Tumblr media
You were about to turn in for the night, the intense pain in your lower back, the pain that was keeping you up, slowly dissipated as the clock on your wall ticked. A deep breath of relief ricocheted through the quiet atmosphere and it was almost silent. You let your thoughts escape you, the once rowdy noise in your head being limited to a quiet static.
This wasn’t enough.
You take another deep breath, zeroing in on the silence as you slip a hand into the waistband of your thin, pink panties. The fabric brushes against your wettened hole while you gently rub semi-circles on your clit and you wince at the feeling. Your head falls back into your cool, satin pillows when you insert a finger, the pace and sensitivity driving you closer to your high.
Until your phone rings.
The pink vintage receiver you have hooked up on your bedside table vibrates with every ring and you sob internally, wondering ‘who could be calling at this time of night?’ Without missing a beat of anger, you hastily pick up the phone and shove it to your ear.
“Who is it?” You ask groggily, irritation prominent in your tone.
“I’m sorry for the late call, princess. I just need to know if you have the My Chemical Romance lighter I left on your couch.” Bucky responds, and you feel the tension slip away as he speaks.
“God – can you call later? It’s 2 in the morning and I was busy.” Your voice was meek, trying to tell him what you were doing without saying it.
“I’m about to roll up and I need my lighter. If I didn’t need it, you know I wouldn’t have called right now.”
“Okay well go ask Steve for his! I’m surprised you’re not doing it together. I was busy!”
He can almost hear the way you rolled your eyes into your head, not missing the way your voice got an octave higher. Your hand hovers over your sweet hole, a dull ache replacing the pleasure you once felt.
“He left his with Sharon. Hey – what could you be busy with at-”
“Bucky.” You cut him off sternly with warning in your voice.
“I didn’t peg you as the masturbation type, sweetheart. How’s it going?” Bucky’s question sends electricity to your core. Was he teasing? Or was he genuinely curious?
“It’d be much better if you hung up so I can fucking focus.”
“You don’t mean that.”
“I do. Hang up.”
“You’re more than capable of hanging up, sweetheart.”
“Just do it, Bucky. You’re a pervert.”
He laughs at that, a guttural one. Without thinking, your finger gently slips back into your aching hole, the intrusion causing you to let out a low whimper.
“What was that?” Bucky questions and you snap your legs closed.
“I uh, almost dropped the phone. That’s all.” You breathe out, mentally cursing from being so naive that you could keep quiet.
“I don’t think phones make noises that pretty, baby. You gonna be honest this time?”
His words create a wave of arousal which immediately travels to your soaked cunt. Before you answer, you take a deep breath, blowing out the trapped air from your nose.
“I slipped a finger in. It hurts Buck, I just wanna cum.”
Your admission makes his cock twitch in his sweatpants, his semi becoming a full chub within seconds. He can’t tell if it’s from your voice, the time, or what you just said to him and he doesn’t care to figure it out.
“Touch yourself for me princess.” Bucky coos and your eyes almost roll back into your head.
“I already am.. can you do it with me?” The question floats in the air for a second before anything else is said.
“Y-Yeah I can let me just grab lube – I like it wet.” You can hear him grunt as he reaches for the bottle that you assume is on some kind of night stand.
“Then you’d love me.” You let out a meek laugh. “I’m dripping as I speak.” Unbeknownst to you he bucked his hip into the air at your words, his cock weeping into his boxers with precum.
“Fuck, you’re gonna make me cum before I even start if you keep talking like that.” He sighs, pulling down the restricting layers before flipping open the bottle of lube and pouring some onto the length of him that sat pressed against his abs.
“Sorry – I’m eager. I wanna sleep.” You yawn, fingers gently pressing against your cunt.
“You don’t have to wait on me princess, I’ll catch up.”
“W-What are you wearing right now?” The question startles you, and you're the one who asked it.
“I was wearing gray sweats and the boxers you bought me for friendsgiving but I uh, took them off due to this circumstance.”
You sigh at the thought of him stark naked, cock between his fist and being gently lathered in the smooth liquid.
“Mmm..” Is all you can respond with as you tuck the receiver under your ear and between your shoulder to use your thumb to rub circles on your clit.
“How about you princess?” He takes a beat to lift his cock from its resting place on his stomach and gives it a home in his fist, the pressure making him wince.
“I’m wearing the um, the baby pink set you bought me last week. The bralette and underwear but they're pretty soaked now so..” You reply between pants, trying to find a rhythm between the fingers sliding in and out of you and the tantalizingly slow pace on your sensitive bud.
A guttural groan mixed with sloppy wet noises follows the end of your sentence and it’s obvious how that affected him. He gets lost in the feeling of his hand gliding up and down his shaft to respond.
“I keep going too fast – I wish it was you, here, controlling my pace.” Bucky whispers, and you whine at his words, working in a second finger.
“Yeah? You want mommy there to help you, baby?” You coo, hearing him whimper on the other end.
“Shit, yes, I need you. Wanna feel your pretty cunt grip my cock.” He sighs, fist eagerly pumping up and down.
“Fuck, Jamie–” Your eyes shut with knitted brows accompanying them as you stroke your g-spot with both fingers.
“I love it when you say my name, I gotta hear it when I fuck you.” His moan bellows through the receiver and you hold back your own, scared to wake up your roommate.
“You can take it whenever, James. I’m yours, baby. All – fuck – yours.” Bucky can hear the squelching of your wetness with every thrust of your fingers and it grosses you out but turns him on even more.
“I’m close princess, so close.” He drags out and you don’t miss the echo of his fist hitting the base of his cock with every stroke.
“Me too - I can’t wait to cum all over your thick cock, I need you stretching me out. My fingers aren’t enough.” You cry, your hearing dulling and vision blanking for a few seconds as you imagine him sliding in and out of you and taking the place of your fingers.
It falls silent for a moment until you hear his heavy breathing continue. “Shitshitshit, I’m cumming, fuckohmygod.” His words and your name become a chant, spilling out of his mouth until he’s spent on his stomach, forcing himself through his high.
You spasmed around your fingers, head lulling back into your pile of pillows, voice getting higher and higher. The receiver drops from your shoulder to your chest as your orgasm washes over you, stars of white clouding your mind. Your body goes numb while you come down from your climax, breath escaping you.
“Fuck, I need to see you later. Come by my room after your 2 pm class?” Bucky sighs as beads of sweat drip down his forehead.
“Mhm.” You reply sleepily, pushing the receiver off of you and onto the edge of your bed.
“Goodnight, princess. Dream of me, okay?” Bucky’s voice seemed to have dropped an octave, giving you more fuel to sleep.
All he receives is a faint sigh of approval before you’re fast asleep, legs crossed under the dry part of your comforter. Laundry will a problem for future you but its the last thing on your mind.

A Queen in Body, Mind, and Spirit Part 2
A.N: Guess who did the writing? Me! So sorry this took an unimaginable amount of time but here you are! Hope it's worth the ridiculously long wait (seriously tho if I was a reader of my own writing and had to wait this long I would have murdered myself thu my screen y'all are angels).
Word Count: 1,574
Chapter 2/2.
Read on Ao3 or Wattpad!
*****
At the banquet, it was all you could do to sit there without fidgeting. People kept coming up to the high table to congratulate you, and you were so nervous all you did was smile and nod. It took Legolas coming up and wishing you well before leaning down to whisper something to Aragorn and pinching your arm at the same time to make you remember you knew how to speak.
Aragorn, thankfully, seemed equally nervous. He’d clearly thought more about this hairbrained scheme in the time since proposing it to you, and that thinking hadn’t done his confidence in it any good. But he was the one who’d gotten the two of you into this mess in the first place, so he had to deal with it.
“You know…” you said, leaning over to Aragorn, “I’ve been thinking we should do some sort of performance. Or an announcement. Something to make this seem extra official.”
He looked at you like you’d sprouted a second head.
“You want to do something to draw even more attention to us? Why?”
You shrugged. “It seems like something we should do? But honestly, my ass is starting to hurt from sitting down for so long.”
He snorted, and quickly tried and failed to conceal it with a not-so-elegant cough.
“Fine. Let’s dance,” Aragorn said, before rising and offering you his arm.
“I had something a little more along the lines of sneaking out of the banquet and going to sleep in mind, but I guess dancing works too?”
You grabbed his proffered arm, letting him help you down the steps from the raised dais where you’d eaten onto the dance floor. As you walked to the center, you saw Legolas rise and tap his spoon against his goblet.
“The king and his betrothed would like to dance!” Legolas declared.
With that, every eye in the room that wasn’t already on you—which was admittedly few— looked at you. And you stood in the center of the room, alone except for Aragorn, waiting for the band to start playing.
The band began, strings of notes floating down to your ears as Aragorn placed one hand on your waist and clasped your own in his other. Your other hand rested on his shoulder, careful not to crush his cape. You began to move together, stepping slowly until your feet started to remember the pattern and you picked up speed. You spun around each other, all the other dancers on the floor falling back to simply watch the two of you move in complete harmony.
Aragorn whirled you around the dance floor, spinning you out with arms always there to bring you back to him. Neither of you really knew what specific dance you were doing, you just let the music take you with the other. The music swelled to its apex and you began a circle of spins on your own, your only point of contact your hand clasped with his above your head, his other arm always there to catch you. Revolving only through the light touches of your feet on the ground, the exact right touch happening almost as if by magic to propel you through. And as you finished the twirls he clasped your waist once more, steadying you as you danced with him again.
