth, still hot and fresh from the alien impact. ...Alien.. is that what this is? Maya wonders. She begins to approach, when she hears-

Another set of footsteps? Doug freezes. He’s not usually out this late, but... there was a lot on his mind. Grief, mostly. And he needed an evening jog to get it out.

He chased a falling star into central park, and now... there stands this girl. Did she.. come with the light? Little does he know, she wonders the same about him. But he can see the way she tenses when they spot one another. Doug blanches, stares wide-eyed at her, and then down, wide-eyed, at the hole in the dirt.

“....Ladies first,” Doug mumbles, backing down.

Maya laughs. Nervous, but pleasantly surprised. She slowly approaches the pit, and crouches down beside it...

She furrows her brow, looking at the goodies from outer space. Then she looks up at Doug.

“Wanna go 50/50?”

The others don't look your way. You just try to slink behind Bobunny, not because you feel particularly close to her, but because she's the de-facto leader. It is, to a point, her job to represent you publicly.

It's harder with the rest. Maybe Capricorn is especially friendly and vibrant; maybe there's something about Fluttermouse that makes you want to know more about her; maybe you know that you know Dugout better than the rest already.

But when you all stand side by side in uniform, you aren't cohesive. You look in the reflections of lenses, and the monitors that play back the recording footage, and you see that nothing about the costumes ties you to any of the rest.

They figure you'll know what to say when the microphones come shoving towards your lips. You're strong enough not to crumple under the pressure, so what support do you need?
