Photography is a huge passion of mine. I started my photography journey around 6-7 years ago. It’s been an amazing addition to my Makeup work. I just love photographing all different topics. I do a lot of shoots to also help my students build their makeup portfolios. For this particular shoot, I was thrilled to be asked to do the imagery for @panpanbridal new bridal dress collection. This was held at the fantastic @prestonfieldhouseedinburgh As I was doing the photography this meant the makeup was free to go to one of my students: this is a huge perk to training with me in makeup. I pass my graduates so much work which really helps you start your business on step 10 instead of step 1. And it’s not just doing the makeup, but also gaining that all important on set experience working with a team. Which is invaluable. HOW I CAN HELP YOU AS A MAKEUP ARTIST? Below is a summary of what I do in my makeup teaching business. I know some of you already know I teach makeup, but maybe you are not quite sure of what this actually entails. WHAT DO I TEACH? WHAT IS MY EXPERTISE? I am a Makeup Artist and Makeup Educator. As well as teaching everyday makeup to non pros. I also help aspiring and beginner artists, as well as existing artists become successful makeup artists. I help them reach a higher skill set within beauty, editorial, bridal as well as the fundamental basics of makeup. I also help my students reach a sky high level of confidence with their makeup artistry and help guide them to build a successful business. Sometimes we just need that helping hand and extra guidance, so you too can get to where you need to be as well as learn from someone who is working full time as a makeup artist and has been there and done it. Let’s break down the above Within the above I teach my students Makeup applications, looks and techniques Building a makeup business Importance of websites Importance of portfolio building Working with brides Working in beauty and editorial Which products are right for your kit and client base Dealing with clients and any client situations you need help with PLUS – Students get the chance to come on jobs with me to help me with larger wedding parties as well as photo shoots, and any other jobs I gain in which I feel my clients would benefit from the experience. For example – Today I booked my client/student to come with me to a huge location wedding this year. We are staying in a hotel the night before so we can be with the bridal party nice and early. I believe being out on the jobs as a makeup artist assistant is an invaluable experience. Getting that on the job experience is such a confidence builder. Please do message me with any questions. 💜💜Using the brand new @maccosmeticsuk @disneyplusuk @disney @disneycruella range I had so much fun playing around with this eye shadow palette. And did you know it’s magnetic genre for suit can take parts of the palette off and switch them around: very handy. No eyeliner was used here just eye shadows. It’s really important as a makeup artist to experiment and have fun with different products and colours. This is how you learn so much more. Look 4 Texture Series - Inspired by Lava. Swipe to see close up of the eye. This look was built upon from look 4 which was posted earlier this week, look 4 was Rock inspired. It was a great base to build this next look on top of. I coloured the fullers earth that was already on the skin wit @kryolanofficial greasepaints, and colour sprays along with HD Liners. I also made some gel fix pieces to illustrate the lava. Nails were made by me, which took me sooooo long to do. Around 10 hours.