As you moved together his hand crept from your waist to rest on the small of your back, drawing you in closer to him. Your own hand traveled up to rest on the back of his neck, bringing his head down until your foreheads pressed together. You looked into each other's eyes as you slowed your movements, breathing in unison as you pulled apart to silence from those watching.
Until you saw, out of the corner of your eye, Faramir’s hands raised to clap and then the noise of applause bombarded your senses. You heard a wolf-whistle and knew without looking that it was Legolas.
You felt a hand on your waist again, and Aragorn guided you back up the steps. People were starting to move back onto the floor as the first strands of a new piece began to trickle through the air, but you didn’t notice. Your eyes were locked with his as you reached your seats, your body knowing that you were supposed to sit but your heart keeping you in place, one hand resting on his shoulder, his still on your waist, poised almost like the beginning of another dance.
And then the moment ended—his eyes broke from yours and looked over your shoulder as Legolas bounded up the steps behind you.
“Aragorn, we cannot have you taking all her time the whole night! The kingdom needs to see their soon to be queen mingle!”
Aragorn seemed surprised for a moment, before dropping his hands and nodding.
You turned, and took Legolas’s offered arm, gliding down to the floor with him, and spent the rest of the night making small talk with various nobles, none of whose names you would remember the next day. Your mind just kept flitting back to the way Aragorn had looked at you, like you were the only person in the world. It had confused you, because that was the way you felt that you looked at him. But he was not in love with you, so it didn’t make sense.
Much later that evening, after having excused yourselves from the banquet, you found yourself walking down the torchlit halls, Aragorn alongside you. You reached the door to your rooms and pressed your hand on the handle, ready to open it and say goodnight, but then Aragorn took your other hand and spun you around to face him.
You stood there for a moment, breath unconsciously held as he simply looked at you.
And then he moved, and held you by your waist and spun you around until you felt the cool wood of the door against your back. He hesitated for a moment, looking at you before slowly kissing you. And then he deepened it, pressing your body against the door as your hands tangled in his hair and you melted into his touch, kissing him in return as you marveled at his actions. You didn’t know how long you spent there with him, kissing each other for the first time, not quite realizing what this meant but knowing it was bringing you delight to be with him.
Later, you stood on the balcony outside your room together, gazing down at the city before he turned to you. Your eyes didn’t move from his as you mirrored him, gazing at the picture he painted. He practically glowed in the moonlight, dark clothes not drowned out by the moonlight but instead set apart from the rest of the world. The silver thread looked like liquified moonlight, and in that moment, even without the crown that had doubtless fallen off somewhere inside, he looked every inch a king.
But he didn’t seem to care. He was simply drinking in the sight of you. You were sure that your cheeks were flushed, eyes bright and hair mussed but he couldn’t seem to tear his eyes away. And he was right not to do so—however much the moonlight made him glow, it was nothing compared to the vision before him. It practically set you aflame, bright colors burning in the night sky as the white light caught the shimmering threads at just the right angle
And then his eyes left you as he moved, suddenly.
“My queen,”Aragorn said, bowing his head.
You stood there, shocked for a moment.
“Aragorn—”
He looked up, meeting your eyes once more. “I was ignoring what I felt for you in order to make both our lives easier in some way. But I cannot ignore it—I suspect it was this that made me suggest this inane plan in the first place.”
He laughed then, a small, wry chuckle.
“But I do hope that in doing so we may have found ourselves right in the place that I, at least, was trying to deny in the first place.”
You tilted your head, deep down knowing where he was leading but your heart pounding in your chest was too nervous to follow.
“Where might that be?”
“Love,” he said. “For me, at least, I have been in love with you for a great deal of time. I am not so presumptuous as to assume that you return my affections, however I must tell you that I dearly wish for us to be betrothed in truth. I want to spend every next step, every coming spin, with you.”
As he spoke your eyes widened, hardly daring to hope but knowing that these words were real. You could tell by the depth of emotion held behind his eyes now, the softness but sureness with which he spoke. And you realized then that you had somehow always known—this was who you were meant to spend all the joyful moments, all the sad moments, and every moment with.
He took your hand as you opened your mouth, searching your eyes as if bracing himself for your answer.
You laughed, nearing giddiness in this moment, standing on a balcony that overlooked all of Minas Tirith, flaming in the moonlight as the man you loved looked at you as if you were the only thing in the world.
“Well, then. I believe we should make this betrothal official.”

Some things shatter, some things bloom
Jan 16
And things as they always do, fell apart and scattered all around me....It's been a few days into the new year, and my world has come apart more times than I can count, shattered beyond recognition but still, life has a way of fusing them back together again. Even if it doesn't fit the same way as before, doesn't matter if the cracks are big in some places and small in others, at least it's in one piece again.
And that's all that matters in the end, how things come together again, come to repair themselves and end up better than they were before. Sometimes you have to go through the fire to get to the other side of purity. Or to cleanse yourself again. Anything needing to be cleansed or purified has to go through the process of painful purification to become anew again. Same way with humans. We go through trails and tribulations, periods of deep darkness and depression, trials through fire, a terrifying and painful process to get to the other side of pain.
Sometimes if you let it and let yourself deepen your understanding of the universe around you, then you'll come to understand that pain or difficulties in its own way can be beautiful too. It's all in the perspective and how you look at it. If you view the glass as half empty then all you'll be able to focus on is the emptiness that resides in that glass and all that is wrong with it.
But if you look at the glass as half-full then your perspective shifts and the focus is on how the glass is half-full instead of empty, a sign that there's so many opportunities and the potential of good things waiting to start. The onus is you to realize that potential and turn it into some more and beautiful. Life is full of hidden blessings, the only thing is that more often than not it comes disguised as learning curves.

What place do you write from? For when you're creating a poem for the very first time?
Well, mostly I'd be listening to music and then suddenly a word or a sentence in the song will suddenly strike and resonate with me and all of a sudden that turns into the first two lines of my new poem or poetry and before I know it, I have a whole thing written. The thing is, it is mostly based on how I feel in that moment ,then the words come or if i had gone through something painful recently. It all depends on my emotional state at the time and I'll be writing and drawing from that place and that is how most of my poems are usually born.

The you hold your body tense tense tense... why do you always feel the need to be guarded and put on your best defence?
Where did you learn to hold your breath like that, to see yourself as some kind of defect? It's probably ineffective, gilded the way you keep trying to take up way too little space. Why can't you see or damn near realize that I'm giving you a sacred space to breathe and finally feel safe.
Safe as in a place to let down your guard, I'm trying to help you see that you don't need to always hold yourself in that kind of high regard. I am just trying to show you that it is okay to have regrets. I mean no one is perfect, so why did you learn or rather who told you to hide your self in plain effect. I see through your defense, do you think it makes sense, to see yourself as this nothing that is less, less, less...
Hold still, don't let out a breathe, don't let it get condensed, remember your supposed to keep up with the pretense? This pre-tense when did you learn to hold your tongue, to act as if you're merely a past tense, a line with no end, a sentence with no punctuation. Quiet, so quiet... I'm sure inside that mind of yours, you're daring to start a small riot.
-Where does your mind go when you get inside your head?

//Pretty thoughts//
Sometimes it feels like I am not really present. Not physically but more mentally, my body might be somewhere but then I find myself disassociating, my mind mentally not present. Like my awareness is hiding somewhere away from me, fast asleep. I get these moments, right? Where I feel the vivid intensity of every waking moment, where I have this clarity and suddenly everything makes sense and the world has come alive around me and it is like everything seems like it is full of color and vivid awareness.
Then most days I find myself barely skating by. Just trying to make it through another day, barely feeling enough of anything. Days where I have trouble with my feelings, days where I find it extremely hard to even show a speck of emotion!
Days where it feels like I'm losing time. Times where my mind feels disjointed from the rest of my body, where my thoughts feels fuzzy like they're floating on a cloud somewhere, going by so fast it's hard for me to catch hold of them. Days where it feels like I'm watching the world somewhere between half-asleep and barely awake state.
These contradicting opposites live inside me and somedays it is difficult to distinguish between the two...
Have you ever felt like that? It's crazy honestly, I find myself questioning my insanity most days, like am I really truly alive or am I just existing in a story that someone else wrote about me.

I'll Love You Forever {Thranduil x Reader}
A.N: Thank you so much for the request! I haven’t written anything in almost a week and a half, which is a long time for me, so I’m glad I was able to to get back into it with this request! I also have a really bad fear of spiders so this was good to write. I really hope all you guys like it!
Requested by anon on Tumblr: Hey, Could I requested a Thranduil x reader where the reader (she btw) is extremely afraid of spiders like even the very little ones scare her to death but Thrandy doesn't know that cause she was always ashamed to admit that fear and he only finds out her fear when she meets those big forest spiders and basically freaks out completely (then he learns she has a fear and comforts her and well, basically anything cute you can think of :) I have an awful fear of spiders lol and I always thought what would Thranduil say if he saw me screaming even to a little corner spider 😂 Thank you and I love ur page gurl keep it going :)
Word Count: 879
Pairing: Thranduil x Reader
Summary: Thranduil, your betrothed, doesn’t know about your extreme fear of spiders.
Warnings: Spiders, Angst, Fluff
**** I’ll Love you Forever
Ok, Y/N. You can do this. It’s just a spider. Deep breaths.
You held one of your hunting boots, inching closer and closer to the spider lounging on your desk.
It’s just a spider, it’s really small-
“AGGGHHHHHHHH!”
You screamed, jumping back as the spider jumped off your desk onto the floor.
You staggered backwards, trying to see where it was on your floor, until the backs of your knees hit your bed. You turned and scrambled up, leaning over to the wall where your bow and quiver hung and nocking an arrow, turning every which way to see where the spider was.
