I feel like I’m finally getting control of my emotions. I’m working through past traumas that have held too much power over me. I am owning my power and living in a way that I can feel happy/content in quiet moments. I’m releasing the need to be in control of everything, and keeping my mind right. Letting go and allowing has kept me in a really good spot. I will continue to manifest the best days of my life.

It’s hard to get the posts up when I’m struggling because I hate putting it to words, but I think it’s necessary. Necessary for the tracking and seeing the history and necessary to see how silly it seems and to correct that path of thought.

Cats or dogs: probably dogs just because of my baby maggie

Dream job: I’ve wanted to be a lawyer since I was little but the area of practice I want to do changes constantly. I’ve considered working in reproductive justice law quite a bit recently but something I always go back to is animal welfare law (stereotypical vegan). I interned with a prosecutor who handled most of the animal welfare cases in my state and she remains one of my biggest role models. I got to visit a shelter with her and see several of the dogs she rescued from abusive homes/mills and it was utterly life changing. She also lives on a piece of land with easily like 7 dogs, multiple cats, goats, pigs, and llamas, all of which she rescued, which is the dream. So that’s something I always come back to.

When I made my blog: i want to say two years ago (i have an older one from 2012 whew)

Reason for my URL: this was previously a thinspo blog with the URL manifest skinny back when i was deep in my eating disorder. a few months ago i decided to turn it into a recovery blog in an attempt to give my brain (and hopefully my follower’s brains!!) a break from the constant onslaught of pro ana content on my dashboard that my head was already blaring 24/7. the intent behind the URL manifestlife is that i really want to manifest the messy, happy life that i and every person who suffers from an eating disorder is worthy of, instead of remaining stuck in the monotonous and dark upside down world of the disorder.
