The Royal Alberta Museum is repatriating an artifact sacred to Indigenous people in Alberta and Saskatchewan more than 150 years after it was taken by a missionary.
Premier Jason Kenney on Friday signed an agreement with Leonard Bastien, elder and chair of the Manitou Asinîy-Iniskim-Tsa Xani Center, to move the Manitou Asinîy or Manitou Stone from the Royal Alberta Museum to a new prayer centre close to the stone's original location near Hardisty, Alta., about 200 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
The agreement — announced on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — launches a process that has been under discussion for years.
Bastien said the agreement to return the stone to its home is significant and cause for celebration.
"It'll give us direction and a new pathway to moving forward," he said.
The Manitou Stone, a 145-kilogram meteorite, originally landed on a hill overlooking the Iron River near Hardisty. Indigenous people believed the stone protected the buffalo herds that provided them with sustenance.

the Background Default Canon thing always gets me when authors bring the Justice League into Bat fanfics. it's one thing to fudge the timelines because there was some big event happening that took everyone out of commission for a little while, or to play loose with what characterization would have been current for side characters, but so often none of the members they include were even on the League in the years surrounding the events they're writing about. just set your stuff in the DCAU at that point.
Ah yes, I am familiar with that irritation, particularly the "why are Barry, Ollie and Hal alive and members of the Justice League right now" form of it. Barry's the worst offender. Is this story set at any point between COIE and Flashpoint? Barry shouldn't be on the League.
But yes, there's so often a blindness to the fact that the 'classic' JLA lineup was basically absent between COIE and 1997, and had plenty of roster changes over the years from 1997 to 2011. It doesn't have to be perfect, but you could at least take a peek at who were core members around the time.
Because sometimes that sort of story is like "and then the Justice League showed up to help" and you're blinking going... which version? Did Bruce really call Maxima, Ray Terrill, Ted Kord and Captain Atom to help out? Because I can guarantee Bruce didn't want that list to turn up to help out.

In both of your opinions, out of the remaining demon/monster/etc. sprites (out of SMT's entire history) that don't have corresponding 3D models attached to them, which one(s) would be the most complicated to animate in 3D?
It's a real layup, but the SMTIV guest designs. There's a level of detail that was afforded to designs like Merkabah that would have been less permissible if the intention were to produce 3D models from them. It's telling that when they finally did model one of these (Kouga Saburo), they opted for a fairly clean design with a human skeleton. Something like Sanat Kumara would be a comparatively enormous strain on Atlus' modest production capabilities:
Eirikr suggested Jezebel or Manitou. These sort of final boss or set piece designs were about as complex as Kaneko ever got, and once again the challenge would be a question of polygonal detail:
the fucking jezebel png is so big that I always have to resize it before uploading it to tumblr lol