You waited there, poised, too scared to move, for what seemed like forever. Finally, you released the tension in the bow and slung it over your shoulder. You stepped down from the bed on tip-toes, not wanting to present any more of yourself as a target to the spider than possible.
Not seeing it, you sighed in relief. And then, of course, there it was, scuttling out from underneath your wardrobe like true scum of the earth. You shrieked and ran out the door, slamming it behind you and leaning against it with a breath of relief.
Of course, the King of the Woodland Realm, and your betrothed, chose that exact moment to walk by your rooms.
“Ah, Y/N. Just the person I was hoping to see,” Thranduil greeted you, leaning in to press a chaste kiss to your lips.
“Thranduil,” You dipped your head in acknowledgment, “What can I do for you?”
He smiled. “I was hoping you would accompany me on a patrol today. It’s not often that I get to go out, and it would please me greatly if you were to join me.”
So that was why he was dressed so informally.
You’d rarely seen him without his sweeping royal garb on, but the more informal clothing of the guard that he was wearing suited him very well. You also hadn’t had time alone with him in weeks, trade negotiations getting in the way. And anything was better than going back into your room where that menace of a spider lurked.
“I’d love to join you!”
You hooked your arm through his, starting to walk down the halls together. When his attention was elsewhere for a moment, you turned to the guard next to you.
“Raithedir,” you hissed.
His head turned towards you.
“There’s a spider in my rooms. Take care of it please?”
Raithedir chuckled at you, shaking his head in mock exasperation before nodding and turning back up the corridor.
Later, you sprang along the branches of the tall trees, running through the forest, completely in your element. As an elf from Rivendell, you didn’t have much experience in the realm yet, having only arrived a couple years ago, but it already was your perfect place. Your king kept up, sprinting alongside you, jumping when you jumped and ducking when you ducked. If you hadn’t thought you were meant to be together, this certainly confirmed that you were perfect for each other.
Suddenly, you froze. A horror, no, a monstrosity of a spider was approaching from the other tree. You couldn’t move. You couldn’t even think. It was huge. And a spider. And you couldn’t do anything. You just watched as it crept closer and closer and closer, your eyes widening at every movement it made.
“Y/N!” Thranduil looked worried, springing over to you and scooping your frozen self into his arms.
Thranduil ran back through the trees, glancing down at you every thirty seconds to make sure you were okay and growing more and more nervous as every time he checked you looked as terrified as before. Finally, finding a clearing he knew was far from any spiders, he set you down against a tree.
“Y/N?”
You blinked, tears filling your eyes as his voice brought you back out of the pit of fear you had found yourself in.
“Sp-spiders.”
“Shhhh. They’re gone now. You’re alright.”
Thranduil moved so that your head rested on his shoulder, putting his arm around you and drawing you close to him as the two of you leaned against the tree. His hand stroked your forearm in the way he knew always calmed you down. After a few minutes, after you had buried your head in his chest and sobbed, letting it all out, it faded to hiccupy sighs.
“Are you all right, my love?”
You nodded.
“Why did you never tell me about this before?”
You took a deep breath. “I was embarrassed. It’s not like most spiders are particularly scary, it’s a stupid fear and I didn’t want you to think less of me because of it.”
He tilted your face up to look into his eyes.
“There are no stupid fears. And nothing you could ever do would ever make me think any less of you. Nothing, my darling. I’ll love you forever.”
A smile started to grow on your face, spiders forgotten.
“Forever? That’s a long, long time.”
Thranduil nodded solemnly.
“Forever. Even after forever, I’ll still love you.”
“I love you too.”
You settled your head onto his shoulder.
“But I’ll only love you forever if you keep me away from these giant spiders.”
“Deal.”

Totally and Completely in Love {Legolas x Reader}
A.N: I’m extremely proud of this. I’ve worked on it for two weeks and just really love it. I think it’s actually my favorite thing I’ve ever written, so it would mean so much to me if you guys let me know what you think of it.
Requested by Anon on Tumblr: Hey! Can I request a Legolas x (human)reader where the reader is on the quest with the fellowship and she gets a really bad fever along the way (my idea was she passes out and Legolas carries her and takes care of her - but that's just an idea, you can make it any way you wish!) and while she's in fever shaking and high temperature she accidentally admits her feelings for Legolas not even knowing what she says cause she's so very ill. With lots of fluff along the way - fluff in your fics is just amazing 🥺 OH AND plus Aragorn who's shipping them the whole time like he always does! I was thinking about this for a long time and I just had to request it! Thank you so so so sooo muchh ❤️❤️❤️ Lots of love!
Word Count: 4, 318 ....oops. My bad.
Pairing: Legolas x Reader
Summary: You catch a cold and Legolas takes care of you.
Warnings: Swears, sickness/fever
****
Totally and Completely in Love
You dove under the water, probing with your hands until you hit what you thought was an ankle. Yanking it, you felt the person attached stumble and join you under the water. You came up for air, laughing to see Merry spluttering as he recovered from his sudden dunking.
Leaving Rivendell some days previously, you had been excited for the journey and adventure you were about to embark on. Now, though, you were starting to feel a little worse for wear. After spotting the small waterfall and pool it flowed into, you and the hobbits had begged Aragorn to stop early for the day, desperate to wash up. After a lot of begging, he had finally agreed, and here you were.
Aragorn had wanted to get a more thorough grasp of the terrain if you were to be camping here, and Legolas and Gimli had volunteered to join him. Aragorn had rolled his eyes, knowing that he would spend a lot of time breaking up arguments and friendly competitions between the two, but they left. (You fondly recalled the time when, after a long day of walking, the two had started a competition to find the most firewood. It had ended with them having a tug-of-war with a large log while the rest of the group rolled around laughing at them, which doubled when Aragorn chopped the log in half, causing them each to fall back on their asses.) While they scouted, Sam got a fire going, and Boromir and Gandalf did who knows what, you and the other three hobbits had decided to go wash your clothes. Merry and Pippin had quickly started a fight, however, and upon seeing them in the pool with the mist spraying into the air, creating rainbows, you had stripped down to your underthings and joined them, determined to win, while Frodo looked on and called out advice from a nearby rock. It was freezing, uncomfortably so, but it was worth it to be able to feel even a little bit clean again.
“Nice one, Y/N!” he cried out now, nodding his approval as you dunked Pippin. You ignored the fact that as a human, you had a size advantage over the small hobbits, and proceeded to do a victory lap in the water.
Swimming around, you admired the natural beauty that you had somehow stumbled upon. Small cliffs rose around you, about the height of a small oak tree, sheltering the little lagoon. The waterfall cascaded down the rocks into the pool of shimmering blue water, which filtered out between a small gap in the rocks, forming a river. The green leaves of the trees were reflected in the water, giving it a teal tint, and the sun made the grains in the rocks sparkle. All of this gave the small area a truly ethereal look.
You were suddenly startled from your reverie by two hobbit-sized shapes crashing into you from above. While you had been admiring the scenery, Merry and Pippin had climbed onto the rocks to ambush you. Forcing your head underwater, they giggled as you came back up, gasping. Their amusement quickly turned to fear as you turned to them with a devilish glint in your eyes. You tackled them and smirked as their faces turned to twin looks of outrage. “What was that for?”
“You guys jumped me! I did what I had to do.” You leaned back in the water, very pleased with yourself as you heard a stifled chuckle from the nearby rocks.
“Oh, you think that’s funny, do you, Frodo?” Pippin was advancing on him now, looking comically angry. Merry grabbed him and whispered something in his ear that you couldn’t quite hear. Pippin nodded, his face turning serious.
“We should go back to the campsite, see if there’s any food.” Merry was now climbing onto the shore and tucking his shirt into his wet trousers.
“You just want to steal some of Sam’s stew before everyone else!” Pippin elbowed him. “And what if I do?” Merry set off running towards the campsite, Pippin following him with a curse and a shout of, “Now he’ll eat it all and there’ll be none left for me!”
You made your way onto the shore a bit more sedately. Once out of the water, you began shivering and hastened to get redressed. Frodo had looked away, blushing, when you climbed out of the water, and you teased him. “C’mon Frodo, everything important is covered!”
This was true, you had kept your wrappings over your chest on, as well as your other undergarments. “Still,” the hobbit kept his eyes averted as you tugged your tunic over your head, lacing it as you spoke, “it’s not proper.” You shook your head at him in pretend exasperation. “I’m decent, let us go see if Merry really did eat all the stew.”
Sitting around the fire with your companions, you would have been quite content had you still not been so cold. Sam’s stew had warmed you for a little while, but now you were hunched over in your still-damp clothes, shivering. “Are you all right, Y/N?” Legolas looked down at you from his perch on the log next to you, concern in his eyes. “Yes,” you nodded, teeth chattering. “Just cold.”
“Well, maybe Legolas could warm you up?” Aragorn winked at you.
“No!” you cried, and then leaned over and punched Aragorn’s arm.
“Ow! What was that for?” he exclaimed, but you just sat back, pleased with yourself, yet still shivering.
Legolas looked uncertain for a second, then wrapped his arm around your shoulders, bringing you close to his warmth. You unconsciously pressed closer against him, drawn to the heat emanating from his body. As you did, he stiffened. He then jumped up, leaving you sitting there, confused as he made his way over to his pack. Grabbing something, he came back over and held it out to you.
“You’re freezing because your clothing is soaked!” He informed you and the group of this. “Yes, Legolas, I know. I’m the one wearing the soaked clothes.” You attempted to say this deadpan, but it was ruined by the clicking sound of your teeth chattering.
