chadley had always been a good lad - not another of the many thorns in heidegger's side but instead a rose. one whose company he can tolerate - one whom he respects. he'd not reguile him with such tales of woe; the tragic mishaps of hojo's malevelent attempt at playing god.

instead, he half-smiles. offers the boy a shift of honey-coloured eyes and the slightest cock of a brow. breathes a quiet sigh between his lips before he picks up words he'd debated not speaking.

"i - yes" would one hear the sigh that teeters on the edge of his voice? an edge of sorrow that strains words. "one would be proud to call him their son." is he? is he proud to know the part he played? proud to have never been there for the man?

heidegger's silence speaks a volume his shouts could never - if things had been different - perhaps he'd have tried a little harder ( or perhaps - perhaps he wouldn't have ).

"...thank you, chadley. now-" ultimately, the general commits to his usual ploy. stop the thinking; think too hard and a man could get lost in regrets and shame. for heidegger, it's an easy enough thing to shut off. a thing rejected with his back straightened and chin raised "don't you have work to do?"

MATT + RANDOM DETAILS

tw: drug mentions, mental illness, death

matt has been rather buisness savy since he was young. this was mainy due to the unrealiabity of his living situation at home. he was constantly moving around and at times, when his mother dissapeared, had to figure out ways in order to bring income into his household for both himself and his older sister. 

similairly, matt and vicki have been exposed to drugs and alcohol educed enivorments as a very early age too. often seeing addicts on their couch or room or other such living situations, which again, were constantly shifting and changing around. matt’s innocent young boy next door look was often used as a means to shift drugs from one place to another which a young matt was forced to do saying it paid for things like ‘a roof over your head’ or new shoes for school etc. 

due to cambion nature, matt was born dead for just over a minute to doctors confusion before he started to breath on his own. this is because cambions are the bridges between dimensions, more common, that realms of life and death. and thus, being born dead, matt’s ability to be connected to realms such as the afterlifes, hell and purgatory were awakened and leaves him with medium like powers he could access such as communicating with ghosts and other spirits. 

this actually differs to the way vicki was born. like matt, vicki was also born as a cambion. it is as such, that even before vicki had been born, she had actually died in the womb thus when she was born, she was more subject to malevelant forces and spirits in a way that matt never was. it is suspect that she used drugs at an early age as a coping mechanism for seeing visions and ghosts, or for hearing ghosts, that would otherwise perhaps present as signs of schizphrenia. 

kelly, matt and vicki’s mother, had believed she’d been notified by the devil himself that she would be the mother of the anti-christ, for he would bring destruction of the entire town of mystic falls, and eventually, the world as a means of starting the world over by destroying god’s most precious gift, humanity. she had to become a demon in order to do so, thus, sacrficing her soul where she burned in hell and because a succubus. she had to corrupt a god-fearing man in order to give birth to the anti-christ, in which she chose her on again off again boyfriend of peter maxwell, who’s family have deep routes as the builders and protectors of mystic falls, even often associated with angels, being gifted the use of enochian sigls as a means of protection together with the young family. to kelly’s surprise, her son was not born first and the process of giving birth to a cambion, should have killed her so the fact terrified her that she would have to go through that again, as vicki was the anti-christ who was prophencied, but her younger brother, matthew. vicki was named as such, due to the fact both her and kelly, had been spared in the brutul child birth of creating a cambion in the first place. thus being victorious...

unlike vicki, matt’s powers had manfisted very late due to a lack of signs and as such, this scared kelly at the fact she could not survive another child birth of a third cambion and didn’t want to dissapiont the devil. the first time matt’s powers present themselves was when he dissapoint from middle school for a week. it was believing he was kidnapped sometime outside of school and the entire town had search parties looking for him, mainly due to the fact matt was best friends with mayor lockwood’s son tyler, and the town famous doctor gilbert’s daughter, elena. he was found unharmed by the falls, cold and shaken up, but when he was asked where he’d been, he’d just said he was in mystic falls, except it looked different and he felt strange like he wasn’t home. he travelled to a realm of hell that paralled mystic falls itself, stranded there alone without knowing how to get back.

Rewatching All Stars! Well, yeah, pacing is really weird and some behave out of character, yet other characters had more development in my opinion. Like Scott. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I really feel that this season showcases Zoey more and we get to see things she’s into, like reading Tarot. Tbh she seemed like a generic girl to me, but now I kind of get an e-girl vibe from her (in a good way).

Anyway I still absolutely love Mal even though now many moments kind of feel cringy.  Can’t believe that last time I drew him was about 8 years ago?

New hairdo… don’t worry my white locks are still there, its a trademark at this point. I wont go that far off brand. But, that’s not the point of this post you can tell. Hopefully.
