Constance Wu returned to Twitter today after a three-year break from social media, announcing her new book “Making a Scene” and revealing she survived an attempted suicide following backlash over her comments about the renewed final season of “Fresh Off the Boat” in 2019.

“3 years ago when I made careless tweets about the renewal of my TV show, it ignited outrage and internet shaming that got pretty severe," Wu wrote in her Twitter post. "I felt awful about what I’d said, and when a few DMs from a fellow Asian actress told me I’d become a blight on the Asian American community, I started feeling like I didn’t even deserve to live anymore. That I was a disgrace to AsAms, and they’d be better off without me.”

She shared that a friend found her and rushed her to the ER.

4/100 - Day 3

Today I've managed to rewrite around 5 pages and 2k words for my thesis and fix some of the jumbled sentences I had. Because clearly, I'm not sure what language I'm using anymore. It's a mix-and-match between two languages in my head and we'll roll with rewriting.

#tranquilstudy: What type of books are you interested in? Medieval literature has always been an essential genre because of my studies but in the last couple of years, I've been discovering contemporary literary fiction, primarily if it features a character study, such as one with an existential crisis or an outcast from their society. I've started reading non-fiction genre-bending novels that kind of resemble fiction storytelling. I know it's just a memoir but I've started to notice a lot of sub-genres intertwined with each other. I'm not even sure how many sub-genres are out there.

what would your character make a scene in public about?

((Ooh that’s a tough one. Scott’s not really one to make a scene like that, so I would have to say it’s over something that really hits close to home and stings.

((I can see him making a scene in defense for his loved ones. Somebody talking shit about someone he cares about and is not holding back their punches, and he’ll cause a ruckus trying to defend them. I can see that. But it’d have to be like the other person is throwing low blows, you know? It’d have to be something big.

((I could also see him inadvertently causing a scene due to a panic attack or being overstimulated or something like that. My version of Scott has ADHD which includes some sensory issues, and he has some anxiety issues. So I can see him really throwing a fuss if all of that is acting up against him. In fact, I’ve written him that way a time or two elsewhere.))

I found a clip that seems to be about the making of the movie Tadeo Jones 2. There are two parts to the video because the video is over 20 minutes long. If you put the two parts together, it's over 40 minutes... in the video, it appears to take the kids on a tour of Lightbox Animation Studios, where they take them through the process of making a movie.