“Well, I was thinking- I don’t have pants that’ll fit you, but you can wear my tunic.” He blushed. “It might be a little large, but at least it’s dry.”
“Oh, no Legolas, I’m fine, really.” You didn’t want him to notice how you were nervously playing with your hair, something you always did when embarrassed.
“Really, Y/N. Take it.” He shook it at you, and, sighing, you stood and grabbed it out of his hand. “Thank you, Legolas.” You made your way to the edge of the campsite, grabbing a new set of wrappings for your breasts before disappearing into the forest to change.
Behind a tree, you lifted the damp tunic over your head and rewrapped your chest with practiced ease. You then pulled Legolas’ soft tunic on. It was rather large on you, falling a little lower on your legs than yours usually did. It hit your waist at a nice angle, however, accentuating it nicely. The real issue was the neckline. It had no laces and was much deeper than you usually wore, exposing a lot more skin than you were used to. After unsuccessfully trying to close the v-neck in some way, you gave up and just prayed no one would look too closely.
Walking back into the campsite, you draped your wet tunic over your pack, hoping it would dry overnight.
“I feel much warmer now, thank you.” You sat back down on the log next to Legolas. His eyes drifted across your body, taking in the sight of you in his clothes. “It looks good on you.” He blushed, and you tucked a piece of loose hair behind your ear, feeling rather pleased by the compliment.
“Hey, lovebirds!” came a shout from across the fire. Boromir was sitting with Merry and Pippin and was unwrapping something encased in leaves. You quickly scooched apart from Legolas, fidgeting, and craned your neck to see what Boromir had.
“What is that?” Legolas was just as curious, and just as embarrassed.
“While you were all off doing stuff earlier, I went and gathered some berries!” Boromir finished unwrapping them and held them up triumphantly. You could see strawberries and blueberries spilling out onto the leaves, and licked your lips in anticipation. After taking a few, Boromir passed the pouch around the fire, and everyone took a couple. You bit into a strawberry, savoring the sweetness.
“These are delicious, thank you, Boromir.” Aragorn was trying to speak around a mouthful of blueberries, which just caused the blue juice to run down his chin. Soon, you were all giggling at each other devouring the fruit, not caring if any got on your faces. Even Gandalf had a streak of blue running into his long grey beard, a fact that amused Pippin greatly. Finished, you leaned back with a sigh, patting your stomach with satisfaction.
“Thank you, Boromir. Truly, they were a wonderful treat.”
“Happy to, Y/N!” And indeed he did look pleased to see everyone enjoying something he had done for them.
You made your way down to the waterfall, this time accompanied by the whole Fellowship except Gandalf, who had stayed behind to tend the fire. You all splashed water on your faces to clean them of the sticky berry residue. You were careful to just get your face wet, not wanting to dampen Legolas’ tunic, but even with just your face you still got really cold again. Shivering, you turned and walked back to the campsite, admiring the stars shining above the foliage.
Reaching the campsite, you walked over to your bedroll and dragged it closer to the fire. Not so close that people would be worried, but close enough that you could hopefully soak up the meager warmth as the flames dwindled into embers overnight. You climbed in under your blanket and curled up in a ball to preserve as much body heat as possible. Lulled by the crackling of the fire and the soft murmurs of your friends getting ready for the night, you drifted off to sleep, grateful that you weren’t on the watch list that night.
“Y/N. Wake up, it’s time to go.” You were shaken awake the next morning by Legolas, who smiled at you fondly before moving on to help pack up. Stretching, you sat up and immediately recoiled. Your head hurt. And you were cold. And also somehow hot. And you felt a tad bit woozy. But you were fine, you didn’t want to hold up the journey, so you gathered the courage and emerged from your bedding, rolling it up and packing it away as you hissed in discomfort.
Walking across the campsite, your arm was grabbed by Aragorn, who pulled you off to the side. “Are you ok? You look out of sorts.” It was true, you were shaking a little bit with chills, but he didn’t need to know that.
“Oh, I’m completely fine, Aragorn. Don’t worry about me!” You faked a smile in an attempt to prove that you were, as you said, fine. Pulling your arm out of his grasp, you shouldered your pack and set off behind Boromir.
As the day went on, you felt fainter and fainter. One second you would feel like you were a furnace, the next you thought you’d never be warm again. It was taking all your energy to focus on simply putting one foot in front of the other, but you kept going, determined not to be the cause of any delays.
After you had stopped for lunch, Legolas drifted to the back of the group to walk with you. Noticing your shakiness earlier, he had decided to check on you.
“Are you alright, Y/N?” His gaze met yours, and the touching concern in his eyes almost made you stumble, although to be fair anything could have made you stumble, you were so tired at this point.
“Why does everyone keep asking me that? Seriously, Legolas, I’m fi-” Your body finally gave up on you, and you passed out. The elf was not expecting this and tried to catch you as you fell, succeeding only in slowing you down so that you hit the ground gently, cradled in his arms. Feeling your forehead, he sucked in a breath of shock.
“She’s burning up.” He informed the rest of the Fellowship, who were all gathered around the two of you like a bunch of concerned mother hens.
“We cannot stop yet.” Aragorn looked worried.
“I will carry Y/N until we camp for the night.” Boromir volunteered. Had you been conscious, you would have protested being carried at all. You wouldn’t have cared who you were carried by. But someone else did.
“No, Boromir. I’ll carry her.” With this Legolas scooped you into his arms, startling Boromir with his determination. Aragorn just smirked. “Let us continue, then.” And they set off, you in Legolas’ arms, head resting against his chest.
Legolas heard Pippin softly asking Aragorn questions as they moved. “I don’t understand, why did Y/N catch a cold but we did not?”
“Hobbits are hardier folk than us humans. You can withstand much harsher conditions. It is why I did not join you in the water, and I have elvish blood, so it would not have been as bad for me as it is for Y/N.” The elf secretly did not know much about humans and their sicknesses, so he found this explanation rather helpful.
Legolas kept looking down at you, marveling at how, even sick, you looked so peaceful. You wore a faint smile as if you were having a pleasant dream.
“Legolas?” You whispered, squirming in his arms. He jolted at the sound of his name coming out of your mouth.
“Y/N? Are you awake?” He brushed your hair out of your face and saw that your eyes were still closed. He figured it was just you having a dream about the Fellowship, his name just happened to be the one you mentioned. Then you spoke again.
“I love you, Legolas.” He stopped in shock as you shifted in his arms again.
“You love me too? That’s good.” You sighed, wiggling your nose in that cute way Legolas liked, head still resting against his chest.
The elf, meanwhile, was standing there. Dumbstruck, with you fast asleep in his arms, he stood there until an unsuspecting Gimli crashed into him from behind.
“Lad! Yeh don’t just stop in the middle of the path! Keep moving!”
Legolas was still too shocked to come up with a retort, so he silently stepped to the side, letting the dwarf pass. Aragorn was next but paused to get Legolas to keep walking. “Legolas. What is wrong? Do you grow weary of carrying Y/N?”
“No!” The elf turned away from Aragorn, fearing that the man would insist on taking you.
Aragorn backed up a step, hands in the air. “Very well then. If you are not tired, why are you so on edge?”
“Y/N was talking in her sleep.”
“So? What does that have to do with yo- Legolas, why are you blushing?!” The ranger looked very amused by the flushed elf. “What, exactly, did she say?”
“She, um, well- she said she loved me.” Legolas was trying very hard not to meet Aragorn’s eyes.
Meanwhile, Aragorn had a shit-eating grin on his face. “Well, that is wonderful news! Now the two of you can stop the ridiculous flirting and pining.”
“Aragorn- you do not think she could have meant it?” Legolas was now looking at his friend, and Aragorn could see the beginnings of hope in his eyes.
“Of course she meant it! She was having a dream, about you, and told you she loved you. How could it be any clearer?”
“Well, that’s just it. It was a dream. It probably did not mean anything.” As Legolas spoke, Aragorn saw him convince himself that it was not true. “Legolas.” The blond turned his head and looked Aragorn in the eyes.
“I believe that Y/N means what she said in that dream. I have seen it in the way she acts with you. If you do not, then I cannot convince you. But I will say- ask her about it when she wakes up. Just mention the dream.”
With that Aragorn sped up, leaving a conflicted, confused, and still blushing Legolas walking slowly at the back of the group.
“I think you should tell her,” came a voice from down near his elbow. Legolas’ gaze drifted down to focus on Merry, who had somehow appeared next to him while he was lost in thought. “Tell her what?” The elf tried to deny everything, but Merry wasn’t having it.
“Tell her that you love her!” The hobbit looked so earnest that Legolas couldn’t help but listen to him. Merry continued, “I know if I loved someone, I’d want them to know. Not even because we could lose our lives at any moment, just because I think they deserve it. It’s like in the old stories Mr. Bilbo used to tell. She deserves to know you love her, Legolas. Tell her before it’s too late.”
Struck by the serious set of the hobbit’s face, and emotions in his eyes, Legolas nodded. “All right then. I guess I’ll ask her tonight.” He looked nervous, but then his eyes drifted down to look upon your sleeping form, cradled in his arms, and his face softened.
“Don’t let Boromir or Gimli see you looking at her like that, though- they’ll think you’ve gone soft!” And with that, Merry bounded back up to walk with Pippin.
