With the DCLA characters that I imagine having kids, or at least that would WANT kids, I often have them paired up in a ship, or in two cases, a single parent that either adopted or IVFed herself.

But then there’s characters where I’m like ”they seem like they want kids but I don’t know how they’d have them or if they would despite wanting to”

A character like that is Marco. Marco feels like he’d want kids. Idk, I see dad potential in him.

But I do not know who he’d have kids with. If he and Francesca were endgame I would have said them, but even if I can make up kids for non-canon/non-endgame ships, I don’t think I could imagine a Marcesca kid (they’d be decent parents together but I can’t imagine a kid for them atm). And with queer ships, the only Marco ship I can think of is Marciego, but I don’t know if they’d even have kids. They seem more like they’d get a dog. Although, if Marciego had a kid then Fran would be the surrogate 100%… anyway

I thought, would Marco be a single parent? Cause with Camila I am sure she’d want kids and the only way she’d have kids is with herself. Single mom thriving. But with Marco… sure, maybe he’d be a single parent, but would he adopt? Would he make someone pregnant and then get the baby dropped off on his porch? Have a kid with someone and then divorce them?

Maybe Marco opens a foster care home and takes care of foster kids <3

But I don’t know. Maybe he never has kids but he is everyone elses’ kids cool uncle that lived in London and sometimes comes with nice gifts to everyone.

I love that even though he had so many problems with Francesca in S3, he was still able to help resolve the conflict between Maxi and Naty

And yeah, I think I stand by my previous belief that he has depression in season 3 seeing as: - He has trouble communicating what's going on with him and how he feels - He has a sudden disinterest in things that previously made him happy, including his relationship - He seems tired all the time and so low energy, especially compared to S2. He just seems so done with everything

Maybe it's just me being aro but the few episodes before Marco leaves for London make me really happy just because apparently it doesn't really matter to me whether Francesca and Marco are romantically involved or not, I just want to see them happy together. I'm so glad that they got to have a healthy, happy friendship on screen together even if it was brief.

While I think Marco is a bit dumb for not putting more distance between him and Ana (his ex) when he and Fran were dating, that drama was hard to watch. He genuinely never had any desire to cheat on Fran, was kissed without his consent, and that nonconsensual kiss permanently strained their relationship

Also, I need to get to S3 during my rewatch later, but the way Marco acts there was very reminiscent of depression. And he pretty much does leave because he's done with the corporate-type performances that YouMix requires to move onto performing solely artistically
