After a very busy weekend, I'm trying to get caught up on all the mentions I missed. I hope I got everyone now 🥲 I was tagged by @spotsandsocks @monsterrae1 @mysteriouslyyounggalaxy @honestlydarkprincess @buddiearemydads @the-likesofus @rogerzsteven @911onabc @elvensorceress in various weekend WIP games, so I'm going to use this as an opportunity to share part of my pining!Eddie WIP

Eddie runs his fingers through his hair. It’s getting a little longer than he would like, so he writes himself a reminder on his phone to make an appointment with his barber. Well, Chris could probably use a trim, too, so he adds his name as well.

“And me,” comes a voice near his shoulder, causing Eddie to startle and fumble his phone, the brick skittering across the floor and landing face up next to Ravi’s boot.

Eddie sighs, trying to slow his heart rate as he drops his face into his hands. There are snickers from most of the other nearby firefighters, and Eddie can’t even blame them. He looks over his shoulder at the owner of the offending voice, and finds Buck with a sheepish smile on his face.

“Sorry, Eddie,” Buck says quietly. He retrieves Eddie’s phone and hands it to him before plopping into the spot next to him on the loveseat. Unfortunately - or fortunately, Eddie isn’t quite sure - he’s the third person on the two-seater couch, and he nearly ends up in Eddie’s lap, adjusting at the last second to only land partially on Eddie’s thigh.

This is fine, Eddie tells himself. We sit this close all the time, it’s no big deal.

Buck shifts slightly, and Eddie has to bite back a whimper.

“Here,” Buck says, throwing his arm around Eddie’s shoulders. His leg slides down enough that it dangles off of Eddie’s thigh and down between his knees. “Better?”

Eddie keeps his voice as neutral as possible when he says, “Yeah, that’s more comfortable.”

In reality, he’s trying to think of literally anything other than Buck’s proximity.

I'm calling this Manic Monday because I wanted to make a new header, and I'm not going to tag anyone since this isn't a real WIP game, but if you want, please feel free to use this as an excuse to share whatever you're working on 💚