Legolas was again by himself (well, not entirely, you were still there, but that might not count because you were unconscious), left to mull over his thoughts. He had been bluffing with Merry, he was most certainly not going to ask you about your feelings for him that night, but reflecting on the hobbit’s words something struck him. You were all on a perilous quest, it would be better for you to know now. And he could just ask you about your dream, inquire after your sleep. He didn’t have to confess to anything unless you did- which he was sure wasn’t going to happen, who could love him? But it did sound like a decent plan, so he decided to go through with it.
Just as that thought of resolve crossed his brain, you stirred. Opening your eyes, you gazed blearily at the world around you until your gaze came to rest on the face above you.
Blinking, it came into focus. “Legolas? What- why are you carrying me? What happened?”
“You fainted, Y/N. We think you have a fever, you must have caught a cold from swimming yesterday.” He was still walking as he spoke.
“Ok. Well, thank you for carrying me. I can walk now.”
When he didn’t, you asked again. “I’m fine, Legolas. Really, put me down.”
He still refused to do so.
“Put me down, Legolas!”
Finally, he answered. “I will not. I will carry you until we camp tonight.”
Overhearing him, Aragorn called out back to you. “Well, it’s a good thing we just found a place to camp!”
“Frodo, would you mind grabbing me Y/N’s pack from Aragorn and just spreading out her bedroll so she can rest?” Legolas was walking over to a spot he thought you would like as he spoke. Frodo came over with your bedroll, laying it out on a nice, flat area of ground. As pleased as you were, you still had to protest.
“I do not need rest, Legolas. What I need is for you to put me down!”
Sensing that perhaps it was just best to do as you said, the elf gently eased you to your feet. The second you were standing, you started to feel dizzy, and the chills came back. You fell back into Legolas’ waiting arms, too tired to stand.
“Okay, fine, maybe I do need to rest.” You yawned as he lowered you onto your bedroll, tucking the blankets in around you. “But I don’t want to be here, away from everyone. Carry me over to sit around the fire.” You made a regal face as Legolas picked you back up. The fire was crackling in the center of the small clearing, and everyone else was gathered around as Sam served supper.
“So demanding,” he muttered under his breath, jokingly. “Oh!” You were playfully offended.
He set you down, wrapping your blanket around your shoulders before settling next to you. Sam passed you a bowl of stew, and you inhaled the scent of it.
“Rabbit and potato tonight?” You could always guess what was in it.
“How do you guess right every time?” Pippin was amazed.
“I guess I just have a refined, expert sense of smell,” you declared and dug into the delicious stew.
Sighing, you placed your bowl on the ground, empty, and leaned into Legolas’ side. He stiffened, surprised, before wrapping his arm around your shoulders and drawing you closer to him.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better, thank you. Still tired, but I’m not as cold.”
He nodded and looked back at your companions around the fire. Who, in fact, were all staring at the two of you. Again. You scooched away from the elf, realized just how cold it was away from his arms, and promptly moved back closer to him, burying your face in his chest to titters from the group around you.
“Oh, shut up.” You didn’t care, Legolas was warm and you were cold, it was as simple as that. Nothing else. Or at least, that was what you were telling yourself.
Later that night, after you had wobbled back over to your bedroll with the help of Merry and Pippin each propping you up on one side, you lay there, unable to sleep. You didn’t understand why- you were very tired, you just couldn’t sleep. Your tossing and turning must have caught the attention of the person, or rather, elf, on watch, as he came over and sat down next to you.
“Are you okay?” He looked worried.
“Fine. I just can't seem to fall asleep.” You sat up, now at eye level with the blond archer.
“Ah. Well, unfortunately, I do not know how to get you to sleep, but I can keep you company if that is all right.” You nodded, and the two of you sat there, looking up at the stars glowing in the sky, framed like a portrait by the foliage of the trees surrounding the clearing.
After a while, he spoke again. “Y/N, can I ask you something?”
You nodded.
“What were you dreaming about earlier?”
You tucked your hair behind your ear, embarrassed as you recalled the dream from earlier where you and Legolas had fallen in love. Deciding that denial was the best course of action here, you spoke. “I did not dream.”
“Y/N. You were talking in your sleep.”
Uh oh.
“What did I say?”
Now he was blushing. You internally prepared yourself for whatever embarrassing thing he was about to say, ready to deny your feelings.
“You, um… well, you said you loved me.”
You wouldn’t meet his eyes. “I’m so sorry, Legolas. It was just a silly, dream, it meant nothing, I don’t feel that way about you at all…” Babbling, your eyes went back to his face, unprepared for the depth of disappointment in his eyes and the sadness written there.
“You truly do not feel like that?”
After seeing his face, feeling the emotion conveyed in his voice, a small flame of hope lit in your chest. Taking a deep breath, you decided to be brave.
You took his hand, entwining your fingers with his as you took a deep breath. “I lied, Legolas. I love you.”
You saw the shock on his face. “It’s ok if you don’t feel the same, we can never speak of it again. We can go back to normal, this doesn’t have to be a big deal.” Your babbling was cut off by the elf.
“Y/N. I love you. Totally and completely, with every fiber of my being, I love you.”
Shyly, you reached your hand out and brushed his cheek.
“Really?”
“Really.”
“That’s good.”
He laughed. “You said that after I told you in your dream!”
“I did?”
He nodded. “Now, let’s see if you can get some sleep. It’s late.”
He moved so that you were between his legs, head resting on his chest as he leaned up against a rock. You snuggled in close, and he began rubbing circles on your shoulder. He began to softly hum, a tune you did not recognize but liked just the same. Lulled by his soft voice and the motions of his hands, you drifted into a deep, wonderful sleep.
Legolas sat there, you in his arms, marveling at the turn of events. A movement from Aragorn’s bedroll startled him, but he made sure not to wake you up. The ranger sat up, facing him.
“I told you so.” Aragorn winked at him, looking mightily pleased with himself.
“Well, now that you’re awake, you might as well begin your shift of watch!” Legolas looked triumphant and watched as the ranger sighed and rose, moving over to sit on a boulder that overlooked the whole camp.
“Get some sleep, Legolas,” Aragorn advised.
Careful to not wake you, Legolas moved so that he was lying next to you, arm wrapped around your waist and chin resting just above your head. He sighed and felt himself slowly drift off to join you, his beloved, in the land of sleep.

His Heart Was Glass, You Dropped It {Kili x Reader}
A.N: Ok first of all I’M VERY SORRY FOR THIS PLEASE DON’T HATE ME!!!! In all honesty though it was a ton of fun to write, so I do hope you all enjoy it. And, more importantly, it was nice to finally really write something again! Also- anyone catch the reference in the title?
Word Count: 1,171
Summary: Kíli has a surprise for you at the night’s feast.
Pairing: Kíli x Reader
Warnings: Angst
***** His Heart Was Glass, You Dropped It {Kíli x Reader}
Kíli smiled down at the small box in his hand, opening it for the fiftieth time in twenty minutes to check that the ring inside was still there.
“Kee!” An exasperated exclamation came from Fíli, who was lounging on the couch in full ‘Heir of Erebor’ regalia. “Stop checking. The ring is there, and Y/N is gonna love it.”
Kíli fiddled with the box. “Are you sure?”
His brother nodded. “Of course! You’ve been courting for a year, the poor girl is probably about to combust, waiting for you to propose!”
Kíli sighed. “Okay. Okay, yeah. This is gonna go great. It’s all gonna be fine. She’s gonna say yes.”
In a room on the other side of the hallway, you paced frantically back and forth, alone with your thoughts.
You’d been courting Kíli for twelve months, and you were pretty sure you loved him, although it certaintly hadn’t been easy.
The thoughts had begun creeping into your mind several months ago, as each and every difference between you and the son of Durin you were with was pointed out and nitpicked beyond belief by the court.
Your lack of knowledge about the history of Erebor, nevermind that you’d helped reclaim the Lonely Mountain.
Your complete disregard for proper clothing- you were the only female of any species that most of the dwarves had seen wearing pants- they thought it was simply scandalous.
Your ignorance of manners and courtly behaviors- but really, who needed three forks- and to know what each was used to eat- at a meal?!
And the biggest one- you weren’t a dwarf.
And it wasn’t only you who’d received criticism. Kíli had been insulted, scorned for his choice of a human girl. The king, Kíli’s Uncle Thorin, and his heir, Kíli’s brother Fíli, had also come under fire for “allowing” Kíli to court you.
And while you didn’t want to bring any more misery to them by being a part of their family, you were becoming more and more certain that this wasn’t the life for you. You couldn’t live trapped under a mountain, having to jump through millions of hoops and let thousands of people know every time you wanted to go for a walk in the forest, or a visit to Dale.
You would stay, if you didn’t think it would just make things worse. You’d stay for Kíli. But the reaction of the people showed you that maybe this wasn’t the best thing- for anyone. You thought you could love Kíli, though. You could do this, for him.
You looked down at the dress Kíli had picked out for you laid across your bed and sighed.
Later, after eating a whole lot of delicious food, you moaned the loss of feeling in your feet as you danced.
You were having a good time, at least. The food had been good, the music was better, and you were spinning around the dance floor in Kíli’s arms.
Kíli spun you out and around so that you were facing away from him, and suddenly, the music came to a sweeping halt. And you noticed everyone looking at you. Or rather, looking at something just behind you.
You turned around, slowly, to see Kíli down on one knee in front of you. He had a small box opened in one hand, and nestled in the box was a ring.
“Y/N. Will you marry me?” Kíli asked.
You looked down at him in shocked horror. “I- what?”
“I love you, Y/N. I’m asking you to marry me?”
You were frozen in shock. Everyone in the room was looking at you, waiting for you to answer, you could hear faint murmurs breaking out as you took longer and longer to answer, not knowing what to say as the hopeful look on Kíli’s face began to crumble.
And you took a deep breath.
“No.”
Every head in the room snapped to look at you as the echo of that one word reverbated around.
You shook your head, trying to stay calm as tears started to well in your eyes.
“No, Kíli. I cannot- I will not marry you. I am sorry.”
With that, you pivoted on your heel and strode towards the exit.
The guards at the large hall doors stared at you in bemused disbelief as you walked directly at them, but opened the doors on instinct. You swept through them, head held high.
The doors closed behind you, and in the hall you’d left behind you could hear a pin drop. Or, in this case, the ring that Kíli had held in his hand. The metal rang out against the hard stone floor as the prince knelt, gazing, crestfallen, at the doors wher he’d last seen you.
You walked back to your room alone. Pushing open the door, you gazed around the things you’d accumulated in the year and a half you’d lived here.
None of it was really necessary. None of it was really meaningful.
Just like you.
Kíli would be better off without you- he’d find a nice dwarven girl that wouldn’t make half the lords threaten to rebel. He’d be happy.
You had thought you loved him.
You had thought that this life could make you happy.
You had been wrong.
And so you gathered what few possessions you wanted.
One dress.
Some pants, some shirts, a few cloaks and an extra pair of shoes, everything that would help you survive. You packed it all into a small bag.
Then you took off your beautiful dress, laying it neatly out on the bed and donning your hunting clothes.
You sighed, looking around the room, taking in the remnants of your former life.
You turned quickly as you heard the creaking of the door, and saw Fíli’s golden head poke through. He looked startled to see you, but composed himself quickly.
“May I come i- you’re leaving?” He came in and closed the door behind himself.
“I can’t do it, Fíli. I can’t marry him.”
“Why? Why, Y/N? You’re breaking his heart!”
Tears welled in your eyes once more. “I know. I’m breaking my own, too. But this is all wrong, I shouldn’t be here.”
Fíli let out a deep sigh. “Okay. I still don’t know why you’re doing this, but okay.”
He turned to leave, pausing with one foot out the door. “Goodbye, Y/N. We’re really going to miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too, Fíli.”
That night, outside Erebor for the first time in you didn’t even know how long, you sat at a small campfire you’d built.
Alone, truly alone, for the first time in years.
You still didn’t have a reason, but you knew this was right. However hard it was.
You bowed your head, and let the tears flow freely.
Back in Erebor, in a now-lonely room, a dark-haired prince did the same.
Love had slipped beyond his reaches.
And so, miles apart, you both cried.
Cried for time lost.
Cried for lost love.
Cried for each other.
*****
A.N: Welp. I hope that wasn’t too heartbreaking. Blame Taylor Swift for making me write this Champagne Problems inspired fic! But please let me know what you though!

The Beating of Your Hearts, Together {Kíli x Reader}
A.N: Guess who finally wrote something like a ✨productive✨ human?! Wow. That was an emotional rollercoaster that I loved. This became such a therapeutic fic, so much of it is based on my own experiences and that nightmare is one that I get at least once a week. But I liked getting to imagine Kíli bringing me out of it, that helped. And the ending is very much the hopeless romantic in me coming out, I desperately want to have that with someone someday. So I really hope you like this outpouring of both the good and bad parts of my soul. Enjoy.
Requested by @lothloriien on Tumblr: hey I saw you were still taking requests, so could you maybe do a kíli/reader where the reader is being comforted (like after a panic attack or nightmare)? don’t worry about it if you can’t, but if you get around to it that would be awesome. thanks :)
Word Count: 1,270
Pairing: Kíli x Reader
Summary: Kíli hears the sound of sobbing coming from your room, and investigates.
Warnings: Nightmare, Panic Attack, Angst, Hurt/Comfort
**** The Beating of Your Hearts, Together
You were trapped. Darkness wrapped around you, engulfing you in pitch-black, not letting you go. Your breath rattled in your ears, in and out, in and out, in and out, in- and you held it because you could hear something advancing through the darkness, coming closer and ever closer and closer and closer, muttering the words that you heard night after night about how it was all your fault and you were a failure and you heard the scrape of something on stone as it came closer and closer and you strained your eyes but all you could see was that same darkness and suddenly-
You woke up sobbing. Tears streaked your face as you curled up as tight as possible, knees to your chest, convulsing and shaking as you tried to claw your brain out of the pit that the dream had buried it in. But you couldn’t, it was right. So you lay there, sobs wracking your body, brain lying in the self-made hole of shame you so often found yourself in. You cried and cried, tears streaming down your face, still there, still sobbing with nothing to show for it, glistening tracks on your face drying up as you shook, ears covered, eyes shut tight to ignore the existence of all else as you lay there, tense, terrified.
And yet some part of your brain was aware and ashamed of the weakness you were showing even though no one was there to see it.
And you lay there, brain trapped in that vicious circle as your nails dug into your palms as you sobbed.
Sound asleep one moment, wide awake the next, Kíli bolted up from his bed. Unsure of what had caused his quick rise from unconsciousness, he listened. Through the night air, he could hear the sounds of sobbing traveling in the wind. He grabbed an extra tunic, unaware of where exactly he was going, but prepared to go outside nonetheless.
Opening his door, Kíli heard the sounds of crying grow louder, and followed them to another door a little ways down the hall. Your door. He took a deep breath and knocked.
Nothing happened.
So, gently, he pushed it open, revealing you curled into a tight ball on your bed, sobbing.
“Oh, Y/N.”
Hyperaware, you flinched as you heard your name, soft footsteps following it closer to your bed as you sobbed. You felt the weight of the bed shift as someone sat on it, and a hand gently rest on your shoulder.
“Hey, Y/N,” The person whispered, “What do you need?”
You didn’t respond, your brain still stuck in that dark pit of despair, sinking to the deep depths of devastation you were so used to.
You felt the hand on your shoulder move to your back, and start to rub circles, starting from one shoulder blade and making the way around to the other.
It had to be Kíli then. He was the only person who knew that was how to calm you down, the circles reeling you back up out of that pit. And, slowly but surely, they did. Kíli’s quiet voice comforting you and his hand on your back started to break through the dark fog in your brain. Your sobs started to fade, your body started to unclench as he soothed you, murmuring the whole time.
Kíli saw your eyes start to open.
“Hey, Y/N,” he murmured, “Are you okay?”
You sniffled. “I- I’m not sure.”
He nodded, “Okay. What do you need?”
You blinked at him, not believing that he was actually here, but wanting to all the same.
He noticed this and very slowly moved so that he sat on your bed, leaning up against your wall.
“C’mere, Y/N. I’m here.”
Hesitantly, you moved closer to him. He moved to wrap an arm around your waist and paused to see if you were okay with it. Seeing you nod, he pulled you closer to him, letting you rest your head on his chest with his arm around you. The sound of his breath rumbling in his chest calmed you even more until your own breathing was rhythmic and normal again.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
You nodded, hesitantly. You’d never talked about it before with someone, but if you ever did, you thought Kíli would be the best to do it with.
You took a deep breath.
“It- it’s this recurring dream I have.”
He nodded.
“Where I’m trapped, no ropes actually restraining me, I just can’t m-move”
Your voice broke.
His hand started rubbing the circles on your back again, calming you enough to keep talking.
“And it’s dark. Pitch-black dark, where I can’t see anything no matter how hard I try. And something else is there. I don’t know what, but I can always feel that it’s bad. And it approaches me.”
Your voice was shaking as you started to choke up.
“And it comes closer, and I can hear it moving, and it tells me things. Horrible things. That I don’t matte-”
You broke off, unable to keep telling him the horrible contents of your brain, afraid he would leave and abandon you to the darkness once more.
But he stayed.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N. And I know this might not help, but I’m going to tell you anyway. You do matter,” Kíli told you.
“You matter to me, to Fíli, to Thorin, to Balin, to Ori, to everyone in our crazy little family that we’ve made. But it doesn’t matter that we think you matter, it matters that you think you matter. Because you should love yourself, Y/N, you’re kind and sweet and funny and I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
He took a deep breath.
“Because I love you. I know that you hurt and I know that you struggle and I love you because of that. Because of everything that makes up who you are, the good, the bad, even the part of you that masterminds Fíli’s pranks. I love you, Y/N, and you should love you too.”
You were crying again and lifted your face to look into Kíli’s eyes.
He saw the tears brimming there, and his own eyes widened.
“Oh no, Y/N, please don’t cry, don’t cry, I love you.”
The panic on his face was adorable, and you giggled a little.
“You love me?” You weren’t sure if he’d meant it or not.
Kíli started to smile. “Yes. I always have, and I always will, and I’ll always be here for you.”
You took a deep breath, and for the first time in a long time, it didn’t hurt your heart.
“I love you too.”
Kíli’s smile was brighter than the sun.
And with that, your heart lifted a little. You lay there together, Kíli’s hand still tracing circles on your back until you had fallen asleep, only at which point he let himself drift into unconsciousness.
Kíli loved you, and you loved him. And you still had hard days, still woke up sobbing in the middle of the night, because loving and being loved doesn’t fix that. It was a struggle that you worked through every day. And you did a lot of it alone because only you could keep pulling yourself out of that pit. But you always had Kíli, there for you, willing to do whatever he could to help you along that journey. And you helped him in turn, sticking by him whenever it was tough but also when it wasn’t.
Because your hearts beat together. You and Kíli, together.
Forever.

How Gandalf and Pippin Put Aside Their Differences for the Greater Good {Faramir x Reader}
A.N: OK GUYS- i literally tied my hand to my sister’s to figure out some of the logistics of movement for this. She thinks I’m crazy now. But I loved this request! I’m currently catching up on requests and also dealing with some personal issues, and I haven’t been happy with anything I’ve written in a really long time, but I’m really happy with this! It would mean so much to me if you guys liked it too, I put so much work into this and I’m so proud of it!
also- a thousand thank you’s to @gossip-girl-of-middle-earth for giving me an idea for this fic. i appreciate you letting me use it so so much. thank you.
Requested by @raineeace on Tumblr: Your recent request you wrote was beyond cute! You’re an amazing writer, so catch me reading the rest of your LOTR content !! I also wanted to request something as well! Can you do a Faramir x Fem!Reader and Gandalf and/or Pippin try to get them together? I loved the how you wrote Aragorn as cupid, and I wanted to ask if you could make these two matchmakers as well? Lots of fluff please and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! :)
Word Count: 2,334
Pairing: Faramir x Reader
Summary: You and Faramir have been mooning over each other for months, but nothing has come of Pippin’s efforts to get you together. What happens when Pippin enlists the help of a certain wizard?
Warnings: Fluff, Humor
****
How Gandalf and Pippin Put Aside Their Differences for the Greater Good {Faramir x Reader}
Pippin leaned over the banister, watching you and Faramir walk together below. You smiled at something the man said, then nodding your head goodbye and walking away. The hobbit watched as Faramir stood there, watching you go, looking oddly lonely.
Pippin had been watching/trying to get you and Faramir together for a while now. He had first noticed the chemistry and romantic tension between you when everyone was gathered waiting for Frodo to heal, and decided to do something about it. Now, months later, nothing had happened. Pippin thought that at this point neither of you was ever going to confess your very obvious feelings for the other.
At least, not without some extra help.
“Come on, Gandalf, please?”
The wizard shook his head, “I cannot believe you are still going on about this.”
“They need the help,” Pippin told him, “Plus, getting them to admit their feelings to each other would help them, and ease your exasperation with the two of them for walking in circles around each other!”
The wizard shook his head. “I’m not going to help you with this!”
“It’s for the greater good! Can you really stand to see the two of them mooning over each other all the time?”
“That’s true. It’s getting ridiculous,” Gandalf sighed, “Fine. I’ll help. Where do we start?”
Back in your room, you lifted your head from your desk as a loud, hobbitish whoop rand through the air. You chalked it up to Pippin hitting another elf, probably Legolas, with an apple, and returned to your work. You hoped that it wasn’t Legolas that Pippin had hit, because the last time that happened Legolas had promptly eaten the apple, and Pippin had bemoaned the loss of his snack for weeks.
That night, you left your room, closing the door behind you and setting off down the hallway. You’d barely made it fifteen feet when another door opened right in front of you and Faramir came rushing out, crashing into you.
“Y/N!” he exclaimed. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you there, I feel terrible!”
“It’s okay!”
You shuffled your feet, nervous to be so close to the person you’d been in love with for months.
It was also weird how close your rooms were- Aragorn had given everyone from the Fellowship and friends special quarters after his coronation. You could understand why the hobbits’ rooms were so close together, but wondered why Aragorn had placed you and Faramir almost directly across from each other. Probably because the two of you worked together the closest on negotiations with the other kingdoms.
Eventually, Faramir broke the silence with an awkward laugh.
“So, late to dinner?”
You smiled, glad he’d spoken first.
“Yeah. I got so focused on drafting that new trade agreement with the Iron Hills that I didn’t realize how low the sun was.”
He nodded. “I completely understand, I’ve done that far too many times, working on something like that or staying outside the city for far too long.”
Laughing, you looped your arm through his. “We should get to dinner before Aragorn yells at us.”
You entered the hall together, pushing open the doors to see your friends all seated around the high table. Dinners with the group had started when everyone was waiting for Frodo to heal and wake up and had just continued on, everyone reluctant to give up the time spent together.
Letting go of Faramir’s arm, you took your usual seat between him and his brother.
“What prompted you two to arrive together?” Boromir winked at you as he whispered.
“Huh? Oh, we just bumped into each other in the hall.”
“Sure, sure,” he smirked as he spoke.
“Pass the potatoes, please, Boromir.” You were determined to change the subject, and, happily, it seemed to have worked.
What you didn’t notice was Gandalf staring intently at you and Faramir, muttering something under his breath as Pippin watched gleefully.
You yawned, pushing your empty plate away with a groan.
“I’m stuffed. And tired. I think I’ll head to my rooms.”
Everyone said goodbye, and you pushed back your chair and went to stand.
But you couldn’t.
There were handcuffs on, one on your wrist, and the other on Faramir’s. And they hadn’t been there a moment ago.
“Who handcuffed us?” You were bewildered.
“Gandalf…” Faramir glared at the wizard.
Gandalf glanced behind himself, and, seeing no one, turned back around with an innocent expression.
“What could I have done to make this happen?” He gestured to your hands, still handcuffed together.
Faramir said, “I don’t know, but it had to have been you!”
“Ask yourself this, Faramir. What motivation could I have possibly had? I think one you probably just ran astray of something else?”
You sucked in a deep breath.
“Okay, then, how do we make it stop?”
“Only time will tell,” the wizard nodded sagely.
“What are we supposed to do until then?” You exclaimed.
“Just stay together? Do everything together?” Pippin looked all too pleased by this.
“Fine. C’mon Faramir.”
The man rose, and together you marched out of the hall, handcuffs clanking, never moving further than five inches apart.
Once in the hallway, you turned to Faramir, panicked.
“What do we do? We’re stuck five inches, or less, apart from each other for Eru knows how long, we both have important duties.”
“And there’s going to the bathroom, and sleeping, and eating..” he was just as freaked out as you.
You turned to each other.
“What are we going to do?!”
“Y/N, Faramir, chill.”
You tried to turn, but the clanking and tug on your wrist stopped you as you spun the wrong way, twisting yourself with Faramir.
“Ok, no wait,” he backed up, accidentally taking you with him.
“Here, go this way, move your hand left.”
“No, no, my left, my left.”
“Spin this way?”
“You go under, I go over?”
“Aha! Yes, that worked!” You high-fived each other clunkily, and turned, making sure to bring your arms over your heads so that your hands fell back again.
“Oh, Pippin! What were you saying?”
Pippin smiled at Faramir. “I can help.”
“Would you mind telling us how?”
“You just have to accept it!”
“WHAT?” You screamed in unison.
Back in the hall, Aragorn winced at the echo of the yell.
“Are you sure this was a good idea?” He questioned the wizard.
“Of course not,” Gandalf replied, “but it was not mine. It was all Pippin, and if anything goes wrong that’s who we’ll blame.”
Legolas chuckled. “Alright then. We’ll leave it all on Pippin.”
Boromir raised a mug of ale. “TO-”
He was cut off by a resounding shush, and, chastened, began again.
“To Y/N and Faramir”
Everyone echoed the sentiment, quietly, and clinked their mugs.
Back in the hallway, you and Faramir were glaring at Pippin.
“You want us to just live like this?”
“Yes! You’ll be fine, maybe it’ll wear off soon, and maybe you’ll learn something.”
“Ughhhhhh,” you stormed away, dragging Faramir behind you.
Approaching your door, you were suddenly stopped when Faramir halted behind you.
“What?”
He shuffled his feet. “Whose room are we staying in?”
You considered. “Which one is bigger? We’ll need all the maneuvering space we can get.”
You walked together over to your doorway, poking your heads inside before moving back to his.
“Yours.”
“Mine?” He asked.
“Yeah. You have more space and a bigger bed. Let’s just go back to my room so that I can grab a few things if I’ll be staying with you indefinitely.”
“How are we going to do this?”
You stared at Faramir’s bed.
“I have absolutely no idea.”
You hadn’t thought this situation could get any more awkward, but there it was. The crown jewel of awkwardness, coming out to torment you. It had been bad enough attempting to change into your nightclothes, which you’d managed by turning your backs to each other to put them on, and only wearing one sleeve. But this was worse.
You decided to just go for it, and climbed into the bed, sliding under the sheets. Your movement pulled the handcuffs so that Faramir went with you, and you ended up on one side of the bed, him on the other, hands cuffed together in the center.
“This is not very comfortable,” Faramir observed.
That was true. You were lying flat on your back when you always slept on your side, and you were literally handcuffed to another person. Unable to stand the absurdity of it all, you broke out into laughter.
Faramir joined in, and you laughed together until you had tears in your eyes. His smile was so bright in the dimly lit room, and you could listen to his laugh for a thousand years without getting sick of it.
When the laughter subsided, you decided nothing could be more uncomfortable than the position your body was currently stuck in.
“Do you usually sleep on your side?”
Faramir nodded, looking a little confused.
“Ok. I’m going to try something, it’s going to be really awkward, but we might actually be able to sleep.”
“I trust you, Y/N. Whatever you’re going to do will be fine.”
You smiled at him, internally still freaking out that you were sharing a bed with Faramir. But there was no time to panic, your shoulder was killing you.
Taking a deep breath, you flipped so that the handcuffed arm was now underneath you, chain stretching up to where Faramir’s arm hovered.
“Would you be alright with putting your arm over my waist?” You wanted to make sure he was comfortable with all this.
Craning your neck, you saw a faint blush creeping up his face in the dusky light.
“Only if it’s ok with you,” he seemed nervous.
You were too, but you nodded and felt him slowly settle his arm around your waist.
Once it was there, his hand gently hanging near your stomach, you both relaxed, letting out sighs as the tension left your bodies simultaneously.
And then you giggled. Again, because this was just too ridiculous.
He laughed too. “You alright?”
You nodded, the movement of your head bumping into his chest as he sucked in a breath.
“I’m good.”
It took a while for each of you to fall asleep, brains spinning with thoughts of the person next to you. But eventually, you did.
It was the best you had slept in years.
The next day, the two of you began to figure out how to go around with your hands stuck together. You ate by spooning the food into each other’s mouths one at a time, which you were pretty sure Boromir was sketching to memorialize forever.
You blinked your eyes open the next day to sunlight streaming through the windows, and soft breathing behind you. Carefully, you turned around so that your hands now rested between your bodies.
Faramir’s face was glowing with the light of the morning sun, hair spread on the pillow. You’d never seen him so peaceful, and he looked gorgeous like some Vala come across the world to Gondor.
Unable to resist the impulse, you leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.
You quickly moved back, only to notice that the weight on your hand was gone.
You looked down.
The handcuffs were gone.
“Faramir! Faramir!” You shook him awake.
“What, Y/N?” He asked groggily.
His morning voice was perfection itself, and you had to bring yourself back to reality.
“The handcuffs are gone. Look!”
He shot up at this, looking down at his now-free hand.
“Wow! We should probably go let Gandalf know.”
You nodded. “Meet you in the hall in ten minutes?”
He gave you a thumbs up, and the last thing you saw as you closed the door was Faramir marveling at his now-free wrist.
Later, in the room that Gandalf had claimed as his office right next to the large hall where you usually ate, you sat together.
The wizard inquired, “What exactly happened?”
“The handcuffs were gone when I woke up,” Faramir told him.
“That shouldn’t have just happened. They were supposed to disappear when a physical manifestation of your affection for each other happened.”
“You did this?” You were outraged.
“Yes, Y/N, I did.”
Sensing that you were about to interrupt in outrage again, he added on.
“It should have been a physical manifestation of affection that was not circumstantial because of the handcuffs.”
You sighed, knowing what it was.
Faramir turned to you. “Do you know what it could have been?”
You stared straight at the floor.
“I… kissed your cheek when I woke up this morning.”
He blinked at you, shocked. Gandalf discreetly slipped out the door.
“You just looked so handsome in the sunlight with your hair glowing and I couldn’t resist and I’m so sorry and I’ll leave Gondor right now and never come back and what you must think of me no-”
“Y/N.”
You stopped rambling, looking at Faramir. He leaned closer to you, and in the depths of his eyes, you saw nothing but love. He paused for a moment, head tilted as if asking for your permission.
You nodded your head.
Faramir moved closer, tilting your chin up so that his lips met yours, kissing you oh-so-gently. Then somehow you were standing, lips still touching his as he surged closer and kissed you harder, like all the passion and feeling in the world was just pouring out of him and into you.
Finally, you broke apart, smiles on both your faces.
“I think I love you.,” you said, then clapped a hand over your mouth.
Faramir smirked. “It’s okay, Y/N.”
He pressed his forehead to yours. “I love you too.”
You gazed at each other for a few moments, before you grabbed his hand.
“Now, let’s go kill a wizard.”
Opening the doors to the hallway, you saw said wizard suddenly disappear.
You corrected yourself.
“Let’s go kill that wizard once he returns from wherever he’s hidden himself.”
Faramir laughed. “Let’s kill Gandalf later. For now, would you like to go for a walk?”
You smiled at him, looping your arm through his and pressing a kiss to his lips.
“Lead on, my love.”

Gone {Fili x Reader}
A.N: My bad, I really meant to have this up by 4pm my time and it’s a whole lot later now so I’m sorry! I really hope this fic is alright! It’s not my best work, but I like it and I hope you do too!
Requested by @anjhope1 on Tumblr: Lol I take up your angst challenge: can I request a female human(bit thick) reader x fili where he accidentally says something mean to the reader but won't apologize so reader like starts to distance himself away from him and starts hanging out with other people?
Word Count: 1,118
Pairing: Fíli x Reader
Summary: You overhear Fíli denying that he likes you to his brother.
Warnings: Angst, Self-criticism, Insults
**** Gone
The halls of Erebor were full of dwarves, the early morning bustle at its highest. You were headed towards the market, determined to find something that Fíli would like. Browsing through the stalls, you came to one that had weapons on display. They were all extremely finely crafted, but none had the look you wanted, so you placed a custom order to be delivered at the end of the week.
Next, you went to one of the bakery stalls to pick up some goods for Fíli and Kíli, knowing they would appreciate it, before finally purchasing more of Fíli’s tonic from the healers, the one that he couldn’t sleep without but was too embarrassed to buy.
You wound back through the corridors, making your way through the maze that was the Lonely Mountain, heading towards your rooms.
“What about Y/N?”
You stopped, hearing your name from the doorway to your left, the one to the hall where the company usually ate when not at formal events.
“Y/N? What? I don’t like Y/N!” It was Fíli.
You halted to the side of the door, curious. That hurt a bit, to be honest, but you wanted to hear the rest of the conversation.
“You’re blushing!” That was Kíli, you could picture him jostling his brother, teasing him.
“Yes, lad. Don’t try to hide it, you love her!” And there was Bofur.
“I don’t!” exclaimed Fíli.
“Oh, c’mon, Fee. Give us proof.”
“Ummm… she can be selfish sometimes. And spoiled, she grew up with more than we ever had.”
Selfish? Spoiled?
You had sacrificed everything to join him on the quest, leaving your family and the only home you’d ever known. And while yes, you’d had a comfortable childhood, you also knew how ridiculously lucky you were. And despite knowing how much you liked the comforts of your home, you’d still given them up in a heartbeat for Fíli. You’d given up a whole life for Fíli, and he repaid it by calling you selfish?
You leaned against the wall for a moment, taking a deep breath. You were really, really hurt. It was bad enough sometimes to think those things about yourself, but to hear the person you loved say them about you? You sighed. Maybe Fíli wasn’t the right person for you after all.
But you would be damned if you cried about it in public where anyone could see, so you hustled further along the corridor to your room. Almost there, you skidded to a halt as you rounded a corner and none other than Thranduil, the Elven-King, stood before you.
You quickly dropped into a curtsy. “Your majesty.”
You had forgotten the elves were visiting today before heading to Dale tomorrow.
“Y/N. It is nice to see you again.”
“You as well, your majesty.”
You were trying to end the interaction as quickly as possible, knowing you couldn’t hold the tears in much longer, but Thranduil had other ideas.
“How many times have I told you, Y/N, to please call me Thranduil?”
“Probably many, my l-Thranduil.”
He nodded his head in acknowledgment. “Actually, Y/N, while we’re here, I’d like to ask you something.”
You glanced at him, curious.
“I know you are probably very happy here and are settled, but we could use your unique skills in the Woodland Realm. I’d like to offer you a job as one of my councillors.”
You blinked. Normally you wouldn’t consider leaving Erebor, but you were still very much hurt by Fíli’s comments.
“I’ll do it.”
Thranduil looked shocked. “You will?”
“Yes. When do we leave?”
He quickly summoned a straight face again. “Tomorrow, early.”
You nodded, curtsying again as you took your leave. “I’ll see you then.”
You left the elven-king standing there, a bemused expression on his face.
You finally reached the door to your room, shutting it behind you and leaning against it.
You were leaving Erebor. Leaving, because Fíli did not love you and you couldn’t imagine living that close to someone you loved who hated you enough to call you selfish. Leaning against the door, you felt the tears start to pour and you slid to the ground, arms around your knees as your sobbing rocked you back and forth.
After a while, you heard a knock at the door. Standing, you brushed yourself off, blotting at your swollen, red eyes before opening it.
It was Fíli.
“I am not selfish,” you exclaimed before slamming the door in his face.
Turning towards your wardrobe, you grabbed a bag, ready to pack and leave Erebor to begin your new life.
Fíli stood there in the hallway, staring at your doorway. You had clearly heard him talking to his brother and Bofur earlier. He knew you wouldn’t open the door for him again, so he sighed, turning away. He’d find you first thing tomorrow and apologize.
“Where’s Y/N?” Fíli stood in the hallway next to his brother. It was midmorning and he had set out to find you and apologize sincerely for what he had said, to tell you that he had not meant it in the slightest, that really, he loved you.
Kíli looked at Fíli. “Didn’t anyone tell you? She left with the elves. Last night.”
Fíli looked like someone had punched him in the gut.
“She left?”
Kíli nodded. “She’s gone, Fíli.”
He sighed. Of course she was gone. He had insulted her, and she wouldn’t accept that. But he still missed her.
Turning away from the pity-eyed Kíli, Fíli made his way back to his rooms. Opening the door, he sat in the armchair in the corner, silent.
A knock sounded against the hardwood.
“Come in.” The prince had barely raised his voice, but whoever was outside had head nonetheless and opened the door.
The dwarf, holding a long package, handed it to Fíli.
“What is it?” Fíli asked.
“It’s from Y/N. She ordered it from me for you.”
“Thank you,” Fíli dismissed the dwarf and sat down to unwrap the package.
It was a gorgeous pair of swords. The metal was tempered perfectly, gleaming, the edges were sharp, and when he held them it felt like they were meant for his hands.
Y/N had done all this for him.
And what had he done for her? Nothing. He had driven her away, she would never come back and it was his fault. He had been reluctant to admit it but he did truly love her. And now she was gone.
Fíli started to cry, the tears marring the surface of his gift from you, just like he had marred your heart, hurting both of you forever.
He loved you. But you were gone.
